1. Andrew Chow
Andrew Chow is an Entrepreneur, Professional Speaker,
Author and the past president of Asia Professional Speak-
ers Singapore. He is the founder of Table for Six.[1]
He
is also lecturer at CMA Academy teaching Social Media
Marketing and Digital Marketing[2]
He is considered by
Singapore Business Review to be among the top ten influ-
ential professional speakers in Singapore.[3]
Andrew has
the moniker “ideasandrew”[4][5]
1 Early life
Andrew Chow completed his business Administration de-
gree from Thames Valley University which is now known
as University of West London. In 1987, He started serv-
ing in the Singapore Armed Forces , he began his career
as a researcher in Ministry of Defence (Singapore). His
work involved operational research and planning.[6]
2 Career
Andrew started his professional career as an assistant
manager to a photo-finishing retail chain under Kodak
Singapore. In the early 1990s he lead a leading a print-
ing house which was one of the first to produce large-
format digital prints. He also served in many Finan-
cial and Investment-Bank MNCs in their presentation
material for roadshows. He also helped many corpo-
rate clients in Meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibi-
tions industry in their exhibition and tradeshow market-
ing. His companies are members of Singapore Associa-
tion of Convention, Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers
(SACEOS).[7][8]
Chow has also worked on social media campaigns for a
variety of Asian and international companies including
insurance firms AVIVA and AXA Insurance, global bank
HSBC and academic publisher John Wiley & Sons.[9][10]
He is the author of two books on Marketing and Publicity
- Social Media 247 and Public Relations 247.[11][12][13][14]
He is also a contributing author for the book 88 Essential
Secrets: For Achieving Greater Success at Work.[15]
He has been a frequent guest in Singapore Radio 938live,
Malaysia NTV7 and Radio BFM 89.9 on many talkshow
topics including his view on the leadership of the late
Founding Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr Lee Kuan
Yew[16]
He has been a keynote speaker at various events and con-
ferences including Startup Asia 2013.[17][18]
3 Charity and Philantrophy
• Andrew has organised and participated in numerous
charity, corporate responsibility and philanthropy
schemes in addition to his commercial work.
• In Nov 2011, Yahoo News reported that Chow was
among a group of 14 Asian business leaders who
would raise money for victims of devastating floods
in Thailand, Cambodia and the Philippines.[19]
• In Jan 2012, Andrew sang in the Meet The En-
trepreneur (MTE) Charity Concert graced by for-
mer Presidential Candidate Dr Tan Cheng Bock[20]
• In May 2012, Andrew created a blog [21]
and
launched a campaign to raise funds for the family
of a cab driver who was killed in a car crash. The
Strait Times reported that a total of $170,000 was
raised.[22]
• In Feb 2013 through Operation Smile as part of an
annual fund raising event (Raise Your Game 2013)
organised by the Association of Professional Speak-
ers – Singapore (APSS) [23]
• In Aug 2013, He Co-sponsored Miss Singapore
Global 2013 pageant through the partnership with
Vanessaism Inc by raising funds for Mother and
Child project.[24]
• In July 2015, he served as a volunteer for the Trans-
formation by Grace Project and played a support role
in a docu-drama “Run! Don't Run?" organised by
the Inner Beauty Crusade to raise funds for Grace
Haven, care of the Salvation Army.[25][26]
