Abstract. With a stressful every day life there is less time to handle unexpected health conditions. 80% of all patients search their symptoms on the internet prior to see their doctor. Direct Teledermatology (DT) is the practice of direct consultation between the citizen and a dermatologist. Mobile teledermatology refers to the evaluation of a patient’s skin condition through the use of images captured and sent by a mobile device. Today’s mobile phone cameras have excellent optics and can take good quality pictures, from which a dermatologist can make a sound medical judgment. The technical service offers anonymous healthcare advice “on the go” on any visual medical concern by dermatologist, in any mobile device; anytime, anywhere, anyone, 24/7. The user receives a reply within 24 hours, with possible diagnosis and treatment information or if a doctor should be seen in person. The user is charged through in app billing systems or by credit cards.
