- There are 5 phases and 4 check points in NPI process From concept&planning->EVT->DVT->PVT->MP Between two phases have a check point, The new product should pass all the test , then could pass to the next phase. All process will record in PLM system This part represent which department take care the process. There are 5 phases and 4 check points in this process. Planning: Feasibility review and test plan Technical feasibility study: New technology platform, SW, HW, FirmW, Mechanical, Thermal or special environmental spec requirement Financial analysis: Target profit margin Supply Chain feasibility study: Evaluation suitable Manufacturing site, Key components evaluation, Lead time analysis and Service model EVT: Mockup sample, Mould making and debug DVT: QA lab for certification and EMI, DQA, small modification PVT: after design freeze, technical transfer and small qty pilot run for MFG validation MP: weekly and monthly review ------- How to say: Please highlight “simultaneous同步的 engineering” in NPI process. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Next, let me point out Advantech’s NPI process. NPI is divided into 5 stages: Planning, Engineering, Design, Production Validation and finally Mass Production. Each stage is closely guarded by responsible parties ensuring all documentation is in place before the product can move on to the next stage. A group of R&D, lab and quality engineers are involved during NPI to ensure Advantech’s standard is always met.
