2. Logging Into the System
Do you have a username? If not, contact your admin to setup your account.
If you do, type in your username and password at the login screen.

3. Creating a Phone List
•Click on “Create a New
List” and then choose
the options you wish to
use when creating your
new list.
•Make sure you choose
“Walkable Houses Only”
when creating your walk
list. Otherwise, you will
have people appear in
the list who do not have
accessible addresses to
canvass.

4. Pulling your 2012 Targets
The NCDP has put together several targets for you:
• NCDP: Early Vote Target: Daytime Calls
• NCDP: Early Vote Target: Evening Calls
Depending on what type of voter contact your planning select the
appropriate target.

5. Why use these targets?
• Using these targets prevent voters from being canvassed twice in a week
by different campaigns.
• It’s a self-cleaning list that removes voters recently canvassed by other
campaigns and organizations in your area.
• Using NCDP targets allow you to maximize your time canvassing.
• Allows you to talk to the most productive voters first.
Most importantly:
Helps Democrats win elections

6. 2012 Targets Narrowing
Under the Locations drop down select your county
Once your county is selected a precinct drop down menu will be visible. It’s a
good idea to break your lists down into smaller precinct clusters of two or
three precincts at a time. Click the word “Precinct” to select multiple
precincts.

7. Checklist for Creating a List
Have you selected “Walkable Houses Only”?
Have you selected the 2012: NCDP Door to Door Walk Universe?
Have you selected your desired county and/or precincts?
If you have done all of these things click “Search”

9. Printing Your Lists
In the next menu you will
see a few options. The first
option is report format.
Select “2012 OSEV Walk
REPORT”. Then select the
“2012 NCDP Early Voting”
script.
The other options include
Contacted How (i.e. Are you
calling or canvassing this
list?) and the title of your
list, which will be printed on
the top of your lists.
The contacted how answer
will decide how your sort
order is pre-populated.
10. Printing Your Lists
On the bottom of the Print menu
you will see a few other options:
Printing Maps: Be sure to use this
feature to give your canvassers a
map of the area they’re canvassing
Print list number and page
number? Be sure this is selected.
This allows you to pull your list up
for data entry after it’s completed.
Print Early Vote Location? This
prints out a sheet with Early Voting
locations in the county.
Exclude Early, Absentee, and
Election Day voters? Be sure this is
selected to avoid canvassing voters
that have already cast a ballot.
Then hit Next
11. PDF Creation
After hitting next
the PDF creation
screen will popup.
Click “My PDF
Files” to move to
the next screen.
On the next
screen select
“Download File”.
12. Printing PDF File
Once you’ve
download the PDF
file, open it up. To
print the document
go to file in the top
right corner and
then select print.
This will bring up
the printer options
menu to allow you
to print the file.
13. Canvass Results: The legend to use when you do not reach the voter
Survey Questions: Use this legend to mark the results of the Survey Questions asked to voters.

14. Results: This section corresponds to the results key for not reaching voters
Survey Questions: This section corresponds to the answers to each question in the script
Important Information: Use this section to identify key districts each voters is registered to
vote in.
List Number: Use this number to enter the data after your voter contact event.
