4. Creativity and Success
When a kid builds a model rocket, kite or birdhouse, she
not only picks up math, physics and chemistry along the
way, she also develops her creativity, resourcefulness,
planning abilities, curiosity and engagement with the
world around her.

5. What is a MakerSpace/
Maker Education?
Modeled after hackerspaces, a makerspace is a
place where young people have an opportunity
– to explore their own interests,
– learn to use tools and materials, and develop
creative projects.
– could be a simple room in a building (library)
– The key is that it can adapted to a wide variety
of uses and can be shaped by educational
purposes including the educator and students’
creative goals.
