This document discusses open data, which refers to data that is freely available to everyone without restrictions. Open data comes from authorities and institutions and is non-personal in nature. It needs to be in a machine-readable format like CSV or XML. Open data can be used by journalists, scientists, developers and others to create projects related to health, education, transportation and more. Examples of open data projects are provided and the reader is encouraged to participate and utilize various sources of open data online.
