He First started rapping in 2010 with his debut mixtape ‘Potter Payper and the philosophers chrome.
Most known for his use of deep lyrics within his songs and freestyles.
He often uses wordplay and various flows to pain a vivid picture of how he is feeling.
Potter Payper has been incarcerated many times in the past which had driven him to focus more on his music career.
Potter Payper is half Algerian and half Irish which is where he gets his love of music from as his family members often played music to
him as a child.
He is known to be a lyric-orientated rapper with rich flows and deep lyrics.
He is also known for his use of stories that are told throughout his songs about things that has happened throughout his life.
He often brings a double meaning to his music. For example, He named his mixtape in 2015 called ’24’ not only for his age but for also
his past life involved in crime.
He does not tend to indulge in flashy clothes and materialistic things as his clothes majority of the time are comfort wear. For example,
Nike tracksuits and trainers.
He promotes himself through various streaming sights and pages (e.g. Spotify and Link up Tv) as well as keeping in touch with his fans
over social media such as Twitter and Instagram.
His attitude towards the music industry is positive as during an interview he has said “I just want to make it to be honest”.
Potter Payper was also influenced by the style of ‘booby’ growing up.

He is an English grime MC and producer known for co-funding the grime collective label ‘Boy Better Know’
Released his first Album in 2007 called ‘Greatest Hits’.
Known for his high profile beef with other grime artists. For example, Wiley and Devilman.
Known for his ‘don’t care’ attitude and love for where he comes from which is London Tottenham.
He is also known for his raw fluent flow and catchy word play that sticks in peoples heads. For example,
Skepta – shutdown.
Since becoming more known in 2012 he has also turned into a fashion icon with his different look of 2006
styles of tracksuits and windbreaker looks. This lead him to be inducted into GQ’s top 50 most fashionable
men
As he is not signed to any record label, Skepta and his group promote their selves through the BBK Website
and social media such as twitter, Instagram and snapchat.
Complimenting his love of the old school era, Skepta also regularly appears and does freestyles on radio
stations for example Logan Sama’s show to promote himself to an audience that may not hear from him
from YouTube or other platforms.
Skepta also does not often show off his money or flaunt with expensive materialistic things which will have
an influence on the artist we will use to be in our music video as we want our artist to also portray that
attitude by not wearing expensive items, to make the audience focus on the song and appreciate the visuals
of the video instead of just focusing on the materialistic things used within it.
