Essay On Circuit Panel
4 Signs It's Time To Change Your Circuit Panel If you live in an older home that's never had an electrical upgrade, there's a good chance you struggle to
power all of your electronics and appliances. Old electrical systems were not designed to handle the load that modern living demands. Homes didn't
need near as much power years ago as they do now. The solution to this problem is to have your circuit panel upgraded. This allows more power to flow
through the circuits in your home so you can keep your electronic equipment running without constant problems. Upgrading your circuit panel is not
only about your convenience. It's also about protecting your home from overloaded circuits and the risk of fire. Here are 4 signs it's time to ... Show

Your wires could be overheating and the circuits are not tripping for some reason, and this could pose a fire hazard. You Rely Heavily On Extension
Cords One big problem with older electrical systems is they have few outlets. This leads you to use power bars or extension cords. It's unsafe to run
some appliances and equipment off of extension cords. Plugging too many things into one outlet can easily overload a circuit and cause the wires to
heat up or cause the circuit to trip. A new circuit panel has more available circuits so you can split the load. A new panel along with the installation of
more outlets in your home makes your home safer and it also protects your expensive electronic equipment from electrical damage. Your Electrical
Panel Has Fuses An electrical panel that relies on fuses rather than circuit breakers is more inconvenient. When you blow a fuse, you have to replace it.
If you're out of fuses, you may have to go without power in part of your home until you run out and buy some. If you constantly blow a fuse by
overloading the circuits, you can spend a lot of money on replacements since fuses can only blow out once and then you have to throw them out. A
circuit breaker is more convenient because it flips off when the circuit is overloaded and all you have to do is flip it back on. A more important reason
to change a panel that uses fuses is to make your home more attractive to buyers if you plan to put it on the

4th of July. A day that has history for us Americans. This is the day that the thirteen colonies gained independence from England in 1776. Becoming a
national holiday called Independence Day, it is now widely celebrated across the country. Celebrated with red, white, and blue. Celebrated with parades
covering the streets. Celebrated with the one explosive necessity to make the holiday PERFECT. What would this necessity be? Fireworks, of course!
They are a large part of not only Independence day, but many other holidays around the world. Today we will launch into the origins of fireworks, then
we will soar through the mechanics of fireworks, and finally, explode into the use of fireworks around the world today. The origin of fireworks can ...

"And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air" is one of the lines that introduce the high notes of the song. This is an important section of the
National Anthem because it signifies the rockets and bombs that Francis Scott Key experienced that he used as inspiration to write the Star Spangled
Banner. Another well known song that incorporates fireworks is the pop song by Katy Perry, Firework. While this song mentions actual fireworks, the
meaning behind the catchy tune isn't so concrete. What this song is all about is empowering yourself and to be the best you can be. This is portrayed by
the chorus when it hums "Baby, you're a firework, Come on, let your colours burst, Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah", You're gonna leave 'em all in awe,

1940: The Development Of The Variable-Time (VT)
The development of the Variable–Time (VT) Fuse, or proximity fuse, began in the summer of 1940, with Hitler's invasions encouraging the United
States of America to begin developing a fuse that could detonate a projectile once it was in close proximity to an aircraft. In September of 1940, the
United States (US) learned that the British were working on such a fuse, however, they could not make it workable once it was connected to a
projectile. When fired from a cannon, the projectile was subject to forces 20,000 times the force of gravity, resulting in the vacuum tubes used for
assembly breaking. In August of 1942, the U.S.S. Cleveland conducted the first pre–combat service tests, firing at radio controlled planes as targets.

The Long Fuse Essay
The Long Fuse
In Laurence Lafore's book titled The Long Fuse he discusses the conflicts of World War I and describes how Austria–Hungary was considered to be the
"Second Sick Man of Europe". During a time when Europe seemed to be moving faster towards progressive ideas and towards the sweeping away of
old institutes, Turkey was the original Sick Man of Europe, mostly caused constitutional and national problems. The European order was based upon
the assumption of nations in 1871, a kind of mutual protection, and as Austria was not a nation, it was in line after Turkey to become the second Sick
Man of Europe. The term "Sick Man", in referring to a nation, according to Laurence Lafore, would be in circumstances that could lead to a type ...

It was Germany's goal gain strategic position that enemy forces may gain to use against them, such as Austria. Bismarck was also contemplating
another war to banish the French threat once and for all. Germany's interest played a key roll in pushing Austria–Hungary to disaster. The Emperor's
League that was formed, which consisted of Germany, Austria, and Italy, did one major thing; it brought Austria and Germany closer together. Major
problem developed after the Turkey's revolution, Austria's power position was threatened by the expansion in the Balkans, and also left Austria
occupying Bosnia, Herzegovina, and Novibazar. This left Austria a need to find new bordering allies, and Germany could use that to avoid potential
threats from France. Their alliance, and Austria's unique political system, caused a situation where Germany may need to intervene in situations outside
of its own interests, which in a way happened. For the most part, Austria–Hungry did well as a nation, but foreign interests and pressures from
Germany would lead the pack into an optimistic failure. Optimism and poor predictions were a few of the things that hit the two countries hard. Failing
to predict Great Britain's involvement could have been one of their greatest failures, but perhaps Great Britain not disclosing their plans to get involved
is what led to the disaster as well. The political system of Austria–Hungary was slow and indecisive. It was that system that led to the decision of

"Truth and the Historian" Main argument This is both an introduction to the book and an essay about the causes of World War I, as seen by other
historical writers and Lafore himself. He states that "World War I has become a fashion and a fad," and, while there is nothing wrong with the topic
being widely discussed, historians should be careful in using research and analyzing historical topics. The introduction outlines the sources of the
conflict that later was known as the Great War. All of the events: hostilities between the great powers, competition for the sea, and expansionism: were
what has led to that conflict. But Lafore also argues that no cause can be singled out as the most important, because they all contributed to the ... Show

Artillery Weapons In Ww2
One of the most remarkable advances in artillery weapons in WWII was the proximity fuse. In both of the World Wars there was a need for a fuse that
could air burst over targets without the need for registrations. By 1944 the U.S. had built an operational proximity fuse. On the morning of December
16, 1944, the commander of the U.S. 406th Artillery Group, Colonel George Axelson. Had his battalion shoot the first VT fuze in support of the 38th
Cavalry Squadron. That was dug in around the town of Monschau, Germany and about to be overrun by the German offensive. The Germans stopped
their attack of the 38th Cavalry Squadron when the shells fired from the 406th Artillery Group bust over the heads. The function of the field artillery is

Essay On Earth Fault Circuit Interrupter
Happy Holidays Folks! It's a magical time of the year. Have fun as you shop, enjoy special holiday events, and spend time with your family.
Many of you will be displaying Christmas lights and yard decorations.
Here are some tips:
.Weatherproofing chord connections
Your source of power should come from a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) outlet. This device will shut the circuit down if there is an overloaded
current.
Use a waterproof extension cord cover. A waterproof extension cord cover unique protects extension and a power cord from accidental unplugs and
outdoor weather.
When you connect extension cords, snap this device around the connection to seal it tight. Simply plug cords together, set adjustable cord connector, ...

For a 20–amp circuit, the load limit is 2,400 watts. On a multiple–outlet circuit, you find any appliance or equipment rated at more than half the circuit
rating, 900 watts for a 15–amp circuit
When using extension cords, make sure they are rated for outdoor use, and keep the connections above ground, snow and water.
Plug all the lights in to make sure all bulbs are working.
Tape cords across walkways, and use the correct length needed to travel to your lights. You don't want your cords to be too long so they pile up and
create walking hazards.
A circuit is overloaded if the total load exceeds 1,800 watts for a 15–amp circuit. (120 volts x 15 amps = 1,800 watts.)
Make sure to turn your lights off when you leave or go to bed at night.
Use a good ladder when installing your lights. Secure them with insulated holders (never use tacks or nails). .
Things to Remember
Never use indoor Christmas lights outdoors.
Don't place lights on trees that touch power lines.
Too many things plugged into a circuit can cause an overload
Look for the amp rating of the circuit in tiny numbers on the circuit breaker switch or fuse. For a 20–amp circuit, the load limit is 2,400 watts. On a

Persuasive Essay On How Fireworks Work
[Adam]
Ms. Herring
7th Grade ELA
[11–9–17]
How do fireworks work.
Do you think fireworks are fun to use? Fireworks are attractive when lit off and can also be safe. When you think of fireworks you normally think of
aerial fireworks, but there are more than just aerial fireworks. There are Firecrackers, smoke bombs, sparklers, and fountains.
An aerial firework is normally a shell that consists of four parts. Stick (tail): The first thing you notice is a long wooden or plastic stick protruding from
the bottom that ensures the firework shoots in a straight line. That's important for two reasons. First, so that fireworks go where you intend to and don't
fly in a random direction, causing fires, property damage, or injuries. They typically contain little balls of colored explosives called "stars." Located just
below the shell is a small cylinder that contains the lifting charge. It helps display organizers to position firework effects with accuracy and precision.
Cylinders are formed into spheres, cubes, or cylinders that are usually 3–4 centimeters (1–1½ inch) in diameter. The shells must be assembled in such a
way that each section explodes in sequence to produce a distinct separate effect. The explosives that breaks the sections apart are called break charges.
The mortar might be a short, steel pipe with a lifting charge of black powder that explodes in the pipe to launch the shell. Each star contains four
chemical ingredients: an oxidizing agent, a fuel, a

1.1 General
Make sure that the circuit breaker is filled with gas and that the first operation is already carried out. Quite often the local operation of a circuit breaker
is interlocked with the disconnector position on the both sides of the breaker i.e. the related disconnectors have to in open position to enable the local
operation of the breaker. The thermostat for the dehydrate heater should be set approximately to 10 C, if not otherwise stated in the manufacturer's
manual. Close the spring charging motor supply miniature circuit breaker. Generally the charging time should not exceed 15 seconds. Switch the
breaker for local control. Before connecting the control voltage on make sure that no wiring mistakes are done, resulting a continuos voltage to be
applied to the trip coils. 1.2 Necessary testing equipment
*Micro–ohm meter for contact resistance checking (with supply cables)
*Timer for timing tests

The Boston Matrix for Cadbury's
The Boston Matrix
The Boston Matrix is a tool used by marketing managers to make decisions on which products within their portfolio that they should market and under
what category on the
Boston Matrix they fall into. There are four sections to the Boston Matrix, problem child, stars, dogs and cash cows. Each category is different to one
another as they represent different products on how they are selling. The Boston Matrix can be useful to a business like Cadburys as they have a wide
range of products in which they can separate to these four different categories. This can determine for Cadburys which products they could possibly
market.
The four different categories within the Boston Matrix are: * Problem Children * Stars ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This had increased sales within the introduction thus having a high growth market and high market share straight away with sales of 40 million within
the first week. The reason for his is due to the huge marketing campaign that Cadburys had set up which led to a global rollout of the product on the
September 24 1996 called "Fuse day".
Following from this the Fuse bar fell into the "cash cow" section. This is because everyone knew about the Fuse Bar and recognised it. This left it with
no new potential consumers. This is why they were within this section.
Then the Fuse Bar went through the "problem child" section. This only lasted for about a month or two. This was because no one really knows what
had happened but it is suggested that the Fuse Bar was trying to market itself more and fell into having a high growth market and a low market share.
Because the share had dropped, it had potential to grow again so they re–advertised again.
The last section that they were left it before they officially closed was the "dogs" section. This is because after they pulled their advertisement the Fuse
Bar didn't have much attention given to it, which left it to decline within the market and not many people were buying it either. This is why they were in
this section at the end which lasted 5

What is a portal? In some ways it's a gateway to another place. In others, it's a mental escape. In "Sonny's Blues" there was a line about Sonny taking
drugs not because he wanted to die, but rather because he wanted to live. Alluding to the idea that drugs(heroine) was giving something that this world
could not provide him without their assistance. At surface level, this may seem like he is obviously talking the euphoric ecstasy of drugs, but there's
more to it than that. Sonny does not take the drugs for the 'high' he gets off of them, but rather to escape his woes. Drugs simulate a sense of numbness
that allow him to forget the painful memories of the passing of his parents, his time in jail, things he may have seen in the navy,

Process Essay: How Do Human Bones Grow?
How Do Human Bones Grow?
Why are we born with 300 bones but die with 206?
When we are born, we have 300 bones but as we get older and taller, our bones will fuse together and we receive the bigger bones that we have now in
our body. This project will focus on how bones grow. First, we will study how bones grow from our childhood to adults. Last, we will study how you
can help your bones grow.
Babies are born with more bones than kids and adults! They have about 300 bones but when they grow, their bone will fuse together and form a bigger
bone. If you think that your 300 tiny bones go away, no they do not. Actually, they fuse together over time and get a bigger bone! Children have layers
of these cells in the shape of plate at the ends of their bones. They close up when kids reach their full adult height. When you grow, your cartilage
grows too, it gets replaced by a bone with the help from calcium. (Nation Center for Families, 2010) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nowhere, they just continue to form more bones! We usually have 206 bones as teens and adults size but for babies they're born with 300, as they grow
it forms bigger bones. After your 300 bones grow together, the extras will still fuse together. The human skeleton begins to develop 13 to 16 weeks after
conception. The simple question to where your extra bones go is nowhere. (The Bulletin, N.D.)
If you want a strong, big, and healthy bone, there is a drink called "Bone–Up" but it's expensive around 20–50 dollars! You don't have to spend much
just to get bigger bones. You can eat healthy foods like fruits and vegetables. Kids height grow faster in between 11–12 years old. It stops growing at
14–15 years old. If you want your bones to keep growing, you just have to get taller. To be able to get taller, you have to eat healthy and drink healthy.
When you get taller, your bones will stretch out and grow. (Foot Health Facts,

The remaining capacitor elements in the unit remain in service with a higher voltage across them than before the failure and an increased in capacitor
unit current. If a second element fails the process repeats itself resulting in an even higher voltage for the remaining elements. Successive failures
within the same unit will make the fuse to operate, disconnecting the capacitor unit and indicating the failed one. Externally fused SCBs are configured
using one or more series groups of parallel–connected capacitor units per phase (Fig. 2). The available unbalance signal level decreases as the number
of series groups of capacitors is increased or as the number of capacitor units in parallel per series group is increased. However, the kiloVar rating of the

Citizens view all levels of government in the country as corrupt and lazy yet many still believe that the government is the best option for making things
better. Since 1994, the country has basically been a one part country ruled by the African National Congress (ANC). They have had a two–thirds
majority since the creation of the new constitution and has used that power many times to alter the constitution. The ANC is considered to be pretty far
left on their platform and policies. They believe in living wages, a very strong social safety net, and guarantee living quarters. The political scene has

Evolution Of Cannon Essay
The Evolution of Cannons and Ammunition In the mid 19th century, the United States of America had erupted into a civil war. Weaponry and military
tactics were evolving at a rapid pace. Advancements in weapon systems were increasing the maximum effective range of the weapons, thus making the
standoff distance between fighting forces much greater. To remain relevant the artillery had no other alternative, but to progress with the other tools of
warfare. The days of the smooth bore cannons for breaching fortified walls and short–range combat support were concluding. New technology and

The expanding gases from the burning propellant could escape around the projectiles. Prior to mid 19th century, cannon ammunition consisted of round
cannon balls of different varieties. Solid cannonballs (shot), primarily for breeching fortification walls and close support, these cannonballs did not

How Did The Big Bang Theory Exist

everything around us are made by stars (Hawking). The Big Bang Theory is used to tell how the universe and earth was created. The universe started

feel the full affect of the explosion. The quieter rumbles still give off noise so they are not completely overshadowed. Just like the size of the explosion,
the noise it gives off leaves impressions as well. Every graduate will hopefully accomplish something in their life, no matter how big or how small, that
will either be significantly noticed and felt in a large boom, or be casually noticed but still heard in a crackle. They might not both receive the same
recognition, but both will entitle each other to create a magnificent display

Type II Supernovae
Type II supernova results from the rapid collapse and explosion of a massive star. For a star to explode as a type II supernova it must be several times
more massive than the sun. it is estimated that their mass must be at least 8 times greater than that of the sun, but no more than 40–50 times the suns
mass.
Stars generate energy via nuclear fusion of elements. Stars of the magnitude great enough to become type II supernovae possess the mass needed to
fuse elements that have an atomic mass greater than hydrogen and helium. The energy generated by these fusion reactions is large enough that it is able
to counter the force of gravity and prevent the star from collapsing, maintaining stellar equilibrium. The helium produced in the core builds

Battle Of The Bulge Research Paper
Battle of the Bulge
SGT Bartleson, Taylor /SGT Haddox, Matthew /SGT Taggart, Matthew /SGT VincenteMejia, Maximo
13J30 Class 005–18 During World War II there were many battles that took place. One particular known battle was the "Battle of the Bulge" also
known as the battle of Ardennes, from December 16th, 1944 to January 16th, 1945. It was the Last major German offense on the Western Front during
WWII, and it was a futile attempt to push the Allies back from German home territory. This name was given by Winston Churchill, a description of the
resistance he mistakenly supposed was being offered to the Germans' breakthrough in that are before the Anglo–French collapse. The word Bulge
denotes to the wedge that the Germans drove into Allied lines. This informative research of the Battle of the Bulge, focuses on the Field Artillery
branch, its immense efforts in the battle, as well how as some advances in the branch; i.e. proximity fuse. This battle is also a great example to why
field artillery is the "king of battle". It was December 16, 1944 and the war in Europe was coming to a head. The Allied forces were taking ... Show

The Impact Of The Allies In World War II
World War II, the second time of the world war, lasted from September 1th, 1939 to September 2th 1945. There were two difference alliances in the
WWII, the Axis and Anti–fascist Alliance. The winner of the WWII was Allies, and there are many reasons that can explain why Allies can win it. The
most important reason is that Allies gained most support from the public and citizens because Allies represented the justice side. However, there is also
a crucial factor that helps the Allies to win the WWII which is the new invention and technology. Inventors made new weapons such as tanks, proximity
fuses and atom bomb. The impacts of these weapons were positive to Allies in WWII and those new inventions make a big step of human progress.

Atom bomb is a new bomb invention during the WWII. "Begin in 1944, some young Japanese men chose to become kamikaze pilots who undertook
suicide missions, crashing their explosive–laden airplanes into American warships" (Ellis Esler 588). Because of this team, Japan won a lot of battles
and it made the United States angry. Some scientists offered a new way to end of the war. They invented a new bomb, this new bomb was super
powerful than any bomb before, and this project is called the Manhattan Project. In July 1945, American successfully tested the first atom bomb in
Alamogordo, New Mexico. Then they told president about this project, during that time, the president of America is Harry Truman. And he found that
atom bomb was a really useful weapon to end the war, so he decided to use it to against Japan. They gave Japan a warning about that surrender or
"complete destruction" and "utter devastation". But Japan even didn't care about this. Then, the hell was coming. On August6, 1945, American dropped
the first atom bomb "little boy" over the city of Hiroshima. "The bomb flattened four square miles and instantly killed more than 70,000 people" (Ellis
Esler 589). We can find that the atom bomb was a definitely destruct weapon, it killed 70,000 people at the same time. "We turned back to look at
Hiroshima. The city was hidden by that awful cloud...

The Force That Through The Green Fuse Drives The Flower
"The Force that Through The Green Fuse Drives the Flower" is a twenty–two line poem, made up of five stanzas, written by Dylan Thomas (1934) and
follows the rhyme scheme ABABA. By first reading it, it may seem more difficult to understand, however, a close analysis will make Thomas' images
much clearer. There is no one explanation for this poem, for the ideas can be seen from many different lenses. There may be elements that seem
contradictory but since the poem is about contrast, change, and paradox, contradictions may also be apart of the poem 's meaning. A "force" is
mentioned heavenly throughout the poem which will be the analytical focus of my essay. I will focus on the theme and definition of the "force"
mentioned in the poem and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, "age", can be referenced to time, or a span of time which is the opposite of youthful. Kushner explains that "age...appearing in the first
stanza, establishes that this is a poem, one that aims for the fences. Against this huge, complex backdrop of a sweeping look at the entire world is the
rather small 'I,' who is 'dumb to mouth'–– a speechless speaker." (par. 6). Thomas is subjected to this nature and by using the word 'dumb' it explains
how he is unable to convey his insight. He later shares this same fate with a flower in line 5. By line 6, the focus changes from man and biological
references to man and geological references and Thomas begins to introduce the power, or force, of water. "The memorable, water–like rush of sound
creates a 'force' that beautifully mimics the brute power and frequently baffling tendencies of the natural phenomena the poem describes." (Kushner par.
22). And so, he explains that blood is pushed through man's veins just as the movement of water. However the contrast in color, from green to red
shows a decline in freshness, youth and life and more comparison to darkness and death. It continues to be difficult for Thomas to communicate with
his own body. When Kushner says that, "Thomas...is not just a poet of thick sounds, with like letters piled one on top of the other. He is also a poet of
thick layers, [and] of thick meanings." (par. 14) she's referring to his, deeper than the surface,

The Darkling Thrush And The Force That Through The Green...
Natural instances are prominent in Hardy's "The Darkling Thrush" and Thomas's "The Force That Through the Green Fuse Drives the Flower". Hardy
reminisces over the past while witnessing a changing society while Thomas reminisces over the certain destruction of his youth and vitality, even with
different concerns both authors' problems are due to passing time. Both poems have a certain contrast when explaining their theme but both are aware
of the idea of death being a natural occurrence that awaits all of us. The two author's similarities are highlighted by a look at form, tone, words, and
continuous use of nature to depict theme. In "The Darkling Thrush" the speaker ponders how slow death surrounds him, and how life is diminishing
with almost no reason to live in a new era full of dullness. The speaker shows intense reflection over his thoughts and works through his ideas. When
the speaker hears a beautiful song coming from a dying bird, his dark realistic perspective of living changes as he sees that the birds last breaths were
spent singing a song. He continues to be realistic over the topic of death and not overthink the "full – hearted evensong" (Hardy 615), but the bird gives
him a chance to think about something more hopeful in this bleak world. The bird, a thrush which is found in nature symbolizes the natural side of
death. Even if it was passing, the bird reflected his soul in song creating the idea of a death just being a lulling moment in a gloom lonely world;

Utilitarianism: Land, Fuse, And Hornaday
The story implicitly exposes the contrasting ethical principles behind two different schools of thought.
According to Land, Fuse, & Hornaday, (2014) "...classical utilitarianism, which seeks to maximize pleasure while minimizing pain, or to promote
happiness while mitigating unhappiness, to engender the best positive outcome in a given situation" (p. 18). Apart from targeting Jews for
extermination, the Natzi Regime also committed heinous crimes in the name of medical and scientific research (Caplan, 1989, p. 2).
Furthermore, Caplan (1989) asserts that "the German physicians who administered the euthanasia program, supervised mass genocide, and conducted
brutal experiments on Jews and other groups in concentration camps grounded their actions on utilitarian principles. The state was justified in
demanding the sacrifice of the minority to advance the interests of the majority–only those "doomed to die" were selected for research involving lethal
experiments." (p. 2)
In other words, the Germans believed their actions, depriving the Jews of their most basic human rights, were justified because it did the greatest good
for the greatest number. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Mine (2015) "communitarianism is about the balancing of individual rights with social responsibilities and obligations" (p. 3). Therefore,

universal values or protonorms agreed upon by humanity regardless of cultural specificities. It neither espouses nor eschews tribal or communal values
per se, but holds them accountable to universal values that serve to sustain human solidarity"

BUSINESS CHALLENGE:
The rapid advent of digital communications has driven up the audience reached by news and media companies but has also intensified the pressure to
stay competitive and deliver enhanced performance on these businesses.
TMG was also under the similar pressure. It wanted to make the creation and dissemination of digital content its first priority. TMG desired to generate
new revenue streams through delivering digital content quickly and cost–effectively. The main obstacle in achieving these goals was TMG's legacy
application environment. The point–to–point integration to key platforms limited the flexibility and scalability of the applications. Even a small change

Reactions To The Declaration Of War In The Long Fuse By...
War is a complex part of human nature, throughout history there has been many different reactions to the declaration of war. Such as the Vietnam War
or the wars in the middle east which saw mixed to negative reactions from the public. While World War One was seen with much excitement and a time
of patriotism in countries such as France and Germany. This begs the question of what causes a society to become excited and euphoric over an event
that caused millions to perish. While some such as the middle and higher class were euphoric and excited for war, the reality set in for the lower class
who knew that this war would result in death and destruction for Europe. While some images showed that the public was in a type of war fever, it didn't
show the reality of those watching their loved ones leave for a war that, while some thought would be quick and decisive, ended in over four years of
fighting and 50 million dead. Europe throughout the 19th to early 20th century was a powder keg, tensions rose astronomically though this time and it
was only a matter of time before it exploded. Cultural, territorial, and political difference ignited the fuse. In the Long Fuse by Laurence Lafore, Lafore
discusses how France, an incredibly homogenous population, had issues with the Germans and their cultural differences. Including some areas between
France and Germany where populations had identity issues when it came to their nations, especially Alsace, "They were certainly overwhelmingly

Supergiant Star Research Paper
By definition a supergiant star is larger, brighter, and more massive than a giant star. They fuse elements heavier than helium and are usually classified
by having more than 10 solar masses. A solar mass is the mass of the sun. There doesn't seem to be a concrete definition of a star, but most people
classify them by the criteria I mentioned. If we look over the the hertzsprung Russell diagram, supergiants occupy a spectral range between O–M. This
corresponds to temperatures ranging from 3,500 – 30,000K. All supergiants are extremely luminous; being at least over 30,000 the luminosity of the
sun. There are two main types of supergiants, the red and blue supergiants. Blue supergiants usually form from mains sequence stars ranging from 10–

They are larger and cooler with temps ranging from 3,500– 4,500K. When fusion of helium is rapid, the star expands. When fusion is slow, the star may
condense and form a blue supergiant. There is a lot of different forms of nucleosynthesis present in supergiant and larger stars called hypergiants.
Intense heat and compression of atoms, specifically helium atoms, allow for the fusion of heavier elements. After these large stars begin helium fusion,
higher core temperatures can lead to the creation of Carbon–12. This process, called the triple–alpha process begins with two helium atoms fusing to
form a Beryllium–8 isotope. This isotope is reactive, but if helium atom were to strike it and fuse before its half life, a stable carbon atom is formed.
This carbon atom can be used in the CNO cycle, but also builds up in a inert core of carbon. As the inert core builds in mass, it reaches a point where it
compresses until it reaches a high temperature, initiating the burning of the core. Two carbon atoms can fuse creating an inert neon core and more
helium to fuse in the helium core or create new elements. Alternatively, two carbon atoms can fuse to create an inert oxygen

Analytical Review of Cutting the Fuse
This quote by Pat Robertson works as a great illustration for how our nation reacted to the suicide attacks carried out by Al–Qaeda on United States
soil. The initial reaction by political pundits and politicians alike was that the only cause of these attacks was due to a radical Islamic view on the world.
However, in Robert A. Pape and James K. Feldman's book Cutting the Fuse they try to analyze data on suicide bombing and try to determine what is
the root cause of these violent acts. Their conclusions are the exact opposite of the rhetoric that was presented to the American public. Instead of
blaming Islamic extremists, they instead come to the conclusion, "that military occupation is the main factor driving suicide terrorism" (Pape &
Feldman 10). Furthermore, they also put forth the argument that our current military strategies involving military occupation are counter–productive
because rather than deterring violence, it actually increases suicide–bombings committed against American forces. In this paper I will examine the
conclusions Robert Pape and James Feldman have come to and will also analyze these conclusions in Cutting the Fuse with a belief that this text works
to refute much of what the American public has been told. However, before we can begin to analyze the judgements that are presented within the text I
must first defend my position as to why I believe Cutting the Fuse is an excellent book. During a heated press conference in 2009 former University of

Battle Of Elsenborn Ridge Essay
The Battle of Elsenborn Ridge was a definitive, but effortful, victory of the Battle of the Bulge. On the 16th of December 1944, the Battle of the Bulge
officially commenced on Belgian grounds (Cole 331). Among its many, devastating battles, the Battle of Elsenborn Ridge remains the most compelling,
due to the unwavering resilience of American forces. American artillery in this battle arose with relative force, effectively withstanding and deflecting
German forces. Victory, in the Battle of the Bulge, eluded American forces until the fateful Battle of Elsenborn Ridge. This was due, primarily, to the
adaptive repurposing of existing weaponry, and other timely innovations. The Americans established a rigid defensive line at Elsenborn Ridge, a
portion of Belgian territory, which became the fortuitous target of German attacks on the Roderhohe and Kodenhovel. The Germans were pristinely
equipped in this war and content in their capacity to expel American forces. However, their hopes were tarnished as American artillery erected a
formidable defense on their attacks. The American military mounted a heap of Pozit fuze shells, proximity fuses, and artillery adapted to diffuse the
German forces (Cole 361). These attacks proved highly destructive amid the sight of countless German and American casualties. Hence, German ...

– An electronic device used to protect circuit from over current, overload and make sure the protection of the circuit.
– Excessive current in any electrical circuit can be hazardous and it is caused by overloads and short–circuit.
– Contains a length of filament which melts when exposed to an abnormally high current, breaking the circuit.
– Consist of low resistance metallic wire enclosed in a non–combustible material.
– When there is over current, the thin wire in the fuse melt due to heat generated by the heavy current flowing through it. Thus, disconnected power

RCD will not protect against the overheating that results when conductors are not properly screwed into their terminals.
RCD will not protect against live–neutral shocks, because the current in the live and neutral is balanced.
Advantages and disadvantages between fuses and circuit breakers
Circuit–breakers are more advantageous compared to fuses because circuit–breakers respond quicker, are more sensitive and reliable and they can be

Advantages of circuit breaker over the fuse:
1. When tripped it can be reset easily.
2. Faulty circuit is easily identified.

effects of drug abuse and addiction. It is a wide known fact to most people involved in crime today, especially the teenagers started as a result of drug

Essay On Circuit Panel

  • 1. Essay On Circuit Panel 4 Signs It's Time To Change Your Circuit Panel If you live in an older home that's never had an electrical upgrade, there's a good chance you struggle to power all of your electronics and appliances. Old electrical systems were not designed to handle the load that modern living demands. Homes didn't need near as much power years ago as they do now. The solution to this problem is to have your circuit panel upgraded. This allows more power to flow through the circuits in your home so you can keep your electronic equipment running without constant problems. Upgrading your circuit panel is not only about your convenience. It's also about protecting your home from overloaded circuits and the risk of fire. Here are 4 signs it's time to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Your wires could be overheating and the circuits are not tripping for some reason, and this could pose a fire hazard. You Rely Heavily On Extension Cords One big problem with older electrical systems is they have few outlets. This leads you to use power bars or extension cords. It's unsafe to run some appliances and equipment off of extension cords. Plugging too many things into one outlet can easily overload a circuit and cause the wires to heat up or cause the circuit to trip. A new circuit panel has more available circuits so you can split the load. A new panel along with the installation of more outlets in your home makes your home safer and it also protects your expensive electronic equipment from electrical damage. Your Electrical Panel Has Fuses An electrical panel that relies on fuses rather than circuit breakers is more inconvenient. When you blow a fuse, you have to replace it. If you're out of fuses, you may have to go without power in part of your home until you run out and buy some. If you constantly blow a fuse by overloading the circuits, you can spend a lot of money on replacements since fuses can only blow out once and then you have to throw them out. A circuit breaker is more convenient because it flips off when the circuit is overloaded and all you have to do is flip it back on. A more important reason to change a panel that uses fuses is to make your home more attractive to buyers if you plan to put it on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Informative Essay On Fireworks Research Paper 4th of July. A day that has history for us Americans. This is the day that the thirteen colonies gained independence from England in 1776. Becoming a national holiday called Independence Day, it is now widely celebrated across the country. Celebrated with red, white, and blue. Celebrated with parades covering the streets. Celebrated with the one explosive necessity to make the holiday PERFECT. What would this necessity be? Fireworks, of course! They are a large part of not only Independence day, but many other holidays around the world. Today we will launch into the origins of fireworks, then we will soar through the mechanics of fireworks, and finally, explode into the use of fireworks around the world today. The origin of fireworks can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air" is one of the lines that introduce the high notes of the song. This is an important section of the National Anthem because it signifies the rockets and bombs that Francis Scott Key experienced that he used as inspiration to write the Star Spangled Banner. Another well known song that incorporates fireworks is the pop song by Katy Perry, Firework. While this song mentions actual fireworks, the meaning behind the catchy tune isn't so concrete. What this song is all about is empowering yourself and to be the best you can be. This is portrayed by the chorus when it hums "Baby, you're a firework, Come on, let your colours burst, Make 'em go, "Aah, aah, aah", You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, ... • 3. 1940: The Development Of The Variable-Time (VT) The development of the Variable–Time (VT) Fuse, or proximity fuse, began in the summer of 1940, with Hitler's invasions encouraging the United States of America to begin developing a fuse that could detonate a projectile once it was in close proximity to an aircraft. In September of 1940, the United States (US) learned that the British were working on such a fuse, however, they could not make it workable once it was connected to a projectile. When fired from a cannon, the projectile was subject to forces 20,000 times the force of gravity, resulting in the vacuum tubes used for assembly breaking. In August of 1942, the U.S.S. Cleveland conducted the first pre–combat service tests, firing at radio controlled planes as targets. The crew ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Long Fuse Essay The Long Fuse In Laurence Lafore's book titled The Long Fuse he discusses the conflicts of World War I and describes how Austria–Hungary was considered to be the "Second Sick Man of Europe". During a time when Europe seemed to be moving faster towards progressive ideas and towards the sweeping away of old institutes, Turkey was the original Sick Man of Europe, mostly caused constitutional and national problems. The European order was based upon the assumption of nations in 1871, a kind of mutual protection, and as Austria was not a nation, it was in line after Turkey to become the second Sick Man of Europe. The term "Sick Man", in referring to a nation, according to Laurence Lafore, would be in circumstances that could lead to a type ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was Germany's goal gain strategic position that enemy forces may gain to use against them, such as Austria. Bismarck was also contemplating another war to banish the French threat once and for all. Germany's interest played a key roll in pushing Austria–Hungary to disaster. The Emperor's League that was formed, which consisted of Germany, Austria, and Italy, did one major thing; it brought Austria and Germany closer together. Major problem developed after the Turkey's revolution, Austria's power position was threatened by the expansion in the Balkans, and also left Austria occupying Bosnia, Herzegovina, and Novibazar. This left Austria a need to find new bordering allies, and Germany could use that to avoid potential threats from France. Their alliance, and Austria's unique political system, caused a situation where Germany may need to intervene in situations outside of its own interests, which in a way happened. For the most part, Austria–Hungry did well as a nation, but foreign interests and pressures from Germany would lead the pack into an optimistic failure. Optimism and poor predictions were a few of the things that hit the two countries hard. Failing to predict Great Britain's involvement could have been one of their greatest failures, but perhaps Great Britain not disclosing their plans to get involved is what led to the disaster as well. The political system of Austria–Hungary was slow and indecisive. It was that system that led to the decision of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Long Fuse Notes Essay "Truth and the Historian" Main argument This is both an introduction to the book and an essay about the causes of World War I, as seen by other historical writers and Lafore himself. He states that "World War I has become a fashion and a fad," and, while there is nothing wrong with the topic being widely discussed, historians should be careful in using research and analyzing historical topics. The introduction outlines the sources of the conflict that later was known as the Great War. All of the events: hostilities between the great powers, competition for the sea, and expansionism: were what has led to that conflict. But Lafore also argues that no cause can be singled out as the most important, because they all contributed to the ... In both of the World Wars there was a need for a fuse that could air burst over targets without the need for registrations. By 1944 the U.S. had built an operational proximity fuse. On the morning of December 16, 1944, the commander of the U.S. 406th Artillery Group, Colonel George Axelson. Had his battalion shoot the first VT fuze in support of the 38th Cavalry Squadron. That was dug in around the town of Monschau, Germany and about to be overrun by the German offensive. • 8. Persuasive Essay On How Fireworks Work [Adam] Ms. Herring 7th Grade ELA [11–9–17] How do fireworks work. Do you think fireworks are fun to use? Fireworks are attractive when lit off and can also be safe. When you think of fireworks you normally think of aerial fireworks, but there are more than just aerial fireworks. There are Firecrackers, smoke bombs, sparklers, and fountains. An aerial firework is normally a shell that consists of four parts. Stick (tail): The first thing you notice is a long wooden or plastic stick protruding from the bottom that ensures the firework shoots in a straight line. That's important for two reasons. First, so that fireworks go where you intend to and don't fly in a random direction, causing fires, property damage, or injuries. They typically contain little balls of colored explosives called "stars." Located just below the shell is a small cylinder that contains the lifting charge. It helps display organizers to position firework effects with accuracy and precision. Cylinders are formed into spheres, cubes, or cylinders that are usually 3–4 centimeters (1–1½ inch) in diameter. The shells must be assembled in such a way that each section explodes in sequence to produce a distinct separate effect. The explosives that breaks the sections apart are called break charges. The mortar might be a short, steel pipe with a lifting charge of black powder that explodes in the pipe to launch the shell. Each star contains four chemical ingredients: an oxidizing agent, a fuel, a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Boston Matrix for Cadbury's The Boston Matrix The Boston Matrix is a tool used by marketing managers to make decisions on which products within their portfolio that they should market and under what category on the Boston Matrix they fall into. There are four sections to the Boston Matrix, problem child, stars, dogs and cash cows. Each category is different to one another as they represent different products on how they are selling. The Boston Matrix can be useful to a business like Cadburys as they have a wide range of products in which they can separate to these four different categories. This can determine for Cadburys which products they could possibly market. The four different categories within the Boston Matrix are: * Problem Children * Stars ... This had increased sales within the introduction thus having a high growth market and high market share straight away with sales of 40 million within the first week. The reason for his is due to the huge marketing campaign that Cadburys had set up which led to a global rollout of the product on the September 24 1996 called "Fuse day". Following from this the Fuse bar fell into the "cash cow" section. This is because everyone knew about the Fuse Bar and recognised it. This left it with no new potential consumers. This is why they were within this section. Then the Fuse Bar went through the "problem child" section. This only lasted for about a month or two. This was because no one really knows what had happened but it is suggested that the Fuse Bar was trying to market itself more and fell into having a high growth market and a low market share. Because the share had dropped, it had potential to grow again so they re–advertised again. The last section that they were left it before they officially closed was the "dogs" section. This is because after they pulled their advertisement the Fuse Bar didn't have much attention given to it, which left it to decline within the market and not many people were buying it either. In "Sonny's Blues" there was a line about Sonny taking drugs not because he wanted to die, but rather because he wanted to live. Alluding to the idea that drugs(heroine) was giving something that this world could not provide him without their assistance. At surface level, this may seem like he is obviously talking the euphoric ecstasy of drugs, but there's more to it than that. Sonny does not take the drugs for the 'high' he gets off of them, but rather to escape his woes. When we are born, we have 300 bones but as we get older and taller, our bones will fuse together and we receive the bigger bones that we have now in our body. This project will focus on how bones grow. First, we will study how bones grow from our childhood to adults. Last, we will study how you can help your bones grow. Babies are born with more bones than kids and adults! They have about 300 bones but when they grow, their bone will fuse together and form a bigger bone. If you think that your 300 tiny bones go away, no they do not. Actually, they fuse together over time and get a bigger bone! Children have layers of these cells in the shape of plate at the ends of their bones. They close up when kids reach their full adult height. When you grow, your cartilage grows too, it gets replaced by a bone with the help from calcium. (Nation Center for Families, 2010) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nowhere, they just continue to form more bones! We usually have 206 bones as teens and adults size but for babies they're born with 300, as they grow it forms bigger bones. After your 300 bones grow together, the extras will still fuse together. The human skeleton begins to develop 13 to 16 weeks after conception. The simple question to where your extra bones go is nowhere. (The Bulletin, N.D.) If you want a strong, big, and healthy bone, there is a drink called "Bone–Up" but it's expensive around 20–50 dollars! You don't have to spend much just to get bigger bones. You can eat healthy foods like fruits and vegetables. Kids height grow faster in between 11–12 years old. It stops growing at 14–15 years old. There is no one explanation for this poem, for the ideas can be seen from many different lenses. Against this huge, complex backdrop of a sweeping look at the entire world is the rather small 'I,' who is 'dumb to mouth'–– a speechless speaker." (par. 6). Thomas is subjected to this nature and by using the word 'dumb' it explains how he is unable to convey his insight. He later shares this same fate with a flower in line 5. By line 6, the focus changes from man and biological references to man and geological references and Thomas begins to introduce the power, or force, of water. "The memorable, water–like rush of sound creates a 'force' that beautifully mimics the brute power and frequently baffling tendencies of the natural phenomena the poem describes." (Kushner par. 22). And so, he explains that blood is pushed through man's veins just as the movement of water. However the contrast in color, from green to red shows a decline in freshness, youth and life and more comparison to darkness and death. It continues to be difficult for Thomas to communicate with his own body. When Kushner says that, "Thomas...is not just a poet of thick sounds, with like letters piled one on top of the other. Natural instances are prominent in Hardy's "The Darkling Thrush" and Thomas's "The Force That Through the Green Fuse Drives the Flower". Hardy reminisces over the past while witnessing a changing society while Thomas reminisces over the certain destruction of his youth and vitality, even with different concerns both authors' problems are due to passing time. Both poems have a certain contrast when explaining their theme but both are aware of the idea of death being a natural occurrence that awaits all of us. The two author's similarities are highlighted by a look at form, tone, words, and continuous use of nature to depict theme. In "The Darkling Thrush" the speaker ponders how slow death surrounds him, and how life is diminishing with almost no reason to live in a new era full of dullness. The speaker shows intense reflection over his thoughts and works through his ideas. When the speaker hears a beautiful song coming from a dying bird, his dark realistic perspective of living changes as he sees that the birds last breaths were spent singing a song. He continues to be realistic over the topic of death and not overthink the "full – hearted evensong" (Hardy 615), but the bird gives him a chance to think about something more hopeful in this bleak world. Such as the Vietnam War or the wars in the middle east which saw mixed to negative reactions from the public. While World War One was seen with much excitement and a time of patriotism in countries such as France and Germany. This begs the question of what causes a society to become excited and euphoric over an event that caused millions to perish. While some such as the middle and higher class were euphoric and excited for war, the reality set in for the lower class who knew that this war would result in death and destruction for Europe. While some images showed that the public was in a type of war fever, it didn't show the reality of those watching their loved ones leave for a war that, while some thought would be quick and decisive, ended in over four years of fighting and 50 million dead. All supergiants are extremely luminous; being at least over 30,000 the luminosity of the sun. There are two main types of supergiants, the red and blue supergiants. Blue supergiants usually form from mains sequence stars ranging from 10– 40 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They are larger and cooler with temps ranging from 3,500– 4,500K. When fusion of helium is rapid, the star expands. When fusion is slow, the star may condense and form a blue supergiant. There is a lot of different forms of nucleosynthesis present in supergiant and larger stars called hypergiants. Intense heat and compression of atoms, specifically helium atoms, allow for the fusion of heavier elements. After these large stars begin helium fusion, higher core temperatures can lead to the creation of Carbon–12. This process, called the triple–alpha process begins with two helium atoms fusing to form a Beryllium–8 isotope. This isotope is reactive, but if helium atom were to strike it and fuse before its half life, a stable carbon atom is formed. This carbon atom can be used in the CNO cycle, but also builds up in a inert core of carbon. As the inert core builds in mass, it reaches a point where it compresses until it reaches a high temperature, initiating the burning of the core. Two carbon atoms can fuse creating an inert neon core and more helium to fuse in the helium core or create new elements. Alternatively, two carbon atoms can fuse to create an inert oxygen ... • 31. Analytical Review of Cutting the Fuse This quote by Pat Robertson works as a great illustration for how our nation reacted to the suicide attacks carried out by Al–Qaeda on United States soil. The initial reaction by political pundits and politicians alike was that the only cause of these attacks was due to a radical Islamic view on the world. However, in Robert A. Pape and James K. Feldman's book Cutting the Fuse they try to analyze data on suicide bombing and try to determine what is the root cause of these violent acts. Their conclusions are the exact opposite of the rhetoric that was presented to the American public. Instead of blaming Islamic extremists, they instead come to the conclusion, "that military occupation is the main factor driving suicide terrorism" (Pape & Feldman 10). Furthermore, they also put forth the argument that our current military strategies involving military occupation are counter–productive because rather than deterring violence, it actually increases suicide–bombings committed against American forces. In this paper I will examine the conclusions Robert Pape and James Feldman have come to and will also analyze these conclusions in Cutting the Fuse with a belief that this text works to refute much of what the American public has been told. However, before we can begin to analyze the judgements that are presented within the text I must first defend my position as to why I believe Cutting the Fuse is an excellent book. • 32. Battle Of Elsenborn Ridge Essay The Battle of Elsenborn Ridge was a definitive, but effortful, victory of the Battle of the Bulge. On the 16th of December 1944, the Battle of the Bulge officially commenced on Belgian grounds (Cole 331). Among its many, devastating battles, the Battle of Elsenborn Ridge remains the most compelling, due to the unwavering resilience of American forces. American artillery in this battle arose with relative force, effectively withstanding and deflecting German forces. Victory, in the Battle of the Bulge, eluded American forces until the fateful Battle of Elsenborn Ridge. This was due, primarily, to the adaptive repurposing of existing weaponry, and other timely innovations. The Americans established a rigid defensive line at Elsenborn Ridge, a portion of Belgian territory, which became the fortuitous target of German attacks on the Roderhohe and Kodenhovel. The Germans were pristinely equipped in this war and content in their capacity to expel American forces. However, their hopes were tarnished as American artillery erected a formidable defense on their attacks. The American military mounted a heap of Pozit fuze shells, proximity fuses, and artillery adapted to diffuse the German forces (Cole 361). These attacks proved highly destructive amid the sight of countless German and American casualties. Hence, German ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The dichotomy between contact fuses and the timely use of proximity fuses was a celebratory advancement in military weaponry at this time. This, combined with the foresight of forward observers, as well as fire artillery, proved exceedingly beneficial in this battle. Both sides were stricken with misery amid the frigid temperatures, and weather conditions obscured visibility to an enormous degree. In spite of this, the US proved ... • 33. Advantages And Components Of A New To Hydro One Pad mount distribution stations are relatively new to Hydro One so that there are only four stations of this kind in existence to date with the first design implemented in 2010 at Holland DS. This type of station is normally used where a safe, reliable, and aesthetically appealing design with smaller footprint is needed. Pad mount DS operates on distribution systems, up to 44kV and 10MVA. Most of the electrical components are pad mounted and are usually known as "dead front" equipment. The Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) defines dead front as electrical equipment "without live parts exposed to a person on the operating side of the equipment". Normally this supply is first connected to the MUS pole for MUS connection and then to the HV switch & fuse structure via overhead conductors. There are three mid–span openers installed in between the MUS pole and the HV Switch &fuse structure for station isolation, when MUS is connected. Additionally, power distribution throughout the station is carried out by direct buried, underground cables connecting every electrical component, having concrete vaults under LV load break interrupter, reclosers, and station service transformer. The LV cables are connected to equipment bushings via dead–break elbow connectors, which require to be disconnected only when not under load. Furthermore, it is important to mention that the Puffer Pak ® is a dead front pad mount load break disconnect switch used to distribute power from the three–phase transformer to each of the reclosers and SST. Depending on the design requirements, the Puffer Pak ® can have 5 or 6 switched ways.
