15. Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery
(GFDRR -World Bank), supports disaster risk management projects worldwide.
Across East Asia and Pacific in FY17 leveraged $2.8 billion in development
finance across the region.
East Asia Pacific is the most disaster-stricken region in the world. More than
1.6 billion people in the region were affected by disasters between 2000 and 2011.
Many of the areas worst hit are urban centers. Between 1980 and 2012, the
number of people living in cities in East Asia and the Pacific increased by
over one billion, more than all other regions combined. Another billion are
expected to move to these cities by 2040. Poorly planned development and
increasing concentration of people and assets in urban centers creates
disaster hot spots.
Without action, multi-billion dollar disasters could become increasingly common.
To address this trend, there is an urgent need to invest in risk analysis to
inform urban planning and development. Investments are also needed for
better hazard forecasting, information systems, and emergency response.
More needs to be done to better understand the fiscal impact of disasters, and how
to guide recovery planning in a way to build back communities that are safer and
stronger.

25. The first step to be be an active participant in leveraging
that opportunity for Earth regeneration. Being prepared
will greatly improve recovery from disaster: minimising the
causes of harm to the community - health risks, toxins,
food and water supply maintenance, community activity
groups for local responses in crisis, maintenance of vital
services, health education and treatment access.

OurEarth can help by training the trainers.
● Holding forums locally and online to share
intelligence and build plans
● Can take teaching into Indonesia.
● Can support with video trainings.
28. Statement of Purpose for OurEarth Online Ltd
OurEarth Online Ltd Is an ASIC registered corporation established in November 2015 by a collective of entrepreneurs, visionaries, business people,
professionals and government reps to develop a practical plan for Global Earth Repair. The plan is to connect issues, solution providers and funding
capacity into a leader board of earth repair engagements for the planet.
Vision
● Inspire a global movement to repair, restore and live sustainably upon our planet. Develop an Earth repair summit by 2020, with ongoing network activity.
● Empower the Military to Repurpose resources towards regenerative Earth Works for a healthy biosphere
Mission: We are networking to build Community Resilience and Earth Repair Solutions Our aim is to Inspire and activate people worldwide to make real changes in how
we create and manage a more sustainable planet.
∙ Influence governments, organisations, companies and social groups to recognise and harness our Collective Power for rapid positive change
∙ Act as consultant to connect solution providers to issues.
∙ Redirect military spending, to actively prevent environmental causes of conflict. Address the big* issues collectively
∙ Bring compassion and common sense into the wise governance of this planet
Objectives:
1. Establish a Hub for Learning & Sharing Resilience Solutions
OurEarth intends to showcase Byron’s capacity to be Hub of Resilience & Regenerative solutions. To build on the strengths and potentials of our community, we envision
a Collaborative Research Centre and Educational Hub to promote Earth Repair & Resilience oriented curriculums and trainings for the Pacific Region.
2. Develop local solutions e.g. Bryon Water Protectors. Mapping and identifying key issues of water quality in Byron Shire with collective of volunteers.
3. Develop Creative Media Platform for Resilience Awareness & Training
We are setting up a dynamic network linking and connecting agencies that are capable of addressing core Earth Repair issues:
We will encourage young people to seek out areas of concern, develop the skills to effect Earth Repair, and feed this back into an intelligent database as a key initiative to
raise awareness through communication, education and skills training.
4. Build Momentum For A Global Earth Repair Summit 2020
Over the next three years we will showcase innovative technologies and host events leading up to the Earth Day 2020 Summit. We will bring together the Issues, solution
providers, and resources to enable management and leadership in implementing Global Earth Repair. This is then ongoing for foreseeable future.
The 2020 Summit celebrates the restoration of the earth and the remediation of our collective spirit, channeling the aspirations of our elders and the hopes of our future
generations, so that humanity may thrive sustainably in harmony with the earth.
5. Empowering The Military to support Earth Repair
The goal is to redirect at least 10% of all annual military budgets and activities to fund regenerative earth works for a healthy biosphere. We are effectively envisioning a
“Marshall Plan For The Planet” by creating a dynamic network linking agencies that are capable of addressing core Earth Repair issues with the means to implement and
monitor.
