High dynamic range (HDR) photography allows a picture to capture a wide range of brightness levels found in real-world scenes, from very dark shadows to very bright highlights, similar to how the human eye perceives a scene. HDR pictures can represent more detail in both the shadows and highlights than traditional digital or film photography by combining multiple differently exposed versions of the same subject. Each HDR image captures its own unique story through the enhanced tonal range compared to standard pictures.
