Jesus Christ is the light of the World…
• Divine energy, power, or influence that proceeds from God through
Christ and gives life and light to all things. It is the law by which all
things are governed in heaven and on earth (D&C 88:6–13). It also
helps people understand gospel truths and helps to put them on that
gospel path which leads to salvation (John 3:19–21; 12:46; Alma
26:15;32:35; D&C 93:28–29, 31–32, 40, 42).
The Light of Christ
• The light of Christ should not be confused with the Holy Ghost. The
light of Christ is not a person. It is an influence that comes from God
and prepares a person to receive the Holy Ghost. It is an influence for
good in the lives of all people (John 1:9; D&C 84:46–47).
• One manifestation of the light of Christ is conscience, which helps a
person choose between right and wrong (Moro. 7:16). As people
learn more about the gospel, their consciences become more
sensitive (Moro. 7:12–19). People who hearken to the light of Christ
are led to the gospel of Jesus Christ (D&C 84:46–48).
• This light manifests itself in different
ways and degrees. In its less refined
existence, wrote Parley P. Pratt, it is
visible as sunlight. It is also the
“refined intellectual light of our
inward and spiritual organs, by which
we reason, discern, judge, compare
and comprehend, and remember the
subjects within our reach.” It is
revealed as instinct in animals, reason
in man, and vision in prophets.

Light
Light, or visible light, is electromagnetic radiation of a wavelength that is
visible to the human eye (about 400–700 nm), or up to 380–750 nm.[1] In
the broader field of physics, light is sometimes used to refer to
electromagnetic radiation of all wavelengths, whether visible or not.
Three primary properties of light are:
Intensity
Frequency or wavelength
Polarization
Light can exhibit properties of both waves and particles (photons). This
property is referred to as wave–particle duality.

Electromagnetic radiation
• Electromagnetic radiation (sometimes abbreviated EMR) takes the
form of self-propagating waves in a vacuum or in matter. EM radiation
has an electric and magnetic field component which oscillate in phase
perpendicular to each other and to the direction of energy
propagation.
Electromagnetic radiation
• Electromagnetic radiation is classified into types according to the
frequency of the wave; these types include (in order of increasing
frequency): radio waves, microwaves, terahertz radiation, infrared
radiation, visible light, ultraviolet radiation, X-rays and gamma rays. Of
these, radio waves have the longest wavelengths and Gamma rays
have the shortest. A small window of frequencies, called visible
spectrum or light, is sensed by the eye of various organisms, with
variations on the limits of this narrow spectrum.
Electromagnetic radiation
• EM radiation carries energy and momentum that may be imparted to
matter with which it interacts.
This is the light of Christ
• 6 He that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things,
in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through
all things, the light of truth;
• 7 Which truth shineth. This is the light of Christ. As also he is in the
sun, and the light of the sun, and the power thereof by which it was
made.
• 8 As also he is in the moon, and is the light of the moon, and the power
thereof by which it was made;
• 9 As also the light of the stars, and the power thereof by which they
were made;
• 10 And the earth also, and the power thereof, even the earth upon
which you stand.
The Sun
 The sun of our solar system is powered by the Son. It
is difficult for us to comprehend the amount of heat,
energy, and light that emanate from this one celestial
orb. Science tells us that the temperature at the surface
of the sun is 5800 degrees Kelvin, while the core of the
sun measures 15,600,000 degrees Kelvin.
 "The Sun's energy output (3.86e33 ergs/second or 386
billion billion megawatts) is produced by nuclear fusion
reactions. Each second about 700,000,000 tons of hydrogen
are converted to about 695,000,000 tons of helium and
5,000,000 tons (=3.86e33 ergs) of energy in the form of

Sun is like a giant nuclear engine. It gives off more energy
in a single second than mankind has produced since the
Creation. It converts 8 million tons of matter into energy
every single second, and has an interior temperature of
more than 20 million degrees Celsius (see Lawton, 1981
Teleological Argument
Sun and Moon …earth orbit varies 1/9th of an inch every 18
miles…
 The Earth is rotating on its axis at 1,000
miles per hour at the equator, and moving
around the Sun at 70,000 miles per hour
(approximately 19 miles per second),
while the Sun and its solar system are
moving through space at 600,000 miles
per hour in an orbit so large it would take
over 220 million years just to complete a
single orbit. Interestingly, however, as the
Earth moves in its orbit around the Sun, it
departs from a straight line by only one-
ninth of an inch every eighteen miles. If it
departed by one-eighth of an inch, we
would come so close to the Sun that we
would be incinerated; if it departed by
one-tenth of an inch, we would find
ourselves so far from the Sun that we
would all freeze to death

Pure Energy
• Scientific experiments in Quantum Physics and particularly those at
the European Organization for Nuclear Research — CERN — at the
Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Geneva, Switzerland, continue to
demonstrate that once we break everything down to its core, pure
energy is behind everything. When we go down to the sub-atomic
level we do not find matter, but pure energy. Some call this the
unified field or the matrix. Others talk about pure potentiality: all
being energy.

Viberating Field
• This pure energy vibrates a field around it. A vibrating field of energy,
which attracts — like a magnet — and attaches to energy of the same
vibrating frequency. The more vibrating energy that is compressed
into this field of energy, the more intense the vibration gets within
that field. Eventually the energy field manifests into matter: particle-
by-particle. As the father of Quantum Physics, Max Planck, once said,
“All the physical matters are composed of vibration.”

• Every object in the Universe moves and vibrates — everything is
vibrating at one speed or another. Nothing rests. Everything we see
around ourselves is vibrating at one frequency or another and so are
we. However, our frequency is different from other entities in the
universe, hence it seems like we are separated from what we see
around ourselves — people, animals, plants, trees and so on. But we
are not separated — we are in fact all living in a continuous ocean of
energy. We are all connected at the highest level: the unified field.

• At the very leading edge of biophysics today, scientists are
recognizing that the molecules in our bodies are actually controlled
by these frequencies. In 1974, Dr Colin W F McClare, an Oxford
University Bio-Physicist, discovered that frequencies of vibrating
• energy are roughly one-hundred times more efficient in relaying
information within a biological system than physical signals, such as
hormones, neurotransmitters, other growth factors and chemicals.
• What’s most interesting is that, if a frequency is vibrating fast enough,
it’s emitted as a Sound and if it is vibrating much faster, it is emitted
as a colour of Light. If we wanted to convert Sound to Light, we
would simply raise its frequency by forty octaves. This results in a
vibration in the trillions of cycles per second.
• So, if a pianist could press a key way above the eighty-eight keys that
exist on a piano, that key would produce Light. This could create a
chord of Light in the same way they can create a chord of sound. And
it would be seen as colours of Light because it would be moving at the

Enlightenment. It was created by a friend of mine, the Danish artist
Johan Benthin, who was the first stake president in Copenhagen,
Denmark.

is shining. It is interesting to me that the light coming through the
door does not illuminate the entire room—only the space
immediately in front of the door.

 In the 12th century, Leonardo Fibonacci discovered a simple numerical series
that is the foundation for an incredible mathematical relationship behind phi.
 Starting with 0 and 1, each new number in the series is simply the sum of the
two before it.
 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, . . .
 The ratio of each successive pair of numbers in the series approximates phi
(1.618. . .) , as 5 divided by 3 is 1.666..., and 8 divided by 5 is 1.60.

 If a simple rectangle is formed so that the short side has the
same proportional relationship to the long side as the long
side does to both sides put together, it has a precise
mathematical ratio of 1.618.

 The relationship of those two segments to one another was
known anciently as the golden segment, and is referred to
in literature as the "divine proportion," for it embodies
qualities of both precision and beauty.

 It is an infinite proportional relationship, which continues
forever, much as the mirrors in the sealing room of the
temple form a corridor of diminishing images which goes
out of sight and on into infinity.
Spirals
 The logarithmic spiral is found every where
in nature. It appears in seashells. It allows
the horns of animals to grow, each horn
spiraling in an opposite direction. It appears
in the arrangement of seeds in flowers, in
the arrangement of limbs on trees, in their
height from one another, and in the way
they are arranged on the stem at just the
right angle to catch the most light. Spirals of
one kind or another are found from the
smallest virus to the largest galaxy. Where
living things must change size and maintain
shape the logarithmic spiral appears.
 Scribe an arc through the
square formed inside the
rectangle, continue it in the
next smaller one and the next
and you form a spiral, a
logarithmic spiral with
precise mathematical
proportions of the golden
segment and quite
remarkable properties. The
logarithmic spiral is found
everywhere in nature.
 It appears in sea shells. It
allows the horns of animals to
grow, each horn spiraling in an

law right under our feet.

 The examples are everywhere,
some as small as the double
helix of DNA, others as large
as the orbits of celestial
bodies.

Fractals
■ Many objects in nature aren’t formed of squares or
triangles, but of more complicated geometric figures. Trees,
ferns, clouds, and mountains are shaped like fractals. Other
examples include snowflakes, crystals, lightning, river
networks, cauliflower or broccoli, and systems of blood
vessels and pulmonary vessels. Coastlines may also be
■ considered as fractals in nature. As fractals are self-similar
patterns that reveal greater complexity as it is enlarged, they
portray the notion of within worlds. Trees and ferns are
fractals in nature. They can be modeled on a computer by
using a recursive algorithm:

■ The power of recursion evidently lies in the possibility of
defining an infinite set of objects by a finite statement. In
the same manner, an infinite number of computations can
be described by a finite recursive program, even if this
program contains no explicit repetitions."

Fractals
■ Standard examples of single recursion include list traversal,
such as in a linear search, or computing the factorial
function, while standard examples of multiple recursion
include tree traversal, such as in a depth-first search, or
computing the Fibonacci sequence. This recursive nature is
obvious in these examples—a branch from a tree or a frond
from a fern is a miniature replica of the whole: not
identical, but similar in nature. The connection between
fractals and leaves are currently being used to determine
how much carbon is contained in trees. 56
1. How the human heart functions
• Every day, your heart beats about 100,000 times, sending 2,000
gallons of blood surging through your body. Although it’s no bigger
than your fist, your heart has the mighty job of keeping blood
flowing through the 60,000 miles of blood vessels that feed your
organs and tissues. Any damage to the heart or its valves can reduce
that pumping power, forcing the heart to work harder just to keep
up with the body’s demand for blood.
2. Laughter: The good heart medicine
• Health experts now have proof that laughter is good medicine.
• A good belly laugh can send 20% more blood flowing through your entire
body. One study found that when people watched a funny movie, their
blood flow increased. That’s why laughter might just be the perfect
antidote to stress.
• When you laugh, the lining of your blood vessel walls relaxes and expands,
Krasuski says. So have a good giggle. Your heart will thank you.
The prominent parts of an electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) are the P wave, a deflection caused by
the current originating in the atrium; the QRS complex, showing the passage of the electrical
activity into the ventricles; and the T wave, as the ventricles reset themselves. The
electrocardiograms (ECG or EKG) of human heartbeats vary considerably depending on a variety of
factors.
The Witnessing of Nature
• Cecil B. DeMille Shared this experience:
• One day as I was lying in a canoe, a big black beetle
...climbed up to the canoe. I watched it idly for
some time. Under the heat of the sun, the beetle
proceeded to die. Then a strange thing happened .
His glistening black shell cracked all the way down
the back. Out of it came a shapeless mass, quickly
transformed into beautifully brilliantly colored
life...There gradually unfolded iridescent wings
from which the sunlight flashed a thousand
colors... the blue green body took shape.
• Before my eyes had occurred a metamorphosis – the
transformation of a hideous beetle into a gorgeous dragon fly... I
had witnessed a miracle. Out of the mud had come a beautiful
new life. And the thought came to me that if the creator works
such wonders with the lowliest of creatures, what may not be in
store for the human spirit.!
• My Testimony today is that through Jesus Christ we can be born
again. We can change. We can change completely. And we can stay
changed. Such complete changes require the power of God. He
gives this promise to his covenant people:
• A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within
you ....and cause you to walk in my statutes....(Ezek. 36:26-27)--

Photoluminescence
• …by definition is the emission of
light from a molecule or atom
that has absorbed
electromagnetic energy:
examples include fluorescence
and phosphorescence materials.
Photoluminescence
• …is a process in which a substance absorbs photons (electromagnetic
radiation) and then re-radiates photons. Quantum mechanically, this
can be described as an excitation to a higher energy state and then a
return to a lower energy state accompanied by the emission of a
photon. This is one of many forms of luminescence (light emission)
and is distinguished by photoexcitation (excitation by photons), hence
the prefix photo-.[1]

Jesus christ is the light and hope

  • 5. Jesus Christ is the light of the World… • Divine energy, power, or influence that proceeds from God through Christ and gives life and light to all things. It is the law by which all things are governed in heaven and on earth (D&C 88:6–13). It also helps people understand gospel truths and helps to put them on that gospel path which leads to salvation (John 3:19–21; 12:46; Alma 26:15;32:35; D&C 93:28–29, 31–32, 40, 42).
  • 6. The Light of Christ • The light of Christ should not be confused with the Holy Ghost. The light of Christ is not a person. It is an influence that comes from God and prepares a person to receive the Holy Ghost. It is an influence for good in the lives of all people (John 1:9; D&C 84:46–47). • One manifestation of the light of Christ is conscience, which helps a person choose between right and wrong (Moro. 7:16). As people learn more about the gospel, their consciences become more sensitive (Moro. 7:12–19). People who hearken to the light of Christ are led to the gospel of Jesus Christ (D&C 84:46–48).
  • 7. • This light manifests itself in different ways and degrees. In its less refined existence, wrote Parley P. Pratt, it is visible as sunlight. It is also the “refined intellectual light of our inward and spiritual organs, by which we reason, discern, judge, compare and comprehend, and remember the subjects within our reach.” It is revealed as instinct in animals, reason in man, and vision in prophets. • (Key to the Science of Theology, Parley P. Light Light, or visible light, is electromagnetic radiation of a wavelength that is visible to the human eye (about 400–700 nm), or up to 380–750 nm.[1] In the broader field of physics, light is sometimes used to refer to electromagnetic radiation of all wavelengths, whether visible or not. Three primary properties of light are: Intensity Frequency or wavelength Polarization Light can exhibit properties of both waves and particles (photons). This property is referred to as wave–particle duality.

  • 10. Electromagnetic radiation • Electromagnetic radiation (sometimes abbreviated EMR) takes the form of self-propagating waves in a vacuum or in matter. EM radiation has an electric and magnetic field component which oscillate in phase perpendicular to each other and to the direction of energy propagation.

Electromagnetic radiation • Electromagnetic radiation is classified into types according to the frequency of the wave; these types include (in order of increasing frequency): radio waves, microwaves, terahertz radiation, infrared radiation, visible light, ultraviolet radiation, X-rays and gamma rays. Of these, radio waves have the longest wavelengths and Gamma rays have the shortest. A small window of frequencies, called visible spectrum or light, is sensed by the eye of various organisms, with variations on the limits of this narrow spectrum.
  • 12. Electromagnetic radiation • EM radiation carries energy and momentum that may be imparted to matter with which it interacts.

This is the light of Christ • 6 He that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things, in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through all things, the light of truth; • 7 Which truth shineth.   • 16. The Sun  The sun of our solar system is powered by the Son. It is difficult for us to comprehend the amount of heat, energy, and light that emanate from this one celestial orb. Science tells us that the temperature at the surface of the sun is 5800 degrees Kelvin, while the core of the sun measures 15,600,000 degrees Kelvin.

Teleological Argument Sun and Moon …earth orbit varies 1/9th of an inch every 18 miles…  The Earth is rotating on its axis at 1,000 miles per hour at the equator, and moving around the Sun at 70,000 miles per hour (approximately 19 miles per second), while the Sun and its solar system are moving through space at 600,000 miles per hour in an orbit so large it would take over 220 million years just to complete a single orbit. Interestingly, however, as the Earth moves in its orbit around the Sun, it departs from a straight line by only one- ninth of an inch every eighteen miles. If it departed by one-eighth of an inch, we would come so close to the Sun that we would be incinerated; if it departed by one-tenth of an inch, we would find ourselves so far from the Sun that we would all freeze to death  (Science Digest, 1981, 89[1]:124).

  • 21. Pure Energy • Scientific experiments in Quantum Physics and particularly those at the European Organization for Nuclear Research — CERN — at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Geneva, Switzerland, continue to demonstrate that once we break everything down to its core, pure energy is behind everything. When we go down to the sub-atomic level we do not find matter, but pure energy. Some call this the unified field or the matrix. Others talk about pure potentiality: all being energy.

  • 23. Viberating Field • This pure energy vibrates a field around it. A vibrating field of energy, which attracts — like a magnet — and attaches to energy of the same vibrating frequency. The more vibrating energy that is compressed into this field of energy, the more intense the vibration gets within that field. Eventually the energy field manifests into matter: particle- by-particle. As the father of Quantum Physics, Max Planck, once said, “All the physical matters are composed of vibration.”

  • 25. • Every object in the Universe moves and vibrates — everything is vibrating at one speed or another. Nothing rests. Everything we see around ourselves is vibrating at one frequency or another and so are we. However, our frequency is different from other entities in the universe, hence it seems like we are separated from what we see around ourselves — people, animals, plants, trees and so on. But we are not separated — we are in fact all living in a continuous ocean of energy. We are all connected at the highest level: the unified field.

  • 27. • At the very leading edge of biophysics today, scientists are recognizing that the molecules in our bodies are actually controlled by these frequencies. In 1974, Dr Colin W F McClare, an Oxford University Bio-Physicist, discovered that frequencies of vibrating • energy are roughly one-hundred times more efficient in relaying information within a biological system than physical signals, such as hormones, neurotransmitters, other growth factors and chemicals.
  • 28. • What’s most interesting is that, if a frequency is vibrating fast enough, it’s emitted as a Sound and if it is vibrating much faster, it is emitted as a colour of Light. If we wanted to convert Sound to Light, we would simply raise its frequency by forty octaves. This results in a vibration in the trillions of cycles per second. • So, if a pianist could press a key way above the eighty-eight keys that exist on a piano, that key would produce Light. This could create a chord of Light in the same way they can create a chord of sound. And it would be seen as colours of Light because it would be moving at the

  • 54. Fractals ■ Many objects in nature aren’t formed of squares or triangles, but of more complicated geometric figures. Trees, ferns, clouds, and mountains are shaped like fractals. Other examples include snowflakes, crystals, lightning, river networks, cauliflower or broccoli, and systems of blood vessels and pulmonary vessels. Coastlines may also be ■ considered as fractals in nature. As fractals are self-similar patterns that reveal greater complexity as it is enlarged, they portray the notion of within worlds. Trees and ferns are fractals in nature. They can be modeled on a computer by using a recursive algorithm: 54
  • 55. ■ The power of recursion evidently lies in the possibility of defining an infinite set of objects by a finite statement. In the same manner, an infinite number of computations can be described by a finite recursive program, even if this program contains no explicit repetitions." 55

Fractals ■ Standard examples of single recursion include list traversal, such as in a linear search, or computing the factorial function, while standard examples of multiple recursion include tree traversal, such as in a depth-first search, or computing the Fibonacci sequence. This recursive nature is obvious in these examples—a branch from a tree or a frond from a fern is a miniature replica of the whole: not identical, but similar in nature. The connection between fractals and leaves are currently being used to determine how much carbon is contained in trees. 56
