Executive Summary and Opportunity Analysis
Electrify is a sports adventure point on the outskirts of hills in karjat. It is a place
where people from the city who does not get time from their busy schedule come

by many hills and also many water parks, amusement parks and resorts. In short it
is a booming tourist place with many well-known places like Matheran, lonavala,
nearby which provide peoples from Mumbai a cool and calm environment to live
with their families.
Many of the resorts, water parks and hills stations provide people from Mumbai,
Pune and nearby cities a great Adventure but they abstain from giving them the
original taste of adventure which means
 They do not provide bungee jumping from mountains.
 They do not provide Para gliding.
 They also do not provide people camping sites in forests.
 Some of the competitors do provide valley crossing but for a little distance
as 2500 meters but not more than that.
 They do not provide sky diving.
 In rainy season they do not provide 21 different waterfalls in same area.
 They do not provide mountain climbing or trecking
“Electrify” is set to provide them the original taste of adventure in INDIA itself.
Many people go to foreign countries to feel real adventure and waste lots of
Dollars and pounds. “Electrify” itself have come to the rescue to provide them the
same adventure at cost effective price and that to in their home country. While
making a small city like karjat a tourist attraction.

Market size and future projections: The tourism industry of India is economically
important and grows rapidly. The World Travel & Tourism Council calculated that

to grow at an average annual rate of 7.9% from 2013 to 2023. This gives India the
third rank among countries with the fastest growing tourism industries over the
next decade. According to provisional statistics 6.29 million foreign tourists arrived
in India in 2011, an increase of 8.9% from 5.78 million in 2010. This ranks India
as the 38th country in the world in terms of foreign tourist arrivals. Domestic

The government is still trying to reduce entertainment tax from 15 % to 7.5 percent
Under the Bombay Entertainments Duty Act 1923. But currently the tax is 15 %
but adventure parks can enjoy full exemption from the tax till 3 years after that

no adventure parks providing camping, valley crossing, bungee jumping,
para gliding, water falls in rainy season at the same time.
 Bargaining power of Buyers : Will be low as the government have set
entertainment tax on this industry and the tickets rates will be with respect to
the tax slab allotted.
 Threats of substitutes: will be Moderate as the “all under one roof”
adventure rides is a one of a kind concept and to imitate this the competitors
has to go through a lot of legal hurdles and also has many licences involved
with lot of money to maintain this type of adventure rides.
 Bargaining power of supplier : Is moderate as the technology to maintain
this rides and to have train people to maintain this rides are not that high.

  • 2. 2 | P a g e Marketing plan Product launch – Set up of “Adventure- cum outdoor sports Park on the hills of Karjat”. Brand : “Electrify” Executive Summary and Opportunity Analysis Electrify is a sports adventure point on the outskirts of hills in karjat. It is a place where people from the city who does not get time from their busy schedule come to get a taste of Adventure in the green hills of karjat. Karjat is a place surrounded by many hills and also many water parks, amusement parks and resorts. In short it is a booming tourist place with many well-known places like Matheran, lonavala, nearby which provide peoples from Mumbai a cool and calm environment to live with their families. Many of the resorts, water parks and hills stations provide people from Mumbai, Pune and nearby cities a great Adventure but they abstain from giving them the original taste of adventure which means  They do not provide bungee jumping from mountains.  They do not provide Para gliding.  They also do not provide people camping sites in forests.  Some of the competitors do provide valley crossing but for a little distance as 2500 meters but not more than that.  They do not provide sky diving.  In rainy season they do not provide 21 different waterfalls in same area.  They do not provide mountain climbing or trecking “Electrify” is set to provide them the original taste of adventure in INDIA itself. Many people go to foreign countries to feel real adventure and waste lots of Dollars and pounds. “Electrify” itself have come to the rescue to provide them the same adventure at cost effective price and that to in their home country. While making a small city like karjat a tourist attraction.
  • 3. 3 | P a g e Situational analysis Market size and future projections: The tourism industry of India is economically important and grows rapidly. The World Travel & Tourism Council calculated that tourism generated INR6.4 trillion or 6.6% of the nation's GDP in 2012. It supported 39.5 million jobs, 7.7% of its total employment. The sector is predicted to grow at an average annual rate of 7.9% from 2013 to 2023. This gives India the third rank among countries with the fastest growing tourism industries over the next decade. According to provisional statistics 6.29 million foreign tourists arrived in India in 2011, an increase of 8.9% from 5.78 million in 2010. This ranks India as the 38th country in the world in terms of foreign tourist arrivals. Domestic tourist visits to all states and Union Territories numbered 1,036.35 million in 2012, an increase of 16.5% from 2011. • 7. 7 | P a g e Economic : In India, the population and per capita income of individuals are increasing. With rising urbanization, growing industrial and business development and increasing standard of living in cities, the citizens are now ready to pay a premium for Amusements all around. The government is still trying to reduce entertainment tax from 15 % to 7.5 percent Under the Bombay Entertainments Duty Act 1923. But currently the tax is 15 % but adventure parks can enjoy full exemption from the tax till 3 years after that from the date of commencement and only 50 per cent duty will be levied for the subsequent two years. Full entertainment duty will be recovered from sixth year onwards. Social : With one of the fastest growing economies in the world, clocked at a growth rate of 8.3% in 2010, INDIA is fast on its way to becoming a large and globally important consumer economy. The indian middle class was estimated to be 250 million people in 2007, by MCkinsey & company it will reach 600 millions by 2030. The purchasing power parity will significantly increase from 4.7 to 6.1 percent of the world share by 2015. So here as the people are getting richer day by day they will spend much more on entertaining themselves Technological : As technology is increasing rapidly as well as internet so the marketing and awareness about the services would be easily done.
