The Third Teacher Team Meeting 3
Meeting 3: 06-08-14
Meeting Objectives:
• Established our values/mission statement
• Created a 3TP pro-forma for expressions of
interest that will allow the team to support
teachers/learning areas to reimagine learning
spaces
• Begin to unpack as a team the process (who and
what will it involve) of calling upon expressions of
interest for our pilot projects
• Begin to consider the roles that we will each play
in supporting and documenting the projects

“How might we create engaging
learning spaces with all members of
the School community?”
What is our mission
statement and values
that the Third Teacher
Project stands for?
How do we look to support
staff expressions of interest
in developing the
environment for learning?
How will we celebrate and
share transformations to
learning spaces with the SPS
and wider community?
What kind of obstacles
and road blocks lie ahead
and how will we hope to
adapt, minimise and
overcome them?
How can we encourage
staff to co-create flexible,
humanised learning
spaces that support
teaching and learning?
How can we ensure that any
or all future developments
at SPS makes considerations
for the environment for
learning?
How will we ensure
students co-create
learning spaces with us,
whether at a classroom or
larger project level?

BIG QUESTION:
“How might we create engaging learning
spaces with all members of the School
community?”
Sub-questions:
• How will we ensure students co-create
learning spaces with us,
whether at a classroom or larger
project level?
• How do we look to support staff
expressions of interest in developing
the environment for learning?
• What will the process look like and
what steps will it involve?
• What kind of obstacles and road
blocks lie ahead and how will we
hope to adapt, minimise and
overcome them?
How will we work collaboratively as a team on
projects?

"What they like about their classroom?"
Classroom Reflections Prototype Part 1
"In what way does their classroom environment
disrupt learning and how could it be better designed?"
Classroom Reflections Prototype Part 2
Activity - While watching the videos:
•How would you categorise the key
considerations of the learning space?
•How would you go about putting the third
teacher principles into practice by developing
these considerations?
• (optional) Begin to formulate your own way of
processing information to support reimagining
the learning space.

Where do we go from here?
Members of the team focus on one of these
considerations and present back to the group
(<5 min) during the next meeting on how you
would address it, any useful research,
reflections, etc.
