Discuss testing results and learning intentions with students
Have students help write learning intentions for each maths learning area
Display learning intentions & review at each NUMP & strand session
Have students share learning intentions with parents
Encourage students to peer assess progress towards learning intentions
Use regular knowledge based assessment
Communicate learning intentions with parents so they become a focus for
support with maths homework
Teach students to ask questions of themselves & others and set goals for
learning specific areas of knowledge

Providing opportunities for students to complete knowledge assessments at
NUMP level
Regular knowledge tracking (IKAN termly)
Descriptive feedback - close to learning situation

to success or failure on a specific part of the task
