Extension of Time in Construction Contracts
Synopsis:
Thierry Linares is a Project Control Manager with TECHNIP and will share his experience on:
• The implications of extension of time for completion in contracts.
• Extensive discussion about the drivers and risks.
• Practical recommendations towards a proper evaluation and resolution to avoid dispute escalation
After the presentation a question and answer session will give the audience the opportunity to exchange
project management experience with other participants.

Project Control Manager, TECHNIP
Graduate from a French Business School, I have spent most of my professional
life on major oil and gas projects. I have a solid 10 years’ experience managing the
various components of project controls, both on Contractor and Client side,
projects and corporate positions.
I have been extensively involved in the set-up, management and development of
activities of the project control sphere: budget and cost control, planning, contracts
and subcontracts administration, risk management, invoicing, key performance
indicators analysis, variations and claims.
Project Controls Manager with a comprehensive working knowledge of cost,
scheduling, estimating, procurement, and contract management within the
construction project industry.
I am currently Project control manager for Technip on a multi-billion dollars
onshore project, but also a trainer in risk management.
I am a mediator and arbitrator, and an advisor on claims and disputes situations.
