2. 1. Analgesics or Over-The-Counter
Pain Relievers
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
suggests analgesics like ibuprofen and
acetaminophen to control pain associated
with AOM. They’re safe to use with or without
antibiotics, just be sure to follow dosing
instructions on the label.
3. 2. Cold or Warm Compresses
People often use ice packs or warm
compresses to relieve pain throughout the
body, and the same can be done for ear pain.
4. 3. Oil Drops in the Ear Canal
A folk remedy, there’s no hard scientific
evidence to prove that oil can soothe ear
pain. But putting a few warmed drops of oil
in the ear is safe and could be moderately
effective, says AAP.
5. 4. Chiropractic Treatment
If you go to the chiropractor for adjustments,
you could find that an appointment will
soothe your earache as much as your back
pain. One study found that 93 percent of
participants found improvement following
chiropractic adjustments, 43 percent of them
after only one or two treatments.
6. 5.Eardoc treatments
Eardoc treats an ear infection by naturally
opening the clogged Eustachian tubes,
allowing drainage of accumulated fluids in
the middle ear and providing natural ear pain
relief. Draining the fluids and air accumulated
in the middle will reduce the pain, take care
of the inflammation, and allow relief quickly
and effectively.
