4. Guest Engagement
The Room Attendant’s job is one of the most
important in every establishment. This is for
many reasons: 1. Being that many guests who
come to the establishment will use the bedroom
and 2. The Room Attendant is entrusted with the
guests’ safety and property.
We believe that it takes a special character and attitude to work effectively
in the housekeeping department. We will discuss with your team, the
qualities of a successful room attendant, from personal hygiene, to
presentation, to dealing with guests and guest property, dealing with
management and other staff… In most cases, for smaller establishments,
the housekeeping personnel is required to deal with the guest. We will
train your staff on how to communicate effectively and politely with
guests, including using polite hospitality language, body language and
being able to solve some complaints without calling the manager/ owner
who may not even be around!
