Bgla Enzyme Lab Report
Gene BglA was sub cloned in pET21a (+), recombinant vector transformed and propagated in E. coli
BL21 CodonPlus under the control of T7/lac promoter system. The positive bacterial transformants
were grown in LB ampicillin broth (100 µg mL−1) and induced with IPTG for the production of
recombinant BglA enzyme. Optimal heterologous expression and efficient folding of BglA protein
was observed with 0.5 mM IPTG, after 72 h incubation at 22°C. The use of reduced concentration of
IPTG for getting maximum gene expression, was proved an efficient method for the production of
active soluble enzyme. The protein was purified by applying two subsequent purification steps
employing ion exchange and hydrophobic interaction chromatography after heat treatment ... Show

BglA was remain active even in the existence of 600 mM glucose. However, BglA activity was
gradually repressed with the increase of glucose concentration, and Ki value for glucose was found to
be 1200 mM as shown in figure 4b. Organic solvents have proven an obvious constrain for the BglA
activity, enzyme was completely inactive by adding 40% (v/v) methanol, ethanol, n butanol and
isopropanol whereas, 40% (v/v) acetone, ethyl acetate and acetonitrile strongly repressed BglA
activity up to 18%, 38%, 50%, respectively.
3.6. Shelf life of recombinant BglA
Storage stability of BglA crude media supernatant, heat treated supernatant (at 70°C for an hour) and
purified enzyme was an important and crucial parameter for commercial utilization. BglA enzyme has
an exceptional storage stability, retaining 100% initial activity after the storage for one year at 4°C, in
all the three ways of storage (crude supernatant, heat treated and purified). Both crude heat treated and
purified BglA has retained 100% initial activity at room temperature (30 35°C) up to 240 days but
after 95 days the crude enzyme showed marginal decline

A chemical change is a change that alters the identity of a substance. A chemical change can be
identified by five things: change in mass, formation of a precipitate, release of heat and/or light, color
change, or giving off gas. Physical changes occurred in four out of the eight experiments completed in
this lab. The first was experiment one, the salt and water. The salt was added to water but when the
water evaporated the salt remained. The water changed to the vapor form of water and the salt did not
change. The second was experiment two, the candle. When the candle was lit the heat given off from
the fire melted the wax beneath it. Melting is a physical change because the liquid wax is still wax, its
usual form is just a solid. Experiment four dealt with ripping paper. This was a physical change
because, although the paper was being ripped apart, it was (and still is) paper. The smaller pieces did
not change the mass or any other factor of it except the surface area of each piece. Experiment seven
dealt with vinegar being added to milk. The vinegar did not change but the milk was curdled by the
vinegar. Although the milk was curdled, the milk remained milk. The composition stayed the same.
Each of these experiments showed no change in a substance so as it changed to another substance.
Chemical changes occurred in five out of the eight experiments completed in this lab. Although the
main focus of experiment two was

British Independence Research Paper
Imagine that your homeland, for which you feel nothing but the most overwhelming pride, has been
occupied by a neighboring power for the past 750 years, and that they have continually degraded your
indigenous culture, and at times committed acts which bordered on genocide. I m willing to bet you
would not stop short of bloodshed to remove the invasive neighbor. Now imagine that after you ve
fought, and bled, and killed, and died to establish an independent republic in your homeland, you send
a delegation including one of your greatest leaders to the enemy s capital to negotiate for
independence, and the delegation comes back with a treaty which provides that the enemy will keep

In order to achieve this end, they resorted to low intensity asymmetrical warfare, utilizing guerrilla
tactics that the British Army was wholly ill equipped to counter. By 1921, in fact, the British had
realized that it was politically impossible for them to win the war. Victory, for the British, would have
required an even more heavy handed implementation of martial law than what they had already
implemented, which undoubtedly would have been noticed on the other side of the Atlantic. The
United Kingdom needed the support of the United States for various vital strategic agendas in Asia
and the Pacific. But the Irish cause already had immense support among the American population,
such that Éamon de Valera had already raised $5.5 million from American supporters of the Irish
cause. The American people were very unlikely to be happy if the British resorted to such tactics,
which would have derailed the possibility of American support for the United Kingdom s agendas in
the Far East. Upon making this realization, the Government of Prime Minister David Lloyd George
offered a truce to some very confused Irish

French Revolution Taxes
In the late 1780s France divided everyone into three social classes or estates. The first estate was the
clergy which was the highest, the second estate was the nobles, and the third estate was the
commoners, or the peasants. France was in a deep financial crisis. King Louis XIV had left France in
debt. The government began to barrow millions of dollars that went to paying the taxes. Food prices
started soaring because of bad harvests which brought hunger to many of the poor peasants. The
government had to increase taxes and reduce expenses to stop this financial crisis but the nobles and
the clergy tried to stop anything to not pay their taxes.
As France was in a huge financial crisis King Louis XIV brought all the clergy, nobles, and us the
commoners to vote by order on how we were going to split the taxes, this was called the meeting of
the estates general. The third estate became upset because we weren t all allowed to vote. This brought
the clergy to want an absolute monarch so they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They promised that they would stick together till they get what they want. The women had a lot of

palace while she pampered herself. The women refused to leave Versailles until King Louis XVI
returned to Paris. The king finally agreed and came back to the city with Marie Antoinette, and their
son back to Paris.
On July 14, 1789 a rumor went around that King Louis XVI brought royal troops to fight all the
peasants. We were furious and started a riot. More than 800 of us broke into the prison of Bastille and
stole all the gunpowder; this was called the Storm of Bastille. This began a rise in the French
revolution to rebel against the king. This brought the rise of a democracy from many years of abuse by
the monarchy. Since this protest we have celebrated Bastille Day for our national independence

The Searchers Movie Essay
The movie, named The Searchers, produced in 1956 starring John Wayne. It was directed by John
Ford and the list of characters had many stars. I chose this film because of the many examples of
concepts learned in cultural anthropology. Ethan Edwards, played by John Wayne, returns to his
brother s house in Texas after his service in the Confederate Army. His adopted nephew, Martin, meets
him and Ethan says Folks might mistake you for a half breed. This racist comment was the first of
many by Ethan although Martin s phenotype was that of a white man. The Comanche warriors stole
cattle and while the men were looking for the cattle, the Comanche burned Ethan s brother s house and
killed everyone but Debbie and Lucy. Debbie and Lucy were taken ... Show more content on

Brad rode off to get revenge and was killed. Martin and Ethan continued to follow the Comanche.
Ethan refers to the Native American males as bucks. This is a derogatory term used in an attempt by
Caucasians to make the Native Americans seem less than human. Due to the ignorance of the
Comanche culture, Martin buys a wife with a hat. Ethan speaks Comanche enough to find out Martin s
wife knew where Scar s band was at. He spoke to her harshly to find out what she knew. His syntax
was different than the language Look spoke. Look ran off in the night and left a trail to follow. They
found a burned out village and Look was dead in a tepee. They left the dead and rode on. At a
government holding area the pair found four girls who had been rescued. They had been enculturated
into the Comanche culture. They were acting in a way that Ethan said they were not white anymore.
They had been culturally assimilated into the Comanche society and their ethnicity was the Comanche
culture. Ethan attempted ethnocide by killing buffalo. He said the buffalo won t feed Comanche this
winter . Martin stopped him from killing more buffalo. The commentary said Ethan did something

Describe The Typical Italian Dinner
This ethnographic text will describe how the typical Italian dinner is structured, through a rather
classic Saturday dinner in my house. The first paragraph will illustrate the social hierarchy of the
family when setting up the table. The following parts of the essay will describe the processes that
occur when starting the meal, and then the different rules and habits when eating.
In this family, dinner does start a specific time every day, rather, it starts when my father is finish
cooking. On this occasion, he started cooking at eight p.m., and it usually takes him between 45
minutes and an hour to finish. While he was cooking, all the other members of the family (me, my
sister, my mother and my grandmother), were all outside the kitchen, busy with our own activities.
We all reunited around the table only, when father called us when he was almost finish preparing the
food. At this moment, the rest of the family cleared off the table from all the objects that do not belong
to the table during dinner time, and as we did this, we also set up the table. The setup is very
structured, in fact, there are always two plates for each person (a smaller plate on top of a bigger one),
both fork and knife on the right hand side of the plate with the glass on the top left corner of the plate,
and in the middle of the table there are a jar of water, a wooden ... Show more content on

this to leave some leftovers for the next day.) and decided it was time for the second course

Addison s disease
Addison s disease is a rare disorder that occurs when the adrenal glands do not produce enough
hormones. It occurs in all age groups and affects all genders equally. This disorder is characterized by
weight loss, muscle weakness, fatigue, and low blood pressure and oftentimes darkening of the skin in
both exposed and unexposed parts of the body.
Thomas Addison first described the clinical presentation of primary adrenocortical insufficiency
(Addison s Disease) in 1855 in his classic paper, On the Constitutional and Local Effects of Diseases
of the Supra Renal Capsules.

aldosterone can be replaced with a synthetic steroid, fludrocortisone acetate, which is taken orally

With hormone therapy, many people with Addison s disease are able to lead a nearly normal life.

The Great City Of New York
Glamour and Riches
Since the introduction of films and theatres the great city of New York has often been depicted as an
idyllic place to live, where people go to make their dreams come true. One movie in particular enthral
us in its representation of New York City, Breakfast at Tiffany s based on Truman Capote s novella
brings the glamourous atmosphere of the high society to our door step. Produced in 1961, it also opens
a window to the mores of the time. This movie made New York City the place to be to get rich and
live free. It acts as an icon for the American Dream, a City of hope.
As the film opens on a scene of Holyday Golightly, actress Audrey Hepburn, still wearing an evening
gown getting out of a taxi and gazing at the displays of the Tiffany s store on Fifth Avenue, the
spectator can already feel the richness of New York. Breakfast at Tiffany s describes New York as a
grand place full of light and richness; nowhere in the movie do we see a person struggling to survive.
Moreover, even though Holy is utterly unable to manage her money, the City itself seems to provide
for her whenever she is in need. A new opportunity to enrich her always seems to appear out of
nowhere. Consequently, New York appears as a benefactor bestowing its greatness to the citizens,
opportunities and chances to make it big await at every corner. Holy s dream is to someday have
breakfast at Tiffany s, which symbolise her quest for riches as well as her foolish character since it is

Using Forensic Evidence
The traditional methods of solving a crime scene is by using witnesses and confessions of the suspect.
That method can work but there is now the method of using forensic evidence to link a suspect to a
crime and potentially solve it, as well. In the being, the use of DNA evidence was seen as being
controversial and challenging by the defense attorneys, even though there were about 17,000 and more
cases that used DNA test in 1997. 1 It is important to remember that DNA is not the only type of
forensic evidence but it is the focus of this paper.
What is DNA testing? There are actually a few types of DNA testing but five major ones. There is the

The Differences and Similarities of the Ottoman Empire and...
While taking the class of Early Modern European History there was two states that really stuck out
and peaked my interest the most. They were the Ottoman Empire and Early Modern Europe. If you
compare and contrast both the Ottoman Empire and Early Modern Europe during the 16th Century
through the 18th Century, you will see that there are a number of similarities as well as differences
when you look at the expansion of the states. You will also see many of these contrasts as well when
you look in terms of each states military and commerce. Although the Ottoman Empire existed before
the 16th century and continued to exist past the 18th century and in great decline until the early 20th
century, when looking at the state as a whole the time ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, there is such a thing called supply and demand, and the consumer chooses what is needed or
wanted. This article also signified the evolution of the English economy of moving away of
mercantilism capitalism. Both the articles had a significant impact on the societies of each state.
Perhaps the greatest comparisons can be made in how the two states expanded, grew, and changed
point of view within the time period. The second comparison point would be what role religion played
in to the time period, with the scope of the protestant uprising in the late 15th century and the change
in what citizens perceived the role of god and religion in society. Also important with this is the role
that the Millet system played within the Ottoman Empire specifically when overtaking new lands and
expanding. The third comparison point revolves around the economy and taxation habits of both
states, looking closely at the mercantile, trade, Industrial Revolution, and taxation. Lastly, you can
also look at the fall or change of both great states through important events and how those events
shaped their futures in many ways. Though the end of the 18th century and the Battle of Vienna didn t
mark the end of the Ottoman Empire, it did note the start to the downfall of the great state. With the
same token, the French Revolution marked another change and progression from Early Modern

A black hole is a point in space where there is extreme gravitational pull, so extreme that light itself
cannot escape. The strength of gravity is so strong due to the fact that an immense amount of matter
has been contained in a small space.
The existence of black holes was first theorized by John Mitchell in 1783. Mitchell accepted Newton s
laws of gravity and suggested that light escaping from the surface of a star would have its speed
reduced due to the gravitation pull of the star, and therefore if a star s gravitation pull was strong
enough even light would not be able to escape.[1] Using the approximate speed of light he reasoned
that if an object was approximately 500 times the mass of the sun light would not be able ... Show

As this matter spirals into the black hole it creates what is known as an accretion disk, which
accelerates and heats up emitting X rays which can then be detected by astronomers.[6]
Furthermore existence that black holes exist comes from the observations of astronomers of bursts of
energy which are detected and then lost. An event horizon is an area of space around a black hole for
which nothing can escape, once an object or any matter crosses this event horizon the gravity of the
black hole will be too strong for it to escape. As a cloud of gas swirls and nears a black hole, the gases
heat up and will emit x rays. Astronomers have observed instances of several burts of x rays being
detected and then disappearing at areas where black holes are thought to be found. This may be caused
by the gases emitting x rays and then crossing the event horizon and disappearing forever. The
observations of these bursts of energy are useful for astronomers in finding black holes.
GX 339 4, illustrated here, is among the most dynamic binaries in the sky, with four major outbursts in
the past seven years. In the system, an evolved star no more massive than the sun orbits a black hole
estimated at 10 solar masses. [5]
However the strongest evidence of black holes comes from our

Jesus In The Book Of Judges
We all know that Jesus is not able to be replicated by anything from mankind. Keeping this in mind,
we still strive to be like him. I the book of Judges there are great examples of men trying to be like
Jesus, and follow in his footsteps. WE also know that we have sin in our lives so there is no way to be
perfect like Jesus was. In the book of Judges there are also many examples of people falling into sin
and being much different than Jesus. Samson was a strong warrior. Later in his life he was captured
and was put on a stage as what seems like nothing but a freak show for the rich to look at and be
entertained. At this point in times he pulls the pillars killing more people then he did when he lived.

Gideon knew that if you put your hope in the place then your numbers don t matter as much.(Judges
7) He narrowed down his men from 10,000 to 300 (as God had commanded.) With all this trust he put
in God he was able to defeat all the Midianites and prove that God can use small numbers. Jesus also
worked with very small numbers. Jesus knew that God could work though small numbers and that He
didn t need the advantage of a big crowd to win. Jesus had many followers but narrowed his core
group of followers to 12. God was able to carry on his message through these men and show his love
to the world. Samson also contrasted from Jesus and showed weakness. Samson knew his purpose and
how to fulfill it (by following the Nazarite vows) but he fell into sin many times and broke the
promise with Christ. One example of Samson breaking the Nazarite vow is touching the dead carcass
of a lion in Judges 14:9. Jesus on the other hand fulfilled his prophecy in full. He not only stayed clean
but also lived a perfect life. This ultimately ending with his main purpose of dying for all of us

The Abortion Of The United States
Facing Abortion in the United States
Abortion is a common debated topic in the United States. It is becoming commonplace in our society.
Terminating an unwanted pregnancy is a difficult choice that many women have faced throughout the
years. Through out this paper, reasons for abortion, women, underage girls, parental laws, emotions,
and the procedures of terminating a pregnancy will be discussed. While there is still more research
being done, it is said that abortion can have both negative and positive effects.
There are many reasons for why women seek abortions. The purposes for seeking an abortion have
been categorized into 11 wide ranging themes. The main themes acknowledged as intentions for
seeking an abortion included financial reasons (40%), timing (36%), marital reasons (31%), and the
need to focus on other children (29%); (Biggs, Gould, Foster 2013). Women seek abortion for reasons
that are related to their surroundings, including their economic status, age, healthiness, and marital
status (Biggs et al., 2013). For women who have an abortion, their circumstances can sometimes
change for the better by not having a baby. Women who feel that they can better themselves without a
child in the picture are motivated to have an abortion so they can reach their goals. There is a fear of
undergoing humiliation, or internalized shame due to the choice of having an abortion; driving women
to provide a response that society would understand for her decision to

final solution was the phrase used by the Nazi s for their plan for the extermination of all European
Jews. This meeting was the first time that the government leaders not involved with the Nazi party

Perches are very important for Congo African Grey parrots as they spend most of their time on them,
when they are not flying. The perches should be of varying diameters, though for a primary perch, the

opposite ends of the aviary or cage without obstacles in the way is a good idea as it allows for flight.
The perches should be made of varying materials (such as branches from safe trees such as fruit trees,

Rhetorical Analysis Of Professions For Women
Analysis on Professions for Women
In Virginia Woolf s speech Professions for Women she uses rhetorical appeal towards women s
abilities to do anything a man can do, she uses an overall good amount of rhetorical devices that help
the reader to picture experience what she s feeling and wanting us to see. On the start of her speech
she acknowledges the issue that society is becoming concerned with the employment of women,
because women are still being judged about their place in the world and what their role in society
should be. She then counteracts this negativity by talking about her own personal professional
experiences. Although she is a woman she appeals to Ethos because she is in a room of women talking
about what they all have in common, discrimination towards what their sex can and cannot do. Woolf
also uses lots of imagery with her Ethos when she states The family Peace has not broken by the
scratching of a Pen. She is showing that although she is a woman and women don t typically work in
literature and aren t good writers her family still had no problem with it. Writing has a reputable and
harmless occupation. (1) Therefore there was no harm being done, she wasn t bothering anyone with
her work. The fact that paper is cheap in their time only gives more reason to why women have
succeeded as writers before they have succeeded in the other professions (1) giving them the
opportunity to buy a plentiful amount and given all the free time on their hands

class to not alienate a person.

When Grizzlies Walked Up Right Analysis
In this paper I will be making an analysis essay about the Native American myth When Grizzlies
Walked up Right. The theme of the story is the creation of new creatures and origins of the first
Indians. Also I will be going into a little bit more detail about most of the characters in the short story.
Almost everyone has a thought on how their origins but the people of the Modoc tribe believe they
have a close relation to bears. It all started with the chief of the sky spirits, the story claims that the
chief of the sky spirits was not comfortable, living up in the sky. Do to that fact the chief decided to
come down to earth so he created a mountain for him and his family could live. His family consisted
of his wife and their children but we are going to focus on the youngest as she becomes a huge
character later on. But as the chief is coming down his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the Chief was coming down his mountain creating trees here and there along the mountains side,
he made birds from the leaves that came from the trees and then created many more animals from the
end of his stick the biggest being the grizzly bear. According to the Native American myth the bears
were at first made to walk on two feet and talk like humans but later on cursed by the chief of the sky
spirits so they would have to walk on all four feet and could never talk again. That all came to happen
because of a simple mistake from the youngest daughter of the chief. The daughter was sent up the
mountain by her father to handle something it was a very windy day and she got blown off the
mountain later on being found by a bear who was hunting and they brought her back not knowing who
she belonged to and raised her as their own. Later on the young girl would end up marring one of the
grizzlies and after that the two would end up creating a new kind of creature,

Assignment On Cutting The Federal Budget
Cutting the Federal Budget The most challenging thing for a public administration is the budget. It is
difficult because there are so many things that will affect it and in the end, it could leave to a worse
society and a diminishing country. It is also tough because it cuts so many programs from funding that
many constituencies depend on it and for some it can mean a life or death situation. In my assignment,
I cut the budget to 46 Million dollars in surplus and 89.6% in budget sustainability. What I had to do
was increase revenue and make cuts across the board from Social Security cuts, defense cuts, public
and military budget cuts as well. I made quite a few changes to the budget to achieve my goal of
balancing the pubic administrative ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

society. These cuts show that at a younger age, I made cuts to everything except in the social security.
I did not make these cuts because it is vital to senior citizens. I also realized that the elite class need to
pay their share of taxes instead of going through loopholes. I also feel that at this early age I am still
trying to be acceptable to budget cuts and increase in everyone so that all are equal and have a fair

Issues Associated with Workplace Diversity
Workplace Diversity refers to the human characteristics that are present in the workplace making
people different from one another. Various human characteristics would include race, gender, age,
certain physical attributes, experience, and personal habits.
Workplace Diversity does not only refer to those groups that have been discriminated against or that
are different from the dominant or privileged groups, but to the mixture of differences, similarities and
tensions that can exist among the elements of a pluralistic mixture.
Sexual Orientation Issues
Sexual orientation is a topic that organisations tend to discount or overlook.
E.g. Janet, a lesbian, started working as a purchasing assistant at a mid sized plumbing supply store.
She got along fine with her co workers, but she felt very uncomfortable about the attitudes of many of
the salespeople, who regularly made jokes about Bob, a co worker who was gay. Janet thought that if
she stood up for him, she also would become a target of their jokes.
Recommendations
1. Include respect for all forms of diversity, even sexual orientation, into the organisation s vision
statement
2. Make a point to include sexual orientation issues in both your diversity awareness programs and
new employee orientation programme.
3. Ask managers to confront prejudiced remarks, jokes and behaviours.
4. Promoting and reinforcing the value of respecting people s beliefs

Women are entering the work force in greater numbers than ever

The Secret Sharer By Joseph Conrad
The Secret Sharer by Joseph Conrad The short story The Secret Sharer by Joseph Conrad centers
around a character of a sea captain who is insecure and has great feelings of inadequacy on his fist job
as Captain of a ship. In the story the Captain befriends a fugitive by the name of Legatt who is clearly
shown to be a figment of the Captains imagination rather than an actual human being. The title of the
story alone suggests that the secret sharer is an imaginary friend that is secretive and that the Captain
can share his thoughts with. The Captains feelings of inadequacy and his insecurities leave an empty
space in him, which he fills by imagining his secret sharer . Legatt helps the Captain overcome his
feelings of inadequacy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At this point the Captain is unsteady in his new command but has good intentions. He keeps anchor
watch one night, to the astonishment of the crew, as a gesture of benevolence. However, his attempt
toward friendliness serves to alienate the captain even further because his crew is so taken aback by
his actions. The Captain needs to show leadership in order to gain respect of his crew, but being his
first time in command of a ship and being a stranger to himself he does not know how. When Legatt
first appears the Captain seems to treat him like a distinguished guest rather than a fugitive. The
Captain discovers that they have a few things in common and feels like he has someone he can relate
to on the ship. He refers to Legatt as his double numerous times because he says they look so much
alike. When Legatt first enters the ship the Captain gives him a sleeping suit identical to his and it fit
him perfectly. Some very great similarities can be seen from this and it appears that the Captain and
Legatt are one and the same person One of my hands, too, rested on the end of the skylight...the
strange Captain having a quiet confabulation by the wheel with his own gray ghost (730). This quote
suggests that the Captain may be imagining Legatt to have someone on the ship to confide in and not
to be the only stranger on the ship. The Captain hides Legatt in his quarters for a few days and
becomes almost inseparable from him, which in turn makes the

This Paper Offers A Critical Reflection And Analysis Of
This paper offers a critical reflection and analysis of my genogram. My family consists of two
completely different families thrown together who coexist together without much intermingling. When
viewed as one unit, I would describe my family as a loose knit, hardworking, Black middle class,
southern, Christian family. I use the term loose knit because my family is not close at all. We can go
months without talking to or seeing each other and there is nothing wrong with that. There have been
many times I have been in conversation with family friends and find out information about my family
because we do not interact with family members often. The anchor that each of us is close to is our
mother, Sandra Smith Graves.
Black middle class is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another southern custom in my family is the unspoken expectation that nothing or nobody comes
before family. Though we are distant as a family when our family is involved everything else becomes
secondary. The last custom that my family places a huge emphasis on is the honoring and respect for
elders.
The last way I want to describe my family is as Christian. All of my family members are practicing
Christians. My father s side of the family has traditionally been Baptist, while my mother s side of the
family has deep roots in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Through doing this assignment, I
found out that my maternal grandfather was an AME pastor. Church has always been a pillar of my
family. As children, we had no choice but to attend church because it is what our parents felt was best
for us.
Now that I have offered analysis and reflection on the extended family field of my family system on a
macro level, I want to provide a microscopic look as it relates to individuals and individual
relationships within my family system. As previously mentioned my family tends to have a level of
homeostasis that is comfortable with distance and long periods of not interacting. This does not mean
we do not love each other; we are just comfortable loving at a distance. This is connected to one of our
unspoken rules and expectations, which is do not feel bad if I do not call you or interact with you
regularly. This unspoken

Sydney Water Eastern Sewerage Treatment Plant Site Report
Melbourne Water Eastern Sewerage Treatment plant Site Report There are several different
technologies used at the Eastern Treatment Plant for treating sewerage until it becomes Class A treated
effluent. An overview of the process can be seen in Figure 1 below: Figure 1: A schematic diagram
showing the overall sewerage treatment process (Melbournewater.com.au nd.) Grit filtration is used to
begin the removal of some solids and large objects and rubbish that end up in sewerage such as
plastics, condom wrappers and toys by passing the water through two filters (Melbournewater.com.au

The remnant sludge is dried leaving a biosolid high in metals and contaminants which is considered
unsafe for human contact and is currently stored onsite (Melbourne Water 2014). As with most
technology the definition of state of the art is incredibly subjective and is rooted in social and
economic issues (Diaper Sharma 2007). For the treatment of sewerage this is particularly true and it is
hard to separate technology from social and economic issues, as such both will be addressed together.
Currently most of the technology used is state of the art based on the on recent implementation of the
new upgrade to the treatment process by the addition of tertiary processing (Melbourne Water 2014).
There are always improvements in technology that could be implemented but when taking in to
consideration the low economic viability of many new technologies for a commercial scale at the
present time, the current technology is cutting edge for its purpose and cost (Melbourne Water 2014).
As new technology becomes more economical than this question will have to be readdressed. For
example a state of the art water treatment technology that could be employed would be any pressure
driven membrane filtration such as reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, and microfiltration
make the Category A treated effluent in to

After collecting the results from the first two experiments, the third experiment was used to eliminate
any doubt in this experiment. Thirty nine undergraduate students, averaging approximately twenty one
years of age were tested. Out of the words listed, there was a stimulus that had nothing to do with the
other listed words. These participants were split into two groups randomly, Survival and Pleasantness.
The procedure of this experiment mirrors the same procedure as the first experiment. Results It was
discovered that the adults in experiment one and three as well as the children in experiment two have a
survival recall advantage. It was also found that those who were put under a survival group had more
false recalled words. By looking at the net accuracy scores, the advantage of true recall under a
survival context is mute by the amount of falsely recalled words. Relevance In my opinion, these
findings are important in knowing how much we can remember in different environments. In a
survival mindset, it becomes a lot easier to remember critical objects for survival, but at the same time
more false words are brought up and recalled. These findings show that it s rather apparent that being
in a survival mode, it does exactly what you would expect it to do, help you survive. Regardless of
your age, you improve your true recall while in a survival

The Issue of Overfishing
In contemporary society, human society is progressing rapidly on various fronts. Nevertheless at the
same time, the problem of overfishing is becoming increasingly worrisome and attract extensive
attention of the society. In this essay, I will address overfishing and propose some possible causes of
this phenomenon which can give contribution to some solutions. Introduction
This issue of overfishing covers vast fields, such as science, humanity, economy, society and nature.
The term optimum , in regard to the yield from a fishery, is difficult to be defined, precisely and
fixedly. Generally speaking, we can describe it as follows: (Niles E. Stople, January 2009, FishNet
USA)
Will provide maximum effectiveness benefit to the Nation, particularly in relation to food production
and recreational opportunities, and giving consideration to the protection of marine ecosystems
In case of an overfished fishery, provides for reconstructing to a level consistent with producing the
maximum sustainable yield in such fishery
Overfishing s status as the focus of public concern mainly results from its negligible but harmful
influence on individuals, collective, and even the whole world. One of the world s significant fishery
in the East China Sea is damage by overfishing and growing levels of contamination, recent research
has shown, confirming the fear of fishermen and environmentalists. (Xinhua on GOV, Lu Hui, ed. 16

Hay Bayer Essay
Hay Bayler Problem Statement: you have five bales of hay that were weighed in all possible
combinations of two, 1 and 2, 1 and 3, 1 and 4, and so on. The weight combination was written down
without keeping track of which weight matched which pair of bales. The weights are 80, 82, 83, 84,
85, 86, 87, 88, 90, and 91. You need to find out which two bales go with which weight and how much
bales 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 weigh. Are there more than 1 possibility. Process: my group first did guess and
check to try and solve the problem. First we thought that the bales had to be 40 50 because if you had
70+70 it would be out of the range of 80 90 by a lot. Our first guess was that bale 1=42, 2=43, 3=44,
4=40, and bale 5=45. That didn t work so then we tried doing bale 1=42, 2=43, 3=41, 4=47, and bale
5=44. That also didn t work so then we thought. I thought that maybe we had to give bales 1 and 2, 2
and 3, 3 and 4, and 4 and 5 one of the weights and see if it works. We gave 1 and 2 85, 2 and 3 84, 3
and 4 88, and 4 and 5 91. It worked but when we tried to add 1 and 3, 2 and 5, and 1 and 4 it just fell
apart. So that theory did not work. The whole class was having trouble so we did it all together. Our
teacher gave us each a number 36 48. I got the number 39. So I started with 39+41=40, then
39+43=82. Then I did 41+43=84 I kept doing it till I found the answer. Bale1=39, Bale2=41,

Character s Name Jonah Character Analysis
Character s Name: Jonah Meaning(s): A dove, Promise
Analysis: Throughout the story, Jonah has shown many different attitudes and moods. He is always
faced with a devastating choice between one thing and another, and that is shown when he sees
Andrea/Virginia Dares tracer in the woods right when they are leaving. He before promised Andrea
that he would find her tracer and make history correct. When she joins her tracer however, Andrea
completely changes history by forcing her tracer to move and see her father, John White. He has
shown much promise to all of the characters throughout the series.
2. Character s Name: Katherine Meaning(s): Pure Analysis: Throughout the 3 books of the series I
have read, it has been seen that there is not as much purity in Katherine. That doesn t mean she is the
worst person, but is at the most averaged right in the middle of being pure and not being pure. This
meanly goes with one part were Katherine is trying to calm Andrea down from all the mess she has
made. Then, when Jonah came in to chew Andrea for sabatoshing them, Katherine starts to get mad at

  • 2. Bgla Enzyme Lab Report Gene BglA was sub cloned in pET21a (+), recombinant vector transformed and propagated in E. coli BL21 CodonPlus under the control of T7/lac promoter system. The positive bacterial transformants were grown in LB ampicillin broth (100 µg mL−1) and induced with IPTG for the production of recombinant BglA enzyme. Optimal heterologous expression and efficient folding of BglA protein was observed with 0.5 mM IPTG, after 72 h incubation at 22°C. The use of reduced concentration of IPTG for getting maximum gene expression, was proved an efficient method for the production of active soluble enzyme. The protein was purified by applying two subsequent purification steps employing ion exchange and hydrophobic interaction chromatography after heat treatment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... BglA was remain active even in the existence of 600 mM glucose. However, BglA activity was gradually repressed with the increase of glucose concentration, and Ki value for glucose was found to be 1200 mM as shown in figure 4b. Organic solvents have proven an obvious constrain for the BglA activity, enzyme was completely inactive by adding 40% (v/v) methanol, ethanol, n butanol and isopropanol whereas, 40% (v/v) acetone, ethyl acetate and acetonitrile strongly repressed BglA activity up to 18%, 38%, 50%, respectively. 3.6. Shelf life of recombinant BglA Storage stability of BglA crude media supernatant, heat treated supernatant (at 70°C for an hour) and purified enzyme was an important and crucial parameter for commercial utilization. BglA enzyme has an exceptional storage stability, retaining 100% initial activity after the storage for one year at 4°C, in all the three ways of storage (crude supernatant, heat treated and purified). Both crude heat treated and purified BglA has retained 100% initial activity at room temperature (30 35°C) up to 240 days but after 95 days the crude enzyme showed marginal decline ... • 3. Chemical vs Physical Change Lab Chemical Changes VS Physical Changes Lab Report (Full Name) 3rd period Purpose: To observe the difference between chemical and physical changes. Materials: * * Hot plate * Water * Salt * Evaporating dish * Candle * Matches * Ammonium hydroxide * Watch glass * Phenolphthalein * Paper towel * Cornstarch * Iodine * Cup * Alka Seltzer tablet * Pipet * Milk * Vinegar * Copper II sulfate * Lead II nitrate Safety: * Goggles were worn. * Aprons were worn. * Lab station was cleaned up directly following experiments. * Hands were washed after experiments. * No eating or drinking took place in the lab. * Experiments were not conducted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A chemical change is a change that alters the identity of a substance. A chemical change can be identified by five things: change in mass, formation of a precipitate, release of heat and/or light, color change, or giving off gas. Physical changes occurred in four out of the eight experiments completed in this lab. The first was experiment one, the salt and water. The salt was added to water but when the water evaporated the salt remained. The water changed to the vapor form of water and the salt did not change. The second was experiment two, the candle. When the candle was lit the heat given off from the fire melted the wax beneath it. Melting is a physical change because the liquid wax is still wax, its usual form is just a solid. Experiment four dealt with ripping paper. This was a physical change because, although the paper was being ripped apart, it was (and still is) paper. The smaller pieces did not change the mass or any other factor of it except the surface area of each piece. Experiment seven dealt with vinegar being added to milk. The vinegar did not change but the milk was curdled by the vinegar. Although the milk was curdled, the milk remained milk. The composition stayed the same. Each of these experiments showed no change in a substance so as it changed to another substance. Chemical changes occurred in five out of the eight experiments completed in this lab. Although the main focus of experiment two was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. British Independence Research Paper Imagine that your homeland, for which you feel nothing but the most overwhelming pride, has been occupied by a neighboring power for the past 750 years, and that they have continually degraded your indigenous culture, and at times committed acts which bordered on genocide. I m willing to bet you would not stop short of bloodshed to remove the invasive neighbor. Now imagine that after you ve fought, and bled, and killed, and died to establish an independent republic in your homeland, you send a delegation including one of your greatest leaders to the enemy s capital to negotiate for independence, and the delegation comes back with a treaty which provides that the enemy will keep one sixth of your territory, while the other five sixths must still, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In order to achieve this end, they resorted to low intensity asymmetrical warfare, utilizing guerrilla tactics that the British Army was wholly ill equipped to counter. By 1921, in fact, the British had realized that it was politically impossible for them to win the war. Victory, for the British, would have required an even more heavy handed implementation of martial law than what they had already implemented, which undoubtedly would have been noticed on the other side of the Atlantic. The United Kingdom needed the support of the United States for various vital strategic agendas in Asia and the Pacific. But the Irish cause already had immense support among the American population, such that Éamon de Valera had already raised $5.5 million from American supporters of the Irish cause. The American people were very unlikely to be happy if the British resorted to such tactics, which would have derailed the possibility of American support for the United Kingdom s agendas in the Far East. Upon making this realization, the Government of Prime Minister David Lloyd George offered a truce to some very confused Irish ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. French Revolution Taxes In the late 1780s France divided everyone into three social classes or estates. The first estate was the clergy which was the highest, the second estate was the nobles, and the third estate was the commoners, or the peasants. France was in a deep financial crisis. King Louis XIV had left France in debt. The government began to barrow millions of dollars that went to paying the taxes. Food prices started soaring because of bad harvests which brought hunger to many of the poor peasants. The government had to increase taxes and reduce expenses to stop this financial crisis but the nobles and the clergy tried to stop anything to not pay their taxes. As France was in a huge financial crisis King Louis XIV brought all the clergy, nobles, and us the commoners to vote by order on how we were going to split the taxes, this was called the meeting of the estates general. The third estate became upset because we weren t all allowed to vote. This brought the clergy to want an absolute monarch so they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They promised that they would stick together till they get what they want. The women had a lot of angry towards the queen Marie Antoinette. She didn t care about anyone but herself and lived in her palace while she pampered herself. The women refused to leave Versailles until King Louis XVI returned to Paris. The king finally agreed and came back to the city with Marie Antoinette, and their son back to Paris. On July 14, 1789 a rumor went around that King Louis XVI brought royal troops to fight all the peasants. We were furious and started a riot. More than 800 of us broke into the prison of Bastille and stole all the gunpowder; this was called the Storm of Bastille. This began a rise in the French revolution to rebel against the king. This brought the rise of a democracy from many years of abuse by the monarchy. Since this protest we have celebrated Bastille Day for our national independence ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Searchers Movie Essay The movie, named The Searchers, produced in 1956 starring John Wayne. It was directed by John Ford and the list of characters had many stars. I chose this film because of the many examples of concepts learned in cultural anthropology. Ethan Edwards, played by John Wayne, returns to his brother s house in Texas after his service in the Confederate Army. His adopted nephew, Martin, meets him and Ethan says Folks might mistake you for a half breed. This racist comment was the first of many by Ethan although Martin s phenotype was that of a white man. The Comanche warriors stole cattle and while the men were looking for the cattle, the Comanche burned Ethan s brother s house and killed everyone but Debbie and Lucy. Debbie and Lucy were taken ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Brad rode off to get revenge and was killed. Martin and Ethan continued to follow the Comanche. Ethan refers to the Native American males as bucks. This is a derogatory term used in an attempt by Caucasians to make the Native Americans seem less than human. Due to the ignorance of the Comanche culture, Martin buys a wife with a hat. Ethan speaks Comanche enough to find out Martin s wife knew where Scar s band was at. He spoke to her harshly to find out what she knew. His syntax was different than the language Look spoke. Look ran off in the night and left a trail to follow. They found a burned out village and Look was dead in a tepee. They left the dead and rode on. At a government holding area the pair found four girls who had been rescued. They had been enculturated into the Comanche culture. They were acting in a way that Ethan said they were not white anymore. They had been culturally assimilated into the Comanche society and their ethnicity was the Comanche culture. Ethan attempted ethnocide by killing buffalo. He said the buffalo won t feed Comanche this winter . Martin stopped him from killing more buffalo. The first paragraph will illustrate the social hierarchy of the family when setting up the table. The following parts of the essay will describe the processes that occur when starting the meal, and then the different rules and habits when eating. In this family, dinner does start a specific time every day, rather, it starts when my father is finish cooking. On this occasion, he started cooking at eight p.m., and it usually takes him between 45 minutes and an hour to finish. While he was cooking, all the other members of the family (me, my sister, my mother and my grandmother), were all outside the kitchen, busy with our own activities. We all reunited around the table only, when father called us when he was almost finish preparing the food. At this moment, the rest of the family cleared off the table from all the objects that do not belong to the table during dinner time, and as we did this, we also set up the table. The setup is very structured, in fact, there are always two plates for each person (a smaller plate on top of a bigger one), both fork and knife on the right hand side of the plate with the glass on the top left corner of the plate, and in the middle of the table there are a jar of water, a wooden ... While taking the class of Early Modern European History there was two states that really stuck out and peaked my interest the most. They were the Ottoman Empire and Early Modern Europe. You will also see many of these contrasts as well when you look in terms of each states military and commerce. The second comparison point would be what role religion played in to the time period, with the scope of the protestant uprising in the late 15th century and the change in what citizens perceived the role of god and religion in society. Also important with this is the role that the Millet system played within the Ottoman Empire specifically when overtaking new lands and expanding. The third comparison point revolves around the economy and taxation habits of both states, looking closely at the mercantile, trade, Industrial Revolution, and taxation. • 12. Phys1160 Essay PHYS1160 A black hole is a point in space where there is extreme gravitational pull, so extreme that light itself cannot escape. The strength of gravity is so strong due to the fact that an immense amount of matter has been contained in a small space. The existence of black holes was first theorized by John Mitchell in 1783. Mitchell accepted Newton s laws of gravity and suggested that light escaping from the surface of a star would have its speed reduced due to the gravitation pull of the star, and therefore if a star s gravitation pull was strong enough even light would not be able to escape.[1] Using the approximate speed of light he reasoned that if an object was approximately 500 times the mass of the sun light would not be able ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As this matter spirals into the black hole it creates what is known as an accretion disk, which accelerates and heats up emitting X rays which can then be detected by astronomers.[6] Furthermore existence that black holes exist comes from the observations of astronomers of bursts of energy which are detected and then lost. An event horizon is an area of space around a black hole for which nothing can escape, once an object or any matter crosses this event horizon the gravity of the black hole will be too strong for it to escape. As a cloud of gas swirls and nears a black hole, the gases heat up and will emit x rays. Astronomers have observed instances of several burts of x rays being detected and then disappearing at areas where black holes are thought to be found. This may be caused by the gases emitting x rays and then crossing the event horizon and disappearing forever. The observations of these bursts of energy are useful for astronomers in finding black holes. Women who feel that they can better themselves without a child in the picture are motivated to have an abortion so they can reach their goals. On the start of her speech she acknowledges the issue that society is becoming concerned with the employment of women, because women are still being judged about their place in the world and what their role in society should be. The Captain hides Legatt in his quarters for a few days and becomes almost inseparable from him, which in turn makes the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 27. This Paper Offers A Critical Reflection And Analysis Of This paper offers a critical reflection and analysis of my genogram. My family consists of two completely different families thrown together who coexist together without much intermingling. When viewed as one unit, I would describe my family as a loose knit, hardworking, Black middle class, southern, Christian family. I use the term loose knit because my family is not close at all. We can go months without talking to or seeing each other and there is nothing wrong with that. There have been many times I have been in conversation with family friends and find out information about my family because we do not interact with family members often. The anchor that each of us is close to is our mother, Sandra Smith Graves. Black middle class is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another southern custom in my family is the unspoken expectation that nothing or nobody comes before family. Though we are distant as a family when our family is involved everything else becomes secondary. The last custom that my family places a huge emphasis on is the honoring and respect for elders. The last way I want to describe my family is as Christian. All of my family members are practicing Christians. My father s side of the family has traditionally been Baptist, while my mother s side of the family has deep roots in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Through doing this assignment, I found out that my maternal grandfather was an AME pastor. Church has always been a pillar of my family. As children, we had no choice but to attend church because it is what our parents felt was best for us. Now that I have offered analysis and reflection on the extended family field of my family system on a macro level, I want to provide a microscopic look as it relates to individuals and individual relationships within my family system. As previously mentioned my family tends to have a level of homeostasis that is comfortable with distance and long periods of not interacting. This does not mean we do not love each other; we are just comfortable loving at a distance. This is connected to one of our unspoken rules and expectations, which is do not feel bad if I do not call you or interact with you regularly. This unspoken ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Sydney Water Eastern Sewerage Treatment Plant Site Report Melbourne Water Eastern Sewerage Treatment plant Site Report There are several different technologies used at the Eastern Treatment Plant for treating sewerage until it becomes Class A treated effluent. An overview of the process can be seen in Figure 1 below: Figure 1: A schematic diagram showing the overall sewerage treatment process (Melbournewater.com.au nd.) Grit filtration is used to begin the removal of some solids and large objects and rubbish that end up in sewerage such as plastics, condom wrappers and toys by passing the water through two filters (Melbournewater.com.au nd.). Sedimentation and flocculation collection begins the remove solids as they settle out under very still conditions and hydrophobic components which are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The remnant sludge is dried leaving a biosolid high in metals and contaminants which is considered unsafe for human contact and is currently stored onsite (Melbourne Water 2014). As with most technology the definition of state of the art is incredibly subjective and is rooted in social and economic issues (Diaper Sharma 2007). For the treatment of sewerage this is particularly true and it is hard to separate technology from social and economic issues, as such both will be addressed together. Currently most of the technology used is state of the art based on the on recent implementation of the new upgrade to the treatment process by the addition of tertiary processing (Melbourne Water 2014). There are always improvements in technology that could be implemented but when taking in to consideration the low economic viability of many new technologies for a commercial scale at the present time, the current technology is cutting edge for its purpose and cost (Melbourne Water 2014). As new technology becomes more economical than this question will have to be readdressed. For example a state of the art water treatment technology that could be employed would be any pressure driven membrane filtration such as reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, and microfiltration make the Category A treated effluent in to ... Research on Adaptive Memory Bryan Gallo U9346 7007 Professor Noll Title: Adaptive Memory: Survival Processing Increases Both True and False Memory in Adults and Children Authors: Henry Otgaar and Tom Smeets Maastricht University Journal Information Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition 2010, Vol. 36, No. 4, Pages 1010 1016 Hypothesis Otgaar and Smeets developed three experiments to examine the net accuracy which was scored by the processing mode known as Survival Processing . They believed that while testing adults in the first experiment, the false memory rate would decrease while in a survival condition, therefore being able to remember ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After collecting the results from the first two experiments, the third experiment was used to eliminate any doubt in this experiment. Thirty nine undergraduate students, averaging approximately twenty one years of age were tested. Out of the words listed, there was a stimulus that had nothing to do with the other listed words. These participants were split into two groups randomly, Survival and Pleasantness. The procedure of this experiment mirrors the same procedure as the first experiment. Results It was discovered that the adults in experiment one and three as well as the children in experiment two have a survival recall advantage. It was also found that those who were put under a survival group had more false recalled words. By looking at the net accuracy scores, the advantage of true recall under a survival context is mute by the amount of falsely recalled words. Relevance In my opinion, these findings are important in knowing how much we can remember in different environments. In a survival mindset, it becomes a lot easier to remember critical objects for survival, but at the same time more false words are brought up and recalled. These findings show that it s rather apparent that being in a survival mode, it does exactly what you would expect it to do, help you survive. Regardless of your age, you improve your true recall while in a survival ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. The Issue of Overfishing In contemporary society, human society is progressing rapidly on various fronts. Nevertheless at the same time, the problem of overfishing is becoming increasingly worrisome and attract extensive attention of the society. In this essay, I will address overfishing and propose some possible causes of this phenomenon which can give contribution to some solutions. Introduction This issue of overfishing covers vast fields, such as science, humanity, economy, society and nature. The term optimum , in regard to the yield from a fishery, is difficult to be defined, precisely and fixedly. Generally speaking, we can describe it as follows: (Niles E. Stople, January 2009, FishNet USA) Will provide maximum effectiveness benefit to the Nation, particularly in relation to food production and recreational opportunities, and giving consideration to the protection of marine ecosystems In case of an overfished fishery, provides for reconstructing to a level consistent with producing the maximum sustainable yield in such fishery Overfishing s status as the focus of public concern mainly results from its negligible but harmful influence on individuals, collective, and even the whole world. One of the world s significant fishery in the East China Sea is damage by overfishing and growing levels of contamination, recent research has shown, confirming the fear of fishermen and environmentalists. • 31. Hay Bayer Essay Hay Bayler Problem Statement: you have five bales of hay that were weighed in all possible combinations of two, 1 and 2, 1 and 3, 1 and 4, and so on. The weight combination was written down without keeping track of which weight matched which pair of bales. The weights are 80, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 90, and 91. You need to find out which two bales go with which weight and how much bales 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 weigh. Are there more than 1 possibility. Process: my group first did guess and check to try and solve the problem. First we thought that the bales had to be 40 50 because if you had 70+70 it would be out of the range of 80 90 by a lot. Our first guess was that bale 1=42, 2=43, 3=44, 4=40, and bale 5=45. That didn t work so then we tried doing bale 1=42, 2=43, 3=41, 4=47, and bale 5=44. That also didn t work so then we thought. I thought that maybe we had to give bales 1 and 2, 2 and 3, 3 and 4, and 4 and 5 one of the weights and see if it works. We gave 1 and 2 85, 2 and 3 84, 3 and 4 88, and 4 and 5 91. It worked but when we tried to add 1 and 3, 2 and 5, and 1 and 4 it just fell apart. So that theory did not work. The whole class was having trouble so we did it all together. Our teacher gave us each a number 36 48. I got the number 39. So I started with 39+41=40, then 39+43=82. Then I did 41+43=84 I kept doing it till I found the answer. He is always faced with a devastating choice between one thing and another, and that is shown when he sees Andrea/Virginia Dares tracer in the woods right when they are leaving. He before promised Andrea that he would find her tracer and make history correct. When she joins her tracer however, Andrea completely changes history by forcing her tracer to move and see her father, John White. He has shown much promise to all of the characters throughout the series. 2. Character s Name: Katherine Meaning(s): Pure Analysis: Throughout the 3 books of the series I have read, it has been seen that there is not as much purity in Katherine. That doesn t mean she is the worst person, but is at the most averaged right in the middle of being pure and not being pure. This meanly goes with one part were Katherine is trying to calm Andrea down from all the mess she has made. Then, when Jonah came in to chew Andrea for sabatoshing them, Katherine starts to get mad at him saying it was his fault that this all happened and is less friendly towards him until Andrea tells the truth about what happened. ...
