lot focus on the rising crimes that plagued the town. The authors in this chapter at the beginning talks

world. The types of weapons and what they are made of represent different cultural views and even
the surrounding areas of these places, because weapons are made from what is available to people.

These kids tend to be more antisocial, are disobedient and defiant. School performance can decline
and they can t seem to stay on task. The parenting style that has positive outcomes to a child is an
authoritative parent. These children have higher self esteem, are more cooperative and have positive

As a parent, I tend to be around other parents often weather it s picking my kids up from school or
going to places like the zoo or museum. I have encountered all four times of parents. While on the
school playground I observed an uninvolved parent who was with a child that was between 2 3 years
of age who must have been picking up and older sibling. This parent let the child walk a good 30 feet
ahead of them while starring at their phone screen the whole time. The child went onto the playground
and was attempting to climb stairs to go down a slide, the parent honestly never looked up from their
phone and just sat on a bench. During this time I am with my daughter so I kept an eye on the child
and helped him climb the stairs. In the next ten minutes or so the parent not once engaged in their
child or looked to see if he was still around. The child also seemed to have had an accident but was

My boyfriend and I watched as the seagulls flew overhead and the children tossed them breadcrumbs,
