What Is The Ambitious Military Plan In 1914
In the year of 1914, German decided to put into practice one of the most ambitious military plan in the
history of Europe. Before the outbreak of the war the Kaiser instructed his chief staff Alfred Schlieffen
to devise a strategy that could allow the Germans to fight against their enemies that surrounded
them(France and Russia). This plan was developed in a study written in the early 1906 .It involved the
attack the northwest of Belgium and defending the Alsace Lorraine border with a smaller German
army. Once the tactic was archived, the second facet of the plan consisted that the Germans would
move their troops to the Eastern frontier to fight against the Russian Army. The Schlieffen plan was
going to be put into practice on August 1914.

Marble, or calcium carbonate, is a fairly insoluble compound with the chemical formula CaCO3. This
compound has a carbonate ion, which has a charge of 2 and a calcium ion, which has a charge of +2.
Calcium carbonate has a few forms including chalk and limestone. The main use of these two
materials is in the making of concrete, which is used for many things including buildings. The rate of
the reaction is the speed that the reaction takes place; therefore, by measuring the rate, the amount of
time the reaction takes will be measured. Hydrochloric acid is a stronger acid that is found in digestive
juices in the human stomach and is also used for cleaning metals before they are coated. When you
mix a strong acid like HCl with any carbonate you will have a chemical reaction in which CO2 gas is
released. This means that it will fizz indicating a chemical reaction. These two elements can react with
hydrochloric acid to yield carbon dioxide, calcium chloride and water. The chemical reaction equation
for hydrochloric acid and calcium carbonate is:
2HCl + CaCO3 → CaCl2 + H2O + CO2

Riley V. California Case
Riley v. California is a Supreme Court case that pertains to the Fourth Amendment; specifically, the
privacy clause. This case was decided by the Court in 2014 with a unanimous decision for Riley. It
came to the Court after the petitioner, Riley, was stopped for a traffic violation and then arrested on a
weapons charge. The arresting officer proceeded to search Riley and removed a cell phone from his
pocket. After accessing the phone the officer found evidence of gang related activity. The officer took
Riley back to the station and a detective that specialized in gang related crime went through the phone
and found multiple pictures and videos pertaining to a shooting a few weeks prior. They sought to
enhance the charges due to the evidence found on his phone that connected him to the gangs. Riley
moved to suppress the evidence that was discovered on his phone; the trial court denied the motion
and the Court of Appeals affirmed. A number of interests groups appeared as amici in this case
including: EPIC, American Civil Liberties Union, Cato Institute, DKT Liberty Project, Constitutional
Accountability Center amongst others submitted briefs in support of the petitioner. Two groups
submitted briefs in support of the respondent and those include Association of State Criminal
Investigative Agencies and Arizona et al. The Supreme Court held that without a warrant the police
may not search a cell phone seized from an individual who has been arrested. A warrantless search is

Proverbs in Things Fall Apart
Proverbs are wise sayings that address the heart of the discourse in any given context, truthfully and
objectively. In Africa and in Nigerian cultures especially, they are considered the reliable horses,
which convey meanings to their destinations or hearts of the listeners. This study investigates aspects
of the meaning of proverbs in the work of a Nigerian author, Achebe s Things Fall Apart. It is
contended that meanings of Nigerian proverbs can be worked out within the semantic, referential,
ideational, stimulus response, realist and contextual theories. Types of meaning and proverbs are
addressed and situated within the two works. It is advanced that proverbs play significant roles in
clarifying, exemplifying, underscoring and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Theory: Stimulus Response Types: Denotative, Affective. Analysis: There is a tact advice almost
coinciding with the English proverb, one good turn deserves another here. If a person accords honor or
reverence to the successful ones, it is likely that he is also going to be successful. In other words, the
sense of the proverb is that a person who helps another man helps himself indirectly as he gets
familiar with what that man engages in and this will ultimately lead him also to greatness, directly or
indirectly. 5 A toad does not run in the daytime for nothing.15 Theory: Ideational Types:
Denotative/Stylistic Analysis: The proverb tasks our mental conception or general knowledge of the
toad as a nocturnal animal. If such an animal therefore does run (a lexical item preferred by the author
for metaphorical or stylistic effect, against the normal collocative word, jump ) in the day, there must
be something amiss. The sense of the proverb is that there is a cause for anything strange that happens;
there must be a reason, at least no smoke without fire . A toad running in daytime is probably pursuing
something or certainly something is pursuing it. It has to do with the cause effect relationship. An old

Negative Effects Of Global Warming
Global warming is the continuous increase in temperature of the earth surface, land, water, and
atmosphere that is a huge natural phenomenon that has a tremendous negative impact all over the
world to animals, people, land, and earth because of human activity being a big factor such as the
excessive burning of fossil fuels, nitrogen based fertilizers, deforestation, and automobiles thus
causing negative effects to earth such as the polar ice melting, the sea level rising, melting glaciers,
agriculture. The negative effects of global warming have caused sea levels to rise. Sea level rise is
caused by thermal expansion of the oceans, melting of glaciers and ice caps, melting of the Greenland
and Antarctic ice sheets, and changes in terrestrial storage( Impacts of Global Warming ). If sea levels
continue to rise it will have a bigger worldwide effect on earth in many ways. For instance, the
changes in sea level can cause the additional increase of hurricanes, floods, the increase of erosion,
and it can affect the marine ecosystem. In addition, people from all over the world can be affected by
the of rising sea levels such as people on vacation because rising sea levels can cause an early or
delayed arrival of seasons and it will also cause a change in the water thus causing the crops to die.
Glaciers are slow but massive and tall pieces of thick ice formed by the accumulation of snow
throughout the years because glaciers are commonly found in the polar

The Murder Of The Manson Family By Timothy Dwight
A murderer is normally defined by the psychological attributes that define him or her. These killers
often suffer from a psychotic delusion that forces them to commit their horrific crimes. However,
those who are pronounced sane and rational have a moral conviction that drives them to kill. It is this
principle that separates the average murder from the psychotic sadists that believes in what he or she
does. Charles Manson, leader of the Manson Family, believed in the apocalyptic war of Helter Skelter,
the uprising of blacks and the mass genocide of whites (Whitehead). Manson s firm conviction about
Helter Skelter separates him from other criminals who commit their crimes out of insanity. In Travels

Due to his hormonal deficiency, Leopold became socially reclusive, often not talking to anyone. His
counterpart, Loeb, was handsome and societal person. However, he possessed a demonical side, the
love for the life of crime. Although the Beadle and Loeb and Leopold lived in different eras, the
attributes that define the murderers are still the same. Whereas Loeb and Leopold focus on a
philosophical conundrum, Beadle is faced with a moral conundrum. However, these characters share a
common dilemma, such as social repression, that emulates the personality of a murderer. It is these
ideals and motivations that exemplify the motivation and belief system that drive a person to kill. As
such, these stories are commendable examples that embody the true crime genre. The aftermath of the
Revolutionary War brought freedom to the colonies, but also caused a brief economic collapse.
Beadle, accustomed to a luxurious lifestyle, would rather face death than be considered part of the
lower class. Dwight acknowledges Beadle s pride as the source of condemnation. Dwight states, When
he [Beadle] saw his circumstances reduced so as to threaten him with a necessary and humiliating
change...pride prompted him...in a sullen hostility against God and man... (49). The demotion into a
different class status frightened Beadle, thus igniting his sense of pride. Beadle felt that he could not

Political Changes In The Progressive Era
The history of the United States shows an improvement in its civilization from its origin to the
present. From the independence of the U.S. to the Civil Rights Movement. However, the biggest
change occurred during the Progressive Era; a time period where new ways of thinking started to
develop towards a more fair country. The social aspect had the biggest impact followed by political
changes and some economical. The first political change happened when the muckrakers decided that
the political parties were corrupt and people in the business industry had too much saying in what the
government did. For that reason the muckrakers decided to go against the railroads, the primary
industry that exercised power over the government (Brinkley 478). This was known as the trust buster
regulation, where monopolies were seeing as unfair and corrupt business. Even though corruption was
reduced, the muckrakers also sought to take out power from the bosses, who ... Show more content on

Sternocleidomastoid
The sternocleidomastoid are muscles that are considered accessory. They are active for inhalation
when needs increase or during high lung volumes as in hyperinflation. These muscles pull the sternum
up and increase the size of the upper rib cage in the AP dimension, sometimes taught as pump handle
elevation. These accessory muscles are affected by the position of the diaphragm and changes in the
ZOA.10Kyndy The diaphragm displaces the abdomen and the rib cage equally during quiet breathing.
If the resting tone in the oblique abdominals is insufficient, more than half of the expansion would go
into abdominal expansion allowing for superior migration of the anterior aspect of the rib cage. This
would decrease the ZOA, change the muscle lengths ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Weakness in the abdominals can have a snowball effect on posture and will be discussed later.1 Like
the diaphragm, the transversus abdominis modulates its activity for both postural and respiratory
functions, unlike the other abdominal muscles. It is not active during quite breathing but becomes
active as the demands for expiration increase. Its EMG activity is therefore out of phase with EMG
activity by the diaphragm. 8,11Hodges/Gandevia 2000 and Hodges/Gandevia/Richardson Various
studies have shown that the diaphragm and the transversus abdominis simultaneously contract prior to
movements in the extremities. Hodges et al demonstrated this co activation 20ms prior to the
activation of the deltoid when the subject was asked to move an arm into flexion.8
Hodges/Gandevia/Richardson. Hodges monitored the diaphragm by measuring the length of the ZOA
because it+ is closely associated with the length of the diaphragm. He believed that the diaphragm+
was contributing to postural stability by, maintaining the hoop like geometry of the abdominal
wall.Hodges19 Vostatek stated that the diaphragm was contracting in order to provide abdominal
pressure for stabilization of the spine. He also stated that the ribs needed to stay down and only
expand out to the sides during inhalation in order to maintain

Similarities Between Jainism And Buddhism
Jainism and Buddhism share some common ground and similarities in their beliefs and practices, and
they also have features that make them unique and distinctively different from the other. Some of the
central similarities of Jainism and Buddhism can be found in when and where their traditions
originated, resemblances in their primary teachers, their religious goals, nonbelief in a creator, and
their values of nonattachment and nonviolence. Some differences between Jainism and Buddhism are
found in their karmic principles and the conception of the soul. There seems to be more parallels
shared between Jainism and Buddhism than discrepancies.
Jainism s and Buddhism s main teachers of the practices also share some similarities. Although the
Jain teachings did not originate with him, Mahavira, known as The Great Hero, was the major teacher
of the Jain path. Around the same time in the 5th century BCE, Siddhartha Gautama was teaching
another path which would come to be known as Buddhism. These two teachers were each a prince of a
Kshatriya clan and both renounced his position of wealth at around the same age: Mahavira was 30,
and Siddhartha Gautama was 29. (Fisher, 2013, pp. 121, 137, 138)
Both Jainism and Buddhism originated in India. Yet, unlike Hinduism, neither is based on the Vedas,
and both were alternatives to the ritual oriented Brahmanism of India. The extreme antiquity of
Jainism is well documented from ancient Hindu and Buddhist scriptures, but the teachings

Compare And Contrast The Most Dangerous Game And Hunters...
In both Richard Connell s The Most Dangerous Game and Tobias Wolff s Hunters in the Snow, seen
are divergent interpretations of similar setting descriptions, protagonists, and conflicts. The short story
The Most Dangerous Game follows a seemingly emotionless war veteran familiar with hunting named
Rainsford who is being chased on an isolated island by a murderer named Zaroff. Conversely in
Hunters in the Snow, the story opens with a large man by the name of Tub almost getting run over

hunters. One of the first details mentioned within the main plot of each of these short stories is their

The reader is to assume that Rainsford has killed Zaroff and won the game by the final sentence: He
had never slept in a better bed, Rainsford decided (p. 79). The allusion to death as seen in Hunters in
the Snow is within the last three sentences: I m going to the hospital, Kenny said. But he was wrong.
They had taken a different turn a long way back (p. 92). Each of these stories also end happily for the
protagonists. Tub is enjoying time with Frank, who is now no longer making fun of him, and
Rainsford is contempt in Zaroff s bed, his trophy for winning the game. The reason behind the
divergent interpretations of both The Most Dangerous Game and Hunters in the Snow are each of the
authors points of view. The reader can assume Richard Connell is more keen of a happy ending for the
protagonist. Contrarily, the reader can assume Tobias Wolff is a more twisted writer and does not mind
leaving the story unhappily open ended. Each of these short stories motivate the reader to sympathize
with the protagonist, but in two completely different ways. The stories are somewhat similar in their
structure; each ending with only an assumption by the reader of how the tale

The Kiss, And The Kiss Made By Gustav Klimt
Whether on purpose or not, artworks will always have emotion and messages etched into them which
viewers pick up on. The viewers develop these emotions and messages by analysing certain elements
and principles of the piece. One can often find that if you use an element in two ways that are the
complete opposite to each other, you will effect the mood similarly. For example, cool colours are
associated with sadness, while warm tones with happiness. Another example being that of the two
emotions love and loneliness which are openly displayed in two pieces we will be analysing. The first
being a Austrian piece The Kiss made by Gustav Klimt in 1908. A well known piece highly associated
with love, and quite the opposite to Russel Drysdale s The Drover s Wife . Made in 1945, the Australia
artwork shows loneliness. These two artworks deliver completely different meanings to the viewers
simply by differing the ways in which certain elements and principles are used. Some of which being
colour, space, and emphasis. By analysing these emotive pieces, we will develop an understanding of
why and how art can make us feel different emotions.
The beautiful, gilded style piece that is known as The Kiss is an emotive piece expressing love. The
focal point of this piece is the two lovers embraced in a kiss in the centre of the canvas. The artwork
on its own shows a strong display of emotion, an evoked love, passion and love. How the audience

Loyalists Vs Patriots
Both Loyalists and Patriots faced several tribulations in events leading up to the American Revolution
as the feelings of rebellion slowly progressed and created a great sense of tension. The Loyalists that
inhabited the colonies, however, endured severe harassment in the times leading up to the war. They
suffered through actions of disrespect and humiliation. They were, in other words, tortured for their
position on the side of the English Law. This treatment forced many Loyalists to flee and return to
England or to spread out and live elsewhere. Personal attacks and the stealing and destruction of their
property were common nuisances that the Loyalists endured in times of trouble. Another example of

Search And Seizure Exceptions . There Are Several Exceptions
Search and seizure exceptions There are several exceptions to the principles of search and seizure. The
plain view doctrine is an exception where evidence that is visible during a police search, even without
a warrant, may be seized. This may be used in situations where a crime is in progress and an officer
enters a residence. Any item within plain view that may be illegal will fall within this exception. It
may also be used during a traffic stop. However, this exception is allowable only for instances when
an officer sees the evidence while also having a legal right to be in the viewing area (Schmalleger,
2014, p. 133). Although, one important case from the Supreme Court, Harris v. United States (1968)
involved an officer who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This exception comes into play when an officer either conducts a search and/or seizes property based
on the belief that it is within a lawful situation. However, it may later be determined that the search
warrant may be ruled as illegal. If the officer had perceived the search and seizure was being
conducted with reasonable good faith, an exception can exist to the exclusionary rule (Schmalleger,
2014, p. 131). This was determined in the case of United States v. Leon (1984) when the Supreme
Court determined that the officer had performed due diligence in obtaining a warrant, yet it later
proved to be invalid due to lack of probable cause. Instead of applying the fruits of the poisonous tree
doctrine, the court indicated the officer acted in good faith and that an exception was to be enacted.
Exclusionary rule cases The exclusionary rule, handed down by the Supreme Court in 1914, is a court
made constitutional requirement regarding evidence obtained during search and seizure (Walker
Hemmens, 2010, p. 89). Since it is not specified in the fourth amendment, the court used the
exclusionary rule to allow or exclude evidence according to the rules covering search and seizure. The
case that initially brought forth the exclusionary rule was Weeks v. United States. In this case in 1914,
police entered the house of Fremont Weeks twice in the same day, once by using a key they found on
the property and another time

Ethical Issues Involving The Media
There is an ongoing debate over how important and necessary ethical behavior is in the business
domain. It is arguable due to the advantages and disadvantages that come into to play with every
decision. Some stand on the side of the dispute that ethical behavior may slow down one s rate of
success, but it ensures that success is accomplished morally and justly. On the other hand, some
blatantly argue that ethical behavior is not necessary when one is on the thin line between success and
failure. In other words, this side believes unethical behavior is not a problem when one is in desperate
need of higher achievement. Businesses often display unethical behavior towards their customers
through their advertising in the media, towards their employees through mistreatment, and towards
their investors through bribery. In each topic, the importance of ethical behavior is evident. Ethical
Issues Involving the Media Media advertisements can contain untrue and misleading information
regarding a product. An advertisement for the popular drink known as Vitamin Water has proved to be
unethical and deceptive towards customers. Attempts are being made by the National Consumers
League (NCL) to put an end to the advertisement s claim that Vitamin Water, manufactured by
Glaceau, a small unit of the Coca Cola Company, can replace flu shots. The NCL have requested the

Feudalism Inequalities
After the fall of the Roman Empire, Europe had forsaken its history of empires and republics,
immersing itself into a system built upon inequalities. Feudalism resulted in a consequential hierarchy
in which each level had a role that directly benefitted the entire society. Not only enforced by the
people, feudalism was enforced by their religion of Christianity; the Medieval Church advocating for
the belief that humanity was born unequal, kings justly superior to peasants, a reminder for every
individual to know their place. King John, a man whose desires for power led to his own ruin, would

Feudalism, an order which had arisen from the urge for strength through possessions and status, had
been founded by the desires of those in power, who had taken advantage of the needs of the weak,
creating the system which had dominated Medieval Europe for centuries. Developing due to the kings
inabilities to hold and protect their lands, there was no dominant political power or effective central
leadership within feudalism no state or empire. Unlike the ancient civilizations of old, political
decisions and economics were controlled primarily by local leaders, who commanded private military
forces of their own power (Smith). The word feudalism originates from feudum, the medieval Latin
word for fief, or possession. Feudalism emerged in the middle of the 9th century, peaking in the 12th
and 13th centuries (King 25). The social hierarchy which rose in consequence of the very being of
feudalism was one in which those born within the Middle Ages were born into a permanent position in
society, unable to defy the fate which had been believed to be given to them, as they believed they

Gender Roles in Great Expectations
The importance of the Victorian ideal of motherhood is glimpsed in Charles Dickens s personal life.
Dickens s main complaint against his wife when he separated from her was her terrible parenting.
Around the time that his separation from his wife was being finalized, Dickens complains of Catherine
in a letter to his friend Angela Burdett Coutts: She does not and never did care for the children; and
the children do not and they never did care for her (qtd. in Slater 146). From evidence in other letters
and the seeming abruptness with which Dickens took on this point of view, Dickens biographer

From the writing on his gravestone, Pip perceives his father as square, stout, dark man, with curly
black hair (23; ch. 1). Similarly, Pip reports Mrs. Joe as having black hair and eyes (28; ch. 1).Pip
infers his mother s appearance from her gravestone as well: from the turn of the inscription ... I drew a
childish conclusion that my mother was freckled and sickly (23; ch. 1). Joe, although not freckled, has
light skin with features far more feminine than Mrs. Joe s: Joe was a fair man, with curls of flaxen hair

who is described in terms similar to Pip s deceased father.
Mrs. Joe is described in some masculine ways, but her behavior is the most significant indicator of her
desire not to be trapped in the traditional feminine domestic role. Mrs. Joe s emotional distance from
her family is exemplified in the apron that she wears: she almost always wore a coarse apron ... having
a square impregnable bib in front, that was stuck full of pins and needles (28; ch. 2). Dickens use of
the word impregnable evinces many non maternal associations

States history.
c. This selected activity would work well for this content because it will allow the students to explore
different areas of a topic to help finish the puzzle. My thoughts are that this would be an ongoing
project that might take several days, weeks, or even the entire year as the students explore United
States history. My vision for this activity is to use puzzle pieces that are color coded. One specific
color for who, what, where, when, why, and how. The start of any puzzle column could be any color
and will be created by either the teacher or the student. The students and teachers will then finish the
puzzle column with as many different puzzle colors that are possible that will help to explain the
original puzzle piece. For instance, I might start with a who puzzle piece with the name Rosa Parks.
The students would then search that person to find how further information to place on connecting
color coded puzzle pieces. Another start might be a what with Stamp Act written on it. The students
would then find out further information to finish the puzzle. Each column of the puzzle pieces would

of her emotions, the subtlety of her thought, and the fullness of her character that no one else in the

She falls in love with Orlando. She runs away to the Ardenne forest after she banished by her uncle

My Love In A Short Story
Greta always fun such joy in spending time with the Prince that she had become so fond of over the
time. He was so kind and was much more than a girl like he would ever deserve. She always thought
very highly of the Prince, but there were many hardships along with the wonderful memories that they
had together. The Prince and Greta created so many little memories together over the years that they
had together. Greta had grown to be so in love with this man that it was only thing that was on her
mind most of the time. They loved to sing together, even if they were both a little off key most of the
time (all of the time). Greta felt so carefree and happy around him. They would go and play in little
play grounds that the villages had whenever they could find one. Greta especially loved when they
would be cuddling watching a play in the Prince s castle, and he would write cute love letters on her
back. He would rub her back to make her as comfortable as possible. The magnificent Prince would
hold her tight against his chest to assure her that he would always be there to love her. Greta always
felt her worries melt away when the Prince was with her. One of Greta s favorites was when the Prince
would lean down and gently kiss her on the forehead. It reminded her of the gentleness that she had
first fallen in love with, and assured her that it wasn t going anywhere. The love that they had was
endless and wonderful. The Prince would take Greta by the hand, and dance with her in

Huge riots were caused by the hunger for independence by the people of Congo. The Belgian
authorities prohibited a political/cultural party named ABAKO which was slowly gaining power in the
lower part of Congo. This led to riots for a span of three days and the Belgian government announced
that they would put more Congolese into the government (for moderate nationalists) at a small scale in
hopes of satisfying the demands. (Made a promise of eventual independence to extreme nationalists).
But suddenly there was a surge of political activity. The nationalist s demand soon grew as fifty
political parties were registered competing and Belgian Congo was beyond control of the Belgian
administration.
* When did _________ (your country) achieve independence? Who ended up in power? (Transition)
A: The Republic of Congo achieved independence on June 30, 1960. From January 18 27, 1960, an
event known as the The Roundtable Conference was held in Brussels. Different Congolese parties
attended the meeting to discuss the transition into independence. There were two pivotal leaders,
Joseph Kasa Vubu as President and Patrice Lumumba as Prime Minister.
To what extent were problems facing newly independent countries a legacy of colonial rule? * What
was the condition of the country upon independence? (Identify problems)

Origin of Hindu Religion
A Hindu ( pronunciation (help·info), Devanagari: हिन्दु) is an adherent of Hinduism, a set of religious,
philosophical and cultural systems that originated in the Indian subcontinent. The vast body of Hindu
scriptures, divided into Śruti ( revealed ) and Smriti ( remembered ), lay the foundation of Hindu
beliefs, which primarily include dhárma, kárma, ahimsa and saṃsāra. Vedānta and yoga are one of the
several core schools of Hindu philosophy, broadly known as the Sanātana Dharma. The word Hindu is
at times attributed to all persons professing Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism or Sikhism as is used in the

The early medieval Puranas helped establish a religious mainstream among the pre literate tribal
societies undergoing acculturation. The tenets of Brahmanic Hinduism and of the Dharmashastras
underwent a radical transformation at the hands of the Purana composers, resulting in the rise of a
mainstream Hinduism that overshadowed all earlier traditions.[14]
Though Islam came to India in the early 7th century with the advent of Arab traders and the conquest
of Sindh, it started to become a major religion during the later Muslim conquest in the Indian
subcontinent.[12] During this period Buddhism declined rapidly and many Hindus converted to Islam.
Numerous Muslim rulers such as Aurangzeb destroyed Hindu temples and persecuted non Muslims;
however some, such as Akbar, were more tolerant. Hinduism underwent profound changes, in large
part due to the influence of the prominent teachers Ramanuja, Madhva, and Chaitanya.[12] Followers
of the Bhakti movement moved away from the abstract concept of Brahman, which the philosopher
Adi Shankara consolidated a few centuries before, with emotional, passionate devotion towards the
more accessible avatars, especially Krishna and Rama.[15]

The organizational culture and subcultures within a business determines, to a larger extent, how the

The case of Lincoln Electric Company is an interesting one, starting from the very early beginnings
when the company was run by the brothers, the original founder John Lincoln who decided to
concentrate on inventions and R D side of things, who handed the helm over to his brother, James
Lincoln. The management system and underlying philosophy at Lincoln can be characterized by
clarity and commitment. The system was instituted with clear priority and purpose and the
management had confidence and courage to commit to the decisions they made. The order of priority,
namely customers first, employees next and stockholders last, makes any subsequent decision making
simple. The values that founded this order of priority, as well as benefits provided to each of these
categories, are based on Christian values, but the empathetic approach that results is most certainly
beneficial to anyone in any of these categories. The caring attitude and evident sincerity that was
demonstrated by actual implementations not only convinced all those concerned that these were not

In the image, the author uses lots of specific examples to show the sources and uses of radiation
frequency in human daily life, such as mobile phones, TV Broadcast and wireless Data. By using
things, which people are familiar with, to explain how different intensities of radiation work and how
strong they are, this method makes scientific things to be easily understand by readers and raise
readers emotional responses according to their own using experience. Appeal to pathos, the sense of
familiarity causes people to connect the image information to their own experiences and be more

most people use cell phone frequently in their daily life. The idea of there is no threat [2] emphasis

The Value Pricing Strategy Of Marketing
The value pricing strategy, in marketing is essentially a business strategy utilized in companies to set
prices and promote products based on how much benefit and usefulness customers identify a product,
good, or service to have (Thibodeaux, 2016). Furthermore, value pricing strategy is a concept of
determining a price that captures a greater portion of customers and what they are willing to pay for
that product or service. Moreover, it s how customers base their decisions when they intentionally
think about which product to purchase. Likewise, this strategy employs the buyer s knowledge,
attitude, and viewpoint of monetary worth and not the actual seller s cost as the key aspect of pricing.
Therefore, when utilizing value pricing strategy, it is essential to use the buyer s perception of value
(Marketing Insider, 2016). Customer value based pricing is setting a price based on buyers perceptions
of value and in addition, a price must be set ahead of time within the marketing timetable before it is
welcomed by customers versus setting the price of the product after the product is already designed
and implemented.
A good marketing strategy considers each of the four key elements of the marketing program which
include product, price, distribution, and promotion rather than fully emphasizing on a single element
(Ferrell Hartline, 2014, p. 149). Another important aspect to this strategy is that a company can
significantly lack if they develop a standout product

The Importance Of Christopher Columbus Day
Christopher Columbus is the reason many Native Americans lost their land, and even their lives, so
why is Columbus Day a national holiday in the United States. This has been a common argument for
people who disagree with the celebration of Christopher Columbus. Many people believe the United
States should celebrate Indigenous People s Day opposed to Columbus day. Their idea that Native
Americans should be celebrated is a logical argument. Native Americans were in fact the first known
residents of the United States. However, Christopher Columbus bravery and resiliency should not be
forgotten. Columbus made an incredible discovery and opened many doors of opportunity for his
people and many others. For this reason, Columbus Day should continue to be a holiday that is
celebrated by the citizens of the United States. Columbus Day has been celebrated in the United States
for almost 150 years. It began in San Francisco in 1869 by a group of Italian Americans (Mai Duc).
Christopher Columbus was an Italian explorer, so it was not surprising that Italian Americans devoted
a day to his memory. Columbus discovery allowed Italians to conquer and inhabit a new, luxurious
territory. It was intriguing, but not shocking that the rest of the United States adopted Columbus Day
as a national holiday. It was in 1937 when the United States declared Columbus Day as a national
holiday (Segarra). This holiday is a remembrance of Christopher Columbus, his inspiring voyage, and
ultimately his

Sir Its Worth Dying To Be Free Analysis
Tim Meeker concludes the epilogue with, But somehow, even fifty years later, I keep thinking that
there might have been another way, besides war, to achieve the same end (Collier and Collier 211).
Fifty years after the war, Meeker reflects on his life during the Revolutionary War with Britain and the
American colonies. He has been torn between the sides of war, fought with family, experienced deaths
of loved ones, and other conflicts the war has brought him. Authors James Lincoln Collier and
Christopher Collier express Meeker s troubles and thoughts along with lessons that the war has taught
him. Tim learned from the way war affected him that war is futile.

fighting for the Patriots. Sam stated, Sir, it s worth dying to be free (Collier and Collier 6). Father

Loss Of Innocence
Loss of Innocence
At the first glance at the poem, The Chimney Sweeper by William Blake, it seems to be about the
mistreatment of children, owever, after more in depth reading it proves to show much more than that.
Blake s poem is about loss of innocence, death, exploitation, and oppression for unwanted children
(Heath, S, 2011). By cleverly describing the deplorable livings conditions, the horrible treatment, the
dreams of a better life with a father who loves them and the fear of an inevitable death, Blake
masterfully allows the reader to see through the sad eyes of a chimney sweep child.
Emotion Evoking
In the poem The Chimney Sweeper , Blake narrates using detailed imagery throughout this poem. The
opening line states When my mother died I was very young/And my father sold me while yet my

As Blake is narrating, the feeling sadness in his words is demonstrated as he says, When my mother
died I was young/And my father sold me while yet my tongue/Could scarcely cry weep! weep! weep!
(1 2). There is sharpness in the words because children are being used and caused an early death. The
title is The Chimney Sweeper singular, but it means chimney sweepers as a whole. Tom Dacre is the
voice for all chimney sweep children. The images of many small helpless children covered in soot
create an image that is heartbreaking and angers the reader. Blake s tone is matter of fact with no child
like understanding or compassion. There is only one simile included in the poem, which is Tom s hair
that is comparing it to lamb s hair. There is an underlining statement by Blake that has a bit of sarcasm
in it when he says, If he s be a good boy , as to imply he was bad if he did not perform properly. There
is a rhyme to this poem similar to a nursery rhyme, which adds to the loss of innocence of

Eisenhower believed that if the United States didn t step to the aid of the South Vietnamese, they

King Leopoldto Imperialism
During late 1880s, King Leopold the II of Belgium began the colonization of the then largely
unexplored Congo Basin. The main characteristics of colonialism can be examined by discussing
Belgian expansionism through King Leopold s Congo. It is not the main events or the most influential
world leaders at this period in history that I wish to consider. Rather, analyzing the nature of Belgian
colonialism through the colonization of the Congo. In particular, I will focus on three main issues: (1)
the political motives; (2) the cultural values; and (3) economic upheaval. From the beginning of his
rule of Belgium in 1831, King Leopold I had a desire to gain power and prestige, as well as compete
with other countries. After an unsuccessful search ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition to a desire to compete with other countries during the land grab, King Leopold also had a
desire to make money and expand foreign trade. During this time Europeans wanted to acquire raw
materials and cheap labor, both of which Africa supplied. Leopold was now faced with financial issues
he had secured much of the land through excessive spending, but in order to take advantage of the
trade opportunities he had to find more funding. In order to secure funds for the continuation of his
colonization, King Leopold approached the Belgian Parliament. He promised Parliament that if they
gave him a loan, he would leave the Congo to the government in his will. Leopold managed to get the
loan the basis of his philanthropic work. This enabled him to take advantage of the trade within the
Congo. Belgium now had the monopoly on the rubber trade, but it came with a price. The human toll
that the rubber industry had on the Congo devastated the population. Despite the economic benefits
that the Congo had for the country of Belgium specifically Leopold, it was short lived. Eventually, the
rest of the world would slowly become aware of the atrocities of Leopold s Congo. The economic
upheaval that the events of the Congo caused within Belgium and the rest of the countries involved (as

Random Acts Of Kindness
For the past thirty days, random acts of kindness were experimented at Galion s track and field. The
purpose of this experiment was to boost the confidence of my fellow track members, in hopes of them
to feel and perform better. The group of people I interacted with were mainly male and females aging
between 15 and 19. The females were most likely to respond verbally by saying thank you. The males
mostly gave facial expressions or did not say anything at all. After awhile, I started to notice that these
RAK s were commencing a domino effect. This domino effect is supported by Durkheim s collective
conscious concept. I also noticed that the peers began to perform better during track meets. The use of
soft skills were a key factor in this experiment. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During this time period, a habit can be added or subtracted from one s lifestyle (Cutts, 2011). I am
pleased to announce that the habit of random acts of kindness is one that I now possess. After doing
RAK s for an experiment, I began to notice that these RAK s were becoming more of a natural
routine, not something that I was purposely doing for data. With this becoming a habit, I have helped
create a positive atmosphere at Galion s track and field. For instance, on April 4, I was cheering on
Marisa as she high jumped. I told her encouraging words when she did not jump to her satisfaction.
She repeated my actions towards her by doing the same thing to other high jumpers. The people on the
track team were beginning to develop a sense of natural optimism passed around by others,
unconsciously. By performing these RAK s, I feel that I have initiated social change. Gilmore (2007),
states that there is untapped potential in even the smallest good deed and it can have a multiplier effect
strong enough to change the world (p.133). This quote of hers is true within the experiment that I have
been practicing. The small RAK s I have been doing for my fellow track members are being passed on
to others around the track and field. If these students continue to do so, we can eliminate the
negativity, thus making the world a better

  • 2. What Is The Ambitious Military Plan In 1914 In the year of 1914, German decided to put into practice one of the most ambitious military plan in the history of Europe. This compound has a carbonate ion, which has a charge of 2 and a calcium ion, which has a charge of +2. Calcium carbonate has a few forms including chalk and limestone. The main use of these two materials is in the making of concrete, which is used for many things including buildings. The rate of the reaction is the speed that the reaction takes place; therefore, by measuring the rate, the amount of time the reaction takes will be measured. Hydrochloric acid is a stronger acid that is found in digestive juices in the human stomach and is also used for cleaning metals before they are coated. When you mix a strong acid like HCl with any carbonate you will have a chemical reaction in which CO2 gas is released. This means that it will fizz indicating a chemical reaction. These two elements can react with hydrochloric acid to yield carbon dioxide, calcium chloride and water. • 4. Riley V. California Case Riley v. California is a Supreme Court case that pertains to the Fourth Amendment; specifically, the privacy clause. This case was decided by the Court in 2014 with a unanimous decision for Riley. It came to the Court after the petitioner, Riley, was stopped for a traffic violation and then arrested on a weapons charge. The arresting officer proceeded to search Riley and removed a cell phone from his pocket. After accessing the phone the officer found evidence of gang related activity. The officer took Riley back to the station and a detective that specialized in gang related crime went through the phone and found multiple pictures and videos pertaining to a shooting a few weeks prior. They sought to enhance the charges due to the evidence found on his phone that connected him to the gangs. Riley moved to suppress the evidence that was discovered on his phone; the trial court denied the motion and the Court of Appeals affirmed. A number of interests groups appeared as amici in this case including: EPIC, American Civil Liberties Union, Cato Institute, DKT Liberty Project, Constitutional Accountability Center amongst others submitted briefs in support of the petitioner. In Africa and in Nigerian cultures especially, they are considered the reliable horses, which convey meanings to their destinations or hearts of the listeners. This study investigates aspects of the meaning of proverbs in the work of a Nigerian author, Achebe s Things Fall Apart. It is contended that meanings of Nigerian proverbs can be worked out within the semantic, referential, ideational, stimulus response, realist and contextual theories. Types of meaning and proverbs are addressed and situated within the two works. It is advanced that proverbs play significant roles in clarifying, exemplifying, underscoring and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Theory: Stimulus Response Types: Denotative, Affective. Analysis: There is a tact advice almost coinciding with the English proverb, one good turn deserves another here. If a person accords honor or reverence to the successful ones, it is likely that he is also going to be successful. In other words, the sense of the proverb is that a person who helps another man helps himself indirectly as he gets familiar with what that man engages in and this will ultimately lead him also to greatness, directly or indirectly. 5 A toad does not run in the daytime for nothing.15 Theory: Ideational Types: Denotative/Stylistic Analysis: The proverb tasks our mental conception or general knowledge of the toad as a nocturnal animal. If such an animal therefore does run (a lexical item preferred by the author for metaphorical or stylistic effect, against the normal collocative word, jump ) in the day, there must be something amiss. The sense of the proverb is that there is a cause for anything strange that happens; there must be a reason, at least no smoke without fire . A toad running in daytime is probably pursuing something or certainly something is pursuing it. It has to do with the cause effect relationship. An old woman is always uneasy when dry bones are mentioned in a proverb.p.15 Theory: Stimulus Response Types: Denotative/Thematic Analysis: This proverb also exhibits causes effect ... • 7. The Murder Of The Manson Family By Timothy Dwight A murderer is normally defined by the psychological attributes that define him or her. These killers often suffer from a psychotic delusion that forces them to commit their horrific crimes. However, those who are pronounced sane and rational have a moral conviction that drives them to kill. It is this principle that separates the average murder from the psychotic sadists that believes in what he or she does. Charles Manson, leader of the Manson Family, believed in the apocalyptic war of Helter Skelter, the uprising of blacks and the mass genocide of whites (Whitehead). Manson s firm conviction about Helter Skelter separates him from other criminals who commit their crimes out of insanity. In Travels in New England and New York, author ... However, he possessed a demonical side, the love for the life of crime. Although the Beadle and Loeb and Leopold lived in different eras, the attributes that define the murderers are still the same. Whereas Loeb and Leopold focus on a philosophical conundrum, Beadle is faced with a moral conundrum. These muscles pull the sternum up and increase the size of the upper rib cage in the AP dimension, sometimes taught as pump handle elevation. These accessory muscles are affected by the position of the diaphragm and changes in the ZOA.10Kyndy The diaphragm displaces the abdomen and the rib cage equally during quiet breathing. Similarities Between Jainism And Buddhism Jainism and Buddhism share some common ground and similarities in their beliefs and practices, and they also have features that make them unique and distinctively different from the other. Some of the central similarities of Jainism and Buddhism can be found in when and where their traditions originated, resemblances in their primary teachers, their religious goals, nonbelief in a creator, and their values of nonattachment and nonviolence. Some differences between Jainism and Buddhism are found in their karmic principles and the conception of the soul. There seems to be more parallels shared between Jainism and Buddhism than discrepancies. Jainism s and Buddhism s main teachers of the practices also share some similarities. Although the Jain teachings did not originate with him, Mahavira, known as The Great Hero, was the major teacher of the Jain path. Around the same time in the 5th century BCE, Siddhartha Gautama was teaching another path which would come to be known as Buddhism. These two teachers were each a prince of a Kshatriya clan and both renounced his position of wealth at around the same age: Mahavira was 30, and Siddhartha Gautama was 29. This was determined in the case of United States v. In the image, the author uses lots of specific examples to show the sources and uses of radiation frequency in human daily life, such as mobile phones, TV Broadcast and wireless Data. By using things, which people are familiar with, to explain how different intensities of radiation work and how strong they are, this method makes scientific things to be easily understand by readers and raise readers emotional responses according to their own using experience. Appeal to pathos, the sense of familiarity causes people to connect the image information to their own experiences and be more interested about the author s idea. Especially, cell phone radiation using is a public concern because most people use cell phone frequently in their daily life. • 31. The Value Pricing Strategy Of Marketing The value pricing strategy, in marketing is essentially a business strategy utilized in companies to set prices and promote products based on how much benefit and usefulness customers identify a product, good, or service to have (Thibodeaux, 2016). Furthermore, value pricing strategy is a concept of determining a price that captures a greater portion of customers and what they are willing to pay for that product or service. Moreover, it s how customers base their decisions when they intentionally think about which product to purchase. Likewise, this strategy employs the buyer s knowledge, attitude, and viewpoint of monetary worth and not the actual seller s cost as the key aspect of pricing. Therefore, when utilizing value pricing strategy, it is essential to use the buyer s perception of value (Marketing Insider, 2016). Customer value based pricing is setting a price based on buyers perceptions of value and in addition, a price must be set ahead of time within the marketing timetable before it is welcomed by customers versus setting the price of the product after the product is already designed and implemented. A good marketing strategy considers each of the four key elements of the marketing program which include product, price, distribution, and promotion rather than fully emphasizing on a single element (Ferrell Hartline, 2014, p. 149). Another important aspect to this strategy is that a company can significantly lack if they develop a standout product ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. The Importance Of Christopher Columbus Day Christopher Columbus is the reason many Native Americans lost their land, and even their lives, so why is Columbus Day a national holiday in the United States. This has been a common argument for people who disagree with the celebration of Christopher Columbus. Many people believe the United States should celebrate Indigenous People s Day opposed to Columbus day. Their idea that Native Americans should be celebrated is a logical argument. Native Americans were in fact the first known residents of the United States. However, Christopher Columbus bravery and resiliency should not be forgotten. Columbus made an incredible discovery and opened many doors of opportunity for his people and many others. For this reason, Columbus Day should continue to be a holiday that is celebrated by the citizens of the United States. Columbus Day has been celebrated in the United States for almost 150 years. It began in San Francisco in 1869 by a group of Italian Americans (Mai Duc). Christopher Columbus was an Italian explorer, so it was not surprising that Italian Americans devoted a day to his memory. Columbus discovery allowed Italians to conquer and inhabit a new, luxurious territory. It was intriguing, but not shocking that the rest of the United States adopted Columbus Day as a national holiday. It was in 1937 when the United States declared Columbus Day as a national holiday (Segarra). This holiday is a remembrance of Christopher Columbus, his inspiring voyage, and ultimately his ... • 33. Sir Its Worth Dying To Be Free Analysis Tim Meeker concludes the epilogue with, But somehow, even fifty years later, I keep thinking that there might have been another way, besides war, to achieve the same end (Collier and Collier 211). Fifty years after the war, Meeker reflects on his life during the Revolutionary War with Britain and the American colonies. He has been torn between the sides of war, fought with family, experienced deaths of loved ones, and other conflicts the war has brought him. Authors James Lincoln Collier and Christopher Collier express Meeker s troubles and thoughts along with lessons that the war has taught him. Tim learned from the way war affected him that war is futile. • 34. Loss Of Innocence Loss of Innocence At the first glance at the poem, The Chimney Sweeper by William Blake, it seems to be about the mistreatment of children, owever, after more in depth reading it proves to show much more than that. Blake s poem is about loss of innocence, death, exploitation, and oppression for unwanted children (Heath, S, 2011). By cleverly describing the deplorable livings conditions, the horrible treatment, the dreams of a better life with a father who loves them and the fear of an inevitable death, Blake masterfully allows the reader to see through the sad eyes of a chimney sweep child. Emotion Evoking In the poem The Chimney Sweeper , Blake narrates using detailed imagery throughout this poem. As Blake is narrating, the feeling sadness in his words is demonstrated as he says, When my mother died I was young/And my father sold me while yet my tongue/Could scarcely cry weep! weep! weep! (1 2). There is sharpness in the words because children are being used and caused an early death. The title is The Chimney Sweeper singular, but it means chimney sweepers as a whole. Tom Dacre is the voice for all chimney sweep children. The images of many small helpless children covered in soot create an image that is heartbreaking and angers the reader. Blake s tone is matter of fact with no child like understanding or compassion. There is only one simile included in the poem, which is Tom s hair that is comparing it to lamb s hair. There is an underlining statement by Blake that has a bit of sarcasm in it when he says, If he s be a good boy , as to imply he was bad if he did not perform properly. There is a rhyme to this poem similar to a nursery rhyme, which adds to the loss of innocence of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. King Leopoldto Imperialism During late 1880s, King Leopold the II of Belgium began the colonization of the then largely unexplored Congo Basin. The main characteristics of colonialism can be examined by discussing Belgian expansionism through King Leopold s Congo. It is not the main events or the most influential world leaders at this period in history that I wish to consider. Rather, analyzing the nature of Belgian colonialism through the colonization of the Congo. In particular, I will focus on three main issues: (1) the political motives; (2) the cultural values; and (3) economic upheaval. From the beginning of his rule of Belgium in 1831, King Leopold I had a desire to gain power and prestige, as well as compete with other countries. After an unsuccessful search ... During this time Europeans wanted to acquire raw materials and cheap labor, both of which Africa supplied. Leopold was now faced with financial issues he had secured much of the land through excessive spending, but in order to take advantage of the trade opportunities he had to find more funding. In order to secure funds for the continuation of his colonization, King Leopold approached the Belgian Parliament. He promised Parliament that if they gave him a loan, he would leave the Congo to the government in his will. Leopold managed to get the loan the basis of his philanthropic work. This enabled him to take advantage of the trade within the Congo. Belgium now had the monopoly on the rubber trade, but it came with a price. The human toll that the rubber industry had on the Congo devastated the population. Despite the economic benefits that the Congo had for the country of Belgium specifically Leopold, it was short lived. Eventually, the rest of the world would slowly become aware of the atrocities of Leopold s Congo. • 38. Random Acts Of Kindness For the past thirty days, random acts of kindness were experimented at Galion s track and field. The purpose of this experiment was to boost the confidence of my fellow track members, in hopes of them to feel and perform better. The group of people I interacted with were mainly male and females aging between 15 and 19. The females were most likely to respond verbally by saying thank you. The males mostly gave facial expressions or did not say anything at all. After awhile, I started to notice that these RAK s were commencing a domino effect. This domino effect is supported by Durkheim s collective conscious concept. I also noticed that the peers began to perform better during track meets. During this time period, a habit can be added or subtracted from one s lifestyle (Cutts, 2011). I am pleased to announce that the habit of random acts of kindness is one that I now possess. After doing RAK s for an experiment, I began to notice that these RAK s were becoming more of a natural routine, not something that I was purposely doing for data. With this becoming a habit, I have helped create a positive atmosphere at Galion s track and field. For instance, on April 4, I was cheering on Marisa as she high jumped. I told her encouraging words when she did not jump to her satisfaction. She repeated my actions towards her by doing the same thing to other high jumpers. The people on the track team were beginning to develop a sense of natural optimism passed around by others, unconsciously. By performing these RAK s, I feel that I have initiated social change. Gilmore (2007), states that there is untapped potential in even the smallest good deed and it can have a multiplier effect strong enough to change the world (p.133). This quote of hers is true within the experiment that I have been practicing. The small RAK s I have been doing for my fellow track members are being passed on to others around the track and field.
