This Memo Services As An Evaluation Of Team Vitamin C’S
This memo services as an evaluation of team Vitamin C s individual member contributions and
performance while drafting a Team Analytical Report (TAR).
During week three of the course, the instructor assigned Nate Couturier, Shae Foster, Edward Sereno
and myself to team Vitamin C and tasked us with drafting Individual Research Proposals (IRP s) on a
topic that would later be the basis for our final project. I chose to make my proposal about flexible
work schedules and how companies and employees can both benefit from them. After the instructor
approved our IRPs, we were to post them on the group s discussion board so that as a team, we could
decide the best topic for the Team Analytical Report (TAR). The next step of the project was ... Show

He agreed with the decisions that had been made in his absence, approved and signed the CPPs.
Edward Sereno never responded to any of the group posts but eventually signed the contracts.
As the project progressed, Edward remained elusive, never responding to group discussions or emails
from the team leader, but he did occasionally reply to a few emails from Shae. During the week in
which the TAR draft was due, Shae and I agreed that it was in the team s best interest to inform the
instructor of Edward s lack of participation. Only then did he begin to participate more regularly, but
still continued to miss the agreed upon timeline schedule. Because of this Nate, Shae and I always
ended up scrambling to proofread and make any necessary revisions just a few hours before the
submission deadline.
Edward was responsible for the abstract, introduction and conclusion sections of the report. His
contributions revealed a lack of research and were completed at the last minute. As the time
management expert, he failed this duty. For any future team projects that Edward might be involved
in, I would suggest that he adequately research the topic, participate actively in group discussions and
make the necessary personal schedule changes to stay on schedule with the agreed upon timeline.
Nate Couturier was absent during the first week of the project, but as I explained earlier, he had an
acceptable reason for that. Going forward, he was

What Are The Causes Of The Great War
The Great War started in 1914. There were many causes during WWI. Mural defense alliances,
Imperialism, Nationalism, and the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The United States
desired to remain neutral to stay out of the war. The central powers were against the allied powers.
The central powers were Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria, and the Ottoman Empire. The allied powers
were Serbia, Russia, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Belgium and the United States. The United
Stated decided to stay neutral at the beginning of WWI. They will gain a relationship with Grate
Britain and France. A lot of Americans wanted to stay isolated from Europe. Isolated means far away
from other places. American compiles sold war supplies to their allies:

Body Blows Are Parr
In the article titled, Body blows are par for course, but racist boos hit soul deep written by Robert
Murphy, Murphy contends AFL fans and opposition supporters should stop booing Adam Goodes and
yelling out racist remarks from the stands. Murphy aims this article at those against Adam Goodes and
those who are involved or might be tempted to join in the racial vilification. Firstly, Murphy argues
that while football players train for physical injuries, nobody can prepare to receive that kind of
emotional abuse. Secondly, he believes that when it comes to the game itself, Adam Goodes is one of
the best players of his generation and a hero. Lastly, he compares and points out the similarities
between Muhammad Ali and Adam Goodes, how they both were respected by their fellow athletes and
how they are both fighters.
Firstly, Murphy argues that most football players get used to the physical elements of football, but
struggle to get used to the mental elements. Murphy employs imagery in the phrase take a hit to
describe how footballers prepare for a game. He points ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Eye Of The Needle
The Eye of the Needle
The Eye of the Needle was always an iconic place along the Missouri until May 1997 when it
collapsed under suspicious circumstances. On the expedition of Lewis and Clark, the White Cliffs of
Montana was a signature site described by Lewis. One of the extraordinary landmarks was the Eye of
the Needle, which Meriwether Lewis first described its scenery by comparing its magnificent rock
formations to elegant ranges of lofting freestone buildings, having their parapets well stocked with
statuary (Burns, 1997). This was 1800 s talk, which doesn t make sense to most people nowadays.
Looking at an old picture of the Eye of the Needle that my grandfather took while rafting the
Missouri, I can see the beauty that people raved about.
The rock structure is so perplexing. The arch made up of multiple boulders doesn t look like anything
that nature could ever make naturally. It defies gravity standing on the very top of the rock wall lining
the rushing Missouri. The light grey structure has thousands of crevices that formed themselves from
natural wear and tear over time. 200 feet up, it towers over the Missouri River keeping a watchful eye
on all of the wildlife.
When blogger Chris describes this beautiful place he said,
The Eye of the Needle could be seen a few miles upstream while floating the Missouri River, and
from a distance it appeared to be just that a tiny window allowing some of the sky to shine through.
The structure was only about 11 feet high,

Environmentalists are keen to highlight links between waste management in businesses, global climate

According to waste legislation business must establish a system that ensures waste producers or those

Surrey County Council, 2012) This forces business to consider waste management throughout their

Managers would have needed to assess the supply chain and identify areas where improvements can

Importance of Group Work
Assignment
Introduction
I am Zeeshan Ali; I am working as a Computer teacher for Classes VI X M in Canal Side Boys
Campus. I have done Masters in Computer Science (MCS) from Punjab University College of
Information and Technology (PUCIT) Lahore. The students are the main focus of every teacher and
our entire teaching efforts circle round our students to achieve the set targets. Effective Teaching
includes many useful teaching strategies that a teacher chooses according to the requirement of his/her
respective subject and topic as well. In result of my years of experience and as a Computer teacher I
find Group Work as the most effective and fruitful technique at every level.

Implementation of the Chosen Strategy
Keeping in view the importance of group work I applied the strategy in my comprising of 16 students
to teach them Conversion of Hexadecimal into Binary Number System and Conversion of Binary
Number System into Hexadecimal Number System . The objective of my lesson was to make students
know how to convert an Octal Number into Binary Number System on the board and its practical
implementation. To achieve these objectives I started my lesson with a question answer session to
revise their previous concepts. After the recap session I divided my class into groups of 4 students
each and said them to identify Hexadecimal and Binary digits. Then through exposition I explained
the current topic how to convert a hexadecimal number into binary on the board. For more detail
explanation I solved three related examples on the board interactively. In these examples I involved
students to help me in solving these examples. This was their learning towards the application of
current topics properties. Later I assigned the conversion task to the groups. Each group did its work
and it was the responsibility of the group leader to make sure participation of each member of the
group. The groups prepared their presentation and to give everyone an equal chance presentation was
divided into parts. I kept on observing the groups and encourage the participation of reluctant students
during discussion time. Then every group got a five minutes time to

Causes Of The Malayan Emergency
The Malayan Emergency was a guerrilla war fought in pre and post independence Federation of
Malaya. The main antagonists were the Common Wealth Armed forces on one side and the Malayan
National Liberation Army, and the military arm of the Malayan Communist Party on the other side.
The Common Wealth Forces armed the communist party during their war with the Japanese Army in
the Second World War. The Malayan Emergency was originally the colonial government s term for the
conflict. The rubber plantation and tin mining industries pushed for the use of the term emergency
since their losses would not have been covered by the insurances if they had been termed a war.
During the Malayan Emergency, both the opposition and the Common Wealth Forces had mass
casualties and deaths. In the Malaya Emergency, the Common Wealth Forces applied so many
strategies to defeat their enemies unlike in other wars. Consequently, the applied principles and the
strategies during the war had been plundered by the Western countries. At first, the Common Wealth
Forces used the common ways of dealing the situations. They swept the large areas, captured and
detained in large numbers and, then punished large groups of people. Despite, they could not achieve
so much out of their first move. The outcome of their move led to increase in the insurgent recruitment
by alienating many civilians. The Common Wealth Forces were downcast by the enemies subversion
and the assassination of the Common Wealth

How Mindfulness Can Change Your Life
How Mindfulness Can Change Your Life
Adopted as the latest craze, mindfulness is more than just a passing fad. This meditation technique
stretches back thousands of years in Eastern cultures. While it was once a technique used primarily by
Buddhist monks, modern researchers have discovered some of the immense benefits of being mindful
in every day life.
How Mindfulness Works
At its heart, mindfulness is just a way to pay closer attention to everything that is going on. It focuses
on rooting yourself in the present to notice what is really happening within your mind and body. You
begin to notice the things that are going on around you without judging what is going on. The flowers
grow, your boss gives you a new project and cars drive by just because that is what they do. With this
mind set, you stop judging and are able to just exist within the moment. Instead of allowing yourself
to go into autopilot, you are able to observe your life at a distance.
While practicing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 2011, Harvard University conducted a study. In the trial, the participants had to carry out a
mindfulness program for eight weeks. During this time, the density of the gray matter in their minds
actually increased. In total, there were eight different regions of the mind that were affected.
With a mindfulness practice, the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) is improved, which allows for
greater self regulation, less impulsiveness and better focus. The gray matter in the hippocampus
increases. Since the hippocampus is responsible for emotion, memories, the limbic system and
cortisol, changes in this section of the brain can reduce post traumatic stress disorder, depression and
chronic stress. Interestingly, individuals with low gray matter in the hippocampus are more likely to
have PTSD or depression. Due to this, mindfulness can actually reduce the impact or treat these

The Effect Of Temperature On Our Cognition
Introduction
When a person describes someone, as being warm one understands it as a person who is friendly and
not as someone who is physically warm. Using temperature as a way to describe a person has been
understood as a metaphor, however studies have revealed that there is a connection between the
association of warmth and feelings of social belonging (Ijzerman et al., 2012).
The belief that our physical world has an influence on our cognition is called the embodiment theory
(Chen, Poon Dewell, 2014). In this theory it is believed that our surroundings shape of psychological
feelings (Chen et al., 2014). Hence, why we use temperature as a way to expressing feelings. The
following studies have conducted different types of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Participants were divided into two different groups and would have two different food drink types.
They were then led to a computer where they would play a ball tossing exercise game. The
participants believed that they were playing with two other players online, however the game was
programmed with no real players. One group was only passed the ball twice in 30 throws while the
other group received the ball frequently. Finally, the participants were handed a survey that measured
which foods they desired more and it was found that the socially excluded group desired warm food
(Zhong Leonardelli, 2008).
The following study read these results and hypothesized that perhaps a person feeling a room to be
colder because their body temperature actually becomes colder. This study followed the exact same
procedure as the ball tossing game Zhong and Leonardelli (2008) presented, however the participants
temperature would be recorded this time. For this experiment 41 participants were recruited from VU
University. The participants were also divided into two groups where one would be thrown the ball
only twice and the other an evenly distributed amount of times. A device that was located on their
index finger measured all participants temperature continuously, which along the way revealed that
the participants body temperature went down in the exclusion group (Ijzerman et al., 2012).
From Ijzerman et al.(2012) observations they hypothesized that if warmth was introduced

Snowball from Animal Farm and Leon Trotsky s Roles in the...
My Research Question:
How was the affect of Leon Trotsky and Snowball?
Throughout time, people learned about history from books, websites, articles, and magazines to gain
their understandings of History. Leon Trotsky played an important role in the Russian Revolution and
so did the character of Snowball from the novel Animal Farm. Their life actions had a positive affect
towards history even though their goals were never accomplished.

Snowball believes in a sustained revolution:
He claims that in demand to support and defend Animal Farm and toughen the certainty of Old Major
s dream of a life without humans, mixt up rebellions in other farms throughout England. Napoleon
always disagrees with Snowball s ideas because he doesn t want him to lead Animal Farm.
Snowball is eventually forced out of the farm when Napoleon uses his guard dogs to attack Snowball.
After that, he is blamed for issues of the farm, and it is claimed that he was in support of Mr. Jones at
the beginning. Even though he fought for Mr. Jones and the shorts offends are distorted to wounds
Napoleon perpetrated on him, those faulted of associating him are achieved after being required to
profess, or declare, and a compensation is proposed for his capture.
Snowball is a very imaginative and knowing pig that manipulated others to his side. It is never
revealed of what has happened to him after he escaped, although in the 1950s film adaptation it is
implied that the dogs killed him. Nevertheless, he is shown escaping the dogs and surviving in the
1999 live action film adaptation.
How does Snowball relate to Leon Trotsky?
Built on Leon Trotsky, Snowball is one if the 2 pigs who develop as leaders of the animals after Old
Major dies. Both, Trotsky and Snowball s similarities are both physical and mental for example:
The name Snowball reminds an image of whiteness,

Hunger Games Political
I think The Hunger Games was supposed to make a political message. The movie has the wealthier
people and political leaders in the capital, which would be the rich and political people in our society.
I think the people in the districts represent the common people in our nation. The movie shows how
the upper class does not have to deal with some of the hard times the lower classes have to go through.
An example of this is all the extra food in the capital, but people in the districts were starving and
struggling to find food. The people who lived in the capital kept all of the extra food, even though
there were people who desperately needed it. I think the Hunger Games in the movie are a
representation of how the government subjects people

film that was released in 1920. The film was directed by Robert Wiene. Expressionism is defined as a

Meanwhile, the policeman and Francis are peeping through a box shaped peephole in at the prisoner.
This scene is an example of boxes within boxes because the prisoner is enclosed in a cell and is being
viewed from the exterior of the cell through a peephole. The prisoner is enclosed in the cell, while the
cell is enclosed in the police station. Mise en scène is also present in this scene, with the number five
that is on the wall outside of the cell. It is not a coincidence that it is act five of the film. Additionally,
the walls near the jail cell are distorted. The wall angles look similar to the shape of the peepholes as
well. The boxes within boxes in this scene expresses Francis paranoia and distorted reality. Francis
was worried the prisoner had escaped and attempted to murder Jane, but this was all inside his
distorted reality. Francis distorted reality may also be symbolized in the distorted walls as well. Lastly,
Francis mind contains an example of boxes within boxes because in his mind he sees Dr. Caligari as
the mentally unstable one, but in reality, it is him who is unstable. Furthermore, Francis mind is a box
that is enclosed in delirium, which is enclosed in another box, which is the actual reality. Mise en
scène can be seen when both Dr. Caligari and Francis are both confined to a straitjacket and placed in
a cell at different times in the film. Another example of mise en scène is the movements Dr. Caligari

Edward Cornwallis Statue Analysis
There is no doubt that Edward Cornwallis statue has certain significance. Although the statue has been
around for nearly 100 years, it is still intact. The statue of Cornwallis was created by the Scottish
sculptor J. Massey Rhind and was unveiled at its eponymous park on June 22, 1931. It was considered
the 182nd anniversary of Cornwallis s arrival and watched as the natal day. (Announcement, 1931)
The statue looks attentively to forward, wears a cloak, left hand clenches commanding sword, right
hand holds a cocked hat, bronze figures throughout the mottled with grooves, eyes reveal that strong
ambition and tenacity of one generation leader. The statue has a straight body, burly back symbolize
the courage of Cornwallis and the magnificent imperialism. The statue is located at center of
Cornwallis Park, the fields were lush with grass and flowers, and tall trees are in order, cluster of
dandelion open in the thick grass, the birds singing on the branch, a group of pigeons were pecking at
the crumbs that people spilled on the ground. Many tourists who drove to Halifax were watching the
park and the statue through the window, and they often use the camera to record here. Five clean paths
were staggered between the bright meadows in the park. Some of the entertainment devices such as
swings and slides are built in the park for children to play and exercise. There are often many old
people enjoying the afternoon sun in long deckchairs. It is hard to imagine that there is a lot of

Toyota Unintended Acceleration Case Study
A Case Study on Toyota Unintended Acceleration Toyota s Unintended Acceleration disaster could
have been avoided if the software engineers had practiced proper software development steps.
Numerous lessons, both technical and managerial can be learned from this software catastrophe. Three
crucial lessons include: ensuring the proper implementation of fail safes, adherence to rigorous coding
standards (MISRA C), and minimizing software complexity. The first incident of unwanted
acceleration occurred in 2003. However, this was not reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration (NHTSA) until five years later. And it was not until 2004 that the NHTSA actively
began investigating certain Toyota models. These investigations were eventually deemed inconclusive
due to the lack of resources (rather than actual evidence) to investigate further (Bagnara, 2014). Over
the next three years a series of investigations open up, but once again have been deemed inconclusive
due to lack of administrative resources (Bagnara, 2014). In 2007, the acceleration issues are associated
with faulty floor mats getting caught beneath the pedals causing the vehicle to accelerate
uncontrollable. Toyota begins issuing recalls soon after. Two years later, a fatal accident occurs
involving the death of four people which was again linked to defective floor mats. However, it was
quickly becoming evident that not all the fault can be blamed on floor mats. In 2010, Toyota reveals
that the

variety of educational websites out there to support students from a young age as young as three and

an essential skill and let them practice it that skill in an interactive way. Web sites in the younger

What is Soccer , or Football to you? Is it just a game where people kick the ball into a net? is it just a
European based game? To frankly answer these questions, Dictionary.com defines soccer as, a form of
football played between two teams of 11 players, in which the ball may be advanced by kicking or by
bouncing it off any part of the body but the arms and hands, except in the case of the goalkeepers, who

The Career Leadership As A Foundation For One s Leadership
The Career Leadership Academy (CLA) undoubtedly provides practical, real world knowledge that
can be applied to an extensive range of circumstances. Implementing the lessons taught in the class
can enable students to successfully build and strengthen relationships in the classroom, on the job, and
with friends and family. Not one of the class s concepts is more important than another, which pushes
students to combine what they have learned to better themselves as individuals, leaders, and team

leadership philosophy.

Many philosophies are established during our upbringings, and personal experiences. A family, for
instance, is like a team in many ways. We have to collaborate, encourage, and motivate one another to
strengthen our cohesiveness. The unbelievable bonds formed within a family are naturally created
during a process. As stated from Leadership and Professionalism, collaboration s purpose is to create a
shared vision and joint strategies to address concerns that go beyond the purview of any particular
party (Anderson and Bolt, 2013, p.36). I have found that my experiences with CLA correlate with this
idea. As time progressed, our group began to understand each other, and utilize our strengths to
maximize efficiency. This is because we became more comfortable with each other, learned how to
constructively criticize one another, and developed a productive system. My views on the process
obviously go far beyond my experiences in this class, but the experiences have undoubtedly reassured
my philosophy. The Relational Leadership Model provides many ideas that can guide one s
philosophy about leadership, but there are many other concepts that can equally contribute. At the
beginning of the semester, we took the Clifton s Strength Assessment. Knowing one s strengths can be
very beneficial, especially in a group setting. In my signature themes report, it noted that my five

Rupert Brookes Dulce Et Decorum Est
World War 1 was known as the Great War. Many soldiers fought and many soldiers died. In the soldier
by Rupert Brookes he tries to influence the reader into thinking that going to war is a good thing,
whereas in Dulce et Decorum Est, Wilfred Owens describes war as what it really is. Fear, and horror.
He tries to influence the reader that war is not a good thing and it s not worth risking your life for. In
this essay I will argue how both Brookes and Owens did very good jobs of influencing peoples
opinions on the Great War. Rupert Brookes portrays war as being a great service to your family and

ABSTRACT
Apache Cassandra is another open source distributed database management system developed to
handle large data sets. It is a gift given to the big data users by Facebook in 2008. The purpose of this
research is to highlight the importance of Cassandra in the world of NoSQL by discussing about some
of the main questions like, what are the difficulties faced with the traditional relational database
management systems, how these issues are solved by using NoSQL, how Cassandra came into
existence, why it is used by some of the major organizations to handle their data sets, etc.
In pursuit of finding reasons for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are many NoSQL databases and each either have some common functionalities or have some
unique functionalities when compared to the relational model. The main thing to be considered is that
none of the NoSQL results work for all scenarios. Each works better than the relational models and
satisfies some subsets of the use cases. Apache Cassandra is one of the NoSQL databases which is
most widely used in the industrial market. This article gives a detailed information about Cassandra,
its functionalities, its advantages and disadvantages which seem to be deceptive for someone who look
at Cassandra for the first time.
1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. Difficulties with traditional RDBMS
In the initial stages of evolution of databases, relational databases systems was designed as a solution
to the problems of flat file databases. A relational database stores data in multiple table. This technique
helped to overcome the issues like data duplication, data noise and inconsistency which ensured that
the data is entered and stored only once. Later as the data grew in size, it became a challenging task to
handle such a significantly large amount of data. Key features like high data velocity, data variety,
data volume and data complexity are few important reasons which the traditional database systems
failed to handle successfully. As a result NoSQL came into

Views on Teens Pregnancies Through the Years Essay
The Views on Teens Pregnancies Through the Years
There are many different attributes to teenage pregnancy. The majority of teenagers do not realize the
consequences of their actions. Taking that into consideration the influences of the teens are highly
important during the pre teen stage all the way to adult hood. During the time of this impressionable
stage many of the teens are having sex not because of love, but because it is a trend. The media is
glamorizing teen pregnancy and leading to a cultural shift. Around the world teenage pregnancy has
been an issue. Many of the teen mothers are between 15 and 19. There have been a variety of attempts
to provide a decline in teenage pregnancy such as: abstinence groups, the Federal Government, ...

Not only does the media influence young women, but their home life has huge impact too. Most
children learn by watching an adult around them and there is their influence. Therefore the media is
not the only one to blame for teenage pregnancy. There are many people and things that can be
blamed, however, there is a root to the problem. Not only is it teenage pregnancy impacting teens; but
it impacts everyone around them. In the United States taxpayers pay around $11 billion on teen
pregnancies a year because of someone else s mistake( Editorial: Brings Blessings). In America there
are many births in a year affecting many people around the nation. Since 1996 abstinence programs
have collected over $1 billion in federal funding. Many people blame the abstinence programs for
higher birth rates. People believe that teens should have sex education in order to protect them from
teen pregnancy(Gulli 40). There goes more money from the government toward teenage pregnancy. It
is believed that abstinence programs are not the solution to preventing teen pregnancy, however,
people would like too see more sex education being taught to young impressionable kids. This show
that the Christian view of abstinence is not the popular solution that people choose, but being educated
and being taught about sex is a better approach. In todays society there has been a cultural shift in
beliefs and morals. Many girls are having sex simply because of the words I love

Change Management Plan
Running head: CHANGE MANAGEMENT PLAN
Building a Culture for Sustaining Change at CrysTel
Student Name
University of Phoenix
Introduction
A reliable change management plan is often required to overcome workplace resistance when
employees are presented with a new way of doing things. Change management is a strategy designed
to transition from the status quo to some new ideal way of doing business. CrysTel, a growing
telecommunications company, finds itself in a very dynamic industry that along with frequent
advances in technology will dictate that it adapt to rapid and persistent changes. Developing a
successful change management plan for CrysTel will have three distinct goals: optimize flexibility,
promote innovation, and sustain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Regular feedback and proactive counseling help to effectively close information gaps between
employees. The Marketing department suffers most from performance feedback at CrysTel. They do
not have a strong mentoring process in place and there is an issue with delegation of responsibility
here. 360 Degree Feedback provides accurate performance feedback to staff members who receive
feedback from a boss, coworkers, and direct reporting staff. Done appropriately, it can boost
performance and provide recognition and motivation (Debare, 1997). Because feedback is intimately
related to the goal setting process, it involves the same behavioral outcomes: direction, effort, and
persistence (Kreitner, 2003).
Employees of Technology Development department at CrysTel are encouraged to approach a conflict
resolution committee to address unresolved conflicts. Conversely, the Sales and Delivery department
only allows conflicts or issues to be raised only during the semi annual performance review. This was
indicative of a lower score than the other departments in this area on the climate survey.
Multifunctional roles carried out by members of this department causes overlapping efforts and
undefined responsibilities. Inadequate communication and teamwork make conflict resolution
difficult. Problem solving is the only style that represents a purely win–win orientation (McShane,
2004). Problem solving tries to find a mutually beneficial solution for both

John F Kennedy Inaugural Address Summary
John F. Kennedy s Inaugural address
John F. Kennedy s Inaugural address. January 20, 1961. This document was written and presented
during a time that East and West Berlin became East and West Berlin separated by the Berlin wall,a
time when Freedom writers challenged segregation, and when the Soviets had their first man to fly in
space. John F. Kennedy was just to be inagurated as the 35th president of the United States of
America.
This document clearly states of all Kennedy desired to achieve for the United States. He makes the
citizens trust him by making them recognize that they must come together in order to achieve great
things. He believes that united there is little we cannot do because divided there is little we can do.

They could ve chosen him for great looks, or what not but for sure he had good ideas and good
proposals that offered America a peaceful presidency to come. He made us reflect that if he could be
humble enough to help one another that we can later on be humble enough to extend the hand to those
other countries who need it as well. His idea of ending communism and democracy was brilliant as in
the view of needing to come together as one and working always as one not as America separate.
Learn to never expect something in return that only God can judge our good work. Let this teach us to
not be greedy of what we may already hold that what we have is enough. This was the start of a new
America for some citizens that had seen the worst of it all around the globe. But surely gave a good
America vision to those that were just visualizing a good life ahead.
John F. Kennedy s inaugural address was a good document to reflect on for peace and kindness. This
speech was a good example of a good presidency to take upon a new beginning. This was just an eye
opener to society, what we needed, what we wanted .. words of great comfort is all he gave us and
actions of good heart is what he gave us after. His views in this speech on a better society made him
into what I consider him one of the best presidents of the United States of

Annotated Feedback
To conclude, the idea of teaching writing with CALL definitely offers much in the way of learning
value. Particularly the concept of giving feedback to a learner in a variety of approaches gives more
potential for learning than previously ever predicted. The many different forms of feedback discussed
in this assignment isolate different learning methods and responses from a student. There are two
studies that look specifically into how effective online learning environments are and both indicated
that automated feedback adds significance to student writing, although students do not appear to enjoy
the process as much as being in a classroom. These studies identify two important points, that learning
how to write should be engaging and that other real people tend to make it more so. Of these two
studies, one was a huge data sample and one was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was found that embedded audio feedback is not as preferred by the students as written feedback,
even though it offered much more detail to the specific feedback being given. This was probably to do
with the technology but if students were asynchronously checking their writing, it needs to be simple
and attractive for them to enjoy doing it. With written feedback, the information is present in front of
the student to quickly adapt their writing. In regards to synchronous and asynchronous feedback from
a teacher, synchronous was preferred whilst writing, although asynchronous does have its place.
Students struggled to determine the learning value if they were not correcting their work as they wrote
and returning to fix it later made the work more tiresome. Additionally, peer feedback was less
preferred than teacher feedback in online settings. This is probably because peer feedback is not
always trustworthy and often peers do not know how to correct what needs

Anointing of the Sick Sacrament Paper
Sacramental graces
The Catholic Church sees the effects of the sacrament as follows: As the sacrament of Marriage gives
grace for the married state, the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick gives grace for the state into which
people enter through sickness. Through the sacrament a gift of the Holy Spirit is given, that renews
confidence and faith in God and strengthens against temptations to discouragement, despair and
anguish at the thought of death and the struggle of death; it prevents the believer from losing Christian
hope in God s justice, truth and salvation. Because one of the effects of the sacrament is to absolve the
recipient of any sins not previously absolved through the sacrament of penance, only an ordained
priest or bishop ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Several sick persons may be anointed within the rite, especially if the celebration takes place in a
church or hospital. The celebration may also take place during a Catholic Mass.
[edit]Relationship with the Last Rites
Anointing of the Sick is closely associated with, and often administered during the rituals known as
the Last Rites. However, the term Last Rites is not equivalent to Anointing of the Sick , since it refers
also to two other distinct rites: Sacrament of Penance and Eucharist, the last of which is known as
Viaticum (Latin: provision for the journey ) when administered to the dying. The normal order of
administration of the rites is: first Penance (if the dying person is physically unable to confess,
absolution is given conditionally on the existence of contrition), then Anointing, then Viaticum.
Of the Last Rites, only a priest or bishop can administer the Sacraments of Penance and Anointing of
the Sick. In the absence of a priest these sacraments cannot be administered, but a lay person may give
a dying person Holy Communion, which in this case is Viaticum, the Last Sacrament of the Christian .

The oil used in the sacrament is usually olive oil, though other vegetable oil may also be used
(Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church, 1513). It is

Discontentment In The Sun Also Rises
While Faulkner writes with complex, disorganized sentences, and Hemingway writes more simply,
both unique author s distinctive styles capture the feeling of discontentment in their fictional
characters, such as Jake, in The Sun Also Rises, and Darl in, As I Lay Dying, by supplying insight on
their daily life and the environment surrounding them. While Jake s discontentment is caused by a war
wound, and Darl s sadness is created by his mother s death, Jake tries to conceal his emotions while
Darl chooses to confront his issues directly. In, The Sun Also Rises, Jake Barnes is described as being
physically damaged because of a war wound that impaired him during WWI. This is the cause for Jake
s discontentment. After his injury, a colonel mentions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Darl addresses Dewey Dell about her mission to go to Jefferson, he says, You want her to die so
you can get to town: is that it? She wouldn t say what we both knew. The reason you will not say it is,
when you say it, even to yourself, you will know it is true: is that it? But you know it is true now. I can
almost tell you the day when you knew it is true. Why wont you say it, even to yourself? (25).
Faulkner applies many intricate sentences when showing Darl s feeling of discontentment. He uses
long, complicated statements to portray the complexity of Darl s thoughts, and to show exactly how
Darl is confronting his issues instead of simply concealing them. Later in the novel Darl burns down a
barn that his mother s coffin was lying in because he wanted to end the stressful torment that he had
endured on the long trip to Jefferson. He wanted Addie to finally rest in peace and he was also tired of
traveling with his selfish family members, like the father, Anse, whose main reason for the trip was
just to get new teeth. Although he tried his best to end his internal, emotional suffering by burning
down the barn, he failed because Jewel saved the coffin from the flames. After being arrested for the
act, he says, Darl has gone to Jackson. They put him on the train, laughing, down the long car

The Life of Diomedes
A son of Tydeus and Deipyle and husband of Aegailia, and grandson of Adrastus the king of Argos.
Tydeus was one of those on the expedition of the Seven Against Thebes. The account is given here.
King Oedipus of Thebes upon realizing he had killed his own father and married his own mother
stepped down as king in shame, and gave the kingdom to his two sons Eteocles and Polynices, on the
understanding that they would alternate the throne everyyear. After the first year however Eteocles
refused to step down and drove Polynices out of Thebes. Polynices fled to Argos seeking help from
King Adrastus. Adrastus and Polynices gathered together a force of men under seven leaders Tydeus,

with the flat of the sword all the way back to the ships. During the sack of Troy Odysseus spots an

right away runs to inform Diomedes, who has lusted for the blood of Aeneas, Diomedes rushes to

Diomedes then allows them safe passage from the city. After the fall of Troy Diomedes was one of the
few Achaean kings to return home safely and without much delay. Upon reaching Argos he found his
wife had taken another lover in his absence and under her orders he was barred entrance into the city.
He then set sail for Atolia but was shipwreaked of the coast of Lycia there he was captured by the king
Lycus, and was to be sacrificed to the war god Ares, but the kings own daughter took pity on him and
helped him in escaping. He set sail again and landed in Italy where he founds

Learning style is cognitive, emotional and the physiological factors can clearly define how a learner
manages within a structured learning environment. Additionally, the different learning styles can
provide a basic understanding for trainers on how learners prefer to learn. Nonetheless, learning styles
should not be used to divide people into learning sub groups. Individuals can learn in any learning
style, however may prefer one style over another.

The adult learner is then able to comprehend the skill at hand, therefore repeat the skill and perfect the
skill.
The skill training session will include elements from the principle of learning to ensure that the
delivery of the training session will accomplish the learning objectives. Starting with the known will
permit the adult learners to express what they already know about the skill. Paper planes have been
around for centuries and most adult learners conducting the skill may have prior knowledge on what a
paper plane is, nevertheless they may have never folded one or know how to. The purpose of starting
with the known is to understand adult s prior knowledge and craft the training session around the
results.
Multiple sense learning engages the learners through demonstration of the skill with visual aid such as
PowerPoint presentation and the training video with easy to follow steps on how to fold the paper
plane. This method would involve touch, sight and listening skills in order for the learners to complete
the skill efficiently. Visual aids are truly important since learners take in 80% of the information
through sight, therefore the video demonstration will ensure that the learners absorb as much
information as possible to perform the skill correctly.

Essay on Unseen Consequences in Organizational Change
Unseen Consequences in Organizational Change I currently work for command Zulu, which is a

personnel whose primary job is conducting inspections on all East Coast Trident submarines. The two
officers fill the roles of Officer in Charge and Assistant Officer in Charge. The four enlisted personnel
are specialists in the areas of security, safety, technical operations, and administrative programs. An

Strategy The strategy for change implementation was haphazard and not well thought out. A plan for
change did not exist nor did it include any of the recommendations that Spector (2012) discussed as
effective tools for managing organizational change. Specifically, none of the elements of Kurt Lewin s
three stages of change implementation that Spector discussed as unfreezing, moving, and refreezing
organizational norms were directed. Instead, Command Zulu reorganized without fully explaining the
reasons to the customers (e.g. inspected units). The lack of understanding resulted in negative
relationships for at least a year. Leadership never considered associated risk without a plan for change
and what Bruch, Gerber, and Maier (2005) explained as creating a haphazard or improvised plan and
failing to determine whether the organization needs change. Command Zulu leaders never once
conducted dialogue or diagnosis to determine if the organization was ready for change. Leadership
never developed a method of diagnosis that Cummings and Worley (2009) explained as a necessary
part of change implementation through data collection for future intervention points. Additionally,
command Zulu leadership did not implement change in the correct sequence which Spector (2012)
discussed as having the potential of negative results or even failure associated with change not
implemented sequentially. Not having a solid plan resulted in negative

Solubility Equilibrium and the Effect of Temperature Essays
Introduction For this experiment, we are going to determine the effect of temperature on solubility, to
be done in a chemical by dissolving a solute in a definite amount of solution which is saturated.
Specifically, the goal of this experiment is to prepare a saturated solution of Na2C2O4 in water at
different temperatures, determine the effect of temperature in solubility, and to apply Le Chatelier s
Principle. We can do all this by simply titrating a certain amount of standard KMnO4, and measuring
how much KMnO4 was needed to help Na2C2O4 reach chemical equilibrium at certain temperatures.
In doing this, we will have fulfilled all the goals of our experiment, as well as being able to determine

Ethical Issues, Shareholder Or Stakeholder Responsibility,...
Write a paper on a specific problem of ethical leadership, such as environmental issues, shareholder or
stakeholder responsibility, regulatory relationships or sexual harassment or discrimination.
Ethical leadership is leadership that is directed by respect for ethical beliefs and values and for the
dignity and rights of others. It is thus related to concepts such as trust, honesty, consideration,
charisma and fairness.
Face the complexity involved in making ethical choices:
Openly talk about the ethical hazy areas and recognize the unpredictability of work life. Include others
in a greater amount of the ethical choices. Be a leader who discusses the troublesome ethical
decisions, and help other people figure out how to assume liability for settling on ethical choices
carefully.
Don t separate ethics from day to day business:
Leaders must make it clear to their representatives that morals is the way we work and not a
preparation program or instructional pamphlet. Each action, whether it is a preparation program, a
customer meeting or an imperative top administration methodology session, ought to incorporate
discussions about morals. Try not to permit contrary interpersonal practices to dissolve trust: Make
regard a heap bearing shaft in your way of life. Be an ethical pioneer who expects it and practices it.
Develop an aware situation in which individuals can talk up about morals and offer the obligation
regarding living it. Assemble trust, interest open

  • 2. This Memo Services As An Evaluation Of Team Vitamin C’S This memo services as an evaluation of team Vitamin C s individual member contributions and performance while drafting a Team Analytical Report (TAR). During week three of the course, the instructor assigned Nate Couturier, Shae Foster, Edward Sereno and myself to team Vitamin C and tasked us with drafting Individual Research Proposals (IRP s) on a topic that would later be the basis for our final project. I chose to make my proposal about flexible work schedules and how companies and employees can both benefit from them. After the instructor approved our IRPs, we were to post them on the group s discussion board so that as a team, we could decide the best topic for the Team Analytical Report (TAR). The next step of the project was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He agreed with the decisions that had been made in his absence, approved and signed the CPPs. Edward Sereno never responded to any of the group posts but eventually signed the contracts. As the project progressed, Edward remained elusive, never responding to group discussions or emails from the team leader, but he did occasionally reply to a few emails from Shae. During the week in which the TAR draft was due, Shae and I agreed that it was in the team s best interest to inform the instructor of Edward s lack of participation. Only then did he begin to participate more regularly, but still continued to miss the agreed upon timeline schedule. Because of this Nate, Shae and I always ended up scrambling to proofread and make any necessary revisions just a few hours before the submission deadline. Edward was responsible for the abstract, introduction and conclusion sections of the report. His contributions revealed a lack of research and were completed at the last minute. As the time management expert, he failed this duty. For any future team projects that Edward might be involved in, I would suggest that he adequately research the topic, participate actively in group discussions and make the necessary personal schedule changes to stay on schedule with the agreed upon timeline. Nate Couturier was absent during the first week of the project, but as I explained earlier, he had an acceptable reason for that. Going forward, he was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Body Blows Are Parr In the article titled, Body blows are par for course, but racist boos hit soul deep written by Robert Murphy, Murphy contends AFL fans and opposition supporters should stop booing Adam Goodes and yelling out racist remarks from the stands. Murphy aims this article at those against Adam Goodes and those who are involved or might be tempted to join in the racial vilification. Firstly, Murphy argues that while football players train for physical injuries, nobody can prepare to receive that kind of emotional abuse. Secondly, he believes that when it comes to the game itself, Adam Goodes is one of the best players of his generation and a hero. Lastly, he compares and points out the similarities between Muhammad Ali and Adam Goodes, how they both were respected by their fellow athletes and how they are both fighters. • 5. The Eye Of The Needle The Eye of the Needle The Eye of the Needle was always an iconic place along the Missouri until May 1997 when it collapsed under suspicious circumstances. On the expedition of Lewis and Clark, the White Cliffs of Montana was a signature site described by Lewis. One of the extraordinary landmarks was the Eye of the Needle, which Meriwether Lewis first described its scenery by comparing its magnificent rock formations to elegant ranges of lofting freestone buildings, having their parapets well stocked with statuary (Burns, 1997). This was 1800 s talk, which doesn t make sense to most people nowadays. Looking at an old picture of the Eye of the Needle that my grandfather took while rafting the Missouri, I can see the beauty that people raved about. The rock structure is so perplexing. The arch made up of multiple boulders doesn t look like anything that nature could ever make naturally. It defies gravity standing on the very top of the rock wall lining the rushing Missouri. The light grey structure has thousands of crevices that formed themselves from natural wear and tear over time. 200 feet up, it towers over the Missouri River keeping a watchful eye on all of the wildlife. When blogger Chris describes this beautiful place he said, The Eye of the Needle could be seen a few miles upstream while floating the Missouri River, and from a distance it appeared to be just that a tiny window allowing some of the sky to shine through. The structure was only about 11 feet high, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The main antagonists were the Common Wealth Armed forces on one side and the Malayan National Liberation Army, and the military arm of the Malayan Communist Party on the other side. The Common Wealth Forces armed the communist party during their war with the Japanese Army in the Second World War. The Malayan Emergency was originally the colonial government s term for the conflict. The rubber plantation and tin mining industries pushed for the use of the term emergency since their losses would not have been covered by the insurances if they had been termed a war. During the Malayan Emergency, both the opposition and the Common Wealth Forces had mass casualties and deaths. In the Malaya Emergency, the Common Wealth Forces applied so many strategies to defeat their enemies unlike in other wars. Consequently, the applied principles and the strategies during the war had been plundered by the Western countries. At first, the Common Wealth Forces used the common ways of dealing the situations. They swept the large areas, captured and detained in large numbers and, then punished large groups of people. Despite, they could not achieve so much out of their first move. • 9. How Mindfulness Can Change Your Life How Mindfulness Can Change Your Life Adopted as the latest craze, mindfulness is more than just a passing fad. This meditation technique stretches back thousands of years in Eastern cultures. While it was once a technique used primarily by Buddhist monks, modern researchers have discovered some of the immense benefits of being mindful in every day life. How Mindfulness Works At its heart, mindfulness is just a way to pay closer attention to everything that is going on. It focuses on rooting yourself in the present to notice what is really happening within your mind and body. You begin to notice the things that are going on around you without judging what is going on. The flowers grow, your boss gives you a new project and cars drive by just because that is what they do. With this mind set, you stop judging and are able to just exist within the moment. Instead of allowing yourself to go into autopilot, you are able to observe your life at a distance. With a mindfulness practice, the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) is improved, which allows for greater self regulation, less impulsiveness and better focus. The gray matter in the hippocampus increases. Since the hippocampus is responsible for emotion, memories, the limbic system and cortisol, changes in this section of the brain can reduce post traumatic stress disorder, depression and chronic stress. The Effect Of Temperature On Our Cognition Introduction When a person describes someone, as being warm one understands it as a person who is friendly and not as someone who is physically warm. Using temperature as a way to describe a person has been understood as a metaphor, however studies have revealed that there is a connection between the association of warmth and feelings of social belonging (Ijzerman et al., 2012). The belief that our physical world has an influence on our cognition is called the embodiment theory (Chen, Poon Dewell, 2014). The movie has the wealthier people and political leaders in the capital, which would be the rich and political people in our society. The movie shows how the upper class does not have to deal with some of the hard times the lower classes have to go through. An example of this is all the extra food in the capital, but people in the districts were starving and struggling to find food. This scene is an example of boxes within boxes because the prisoner is enclosed in a cell and is being viewed from the exterior of the cell through a peephole. The prisoner is enclosed in the cell, while the cell is enclosed in the police station. Mise en scène is also present in this scene, with the number five that is on the wall outside of the cell. It is not a coincidence that it is act five of the film. Additionally, the walls near the jail cell are distorted. The wall angles look similar to the shape of the peepholes as well. The boxes within boxes in this scene expresses Francis paranoia and distorted reality. Francis was worried the prisoner had escaped and attempted to murder Jane, but this was all inside his distorted reality. Francis distorted reality may also be symbolized in the distorted walls as well. Lastly, Francis mind contains an example of boxes within boxes because in his mind he sees Dr. Caligari as the mentally unstable one, but in reality, it is him who is unstable. Furthermore, Francis mind is a box that is enclosed in delirium, which is enclosed in another box, which is the actual reality. The statue of Cornwallis was created by the Scottish sculptor J. Massey Rhind and was unveiled at its eponymous park on June 22, 1931. It was considered the 182nd anniversary of Cornwallis s arrival and watched as the natal day. • 16. Toyota Unintended Acceleration Case Study A Case Study on Toyota Unintended Acceleration Toyota s Unintended Acceleration disaster could have been avoided if the software engineers had practiced proper software development steps. Numerous lessons, both technical and managerial can be learned from this software catastrophe. Three crucial lessons include: ensuring the proper implementation of fail safes, adherence to rigorous coding standards (MISRA C), and minimizing software complexity. The first incident of unwanted acceleration occurred in 2003. However, this was not reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) until five years later. And it was not until 2004 that the NHTSA actively began investigating certain Toyota models. These investigations were eventually deemed inconclusive due to the lack of resources (rather than actual evidence) to investigate further (Bagnara, 2014). Over the next three years a series of investigations open up, but once again have been deemed inconclusive due to lack of administrative resources (Bagnara, 2014). In 2007, the acceleration issues are associated with faulty floor mats getting caught beneath the pedals causing the vehicle to accelerate uncontrollable. Toyota begins issuing recalls soon after. Two years later, a fatal accident occurs involving the death of four people which was again linked to defective floor mats. However, it was quickly becoming evident that not all the fault can be blamed on floor mats. In 2010, Toyota reveals that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are a variety of educational websites out there to support students from a young age as young as three and up the age of college students. Web sites could be used in a classroom under the supervision of a teacher or at home under the monitoring of a parent. We have to collaborate, encourage, and motivate one another to strengthen our cohesiveness. The unbelievable bonds formed within a family are naturally created during a process. As stated from Leadership and Professionalism, collaboration s purpose is to create a shared vision and joint strategies to address concerns that go beyond the purview of any particular party (Anderson and Bolt, 2013, p.36). I have found that my experiences with CLA correlate with this idea. As time progressed, our group began to understand each other, and utilize our strengths to maximize efficiency. This is because we became more comfortable with each other, learned how to constructively criticize one another, and developed a productive system. My views on the process obviously go far beyond my experiences in this class, but the experiences have undoubtedly reassured my philosophy. A relational database stores data in multiple table. This technique helped to overcome the issues like data duplication, data noise and inconsistency which ensured that the data is entered and stored only once. Later as the data grew in size, it became a challenging task to handle such a significantly large amount of data.
