George Mason University Code Of Conduct Analysis
Mr. Green, I appreciate you and the universities concern in regards to protecting my professional
opportunities and such, however, at the end of the day it s all relative. And believe it or not, a lot of
employers don t care about student teacher relations unless criminal intent was involved. Secondly, is
how there are constant disagreements (within the workforce) wherever you go. For example, did you
know and/or is the university aware, that Dr. Farina s actions constitute as displayed
Microaggressions? And seeing how I m an African American male that falls in line with a
marginalized group, I can easily file a suit against his actions as well as the university. So if anyone
owes anyone an apology? It s Dr. Farina. And last but not least, are the disciplinary actions you and/or
Dr. Farina mentioned. For instance, on what grounds can Dr. Farina take in regards to disciplining me
as there are no university by laws that forbid me(and/or any student) from expressing myself? By way
of illustration, the George Mason University Code of Conduct 2015 2016 manual (i.e. in Section III:
Statement on Freedom of Expression) states: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Amendment? Whereas, had I expressed an intent to harm Dr. Farina and/or his welfare, then yes, I
would be subjected to disciplinary actions including but not limited to legal ramifications. But that s
not the case here is it? Again, Dr. Farina, is an arrogant prick, who thinks he s above students beneath
him; and possibly above the university. The reason why is simple. He s upset that I called him out his
professional title. Guess what Mr. Green? I get called out once a week, by individuals who feel (i.e. a
sense of entitlement) they should have my professional title. And guess what? I don t get offended.
Why? Because it is their opinion. That s life Mr. Green, and that s the way I

Cannabis Is Too Long Essay
If you accept our approach that cannabis is a living plant then you start to wonder how long your
cannabis will last. Maybe some of you more robust consumers have never confronted the question but
believe it or not, there are people whose buds last them a long time. So how long is too long?
Under the right conditions, your buds can sustain for long periods. But there are a few rules to follow
to get the most mileage you can.
Temperature
The thing about too much heat is that it degrades the trichomes on the cannabis bud and the trichomes
are where most of the cannabinoids are held. Cannabinoids like THC and CBD provide the relaxation
and symptomatic relief that cannabis consumers look for. Without them, the magic of the plant
degrades somewhat.
What is the ideal temperature for storing your cannabis? We know that molds and other organic matter
thrive in temperatures between 77° F and 86° F so we want ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Most humidor liners are cedar wood, which has its own oils and fragrance that influences your
cannabis. Tobacco humidors also use sponges that contain propylene glycol to regulate humidity and
these can over humidify your cannabis.
Light
Storing your cannabis in direct sunlight will guarantee rapid degradation of the oils and cannabinoids
in the plant. Not only do UV rays degrade the cannabis, but the light generates excessive heat. Your
best bet is a cool, dark place. Keep the cannabis protected for maximum potency and freshness.
Air
Oxygen levels have a surprisingly dramatic impact on cannabis. If there is too little air and the
cannabis is not completely dry when stored, it can create an environment of extremely high relative
humidity. Too much air and the cannabis can dry out while other organic material may be introduced
into the container. Devices exist to manage the air content in your storage container. The best solution
is to minimize handling and exposure if

The Content Of The Cult Film They Live
A film, generally speaking is digested on a surface level as a piece of entertainment and some
elements can pass the viewers by. However films are cemented in the time and place they were made
and the filmmakers unique self expression is presented in an artistic form to fully give their work
depth. Typically, feature films are narrative driven and focus on a central set of characters and their
trials and tribulations. However, the film can mean something deeper when fully delving into the
content of the work, whether it is cultural, political or ideological in its message. These elements
presented give the work depth thus allowing deeper discussions and analysis of a work that may seem
simple on a surface level. Student filmmakers have always strived to implement these points in their
work. With the aim of improving their practice, it is considered a necessity to include these elements
in order to fully dissect the elements of specific works to understand the method in which these
messages are implemented. In this assignment, I will discuss the content of the cult film They Live
(They Live, 1988) so I can fully grasp the symptomatic and ideological elements behind the film and
how it has inspired other artists. John Carpenters career flourished with the release of Halloween
(Halloween, 1978). Throughout the 1980 s he made a name for himself within the horror and science
fiction genre with films such as The Fog (The Fog, 1980), The Thing (The Thing, 1982) and Escape

PAD 622 Science, Technology and Government
The conception of transparency seems to be everywhere in todays time, from the products we
consume as buying customers to the governments we look to in leading our nations. Social media is
another refuge for transparency. With millions of people noticing, it s difficult for any organization or
individual to say one thing and do another. Supporters of the transparency movement say that it is a
very good thing; after all, transparency is serving to keep people honest and up front about the
products and services they sell to consumers.
Many may ask the question, why is transparency so important to people. Maybe its because some
people place such a high value on transparency because it can help to cause change on different levels.
Changes can occur within a corporation or government, which can change the way it the government
functions. Transparency can also create a change in the way government and companies relate to the
public. And, it can result in groups being able to participate in lawmaking that may not have had that
opportunity beforehand. It could be that people are witnessing a new world transformation. ... Show

From some sort of understanding, when a nation discloses information that would be knowledge for
its citizen s, that nation is often hailed for its commitment to being honest with its public. As a result,
that county can errand large amount of revenue. There is no doubt that being transparent can have
many economic advantages to the government. Being transparent is having the understanding of being

citizens. Being transparent about them can also reduce government

Ruined Women In The Bluest Eye
Morrison also includes sexual scenes where characters willingly having sex to demonstrate
empowerment based on autonomy. The ruined women in The Bluest Eye are also the most liberated
characters in the novel. Marie, China, and Poland are sex workers that control their own business;
thus, making them independent and self reliant. Because these women are seen as independent and
sexually confident, their occupation as a sex worker suggests that they are liberated from an
oppressive society. As a result, they do not have to conform to societal norms: They were whores in

An Important Part Of Interpersonal Communication
Feedback is known to be an important part of interpersonal communication. It lets speakers know
what impact their words are having. When others have an opportunity to respond, a dialogue is created
and the content of the messages can be adjusted, or even improved. This dynamic is applied every day
in health care settings. Medical professionals rely on feedback throughout their careers to enhance the
quality care they provide. Patients enter clinics and emergency rooms seeking feedback from
physicians about what is happening to their bodies. Together, medical staff and patients must depend
on feedback to reach a diagnosis and find the best course of treatment. Physicians and other medical
staff collectively examine patients: recording their vitals, taking an accurate history, and performing a
thorough review of certain body systems. All of this is done based on the patients chief complaints.
Their bodies are sending feedback signals, trying to tell them something is wrong, such as an infection
like pneumonia. Patients cannot interpret this feedback themselves, so they seek medical services to
further examine them. Sometimes the feedback patients bodies send is not very clear. Many diagnoses
share signs and symptoms, so physicians should consider other factors as well. The patient may have
other conditions that put them at particular risk for other problems to arise. If physicians or staff fail to
further investigate in these situations, a potential for serious consequences

Psychological Disorders In Lewis Carroll s Alice In...
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because
everything would be what it isn t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn t be. And what it wouldn t be,
it would. You see? Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland. Furthermore, a desire for one to bend the
world as they see fit, even when what they see fit isn t meant to be. There are many ways to read the
novel Alice in Wonderland , it holds not one point of view, but many which can be interpreted in
several ways. Analyzed from the critical viewpoint of physiological, readers may discover some
interesting and remarkable surprises. The specific point I would like to discuss today are the
physiological disorders this novel holds, such as the lunatic Red Queen who was wrapped whole with
narcissistic behaviors and personality disorders, the unimaginable feeling of loneliness portrayed
throughout Alice s adventure, and a dream anxiety disorder/psychosis or schizophrenia which
represented itself as the actual story, viewed through the main character Alice. To begin with, there are
many characters in Alice in Wonderland, who, despite the normality in their world, are rather odd; all
whom which held a distinctive characteristic that revolved around all their actions, words, and
surroundings. The Red Queen, who is described to have a very large head, portrays a character who is
full of herself, hence the size of the head; she frequently tends to put herself in a position in which she

Bruce Dawe Consumerism
Good afternoon/morning ladies and gentlemen. Consumerism is defined by the English oxford
dictionary as continual expansion of one s wants and needs for goods and services. Bruce Dawes
poems Televistas and Enter Without So Much As Knocking critique the powerful and persuasive
influence that companies have on our society.
Consumerism leads to self gratification and the loss of life s important values such as friendship, love
and religion; this is an ever growing issue that manipulates and deceives society and has done so since
the beginning of the technological age.
Bruce Dawes poetry highlights his concerns and devotion towards the ordinary consumer and how
easily manipulated and rocked by the media they may be. He does this through the use of ironic
humor, cliché, hyperbole and many other language features that are extensively used in his poetry. ...

The poem Enter without so much as knocking begins with the innocence of a baby being exposed to
the harsh materialistic world seconds after birth. The capitalization of the words HOSPITAL
SILENCE presents the idea of sings which are controlling the way we live. This is reinforced further
into the poem when the baby is considered an adult and is truly introduced to the consumerism of the
society.
Capitalized words again represent the words the man reads on signs. Dawe mocks these signs by
including NO BREATHING EXCEPT BY ORDER which is using irony, as it is impossible to be able
to control when people can and cant breathe. At the end of the poem the non capitalization of the
world silence shows that it is silence rather than a gins demanding silence. This shows that the only
way to escape the miser of a noisy consumerist society is through

Bicci De Medici Bank
In Italy during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance is when capitalism and private ownership took
root. Italy was the dominant economic power of the western world. The merchants that worked and
resided in the region were the leading business men of the time. Trade was growing rapidly and some
of the major exports included silk, cloth and wool. Giovanni di Bicci de Medici worked his way to
wealth and laid the foundation for his family to become the most powerful family in Italy. In The Rise
and Decline of the Medici Bank, describes the beginnings of the Medici family. Giovanni came from
humble beginnings; he did not come from money. His father Averardo de Medici died during the
plague in 1963, he split what little money he had between his five sons. After his father s death,
Giovanni and his brother Francesco obtained work in Rome, from their distant cousin Messer Vieri di
Cambrio. They both worked as apprentices in their cousins banking house. From there, they rose to
the position of partners of the firm. Giovanni decided to purchase part of the firm, using the dowry
from his wife, and when Giovanni s cousin retired in 1393, Giovanni took over the business. In 1397,
he relocated the banks headquarters to Florence, Italy. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Christianity In Beowulf
Beowulf is an exciting tale about a Scandinavian man named Beowulf, who saves the Danes from an
unconquerable monster called Grendel. It is not known who the author of Beowulf. It is theorized that
the book had more than one author over a period of time. Another theory is that Beowulf only had one
author and other writers changed or added content to the story. Beowulf has many Christian aspects.
God is brought up many times throughout the book. The different monsters also represent the different
sins that humans commit almost daily. Grendel is envy and anger, Grendel s mother is feuding, and the
dragon is greed and hoarding. Beowulf was written in the time when England was being converted to
Christianity from paganism. Because of this, there are doubts that the authors of Beowulf knew about
God. Throughout the book, there are many indications that the author(s) of Beowulf knew about God s
existence. While it is doubted, they still praised God, acknowledged that he ... Show more content on

Use Of Pathos And Logos On Children
BOOM! Now that I have your attention, take a moment and think of all the advertisements you have
seen. There are few that you actually remember in relation to the thousands you have viewed in your
lifetime. The advertisements that stick with a person have a certain wow factor, that captivates the
viewerr and remains in the back of their head. The Learn for Life Foundation produced a commercial
for their Set Yourself Free campaign. This ineffective ad was used to scare the teens of Australia away
from the mistake of missing school, using pathos and logos as their means of manipulation. A group of
friends in conservative school uniforms hop through a window and over a fence, to freedom. One of
the groups companions pulls up to their point of escape in an old Volkswagen esques van, joyfully
waving his buddies to get in. As the group enters the van two of their peers still trapped behind the
previously jumped fence stare in disapproval and attempt to dissuade their classmates from leaving
school. The video then cuts to the teens in their van cruising down the highway smiling, laughing, and
trading their confining uniforms for liberating everyday clothes. After their trip down the freeway the
group slips through an old, rusted chain link fence, in order to arrive at their final destination, the
beach. The friends spend their time splashing in the ocean, lying in the sand, drinking alcohol, and
giving lust filled glance to their significant others. Eventually one couple

The epithelial cell consists of the keratinocyte cell that makes its monolayer. After getting nutrients,
the growth factors of the epithelial cell enables it to grow and separate from the keratinocyte. The
keratinocytes get support from fibroblasts as shown by keratinocyte lines. The keratinoctes depend on
finite life enabled by soluble products highly structured by the fibroblasts. The properties of life of the
epithelial cell demonstrate that it is not an independent type of cell and requires fibroblast support for
its sustainability (McLaughlin Seaquist, 2008). Cell anatomy and physiology
Anatomy can be described as the branch of biology that studies the structures and parts of organisms.
Physiology is the branch of biology that examines the normal functioning and parts of living things.
Regarding the anatomy of the epithelial cell, it is lined in all the surfaces of the body including the
body cavities, intestine, skin, and lungs among other parts.
The physiology of the epithelial cell is that it forms the functional elements of the inner surface and
line of blood, secretory glands, and the lymphatic vessels. It performs different functions including
excretion, absorption, protection, secretion and gas exchange among others. The skin performs the
protection function. The absorption function is through the intestines, secretion through the glands,
gas exchange through the blood and lung vessels and excretion through the kidney.

CGI is used for visuals, advertising, anatomical modeling, architecture, special effects in cinema, and

effects in cinema were simple. In Pre War Hollywood or before World War II, special effects included

The Yellow River And The Chinese Nation
The Yellow River is located in Qinghai, China. In the present day it is not very dense in population. It
is a very high altitude called the Tibetan Plateau. It is place of strong Tibetan and Mongol cultural
traditions in present day China. The Yellow River is known by all Chinese people as the mother river
(Wu). It is also agreed upon by almost all Chinese people that it is the cradle of Chinese civilization
and the spiritual home of the Chinese people (Zhou). The Yellow River is the symbol of the Chinese
nation, the spirt of the Chinese people, but most importantly civilization itself. The Yellow River gets
its name from the yellowish color of the water. The water is yellow because each year over 1.6 billion
tons of soil flows into the river, which causes the rise and shifting of the river bed (Wu). Before the
damming of the river it was extremely prone to flooding which in turn caused millions of deaths. The
Yellow River flooding is responsible for the deadliest disaster in human history. It is said the river had
changed course twenty six times between 608 BC and 1938 AD and flooded of fifteen hundred times
(Wu). The Yellow River is not what is used be unfortunately. With the decrease in rainfall in the
Yellow River Basin and also increasing water demands for irrigation purposes the river has dried up
annually since 1972. The longest it ever ran dry was in 1997 for 226 days (Wu). These annual

California Water Market Independent Study
California Water Market Independent Study
Water is a critical component for all life on earth and for humans it is even more than just a source of
hydration. Humans use water for household utilities, the food service industry, manufacturing, power
production, for recreational purposes such as in pools, ice rinks and for boating but most of all water is
used for agriculture irrigation. Given this vital need for water, various international laws recognize a
human right to water including the United Nations, which stated that The human right to water entitles
everyone to sufficient, safe, acceptable, physically accessible and affordable water for personal and

With a diminishing snow pack and the ongoing depletion and leaching of ground water with each
passing year, the drought continues to wreak havoc. According to the Los Angeles Times as of 2014
Electronic readings estimated snowpack state was as much as 50% of normal. Despite the continuing
loss of water resources, California is the largest consumer of water in the United States. Annually,
California consumes 11% of all the fresh water in United States . Agriculture alone consumes 80% of
all water consumed in the state California , yet due to federal subsidies ranging in the billions, state
relief plans and private wells, farmers pay less per gallon as compared to all other California
consumers of water. Farmers in imperial valley irrigation district pay $20 per acre foot, less than one
tenth the cost in San Diego. Historically arguments for subsidizing the water market and permitting
unregulated public consumption of water were premised on the belief that access to water is an
inherent human right and that it is necessary to maintain the cheap cost of food at lower prices that
cheap water affords. This approach is outdated as well as short sighted since the system fosters over
consumption and is unsustainable. After studying market economies for a trimester and gathering both
qualitative and quantitative information about the current water issue in California, a good way to
induce conservation of water is by creating a pseudo free market around water.

The Norman Conquest By Marc Morris, The Narrative Of The...
The Norman Conquest by Marc Morris is a narrative of the Norman invasion of 1066. Since the
events happened so long ago, there are many incomplete accounts of the events. Even these
incomplete accounts are usually heavily biased. As such, it is a difficult undertaking for a historian to
construct a cohesive summary of the period. Nevertheless, Marc Morris attempted the task, and did an
admirable job. It is written as a narrative, but has enough detail to satisfy a student of history. Morris
begins by exploring the history of one of the few sources that remain of the Norman invasion, the
Bayeux tapestry. The tapestry has had a long history of trading hands and escaping harm seemingly
miraculously. According to Morris, the Bayeux tapestry has survived looting in the French Revolution,
was owned by Napoleon Bonaparte for a time, and was stolen by Nazis during their occupation of
France in World War II. Aside from its own fascinating history, the tapestry itself is not a flawless
source. Morris points out that it is in fact incomplete, as it abruptly stops at Harold Godwinson s
death. It was also in part copied from older accounts of the invasion and therefore is not a primary
source. It is also non committal in its portrayal of events and the captions are for the most part
willfully obscure or ambiguous (p. 4). In other words, it seems intended more to be a narrative than as

Today s Americ What Defines A Model Leader
What truly defines a model leader? Is it something that showed exceptional courage in a time others
hid away? Or is it someone who consistently leads time after time, no matter the circumstances? These
are interesting questions that if the idea of leader exists these questions will always be asked. There is
a popular quote from the movie Sandlot said by Babe Ruth Heroes get remembered, legends never die
(Ruth). The prior quote can be switched around to show the importance of leaders and that is Bosses
get remembered, leaders never die. This quote is evident in the leader that I selected, seeing the impact
they made two hundred plus years ago, that is still seen every day we wake up. In today s American,
we are a country divided for many reasons including: racial, political, taxes, and many more reasons.
Flashback two hundred years ago and we were a divided America because of the same issues that
divide us today. Out of this turmoil came a group of leaders known today as the Founding Fathers.
Together these men took on a brave mission to leave the tyranny of Great Britain, ... Show more

Braddock and his men were ordered to take Fort Duquesne and along the way were involved in the
Battle of the Monongahela. This was a decisive victory for the French, but Washington would show
his leadership. In most cases of war, when the tides of battle change, a retreat is carried out. This battle
was no different, however, the retreat was carried out in pure chaos. Washington would take control of
this situation and rally the troops into an organized retreat. As Mount Vernon discusses in his
biography ...Washington had two horses shot out from under him and four bullet holes shot through
his coat. Although he behaved with conspicuous bravery, Washington could do little except lead the
broken survivors to safety (Mount Vernon), with this, Washington became a

Military Service Deployment
What I learned in class that enriched my learning would be when we discussed the demands and
stressors of families impacted by military service deployment. I can understand how difficult this may
be because of the time being separated away from the service member. Also, the worriedness and fear
that goes on if their loved one will return back home safely from combat. These stressors not only
affect the family, but the service member as well. Moreover, it was interesting to learn about the
redeployment and post deployment stages that family members and the veteran go through. I learned
that when the service member returns, he/she might still be adjusting to coming home from combat
(Asbury Martin, 2012). Symptoms include feeling more detached,

The And Substance Abuse By Paula Dominguez
Introduction Paula Dominguez is a 45 year old bilingual Hispanic female. She is a single mother of
three, but all of her kids where removed from her care due to general neglect and no provision of
support. She has a history with addiction, which led to a past incarceration, but is currently in
treatment for her alcohol and substance abuse. She currently only has supervised visits with her eldest
son, Alex, but is requesting unsupervised visits and reunification services for him. Alex is 16 has a
PPLA and is currently in a group home. He was molested by his stepdad when he was 10, which
subsequently led to Alex later molesting his younger brother, Jesus. Jesus is 9 and is currently living
with his younger brother Seth, who is 7 years old, and their grandmother, Carmen Rodriguez, in Legal
Guardianship. Carmen was considering adopting both of the younger boys, but has recently changed
her mind due to her inability to handle the boy s escalating behavioral problems. There are many
factors which are contributing to the family s need for intervention services, such as mental and
behavioral health diagnosis, substance abuse, and a history of abuse and neglect. Alternatively, there
are many strengths and protective factors this family possesses, such as a desire to remain unified as a
family, active participation in individual and family counseling, and involvement in extracurricular
activities, that the family can use to mitigate existing problems.

Lunar Eclipse
Lunar eclipse

The June 2011 total eclipse
A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly behind the Earth into its umbra (shadow). This
can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned (in syzygy ) exactly, or very closely so,
with the Earth in the middle. Hence, a lunar eclipse can only occur the night of a full moon. The type
and length of an eclipse depend upon the Moon s location relative to its orbital nodes. Unlike a solar
eclipse, which can only be viewed from a certain relatively small area of the world, a lunar eclipse
may be viewed from anywhere on the night side of the Earth. A lunar eclipse lasts for a few hours,
whereas a total solar eclipse lasts for only a few minutes at any given place, due ... Show more content

Shorter wavelengths are more likely to be scattered by the air molecules and the small particles, and
so by the time the light has passed through the atmosphere, the longer wavelengths dominate. This
resulting light we perceive as red. This is the same effect that causes sunsets and sunrises to turn the
sky a reddish color; an alternative way of considering the problem is to realize that, as viewed from
the Moon, the Sun would appear to be setting (or rising) behind the Earth.
The amount of refracted light depends on the amount of dust or clouds in the atmosphere; this also
controls how much light is scattered. In general, the dustier the atmosphere, the more that other
wavelengths of light will be removed (compared to red light), leaving the resulting light a deeper red
color. This causes the resulting coppery red hue of the Moon to vary from one eclipse to the next.
Volcanoes are notable for expelling large quantities of dust into the atmosphere, and a large eruption
shortly before an eclipse can have a large effect on the resulting color.
Danjon scale
The following scale (the Danjon scale) was devised by André Danjon for rating the overall darkness of
lunar eclipses:[4]
L=0: Very dark eclipse. Moon almost invisible, especially at mid totality. L=1: Dark eclipse, gray or
brownish in coloration. Details

The Southwest Blackout Of 2003
The Northeast blackout of 2003 was one of the most critical blackouts in the history which affected
more than 50 million people in both the United States and Canada. The main cause of this disaster was
a software bug in the energy management system used by FirstEnergy Corporation, located in Akron,
Ohio. This is a perfect example of poor quality coding may led to a big disaster. For a perfectly
planned power grid, the power generation of each region is matched with the power consumption
within this region, so that the power lines will always carry a reasonable workload. If one power line
fails to work, other parallel lines would have to carry extra power, which is bad for safety and may
lead to fire. The power system operators are the ones ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And the generating plant don t know it either. Then, because the workload was assigned to other lines,
several other lines in the region also declined to work for self protection, and the whole Ohio and
Michigan got blackout short after. The company and other government departments noticed the
problem, but hardly have anything to do at the time. The cascading effect is already unstoppable. Each
generating plant can only separate their generators from the power grid to prevent the large current
destroy their generators. So almost all the generating plants in northeastern United States and Ontario
went offline, and the whole region got blackout. This happened in only 2 hours. Water pumps cannot
work without power supply, so some areas also have water supply problem. And other services like
public transportation (e.g. TTC streetcars), communication, and media (radio and TV stations) also
affected. Some areas recovered from the blackout the same night, but most areas did not get power
back until August 16th, two days after the accident. Both United States government and Canada
government were criticized, and they adopted some policy to prevent future blackouts after it.
Following the blackout, a thorough investigation of the energy control system was taken. GE s
developers looked through millions of lines of code and log to find the bug, and it them weeks to
finally locate the bug. The bug is known as a race condition in computer science,

Examples Of Deception In Rick Deckard
Philip K. Dick uses deception to construct a perceived polarity in Rick Deckard s society which causes
Deckard to try and polarize himself. Dick s society is already defined along the lines of the allegedly
empathetic and the allegedly un empathetic. Mercerism pushes a focus on taking care of animals as a
form of transcendence, since animals need to be cared for to thrive. This action is considered to be the
epitome of empathy. However, due to supply and demand the cost of living animals is exorbitant.
Deckard and many others turned towards electric animals to deceive their neighbors into thinking that
they are of a higher socio economic class. The entire symbol of the animal from the start of the story is
of a corrupted view of religious

The Impact Of Sexism On Social Media
Women experience several occasions where they feel harassed or discriminated because of their
gender. There are things that need to change in order to make women feel safe when exploring the
internet. Sexism on social media has become a major problem over the past years, it lowers the self
esteem of women and makes them feel inferior. As a society, there are changes that must be made in
order to fix this problem.
Sexist content on social media is becoming a bigger problem as more and more people are using the
internet daily. Both Yvette Cooper and Ashley Judd, believe there are several things people can do to
fix this problem. Author Yvette Cooper states that change on sexist content is vital because it not only
affects women of this generation but it also affects future generations. She believes that it s important
society teaches the next generations that sexism on social media is not normal. At the TEDWomen
event, actress Ashley Judd, talked about her experience and how she felt when she would receive
sexist comments online. She states the change is crucial and the government has to do something to
try and fix it. She states there has to be more rules and regulations among the internet in order to stop
sexism on social media. On the other hand, Lebanese nut company, Alrifai, advertised their products
in a sexist manner. The nuts in the advertisements were compared to men and women and how they
are viewed based on their looks. Advertisements like these are proof that

Implementing A Collaborative Crm Software Application
Problem Statement
To achieve business agility in the area of marketing, SW4 s sales and marketing departments must
collaborate in order to anticipate challenges and opportunities before they occur (Heisterberg Verma,
2014). To achieve optimal collaborative marketing, SW4 must effectively implement a collaborative
CRM software application so that sales, marketing and other departments can easily share information
they collect from customers. So that all organizations involved in SW4 have access to one CRM
software, these systems must utilize cloud computing as well as be effective in three key marketing
management functions: Marketing Planning, Campaign Management, and Customer Analytics. By
doing this, SW4 will be able to improve cross marketing campaigns and sales promotions, discover
the optimal approach to delivering products and services to different customer segments while
creating a competitive advantage for Sonoma Worldwide Wine Week and increasing profitability for
each organization (Baltzan, 2013).
Challenges and Opportunities Along with the challenge of easily integrating a new collaborative,
cloud based CRM software comes the challenges of training all organizations employees on the new
system and working together to utilize the system to its fullest in order to achieve the desired results.
Findings suggest that organizational changes initiated by management create strategically constructed
silos that force implementation through people and systems

The Process Of Unification Occurred Over A 100 Year Period
The process of unification occurred over a 100 year period, and was spurred on by a number of
individuals, both Italians such as Cavour and Crispi and foreigners such as napoleon the III. There
were, however, different stages of unification throughout the entire process.
The actions of each key individual must be assessed within each stage they influenced and how their
actions affected unification in a positive or negative way.
The first stage of unification was 1800 to 1815, where Napoleon I was the primary mover. He made a
huge number of changes such as changing ruling dynasties , simplifying trade boundaries, and most
importantly, establishing his Code Napoleon as law. Mack Smith argues that these reforms made Italy

It can therefore be concluded that the advancements Napoleon made were only short term and he
intended to just create a satellite of France, and giving the Italians too much of a unification spirit
would have made them too strong. However, he did have a long term political significance; he for
political unity and inadvertently encouraged the Italians dislike of foreigners through his enforced
conscription policies, which encouraged a sense of nationalism for the first time.
The next stage was 1815 to 1849, involving primarily the Austrian Chancellor Prince Clemens von
Metternich and the Italian political idealist Giuseppe Mazzini.
They had an almost symbiotic relationship, ether justifying the others existence. This is argued by
Sarti who implies Mazzini and Metternich helped unification through their hatred of each other;
Mazzini served as the ideologist and Metternich the oppressor, each justified the other s involvement
in italy. Berkley says that there was truth in Metternich s thousand times reiterated assertion that he
was defending law and order because if Mazzini s revolutions had been successful, there would have
been bloodshed and utter anarchy . It is certainly

My Habits With A Healthy Lifestyle
Around 4 years ago I made the conscious decision to live a healthier lifestyle. I decided almost as an
experiment to refine my eating habits, start exercising on a regular basis, cut back on drinking alcohol
and to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night. I wanted to see if it made any impact on how I felt both
mentally and physically. After maintaining these new habits for a couple of months I realized how
much happier, calmer and healthier I felt. I also noticed that I personally respond positively to having
a schedule that I follow everyday. In the beginning the whole process of changing how I lived was not
simple, however eventually I felt amazing. Four years later and I am still seeing the positive
aftereffects of living this way and have made even more positive adjustments due to how incredible it
makes me feel. It has become second nature and I do not think I will ever go back to my old unhealthy
habits. On a regular week I have about 7 8 hours of sleep a day and I work out in some capacity 7 days
a week. I have 5 days where I exercise for at least 30 minutes a day and on the other two days I do 15
20 minutes. Since making the decision to be healthier I am at the point now where I need to be active
everyday, even if its just a quick 15 minute session, it helps start my day on the right foot and keeps
me balanced. I revel in working out and due to it bringing me pleasure; it ends up being a stress
reducer (Sapolsky, 2010, p.261). Unfortunately work lately has

Article Report On Fake News
Fake News
Among the rights and freedoms that are elaborately defined and protected by the First Amendment is
the right to freedom of speech and of the press. This presentation explores fake news as a phenomenon
worth weighing on the basis of the provisions of the First Amendment.
To attempt to define the phrase, fake news within the limited confines of the present task will not
augur well with the overall quest to remain objective. But for purposes of this paper, fake news refers
to the news that, to the extent that it can be corroborated, are laced with inconsistencies, inaccuracies,
inordinate and generous depictions of realty, misleading and falsified news items. They are false
statements of fact.
Under the US constitutional law, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the same time, it is frivolous to presuppose that this constitutional protection is a blank check
(Volokh, 2008). Indeed, the letter and spirit of the law was not to protect propagandist news
tendencies. On the contrary, the rights and freedoms of the First Amendment must be enjoyed and/or
exercised responsibly. A known legal cliché capture this aptly: in the exercise of your rights, do not
violate or encroach on mine.
In summary, what the Founders (of the US) had in mind was the institution of a society where truth
and reality wouldn t be concealed by anyone. This, certainly, does not include the malicious, falsified,
untruthful and misleading statements that can be used by anyone or any media outlet in achieving
mischievous goals and objectives. In reaching that end, the First Amendment aptly captures the
Founders vision to entrench the rights and freedoms into law.

Hate Crime And Social Dominance Theory
Animals don t hate, and we re supposed to be better than them , is a quote by Elvis Presley. Hatred can
be defined as deep feeling of resentment or anger toward another person, group, or thing. It has caused
violent acts of anger and rage. Hate crimes are crimes that are motivated by racial, sexual, or other
prejudice, typically one involving violence (Oxford Dictionary). An example of a hate crime is the
murder of an African American man, by a group of white men, in Mississippi. This crime carries
several characteristics of hate crime, and supports the Social Dominance Theory.
The first characteristic that this hate crime exhibited is that the haters took time to go look for an
African American to victimize in an unfamiliar area. A group of white men, who disliked black
people, went to a party in Puckett. There they discussed going to Mississippi capital to find African
Americans to harass. The men went to Mississippi, and bullied unknown black men and women
during the night. The white driver, Deryl Dedmon, drove over a black man named James Craig
Anderson with his vehicle, killing him. Going to an unfamiliar area, which the white men did in this
murder, is a characteristic of hate crime. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The men had the intentions of finding an African American to harass that night, not anyone is
particular. In fact, they harassed many African Americans before killing James by making fun of them,
using abusive language and throwing items such as empty beer bottles at them. When they came
across James, they had first beaten him, and then Deryl Dedmon drove over him with his truck while
another friend made a video. James was a victim killed by people he didn t know, and that is another
characteristic of a hate

  • 2. George Mason University Code Of Conduct Analysis Mr. Green, I appreciate you and the universities concern in regards to protecting my professional opportunities and such, however, at the end of the day it s all relative. And believe it or not, a lot of employers don t care about student teacher relations unless criminal intent was involved. Secondly, is how there are constant disagreements (within the workforce) wherever you go. For example, did you know and/or is the university aware, that Dr. Farina s actions constitute as displayed Microaggressions? And seeing how I m an African American male that falls in line with a marginalized group, I can easily file a suit against his actions as well as the university. So if anyone owes anyone an apology? It s Dr. Farina. And last but not least, are the disciplinary actions you and/or Dr. Farina mentioned. For instance, on what grounds can Dr. Farina take in regards to disciplining me as there are no university by laws that forbid me(and/or any student) from expressing myself? By way of illustration, the George Mason University Code of Conduct 2015 2016 manual (i.e. in Section III: Statement on Freedom of Expression) states: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To include, are we not able to express our thoughts, words, and actions founded on the First Amendment? Whereas, had I expressed an intent to harm Dr. Farina and/or his welfare, then yes, I would be subjected to disciplinary actions including but not limited to legal ramifications. But that s not the case here is it? Again, Dr. Farina, is an arrogant prick, who thinks he s above students beneath him; and possibly above the university. The reason why is simple. He s upset that I called him out his professional title. Guess what Mr. Green? I get called out once a week, by individuals who feel (i.e. a sense of entitlement) they should have my professional title. And guess what? I don t get offended. Why? Because it is their opinion. That s life Mr. Green, and that s the way I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Cannabis Is Too Long Essay If you accept our approach that cannabis is a living plant then you start to wonder how long your cannabis will last. Maybe some of you more robust consumers have never confronted the question but believe it or not, there are people whose buds last them a long time. So how long is too long? Under the right conditions, your buds can sustain for long periods. But there are a few rules to follow to get the most mileage you can. Temperature The thing about too much heat is that it degrades the trichomes on the cannabis bud and the trichomes are where most of the cannabinoids are held. Cannabinoids like THC and CBD provide the relaxation and symptomatic relief that cannabis consumers look for. Without them, the magic of the plant degrades somewhat. What is the ideal temperature for storing your cannabis? We know that molds and other organic matter thrive in temperatures between 77° F and 86° F so we want ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most humidor liners are cedar wood, which has its own oils and fragrance that influences your cannabis. Tobacco humidors also use sponges that contain propylene glycol to regulate humidity and these can over humidify your cannabis. Light Storing your cannabis in direct sunlight will guarantee rapid degradation of the oils and cannabinoids in the plant. Not only do UV rays degrade the cannabis, but the light generates excessive heat. Your best bet is a cool, dark place. Keep the cannabis protected for maximum potency and freshness. Air Oxygen levels have a surprisingly dramatic impact on cannabis. If there is too little air and the cannabis is not completely dry when stored, it can create an environment of extremely high relative humidity. Too much air and the cannabis can dry out while other organic material may be introduced into the container. Devices exist to manage the air content in your storage container. The best solution is to minimize handling and exposure if ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Content Of The Cult Film They Live A film, generally speaking is digested on a surface level as a piece of entertainment and some elements can pass the viewers by. However films are cemented in the time and place they were made and the filmmakers unique self expression is presented in an artistic form to fully give their work depth. Typically, feature films are narrative driven and focus on a central set of characters and their trials and tribulations. However, the film can mean something deeper when fully delving into the content of the work, whether it is cultural, political or ideological in its message. These elements presented give the work depth thus allowing deeper discussions and analysis of a work that may seem simple on a surface level. Student filmmakers have always strived to implement these points in their work. With the aim of improving their practice, it is considered a necessity to include these elements in order to fully dissect the elements of specific works to understand the method in which these messages are implemented. In this assignment, I will discuss the content of the cult film They Live (They Live, 1988) so I can fully grasp the symptomatic and ideological elements behind the film and how it has inspired other artists. Pad 622 Unit 2 Research Paper KeAndra Davis July 3, 2015 PAD 622 Science, Technology and Government The conception of transparency seems to be everywhere in todays time, from the products we consume as buying customers to the governments we look to in leading our nations. Social media is another refuge for transparency. With millions of people noticing, it s difficult for any organization or individual to say one thing and do another. Supporters of the transparency movement say that it is a very good thing; after all, transparency is serving to keep people honest and up front about the products and services they sell to consumers. Many may ask the question, why is transparency so important to people. Maybe its because some people place such a high value on transparency because it can help to cause change on different levels. Changes can occur within a corporation or government, which can change the way it the government functions. Transparency can also create a change in the way government and companies relate to the public. • 8. An Important Part Of Interpersonal Communication Feedback is known to be an important part of interpersonal communication. It lets speakers know what impact their words are having. When others have an opportunity to respond, a dialogue is created and the content of the messages can be adjusted, or even improved. This dynamic is applied every day in health care settings. Medical professionals rely on feedback throughout their careers to enhance the quality care they provide. Patients enter clinics and emergency rooms seeking feedback from physicians about what is happening to their bodies. Together, medical staff and patients must depend on feedback to reach a diagnosis and find the best course of treatment. Physicians and other medical staff collectively examine patients: recording their vitals, taking an accurate history, and performing a thorough review of certain body systems. All of this is done based on the patients chief complaints. Their bodies are sending feedback signals, trying to tell them something is wrong, such as an infection like pneumonia. Patients cannot interpret this feedback themselves, so they seek medical services to further examine them. Sometimes the feedback patients bodies send is not very clear. Many diagnoses share signs and symptoms, so physicians should consider other factors as well. The patient may have other conditions that put them at particular risk for other problems to arise. If physicians or staff fail to further investigate in these situations, a potential for serious consequences ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn t be. And what it wouldn t be, it would. You see? Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland. Furthermore, a desire for one to bend the world as they see fit, even when what they see fit isn t meant to be. There are many ways to read the novel Alice in Wonderland , it holds not one point of view, but many which can be interpreted in several ways. Analyzed from the critical viewpoint of physiological, readers may discover some interesting and remarkable surprises. The specific point I would like to discuss today are the physiological disorders this novel holds, such as the lunatic Red Queen who was wrapped whole with narcissistic behaviors and personality disorders, the unimaginable feeling of loneliness portrayed throughout Alice s adventure, and a dream anxiety disorder/psychosis or schizophrenia which represented itself as the actual story, viewed through the main character Alice. To begin with, there are many characters in Alice in Wonderland, who, despite the normality in their world, are rather odd; all whom which held a distinctive characteristic that revolved around all their actions, words, and surroundings. • 10. Bruce Dawe Consumerism Good afternoon/morning ladies and gentlemen. Consumerism is defined by the English oxford dictionary as continual expansion of one s wants and needs for goods and services. Bruce Dawes poems Televistas and Enter Without So Much As Knocking critique the powerful and persuasive influence that companies have on our society. Consumerism leads to self gratification and the loss of life s important values such as friendship, love and religion; this is an ever growing issue that manipulates and deceives society and has done so since the beginning of the technological age. Bruce Dawes poetry highlights his concerns and devotion towards the ordinary consumer and how easily manipulated and rocked by the media they may be. He does this through the use of ironic humor, cliché, hyperbole and many other language features that are extensively used in his poetry. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The capitalization of the words HOSPITAL SILENCE presents the idea of sings which are controlling the way we live. Capitalized words again represent the words the man reads on signs. Dawe mocks these signs by including NO BREATHING EXCEPT BY ORDER which is using irony, as it is impossible to be able to control when people can and cant breathe. At the end of the poem the non capitalization of the world silence shows that it is silence rather than a gins demanding silence. There are few that you actually remember in relation to the thousands you have viewed in your lifetime. The advertisements that stick with a person have a certain wow factor, that captivates the viewerr and remains in the back of their head. The Learn for Life Foundation produced a commercial for their Set Yourself Free campaign. This ineffective ad was used to scare the teens of Australia away from the mistake of missing school, using pathos and logos as their means of manipulation. A group of friends in conservative school uniforms hop through a window and over a fence, to freedom. One of the groups companions pulls up to their point of escape in an old Volkswagen esques van, joyfully waving his buddies to get in. As the group enters the van two of their peers still trapped behind the previously jumped fence stare in disapproval and attempt to dissuade their classmates from leaving school. The video then cuts to the teens in their van cruising down the highway smiling, laughing, and trading their confining uniforms for liberating everyday clothes. After their trip down the freeway the group slips through an old, rusted chain link fence, in order to arrive at their final destination, the beach. • 20. The Norman Conquest By Marc Morris, The Narrative Of The... The Norman Conquest by Marc Morris is a narrative of the Norman invasion of 1066. Since the events happened so long ago, there are many incomplete accounts of the events. Even these incomplete accounts are usually heavily biased. As such, it is a difficult undertaking for a historian to construct a cohesive summary of the period. Nevertheless, Marc Morris attempted the task, and did an admirable job. It is written as a narrative, but has enough detail to satisfy a student of history. Morris begins by exploring the history of one of the few sources that remain of the Norman invasion, the Bayeux tapestry. The tapestry has had a long history of trading hands and escaping harm seemingly miraculously. According to Morris, the Bayeux tapestry has survived looting in the French Revolution, was owned by Napoleon Bonaparte for a time, and was stolen by Nazis during their occupation of France in World War II. Aside from its own fascinating history, the tapestry itself is not a flawless source. Morris points out that it is in fact incomplete, as it abruptly stops at Harold Godwinson s death. It was also in part copied from older accounts of the invasion and therefore is not a primary source. It is also non committal in its portrayal of events and the captions are for the most part willfully obscure or ambiguous (p. 4). In other words, it seems intended more to be a narrative than as a factual historical record. Exact dates are often not given for important events, such as the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned (in syzygy ) exactly, or very closely so, with the Earth in the middle. Hence, a lunar eclipse can only occur the night of a full moon. The type and length of an eclipse depend upon the Moon s location relative to its orbital nodes. Unlike a solar eclipse, which can only be viewed from a certain relatively small area of the world, a lunar eclipse may be viewed from anywhere on the night side of the Earth. Shorter wavelengths are more likely to be scattered by the air molecules and the small particles, and so by the time the light has passed through the atmosphere, the longer wavelengths dominate. This resulting light we perceive as red. This is the same effect that causes sunsets and sunrises to turn the sky a reddish color; an alternative way of considering the problem is to realize that, as viewed from the Moon, the Sun would appear to be setting (or rising) behind the Earth. The amount of refracted light depends on the amount of dust or clouds in the atmosphere; this also controls how much light is scattered. In general, the dustier the atmosphere, the more that other wavelengths of light will be removed (compared to red light), leaving the resulting light a deeper red color. This causes the resulting coppery red hue of the Moon to vary from one eclipse to the next. Volcanoes are notable for expelling large quantities of dust into the atmosphere, and a large eruption shortly before an eclipse can have a large effect on the resulting color. Hatred can be defined as deep feeling of resentment or anger toward another person, group, or thing. It has caused violent acts of anger and rage. Hate crimes are crimes that are motivated by racial, sexual, or other prejudice, typically one involving violence (Oxford Dictionary). An example of a hate crime is the murder of an African American man, by a group of white men, in Mississippi. This crime carries several characteristics of hate crime, and supports the Social Dominance Theory. The first characteristic that this hate crime exhibited is that the haters took time to go look for an African American to victimize in an unfamiliar area. A group of white men, who disliked black people, went to a party in Puckett. There they discussed going to Mississippi capital to find African Americans to harass. The men went to Mississippi, and bullied unknown black men and women during the night. The white driver, Deryl Dedmon, drove over a black man named James Craig Anderson with his vehicle, killing him.
