Cultural Essay Topics
1. Cultural Essay Topics
Writing an essay on the topic of "Cultural Essay Topics" can prove to be a challenging yet
intellectually stimulating endeavor. The complexity arises from the vast and diverse nature of
cultural subjects, as they encompass a broad spectrum of themes, ranging from historical
traditions to contemporary societal norms. Selecting a specific focus within this expansive
domain requires careful consideration and research to ensure a coherent and insightful
exploration.
One difficulty lies in navigating the intricate tapestry of cultures across the globe. It demands a
comprehensive understanding of various customs, beliefs, and practices, necessitating thorough
research and a nuanced approach. Moreover, cultural topics often involve sensitive subjects, and
writers must exercise cultural sensitivity and avoid stereotypes or biases.
Crafting a compelling cultural essay also entails delving into the interconnectedness of cultures
and addressing the dynamic nature of cultural evolution. This requires a deep dive into historical
contexts, societal changes, and the impact of globalization, making the essay a multifaceted
exploration rather than a mere surface-level analysis.
Additionally, the challenge lies in presenting an original perspective or thesis that contributes
meaningfully to the existing discourse on cultural topics. Finding a unique angle or insight
requires creativity and critical thinking. Balancing personal opinions with scholarly research and
presenting a well-supported argument adds another layer of complexity.
Despite these challenges, writing on cultural essay topics offers a chance for personal growth and
a deeper understanding of the world. It requires writers to be open-minded, empathetic, and
respectful of diverse perspectives. The process demands time, dedication, and a genuine passion
for exploring the intricacies of human societies.
In conclusion, tackling an essay on "Cultural Essay Topics" is a demanding yet rewarding task
that requires a careful blend of research, cultural awareness, and analytical thinking. It is an
opportunity to engage with the richness of human experience and contribute to the ongoing
dialogue on cultural diversity. For those seeking assistance with such essays or exploring other

2. Boredom And Burnout Analysis
Within Chapter 8 of On Being a Therapist, Kottler (2010) discusses how boredom
and burnout can impact various professional and personal aspects of a therapist s
life. If left untreated for an extensive period of time, boredom and burnout can
become chronic and incurable for a therapist. Therefore, I believe it is imperative for
a therapist to be proactive with taking care of themselves, in order to avoid the
consequences that result from boredom and burnout. As it pertains to boredom in this
profession, I think boredom can be uncomfortable for a therapist, but it can also help
re energize a therapist. Specifically, because it can give a therapist the opportunity to
reflect on their clinical practice, quality of work, areas of improvement, ways to
balance... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As it pertains to clock watching by therapists, therapists of different cultures view
time differently. In particular, therapists from certain cultures believe time will wait
and benefit the therapist. However, I think these types of therapists still experience
boredom, but perhaps not as often as other therapists.
There are several reasons why therapists often experience boredom. However, I
believe therapists often experience boredom due to their expectations of their clients
presenting problems, behaviors, and progress during therapy. Unfortunately,
boredom can significantly impact a therapist s quality of work, clinical skills, and
willingness to take risks and try new therapeutic strategies. As a method to reduce
the prevalence of boredom, I think it would behoove therapists to try and remain in
the flow of therapy, be innovative in their counseling approach, and be open to re
vamping their counseling approach in order to stay energized and engaged in their
work. In addition, I also think therapists can benefit from having a
3. Pros And Cons Of Ebola
The common factor in the previously mentioned military depictions is the external
component: in all the listed metaphors and narrative conventions, the danger or risk
is foreign an alien element intruding in a previously balanced and healthy organism
(or society) and attacking it. As we determined previously, western societies were
well aware of Ebolaand its dangers but panic seems to have only struck once the
disease made it overseas. Sociologist Deborah Lupton gives a rather adequate insight
as to why this is: in her book entitled Risk, she found that people, by nature, tend to
overestimate risk once it becomes more likely to happen to themselves (Lupton,
1999, p. 21). She adds that risks that are seen to be rare but memorable tend to be
overestimated while those that are considered to be common and... Show more

Unlike HIV or other global viruses, Ebola is until this day geographically restrained,
facilitating the deduction that the responsible originated from West Africa or returned
from areas confirmed as danger zones. The list of suspects is indeed rather short: it
amounts to Western Africans travelling to America and U.S. citizen contaminated in
the same region. The latter category is, as cases in the western world indicate,
consisted virtually exclusively of humanitarian helpers and health personal having
been in contact with Ebola patients. Albeit these categories are subject to broad
generalizations, they are the fruit of the apparent human condition to investigate,
regardless of the rationality behind the reasoning. Seale baptised these generalisations
health imagined communities (Seale, 2007, p. 92). Lupton emphasized on the
experience that constructed risk communities don t differ from real risk communities
as much in their consequences as they do in their
4. Space Exploration Of Space
Space exploration has brought with it numerous advances and changes to the world.
Included in these changes are the significant impacts to America s cultural landscape.
America s cultural perception has been shaped by fear, patriotism, and a division
between the Country. Throughout Margaret Lazarus Dean s memoir Leaving Orbit,
she explored many of these changes as they happened throughout the almost sixty
years that American s, and the world, have been leaving Earth. Dean delves into the
initial launches throughout the 50 s and 60 s, describing both the unease and loyalty
to country that drove space flight forward and allowed for the cultural landscape
American s live in today.
One of the first cultural changes that came with the space program occurred before
America s first capsule even left the Earth. The American people s fright over what
the Soviets could do with this new technology of space travel was the driving factor
into pushing for space flight. Fear grew exponentially in the late fifties and early
sixties as the first Russian satellites were launched and the possibilities of what the
Soviet Union could do with those capabilities weighed heavily on American minds.
[T]he degree to which Americans were shaken by Sputnik is all but incomprehensible
to people born too late to remember the Cold War... And what was to stop it from
raining weapons down upon Americans from that vantage point... It is fair to say the
Sputnik completely changed the way Americans in positions
5. Determining The Marginal Tax Bracket Essay
If I had a friend who did not want to move up the tax bracket and take the raise, I
would insure him that they would still be making more money with the raise. To
explain the marginal tax bracket to my friend, I would first show them the chart.
Even though their pay would move them to a greater bracket, they only have to
pay a partial percentage of the dollar amount they bring in for income. Everyone
pays a percent of each income bracket range they are in this is different from
someone paying the highest percentage on their total income. For example, if my
friend was making 85000 and has now been offered a raise to 95000 dollars they
would be switching taxbrackets. They would go from paying 25 percent of 85000 to
28 percent of 95000. Where they might be confused is if they look at the tax
bracket and see that their new raise places them in the income range of 89,351
186,350. The important thing for him to take from the marginal tax bracket is that
they are only being taxed on the additional amount of money he is earning, not the
full 28 percent of 95000. To sum up the example in words, a marginal tax rateis when
a person is taxed on percent increments of their income based on the ascending tax
bracket. The tax rates in the United States are designed to be marginal because our
tax code is written to be progressive (Mitchel, 2016). If our tax system was not
marginal, there would be people who earn more money, but make less than those in a
lower tax bracket after taxes have
6. Human Resources Policies And Practices
In today s interconnected environment, the possibility to work in isolation is
infinitesimally small. Its internal, micro affects any organization, either positively or
negatively, and macro environment and so does its Human Resources policies and
practices. The internal environment is shaped by the employees, the office
technology etc.; the microenvironment relies on forces like the competitors, suppliers
and distributors. The Political, Economic, and Socio cultural, Technological,
Environmental and Legal forces, on the other hand, determine the macro
environment. Being an integral part of any Organization, it is very important for the

On the other hand, there has always been a class of people who have time and
skills but not enough money. In terms of simple economics, the on demand
economy has provided a space where the demand and supply of these players meet
and has led to the creation of a market where these forces can interact. This gives
consumers greater choices, while letting people work whenever they want and the
whole society gains because its idle resources are put to use. Startups, which act as
middlemen, have raised lots of venture capital and today we see chauffeurs,
cleaners, electricians, baby sitters, carpenters, grocery, medicines and what not
provided at our doorstep. This on demand industry not only works in the Business to
Consumer (B2C) markets but has grown profoundly in the Business to Business
(B2B) markets as well where companies can hire freelance lawyers, consultants,
scientists and experts from different fields to meet their specific business needs. The
on demand workforce is becoming so ubiquitous and popular that in near future they
will have the capacity to transform the entire service economy challenging the nature
of firms and structure of careers thus having a massive effect on the entire
workforce. The working model of the on demand industry might seem simplistic in
first glance but the intricacies of this are more nuanced at deeper levels. The
industry is growing at a fast pace where more than 50 million American workers are
7. Comparing Universal Robots (A. U. R) And Interstellar
Although there is not a vast amount of knowledge on the topics of robots, here is
what we do know. The word, robot is a generalized term that includes machines
such as the following: cyborgs, artificial intelligence (A.I.), and androids. These
robots are essentially mechanical objects or beings that are built and programmed
by humans for humans. Therefore, they are ideally limited to the capabilities
programmed into them. Robots are created with the intention of being useful
companions to society, but they may also become destructive. Overall, as
knowledge grows in this area of expertise, robots will simultaneously advance.
Rossum s Universal Robots (R.U.R), a 1920s play, and Interstellar, directed by
Christopher Nolan, are two great works that use the concept of robots. In both
storylines, a relationship is depicted between the technology of robots and the
culture of humans. I argue that in both texts there is a significant relationship
between robots and humans and the slightly contrasting roles they play in (R.U.R)
and Interstellar. This relationship is predicated on three factors. The first factor is
that the robots are built based upon the ideals and knowledge base of humans. The
second factor is the idea of human inferiority vs. robot superiority that is a question
of why this belief exists and if the superior party recognizes it. The third factor is
whether these robots want to become human and the role they play in the
advancement or downfall of society. In
8. Application Of Psychological Theory And Research Essay
Application of psychological theory and research to understanding depression
The case
James was referred to the counselling service for chronic low mood in terms of
demonstrating depressed mood, worthless and hopeless feeling, and marked
diminished interests or pleasure in university activities and social relationship
activities. Based on his background information, it seems that James early life
experiences and his developed core beliefs of self, world and future have huge
impacts on his chronic low mood symptoms.
Possible causes of James s depression
DSM 5 criteria defines major depressive disorder would be qualified for a diagnosis if
it demonstrate five or more of the following symptoms during the same 2 week period
and represent a change from previous functioning: depressed mood, marked
diminished interests or pleasure in activities, significant changes in weight or
appetite, insomnia/hypersomnia, psychomotor agitation, fatigue, hopeless and
worthless feelings, diminished concentration, and suicide thoughts or intentions
(Kosslyn, Rosenberg, Lambert, 2012). Previous literatures have identified a number
of possible causes that may lead to depression, such as genetics, brain differences,
social factors like poverty, ethnicity, and childhood experience (Read, J. Sanders, P.,
2010). There are different schools that use different theories as the basis to analyse
how psychological problems and symptoms start and develop into life affecting
depression and distress.
9. The Pastoral Institute Research Paper
Agency Paper: The Pastoral Institute
Introduction
Pastoral counseling is a significant and important part of the counseling field, which
is what sparked my interest when choosing an agency. It was important to me to find
out how they used their spiritual basis in counseling to help their clients and the
community, and whether or not they are able to help and reach culturally diverse
groups effectively. Also, due to the strict nature of religion, I also wanted to find out
whether their counseling practices placed any restrictions on their clients and those
they choose to affiliate themselves with. Initially, I spoke with an intake
coordinator at the facility who gave me a brief overview of the agency s mission,
goals, and history, as well as the services they provide both directly and indirectly.
However, due to her limited knowledge of these subjects, she suggested that I speak
to the clinical director, Ms. Donna Plummer, who she felt could provide me with
more detailed information. Ms. Donna Plummer is Licensed Professional Counselor

The mission of The Pastoral Institute is to care for the emotional, relational, and
spiritual needs of people. The mission falls in line with the vision of The Pastoral
Institute, which is to help inspire and empower people to love, serve, and live
meaningfully. When discussing the goals and objectives of The Pastoral Institute
from a counseling aspect, the most important goal is to restore emotional, mental,
spiritual, and family well being. The objective is to holistically solve the client s
problems by integrating science, religion, and humanistic values. Recent studies show
that religious beliefs and practices are supportive to cope with stresses in life and are
beneficial to mental health (Verghese,
10. Oppression Of Women In Society Essay
Due to the time period, one is raised in there are certain things that are considered
to be the norm. In the late 1900 s women had no voice to speak out or give any of
their opinions regarding any matters. In those types of society s, the women are
oppressed because the males were dominant. Edna Pontellier from The Awakening
by Kate Chopin and Janie Crawford from Their eyes were watching God by Zora
Neale Hurstonare two women who are oppressed in the society they are brought up in.
The role of women in traditional societies was to tend to the house and the
children. Women in those societies had no say in anything or in most cases men
took away their voices. Now in our society women are able to speak out and do as
they please. Men in those society s wanted money, power, food on the table and for
their women/wives to just be quiet and to sit back and be pretty. Although these
women were from different backgrounds they were both dominated by the men and
their family members. Leonce Pontellier (Edna s Husband) dominated Edna by being
a good husband and showering her with gifts and valuables. Mrs. Pontellier was
always very generous with the contents of such a box, she was quite used to
receiving them when away from home...And the ladies selecting with dainty and
discriminating fingers and a little greedily, all declared that Mr. Pontellier was the
best husband in the world. Mrs. Pontelier was forced to admit that she knew of none
better. (Chopin.18 19) The fact that she s

A terrorist Tunnel: Issues concerning Canada s borders and the present threat of

Preface
From the FLQ (Front de Liberation du Quebec) crisis to the recent acts of terrorism
by Singh Rayet and the Tiger group, terrorism has found a place in Canadian society.
Because of this, in the last 50 years, Canada has developed several reactionary
policies, and control/Prevention mechanisms to deal with terrorism, including
Trudeau s enforcement of the War Measures Act during Black October in reaction to
internal terrorism, to the more recent development of the CSIS Act (Canadian

allowed the Fed Gov to rule over all areas of Canada. Under the Act, anyone in
relation or suspicoin of being related to the FLQ could be arrested withou a warrant,
and without being officailly charged.
This action on the part of Trudeau caused much controversy, and had ripples even as
far as Vancouver, where the freedom of individuals was temporarily evoked.
Canada did not joke around with the terrorist threat of the FLQ, and from that
incident developed further policies on prevention of terrorism, which are in affect to
this day.
The question on the definition of terrorsim completely depends on the viewpoints of

Among the all skills listening is different between hearing and listening (Sunita,
Mishra C.Murali krishna, 2006).
Listening is perhaps the most essential skill for second/foreign (L2) language
learning, particularly at the beginning stages. It internalises the rules of language and
facilitates the emergence of other language skills (Stella Hurd and Tim lewis,
2008).Communication is vital part of our daily lives .we sit in a school listen to the

most common form of dyadic communication. It links people together, be it in

The way in which an organization tackles diversity determines its negative or positive
outcome. All the 5 companies agreed that diversity has contributed to their success.
Some barriers were identified in managing diversity like the difficulties faced by
women in managing the work and family, fear of discrimination, resistance to change,
diversity is not seen as an organizational priority, resistance to change and
unsupportive working environment for diverse employees. Diversity contributes to
more productivity but if not properly managed could hinder success. Research 3 [3]

in performance of the companies in the same country and same industry implies that
diversity serves a competitive differentiator. Certain companies focus on gender
diversity and others focus on ethnic and racial diversity but no company in the top
quartile focus on both. Companies which have greater diversity are able to attract top
talent, improve internal and external customer satisfaction, improve decision making

14. Essay On Acid-Base Extraction
Discussion
By using acid base extraction techniques, a three component mixture was separated
into its individual components which included an acidic, basic, and neutral
component as previously mentioned. A separatory funnel was the mechanism used
to carry out this procedure. Its easy handling allowed for thorough mixing of the
solution. It was equipped with a stopper which was opened to release pressure
from inside the funnel caused by the heat from one s hands and also the reactions
taking place within it (1). Without inverting the funnel and relieving pressure the
funnel would ve exploded. The stopcock was useful for precisely drawing off each
layer. However, if the separatory funnel had been shaken too violently an emulsion
would ve formed. An emulsion is when the layers do not clearly separate. Instead,
one cloudy layer will form. During this procedure an emulsion was avoided by using
proper gently swirling technique.
Acid base extraction works on the principle that most organic compounds are more
soluble in organic solvents than in water (4). Extractions are also dependent on the
assumption that immiscible solvents of different densities will settle on top of one
another accordingly. Diethyl ether was the chosen extraction solvent for this
procedure because it is slightly soluble in water, and organic compounds are most
often soluble in it, and also its low boiling point. The only drawback of using diethyl
ether was its high flammability. Diethyl ether readily

So, we all know of the fictional fairy tale of Cinderella, but what if we changed the
facts around in a new order, changing the different characters rolls in the story and
their apparel. Most look at this story as a love story, but what if we changed the
story to a new conspiracy of fiction. How will these changes affect the outcome of
this fairy tale? Well let s find out.
Once upon a time there was a young girl named Emma who was a kind hearted
young girl, who loved the company of her animals so much she could find comfort
during difficult times. Especially when her mother Ava passed away in dreary times.
Her father William was a traveling man who did his do dilatants of hard work and
because of this fact, he was unable to be of comfort to her. However, Emma and her
father had a very strong relationship, and she understood the reason of his long
travels. She started to implode, for she no company half the time and the daily
chores were finished, she would find herself imagining a reality where Ava was
still alive, and they would convers and enjoy a hot cup of tea, where used to
together by the fire place. Then she is forced to realize she is only imagining
memories. Following these episodes Emma also started to resent her father for
always being gone on is travels of business, that sometimes she caught herself saying
most unbelievable things in the back of her mind.
William, soon remarried to a very sweet and kind hearted widow Isabella with two
very hateful daughters Sophia and Abigail, who treated her very poorly with little

instance, Sophia and Abigail always had the best dresses and apparel while she
would take the second best. It finally came time for Emma to meet her new step
mother and sisters, when her father arrived back home from a long trip. Emma was
in no state of mind nor was she ready to let somebody else take her mothers place in
her heart. Following these events William was leaving on another business trip
when he suddenly had a severe heart attack passing away instantly. This was just
three years after the passing of her mother, so Emma was not the same person giving

18. Cardiovascular Disease Vs Heart Disease
Heart disease describes a range of conditions that affect your heart. Diseases under
the heart disease umbrella include blood vessel diseases, such as coronary artery
disease; heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias); and heart defects you re born with
(congenital heart defects), among others . (1) Many people will either use the term
cardiovascular disease or heartdisease to describe a cardiovascular disease.
Cardiovascular disease generally refers to conditions that involve narrowed or
blocked blood vessels that can lead to a heart attack, chest pain (angina) or stroke.
Other heart conditions, such as those that affect your heart s muscle, valves or
rhythm, also are considered forms of heart disease . (1) A person might not be
diagnosed with cardiovascular disease until they experience a cardiovascular
episode. Which is very scary if you think about it? That is why it is extremely
important to watch for known symptoms. Cardiovascular disease symptoms may be
different for men and women. For instance, men are more likely to have chest pain;
women are more likely to have other symptoms along with chest discomfort, such as
shortness of breath, nausea and extreme fatigue. If any of these symptoms are noticed
especially in tandem with one another a person needs to discuss any of these concerns
immediately with their physician. Cardiovascular disease can sometimes be found
early and treated better with regular evaluations.
Heart disease is the leading reason of demise for both

there was something that challenges the environment. The next step is the

21. The Power of Habit
First off, we are creatures. We are animals. We re very sophisticated and good
looking and all that, but let s never forget that we re made of flesh and blood. In
particular, our brains are incredibly complex evolved machines. Our brains govern
basic processes such as breathing and food intake, and also enable us to appreciate
the finer points of John Cleeses performances in Fawlty Towers.
As creatures, we have needs. We need to eat, and so we eat. As rather intelligent
and social creatures, we like to chat with one another, and so we do. We take turns
and finish our conversations gracefully. And there are dozens and dozens more
behaviors that are just as complicated, if not more so. How on Earth do we get all of
this done?
That s where ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
No writer feels like he is writing enough. We all watch too much television, spend too
much time on Facebook, or waste our writing time doing other things. For beginning
writers, the problem is especially acute. With no editor giving a deadline, no fans
clamoring for the next installment, and no writing income, there is literally no
incentive to write at least not consistently. Beginners might write when they are
inspired, but with so many other things pulling them away from the writing desk,
how can they stick with it for the months and years it takes to carve out a writing
career?
On the other hand, most professional writers write every day. Not because they are
inspired more often, not because they have more free time, and not because they are
neglecting other parts of their lives. Pros write every day for one simple yet
powerful reason. They ve made it a habit.
We tend to think of habits as bad (smoking, cussing, biting your fingernails) but
they can also be good (walking the dog, oatmeal for breakfast, a weekly date with
your spouse). THE POWER OF HABIT shows how easily habits form. They rely
on three simple things a cue, a routine, and a reward and don t take long to stick.
Our brains love habits. They allow us to be efficient. They help us do things like
drive a car without constant self monitoring. Once we learn where the brake pedal is
and how hard to press the

The dominant logic of marketing is shifting from the exchange of goods toward
service, interactivity, connectivity and ongoing relationships (Vargo and Lusch 2004).
Technological innovations, new channels, and changing media environments
facilitate this shift (Bhattacharya and Bolton 2000), and the question of how firms
24. should interact with their customers is gaining in importance, especially as firms
consider the cost differences between traditional communications media, such as
television and sales forces, and electronic media, such as the Web and email (Reinartz
et al. 2005). The cost efficiency and interactivity of digital channels facilitate ongoing
dialogue between the enterprise and the customer (see e.g.
Deighton and Barwise 2000; Peppers and Rogers 2004). Marketers can now be in
touch with their customers on a more frequent basis and increase the level of
personalization and interactivity with low or non excessive cost. Our main claim is
that being frequently in touch with customers should help achieve positive effects on
customer loyalty.
For instance, customers can be offered additional information and brand
communication when buying products or

At the same time, for the purpose of using the democratic process as a strategy to
implement Shari a law, the Muslim Brotherhood named its political arm as the
Islamic Action Front. Both the Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamic Action

was necessary to allow the Jordanian Muslim Brotherhoodto maintain its control
over social services and spreading dawa a, while on the other hand provide the
Islamic Action Front with the platform to establish a political agenda. Upon
submitting the application to the Minister of the Interior, that included the
Memorandums of Association, and a list of the founding member names that fulfill
the conditions specified by article Five of the Political Parties Law, in December
1992, the Islamic Action Front was officially licensed as a political party. In total,
the founding members of the Islamic Action Front consisted of three hundred forty

disproportionality between the founding membership and the overall population of
Jordan. At the time the Islamic Action Front movement was established, half the
population of Jordan was under the age of sixteen. But, out of the three hundred
fifty three founders, 33 percent were professionals, 51 percent were civil servants,
and 10 percent were businessmen. Of these same founders, 56 percent were over 41

conservation is a process that our world has been trying and carefully perfecting
over the years, more so after tigers were officially put on the endangered list. Tigers
are one of the more popular endangered species in the world and because of the
public eye, the pressure for their protection is high. Mostly reserves are what
organizations focus on because they are the best answer for the tiger. So, how what
about our conservation are successful? How have they been improved? How are they

Tiger conservation and reserves been successful? Through understanding, research,

Program
Exercise Assessment The most important part of prescribing an exercise program
is the proper assessment of the client to ensure they are physically, mentally, and
healthy enough to engage in a certain type of program. With any female client 55
years of age or older, risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD) should always be
assessed. This will help determine how to properly proceed with the development
of an exercise program. According to the ACSM s Guidelines for Exercise Testing

risk for CVD (American College of Sports Medicine, 2014). If there is a known

A normal BMI range is 18.5 24.9; less than 18.5 is underweight; 25 29.9 is
overweight; and greater than or equal to 30 is considered obese. These values are
important to remember and keeping in mind those with a low BMI (less than 18.5)
greatly increases their risk for fractures in the pelvis and ribs (Compston et al., 2014) .
After assessing an individual s health status and risk for CVD, as well as gathering
anthropometric data, getting more specific with evaluating specific risks related to
osteoporosis would be the next step. With individuals who have osteoporosis,
assessing their risk for falls and fractures are two very important objectives to
developing an exercise prescription. A low BMI may tell you that an individual is
at an increased risk but there is much more that should be considered in this
assessment process. Knowing the history of a client is important and
understanding that with any type of previous fracture will also automatically
increase the individual s risk for reoccurring fractures. Also, by simply looking at
someone s standing stance can be an indicator as well, if their stance is narrower

Abstract
Sericulture is one of the oldest industries in India and Asia. Sericulture is an agro
cottage, forest based industry, labor intensive and commercially attractive economic
activity falling under the cottage and small scale sector. The silk is the final product of
this industry. It particularly suits to rural population working with agriculture,
entrepreneurs and artisans as it requires low investment with potential for relatively
higher returns. It provides income and employment to the rural poor especially,
farmers with small land holding and marginalized and weaker sections of the society.

silk industry but its production is yet to meet the targets. Women play a dominant
role in this sector, as the activities are mostly home based. Women have been

production, marketing and consumption. The involvement of women in different
activities of Sericulture is well above 53 per cent

This paper mainly focused on socio economic development, employment generation,
and sericulture sector activities in the state. Sericulture industry requires low
investment and it helps to earn higher returns in short gestation period, due to this the
farmers are getting attracted to this sector and it is a best tool to improve the rural
economy as well as to improve their living standards. It is a boon to the rural

puts the NFL as a non profit trade association which it has been under since 1942.
This statement intends me to ask what Steve Almond asked in his book Against

Imagine driving through a city. The things you see around you are: average

The next type of schizophrenia is the disorganized type. A person who has this type
suffers from the flat affect, hallucinations, and mannerisms that repeat themselves.
They also are incoherent, or they cannot understand things very well (
Schizophrenia ). My Uncle Ron is a disorganized schizophrenic, and the symptoms
that are most noticeable are the repetitive mannerisms and incoherence. He has a
rocking chair, and when he sits down in it, he sways back and forth constantly and
does so for hours on end. He also fumbles around with his hands, slides his right
hand through his hair, and he also drinks a lot of water which can be considered a
repetitive mannerism. Another aspect that is unique to his disorder is that he talks
about past events and keeps talking about them as long as he is involved in that
conversation. Unusually, Ron has an outstanding memory, and he can recall almost
every storm, minor or major, from almost all fifty years he has been alive, so he talks
about those as well.
Another type of schizophrenia is the undifferentiated type. A person who suffers from
this type may have symptoms from all of the other four types, such as hallucinations,
anger, anxiety, or disorganized thoughts and speech. The final type of schizophrenia
is the residual type. This is when a person has had the mental illness and it has
regressed, but the person still suffers from minor symptoms such as hallucinations or
the flat affect ( Schizophrenia ).

According to the book, Educational Learning Theories,
All human beings possess all nine intelligences in varying degrees. Each individual
has a different intelligence profile. Education can be improved by assessment of

occupies a different area of the brain. The nine intelligences may operate in consort or
independently from one another. These nine intelligences may define the human

persistence of gender roles and linguistic hegemony is concerned. It may also lead
you to think that it smashes patriarchal norms . But does it? Motherhood is still
considered a central tenet of female identity. This becomes starkly evident when
Sashi s son gets hurt and she fails to attend him immediately because of her English

her responsibility towards her family and not her own happiness. Sashi s choice of

We might wonder whether this decision is prompted by her respect towards Indian
values and roots or it is the patriarchal ideology that she has internalized all through
her life which makes her compromise with her own desires and priorities.
English being the lingua franca in India has established itself so firmly that even in

Dialects have remained prevalent in Italy because its mountainous terrain has helped
isolate one region from another. My father spoke the standard Italian outside the
home and the regional dialect at home. Unfortunately, my dialect leaves a lot to be

gestures more abundantly and imaginatively than other people during conversations,
especially in the south. I would often tease my father and tell him You talk without
saying a word Americans, however are more reserved in using hand gestures.
Leisure time is very important to Italians. For recreation Italians enjoy going to the
beach countryside, movies, opera, or sporting events. Soccer is by far the most
popular sport and teams wear the colors of their home city s flag a way of expressing
regional loyalty.
Italians love to eat and are passionate about their food. Italian food is also popular
outside of Italy. Pasta and pizza in particular, have become popular around the

ingredients found in their particular region, and every region has developed its own
culinary specialties. While dishes may vary from region to region, and sometimes
from family to family within the same region, there are many dishes that are common
throughout Italy. Italians traditionally eat their main meal at midday. They

In the year 224 BC, a mass wedding was held in Susa. Alexander had arranged for

notable Medes and Persians [Arrian] summing up to 80 weddings in total, all of
which the weddings were celebrated in Persian fashion. The wedding established
Alexander as the Great King of both Macedonia and Persia as he could now claim
to be the son and heir of both previous Persian kings. It also signified the transfer of
power to the Macedonians through the marriage to leading Persian women. Much
like his successors, the children of these marriages were to be taught Greek and

of Alexander s strong determination of combining both traditions. However, upon
Alexander s death, all the men divorced their wives with the exception of
Hephaestion (who died eight months prior to Alexander) and Seleucus. This showed
how much Alexander s men disliked his

CEO must ensure that the people working for the company will hold the same
standard as the CEO. The people and the systems that they use for reporting and
accounting are all the CEO has to back them when issues arise that may question
the integrity of the CEO. In the case of Kozlowski, it appears that the right system

41. The True Meaning of DanteВґs Inferno Essay
Religious people always fear that they will not make it to Heaven or the place their
God resides. The bible and other religious text give advice on how to avoid the pain
of Hell. Dante Alighieri, a famous Italian poet, wrote about the physical description of
Hell and the punishments each sinner would receive for their sins. Although The
Divine Comedychronicles Dante s journey from the depths of Hellto the glory of
Heaven it contains a deeper meaning. Dante reveals the true meaning of the Inferno
through his leading motif, his interactions between the sinners, and the intertwining
of other literary works into the Inferno. The repeated motif of the number three is
used to represent the Holy Trinity and all things holy. The first... Show more content

This indulgent type of behavior is seen in the sinners in the second through sixth
circle of hell. The lion represents the sin of violence. Dante describes the lion as
approaching with a ravenous hunger. Even the air was afraid of the lion. Dante
choose the lion to represent violence because they are known as the kings of the
jungle. Their powerful legs and long teeth allow them to quickly take down and
kill their prey. Male lions contain pride that causes them to violently fight to remain
the head of their pack. This violent behavior can be found in the seventh layer of
hell where the tyrants, killers, and war hungry sinners reside. The leopard
represents malice. Dante choose the leopard because they may be the smallest of
the four big cats (tiger, lion, jaguar, and leopard) it still has the capability to take
down prey up to twice its size. The leopard also is an equal opportunity killer. They
will hunt down any prey for food. Some have even been known to attack people on
occasion. This type of malicious behavior can be found on the 8th and 9th circles of
hell. These two circles of hell contain the worst sinners known to man. Soon after his
encounter with the three beasts Dante meets the spirit of his idol a poet named
Virgil. It is h ere that we see another three. Virgil informs him that three women sent
him to be Dante s guide. As his guide Virgil leads Dante through the nine circles of
hell often with the words

43. Advantages Of Living In Igloos
College students are unique people. The majority of incoming college freshman
are young and inexperienced human beings who just got pushed out of their nest
by their eager mother birds. College is like getting pushed out of a nest: many will
either learn to fly or will fall hard to the ground. Although the ground may be a nice
place to settle, earning a degree allows people to fly and explore the world of
furthering their education. What about the college students who are being pushed out
of a nest into the freezing cold of Alaska? With living expenses being so high, it s no
wonder a mother bird would push her baby birds out to save money on the monthly
gas and electric bills. The best solution to battle the high cost of living in Alaska
for students is that more Alaskan college students should be living in igloos this
coming winter. Incoming college freshman in Alaska should be required to live in
igloos. The average costs of room and board, tuition, books and everything in
college is outrageously expensive! Most college freshmen prefer to live on campus
throughout their first year of college, but what if there was an easier, cost effective
way to live near campus without the expenses of living in a dormitory? Fortunately,
there is plenty of snow during the winter months to build igloo domes. An igloo is
typically structured out of blocks of ice and snow. This was the primary method of
shelter most commonly used by the Alaskan indigenous population before civilization

Decision Making:
I believe the wisest decision for Tom to make would be to contact the EPA and
report the oversight to be investigated; because it would be the right thing to do
ethically for the preservation of life on a planet that thrives on coexistence. The
aquatic ecosystem is empowered by the Clean Water Act, the EPA strives to manage,
protect and restore the water resources and ecosystems of the nation s marine and
fresh waters ( Ecosystems Science Resources ). Through this act, the office of water,
ensures that drinking water is safe, and restores and maintains oceans, watersheds,
and their aquatic ecosystems to protect human health and provides a healthy habitat
for fish, plants, and wildlife ( Summary of the Clean Water Act ). Although the

The second option that could be best for this situation is that Tom could go over
Mr. Morie s head and speak to a higher level manager. Although Mr. Maurie and the
engineers might lose their jobs, the company could correct the problem before it has
its consequential effects on the ecosystem. The company could go on without
penalties or fear of being shut down, they could build a larger client base due to
being a trustworthy, and Tom could have the opportunity to finish his internship and
come back to work for the firm with a great outlook for future promotion for being
able to identify and aiding to fix a catastrophic mistake. Hence, by go over the

while protecting the ecosystem from a catastrophe, the company wouldn t be

45. Water Pollution In Water
The topic that was chosen was turbidity. Turbidity is the pollution in water. Turbidity
is commonly associated with cloudiness or haziness in water. The pollution that
studied was dirt and how it affected fish. It is important because it is killing our
wildlife. There needs to get teams of people each month going out and cleaning up
the water. If the dirt in the water affected the fishthen the experimental group would
die. During the time of researching this topic, it was discovered how different this
world has changed, the types of creatures have been affected by pollution.
Too much caffeine can affect sleep. Too much algae or sediment in lakes/ streams
can make them unlivable for aquatic life.Turbidity is caused by particles suspended
or dissolved in water that scatter light making the water appear cloudy or
murky.Turbidity is the cloudiness or haziness of a fluid caused by large numbers of
individual particles that are generally invisible to the naked eye, similar to smoke in
air.
In this project, dirt had been used to change the conditions of the environment and
see how these fish would react. During which there was an opposite tank with
normal water, a filter and 5 fish. The other tank had been used with a container, dirt,
and five fish as well.
During this projects it was tested to see how each fish would react to the water.
Most of the fish in the dirty water have died, all but 2. More of the fish died in this
tank then the normal water tank.

During the past couple years , all college sports have gained a lot of fans in the
country. Weather it is football, baseball or basketball ever since the NFL lost some
popularity, college sports have racked in an intense amount of money in their college
Universities, some may even say they amped up the amount of popularity the College

This paper will address the Securities and Exchange Commission s rationale for
charging Cardillo executives with the violations outlined in the case study and
identify who was in violation or compliance with the AICPA s Code of Professional
Conduct and the reasons they were or were not complying. This paper will also
analyze the actions taken by Cardillo s outside auditors, evaluate the level of
efficiency of the auditriskmanagement, determine whether or not the five
components of internal controls were being properly followed and argue for or
against whether auditors have a responsibility to assess the judgment of the
decisions made by Cardillo s management. Cardillo Travel Systems, Inc. was
acquired in 1956 by Arnold Walter Rognlien who at the time was an established
auto parts salesman. The company quickly became the fourth largest company in
the travel agency industry and the first to be listed on a national stock exchange
(Rittenberg, Johnstone, Gramling Knapp, 2012). In 1986, the company experienced
financial hardship due to liquidation problems and a civil lawsuit requiring them to
pay $685,000. To make matters worse that same year the company was at the center
of a financial reporting scandal when the SEC investigated claims that it received a
payment from United Airlines for $203,000 and did not disclose the specifics of the
transaction to auditors, shareholders or the public. The SEC filed a complaint in 1987

49. How Did Richard Daley Become Mayor
Introduction Richard Joseph Daley was mayor for about six terms and he
deserved to be the mayor. He would go through struggles, achievements, the stress
of having so many elections, and complaints from other candidates or the people of
Chicago. How did Richard J. Daley s political experiences shape him to become
mayor? Richard Daley was most known for politics and working with budgets. He
expressed those hobbies while mayor. Daley was a very extraordinary man and
mayor, without him Chicagoprobably wouldn t be the same and neither would politics.

50. Rugby Uniforms Research Paper
In sports history, clothing can easily help teammates, supportive fans, and coaches
identify who the team players are and what country, school, or club they are a part
of, but rugby and football clothing are slightly different. Throughout time, rugby
uniforms have been modified, but they are still the same in some areas. In the past,
jerseys were somewhat similar to polo shirts. On the back, they had a specific
assigned number and their team colors were striped horizontally. Also on a few
shirts they have a rose on them or a nice plant that represents their club team. They
still have these old fashioned uniforms in some club leagues. New and improved
uniforms have their solid leading team color with their first initial and last names and
number

52. The Federalist Debates
There is a long history of conflict between federal and state power in the United Sates.
Federalism in the U.S. started with the need for a central power to unite the country
after the Revolutionary War, and with the failure of the Articles of the Confederation.
The Constitution was the solution and federalismwas one of its four political
principles. The Federalist Debates followed the adoption of the Constitution. The
debate was between the Federalists and the Anti Federalists, the Federalists supported
the Constitution s idea of a strong central government and believed that the
Confederation was too weak while the Anti Federalists, on the other hand, supported
the Confederation and believed a federal government was too far removed from the...

One of the many purposes of a federal government is to maintain unity and solve
problems that affect the entire nation; if there was no uniting force, the states would
act like their own separate countries, deciding on laws, policies, and leadership as
they please, that would ultimately lead to conflict and unrest. Some would argue that
power should return to the states as it was in the beginning, however too much
individual power can cause a rift to grow between the states and cause the nation to
lack unity and relative consistency. Take right

health centers. The provision of these services indicates that the campuses are aware
of the risk for their student population to be infected with either an STD or HIV;
however, Tougaloo and Jackson State were founded from religious foundations and
therefore may pose increased stigma for those infected with STDs and HIV.

54. Explosive Traces and Forensic Analysis
Explosives are used for a variety of applications from military operations to
mining. However, these materials can also be used in criminal investigations such
as terrorists who threaten harm or cause death and destruction. Explosives can be
categorised into two main forms: high explosives and low explosives. High
explosives are explosive materials that detonate. This means that the explosive
shock passes through the material at a speed, faster than the speed of sound. High
explosives generally detonate with an explosive velocity ranging from 3 to 9 km
/s. Low explosive are compounds where the rate of decomposition proceeds
through the material at a speed less than the speed of sound. The decomposition is
spread by a flame. This is known as deflagration. Under normal conditions, low
explosives undergo deflagration at rates varying from a few centimetres per second
to roughly 400 metre per second. It is possible for low explosives to deflagrate
extremely quickly producing an effect which is similar to detonation of high
explosives. This usually occurs when ignited in a confined space and can happen due
to high pressure or high temperatures. The detection and/or identification of trace
amounts of explosives is an important aspect of forensic investigations. Some
methods of detection can also identify the explosives, some cannot for example the
use of canine detection, and the dog can smell the explosive but cannot say what it is.

55. Describe The Relationship Between Organelles And
Eukaryotes
a.
Firstly, the cytoskeleton is one of the many membrane bound organelles which is
only found in eukaryotic cells and not prokaryotic counterparts. The cytoskeleton is a
series of proteins within the cell which provides the cell with shape and support. The
cytoskeleton also mediates some aspects of movement by helping the cell move in its
environment and by controlling the movement of other cell components. A second
organelle which eukaryotes possess and prokaryotes do not possess includes the
Golgi apparatus. The Golgi apparatus initiates Golgi bodies towards modifying,
sorting, and packaging macromolecules for cell secretion (also known as
exocytosis). The Golgi bodies also modify and regulate proteins which are provided
by the ER. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some the evidence for this theory include the mitochondria and plastids which can
be identified in a eukaryot; however, prokaryotes originally also have the same
functional capabilities as the mitochondria, as well as plastids. Perhaps the
mitochondria s development is simply a result of condensing the process of energy
creation into a single organelle and the development of plastids was a result of
prokaryotes also being capable of completing a similar task; however, felt the need
for condensing this task into a single
