Though Luckin Coffee is not a direct competitor, we can learn alot on its digital-
first strategy. In fact , I have seen this first-hand as a Luckin Coffee outlet
without menus and without cash payments opened in Waterway Point last
month and the Starbucks outlet nearby closed to renovate its space (incumbent
response). I tried ordering via app when they first opened and they delivered
earlier than the expected time.
