Essay On Internship
INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Internship is an opportunity offered by various companies to potential students or candidates,
called as "interns", to work in the firm for a limited or fixed time period. Internship offers
students lot of exposure to the practical world and provides practical experiences in the industry
relating to their field of study. This becomes a valuable experience as it allows us to understand
how our studies are applied in the "real world", and it gives a good picture for our Curriculum Vitae`.
Internships can also be called as job training for professional careers. Internships generally, consists
exchange of ideas and services for experience between students and organizations. Some interns find
permanent, paid programme with the organizations for which they worked. This gives a benefit to
the employer as they do not have to search for a new employee, as the interns are trained previously
and they are less demanding. Internship experiences provide the opportunity to apply classroom
theories into the real world, thus it enhances the student's academic and their career goals.
Internships in India are career specific, college and school students often choose internships based on
the branch of study at their University. Internships for MBA graduates are the most common thing in

Essay Growing Up
When I Grow Up..
"Being 'grown up' isn't as fun as the idea of growing up."
–AmberGrace Seguin
Remember when we were young and all we could think of was growing up and getting to do
'grownup' things? We spent our whole childhood thinking of what we would do when we finally
'grew up', and here we are, almost completely grown up and we still haven't made up our mind of
what it is we will do when we grow up. We've painted this pretty little picture in our head of what
it'll be like when we eventually do grow up, and when it finally comes for the picture to be taken off
the wall and put into action, it's not nearly as fun as creating the painting.

"The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent; the day he
forgives them, he becomes an adult; the day he forgives himself, he becomes wise." –Alden Nowlan
As we continue to grow up, we learn that being grown up is not as we imagined it. We once
convinced ourselves that growing up was the goal to achieve, and life would be much better once
we were in fact grown up. When we in fact do grow up, we think back at our youth and laugh
because we thought growing up was the most wondrous thing to accomplish, but now, more than
ever, we crave for our youth; for the days we would sit in the grass and daydream of what we are to
become when we grow up; and finally for the days when life was simple and we could imagine it
any which way we wanted it and no one could do a thing about it.
"A grownup is a child with layers on." –Woody

Civil Engineering Essay
CIVIL ENGINEERING
Civil engineering is the oldest of the main branches of engineering. Civil engineers use their
knowledge to supervise and plan construction projects such as roads, airports, bridges, canals,
tunnels, and wastewater systems. They also collaborate with architects to design and construct
various types of buildings. Some other civil engineering endeavors include highways, airports,
pipelines, railroads, levees, and irrigation and sewage systems. Civil engineers try to design their
structures to be functional, efficient and durable. Most of the projects civil engineers are involved

They could be promoted to positions such as department heads and senior or project managers.
Advanced degrees as well as registration as a professional engineer also bolster ones chances of
advancement.
The current employment outlook for civil engineers in Wisconsin is favorable. Those seeking jobs in
the field will find very good employment opportunities. This holds true throughout the nation and is
also the long–term employment outlook. The factors that effect employment of civil engineers
include economic conditions, population growth, and investment in public infrastructures. The
Wisconsin average salary for civil engineering positions ranges from $47,400 to $60,600. The
national average starts at $47,400 and goes as high as $68,500. Many employees enjoy generous
benefit packages that include paid vacation and sick leave as well as health and dental insurance,
retirement plans, and profit sharing.
The education path for civil engineers begins with high school courses. Students who have an
interest in entering the field of civil engineering should take a college preparatory curriculum which
includes natural resources conservation, environmental conservation, computing, advanced
programming, calculus, biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, drafting, and computer design
and drafting. Civil engineers must also have a bachelor's degree. University coursework should
include credits in

What is Technology? Essay
What is technology? Technology is the branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of
technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment, drawing upon such
subjects as industrial arts, engineering, applied science, and pure science. Since the creation of
modern technology man has been entwined with it. On average a Smartphone user will check their
phones 150 times a day, text 23 times, voice calls 22 times, use their camera 8 times, check social
media 9 times and news 6 times. And that is just how man interacts with their Smartphone.

Growing Up Essays
What does it mean to grow up? Does it mean washing your car, paying your bills, getting a job?
Does it mean getting married, having kids, and sprouting gray hair? Is it necessary? Is everyone
capable of it? Is it going to be hard and will it be worth the effort? All of these questions are
probably what made Peter Pan decide to never leave Neverland. Growing up means a lot of
different things to many different people. If we look at the words "growing up", we simply think
of the physical aspect of ageing, growing tall and wide. But for most people, growing up means
something deeper involving a change in the approach that an individual has to life and the actions
that are taken with it. In this essay, we will look at why people have...show more content...
They can't just be told. Mistakes are made and we are held accountable. Such mistakes could
include simple things when we are young like hitting your younger sibling, or they could be as
adults like not paying your bills. Sometimes, we have to make the mistake in order to be able to
correct it. We look at the mistake we made, for example, cheating on a test. We are pleased with
the score. However, we see that we did not receive the grade that was deserved. The other students
all put in long hours of studying and in turn earned their good grades. When something like this
happens an immature person would not think much of it and move on, but a person who has
grown spiritually into a person with morals will not feel comfortable with this result, and
probably not do it again. That is one form of growing up. It is important to feel responsibility for
the actions that have been taken. The next step is reacting in a productive way to that
responsibility. In order to assume responsibility, we have to have a sense of right and wrong
which is only naturally learned by living life. When responsibility is accepted, we have begun to
see the truth and reality of our situation, as Peck describes. Dedication to truth is heavily involved
with the concept of accepting responsibility because for people to see blame in themselves, they
have to have a clear plane of reality that shows the necessity of a solution from them. The eyes have

Surrealism Essay
Surrealism
Surrealism was one of the most influential artistic movements of the 20th Century. AndrГ© Breton
consolidated Surrealism as a movement in the early 1920s, trying to achieve the "total liberation of
the mind and of all that resembles it[1]" through innovative and varied ideas. Surrealism deeply
influenced the world in the era between the two world wars and played a big role in the diffusion and
adoption of psychology worldwide. Surrealism faded after World War II, but its revolutionary genius
has influenced every artistic movement ever since.
It is hard to define and give shape to Surrealism. Surrealism and abstract art have similar origins, "but
they diverge on their interpretation of what those origins mean to the...show more content...
Nonetheless, one cannot truly comprehend Surrealism without delving further into the Surrealist
Movement itself.
AndrГ© Breton ran the Surrealist Movement with impressive discipline and rigidity, making an
interesting contrast between what the Surrealists preached and the management style of its leader.
An interesting story, for example, tells how Salvador DalГ, one of the most prominent members of
the Surrealist movement, attended a New York costume party dressed up as Charles Lindbergh's
son, who had been recently kidnapped and murdered. New York's society did not take the statement
well and eventually made DalГ apologize for his behavior. Breton, however, almost dismissed him
from Movement because he claimed that "no one should excuse himself for a Surrealist act[6]." This
anecdote demonstrates the seriousness of Breton and his Movement towards its final objective:
revolution and the slashing of society's conventions in the interest of a subconscious reality.
At the beginning, the Surrealist Movement had political ties to the Communist party and was
determined to make a revolution. With time, however, the group dropped its direct ties to
communism and concentrated in spreading their own doctrine. The Surrealist Movement

Introduction to Emotion
Introduction
What is Emotion?
Emotion is another word for feelings. Some common emotions are anger, fear, love, sadness, grief,
jealousy, hurt, disappointment and joy.
We may have these feelings or emotions in response to things that are going on at the moment or
when we remember something that happened in the past.
Frequently, we also experience physiological changes, such as feeling hot; faster heartbeats, changes
in our breathing, knotting in our stomachs, etc. when we feel an emotion.
Emotions & Advertising

The most basic of human needs is the need for food, clothing and shelter. Special need for these
necessities cannot be created with advertising. However there are certain other products that
provide comfort in life and advertising aims to generate demand for these products. Advertising
uses appeals as a way of persuading people to buy certain products. Advertising appeals are
designed in a way so as to create a positive image of the individuals who use certain products.
Advertising agencies and companies use different types of advertising appeals to influence the
purchasing decisions of people.
The most important types of advertising appeals include emotional and rational appeals. Emotional
appeals are often effective for the youth while rational appeals work well for products directed
towards the older generation. Here are just some of the various different kinds of advertising appeals
seen in the media today:
Emotional Appeal
An emotional appeal is related to an individual's psychological and social needs for purchasing
certain products and services. Many consumers are emotionally motivated or driven to make certain
purchases. Advertisers aim to cash in on the emotional appeal and this works particularly well where
there is not much difference between multiple product brands and its offerings.

Linear Programming Essay
Linear Programming
Part A
Introduction
"Linear programming was developed by George B. Dantzig in 1947 as a technique for planning the
diversified activities of the U.S Air
Force." Linear programming is a powerful mathematical technique that can be used to deal with the
problem of allocating limited facilities and resources among many alternative uses in order to find
out the optimal benefits. The main objective of the linear programming problem in management is to
maximize profit or minimize cost. Linear programming has a wide variety of applications. It is used
by oil companies to determine the best mixture of ingredients for blending gasoline. It is also plays an
important part in making the optimal schedules for...show more content...
The application of linear programming for production scheduling is beneficial because those
problems will recur in the next production period; so managers just have to resolve the problem
according to different limitations. Therefore ant unnecessary costs would be reduced.
Disadvantages for linear programming
Although the linear programming technique can be applied to a wide range of different problems,
there are some disadvantages that we should bear in mind before using this method.
The first disadvantage is that the linear programming technique miscalculate the total costs occur in
the production process. By this
I mean the method assumes that outputs is associated by a certain proportion, if the amount of
inputs doubles, then the amount of outputs and costs would be doubled simultaneously, But in
reality, in a production process, the total costs are not changed in the same degree as the inputs
changes due to the property of the fixed costs
The second disadvantage is that in some cases, the optimal solution we get by using the linear
programming technique is not realistic. This refers to two types of problems: infeasibility and
unbounded ness.
Infeasibility occurs when there is no solution to the linear programming problem that satisfies all the
constraints. This problem can arise due to management's high expectations or due to too

Essay on Education and the Internet
Education and the Internet Due to the expansion of the Internet in recent years, schools and
universities around the world have been incorporating more technology into their classrooms.
Computers are ever present on college campuses, and many teachers are including them for class
activities on a daily basis. With email, a teacher or can be in contact with his or her students outside
of the classroom to discuss class work. Computers in the classroom are extremely beneficial for
students, more importantly; the use of the Internet allows students easy access to an abundance of
information.

Receiving help is as easy as communicating with the other people online. This saves the hassle of
arranging a meeting with a teacher or classmates. This is beneficial because an instant response can
be obtained in a matter of seconds. Also, this is the most appropriate place for a correct response to
any Moo related questions.
When an essay is completed in a Moo, it is out there for the world to see. In other words, anyone
and everyone in the world who has access to the Internet can view it. This leaves an essay open
for criticism, which can be used constructively to help the student develop his or her work. It also
beneficial for the teachers. It allows the teacher to view the student's work with the click of a
mouse. No longer does class have to be in session for work to be accomplished. Teachers can view
an essay over the Internet, then email the student back his or her grade at any time they desire.
Essays written on the Internet also free the teacher from carrying around stacks of papers.
Although Moos have many advantages, there are also certain drawbacks to creating an essay in this
fashion. When writing an essay in the Moo, the Moo editor may be needed.
The editor contains certain commands that are needed to get around throughout the rooms, and it
may be hard to memorize them all. This can be a stressful task to learn the commands, but once they
are familiar, travel throughout the Moo rooms is much easier.

Essay on Creation
Creation
The Creation Stories Did the creation of the earth and life begin by itself? Or did God create them?
In the beginning, civilization started to question who created earth. There were many different
views. In Genesis, Jinasena, and Buddha have their own thinking. There were some differences as
well as similarities. In Genesis, it was stated that God created heaven and earth. Everything we saw
is God's work. Even ourselves is come out from him. In one week, Days and Nights; Skies and
seasons, land and water; living creature; And humans, were created by God. An example, "Let
there be light" then light came out. Everything he thought of happened instantaneously.
However, there is no stating how he accomplished all...show more content...
That is the "Cycle of rebirth". Also, the myth really does not mention anything about
god existence. It consistantly looks for logically answer to prove that god exist. But they do not
believe in god with insult. "Some foolish men declare that Creator made the world." and
"The Jains hold that no god created the universe..." It stands strongly there is no one
god who created earth. However, they do believe that there is a hell on earth, and a heaven. The
Buddha is a Buddhist myth called "How the World Evolved". They do believe there
god was the creator, but that the world goes through successive periods of expansion and
contraction, unaffected by the activities of the gods. We all go through the "wheel of
rebirth...People can become "awakened" to the absolute and can escape the otherwise
inevitable round of rebirth, suffering, and mortality." What's awakened? Does that mean to
realize something or awake from the cycle of rebirth? We all live in the "World of
Radiance". Everyone is rebirth. Whoever "awakened" will become creator and
go to another world called the "World of Brahma". Brahma was the first one born in
the World of Brahma. The world was empty. He was the first one who arrived to the new world.
He called himself "the Father of all that is or is to be." There are more gods later on,
but he claimes to be the first one who born. He also claims to be the most

Essay about My Business Idea
My Business Idea
In my coursework I intend to start my own business. I will devise my own business plan which
outlines my business proposal and the key aspects, during this I will need to seek good business
advice on the necessary steps I will have to make. As I go through the coursework I will show
evidence, examples and explain how businesses are set up, what types of businesses there are and
their similarities, the kind of targets businesses set for themselves and also the different objectives of
different stakeholders. For my business I plan to sell toys and other game products that educate
young children under the age of 11.

Finance
=======
No businesses can be set up without finance. Most people who start their own business
underestimate the amount of money they will need to set up. They are often UNCAPITALISED
and this causes problems as the business expands. Some businesses have the potential to be highly
profitable but fail because they run out of cash at a crucial early stage in the life of the business. So
it is very important to work out how much money is needed to start the business and to identify
where the money will come from.
Identifying the sources of help
===============================
Most new businesses don not survive for more than three years of trading. However, their chance of
success is much greater if those setting up the business have received help from experts before the
launch. Many new businesses turn to Business Link or to their local
TEC. They can identify any grants, loans or benefits that are available from government or from
bodies like the Prince's Trust. They can also organise training in setting up small businesses that is
so often vital to the survival of the business.

Drawing up a business plan is very important. The business plan sets out how the business is to be

Genome Editing Essay
Introduction
Genome editing is a huge leap forward in science and medicine. Because of recent advances in
technology, the study of genes and induced 'point' mutations have led to the discovery and
advancement of methods previously used in order to mutate genes. The development of Clusters
of Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats (CRISPRs) and CRISPR associated system 9
protein (Cas9) technology is a hugely significant leap forward as this is a tool that could potentially
be used for the research into and hopefully the treatment of a range of medical conditions that are
genetically related. Cystic fibrosis (Schwank, G. et al, 2013), haemophilia and sickle cell disease are
an example of some of the conditions that have the...show more content...
Once the complex was bound to the DNA, a cut would be made to eliminate and destroy the
invaders. 83% of archaeal genomes and 45% of bacterial genomes (Shabbir, M. et al, 2016) were
shown to be able to successfully utilize the CRISPR Cas9 system. These are very promising
statistics, so it is no wonder that there has been such an advancement in the past few years to bring
this technology to eukaryotic cells, mammalian cells and eventually human cells.
With the rate and volume that new experiments and experimental procedures are being tried and
tested, it can be expected that a Nobel Prize will soon be won for the discovery and advancement of
this potential life–saving 'tool'. The category of Nobel Prize and who it potentially should be
awarded to are discussed later in this essay.
The Role of CRISPR/Cas9 as a Genome Editing Tool
There are three types of CRISPR systems. The Type II CRISPR system (where the interface is
mediated by a single large protein in conjunction with crRNA) is the simplest of the three and it is
this one that has been the basis for genome editing.
The Cas9 protein is an enzyme that effectively acts as a pair of molecular 'scissors', cutting

Technology Trends Essay
INTRODUCTION It seems that every year people turn increasingly toward living their lives
through technology. It has inundated society, families, jobs, and lives. Three developing trends that
in some ways overlap each other are specifically related to living in a technology world. These
trends are particularly important to the school librarian because many students are living their lives
through the web. In order to reach those students, the librarian must be knowledgeable about the
trends and applications and be able to use and apply them in a library setting. By using them, the
librarian makes the library relevant to students, and brings the library to students where the students
are.
The first trend is social communication...show more content...
TREND ONE – SOCIAL COMMUNICATION Social communication is found on the web through
blogs, online journaling, emailing, instant messaging, and micro–blogging. People use these
applications to track their lives, inform others what they have been doing, make recommendations,
rant about an interest, and a variety of other reasons. There is some sort of social communication
about virtually every topic under the sun. Blogs, which is short for web–blogs, are essentially a
place online where people go to write about their thoughts, ideas, feelings, etc. in their own voice in
order to share it with the masses ("Exploring web 2.0 and libraries," 2006). In a blog, someone can
respond to the writer with a comment, and then the blogger can post the comment for others to
view, or they can delete it. In education or in a library, a blog could be used to share ideas about a
topic, recommend books, share thoughts on a book, share news about upcoming events, share
information about a past event, etc. (Naslund & Guistini, 2008). Blogs are very applicable to the
library setting. It is a place to have conversations about anything. It could become a sort of on–line
book club. The blog should invite participation. The more engaged students are, the more likely
they are to care about the library ("Technology trends for a 2.0 world," 2007). Some of the more
popular blog sites are blogger.com, edublogger.com, and blogsopt.com (Naslund & Guistini, 2008).

My Reflection On Business
It is urgent that the older generation make certain that the younger generation knows the importance
of EI and how it greatly will affect the changes in occupational positions.
Reflections are your takeaway from the chapter readings. Same way you have been posting your
weekly chapter discussions. Keep it short and sweet. A typical reflection paper (ALL chapters
included) should be between 300 and 700 words long.
In Chapter one I learned about business and different sections of the business. I also Learned on
how to prepare for business classes, what to look for and the main purpose of the class. How This
information will help me now and later on in life with occupation decisions and narrow down
what area of business I would like to work in. Also now that I know somewhat how to prepare before
my business classes with reading the chapters before class it will be easier to enter my
second–semester class business classes.
Chapter three discussed exploring global business and I learned more about methods international
businesses. Having lived in London over the summer, and participating in an internship and lots of
questions came up concerning how Brideship business differs from American business. Looking at
this chapter I helped me see the similarities and differences from what I experienced in business over
the summer and what I am experiencing now learning about business.
Chapter 4 I used a lot throughout this business class with my group research paper. My group's
research paper business is a non–profit. Learning more about nonprofit business and how they work
helped organizing and writing my paper.
Chapter 5
Chapter five helped me find motivation in the majority of business and make plans for me to
hopefully run a small business one day. I know how to see the signs that lead to small business
failure and how to attract employees.
Chapter 6
Chapter six prepared me in how to organize in when/how to learn communication skills, analytic
skills, etc.. Also how to improve my leadership at work, school, and relationships with others.
Chapter 7
Chapter seven showed me how to expand my management skills for the workplace. Also If I

  • 2. Essay Growing Up When I Grow Up.. "Being 'grown up' isn't as fun as the idea of growing up." –AmberGrace Seguin Remember when we were young and all we could think of was growing up and getting to do 'grownup' things? We spent our whole childhood thinking of what we would do when we finally 'grew up', and here we are, almost completely grown up and we still haven't made up our mind of what it is we will do when we grow up. We've painted this pretty little picture in our head of what it'll be like when we eventually do grow up, and when it finally comes for the picture to be taken off the wall and put into action, it's not nearly as fun as creating the painting. We once convinced ourselves that growing up was the goal to achieve, and life would be much better once we were in fact grown up. When we in fact do grow up, we think back at our youth and laugh because we thought growing up was the most wondrous thing to accomplish, but now, more than ever, we crave for our youth; for the days we would sit in the grass and daydream of what we are to become when we grow up; and finally for the days when life was simple and we could imagine it any which way we wanted it and no one could do a thing about it. • 5. Growing Up Essays What does it mean to grow up? Does it mean washing your car, paying your bills, getting a job? Does it mean getting married, having kids, and sprouting gray hair? Is it necessary? Is everyone capable of it? Is it going to be hard and will it be worth the effort? All of these questions are probably what made Peter Pan decide to never leave Neverland. Growing up means a lot of different things to many different people. If we look at the words "growing up", we simply think of the physical aspect of ageing, growing tall and wide. But for most people, growing up means something deeper involving a change in the approach that an individual has to life and the actions that are taken with it. In this essay, we will look at why people have...show more content... They can't just be told. Mistakes are made and we are held accountable. Such mistakes could include simple things when we are young like hitting your younger sibling, or they could be as adults like not paying your bills. Sometimes, we have to make the mistake in order to be able to correct it. We look at the mistake we made, for example, cheating on a test. We are pleased with the score. However, we see that we did not receive the grade that was deserved. The other students all put in long hours of studying and in turn earned their good grades. When something like this happens an immature person would not think much of it and move on, but a person who has grown spiritually into a person with morals will not feel comfortable with this result, and probably not do it again. That is one form of growing up. It is important to feel responsibility for the actions that have been taken. The next step is reacting in a productive way to that responsibility. In order to assume responsibility, we have to have a sense of right and wrong which is only naturally learned by living life. When responsibility is accepted, we have begun to see the truth and reality of our situation, as Peck describes. Dedication to truth is heavily involved with the concept of accepting responsibility because for people to see blame in themselves, they have to have a clear plane of reality that shows the necessity of a solution from them. • 6. Surrealism Essay Surrealism Surrealism was one of the most influential artistic movements of the 20th Century. AndrГ© Breton consolidated Surrealism as a movement in the early 1920s, trying to achieve the "total liberation of the mind and of all that resembles it[1]" through innovative and varied ideas. Surrealism deeply influenced the world in the era between the two world wars and played a big role in the diffusion and adoption of psychology worldwide. Nonetheless, one cannot truly comprehend Surrealism without delving further into the Surrealist Movement itself. AndrГ© Breton ran the Surrealist Movement with impressive discipline and rigidity, making an interesting contrast between what the Surrealists preached and the management style of its leader. An interesting story, for example, tells how Salvador DalГ, one of the most prominent members of the Surrealist movement, attended a New York costume party dressed up as Charles Lindbergh's son, who had been recently kidnapped and murdered. New York's society did not take the statement well and eventually made DalГ apologize for his behavior. Breton, however, almost dismissed him from Movement because he claimed that "no one should excuse himself for a Surrealist act[6]." This anecdote demonstrates the seriousness of Breton and his Movement towards its final objective: revolution and the slashing of society's conventions in the interest of a subconscious reality. At the beginning, the Surrealist Movement had political ties to the Communist party and was determined to make a revolution. With time, however, the group dropped its direct ties to communism and concentrated in spreading their own doctrine. The Surrealist Movement Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Advertising agencies and companies use different types of advertising appeals to influence the purchasing decisions of people. The most important types of advertising appeals include emotional and rational appeals. Emotional appeals are often effective for the youth while rational appeals work well for products directed towards the older generation. Many consumers are emotionally motivated or driven to make certain purchases. The application of linear programming for production scheduling is beneficial because those problems will recur in the next production period; so managers just have to resolve the problem according to different limitations. Therefore ant unnecessary costs would be reduced. Disadvantages for linear programming Although the linear programming technique can be applied to a wide range of different problems, there are some disadvantages that we should bear in mind before using this method. The first disadvantage is that the linear programming technique miscalculate the total costs occur in the production process. By this I mean the method assumes that outputs is associated by a certain proportion, if the amount of inputs doubles, then the amount of outputs and costs would be doubled simultaneously, But in reality, in a production process, the total costs are not changed in the same degree as the inputs changes due to the property of the fixed costs The second disadvantage is that in some cases, the optimal solution we get by using the linear programming technique is not realistic. This refers to two types of problems: infeasibility and unbounded ness. Infeasibility occurs when there is no solution to the linear programming problem that satisfies all the constraints. This problem can arise due to management's high expectations or due to too Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Because of recent advances in technology, the study of genes and induced 'point' mutations have led to the discovery and advancement of methods previously used in order to mutate genes. The development of Clusters of Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats (CRISPRs) and CRISPR associated system 9 protein (Cas9) technology is a hugely significant leap forward as this is a tool that could potentially be used for the research into and hopefully the treatment of a range of medical conditions that are genetically related. These are very promising statistics, so it is no wonder that there has been such an advancement in the past few years to bring this technology to eukaryotic cells, mammalian cells and eventually human cells. With the rate and volume that new experiments and experimental procedures are being tried and tested, it can be expected that a Nobel Prize will soon be won for the discovery and advancement of this potential life–saving 'tool'. People use these applications to track their lives, inform others what they have been doing, make recommendations, rant about an interest, and a variety of other reasons. There is some sort of social communication about virtually every topic under the sun. Blogs, which is short for web–blogs, are essentially a place online where people go to write about their thoughts, ideas, feelings, etc. in their own voice in order to share it with the masses ("Exploring web 2.0 and libraries," 2006). In a blog, someone can respond to the writer with a comment, and then the blogger can post the comment for others to view, or they can delete it. In education or in a library, a blog could be used to share ideas about a topic, recommend books, share thoughts on a book, share news about upcoming events, share information about a past event, etc. (Naslund & Guistini, 2008). Blogs are very applicable to the library setting. It is a place to have conversations about anything. It could become a sort of on–line book club. The blog should invite participation. The more engaged students are, the more likely they are to care about the library ("Technology trends for a 2.0 world," 2007).
