Essay On Corruption
Crafting an essay on the subject of corruption is no easy task, as it involves navigating through a
complex web of societal issues, political intricacies, and ethical considerations. Corruption, being
a pervasive and multifaceted phenomenon, demands a comprehensive understanding and a
nuanced approach.
The difficulty lies in capturing the essence of corruption, which spans across various sectors such
as politics, business, and public service. Unraveling the intricacies of corrupt practices, exploring
their root causes, and proposing viable solutions requires extensive research and critical analysis.
Moreover, addressing the topic often involves treading on sensitive ground. Delving into the
corrupt practices within governmental institutions or corporate entities can be challenging, as it
may involve scrutinizing powerful individuals or organizations. Balancing the need for
transparency with the potential risks of backlash poses an additional layer of difficulty.
The essay must also consider the global nature of corruption, acknowledging that it is not
confined to a particular region or country. Drawing connections between different manifestations
of corruption worldwide adds complexity to the research process.
Furthermore, the challenge extends to maintaining a sense of optimism and motivation.
Discussing a topic as pervasive and entrenched as corruption can be disheartening, and finding
ways to inspire change without succumbing to cynicism is an ongoing struggle.
In conclusion, tackling an essay on corruption requires a delicate balance of research, critical
thinking, and ethical considerations. It demands a keen understanding of the subject matter, a
fearless exploration of its various facets, and a commitment to proposing meaningful solutions.
Despite the challenges, the endeavor is crucial in fostering awareness and advocating for positive
change.

Essay Significance of the Number 3 in Fairy Tales
Significance of the Number 3 in Fairy Tales
Numbers do not exist. They are creations of the mind, existing only in the realm of
understanding. No one has ever touched a number, nor would it be possible to do so.
You may sketch a symbol on a paper that represents a number, but that symbol is not
the number itself. A number is just understood. Nevertheless, numbers hold symbolic
meaning. Have you ever asked yourself serious questions about the significance,
implications, and roles of numbers? For example, Why does the number ten denote a
change to double digits? Is zero a number or a non number? Or, the matter this paper
will address: Why does the number three hold an understood and symbolic
importance?
My interest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, I offer what I call the Utility Based Approach, which attempts to explain
the prominence of three by noting its usefulness in telling fairy tales. Indeed, the
Utility Based Approach proposes that three, being the smallest possible number that
denotes a group, is a useful entity when recalling a tale whose audience is assumed to
either (1) desire mental relaxation, or (2) lack advanced/complex mental capabilities.
Background/Historical Context
Three has a logical reason for its important role throughout history. It is not merely
the number that happens to fall between two and four. Three is the union of oneness
and duality. It is the first number that is a combination of various previous numbers
(assuming, as most societies have done, that zero is not a number). One and two are
special as they are representations of oneness and otherness , but three starts the
procession of all other numbers to follow (the set of numbers, 3 infinity, that can be
the sum of a variety of previous numbers) (Symbolism). Whether this is realized
consciously or subconsciously, it is an undeniable truth that seems hard to avoid.
Indeed, this idea could be what gave rise to the spiritual significance of three.
Three has always played an important part in the Judeo/Christian beliefs, as Ken
Bassett outlines in his Pastor Note No. 138. First, and probably most
Looking Back At The Beginning Of Last Year, Life Was Not
Looking back at the beginning of last year, life was not the best for me. At the time
I was going through the transition of moving back from my previous college back
to my home in Miami, Florida. Disappointed, at how I did not push myself enough
to succeed in my foregoing college, I came to question what I should do now.
Everything felt so rushed, the control I had on it was nonexistent. I, like an
audience in a movie theater sitting back and watching my life unfold in front of me.
Eventually as time went on I decided the best thing to do, is fix myself. I found
myself a job at the Grand Beach Hotelin Surfside, Florida as a hostess at the

Then, before I knew it words kept flowing out, felt uncomfortable at first, but as time
went on I found myself being more at ease. Learning how to show guests mutual
respect and show more enthusiasm helped, and opened up to people doing what I
never thought I would be capable of ever doing.
During my time working at the hotel I had an epiphany; I learned the beauty in change
. What led to my realization is a guest I encountered on a Friday morning would say
something that I would never forget. Arriving at work I walk towards the podium,
I had to stand to greet as well as take guest to their tables. While cleaning my station
a woman around her late 80 s appeared I remember her skin being pale as white
clouds passing uncovering the sun. As she approached me, I checked the time
6:30 AM the shiny red clock showed back to me. I thought Well she s an early bird.
Looking back at her, she passed right by me and went directly towards a seat. I as
one of my responsibilities in my job I had to go up to her to ask for her room
information despite her ignoring me completely. Hurried over to approach her
being a little irritated that she did not acknowledge me, I asked her Good morning

Key Features of a Bond
A.What are the key features of a bond?
answer:if possible, begin this lecture by showing students an actual bond certificate.
We show a real coupon bond with physical coupons. These can no longer be issued
it is too easy to evade taxes, especially estate taxes, with bearer bonds. All bonds
today must be registered, and registered bonds don t have physical coupons.
1.Par or face value. We generally assume a $1,000 par value, but par can be
anything, and often $5,000 or more is used. With registered bonds, which is what are

Expressed as an equation, we have:
Or:
vb = $100(pvifa10%,10) + $1,000(pvif10%,10) = $100 ((1 1/(1+.1)10)/0.10) +
$1,000 (1/(1+0.10)10).
The bond consists of a 10 year, 10% annuity of $100 per year plus a $1,000 lump sum
payment at t = 10:
pv annuity = $ 614.46 pv maturity value = 385.54 value of bond = $1,000.00
The mathematics of bond valuation is programmed into financial calculators
which do the operation in one step, so the easy way to solve bond valuation
problems is with a financial calculator. Input n = 10, kd = i = 10, pmt = 100, and fv =
1000, and then press pv to find the bond s value, $1,000. Then change n from 10 to 1
and press pv to get the value of the 1 year bond, which is also $1,000.

is currently selling for $1,135.90, producing a nominal yield to maturity of 8 percent.
However, the bond can be called after 5 years for a price of $1,050.
K.1.What is the bond s nominal yield to call (ytc)?

Closed Flue Pipe Investigation
Closed Flue Pipe Experiment
Abstract
The wind instrument I will be researching in this experiment will be the pipe organ,
commonly used in cathedrals and churches. Pipe organs produce sound by pushing
pressurized air through a set of flue pipes.
Flue pipes usually have a circular cross section and are mostly made of wood or
metal. One pipe can only produce one pitch, so to produce a range of pitches an
organ will have multiple sets of pipes called stops. Organs can have as little as 12
pipes to as many as 20,000.
Introduction
All wind instruments rely on the vibration of air to produce sound. They all have
some sort of pipe or tube in which standing air resonates and produces a fundamental
frequency. This frequency of the sound... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For each length, a sine wave oscillator was used to measure the fundamental
frequency.
Results
The following code was written in Matlab to create a graph;
l=[0.340 0.295 0.250 0.219 0.168 0.135 0.124 0.100]; %Pipe length (y axis)
f0=[236 272 311 350 454 551 610 714]; %Fundamental frequency f0 (Hz) (x axis)
p=(1./f0) %Period
plot(p,l, r* );
xlabel( 1/Frequency 1/Hz );
ylabel( Pipe Length m );
axis([0 0.005 0.1 0.35]);
Gradient of graph = 84
Value of C (m) = 1.70E 02
Value of v (ms 1) = 336
Discussion
After looking at the results, it is easy to see that as pipe got shorter, the fundamental
frequency increases. A 0.340m length pipe gave a frequency of 236Hz, while a
0.100m length pipe gave a frequency of 714Hz.
Conclusion
The results shown above prove the proposed theory to be correct.
If I were to do this experiment in the future I would use multiple pipes of different
lengths rather than using a piston to alter the length. I think this would give more
accurate results. I would also consider using pipes of different materials to see if it
has any effect on the results.

Symbols In The Metamorphosis
At some point in our lives, we encounter obstacles, problems and big changes in the
way we live our lives. Franz Kafka s The Metamorphosis tells the story of Gregor
Samsa had not only undergone a big transformation physically, but also emotionally
and mentally as an insect. Reading behind the lines uncovers hidden meanings,
imagery, and symbols that may seem inconspicuous to a normal reader. As this
literature may be understood through the lines, and texts that blend in the story.
Throughout The Metamorphosis, symbols, imagery, and settings are used to develop
Kafka s messages. In the light of this, it may be said that no matter how simple this
novel may seem, it can cover extensive imagery and symbols that comprises its true
identity and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The family gradually rejected Greg s new life as a Vermin. Once the family
realized that Greg was no longer able to provide for their living, they found him
useless and refused to care for him. The anger and shame Mr. Samsa has for his
son can be evidenced by the force the apple was thrown at Gregor. Then the
realization only struck Gregor when he was hit by the apple as thrown by his
father Mr. Samsa, the collision brings forth this sudden realization within Gregor
and his family, that could also be symbolized from the Bible, by the apple Your
eyes shall be opened (Genesis 3:5, NIV). Gregor can already painfully see that his
life has been completely changed, he no longer holds the position as the son; he is
not useful because he cannot earn money anymore, he is just a gigantic vermin
that is taking up space in the house. To the father, this can be similar to exile
because he is leaving the comforts of his home and work. Furthermore, this apple
becomes a realization to readers that the family did not really treat Gregor as their
own son even before he became a Vermin. They failed to realize that Gregor has
transformed from the son to the bank account. Before, the Samsa family does not
see the metamorphosis because Gregor s physical appearance did not differ, but now
they were forced to take notice . Now, the symbolism of the rotting apple is the guilt
he faced after the incident. It
Identify Three Types Of Employer Organizations As...

Identify three types of managed care plans, such as Preferred Provider Organizations
(PPO) and how they impact the way that health care is delivered at Healing Hands
Hospital.
Managed care is the provision of health care services being taken on by a single
organization in the management of finances, insurance, delivery and payment (Shi,
Singh, 2017). Additionally, managed careplans are a type of health insurance that
contracts with health care providers and medical organizations, whereas the
members are provided care at a reduced cost, usually the lowest possible cost. The
amount paid depends on the rules of a specific network.
The three types of managed care plans include, Health Maintenance Organization
(HMO), Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO), and Point of Service (POS). With
the HMO plan, a primary care doctor is chosen, and coverage is for care provided
within the network. The PPO plan pays more if care service stays within the
network, than it pays if care is done outside of the network. Furthermore, the POS
plan allows the patient to choose between the HMO and the PPO, for each visit to the
doctor (healthychildren.org).
Managed care has changed dramatically in the United States over the years. What
did managed care look like 10 years ago compared to how it looks today? managed
care grew more in the last years, bringing about new types of managed care plans
through competing MCOs. To make their plans more attractive, organizations used
payment variations. For instance, instead of capitation, PPOs used discounted fees
payment. There were ones that offered enrollees choices between affiliated
providers and non affiliated providers. MCOs also adopted various methods to
control health care costs by actively monitoring utilization (Shi, Singh, 2017).
Additionally, private health insurance, as well as high deductible health plans, can
be offered as managed care plans nowadays. Also, available to Medicare and
Medicaid recipients is the option to enroll in a managed care plan or continuing to
stay with the traditional fee for service program. Now for specific services HMOs
incorporates capitation and fee for service reimbursement, in their payment schemes.
Discuss the future of managed care

Research is performed in a variety of methods and exists across all educational fields
across the university and the benefits of research abound not only for students, but
for university faculty and the nation as a whole. Although undergraduate research is
viewed as a relatively new initiative in the university, students have been researching
at this level longer than we think: since around the early 1900s.

An Unknown Disease Caused By Microorganisms
Introduction Whenever there is an unknown disease caused by microorganisms,
tests are usually made in order to identify the organism causing the disease. There
are several tests that need to be made and they include tests such as performing a
gram stain, streaking a plate to isolate colonies, inoculating a broth culture,
inoculating API strip, and performing oxidase and catalase tests. Having
knowledge on how to identify these tests are of high importance in the medical
field so it would be to the advantage of those individuals who know how to examine
microorganisms and be able to identify it by correctly performing tests on
organisms. To begin with, a good way to get exposed to tests that will be needed
by people entering the medical field would be to perform practice test like being
assigned an Unknown that students could identify by performing tests. The
Unknown that was assigned to me for example was Unknown #22. In order to
identify Unknown #22 I had to perform several test and make sure that all the
results matched with each other to be sure that I had performed my tests right. The
goal of my experiment is to learn how to properly perform tests on an Unknown
organism and be able to identify it. By learning to identify a specific
microorganism and performing various testing techniques I will be able to identify
a microorganism if required when I am working in the medical field. When a
microorganism is identified, the doctors job is made easier because they are able to

The relationship between a person and their family is usually considered important.
Studies have recently show that they are more important than would be noticed at
first glance. Having strong family ties has been shown to provide resistance to peer
pressure and that having factors in a person s life such as maternal warmth and
positive psychological connections with family members causes a greater resistance
to peer pressure (Chan Chan, 2013). Other factors in family life influence the levels
of resistance to peer pressures. It was noticed that in immigrants, those who had a
low generational status, meaning their families recently immigrated and had a good
relationship with their parents were less likely to be susceptible to peer pressure
(BГЎmaca Umana Taylor, 1997). When children have a high regard for their parents
they are also shown to have a higher self esteem and a higher level of resistance to
peer pressure (Sim, 2000). The relationship with families is very important, if
strengthening this relationship can boost self esteem and as a result boost resistance
to peer pressure there are benefits in strengthening this relationship other than
happiness between family members. If the relationship between families influences
self esteem levels and resistance to peer pressure then it is

Leadership And The Life Cycle Of A Group . A Group Is A
Leadership and the Life Cycle of a Group
A group is a living thing, developing over time and adapting to the environment and
expectations imposed upon it as it grows. When observed carefully, a pattern of
distinct phases emerge in this growth process. It is important to recognize and take
advantage of these various stages of development in order to maximize group
effectiveness and efficiency. There are several different models for small group
development, but Tuckman s model is probably the most famous sequential stage
theory (Johnson Johnson, 2016, p.27). This paper will discuss the five stages of
group development according to Tuckman s model as well as some practical
leadership guidelines that will help a group remain effective ... Show more content on

Of great value at this stage is encouragement and patience. The reason for the conflict
is generally insecurity (Bonebright, 2010, p. 114), so providing a strong support
system an reassurance can help move a group to the next phase.
As members of the group begin to feel safe and secure, the conflict will settle and
the group will develop a bond and unified goals. Labeled a period of norming, it is
characterized by close relationships and cohesiveness (Group Development, 2003).
In fact, this stage is so characterized by relationship that it could almost be viewed
as a honeymoon phase. Group members will frequently set aside differences and
unity becomes a priority. It is important at this stage to emphasize honesty and
creativity because the group will likely be trying so hard to be amenable that some
members may hold back. Others will be ready to open up given their newfound
sense of security within the group. This is also a critical time for the group because
it typically delineates a time to commit (Johnson Johnson, 2016). If a group reaches
this stage and not all members are on board, it may hinder progress.
Once a group has developed cohesiveness, it will truly begin to produce. This phase
of effectiveness is titled performing according to Tuckman s model. At this stage, the
group is a problem solving instrument , capable of working through obstacles and
accomplishing goals (Bonebright, 2010, p. 114). Is it not uncommon for groups
Magura Cave Research Paper
Prehistoric cave art is important because it can serve as an art journal. The artwork of
prehistoric people allow us to look into how they interact with their environment. Not
only the artwork, but the tools they use and the remains near the sites can provide us

The Magura Cave is located in northeastern Bulgaria. The cave is about 2,500 meters
long. The paintings in the cave shows outline of women, men dancing and hunting,
and people with masks on. There were also pictures of animals, stars, tools, and
planets. The paintings were carved into the walls and they were decorated with bat

The Price Of The Penny
The Penny is essentially a vital part of our money system. There has been many
speculation about whether or not the United States should abolish the penny from
being minted any longer. Although the penny has been a part of the American
culture since 1787, it has such a small value, it will always be a part of American
history. So as the years go on we should realize that the penny is everything to the
United States. The penny should not be eliminated from the money system due to the
fact that it is a part of the American culture and has earned its respect over the years.
In America, there is still a debate if the penny should be eliminated. If it was to be
eliminated it would still be used, but in a minimal way. In Canada, the Canadian
penny was eliminated due to cost, time, and the country believed it was a waste of
money, inflation reduced its purchasing power by 95% since it was first minted
domestically in 1908: back then the cent could buy goods of the cost of $0.20, today
in other words. (The Economist). Once a small coin can no longer be used to buy
individual items at that price, but it is only used to make change, it becomes more
trouble than it is worth. Canadian pennies cost 1.6 Canadian cents to manufacture,
and the government expected to save $11 million a year by eliminating them (The
Economist). But that sum equivalent to 0.0006% of GDP is small change. Canadians
feel that eliminating pennies is that their feeble purchasing power means dealing with
coins,
International and Strategic Marketing Essay
International and Strategic Marketing The globalization of business markets from
domestic to international has generated a unique competitive advantage for all the
organizations whose products and services are being welcomed by the customers all
around the world demanding mass marketing efforts. In this regard, marketing
research in the international environment is having different methodology and
complications with respect to geographical boundaries of a specific country in which
penetration and development of a product is required. Therefore, an international
market planning with strategic aligned goal, for development in the global world
should be the objective of marketers to captivate international market leadership....

International marketing concept is also the same as the general defined concept of
marketing but the methodology to enter and penetrate in the international market is
not the same as it is in domestic marketing. Indeed the tools and skills to enter in the
international market is same but their application differs due the factors which
include economy, political and legal system, and most importantly culture and buying
behavior of the nation. Hence, the ideology of international marketing can be gauged
in this way that the organization which offers its products and services by planning,
pricing, promoting, and distributing to more than one nation other than domestic
market to earn higher profit (Cateora et al., 2002).
Internationalized Business Operations Many potential organizations tend to bring
their operation on global level rather than national level. When the companies move
to internationalization the complexity and sophistication of operations change
enormously. The basic guidelines for the companies orienting in international market
are described by EPRG framework (Wind, Douglas, Perlmutter, 1973). This
framework deals with four types of orientation of company going to international
market which are:

Case Study On Blood Transfusion
INTRODUCTION
Blood is one of the integral components of body constituents, which flows throughout
body and becomes a reason for survival. Blood transfusion is a life saving
intervention for patients in need of transfusion. Blood borne infections are common
serious hurdles of blood transfusion. Considering the serious consequences of these
infections and to hold back the transmission to minimum, it is extremely important to
remain vigilant about the possible spread of these diseases in the course of blood
transfusion1. Transfusion safety begins with healthy donors. Blood transfusion is
safer than ever before through continuous improvements in donor recruitment,
screening, testing of donated blood with increasingly sensitive assays, and
appropriate clinical use of blood. Serologic testing for transfusion transmitted
infections had historically been the foundation of blood screening, while newer
strategies like nucleic acid testing (NAT) have helped further shorten the window
period . Moreover, threat of infectious agents entering the blood supply is not
constant and may evolve as new pathogens emerge or when old ones change their
epidemiological pattern. In 2002, the Government of India adopted the National
Blood Policy An action plan for blood ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

are usually assumed to be associated with low levels of transfusion transmitted

Elements Of Macbeth And The Fall Of Man
The Fall of Man
The ancient Greek notion of tragedy concerned the fall of a great man, such as a
king, from a position of superiority to a position of humility on account of his
ambitious pride, or hubris. To the Greeks, such arrogance in human behavior was
punishable by terrible vengeance. The tragic hero was to be pitied in his fallen plight
but not necessarily forgiven: Greek tragedy frequently has a bleak outcome. Christian
drama, on the other hand, always offers a ray of hope; hence, Macbeth ends with the
coronation of Malcolm, a new leader who exhibits all the correct virtues for a king.
Macbeth exhibits elements that reflect the greatest Christian tragedy of all: the Fall
of Man. In the Genesis story, it is the weakness of Adam, persuaded by his wife
(who has in turn been seduced by the devil) which leads him to the proud assumption
that he can play God. But both stories offer room for hope: Christ will come to save
mankind precisely because mankind has made the wrong choice through his own free
will. In Christian terms, although Macbeth has acted tyrannically, criminally, and
sinfully, he is not entirely beyond redemption in heaven.
Fortune, Fate, and Free Will
Fortune is another word for chance. The ancient view of human affairs frequently
referred to the Wheel of Fortune, according to which human life was something of a
lottery. One could rise to the top of the wheel and enjoy the benefits of superiority,
but only for a while. With an unpredictable swing up
Gender Inequality Affects The Entire World
Gender inequality affects the entire world. It exists everywhere you look and in
everything you do, the workplace being the most prominent. Peggy Young, a
former UPS worker, experienced gender inequality. Due to her pregnancy, she was
no longer able to lift the seventy pounds UPS required of the drivers, so she
requested a change in workload. The company declined and put her on an unpaid
leave ultimately leading to a lawsuit. In March of 2015, the Supreme Court ruled in
Young s favor because of the past accommodations UPS made for workers who could
not work up to their standards because of physical restriction (Zhou).Genderbias
prevails mainly in jobs and schools. The average person does not realize how bad
the workplace can be for inequality against women, so it is very shocking to them
when they find out that women only make $.79 to a man s dollar (Covert). In
order to prevent this unfair persecution of women, several changes need to occur in
order to achieve gender equality and close the wage gap. However, the Supreme
Court needs to take a big step and pass legislation ensuring women equal and fair
treatment for women in all areas of society, especially in the workplace. If men and
women make equal pay, it will affect the lives of everyone, therefore both genders
need to strive to achieve this goal.
In most cases, gender bias and stereotypes in the workplace is traceable to the
stereotypes ingrained in people s minds while in school. Society expects young
children to

toward millennial audiences. In addition to casting younger contestants, the other
major change that was made in this version was tailoring each round in a specific
manner. The first round, Beat The Beast, focuses on conquering fears of insects,
reptiles and other creepy crawlies. The second round, Face Your Fear, purposefully
forces the remaining contestants to face a fear they all have in common. The third
round, The Final Fear, is simply an extreme physical stunt which usually includes
accomplishing a task while being submerged underwater for an extended period of
time, on top of a towering skyscraper or maneuvering across a tractor trailer

There are some issues that will be discussed in the report. The self interested
information that Nick Brown, the marketing manager has leaked out within the

lacking of communication between employers and employees, among employees and
among managers will be evaluated to remove the uncertainties of the situation.
Furthermore, the confusion of the new organizational culture also will be addressed to
ensure the merger progress go smoothly.
Issues investigated in this report will be discussed neutrally and objectively.
However, there are still numbers of limitations in this report due to many factors.
First of all is the biasness of the information collected from the interview of
employees in the company. These information may not be neutral and trustworthy; or
even misleading. Also, lacking of time is another limitation of this report. Since this
consulting report is conducted within a limited time, the consultant cannot address all
issues but major points preventing the merger goes smoothly. In addition, financial

Capital Markets And Strategic Issues Essay
Capital Markets and Strategic Issues in Fund Raising A Answer Role of VCs in
the company VC is a type of private equity also a financing provided by firms to
nascent stage, emerging firms that are promising, show high growth potential (in
terms of number of employees, annual revenue, or both). VC firms invest in these
mentioned companies in exchange of ownership stake. VCs take on the risk of
financing risky start ups thinking that some of the firms will be successful who they
pursue. Start ups are usually based on an innovative technology/business model and
they are usually from the high technology industries, such as information technology
(IT), social media or biotechnology. In exchange for high risk that venture
capitalists assume by investing in smaller/startup companies, VCs usually get
significant control over company s management decisions, with companies
ownership and value. Obtaining VC is different from raising a loan. Lenders have
a legal right to interest payment of the principal irrespective of the business success
/failure. VC is invested for an equity stake in the business. The return of the VC as a
shareholder depends on business growth /profit. Return is earned when the venture
capitalist exits . VCs are selective in deciding where to invest in; as a result, firms
are looking for the extremely rare yet sought after qualities such as innovative
technology, potential for rapid growth, a well developed business model and an

Organized Religion Versus Sprituality in William Blake s...
William Blake was a poet and artist who was born in London, England in 1757. He
lived 69 years, and although his work went largely unnoticed during his lifetime, he
is now considered a prominent English Romantic poet. Blake s religious views, and
his philosophy that man is god , ran against the religious thoughts at the time, and
some might equate Blake s views to those of the hippie movement of the 20th century.
In The Garden of Love , the conflict between organized religion and individual
thought is the constant idea throughout the poem. Blake s colorful use of imagery
and heavy symbolism express his resentment toward the church. He makes it obvious
how he feels, that it is restrictive in nature and hinders him from expressing his ...

(Griffiths). The third stanza begins with the narrator visiting the garden of love, but
he sees something he never saw there before, a chapel in the midst of the green he
used to play on. When the narrator says he used to play on the green , this indicates
that he was familiar with the Garden of Love in his childhood. He realizes that now
he has reached adulthood, he finds that love s natural expressions are no longer free
and universal, but bound by the restrictions of the organized church. Blake uses the
chapel to represent the orthodox church of the 18th century. He uses this religious
symbol to convey the idea of negativity, and seems to be dismissing organized
religion as unnatural and restrictive. Blake changes the rhyme scheme from ABAB to
ABCB in the third stanza to convey the change of tone in the poem (Griffiths).
In the fourth stanza, Blake uses religious symbols to show how the structured religion
of the Orthodox Church can destroy the love and joy within. The narrator finds that
the gates to the chapel are shut, symbolizing the restrictive nature of organized
religion. Blake alludes to the Ten Commandments when he describes the church gates
as having Thou shalt not written across them. This demonstrates the constrained state
that the church puts Blake in (Griffiths). Discouraged by the limiting statement on
the gates, the narrator turns to the rest of the Garden in

Irony In Stown Analysis
Southern gothic literature is known for the irony it produces, how it can derail an
entire story, and take the reader for a ride. Southern gothic literature s definition of
irony deals with the history of the south. The irony that is shown in Stown is the
tattooes on John s body, but also the fact that the Burt s ended up buying John s
property after he had passed. Irony in Stown is to keep the reader interested and
has them wanting to find out more. Throughout the podcast, many things are
thrown our way, the irony of those things make it that much more interesting.
Some things stand out more than others for the characteristic irony. One that sticks
out like a sore thumb to most readers is the fact the John loathed tattoos but was
completely covered in them when he passed away. Brian once caught a flash from
John of his chest and he then begins to talk about tattoos, The entirety of John s
chest is tattooed, and his shoulders too, though it s all perfectly covered when he s
wearing a t shirt. The flashing is quick, so I can t take it all in, but I see a glimpse of
what s possibly a beaker and maybe a clock type thing. It takes me aback, because
John has made clear to me how much he loathes tattoos. They re one of the things he
hates about Shittown. I believe he once called them an expression of hopelessness.
Doesn t compute. John has mentioned a few times that he hates tattoos and everyone
that has one is a low life. He knows that most people have them, and openly talks
Theme Of Life Lies In Blanche Dubois
Dealing with the harsh truths of life can be tough for anyone to handle, which is
why people tell themselves lies. These lies are called life lies a falsehood used to
rationalize the lifestyle people are living or actions they have committed. Tennessee
Williams and Henrik Ibsen investigate how life lies can turn into delusions a state of
mind or way of life when they are used to cope with the stresses of everyday life.
Williams protagonist, Blanche DuBois, was a former southern belle forced to move
in with her sister, Stella, after her husband s suicide and being evicted from Belle
Reve, her family home. To cope with these traumatic events, Blanche decided to
recreate her character. To do so, she lied to the people around about her sinful past
because she wanted to appear to them as the pure, southern belle she once was. As
the lies piled up, she came to believe them as truth, therefore, creating her delusion.
Blanche only came to further and more deeply believe her delusion as the play
progressed. On the other hand, Ibsen s protagonist, Nora, had been taken advantage
of her whole life. She was merely a pawn of the two most important men in her life:
her father and husband. Unlike Blanche, Nora s delusion was innate she was taught
these lies were the truth from birth, whereas Blanche consciously created her
delusions to protect her from past sins. Through a series of realizations, Nora came to
see the truth of the lieshe was living. Nora was a doll confined to the walls and ways
of Torvald, her husband s, doll house. Tennessee Williams, in A Streetcar Named
Desire, and Henrik Ibsen, in A Doll s House, employ life lies portrayed as delusions
as coping mechanisms; Ibsen explored how a new life and freedom can be gained
from a realization of one s delusion, while Williams explored how unwillingness to
accept a delusion can further trap and confine people.
Williams utilized the symbols of light and darkness to hide Blanche physically just
as she used lies to cover up and cope with her tainted past. Blanche avoided direct
exposure to light because she was afraid of exposing herself and, therefore, her past.
She [couldn t] stand a naked lightbulb in Stella s house because of the fear it would

Through the careful use of mise en scene, Alphonso Cuaron is critiquing the present

segregated itself off from the masses, this can be seen when Theo is riding through
the city in the confines of the luxury Rolls Royce. He is able to see how the upper

Lack Of Explicit Team Norms
There s No I in TEAM. Proverb
Have you ever heard the saying, A chain is only as strong as its weakest link ? This
analogy also applies to the performance of virtual teams. Team Johnny Bravo started
out with good intentions, but struggled to find balance working within a Leaderless,
Modular design structure. A lack of explicit team norms will impact communication
and production efforts. This paper will discuss four operating norms, concerns with a
lack of norms, actions to overcome those concerns and norm recommendations for
Team Johnny Bravo.
Norms
You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone
else. Unknown
According to Mocha (2007), working anywhere and everywhere is a concept of
globalization. Although work is pushing around the world, remote team members
need to exhibit a common and acceptable set of behaviors referred to as norms.
In his research Settle Murphy (2012), found that established norms within successful
virtual teams, dictated how the group functioned. It is important to note, norms and
rules are not one in the same, but they work together to form a team s identity. an
important function of a successful team. Often, the earlier these norms can be
established, the better. While rules play a part in establishing norms, norms can also
be unspoken where rules are not. Team Johnny Bravo established communication and
task norms. Below are four of those norms that operate within the team:
1.
Human Relations And Police Public Relations
Human relations deals with everything that is being accomplished with other human
beings with all kinds of relationships involved. But according to dictionary.com, the
definition is a study of group behavior for the purpose of improving interpersonal
relationships, as among employees. An example of human relations is something all
people have been taught when they were younger and that is to treat people exactly
how you want to be treated. Which basically means to build a strong relationship
whether it is good or if it is bad. So if policeofficers want respect from everyday
society they have to try and respect society as well. Public relations is defined as
activities performed by police agencies designed to create a favorable image of
themselves. An example of police public relations is where a police department will
have an even where the community can get involved and experience the police life.
Police community relations is the interaction or tension between the public and the
department. An example of community relations could be when police officers show
up to high school basketball game and give support to the community that they are
familiar with showing that they are community oriented and care about what they do
for their community.
2.Discuss the rapid increase in the minority population and the challenges it presents
for law enforcement in communities that have not previously faced this issue. In you
answer, explain why multicultural understanding is critical.
What Is The Mood Of The Psycho Scene
The movie Psycho (Shower scene) with and without the music is very suspenseful.
It brings a mixture of feelings. I got a sense of repulsion and horrified, wondering
what would happen next. Although it was short, it was graphic and the content being
black and white, it was enough to get the viewers attention. Listening to clip with
music made the scene more tensed because you can hear the sound effects. For
example, the sound cuts/stabs made by the butcher s knife and the sound being made
when she grabbed the shower curtains and fell. The music does heighten my
emotional response and/or understanding of the scene because it made me imagine

Then when she finally got to the top and seeing the person behind the robe, the

61) A major advantage that courts take in personal jurisdiction is the long arms
statute. This statute allows any court to reach out over long distances and obtain
jurisdiction over anyone who is not present in the claim. An example of this was
used in the Hanson v. Denckla case where the defendant purposely invokes its self
from the protection of the state. So the courts use the long distance statute . There
are many reasons to use personal jurisdiction when it comes to the courts and there
are three types of these jurisdictions. (Farlex, personal Jurisdiction) The three types
of jurisdiction are In Rem which is the courts power to adjudicate rights of all
persons with respects to a particular item of property. The second is In personum
which is simply personal jurisdiction, this jurisdiction has power over the person of a
particular defendant. Lastly there s Quasi in Rem which is the court has power to
determine whether particular individuals own specific property within the courts
control. Courts can adjudicate disputes other than ownership based upon the presence
of the defendant s property in the
Different Types Of Attacks That Can Be Performed
Lab Assignment 1
Student: Marshall Harry
Course: CSEC 610
Professor: Dr. Steven Richman
Date: March 05, 2016
1.Explain the two different types of attacks that can be performed in Cain and Able
to crack user account passwords. Which do you think is the most effective and why?
Cain and Able is a tool used to recover or crack passwords by means of
Cryptanalysis, Brute Force and Dictionary. Cryptanalysis makes password cracking
feasible by means of Faster Cryptanalytic time memory trade off (Montoro). This
hacking method uses large collection of encrypted passwords referred to as
Rainbow tables to increase the recovery time. During the lab exercise, only the Brute
Force and Dictionary hacking method were used with LAN Manager (LM) and NT
LAN Manager (NTLM) hashing algorithm.
In a Dictionary attack, large numbers of commonly used names and passwords
found in the dictionary are tested to see if the account credentials could be revealed
(Kak, 2015). Dictionary attack is most effective because account users don t use a
minimum of eight characters in length that contains at least an uppercase letter,
lowercase letter, numbers and symbols (Harthun, 2016). Instead, account users use
common dictionary words for password. According to Skyhigh Networks, password
is number two among their top twenty most commonly used passwords (Coles,
2016). In fact, it is so common that it has been compromised 1.3% of the time
(Coles, 2016). A Brute Force attack is very time
Perfect Pizzeria
Perfect Pizzeria: The Not So Perfect Case Study
At Perfect Pizzeria in Southville, Illinois, the working culture is by far not perfect! It
is an environment that lacks company dedication, effective management, and
individual motivation. Although the company is the second largest franchise of its
chain and is flourishing, it appears that the rewards are not beneficial to the
employees but only to the company.
The current system is such that each franchise is equipped with a manager who
works under area supervision and is the only full time salaried employee, an assistant
manager, a few night managers and roughly 18 20 other non managerial employees
all of whom work part time with a minimum wage pay. Within this set the managers

Perfect Pizzeria should invest in its most valuable assets, that which is the
employees in order to avoid high turnover rates (which increase cost in the long run)
and improve productivity and emotional labor. To keep employees motivated, create
an Employee Reward and Bonus program such as Employee of the Week or Month
whereby individuals will receive recognition via company newsletter and a plaque in
addition to a cash bonus. This will ensure that the manager is not the lone recipient of
bonuses and it will motivate employees to work harder. To foster better
communication between manager and employees the Goal Setting Theory of
Motivation should be implemented. (Organizational Behavior, Ch. 5 p. 121 123,
Shermerhorn, Hunt, et al. 11th Edition). The MBO process of this theory involves
joint goal setting between managers and those who report to them. This will increase
employees need for achievement and affiliation and also establish a form of
communication and cooperation.
PERFECT PIZZERIA PIZZERIA
Perfect Pizzeria of Southville, Illinois, is a franchise of a large chain which is
headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Although the business is prospering, it has
employee and managerial problems.
Each operation has one manager, an assistant manager, and from two to five night
managers. The managers of each pizzeria work under an area supervisor. There are

What Are The Objectives Of The League Of Nations
Introduction
The League of Nations was borne out of collective desire of the nations around the
world to prevent war, promote world peace and stability. According to Ebegbulem
(2011), the unprecedented destruction and death caused by World War I spurred the
victorious nations into formalizing a system of collective security in the form of
League of Nations. The primary motive of the League of Nations was to prevent
/deter or address any aggression by a state through collective response from other
states, thereby ensuring collective security. By ensuring collective security, the
member states aimed to discourage an aggressor nation from waging war against the
victim nation through the prospect of the aggressor having to face the collective
power of the members who were signatories to the League of Nations . The League
of Nations aimed to achieve peace by linking national and international security issues
to the promotion of economic development of its member countries (Schwabach
Cockfield, n.d.). The other objectives of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The assembly consisted of the members of the league and were scheduled to meet at
regular intervals. These meeting were held to deal with any matter within the sphere
of influence of the League or which had the potential to affect world peace. Each
members of the League had one vote and could not have more than three
representatives (Dorn, 2008).
2) The council consisted of representatives of the Principal allied and the associated
power together with representatives from four member countries of the League. The
non permanent four member team of the council were to be elected through two
thirds majority vote. At council meetings, each member of the League had one vote
and was allowed one representative (Dorn,
Plyometric Training
Plyometric Training
Personal trainers will often tell you what type training they want you performing, but
do they explain why?
We have broken down five popular types of workouts to assist you. The first training
type to be covered is, plyometric training.
Plyometric training exercises were once activities specifically used in the sporting
world. Today, plyometric training is commonplace in the gym environment and can
be performed by all gym users.
Plyometric exercises are powerful, fast and enhance body control and power (Miller,
Herniman, Ricard, Cheatham Michael, 2006, p. 458). They link speed and strength,
to produce power (Miller et al., 2006, p. 458). These types of exercises involve
eccentric contractions followed by concentric contractions. Eccentric contractions
occur when the muscle lengthens while producing force (Miller et al., 2006, p. 458).
An eccentric contraction generally occurs when weight is being lowered. A
concentric contraction, occurs when the muscle shortens as it produces force (Miller
et al., 2006, p. 458). This is generally the lifting phase of the movement. Plyometric
exercises can involve starting, stopping and changing direction (Miller et al., 2006,
p. 458). These types of exercises assist in developing agility, which is the ability to
control and maintain body position while changing direction during explosive ...

Some of the most common pieces of equipment that are used by personal trainers or
gym instructors in a gym setting for a client in regards to plyometric training include,
but are not limited to, hurdles, boxes, cones and medicine balls (Attridge Felice,
2008, p. 287). A wide range of exercises can be completed on the above mentioned
equipment. Some commonly used exercises include, jumping push ups, step box
depth jumps, medicine ball wall throws, jumping lunges, squat jumps, mountain

Gettysburg Address Dbq
President Abraham Lincoln gave a speech on the grounds where thousands of people
died after the Gettysburg Address; the controversy lies whether the Gettysburg
Address was significant or not. There are two sides to every story in this case there
are the ones who believe the address was important and then there are ones who
thought the address had no significance. The Gettysburg Addresswas full of logic and
professionalism. This being the case some might argue against Lincoln saying the
speech was more like good poetry, rather than a speech to the country. Were the
Presidents words to professionally toned? Adams, the man opposing the speech, later
notes there were mistakes and falsehoods in the words Lincoln used in his speech,
consequently,
The Twilight Zone By Rod Serling
The Twilight Zone
Do you think fear can kill? For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can
destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all its own
for the children and the children yet unborn. And the pity of it is that these things
cannot be confined to The Twilight Zone( Rod ). In 1959, one of the most popular
television series was The Twilight Zone, wrote and produced by Rod Serling. The
series includes many tales and adventures that are very thought provoking. The
Twilight Zone highlights the tragedies during the 1950 s, specifically in the
episode, The Monsters are Due on Maple Street . The Twilight Zone contains five
seasons but only thirty six of the episodes were during the 1950 s and 1960 s, and
were based on fear and catastrophe. The later episodes of the 1960 s reflected the
catastrophes in the 1950 s. In The Twilight Zone episode, The Monsters are Due on
Maple Street , the events display tragedies of the 1950 s, like the Red Scare,
McCarthyism, and the Space Race.
The Twilight Zone episode The Monsters are Due on Maple Street originally aired
on March 4, 1960, and is told in third person by an outside narrator. The episode
takes place in the 1960 s on a Saturday afternoon. Maple Street, U.S.A., late summer.
A tree lined little world of front porch gliders, hop scotch, the laughter of children,
and the bell of an ice cream vendor . The series is a science fiction or fantasy series.
The episode shows that humanity

  • 1. Essay On Corruption Crafting an essay on the subject of corruption is no easy task, as it involves navigating through a complex web of societal issues, political intricacies, and ethical considerations. Corruption, being a pervasive and multifaceted phenomenon, demands a comprehensive understanding and a nuanced approach. The difficulty lies in capturing the essence of corruption, which spans across various sectors such as politics, business, and public service. Unraveling the intricacies of corrupt practices, exploring their root causes, and proposing viable solutions requires extensive research and critical analysis. Moreover, addressing the topic often involves treading on sensitive ground. Delving into the corrupt practices within governmental institutions or corporate entities can be challenging, as it may involve scrutinizing powerful individuals or organizations. Balancing the need for transparency with the potential risks of backlash poses an additional layer of difficulty. The essay must also consider the global nature of corruption, acknowledging that it is not confined to a particular region or country. Drawing connections between different manifestations of corruption worldwide adds complexity to the research process. Furthermore, the challenge extends to maintaining a sense of optimism and motivation. Discussing a topic as pervasive and entrenched as corruption can be disheartening, and finding ways to inspire change without succumbing to cynicism is an ongoing struggle. In conclusion, tackling an essay on corruption requires a delicate balance of research, critical thinking, and ethical considerations. It demands a keen understanding of the subject matter, a fearless exploration of its various facets, and a commitment to proposing meaningful solutions. Despite the challenges, the endeavor is crucial in fostering awareness and advocating for positive change. For those seeking assistance with such complex topics, it's worth noting that HelpWriting.net offers a range of services. • 2. Essay Significance of the Number 3 in Fairy Tales Significance of the Number 3 in Fairy Tales Numbers do not exist. They are creations of the mind, existing only in the realm of understanding. No one has ever touched a number, nor would it be possible to do so. You may sketch a symbol on a paper that represents a number, but that symbol is not the number itself. A number is just understood. Nevertheless, numbers hold symbolic meaning. Have you ever asked yourself serious questions about the significance, implications, and roles of numbers? For example, Why does the number ten denote a change to double digits? Is zero a number or a non number? Or, the matter this paper will address: Why does the number three hold an understood and symbolic importance? My interest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, I offer what I call the Utility Based Approach, which attempts to explain the prominence of three by noting its usefulness in telling fairy tales. Indeed, the Utility Based Approach proposes that three, being the smallest possible number that denotes a group, is a useful entity when recalling a tale whose audience is assumed to either (1) desire mental relaxation, or (2) lack advanced/complex mental capabilities. Background/Historical Context Three has a logical reason for its important role throughout history. It is not merely the number that happens to fall between two and four. Three is the union of oneness and duality. It is the first number that is a combination of various previous numbers (assuming, as most societies have done, that zero is not a number). One and two are special as they are representations of oneness and otherness , but three starts the procession of all other numbers to follow (the set of numbers, 3 infinity, that can be the sum of a variety of previous numbers) (Symbolism). Whether this is realized consciously or subconsciously, it is an undeniable truth that seems hard to avoid. Indeed, this idea could be what gave rise to the spiritual significance of three. Three has always played an important part in the Judeo/Christian beliefs, as Ken Bassett outlines in his Pastor Note No. 138. First, and probably most

At the time I was going through the transition of moving back from my previous college back to my home in Miami, Florida. Disappointed, at how I did not push myself enough to succeed in my foregoing college, I came to question what I should do now. Everything felt so rushed, the control I had on it was nonexistent. I, like an audience in a movie theater sitting back and watching my life unfold in front of me. Eventually as time went on I decided the best thing to do, is fix myself. I found myself a job at the Grand Beach Hotelin Surfside, Florida as a hostess at the restaurant and everything changed since then. My job helped me become a better individual by showing... Learning how to show guests mutual respect and show more enthusiasm helped, and opened up to people doing what I never thought I would be capable of ever doing. During my time working at the hotel I had an epiphany; I learned the beauty in change . What led to my realization is a guest I encountered on a Friday morning would say something that I would never forget. Arriving at work I walk towards the podium, I had to stand to greet as well as take guest to their tables. While cleaning my station a woman around her late 80 s appeared I remember her skin being pale as white clouds passing uncovering the sun. As she approached me, I checked the time 6:30 AM the shiny red clock showed back to me. I thought Well she s an early bird. Looking back at her, she passed right by me and went directly towards a seat. I as one of my responsibilities in my job I had to go up to her to ask for her room information despite her ignoring me completely. Hurried over to approach her being a little irritated that she did not acknowledge me, I asked her Good morning Ma am do you have a room number? Suddenly, she lifts up her head, smiles and says You cannot control anything, can you? The words baffled me completely, smiling I respond in a jokingly manner I sure try to at least laughing, she responded It was a rhetorical

  • 5. Closed Flue Pipe Investigation Closed Flue Pipe Experiment Abstract The wind instrument I will be researching in this experiment will be the pipe organ, commonly used in cathedrals and churches. Pipe organs produce sound by pushing pressurized air through a set of flue pipes. Flue pipes usually have a circular cross section and are mostly made of wood or metal. One pipe can only produce one pitch, so to produce a range of pitches an organ will have multiple sets of pipes called stops. Organs can have as little as 12 pipes to as many as 20,000. Introduction All wind instruments rely on the vibration of air to produce sound. They all have some sort of pipe or tube in which standing air resonates and produces a fundamental frequency. This frequency of the sound... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For each length, a sine wave oscillator was used to measure the fundamental frequency. Results The following code was written in Matlab to create a graph; l=[0.340 0.295 0.250 0.219 0.168 0.135 0.124 0.100]; %Pipe length (y axis) f0=[236 272 311 350 454 551 610 714]; %Fundamental frequency f0 (Hz) (x axis) p=(1./f0) %Period plot(p,l, r* ); xlabel( 1/Frequency 1/Hz ); ylabel( Pipe Length m ); axis([0 0.005 0.1 0.35]); Gradient of graph = 84 Value of C (m) = 1.70E 02 Value of v (ms 1) = 336 Discussion After looking at the results, it is easy to see that as pipe got shorter, the fundamental frequency increases. A 0.340m length pipe gave a frequency of 236Hz, while a 0.100m length pipe gave a frequency of 714Hz. Conclusion The results shown above prove the proposed theory to be correct. If I were to do this experiment in the future I would use multiple pipes of different lengths rather than using a piston to alter the length. I think this would give more accurate results. I would also consider using pipes of different materials to see if it has any effect on the results.

Then the realization only struck Gregor when he was hit by the apple as thrown by his father Mr. Samsa, the collision brings forth this sudden realization within Gregor and his family, that could also be symbolized from the Bible, by the apple Your eyes shall be opened (Genesis 3:5, NIV). Gregor can already painfully see that his life has been completely changed, he no longer holds the position as the son; he is not useful because he cannot earn money anymore, he is just a gigantic vermin that is taking up space in the house. To the father, this can be similar to exile because he is leaving the comforts of his home and work. • 10. Identify Three Types Of Employer Organizations As... Anne Grandy Identify three types of managed care plans, such as Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO) and how they impact the way that health care is delivered at Healing Hands Hospital. Managed care is the provision of health care services being taken on by a single organization in the management of finances, insurance, delivery and payment (Shi, Singh, 2017). Additionally, managed careplans are a type of health insurance that contracts with health care providers and medical organizations, whereas the members are provided care at a reduced cost, usually the lowest possible cost. The amount paid depends on the rules of a specific network. The three types of managed care plans include, Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO), and Point of Service (POS). With the HMO plan, a primary care doctor is chosen, and coverage is for care provided within the network. The PPO plan pays more if care service stays within the network, than it pays if care is done outside of the network. Furthermore, the POS plan allows the patient to choose between the HMO and the PPO, for each visit to the doctor (healthychildren.org). Managed care has changed dramatically in the United States over the years. What did managed care look like 10 years ago compared to how it looks today? managed care grew more in the last years, bringing about new types of managed care plans through competing MCOs. To make their plans more attractive, organizations used payment variations. For instance, instead of capitation, PPOs used discounted fees payment. There were ones that offered enrollees choices between affiliated providers and non affiliated providers. MCOs also adopted various methods to control health care costs by actively monitoring utilization (Shi, Singh, 2017). Additionally, private health insurance, as well as high deductible health plans, can be offered as managed care plans nowadays. Also, available to Medicare and Medicaid recipients is the option to enroll in a managed care plan or continuing to stay with the traditional fee for service program. Now for specific services HMOs incorporates capitation and fee for service reimbursement, in their payment schemes. Discuss the future of managed care

Having strong family ties has been shown to provide resistance to peer pressure and that having factors in a person s life such as maternal warmth and positive psychological connections with family members causes a greater resistance to peer pressure (Chan Chan, 2013). Other factors in family life influence the levels of resistance to peer pressures. It was noticed that in immigrants, those who had a low generational status, meaning their families recently immigrated and had a good relationship with their parents were less likely to be susceptible to peer pressure (BГЎmaca Umana Taylor, 1997). When children have a high regard for their parents they are also shown to have a higher self esteem and a higher level of resistance to peer pressure (Sim, 2000). The relationship with families is very important, if strengthening this relationship can boost self esteem and as a result boost resistance to peer pressure there are benefits in strengthening this relationship other than happiness between family members. It is important to recognize and take advantage of these various stages of development in order to maximize group effectiveness and efficiency. There are several different models for small group development, but Tuckman s model is probably the most famous sequential stage theory (Johnson Johnson, 2016, p.27). The reason for the conflict is generally insecurity (Bonebright, 2010, p. 114), so providing a strong support system an reassurance can help move a group to the next phase. As members of the group begin to feel safe and secure, the conflict will settle and the group will develop a bond and unified goals. Labeled a period of norming, it is characterized by close relationships and cohesiveness (Group Development, 2003). In fact, this stage is so characterized by relationship that it could almost be viewed as a honeymoon phase. Group members will frequently set aside differences and unity becomes a priority. It is important at this stage to emphasize honesty and creativity because the group will likely be trying so hard to be amenable that some members may hold back. Others will be ready to open up given their newfound sense of security within the group. This is also a critical time for the group because it typically delineates a time to commit (Johnson Johnson, 2016). If a group reaches this stage and not all members are on board, it may hinder progress. Once a group has developed cohesiveness, it will truly begin to produce. This phase of effectiveness is titled performing according to Tuckman s model. At this stage, the group is a problem solving instrument , capable of working through obstacles and accomplishing goals (Bonebright, 2010, p. 114). Is it not uncommon for groups

There has been many speculation about whether or not the United States should abolish the penny from being minted any longer. Although the penny has been a part of the American culture since 1787, it has such a small value, it will always be a part of American history. So as the years go on we should realize that the penny is everything to the United States. The penny should not be eliminated from the money system due to the fact that it is a part of the American culture and has earned its respect over the years. In America, there is still a debate if the penny should be eliminated. If it was to be eliminated it would still be used, but in a minimal way. In Canada, the Canadian penny was eliminated due to cost, time, and the country believed it was a waste of money, inflation reduced its purchasing power by 95% since it was first minted domestically in 1908: back then the cent could buy goods of the cost of $0.20, today in other words. (The Economist). Once a small coin can no longer be used to buy individual items at that price, but it is only used to make change, it becomes more trouble than it is worth. Canadian pennies cost 1.6 Canadian cents to manufacture, and the government expected to save $11 million a year by eliminating them (The Economist). But that sum equivalent to 0.0006% of GDP is small change. Canadians feel that eliminating pennies is that their feeble purchasing power means dealing with coins,

International and Strategic Marketing Essay International and Strategic Marketing The globalization of business markets from domestic to international has generated a unique competitive advantage for all the organizations whose products and services are being welcomed by the customers all around the world demanding mass marketing efforts. In this regard, marketing research in the international environment is having different methodology and complications with respect to geographical boundaries of a specific country in which penetration and development of a product is required. Blood transfusion is a life saving intervention for patients in need of transfusion. Blood borne infections are common serious hurdles of blood transfusion. Considering the serious consequences of these infections and to hold back the transmission to minimum, it is extremely important to remain vigilant about the possible spread of these diseases in the course of blood transfusion1. Transfusion safety begins with healthy donors. Blood transfusion is safer than ever before through continuous improvements in donor recruitment, screening, testing of donated blood with increasingly sensitive assays, and appropriate clinical use of blood. Serologic testing for transfusion transmitted infections had historically been the foundation of blood screening, while newer strategies like nucleic acid testing (NAT) have helped further shorten the window period . Elements Of Macbeth And The Fall Of Man The Fall of Man The ancient Greek notion of tragedy concerned the fall of a great man, such as a king, from a position of superiority to a position of humility on account of his ambitious pride, or hubris. To the Greeks, such arrogance in human behavior was punishable by terrible vengeance. The tragic hero was to be pitied in his fallen plight but not necessarily forgiven: Greek tragedy frequently has a bleak outcome. Christian drama, on the other hand, always offers a ray of hope; hence, Macbeth ends with the coronation of Malcolm, a new leader who exhibits all the correct virtues for a king. Macbeth exhibits elements that reflect the greatest Christian tragedy of all: the Fall of Man. In the Genesis story, it is the weakness of Adam, persuaded by his wife (who has in turn been seduced by the devil) which leads him to the proud assumption that he can play God. But both stories offer room for hope: Christ will come to save mankind precisely because mankind has made the wrong choice through his own free will. In Christian terms, although Macbeth has acted tyrannically, criminally, and sinfully, he is not entirely beyond redemption in heaven. Fortune, Fate, and Free Will Fortune is another word for chance. The ancient view of human affairs frequently referred to the Wheel of Fortune, according to which human life was something of a lottery. One could rise to the top of the wheel and enjoy the benefits of superiority, but only for a while. With an unpredictable swing up

Peggy Young, a former UPS worker, experienced gender inequality. Due to her pregnancy, she was no longer able to lift the seventy pounds UPS required of the drivers, so she requested a change in workload. The company declined and put her on an unpaid leave ultimately leading to a lawsuit. In March of 2015, the Supreme Court ruled in Young s favor because of the past accommodations UPS made for workers who could not work up to their standards because of physical restriction (Zhou).Genderbias prevails mainly in jobs and schools. The average person does not realize how bad the workplace can be for inequality against women, so it is very shocking to them when they find out that women only make $.79 to a man s dollar (Covert). In order to prevent this unfair persecution of women, several changes need to occur in order to achieve gender equality and close the wage gap. However, the Supreme Court needs to take a big step and pass legislation ensuring women equal and fair treatment for women in all areas of society, especially in the workplace. If men and women make equal pay, it will affect the lives of everyone, therefore both genders need to strive to achieve this goal. In most cases, gender bias and stereotypes in the workplace is traceable to the stereotypes ingrained in people s minds while in school. Society expects young children to

VC firms invest in these mentioned companies in exchange of ownership stake. VCs take on the risk of financing risky start ups thinking that some of the firms will be successful who they pursue. Start ups are usually based on an innovative technology/business model and they are usually from the high technology industries, such as information technology (IT), social media or biotechnology. In exchange for high risk that venture capitalists assume by investing in smaller/startup companies, VCs usually get significant control over company s management decisions, with companies ownership and value. He lived 69 years, and although his work went largely unnoticed during his lifetime, he is now considered a prominent English Romantic poet. Blake s religious views, and his philosophy that man is god , ran against the religious thoughts at the time, and some might equate Blake s views to those of the hippie movement of the 20th century. In The Garden of Love , the conflict between organized religion and individual thought is the constant idea throughout the poem. The third stanza begins with the narrator visiting the garden of love, but he sees something he never saw there before, a chapel in the midst of the green he used to play on. When the narrator says he used to play on the green , this indicates that he was familiar with the Garden of Love in his childhood. He realizes that now he has reached adulthood, he finds that love s natural expressions are no longer free and universal, but bound by the restrictions of the organized church. Blake uses the chapel to represent the orthodox church of the 18th century. He uses this religious symbol to convey the idea of negativity, and seems to be dismissing organized religion as unnatural and restrictive. Blake changes the rhyme scheme from ABAB to ABCB in the third stanza to convey the change of tone in the poem (Griffiths). In the fourth stanza, Blake uses religious symbols to show how the structured religion of the Orthodox Church can destroy the love and joy within. The narrator finds that the gates to the chapel are shut, symbolizing the restrictive nature of organized religion. Blake alludes to the Ten Commandments when he describes the church gates as having Thou shalt not written across them. This demonstrates the constrained state that the church puts Blake in (Griffiths). Discouraged by the limiting statement on the gates, the narrator turns to the rest of the Garden in

  • 32. Theme Of Life Lies In Blanche Dubois Dealing with the harsh truths of life can be tough for anyone to handle, which is why people tell themselves lies. These lies are called life lies a falsehood used to rationalize the lifestyle people are living or actions they have committed. Tennessee Williams and Henrik Ibsen investigate how life lies can turn into delusions a state of mind or way of life when they are used to cope with the stresses of everyday life. Williams protagonist, Blanche DuBois, was a former southern belle forced to move in with her sister, Stella, after her husband s suicide and being evicted from Belle Reve, her family home. To cope with these traumatic events, Blanche decided to recreate her character. To do so, she lied to the people around about her sinful past because she wanted to appear to them as the pure, southern belle she once was. As the lies piled up, she came to believe them as truth, therefore, creating her delusion. Blanche only came to further and more deeply believe her delusion as the play progressed. On the other hand, Ibsen s protagonist, Nora, had been taken advantage of her whole life. She was merely a pawn of the two most important men in her life: her father and husband. Unlike Blanche, Nora s delusion was innate she was taught these lies were the truth from birth, whereas Blanche consciously created her delusions to protect her from past sins. Through a series of realizations, Nora came to see the truth of the lieshe was living. Nora was a doll confined to the walls and ways of Torvald, her husband s, doll house. Tennessee Williams, in A Streetcar Named Desire, and Henrik Ibsen, in A Doll s House, employ life lies portrayed as delusions as coping mechanisms; Ibsen explored how a new life and freedom can be gained from a realization of one s delusion, while Williams explored how unwillingness to accept a delusion can further trap and confine people. Williams utilized the symbols of light and darkness to hide Blanche physically just as she used lies to cover up and cope with her tainted past. Blanche avoided direct exposure to light because she was afraid of exposing herself and, therefore, her past. Different Types Of Attacks That Can Be Performed Lab Assignment 1 Student: Marshall Harry Course: CSEC 610 Professor: Dr. Steven Richman Date: March 05, 2016 1.Explain the two different types of attacks that can be performed in Cain and Able to crack user account passwords. Which do you think is the most effective and why? Cain and Able is a tool used to recover or crack passwords by means of Cryptanalysis, Brute Force and Dictionary. Cryptanalysis makes password cracking feasible by means of Faster Cryptanalytic time memory trade off (Montoro). This hacking method uses large collection of encrypted passwords referred to as Rainbow tables to increase the recovery time. During the lab exercise, only the Brute Force and Dictionary hacking method were used with LAN Manager (LM) and NT LAN Manager (NTLM) hashing algorithm. In a Dictionary attack, large numbers of commonly used names and passwords found in the dictionary are tested to see if the account credentials could be revealed (Kak, 2015). Dictionary attack is most effective because account users don t use a minimum of eight characters in length that contains at least an uppercase letter, lowercase letter, numbers and symbols (Harthun, 2016). Instead, account users use common dictionary words for password. According to Skyhigh Networks, password is number two among their top twenty most commonly used passwords (Coles, 2016). In fact, it is so common that it has been compromised 1.3% of the time (Coles, 2016). A Brute Force attack is very time
