Relationship Between Honey And Bees
The relationship between flowers and bees is that they both benefit each other. The
benefit that the Bee has of the flower is the Bee pollinate it, which they don t do on
purpose, but has they go from flower to flower pollen falls on the flower on their way
back to the bees hive.
The flower benefits the Bee because the flower produces pollen which the Bee uses
as food.
Pollen and honey are the only food bees eat. The relationship between the bees and
flowers evolved through coВevolution when a Bee accidentally landed on a flower
and found sugar and since then bees have been relying on the flowers for food and
the flower has been relying on the
Bee to pollinate it. They have no harmful effects on each other, they help each other a
lot and

Photographer Techniques
A good photographer knows how to use some little tricks to create a pretty scene,
and the good photographer knows how to use small techniques to build the mood
for the photo. Pretty scene and mood of the photo together create the meaning for
the photo, and they allure people to step into the photo. Some of the techniques that
used to make a photo looks pretty is the lighting of the photo, and the angle of that
photo. And some tricks that are used to create a photo are models, sand, fake fog,
etc. Photographer just needs a little bit of tricks to create a deep meaning of the
photo. The first photo shows a mysterious wardrobe that stands in the middle of some
nowhere desert. The wardrobe is surrounded by cloudand fog. The sky is not clear,
and it does not present the sky bluecolor. Instead, the sky is cloudy and gloomy. It
seems like some important but mysterious event is in prepare to happen. Then
suddenly appears a mysterious wardrobe on the desert under the gloomy sky. The

Second photo shows a man is building a model of a small wardrobe on top of a
stone. The man wears a pair of glasses is carefully bends in front of the model. His
brow furrows and his lip tightly together all show that he is afraid any additional
actions might mess up the model. The man holds a white cup with fake fog on it.
He carefully uses his right hand to spill the fog around the wardrobe, and he uses his
left hand to hold on to the stone and adjust the wardrobe. Third photo shows a camera
in front of the model. Model is put on a table in the beach, and it is put under the
cloudy but not gloomy sky. The camera stands so close to the wardrobe because the
wardrobe is small. Then the photo is taken, and the first photo appears. Photographer
then change the background color of the first photo to make it seems gloomy and
Petruchio A Bad Husband In Taming Of The Shrew
What character traits make a bad husband? Most would answer someone that is
unkind, forceful, impolite, bad with kids, or egotistic. In Taming of the Shrew,
readers say that Petruchio is a terrible husband. However, readers do not understand
how women were treated in the 1500 s. Petruchio is not a bad husbandto Kate,
because Petruchio is not forceful, he suffers with her, and shows Kate her true
worth. Petruchio is not an awful husband, because he is not forceful. Many things
have changed since 1500 s, including how husbands treat their wives. Throughout
the story, readers will undergo pity for Kate and it is difficult not to. Her spouse
married her for her dowry, and he does not rightly love her. However, most 1500 s
marriages were this way. The husband was forceful and married for personal
advancement. Most marriages of the time were of necessity, not love (Pearson 2).

Growing up, Kate was recognized as Bianca s bizarre sister. With Petruchio, she is
shown her worth. She is now known as Petruchios affectionate wife. Her entire life
she was compared to a girl who was flawless. Being compared to Bianca causes her
to become shrewish. Kate is not Bianca; however, she does not deserve the
treatment she recieves. Kate is surrounded by men that want to sell her off, so they
can grab the real prize, which is Bianca. Baptista acts as a bidder and tries to get rid
of his bad good before he sells his top prize. Baptista allows people to talk
disgustingly about Kate. Petruchio takes her in and shows her that somebody does
want her. Petruchio plays games with her to show her that she can be an intelligent
and devoted wife. Petruchio plays the director and shows Bianca that she is a bright
woman that can play any role that her husband requires her to play. Kate is not

Grizzly Bear Lake Logos
Some strategies that Garrett Hardin uses throughout his text are Pathos and Logos.
He uses these devices in order to appeal to the audience and to make his text sound
more credible. A example of logos is, As of 1973, the U.S. had a population of 210
million people, who were increasing by 0.8 percent per year. Outside our lifeboat, let
us imagine another 210 million people (say the combined populations of Colombia,
Ecuador, Venezuela, Morocco, Pakistan, Thailand and the Philippines) who are
increasing at a rate of 3.3 percent per year. Put differently, the doubling time for this
aggregate populationis 21 years, compared to 87 years for the U.S. In this section he
establishes logos by using logic to help support his argument. He also uses... Show

His way of learning would be doing chores you could say and doing other activities
that helped him learn about the world. He knows that his son is not the only one
that struggles from this problem. This is why he gave facts about some certain
things that are meant especially for those students, materials they can use to help
them learn. Throughout the text Medicine Grizzly Bear Lake was very formal and
respectful. This is a key step in insuring to get the teacher s attention and try to
persuade her. In the following paragraphs I will explain how his son learned, and
also how Medicine Grizzly Bear Lake could improve his argument.
Medicine Grizzly Bear Lake s son is named Wind Wolf. His teacher would call him
wind thinking wolf was a middle name. He insisted that she would call ind wolf
because it was his full name. Wind Wolf was raised by an indian family this is one
of the reasons why he was taught differently. By doing so he is not used to and
does not fully understand the way that people teach him in a public school. He
grew up learning differently, so that does not mean that he is wrong when he
answers a question, since he learned differently it could have been right. For
example, in the text there is an example of this type of situation. If you ask him how
many months there are in a year, he will probably tell you thirteen. He will respond
this way not because he doesn t know how to count properly, but because he has been

Demand analysis
From 1994 to 1997, the number of infants born in US is around 10 million (birth to
30months). A baby, on average, uses five diapers per day for 30 months, for a total of
4500 diapers. At an average retail price in the range of 18 to 27 cents per diapers,
each baby represents about 1012.5 dollars in retail sales. The retail dollar value of
the US disposable diapers market was estimated to be 3.39 billion dollars in 1997.
The retail dollar value of the training pants and young pants market was estimated to
be 595 million dollars in 1997.
Distribution channels
Disposable diapers and training pants are distributed principally through grocery
stores, drugstores and mass merchants. Grocery stores accounted for
approximately 2 billion dollars in diapers and training pants retail sale in 1997.
Grocery store distribution of diapers and training pants has been decreasing as a
percentage of total retail sales since 1994. Grocery Stores accounted for 51.2% of
retail sales in 1997, compared with 60% in 1994.
Mass merchants and drugstores recorded diaper and training pants retail sales of

My First Vacation Trip
Over the summer, my family and I flew to Europe. Here is my crazy
misadventure... Two days after school ended, we packed our bags and left for the
airport. I was super excited to start this trip! We got on the plane, and our flight was
9 hours long (We also flew British Airways). That means I watched a lot of movies
during the flight. When we arrived in London for our layover, the pilot said that
we might be on the runway for a while. So 30 minutes later, he sent buses to come
pick us up and take us to the terminal. Once we arrived at the terminal, the airport
was packed. I had no idea what was happening, and neither did my family. We sat
down somewhere in the airport clueless on what to do. We asked everybody what
was happening and they either said, they can t tell us or they don t know. So my
dad and I went downstairs to stand in a line that we thought would help us. One
hour later, me and my dad got to the front of the line and we got no information. We
went back upstairs to meet my mom and sister. Then we all thought, we might
never see our checked bags again. At this point we didn t know what to do. Later
we found out there was a line to get out of the airport so we got in that line and
stood in the line for 3 hours. Once we got to the front of the line, they took us down
an elevator to go through British customs. We stood in that line for 4 hours. Once
we got past customs, we went to baggage claim where we didn t find our bags, so we
talked to a lot of people trying to
The Consequences Of The Truman Doctrine
The foreign policy of the United States can be defined as a labyrinth a set of
complex intricacies which either lack comprehension or are characterized by
meticulous thought. Established during a period of ideological warfare and
domestic hysteria, it is evident the Truman Doctrine was conceived with a disregard
for the future stability of American international affairs. Engulfed within a period
marked by massive power struggles and distorted accusations, the Truman Doctrine
may appear minimal in regard to alterations of the United States international
attitude. However, the Doctrine acted as a catalyst for the shift in America s foreign
policy objectives and vision. It is clear the Truman Doctrine produced detrimental
consequences in regard to the international policy of the United States, stability of
foreign countries, and continuing repercussions in the modern day. Following the
Allies victory in World War II, and preceding the historical period of the Red Scare,
relations between the Soviet Union and the United States were relatively neutral (in
spite of the drastically different ideological viewpoints). Contrary to popular belief
the Doctrine was originally constructed to quell communist uprisings, it is clear the
intention was to establish stability within European nations vital to the economic
interests of the United States (Gaddis 11). As domestic tidings began to alter as a
result of the Red Scare, the Doctrine would become a stigma for ideological conflict
The Epilogue Analysis
The most pressing issue involving communication, gender, and culture would be
acceptance. Individuals need to take into consideration that even though they want
many aspects to remain the same, things are bound to change.
After reading the Epilogue and the textbook, I realize that we need to be willing to
accept what families decide is the best choice for the work load among both parents.
Growing up with both my parents working outside the house helped me appreciate
both members and what they were able to contribute to the family. This also helps me
realize that even though one family member may decide to stay home, that does not
make them any less important to the family overall. A statement that Julia Wood
made in the Epilogue stood out to me. She says that As women and men, you can
affect what society expects of and admires in each sex (Wood, 321). This showed me
that we have the ability to impact the gender roles society holds. It is important to not
judge a father ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are many things in society that people find offensive. As the next decade
comes into view, there needs to be emphasis placed on grasping the differences in
each individual person which would help us realize that not everyone reacts to
things the same. Wood continues to talk in the Epilogue about our generation
taking the time to recognize that not everyone is the same in the world. She says
Maybe your generation will replace the melting pot metaphor with one that
recognizes commonality without obliterating real and valuable differences among
people (Wood, 322). I think that she makes a great point here. We have been raised
to understand that there is a melting pot in our society. This idea may need to
change in order to better suite what each person needs. It is important to recognize
that we are not robots in society today. Each and every one of us wants to feel
accepted for who we are as unique
The Oklahoma Outrage And The Tulsa Outrage
All throughout the history of Tulsa, Oklahoma there has been many racially charged
tragedies that have happened. Many people believe that the so called Brady Street,
which was named after the founding father of Tulsa, Wyatt Tate Brady, should be
changed due to his membership with the Ku Klux Klan. In 2013, business owners in
Tulsawanted and are still, in 2017, wanting to change the Brady street named after
W.T. Brady and name it Brady street after the Civil War photographer. I believe that
it should not be changed just because of the story behind Wyatt Tate Brady and
how much he truly was involved with The Tulsa Outrage and The Race Riot and
what The Brady District is today. One of the most horrific events that happened in
1917 was the Tulsa Outrage. The Tulsa Outrage was most known for when
seventeen men were murdered. One late November night a group of about fifty
men dressed in all black known as the Wobblies approached seventeen men. The
seventeen men were then pulled from the lineup, tied to a tree, a Knight approached
every man with a double piece of hemp rope and whipped the victim s back until
blood draped their backs. Another man stepped forward and slathered boiling tar on
the victim s backs with a paint brush, coating him from head to seat. The final act of
humiliation, the Knight then padded the victim s back with feathers from a down
pillow (Chapman 2). According to multiple interviews conducted by National Civil
Liberties Bureau Investigator L.A.
Michael Patton s Utilization-Focus Evaluation
H. Stanley Judd once quoted, A good plan is like a road map: it shows the
destination and usually the best way to get there. Since evaluation is judge on the
uses of its findings it is important to know where to start and where to end. The goal
is to help the readers understand how evaluation is judge, how to utilize the findings
and the lasting impact on those who were part of the evaluation.
Summary:
My essay looks at Part 1 of Utilization focus Evaluation , through the eyes of author
Michael Patton, who believed that Evaluation is done for and with specific intended
primary users for specific, intended uses (2009, p.36). It presumes that evaluations
are judged by their utility and use. Evaluators should carefully consider how
everything affects the use. The term use is defined by how people apply findings and

Patton supported his claim with adequate evidence throughout the reading. The
author strongly suggests that evaluation should never be done independently, but
primary intended users should be allowed to sit at the table to help make decisions
that would influence the intended use. One example was the welfare to work
program exercise where internal evaluators met to discuss the finding of their
evaluation. It is clear that no primary intended users were identified and little
thoughts if any were given to how the evaluation results would be used. For Patton,
the number one priority to good evaluation starts with primary intended users who
input can help guide the evaluation from the start to the finish. In contrast, Brandon
W. Youker, author of Goal Free Evaluation: A potential Model for the Evaluation of
Social Work Programs believed in a goal free evaluation, whereby evaluators should
make observations, and measure any outcomes intended or unintended without any
knowledge, goals or even
The Importance Of Community Service
community service they oblige to do, Few of our programs seem to care about the
relationship between service and the classroom. Until then, the relevance is null it
becomes another assignment, compulsory and at risk of being completed half
heartedly. as JA Alonzo and Walter Payton argued in the debate. More doubt focused
on the sincerity of the participants, especially when it comes to mandatory service ,
people suspect if students will keep their genuineness and passion of committing
when volunteering becomes mandatory. On the other side, Requiring community
service or granting credit for it does not cheapen it, nor does it lessen the effect of it,
another student wrote in a counterpoint editorial. It gives students who might not
have otherwise done so the chance to understand the most important lesson they can
learn: that they have power to bettertheir world. (Sparks, 2013)
As for China, people started to become familiar with the concept of Voluntary service
after its first being introduced into China in 1990s, and it concentrates mainly in the
fields of social charity, urgent aids, knowledge popularization and public welfare.
(Luckystar, 2012) As an important element of social service (one of the three
functions of institutions of higher education in China), it s a fundamental form of
college students donation with their manual and mental energy to give back to the
world and fulfill their self value.

Nonprofit Vs. Non-Profit Organization
All organizations big or small, for profit or non profit have a structure in which
dictates how they function. The evolution of communication with emails, video
conferencing, instant messaging, text messages and social media sites has forever
changed how organizations communication is structured. In a global work
environment, organizations are now utilizing people with different perceptions,
backgrounds and work attitudes (Himmer, 2013). Organizational structureguides
coordination and allocation of tasks leading to the organization s goal. An
organization structure can specifically control and instruct how employees behave
and what values are accepted by an organization. In a globalized economy, many
organizations redesign their structures to cater towards the ever changing work
environments. Reshaping an organization structure may mean employee s roles and
responsibilities to align with cultural changes, in efforts to become more efficient and
productive. Pfizer the global pharmaceutical company has discovered that many of
their staff hired to develop strategies and innovate new ideas, were spending 20 to 40
percent of their time on researching, creating documents, manipulating data and...

Non profit organizations typically focus on society needs such as feeding the
hungry or providing shelter for the home less. Non profit organization has no
owners and focus on revenue exceeding operational cost (Green, n.d). Where as a
for profit company has an owner or owners and main goal is maximize profit for
the owners and shareholders. Because TV is a luxury item and no one needs it to
survive, a non profit would be a poor structure choice. Non profits survive on the
ability to help society typically. There of course are some exceptions, REI is a non
profit organization owed and controlled by its
Australian Theater Ruby Moon and Stolen
Contemporary Australian theatre mainly focuses on the reflection of the real
Australia and communicating to the audience real and modern issues/ideas that
respond to the social climate and community. Australian theatre practitioners use
various performance styles, techniques and dramatic conventions to help portray their
ideas to their audiences and make them feel a particular way to the ideas presented in
a play. Without the use of these styles, techniques and conventions it wouldn t be
possible for the practitioners to emphasise their ideas.

Cameron is able to underscore ray and Sylvie s dislocation with reality and their

the fear and paranoia which permutes society. This is reflected in his dialogue. Also

Anne, Shirley and Jimmy; and in doing so, portrays a myriad of personal experiences
of those living in Australian Society. Harrison does this through the skilful use of

Sexual Abuse and Personal Identity, and it is through these experiences in which
Harrison demonstrates the personal experiences of the Stolen Generation.

This is achieved through a variety of dramatic techniques, particularly, Space,

The River Bank At My Uncle s Camp
When I was young, I used to refrain from going down to the river bank at my uncle
s camp. I hated it because I was always afraid that I would fall. It was steep and so
much higher than the river it surrounded. As a child, I never stopped to wonder
why the land was so much higher than the water. Looking back now, it seems very
simple. The water shaped the land. Although I experienced this on a very small
level, we see it on an enormous scale every day. Throughout Michigan and even
throughout the entire world, water has created the land shapes that we are used to.
Without water, we would not have the unique land structures that exist today. I was
born and raised right here in the beautiful state of Michigan. Michigan is a unique
place because it is two separate peninsulas connected by a bridge and separated by
the Mackinac Straits. In short, us Michigan natives have grown up surrounded by
water. Michigan has about 58,000 sq. miles of land and 38,000 miles of water. The
majority of the water that makes up Michigan is formed from the Great Lakes: No
point in Michigan is more than 6 miles away from one of the Great Lakes. It is
clear that water is a big part of the composition of this state. Since water is such a
big part of Michigan, I find myself very curious about what it is and what it does.
The first thing you need to know when you are researching water history is the water
cycle. The water cycle is an infinite circle in which water evaporates, is carried
Essay On Leverage
Blog #23_ Leverage_ What is The Best Leverage for Your Forex Trading Strategy
Introduction
Understanding how to trade forex isn t always the easiest of tasks, as in order to
successfully turn a profit a trader must have a detailed knowledge of the market, the
right trading strategy, and a selection of functional trading tools. One tool that is
commonly praised is leverage, as through correct use it can boost a trader s output
without the need for any additional capital upfront. The following article takes an in
depth look at leverage, helping you get a grasp on what leverage is appropriate for
your forex trading strategy and all round market approach.
What is leverage?

The margin in this instance would be $1,000, with margin based leverage equalling
100:1 (100,000/1,000). Many don t equate margin based leverage to being
legitimate leverage, as it doesn t affect a trader s risk exposure, as a trader s margin
requirement might not influence his or her profits or losses. Reason being that a
trader can choose to allocate more than the required margin for any active position.
Real Leverage
In order to understand the real degree of leverage within any position you are
undertaking, you must divide the total value of your positions by your trading
capital. For example, should you have $10,000 in your account and you choose to
open a $100,000 position, by default you are trading with 10x leverage. Now,
should you trade two standard lots ($200,000) instead of a single standard lot
($100,000), you will then be trading at 20x leverage. You can probably start to
figure out how this works from a real leverage perspective using these examples,
with the leverage offered being related to the level of margin and the discretion of the
broker.
Understanding associated levels of risk
As you can plainly see, by making use of leverage you can magnify not only your
profits, but should things take a turn for the worse, your losses as well. Think about
it this way, the greater the level of leverage you use, the greater the level of risk you
take on. What this means is that leverage can
Modern Myths Redefined Research Paper
Myth Redefined for the Modern Age Myth has been defined and manipulated
throughout its usage in order to fit the desired criteria for explaining a multitude of
phenomena. The usage of the word myth has steadily increased in the English
language, applying to an increasing number of circumstances. Today, there exist
programs such as MythBusters, where a group of hosts test classic wives tales and
conundrums, while classifying them as myth. Quite obviously, these common
misconceptions and questions do not fit the format and definition of a myth as it has
been derived from the Greek mythos. Myth has come to be defined as a
misconception, a distilled version of the term s former significance. It must now be
proposed that myth shall be redefined in order to provide a balance between the
ancient and modern meanings. Myth in the context of modern culture needs to be
redefined, shedding the connotation of connection to the divine, embracing the
possibility of fewer qualifications, and allowing current cultural situations to adopt
the definition of a myth without blemishing the significance of the term s history....

Such a question has sparked much debate, comparing the ancient myths of gods and
goddesses to subordinate ideas of bigfoot and superstition. However, there do exist
modern myths that still maintain a connotation of the supernatural, along with a
difficult moral lesson. Examples include El Chupacabra, a creature that is often
recognized as demonic, preying upon the livestock of immoral farmers throughout
Central America. The issue with the definition then, becomes the formal background
of a traditional story, as well as the characters within the story, as many modern myths
lack such a structured background. Many myths are not capable of fulfilling all of the
characteristics of the archaic definition, and

Fort Lauderdale s Plastic And Reconstructive Surgeon
Fort Lauderdale s Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. John Michael Thomassen
can use chin implants to increase the size of the chin or he can reduce the size and/or
projection of a patient s chin with a chin reduction surgery. With both of these
procedures, Dr. Thomassen provides his patients with a natural looking chin that is
more proportionate to his or her other facial features.
The Chin Plays an Important Role in the Proportions of the Face
The chin greatly affects the overall appearance of the face; furthermore, the chin
also plays an important role in the way the patient s facial profile looks. For
example, a chin that is proportionately too small for the other features of the face can
cause the size of the nose and forehead to be exaggerated. Dr. John Michael

the men and women of Fort Lauderdale, and its surrounding communities.
Chin Implants Are Used in Fort Lauderdale to Address a Weak Chin
Dr. Thomassen frequently performs chin augmentation procedures using chin
implants to correct a chin that is lacking adequate projection. This chin characteristic
is referred to as a weak chin. When a patient has a weak chin, his or her nose and

may practice any religion that he or she identifies as their faith. It also grants all
citizens the right to free speech. Free speech means that an individual can say
whatever they wish, without any restrictions, even if the words are inappropriate,
disrespect any political leader or disrespect the government itself. We have a right to
say what we desire. The first amendment along with granting the freedom of speech
and the freedom of religion, allows freedom of press. This allows the press the ability
to publish what they desire, even if it is absurd or incorrect. The second amendment
of the United States Constitution states A well regulated militia, being necessary to
the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be

Japan s Laws Of The Trafficking Of Women And Children
Is...
Japan is a Tier 2 source, transit, and destination country for forced labor, sexual
exploitation, and forced marriages. Men, women, and children are all susceptible
to trafficking. The government actively participates in the exploitation of its
people, especially through the program of TITP, or the Technical Intern Training
Program. The proliferation of the sexual trafficking of women and children is
driven by sex tourism. Runaway girls are among the victims of this horrific trade.
Japan does not meet the minimum standard of the 2000 UN TIP Protocol and is
the only G 8 member who did not accede to neither its standards nor the 2000
Transnational Organized Crime Convention. There are no convictions for
perpetrators of forced labor and no laws enacted to prosecute traffickers. Japan s
laws are not collusive with international definitions of trafficking. In 2015, Japan had
a modest increase in the enforcement of ant trafficking laws. However, Japan s laws
do not exclude all forms of trafficking, rather there are large gaps in their criminal
laws. Under the 1956 ProstitutionPrevention Law, Articles 7 through 12 criminalizes
the procurement of prostitutes and forced prostitution. Article 226 2 also criminalizes
the buying and selling of humans. Under the 1947 Employment Security Act, it
criminalizes the engagement of labor recruitment through violence, intimidation, or
confinement. It also criminalizes the recruitment of labor for work that is harmful to
public health and moral
The Negative Effects Of Personal Devices In The Workplace
Allowing personal devices in the workplace can become an issue for some
companies. In today s world, technology has become problematic. Let s face it, we
live in a world that will leave their money at home before leaving their phones at
home. New research conducted by British psychologists shows that young adults use
their smartphones roughly twice as much as they estimate that they do. In fact, the
small preliminary study found that these young adults used their phones an average
of five hours a day that s roughly one third of their total waking hours. (Gregoire,
n.d.) As I discussed before the negative impact/dependence of phones has gotten out
of control. In my own opinion, allowing devices at work to any associate other than a
manager in the retail industry, fast foodcompanies, railroad, and restaurant
companies, isn t worth the trouble. Can you imagine going into your favorite retail
store and the associateis distracted with their phones other than assisting you. The
associate will give the companybad morale, decrease productivity, and lack
customer service skills. I work in a retail industry and I am part of the management
team, from my experience some associates can retain from their phones and others
simply cannot. I have an associate by the name of Orianna. Ori is categorized under
the new generation. She must stay connected to social media and urges to text her
friend s other than being focus at work. She takes unnecessary bathroom breaks to use
her phone
A Research Study Of Condition A Phobia Into A Young
Infant
Abstract
This paper is about an experiment to condition a phobia into a young infant,
performed in 1920 by the name of Albert B by a John B. Watson, supposedly a
pseudonym. More specifically this paper is about what happened to little albert
and where he is now. A lot of research has gone into this subject and there are many
different angles to come from on this subject. Some believe that he was never seen
again after the experiments and died at a young age. The majority believes he is
Douglas Merritt and infant that supposedly died and a young age. The ethical and
moral problems with this experiment were of great controversy and it has been
accepted now that little Albert had a neurological impairment at the time of the
experiment, Which Watson kept from the public records. Little Albert was taken
from the experiments to go home and was never deconditioned or scheduled for long
term follow up. Some people went as far as to analyze the videos to find matching
features.
Keywords: Little Albert,
Almost all psychology students learn at some point that a Watson and Rayner tried to
condition an infant (11 months) called Albert B to fear a white lab rat. They realized
that the infants fear was transferred to other furry like objects like rabbits and dogs,
and even a Santa Claus mask. (Fridlund, Alan J)
After the conditioning however the infant left to go home and developed
hydrocephalus and died in 1925.

Analysis, Driver, Expressive, And Amiable
Group members are classified into the following social styles: Analytical, Driver,
Expressive, and Amiable. (Griffith Dunham, 2015). Analytical is someone who is
picky about how things are done. They always want to be right no matter what.
The driver is someone who is determined to embrace new things, one who is tough,
and dominated. Expressive is someone who is enthusiastic and reacts to different
behaviors. Amiable is the one who is cooperative, dependable, and supportive in a
friendly manner. When people gather in a group it can be a good or a bad
experience. There are many personalities that can be in a group such as family,
school, or workplace. (Griffith Dunham, 2015). Working in groups with different

John Cranach As A Satire Of The Papacy
In sixteenth century Europe, the Protestant Reformation was brought in with
artworks that questioned religion. In this time period, Protestant reformers began to
split from the Catholic Church and challenge the ideas of the Catholic hierarchy. The
artwork embodied much of the cultural, religious, and political environment of the
time in which it was made. Additionally, it embodied the philosophies of those who
split from the Catholic Churchand questioned how society understood what was
right and what was wrong. Satire of the Papacy was an etching by Lucas Cranach in
1555. The work features a satirical take on the Catholic order of Rome. The satirized
depiction of the Pope in Cranach s etching is relevant to the cultural, religious, and
political environment that sixteenth century Europe was experiencing at the time.
Criticism of the church appears in Cranach s etching: he depicts the Pope with three
separate heads and a snake tail. The environment in North Europe was well on its way
to disturbance, change, and separation.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Satire of the Papacy echoes the idea that the Pope himself was not the idealized figure
that rightfully declared what was acceptable and what was not. Similarly, the issue of
religious redemption was frequently argued as the church pushed for the purchase of
indulgences and withheld redemption from those who did not attend confession.
Reformers were resolute in their belief that one could achieve religious faith without
the need of the cemented requirements of the church. Suddenly, it became possible
that the Catholic Church s word was not final and
Permo-Triassic Mass Extinction Essay
The Permo Triassic mass extinction: what died out
LIFE IN THE SEA
Fusulinid foraminifera disappeared completely, although other foram groups suffered
much lower levels of extinction. Palaeozoic corals (Rugosa and Tabulata) also
vanished. Stenolaemate bryozoans and articulate brachiopods suffered near complete
extinction. The extant echinoderm groups all experienced severe bottlenecks at this
time: only two lineages of crinoids and echinoids made it into the Mesozoic. Several
echinoderm groups (e.g. Blastoidea) suffered complete extinction.
Fusilinid foraminifera (right) were unicellular animals, ranging in size from 0.1
8mm. Benthonic or planktonic forms with a considerable disparity in morphology.

The non fusilinid foraminifera (far right) included five suborders. The different
suborders were affected differently by the extinction: the Allogromiina are poorly
known, the Textulariina lost a third of genera; Miololina lost half of the genera;
Lagenina and Involutina showed dramatic increase in post extinction

and then reappearing in the Early Triassic, and radiating to become the dominant

Comparing Heart Of Darkness And Recitatif By Joseph
Conrad
Race, Ethnicity, and Nationality are a vital part of any individual. The overall
population on our planet is growing and becoming more diverse. The importance of
these things in American Society is very complicated. Race represents the evolution
of culture from many years ago, Ethnicity symbolizes who we are and how we are
influenced, and Nationality tells us where we come from. Although there are many
theories; race, ethnicity, and nationality are socially formed and is real in society.
The affects they have on peer groups, media, and children have a big impact on the
way people live on a day to day basis.
Postcolonial literature addresses the problems of decolonization of many non
western countries becoming independent from western control. Postcolonial
literature focuses on racial relationships and the effects of race itself. An example of
Postcolonial literature is Joseph Conrad s text, Heart of Darkness . This text
described a sailor s journey up the Congo River. The novel also allowed readers to
understand his feelings towards the empire and the ruthless treatment of the African
natives.
Another Postcolonial text that brings race and ethnicity together is Toni Morrison s
story, Recitatif . The story is about two young girls who share a rocky friendship. The

The world has changed so much in the past years but the identity of racism still
exists. Women has also faced a lot of issues over the years with discrimination being
one. Like Toni Morrison short story, Hanan Al Shaykh text Women s Swimming Pool
discusses everyday struggles between women. Women in Islamic countries face many
issues, but in this story it describes the difficult task the young woman faces as she
tries to complete her goal of visiting the sea. Throughout the story she is brainwashed,
and told that she cannot complete her dream. But the ultimate goal is to push through

Sjogren s Syndrome Essay
Sjogren s syndrome (SS) is a chronic, systemic autoimmune disease characterized
by keratoconjunctivitis and xerostomia results from infiltration of the lacrimal
glands and salivary glands by lymphocytes. It occurs worldwide and in all age
groups with a female predisposition. It may exist as primary or secondary SS. Oral
manifestations of SS may help in early diagnosis and management of the disease.

Exploring Federal Legislation Case Study
Exploring Federal Legislation and Relations
Forming a Union at Carmel Partners Carmel Partners is an organization that does
not have an organized union or any labor representation. The employees are all
hired and work on an at will basis. Should a labor relations organization convince the
Carmel employees to unionize the following federal agencies would have an impact
on the labor relations process at Carmel:
1.United States Department of Labor Management Standards is responsible for
administering and enforcing the Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of
1959 (LMRDA). This agency ensures that the laws such as requirement for reporting
between employers and labor relations organization are handled correctly. They also

Steps to form a Union There are many steps, rules and regulations that must occur in
order to for an organized labor union. If employees of a company want to have a
union represent them, they must sign authorization cards, petition for an election,
hold hearings, determine the appropriate bargaining unit, and have an election to
determine who will represent the employees (Holley, 2012). There are many rules to

An Approach to the Regional Neoliberal Governance in...
An approach to the regional neoliberal governance in Southern Africa from a critical
perspective.
In order to examine the possible implications of neoliberalism in contemporary
Africa, an analysis based on a regional dimension is important. The multiplicity of
strategies and methods of governance in a specific regional context can appear
merging, mingling or even clashing, since regions can be understood as political and
social projects, where different actors act in favour of the maintenance, protection or
transformation of prevalent structures. In that way, according to Söderbaum, regions
can be disrupted from within and from without by the same forces that build them up
. (Söderbaum 2004a, p. 421). The process of economic ... Show more content on

The problems that arise from the expansion of the neoliberal policies, as a core
element of the attempted regional governance and regional integration, become
more obvious if we focus on concrete cases from the region. Taking in consideration
the limited scope of the essay, I will refer to problems that have arosen in the case of
South Africa and its foreign and domestic policies in connection to economic
development and integartion of the southern african region. Domestically, South
Africa was aiming at reducing state expenditure, at privitizations and the
liberalization of trade and capital. Under the GEAR, since 1996, neoliberalism
became the leading force in its economy, while the country appeared willingfull to
dominate in the region s economic and political spheres, by establishing a market for
its expanding economy, rather than being involved at the assistance of other
continental countries. Contradicting the main assumption of neoliberal regional
governance, South Africa s economic interests are served by a political strategy that
is engineered to pry open markets, and to pave the way for establishing footholds in
different economic sectors, especially if this will result in muscular corporate
penetration. (Alden Le Pere, p. 159). The country managed to rapidly expand its
economy through exports of products and capital, to the rest of the continent. This
resulted at South Africa Inc. as

Step 3: course of action (COA) development. The first step of formal COA
development is to review and update facts, assumptions, and forces available that
were identified during mission analysis. The second step is to generate conceptual
possibilities to support the [mission] (Artillerization, n.d., Step 3: Course of Action
Development section, В¶ 1). It is recommended that several COAs be developed
during this step. During this step the author would identify which type of
equipment was needed to support the CLP to ensure that C3 was available
amongst the members of the CLP and between the leadership of the CLP and
higher headquarters. Step 4: COA analysis. This step analyzes each of the COAs
developed in the previous step. The heart of COA analysis is the war gaming
process . . . . (Artillerization, n.d., Step 4: Course of Action Analysis section, В¶ 1).
During this step, staff members come up with possible scenarios that could take
place during the execution of the mission. The author s contribution to the war
gaming was what would happen if a piece of C3 equipment or capability were
rendered unusable due to either malfunction or enemy action. Step 5: COA
comparison. After war gaming all COAs, the staff now conducts COA comparison to
select the COA that best supports the mission and commander s intent (Artillerization,
n.d., Step 5: Course of Action Comparison section, В¶ 1). It is the responsibility of

The solids of revolution for this cone will look like the following images.
Thus, we return to the solid of revolutions formula
Volume = ∫_a^bв
–’гЂ–ПЂ (radius)^2 dx гЂ— a will equal 0 and b will equal 2.9.
The radius will be the aforementioned equation of the line. This again perfectly
matches the predicted volume that was calculated for the conical section of the

Thus, the total volume of the solids of revolution will match as well.

Since it matches, this further proves that the math is correct and effective.
Solids of Revolution for Orbiter
Sadly, similar to the others, I could not find sufficient data to create a detailed model
of the Orbiter, so all I can attempt is model another cylinder that has equal
dimensions.
So, using the formula again:
Volume = ∫_a^bв
–’гЂ–ПЂ (radius)^2 dx гЂ— a will equal 0 and b will equal
32.85, since that is the length of the space shuttle.
The radius will be 3.455 since the diameter is 6.91.
This forms the function y=3.455. The solids of revolutions would look like the
following images.
This final value matches the predicted volume for the

the samurai begun to teach the peasants how to fight and defend themselves, once

Kambei, kikuchiyo and kyuzo are three characters kurosawas gives specific bushido

Akira Kurosawa s the seven Samurai (1954), Kambei s character is created with
unique characteristics so he can excel as a leader, therefore being the main character
throughout the film. Kambei is given an early task of assembling a team of seven

the seemingly impossible task of locating six more samurai warriors to accompany

neither money nor fame. Want to join? (Kurosawa 33). The above quotation
illustrates how Kambei bluntly invites the samurai to join him while lacking any
real benefits to bargain besides a warm bed and rice. Kambei uses his shear
experience and character traits to lure the samurai into his group. Obvious to the
readers Kambei is a man of honor in everything he does. Between assembling each
samurai at the beginning, to winning the last battle against the bandits, Kambei
never forgets the bushido virtue of honor. Although it can be argued, Kambei does
follow each one of the Bushido virtues, but his honor is what sets him apart from
the rest. In Roger Ebert s (The Seven Samurai) film review he further backs up this
point as he describes kambeis character. He is a calm, wise leader and a good
strategian, and we follow the battles partly because he (and Kurosawa) map them out

The Epworth Bells
There was little cheer as the war entered its fourth year; living with war had
become the norm. There were some who found it difficult to recall a time before
war had broken out. Europe struggled beneath winter s iron grip; action on the
Western Front had slowed and the outlook on all fronts was bleak. The people of
the Isle shared the nation s sullen obstinacy; they had come to hate war, something
they had entered with a clarity of purpose but, to which, they saw no end. The
Epworth Bells commented that it was as though everyone was experiencing the same
bad dream. The paper began the year showing photographs of the Epworth men killed
in the past six months. It was conceived as a patriotic gesture, with overtures of
remembrance, but it did... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In an attempt to redress the balance, some of those applying sought legal advice to
support their case, and Mr. R. A. C. Symes found himself busy representing
applicants from across the Isle. Looking at the court records today it is hard to
separate the bogus claim for exemption from the genuine. Those in charge of
tribunals ended up relying on what domestic knowledge was available to help
them make a decision. A Lincolnshire chaplain, on leave from the front, went so far
as to question the veracity of rural tribunals because farmers did not realise what
the British Army was up against in France. He went on to argue that, if the supply
of food is a pressing necessity, the obvious answer is that the supply of older men
and women is by no means exhausted. I should like to add how refreshing it would
be if men who are called up would go without appealing. At present nearly
everybody seems to appeal, and even employ a solicitor for that purpose. It really
causes one to wonder whether the men who have fought and died for the most part
men who volunteered and were not fetched, and therefore the cream of our
population died to save inferior men from hurting

However it is hard to keep up with the sheer amount of chemically altered
substances which flood the market year upon year. There are many different forms
of stimulant which have been created to mimic the effects of illegal drugs such as
cocaine, cannabis and ecstasy (See appendix B). As they cannot be sold for human
consumption they are often sold as incense, bath salts or plant food to avoid
breaking the law and can be found online or in many high street shops
(Talktofrank.com, 2015). They are often produced in China and India and then
imported to be packaged and sold as legal highs (EMCDDA, 2015). The contents
of NPS can vary greatly and the person taking the substance can never be 100%
sure that what they are taking and the effects they could have. It is often found that
many NPS do in fact contain illegal substances and so being in possession of these

some of the biological effects of legal highs? Taking NPS can cause hypertension
(raised blood pressure) this puts the heart and blood vessels under strain and could
potentially lead to life threatening medical complications such as; heart attack, stroke
and kidney disease. There is an even greater risk of suffering these if you already
have pre existing conditions such as diabetes (Bloodpressureuk.org, 2015). Another

The Federalists Vs. Anti Federalists
The prestige that America has acquired is an accomplishment that has been sought
after and pursued for centuries. America s success is due to its foundation from the
U.S. constitution, allowing a national government both with and for the people. Our
current constitution was made possible by federalists like John Jay, Alexander
Hamilton, James Madison, and their supporters. Their contributions to the
constitution are vital to the success that the Nation has attained. Without a moderate
central government, America would not have its impeccable mixture of power,
security, and freedom. If the Anti Federalist had trumped the fight over the
developing government, the United Statesof America would not be as successful and
independent as it is today due to interlinked factors such as unity, security, and
economic success.
The Federalists vs. Anti Federalists Before the construction of the current
constitution, many citizens named the Anti Federalists shared concerns on the new
founded America turning into the situation in which they just broke free from. They
feared the power of the people being diminished by the central government, leaving
them without secured rights, and returning to the same instance experienced in
England. In their time these worries were still fresh and strongly feared, and
rightfully so. Anti Federalists wanted to have a weak central government with the
power lying within each state, primarily so each state could regulate its own taxes,
thus, preventing the
Functionalist Perspective On Financial Aid
Functionalist perspective is a theory of stratification that say that inequality is a
necessary part of society. It is based on a person s achieved status and is a
functional part of society. The Functionalist perspective would talk about Financial
Aids in a different way than the other sociological perspectives. The Functionalist
Perspective would say that it is functional for some people to receive more aid than
others. Financial Aid bases their amount of money given to a student based on the
income of their family. Financial Aid is a way for the college to make it fair for all
students coming to college and paying these hard prices. However, you could also
look at it as unfair. If your parents make too much money then you will not receive
aid. Also the smarter you are the more scholarship you get. Functionalist perspective

perform the more valuable, important jobs in society. Or if we look at it from
another perspective only those who are in financial need deserve the help. What
would be left of the University if they were to give out the same aid and scholarship
money to every student on campus? The University would no longer thrive. Another
way to view financial aid through a sociological perspective is by looking at
Conflict theory. Conflict Theory says that there is inequality because there is tension

relationship between the choreography and the dialogue shifts throughout the piece.
At certain times the dancers literally act out what is being spoken and use a lot of
pedestrian movement, while other times the movement is more abstract. Sometimes
the movement would interrupt the dialogue like when Dora disperses a group of
thugs that were after her father by telling them he s not here . Immediately after
those words are spoken the music dramatically shifts and the dancing turns slightly
chaotic. There were times where the transitions were sharp, and other times where
the dancing just flowed underneath the dialogue. A lot of the choreography
featured close movements and hand gestures that were simple yet made you feel
emotions. An example of this is when Jenna Riegel is speaking of the horrific
passing of Dora s sister due to a complicated abortion while I Ling Liu performs one
simple gesture that made tears well up within me. Bill T. Jones knew that a holocaust
survival story would not be something easy to take in, so he provides several light
hearted moments and comic
Safety Management Of A Manufacturing Company

Technology Safety Management in a Manufacturing Company In 1987, Motorola
presented the Six Sigma procedure. Their goal was to diminish procedure yield
variety so that six standard deviation lie between the mean and the closest detail limit.
As indicated by this procedure in a great deal of one million open doors, 3.4 defects
(per million) are permitted. As it were this is otherwise called defects per million
opportunities (DPMO). It is apparent from different method of distribute media that
as of now the majority of the businesses fabricates 2% to 3% mistakes in a
considerable measure of one million mechanical operations (Ateekh, 2012). Extensive
organizations, for instance Motorola, Samsung, Sony and Honeywell are utilizing six
sigma as a change apparatus. This is because of the accentuation on configuration and
acquiring so as to assemble to international standard a percentage of the best
technologies/change methods from driving organizations on the planet, together with
advancements created in its own offices. The review of hundred assembling
organizations by Thomas et al. (2008), highlights that the effective execution of six
sigma prompts more prominent opportunities for organizations to accomplish
monetary maintainability through consistent development and assembling
effectiveness. Then again, Peter et al.
1984 War Is Peace
1984 essay. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. This is the
slogan of the Ministry of Truth, a branch of the totalitarian government in post war
London. The figurehead of this government is Big Brother, who employs a vast
army of informers called the Thought Police who watch and listen to every citizen
at all times through a device called a telescreen for the least signs of criminal
deviation or unorthodox thoughts. This novel, like Orwell s earlier work Animal
Farm and Aldous Huxley s Brave New World, is an example of anti utopian fiction,
that kind of fiction which shows man at the mercy of some force over which he has
no control. Anti utopian novels are usually intended as a criticism of the time in which

The bewildering and anti human experience of a person living in a totalitarian
state is likely to bring about the kind of alienation apparent in 1984. Winston, the
most obvious example, is severely cut off from the outside world. Alone and
lonely, he feels alienated from his family, his neighbors, and the rest of society.
Even with Julia, Winston does not find someone who shares the same thoughts
and opinions that he does. He hates women and children. The Party s war against
love and sex for purposes other than reproduction has succeeded in cutting off
Winston from half of the human race. As a result of the Party s oppression,
Winston s psychological and sexual life has been crippled. Winston is able to
perform his duties for the Party without thought or question, but inwardly he
represses every contrary or unorthodox thought in the vain hope that he will not be
discovered by the Thought Police. Secretly he despises the mindless Party
members who are so intellectually and spiritually brainwashed that they can be
easily led and made to do anything. Winston s diary is his attempt to leave behind
some record of the evils of him, yet he is unable to write anything more than
rambling incoherence s, as he has alienated himself from his own feelings. Winston
does not actively or consciously estrange himself from the rest of society. Rather, his
alienation is a passive response to a world he cannot endure, and he effectively
The Discovery of Dominant and Recessive Genes by
Gregor...
Introduction: Genetics is the study of how genes and heredity combine to create
traits in living organisms. Gregor Mendel disproved the theory that heredity comes
only from parents. He discovered that there were dominant and recessive genes and
his Law of Dominance has been used to selectively breed plants and animals for
particular attributes. It has also been successfully adopted to identify the risk of
passing down genetic diseases. Francis Galton took Mendel s discoveries further by
studying multifactoral inheritance and discovering blending traits , also known as
continuous variation. With these traits, involvement of a wide range of genetic and
environmental factors results in the creation of wide ranging genotypes.

For a recessive phenotype, the individual must have two copies, one from each
parent, for example, blue eyes. A holder of one dominant and one recessive allelefor
a gene will have the dominant phenotype. They are generally considered carriers of
the recessive allele: the recessive allele is there, but the recessive phenotype is not.
Genetic crosses: Genetic crosses show how characteristics are inherited through the
generations. In a monohybrid cross each parent contributes two alleles, producing
four possible combinations for the one trait. A dihybrid cross involves two alleles
per trait for two traits, for a total of four alleles. Each allele of a particular trait has
an equal chance of being in a gamete with each of the alleles of the other trait.
Gene Mutations: A gene mutation is a permanent change in the DNA sequence that
makes up a gene. Mutations can vary in size from a single DNA building block
(Fig 2) to a large section of a chromosome. Gene mutations occur in two ways, either
they can be inherited from a parent or attained during a person s lifetime. Mutations
that are passed from parent to child are called hereditary mutations. This type of
mutation is present throughout a person s life in practically every cell in the body.
Mutations that take place only in an egg can cause genetic disorders when a family
has no history of the ailment. Environmental factors such as radiation (Fig 8) can
cause acquired mutations in the DNA
Social Criticism In A Christmas Carol By Charles Dickens
Who is the man behind the world renowned classic, A Christmas Carol. Charles
Dickens, born on February 7, 1812, spent the first nine years of his life living in
southeast England with his father John, who was kind and likable man, although
financially irresponsible. After moving to London, the twelve year old Dickens had
his father arrested and set to debtors prison where his mother moved seven of their
children, but arranged for Charles to live alone outside the prison. Charles spent
three traumatic years away from his parents, working with other child laborers at at a
bottle warehouse, which he considered himself too good for and stirred contempt
among his worker companions. After his father s release from prison, Dickens

Ebenezer Scrooge, a mean spirited, greedy old man, is visited by his old friend,
Jacob Marley. Marley warns Scrooge that if he doesn t change his greedy ways, he
will meet an unfortunate fate. Marley tells of three ghosts that will visit scrooge in
the next three nights: the ghost of christmas past, the ghost of christmas present, and
the ghost of christmas yet to come. The ghost of christmas past shows scrooge his
old christmas memories in his apprenticeship with the merchant Fezziwig, and his
engagement to Belle a woman who eventually leaves Scrooge because of his lust
for money which leaves scrooge moved and in tears of regret. The ghost of
christmas present takes scrooge through london to show the Cratchit family and
Tiny tim, a crippled boy, preparing a small dinner for christmas. Then they see his
nephew s bright, happy party, while as the day passes the spirit gets older and
eventually shows scrooge two starving children, ignorance and want, before
vanishing. The ghost of christmas yet to come show scrooge through various scenes
of people arguing over a dead man s riches, later revealing to scrooge that the dead
man is him, which makes scrooge beg to change his fate. The spirit sends Scrooge
back to his bed, with a newfound mindset that causes him to become more generous
and kind to those around him.
A Christmas Carol, like many other classics, contains a lot of literary devices. One of
the ones Dickens likes to use is symbolism.

Who Is Masakado A Villain
Japan in the 10th century was experiencing change and disorder as its relatively
new central government sought techniques for a strong and enduring legacy. In
this period lived a man named Taira no Masakado. In events which are swirled with
mystery and legend, Masakado found himself in direct opposition with the
government, even proclaiming the title of the New Emperor . His legacy endures
to this day and is a fundamental component in contemporary Japanese folklore. Was
Masakado a product of his environment or a self motivated rebel, examining this
question is important in the discussions of the motivations behind his actions.
Whether he should be viewed as a villain or a hero is to be considered by the reader.

Having just been found innocent in Kyoto for his attacks in Hitachi, would it not
make sense for Masakado to bring accusations against Yokishane? Masakado does
not seek government help in deterring Yokishane, this suggests that he knew he
was in the wrong and was hesitant to return to Kyoto, mainly because he felt as if
he got lucky at his previous hearing. Skipping to Masakado s confrontation with
Sadamori in Hitachi, as Masakado wins the battle, storming the provincial capital
grounds in the process, one gets a sense of the sudden panic defining his
proceeding actions. Masakado immediately flees home to Shimosa. Once home, in
an utterly confusing turn of events, Masakado heads out again, this time to
conquer a handful of other eastern provinces. Instead of formerly addressing the
rulers in Kyoto as the new emperor of the east or even as an adversary, Masakado
writes a letter in an attempt to explain his actions and how they are justified. Using
his imperial family ties, he tries to undermine the stories of his actions as
propaganda from his opposers and claim that he remains loyal to the government.
This is the act of a desperate man; a man who, maybe, has realized that he has made
a grave mistake. Masakado wanted to believe that his conquests were justified, yet
based on his actions it is apparent that he was not and knew it. Not having a strong
cause and knowing he made a
Civil Disobedience And Civil Rights
Would you fight for what you believe in no matter the denouement? Would you go
against the odds, disobey society and the law to improve the lives of others? In the
words of Oscar Wilde, disobedience is a valuable human trait that leads to social
progress. Disobedience results in freedom, equality, and civil rights. To live your
life without freedom is to live your life without sunlight. Before 1776, colonists
from England were in a chaotic situation they were irritated of being controlled by
King George III, they were irritated of his tyrannical ways. King George III, King of
England, taxed colonists on items they commonly used some included: ink, paper,
tea, and stamps. The king s unfair treatment of the colonists resulted in a rebellion...

Today many of us can t because we are fortunate enough to be alive in a time and
place where racism isn t banal. Rosa parks, a civil rights activist, refused to give up
her seat on a Montgomery public bus to a white passenger in 1955. At the time this
was illegal, African Americans were forced to follow bus segregation rules, and
they had to give up their seats to whites if they were in the front of the bus and had
to resort to the back. When Parks disobeyed the law she stood for all the rights of
blacks, she stood up for inequality, she stood up against racism. African Americans
along with other minorities faced discrimination, such as being harassed, publicly
humiliated, and being denied the same rights as other people just because they had
a darker skin color. Rosa parks along with many other civil rights activists fought
for the future of African American s, their ultimate goal was to eliminate the
segregation of blacks and whites. Today no matter what race or what color your
skin is you have the same rights as anyone else. Maybe you would have been lucky
enough to have been treated fairly back then but remember not everyone was,
remember the hatred, remember the need for hope, and remember the fight civil
rights activists fought. Rosa Parks was a symbol of hope for many in the African
American community. Think about it would people have the courage to stand up for
what they believe in if it weren t for
Millionaire Mindset Essay
The millionaire mindset is a powerful thing. It has helped launch careers, multi
national corporations, and big dreams and ambitions. The cool thing about it is
that it s not exclusively for current millionaires. Regular people like me and you
can also harness the power of the millionaire mindset! If you ve been exposed to
poverty all your life, adopting this kind of mindset might be more of a challenge for
you. But that s only because your mind might be more reluctant to think big than for
any other reason. However, with the right attitude, anyone can take on a millionaire
mindset! Read this article and find out just what it is and how it can help you. Tip #

Most millionaires ended up being where they are right now because they took a
leap of faith and followed their hunch. Tip # 5: It s always been you. The
millionaire mindset is more internal than external. So all along, it s always been
you. You ve always been the one responsible for your life. And unless you yourself
believe in your own prowess, you ll never really make it all the way to your goal.
Don t listen to the voices around you saying that you can t do it or that you ll never
achieve what you want to achieve. And don t let external factors get in the way of
you doing your own thing as well! Tip # 6: Focus on the positive. The millionaire
mindset pushes you to think positive. There s no room for self doubt or negative
thoughts on this bus! When the monthly electricity bill arrives, for example, don t
think about how high your bill has gotten and how much you have to shell out this
month. Instead, think about how money simply makes its rounds around town and
how it will soon find its way back into your hands again. As you hand over your
payment to the collector, think about how soon you ll see that same amount back in
your wallet again! Tip # 7: Be happy. Life is too short to spend the rest of it as a sour
puss. Take a page from the millionaire s handbook and allow yourself to feel
happiness. Being happy opens you up to a lot of opportunities and new experiences
and keeps you going in life. Tip # 8: Be
Western Civilization
Through out the history of Western Civilization we have seen many important
moments occur. From the Neolithic revolution, to humans conquering and spreading
across the globe, there are many moments that have shaped its history and the present
day. In this essay I will mention 5 of the most important moments/changes in Western
Civilization and the reasons for why they are so important to societies in the western
worldand beyond.
My first mention is the Neolithic Revolution. Prior to the Neolithic Revolution,
humans lived in an age called the Paleolithic Age. In this time, humans were
nomadic hunter and gatherers. They did not make permeant settlements and lived
on the go, following animal migrations and vegetation cycles. It wasn t until after
the end of the last ice age around 10,000 B.C. when humans changed from hunter
and gatherer nomads to learning how to grow their own crops and settling down
into locations and settlements with other peoples. This was a big change for
humans moving forward. Humans could now participate in trade with others and
instead of being on the go all the time, they now had a chance to settle down and
build shelter and participate in things that they couldn t prior. This change in human
ways also gave rise to what is patriarchy. As the book says, Men assumed the
responsibility for working in the fields and herding animals, jobs that kept them away
from the home while the women took on the roles of caring for the children, weaving
cloth, and
Short Story The Thing In The Forest
In the short story The Thing in the Forest by A.S Byatt, the author introduces the
thing as dark, ominous and has a very putrid smell that is almost like a representation
of death. The thing in the forest lurks and wanders around the forest next to a house
filled with children that have been sent there because they have been evacuated from
their town. I believe that the thingrepresents or would symbolize many things, and
also considering the time frame the story was written in pre world war era I would
say that the story probably represent the deathor the decay of the men that fought in
the war. Also I believe that the thing symbolizes something literal like an injured
soldierthat tried to get the attention of the girls that wandered the forest. Lastly, In
parts of the story I gives you some indication of the thing and it makes the thing
sound like it might be any army closing in on a country or city cause the thing came
in waves . So the thing might be a wave of scary putrid smelling soldiers that sound
and looks like death.
So, I would believe that the thing in the forest has many interpretations on the
symbolic point of view. First, I believe that the Thing that lurks in the forest just
simply represents the sight and smell of the dying soldiers of the war. I have reason
to believe that it might symbolize dead soldiers because in the story Penny first
heard the thing that was in the forest and list what she hears and sees and even
smells. She says she
Exploring Different Career Options With Wells Fargo

I decided to explore different career options with Wells Fargo other than
management roles. The move to Colorado needed to happen by the end of April and
because of the time constraints transferring into a management role was an unrealistic
goal. I started networking and followed the capstone project guidelines. In the class
lecture for week 8 the University Of Buffalo School Of Managementprovides
suggestions for questions to ask during an exploratory interview, Setting up
appointments with all the friends, professional acquaintances and corporate bigwigs
you can is just the first step. More important is knowing what to say once you arrive.
Since wasting contacts time is unacceptable, you should prepare an agenda before
each meeting. Decide what you would like to find out from your contact, and then
prepare questions to elicit that information (40 Questions to Ask, 2015, para. 1).
After reaching out to former co workers I was able to get two hiring managers
contact information. One was for the mortgage department and the other overlapped
with retail banking where I could step down from my current role. From that point
forward I knew I needed to make an important decision and decide what part of the
bank I wanted to transfer too. I took the initiative by reaching out to the Sales
Manager in Mortgage. In the Journal of Applied Psychology, Interviewers may
behave in a manner confirming first impressions, such that post interview decisions

How Did Egypt Wear Makeup
In Ancient Egypt both men and women wore makeup. Statues of Gods and
Goddesses wore cosmetics, and those of a higher caste wore more makeup than those
of a lower caste. There were different kinds of makeup, some examples are, eye
makeup, rouge and perfume oils, and nail polish and hair color. There are different
reasons for each piece of makeup, and each had its own purpose. They did not have
makeup just for the look. Eye makeup was usually elaborate and made an almond eye

The History Behind Torture and Why It Should Not Be Utilized
When a teenager is accused of stealing a necklace from a store, the initial reaction
is to ask whether he or she has stolen the item. In response, the teen s answer could
vary, from hesitation to a simple yes or no to a drawn out excuse. This is a minor
case of interrogation, where the suspected person is questioned for information. In a
more extreme situation, the government uses this method, called torture, on people
suspected of committing a crime. The only difference here is that the suspect is not
necessarily interrogated about jewelry; instead, the person could be asked about vital
information that is crucial to a current operation, concerning the lives of innocent
people or soldiers fighting for a cause. Because torture usually involves physical and
psychological pain, it should not be exercised.
Since the beginning of ancient times, torture has been utilized for gaining
information from persons of interest. It refers to the use of various techniques
designed to inflict extreme physical pain, psychological distress, or both (Torture and
Interrogation). Its goal is to strike fear, punish for crimes, or collect significant
information. In the past, torture during war spurred the Geneva Conventions, a
sequence of treaties that established global laws, prohibiting the act of torture on
prisoners of war. Even though these laws forbid the use of torture, some countries still
reserve the right to use torture in

  • 2. Relationship Between Honey And Bees The relationship between flowers and bees is that they both benefit each other. The benefit that the Bee has of the flower is the Bee pollinate it, which they don t do on purpose, but has they go from flower to flower pollen falls on the flower on their way back to the bees hive. The flower benefits the Bee because the flower produces pollen which the Bee uses as food. Pollen and honey are the only food bees eat. The relationship between the bees and flowers evolved through coВevolution when a Bee accidentally landed on a flower and found sugar and since then bees have been relying on the flowers for food and the flower has been relying on the Bee to pollinate it. They have no harmful effects on each other, they help each other a lot and they
  • 3. Photographer Techniques A good photographer knows how to use some little tricks to create a pretty scene, and the good photographer knows how to use small techniques to build the mood for the photo. Pretty scene and mood of the photo together create the meaning for the photo, and they allure people to step into the photo. Some of the techniques that used to make a photo looks pretty is the lighting of the photo, and the angle of that photo. And some tricks that are used to create a photo are models, sand, fake fog, etc. Photographer just needs a little bit of tricks to create a deep meaning of the photo. The first photo shows a mysterious wardrobe that stands in the middle of some nowhere desert. The wardrobe is surrounded by cloudand fog. The sky is not clear, and it does not present the sky bluecolor. Instead, the sky is cloudy and gloomy. It seems like some important but mysterious event is in prepare to happen. Second photo shows a man is building a model of a small wardrobe on top of a stone. The man wears a pair of glasses is carefully bends in front of the model. His brow furrows and his lip tightly together all show that he is afraid any additional actions might mess up the model. The man holds a white cup with fake fog on it. He carefully uses his right hand to spill the fog around the wardrobe, and he uses his left hand to hold on to the stone and adjust the wardrobe. Third photo shows a camera in front of the model. Model is put on a table in the beach, and it is put under the cloudy but not gloomy sky. The camera stands so close to the wardrobe because the wardrobe is small. Then the photo is taken, and the first photo appears. Photographer then change the background color of the first photo to make it seems gloomy and

  • 5. Grizzly Bear Lake Logos Some strategies that Garrett Hardin uses throughout his text are Pathos and Logos. He uses these devices in order to appeal to the audience and to make his text sound more credible. A example of logos is, As of 1973, the U.S. had a population of 210 million people, who were increasing by 0.8 percent per year. Outside our lifeboat, let us imagine another 210 million people (say the combined populations of Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Morocco, Pakistan, Thailand and the Philippines) who are increasing at a rate of 3.3 percent per year. Put differently, the doubling time for this aggregate populationis 21 years, compared to 87 years for the U.S. In this section he establishes logos by using logic to help support his argument. He also uses... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His way of learning would be doing chores you could say and doing other activities that helped him learn about the world. He knows that his son is not the only one that struggles from this problem. This is why he gave facts about some certain things that are meant especially for those students, materials they can use to help them learn. Throughout the text Medicine Grizzly Bear Lake was very formal and respectful. This is a key step in insuring to get the teacher s attention and try to persuade her. In the following paragraphs I will explain how his son learned, and also how Medicine Grizzly Bear Lake could improve his argument. Medicine Grizzly Bear Lake s son is named Wind Wolf. His teacher would call him wind thinking wolf was a middle name. He insisted that she would call ind wolf because it was his full name. Wind Wolf was raised by an indian family this is one of the reasons why he was taught differently. By doing so he is not used to and does not fully understand the way that people teach him in a public school. He grew up learning differently, so that does not mean that he is wrong when he answers a question, since he learned differently it could have been right. For example, in the text there is an example of this type of situation. If you ask him how many months there are in a year, he will probably tell you thirteen. He will respond this way not because he doesn t know how to count properly, but because he has been

  • 7. My First Vacation Trip Over the summer, my family and I flew to Europe. Here is my crazy misadventure... Two days after school ended, we packed our bags and left for the airport. I was super excited to start this trip! We got on the plane, and our flight was 9 hours long (We also flew British Airways). That means I watched a lot of movies during the flight. When we arrived in London for our layover, the pilot said that we might be on the runway for a while. So 30 minutes later, he sent buses to come pick us up and take us to the terminal. Once we arrived at the terminal, the airport was packed. I had no idea what was happening, and neither did my family. We sat down somewhere in the airport clueless on what to do. We asked everybody what was happening and they either said, they can t tell us or they don t know. So my dad and I went downstairs to stand in a line that we thought would help us. One hour later, me and my dad got to the front of the line and we got no information. We went back upstairs to meet my mom and sister. Then we all thought, we might never see our checked bags again. At this point we didn t know what to do. Later we found out there was a line to get out of the airport so we got in that line and stood in the line for 3 hours. Once we got to the front of the line, they took us down an elevator to go through British customs. We stood in that line for 4 hours. Once we got past customs, we went to baggage claim where we didn t find our bags, so we talked to a lot of people trying to
  • 8. The Consequences Of The Truman Doctrine The foreign policy of the United States can be defined as a labyrinth a set of complex intricacies which either lack comprehension or are characterized by meticulous thought. Established during a period of ideological warfare and domestic hysteria, it is evident the Truman Doctrine was conceived with a disregard for the future stability of American international affairs. Engulfed within a period marked by massive power struggles and distorted accusations, the Truman Doctrine may appear minimal in regard to alterations of the United States international attitude. However, the Doctrine acted as a catalyst for the shift in America s foreign policy objectives and vision. It is clear the Truman Doctrine produced detrimental consequences in regard to the international policy of the United States, stability of foreign countries, and continuing repercussions in the modern day. Following the Allies victory in World War II, and preceding the historical period of the Red Scare, relations between the Soviet Union and the United States were relatively neutral (in spite of the drastically different ideological viewpoints). Contrary to popular belief the Doctrine was originally constructed to quell communist uprisings, it is clear the intention was to establish stability within European nations vital to the economic interests of the United States (Gaddis 11). As domestic tidings began to alter as a result of the Red Scare, the Doctrine would become a stigma for ideological conflict
  • 9. The Epilogue Analysis The most pressing issue involving communication, gender, and culture would be acceptance. Individuals need to take into consideration that even though they want many aspects to remain the same, things are bound to change. After reading the Epilogue and the textbook, I realize that we need to be willing to accept what families decide is the best choice for the work load among both parents. Growing up with both my parents working outside the house helped me appreciate both members and what they were able to contribute to the family. This also helps me realize that even though one family member may decide to stay home, that does not make them any less important to the family overall. A statement that Julia Wood made in the Epilogue stood out to me. She says that As women and men, you can affect what society expects of and admires in each sex (Wood, 321). This showed me that we have the ability to impact the gender roles society holds. It is important to not judge a father ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are many things in society that people find offensive. As the next decade comes into view, there needs to be emphasis placed on grasping the differences in each individual person which would help us realize that not everyone reacts to things the same. Wood continues to talk in the Epilogue about our generation taking the time to recognize that not everyone is the same in the world. She says Maybe your generation will replace the melting pot metaphor with one that recognizes commonality without obliterating real and valuable differences among people (Wood, 322). I think that she makes a great point here. We have been raised to understand that there is a melting pot in our society. This idea may need to change in order to better suite what each person needs. It is important to recognize that we are not robots in society today. Each and every one of us wants to feel accepted for who we are as unique
  • 10. The Oklahoma Outrage And The Tulsa Outrage All throughout the history of Tulsa, Oklahoma there has been many racially charged tragedies that have happened. Many people believe that the so called Brady Street, which was named after the founding father of Tulsa, Wyatt Tate Brady, should be changed due to his membership with the Ku Klux Klan. In 2013, business owners in Tulsawanted and are still, in 2017, wanting to change the Brady street named after W.T. Brady and name it Brady street after the Civil War photographer. I believe that it should not be changed just because of the story behind Wyatt Tate Brady and how much he truly was involved with The Tulsa Outrage and The Race Riot and what The Brady District is today. One of the most horrific events that happened in 1917 was the Tulsa Outrage. The Tulsa Outrage was most known for when seventeen men were murdered. One late November night a group of about fifty men dressed in all black known as the Wobblies approached seventeen men. The seventeen men were then pulled from the lineup, tied to a tree, a Knight approached every man with a double piece of hemp rope and whipped the victim s back until blood draped their backs. Another man stepped forward and slathered boiling tar on the victim s backs with a paint brush, coating him from head to seat. The final act of humiliation, the Knight then padded the victim s back with feathers from a down pillow (Chapman 2). According to multiple interviews conducted by National Civil Liberties Bureau Investigator L.A.
  • 11. Michael Patton s Utilization-Focus Evaluation H. Stanley Judd once quoted, A good plan is like a road map: it shows the destination and usually the best way to get there. Since evaluation is judge on the uses of its findings it is important to know where to start and where to end. The goal is to help the readers understand how evaluation is judge, how to utilize the findings and the lasting impact on those who were part of the evaluation. Summary: My essay looks at Part 1 of Utilization focus Evaluation , through the eyes of author Michael Patton, who believed that Evaluation is done for and with specific intended primary users for specific, intended uses (2009, p.36). It presumes that evaluations are judged by their utility and use. Evaluators should carefully consider how everything affects the use. The term use is defined by how people apply findings and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Patton supported his claim with adequate evidence throughout the reading. The author strongly suggests that evaluation should never be done independently, but primary intended users should be allowed to sit at the table to help make decisions that would influence the intended use. One example was the welfare to work program exercise where internal evaluators met to discuss the finding of their evaluation. It is clear that no primary intended users were identified and little thoughts if any were given to how the evaluation results would be used. For Patton, the number one priority to good evaluation starts with primary intended users who input can help guide the evaluation from the start to the finish. In contrast, Brandon W. Youker, author of Goal Free Evaluation: A potential Model for the Evaluation of Social Work Programs believed in a goal free evaluation, whereby evaluators should make observations, and measure any outcomes intended or unintended without any knowledge, goals or even
  • 12. The Importance Of Community Service community service they oblige to do, Few of our programs seem to care about the relationship between service and the classroom. Until then, the relevance is null it becomes another assignment, compulsory and at risk of being completed half heartedly. as JA Alonzo and Walter Payton argued in the debate. More doubt focused on the sincerity of the participants, especially when it comes to mandatory service , people suspect if students will keep their genuineness and passion of committing when volunteering becomes mandatory. On the other side, Requiring community service or granting credit for it does not cheapen it, nor does it lessen the effect of it, another student wrote in a counterpoint editorial. It gives students who might not have otherwise done so the chance to understand the most important lesson they can learn: that they have power to bettertheir world. (Sparks, 2013) As for China, people started to become familiar with the concept of Voluntary service after its first being introduced into China in 1990s, and it concentrates mainly in the fields of social charity, urgent aids, knowledge popularization and public welfare. (Luckystar, 2012) As an important element of social service (one of the three functions of institutions of higher education in China), it s a fundamental form of college students donation with their manual and mental energy to give back to the world and fulfill their self value. Up to now, social service combining voluntary service
  • 13. Nonprofit Vs. Non-Profit Organization All organizations big or small, for profit or non profit have a structure in which dictates how they function. The evolution of communication with emails, video conferencing, instant messaging, text messages and social media sites has forever changed how organizations communication is structured. In a global work environment, organizations are now utilizing people with different perceptions, backgrounds and work attitudes (Himmer, 2013). Organizational structureguides coordination and allocation of tasks leading to the organization s goal. An organization structure can specifically control and instruct how employees behave and what values are accepted by an organization. In a globalized economy, many organizations redesign their structures to cater towards the ever changing work environments. Reshaping an organization structure may mean employee s roles and responsibilities to align with cultural changes, in efforts to become more efficient and productive. It was steep and so much higher than the river it surrounded. As a child, I never stopped to wonder why the land was so much higher than the water. Looking back now, it seems very simple. The water shaped the land. Although I experienced this on a very small level, we see it on an enormous scale every day. Throughout Michigan and even throughout the entire world, water has created the land shapes that we are used to. Without water, we would not have the unique land structures that exist today. I was born and raised right here in the beautiful state of Michigan. Michigan is a unique place because it is two separate peninsulas connected by a bridge and separated by the Mackinac Straits. In short, us Michigan natives have grown up surrounded by water. Michigan has about 58,000 sq. miles of land and 38,000 miles of water. The majority of the water that makes up Michigan is formed from the Great Lakes: No point in Michigan is more than 6 miles away from one of the Great Lakes. It is clear that water is a big part of the composition of this state. Since water is such a big part of Michigan, I find myself very curious about what it is and what it does. The first thing you need to know when you are researching water history is the water cycle. The water cycle is an infinite circle in which water evaporates, is carried

The margin in this instance would be $1,000, with margin based leverage equalling 100:1 (100,000/1,000). Many don t equate margin based leverage to being legitimate leverage, as it doesn t affect a trader s risk exposure, as a trader s margin requirement might not influence his or her profits or losses. Reason being that a trader can choose to allocate more than the required margin for any active position. Real Leverage In order to understand the real degree of leverage within any position you are undertaking, you must divide the total value of your positions by your trading capital. For example, should you have $10,000 in your account and you choose to open a $100,000 position, by default you are trading with 10x leverage. Now, should you trade two standard lots ($200,000) instead of a single standard lot ($100,000), you will then be trading at 20x leverage. You can probably start to figure out how this works from a real leverage perspective using these examples, with the leverage offered being related to the level of margin and the discretion of the broker. Understanding associated levels of risk As you can plainly see, by making use of leverage you can magnify not only your profits, but should things take a turn for the worse, your losses as well. Think about it this way, the greater the level of leverage you use, the greater the level of risk you take on. What this means is that leverage can
  • 17. Modern Myths Redefined Research Paper Myth Redefined for the Modern Age Myth has been defined and manipulated throughout its usage in order to fit the desired criteria for explaining a multitude of phenomena. The usage of the word myth has steadily increased in the English language, applying to an increasing number of circumstances. Today, there exist programs such as MythBusters, where a group of hosts test classic wives tales and conundrums, while classifying them as myth. Quite obviously, these common misconceptions and questions do not fit the format and definition of a myth as it has been derived from the Greek mythos. Myth has come to be defined as a misconception, a distilled version of the term s former significance. It must now be proposed that myth shall be redefined in order to provide a balance between the ancient and modern meanings. Myth in the context of modern culture needs to be redefined, shedding the connotation of connection to the divine, embracing the possibility of fewer qualifications, and allowing current cultural situations to adopt the definition of a myth without blemishing the significance of the term s history.... However, there do exist modern myths that still maintain a connotation of the supernatural, along with a difficult moral lesson. The issue with the definition then, becomes the formal background of a traditional story, as well as the characters within the story, as many modern myths lack such a structured background. Many myths are not capable of fulfilling all of the characteristics of the archaic definition, and

As a matter of fact, I m preparing for a tough war. It will bring us neither money nor fame. Want to join? (Kurosawa 33). The above quotation illustrates how Kambei bluntly invites the samurai to join him while lacking any real benefits to bargain besides a warm bed and rice. Kambei uses his shear experience and character traits to lure the samurai into his group. Obvious to the readers Kambei is a man of honor in everything he does. Between assembling each samurai at the beginning, to winning the last battle against the bandits, Kambei never forgets the bushido virtue of honor. Although it can be argued, Kambei does follow each one of the Bushido virtues, but his honor is what sets him apart from the rest. In Roger Ebert s (The Seven Samurai) film review he further backs up this point as he describes kambeis character. He is a calm, wise leader and a good strategian, and we follow the battles partly because he (and Kurosawa) map them out for us, walk us through the village s

There were some who found it difficult to recall a time before war had broken out. Europe struggled beneath winter s iron grip; action on the Western Front had slowed and the outlook on all fronts was bleak. The people of the Isle shared the nation s sullen obstinacy; they had come to hate war, something they had entered with a clarity of purpose but, to which, they saw no end. The Epworth Bells commented that it was as though everyone was experiencing the same bad dream. The paper began the year showing photographs of the Epworth men killed in the past six months. In an attempt to redress the balance, some of those applying sought legal advice to support their case, and Mr. R. A. C. Symes found himself busy representing applicants from across the Isle. Looking at the court records today it is hard to separate the bogus claim for exemption from the genuine. Those in charge of tribunals ended up relying on what domestic knowledge was available to help them make a decision. A Lincolnshire chaplain, on leave from the front, went so far as to question the veracity of rural tribunals because farmers did not realise what the British Army was up against in France. He went on to argue that, if the supply of food is a pressing necessity, the obvious answer is that the supply of older men and women is by no means exhausted. I should like to add how refreshing it would be if men who are called up would go without appealing. At present nearly everybody seems to appeal, and even employ a solicitor for that purpose. It really causes one to wonder whether the men who have fought and died for the most part men who volunteered and were not fetched, and therefore the cream of our population died to save inferior men from hurting

America s success is due to its foundation from the U.S. constitution, allowing a national government both with and for the people. Our current constitution was made possible by federalists like John Jay, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and their supporters. Their contributions to the constitution are vital to the success that the Nation has attained. Without a moderate central government, America would not have its impeccable mixture of power, security, and freedom. If the Anti Federalist had trumped the fight over the developing government, the United Statesof America would not be as successful and independent as it is today due to interlinked factors such as unity, security, and economic success. The Federalists vs. Anti Federalists Before the construction of the current constitution, many citizens named the Anti Federalists shared concerns on the new founded America turning into the situation in which they just broke free from. They feared the power of the people being diminished by the central government, leaving them without secured rights, and returning to the same instance experienced in England. In their time these worries were still fresh and strongly feared, and rightfully so. Anti Federalists wanted to have a weak central government with the power lying within each state, primarily so each state could regulate its own taxes, thus, preventing the

The Functionalist Perspective would say that it is functional for some people to receive more aid than others. When there was stillness I felt that it amplified the dialogue being spoken and it created a sense that what was coming next was going to be important. The relationship between the choreography and the dialogue shifts throughout the piece. At certain times the dancers literally act out what is being spoken and use a lot of pedestrian movement, while other times the movement is more abstract. Sometimes the movement would interrupt the dialogue like when Dora disperses a group of thugs that were after her father by telling them he s not here . Immediately after those words are spoken the music dramatically shifts and the dancing turns slightly chaotic. There were times where the transitions were sharp, and other times where the dancing just flowed underneath the dialogue. A lot of the choreography featured close movements and hand gestures that were simple yet made you feel emotions. An example of this is when Jenna Riegel is speaking of the horrific passing of Dora s sister due to a complicated abortion while I Ling Liu performs one simple gesture that made tears well up within me. Even with Julia, Winston does not find someone who shares the same thoughts and opinions that he does. He hates women and children. Gregor Mendel disproved the theory that heredity comes only from parents. He discovered that there were dominant and recessive genes and his Law of Dominance has been used to selectively breed plants and animals for particular attributes. It has also been successfully adopted to identify the risk of passing down genetic diseases. Francis Galton took Mendel s discoveries further by studying multifactoral inheritance and discovering blending traits , also known as continuous variation. With these traits, involvement of a wide range of genetic and environmental factors results in the creation of wide ranging genotypes. Inheritance: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For a recessive phenotype, the individual must have two copies, one from each parent, for example, blue eyes. A holder of one dominant and one recessive allelefor a gene will have the dominant phenotype. They are generally considered carriers of the recessive allele: the recessive allele is there, but the recessive phenotype is not. Genetic crosses: Genetic crosses show how characteristics are inherited through the generations. In a monohybrid cross each parent contributes two alleles, producing four possible combinations for the one trait. A dihybrid cross involves two alleles per trait for two traits, for a total of four alleles. Each allele of a particular trait has an equal chance of being in a gamete with each of the alleles of the other trait. Gene Mutations: A gene mutation is a permanent change in the DNA sequence that makes up a gene. Mutations can vary in size from a single DNA building block (Fig 2) to a large section of a chromosome. Gene mutations occur in two ways, either they can be inherited from a parent or attained during a person s lifetime. Mutations that are passed from parent to child are called hereditary mutations. This type of mutation is present throughout a person s life in practically every cell in the body. Mutations that take place only in an egg can cause genetic disorders when a family has no history of the ailment. Environmental factors such as radiation (Fig 8) can cause acquired mutations in the DNA

From the Neolithic revolution, to humans conquering and spreading across the globe, there are many moments that have shaped its history and the present day. In this essay I will mention 5 of the most important moments/changes in Western Civilization and the reasons for why they are so important to societies in the western worldand beyond. My first mention is the Neolithic Revolution. Prior to the Neolithic Revolution, humans lived in an age called the Paleolithic Age. In this time, humans were nomadic hunter and gatherers. They did not make permeant settlements and lived on the go, following animal migrations and vegetation cycles. It wasn t until after the end of the last ice age around 10,000 B.C. when humans changed from hunter and gatherer nomads to learning how to grow their own crops and settling down into locations and settlements with other peoples. This was a big change for humans moving forward. Humans could now participate in trade with others and instead of being on the go all the time, they now had a chance to settle down and build shelter and participate in things that they couldn t prior. This change in human ways also gave rise to what is patriarchy. As the book says, Men assumed the responsibility for working in the fields and herding animals, jobs that kept them away from the home while the women took on the roles of caring for the children, weaving cloth, and

Short Story The Thing In The Forest In the short story The Thing in the Forest by A.S Byatt, the author introduces the thing as dark, ominous and has a very putrid smell that is almost like a representation of death. The thing in the forest lurks and wanders around the forest next to a house filled with children that have been sent there because they have been evacuated from their town. I believe that the thingrepresents or would symbolize many things, and also considering the time frame the story was written in pre world war era I would say that the story probably represent the deathor the decay of the men that fought in the war. Also I believe that the thing symbolizes something literal like an injured soldierthat tried to get the attention of the girls that wandered the forest. Lastly, In parts of the story I gives you some indication of the thing and it makes the thing sound like it might be any army closing in on a country or city cause the thing came in waves . So the thing might be a wave of scary putrid smelling soldiers that sound and looks like death. So, I would believe that the thing in the forest has many interpretations on the symbolic point of view. First, I believe that the Thing that lurks in the forest just simply represents the sight and smell of the dying soldiers of the war. I have reason to believe that it might symbolize dead soldiers because in the story Penny first heard the thing that was in the forest and list what she hears and sees and even smells. She says she
