Persuasive Essay On The Fifth Amendment
As we sit and watch some of your favorite television shows, Blue Bloods, Criminal Minds, and The
Blacklist, we can catch the prominent phrases, right to remain silent... and/or I plead the fifth in one
or two scenes leading to interrogation. Although the television shows are fiction, the statements are
factual and are part of the U.S. Constitution to protect a person against self incrimination. Self
incrimination plays a vast part of the Bill of Right, specifically the Fifth Amendment. The Fifth
Amendment has protected many Americans from punishment. Yet, this Amendment also has made
it possible for guilty verdicts in criminal cases. This was possible with the historical adoption of the
Fifth Amendment, the implementation of the five different clauses, and numerous criminal cases
that established the strength of the Fifth Amendment.
The philosophies behind the Fifth Amendment traced back to Magna Carta, 1215. The Magna Carta
specified that No person shall ... be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due processof law
... . Although England s King John did not agree to the term willingly, the Magna Carta was
signed in hope to build a relationship between the King and the nobles and keep the peace.
Unfortunately, the signed Magna Carta annulled by Pope Innocent II. In 1613, Sir Edward Coke
also advocated for the Magna Carta as part of his approach toward the power struggle of the courts.
Coke argued that all matters needed to be addressed through the law of the

How Did Huxley Change In Brave New World
A New World Technological progress has merely provided us with more efficient means for going
backwards ( Aldous Huxley Quotes ). Aldous L. Huxley, author of Brave New World, is one the
most influential writers in history, writing timeless works that still boggle minds almost a century
later. Huxley didn t just become an unparalleled writer overnight, but it is his life that shapes his
works. While Huxley s Keratitis Punctuate, sudden death in the family and strong influences in
science and evolution changed his life greatly, it is the influence on his writing that has left a
lasting mark forever. When Aldous Huxleycontracted Keratitis Punctate in 1911, the course of his
life was changed forever. Since Keratitis punctate is a virus,... Show more content on

Aldous Huxley was born into a family of acclaimed scientists. His grandfather was Thomas
Henry Huxley who is the most famous, controversial naturalist of his time, and with two
brothers becoming eminent biologists, his family was no short of brilliance in the scientific
field. Huxley himself was on the path to become a scientist until he contracted Keratitis Punctate
and couldn t properly conduct his experiments ( Aldous Huxley Biography ). While his later
writings may have not been as dry as a lab report, remnants of his scientific endeavors and
influences are woven throughout. For example, Huxley writes, preserving the excised ovary
alive and actively developing; passed on to a consideration of optimum temperature, salinity,
viscosity (A. Huxley 5). His scientific knowledge that is woven into Brave New World creates a
general image of the future, but in certain areas, such as the passage above, Aldous Huxley uses
his scientific knowledge to create a dry diction that gives off a sense of fear and disgust in the
rapid advancement of technology. Huxley s diction of towering scientific terms brings many
aspects of this society to life, such as when Huxley talks about genetic engineering and

To His Coy Mistress Rhyme Scheme
In Andrew Marvell s poem, To His Coy Mistress , the speaker argues that if he and the woman he
is addressing had an infinite amount of time together, there would be no rush to be together.
However, since they are not immortal and only human, they cannot be together forever and only
have what is offered to them: the present moment. The speaker tries to convince the woman to
seize the day and to indulge in the physical aspect of their relationship before marriage. Marvell s
argument is that instead of categorizing our lives based on and fretting about what should be done
in the present versus what should be done in the future, people should cherish every moment as it
comes. In order to convey this theme, Marvell utilizes a nonuniform scheme... Show more content

By using this irregularity and not using a rigid pattern throughout the poem, Marvell cleverly
throws the reader off to the uneven distribution of syllables in order and their attention is given to
the substance of those lines. For instance, there are pauses within the first two lines that separates,
and thereby throws off, the tetrameter. The third line (twelve syllables) contains no pauses and
continues into the fourth line (eight syllables), reason being that this rhythm contrasts the rhythm
of the couplet, where the two lines possess ten syllables

The Duck Jumps Out Of The Pond Essay
11)Sergei Prokofiev was the composer for Peter and the Wolf, Op. 67: The Duck Jumps Out of the
Pond. The Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra preformed this composition with Ondrej Lenard as
their conductor.
00:00 The tempo at the beginning is fast with a medium low pitch,
00:06 Some drums are added into the back ground.
00:11 Seems like the bird, flute, comes in a little bit here
00:16 A crescendo starts here and the pitch also becomes higher.
00:22 This is the top of the crescendo and there is a very high pitch.
00:26 There is an abrupt ending. Having the piece have an abrupt ending lets the listener guess what
is going to happen next. This lets the listeners imagination come into play as they are listening and
having the story conveyed to them through the music.

00:27 The bird and the cat are being played at the same time for a short amount of time.
00:33 It seems like the bird is responding to the cat at this time.
00:37 The bird is playing down the scale like it is falling. This is being played until the end of
the composition. In real life normally cats and birds don t like one another. So one would expect
to hear some form of fight between the two during this piece. It doesn t seem like that happened
though, at least not until the very end when it sounded like the bird was falling out of the tree,
possibly because the cat swatted at the bird making the bird lose its balance, only the composer
really knows what happened there. The listener has to use their imagination.

The Effectiveness Of The SAFE Act
The SAFE Act is considered reactionary firearm legislation, essentially being rushed through to
pass. It was designed to prevent criminals and the dangerously ill from purchasing firearms through
a universal background check, and greatly affects mental health professionals. The SAFE Act did
not get consideration from any mental health professionals though, and did not ask for their input.
The Act required mental health professionals to report patients they believe are likely to engage in
conduct that would result in serious harm to self or others to county authorities. Even if the
professional believes the patient would benefit from treatment, and doesn t even know if they have
access to firearms, they must report them. The SAFE Act effectively

Digging
Seamus Heaney was born on April 13, 1939, on a farm in Castledawson,
County Derry, Northern Ireland, the eldest of eight children. In 1963, he began teaching at St.
Joseph s College in Belfast.
The first poem I ll be looking at is digging it was written in
1966.
The poem consists of 9 stanzas that vary between two lines and five lines in length. There is no
pattern to the stanzas, perhaps to reflect the idea that there is no pattern or predictability to our
memories. In the poem there is quite a variation in the language e.g. the title is blunt. It is only
when we have read the poem carefully that we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He was also proud of his grandfather, who was so keen to work that he hardly stopped when
Heaney brought him some milk. To drink it, and then fell to right away this show how hard he
worked. His work was precise nicking and slicing neatly and he was strong heaving sods over his
shoulder.
Heaney does not explain exactly why he has no spade to follow men like them . Does he think he
is not physically strong enough for the work? Or does he think his father and grandfather may not
approve of him cultivating the land.
There is quite a lot of alliteration in digging e.g. curd cuts digging down and down and the
squelch and slap of soggy peat this gives the poem life it makes it more interesting to read. The
opening simile is striking Heaney s pen is snug as a gun . It shows how perfectly the pen fits his
hand, this shows how well suited Heaney is to write. (In the fourth stanza, Heaney describes how
perfectly his father s body is in tune with the spade, showing how well suited he is to dig.) The
gun image also suggests the strength of the pen, it is a weapon for writing.
There is a writing technique called enjambment which means lines in a poem that run on from on to
another without a punctuation or pause.
There is an example of this between the second and third stanza. My father, digging.
I look down Till his straining rump among the flowerbeds Bends low, comes up twenty years away,

Throughout a lifetime, only so much conflict could be bore upon oneself. There is always a
breaking point, the important aspect is the timing. From my story Wuthering Heights to Beowulf
and Canterbury Tales there are conflicts that have been exaggerated and then blown to
preposterous proportions. In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight there are conflicts between man and
man just like there are in the world we live in today. Conflicts in books or stories could show what
is going on in the real world or what an author is thinking and making up.In Wuthering Heights
there could be two different conflicts man vs. man, with the conflict between Heathcliffand Edgar,
as well as a conflict of man vs. self, with the inner conflict that Catherine faces... Show more

Heathcliff is the only character who is considered a hero at all, but only to the audience in a
romantic hero kind of perspective ( Wuthering Heights ). In the novel Heathcliff abuses a young
woman named Isabella Linton, the selfish snotty sister of Edgar, and she continuously goes back
to Heathcliff. To the audience Heathcliff is the young man who everyone wants to see as the
romantic hero, allowing them to foresee the pain and violence he causes to Isabella. Only with
the deception of Heathcliff Wuthering Heights has a hero, there are no other ways to try and
make a hero. Even with one hero the entire story seemed to be wrapped around only three people
and only one love. The one love blossomed upon the arrival of Heathcliff into the home of the
Earnshaws. Heathcliff was brought into the home by Mr. Earnshaw, who in turn sparked the love
of the young children. Upon the death of Mr. Earnshaw, Hindley Earnshaw, the son of Mr.
Earnshaw and brother of Catherine, treated Heathcliff more like a servant than a equal. The sparks
behind the madness of Hindley was the way Mr. Earnshaw began to adore Heathcliff over Hindley,
which made Hindley jealous ( Hindley Earnshaw ). During all of the past actions, Catherine and
Heathcliff were obliviant due to the fun they had together at young ages, which began the love they
would soon share. When Catherine and Heathcliff were young they did not expand their small circle

Shadowheart Book Report
Genre Shadowheart is an action fantasy book. Author James Barclay Lesson/Theme/Take away
Persevere no matter how impossible the situation may seem. Setting The book is set on 3 main
areas; Balaia, the war torn magic college lands, Calaius, the elven continent, and the Northern
Continent, land of the Wesmen. Balaia is the land where the four magic colleges, Julatsa, Xetesk,
Lystern, and Dordover, reside. Calaius is an exclusively elven jungle continent with one main city.
The Northern Continent is on the other side of the Blackthorne Mountains and home to the
Wesmen. The time period is unknown, mostly because it is set in a mythical dimension. Despite

Devun, their new leader, hopes to align himself with the Wesmen to defeat the colleges and
destroy magic forever as this Blackwings goal. Why Read Shadowheart? This book is for
people who enjoy nerve wracking action most of a book. Despite the fast paced nature of the
book, one can also see the development of characters throughout not only the trilogy, but this
book alone. Yet one reading must also enjoy a fantasy world with a completely different culture
and society base than that of our own. One can easily find themselves lost in the world that
James Barclay has beautifully constructed. For those who have a hard time getting into any given
book if it starts out slowly, not to worry, Shadowheart is faced paced from the get go. Despite
having a few defined protagonists, the antagonist is sometimes hard to find. This can mostly be
attributed to having multiple story lines within any given chapter telling you about what is going
on with every side of the war. This structure gives the book a unique reading style that is enjoyable
and adds an extra element to the experience of reading. I would recommend this book to

Religious Spaces, By Thomas Tweed
Religious spaces, characterized by Thomas Tweed, are differentiated, interrelated, and kinetic. As a
sacred city with spiritual significance in three major religions, Jerusalem is depicted thoroughly in
the Hebrew Bible and illustrated as one of the spaces Tweed defines. The Bible emphasizes that
Jerusalemwas chosen by God and honored by Israelites, which differentiates it as a special,
singular space; the description of Solomon s Temple shows that the Holy City was interrelated to
economic power and involved in the judgment of civil cases. Moreover, the conquest, development
and destruction of Jerusalem illustrate the city as a kinetic space, reflecting the unsettled history of
the Iron Age. These characteristics all make Jerusalem a religious and political center from the
ancient Near East time to present day, guiding the footsteps of believers around the world.
In his essay Space , Thomas Tweed characterizes spaces for religious practices as differentiated
locales that are sensually encountered and imaginatively figured. They are more or less special,
singular, or set apart from undifferentiated or unnamed generic places (Tweed 2011: 119). He also
states that spaces are always interrelated with nature and with culture, and they are shaped by
political processes, social relations and economic forces. Furthermore, defining religions as
confluence of organic cultural flows about dwelling and crossing, about finding a place and moving

Schools Need 21st Century Materials And Resources
Schools need 21st century materials and resources to serve 21st century students. There needs to be
a change in ideology regarding the function of the library in todays society. For centuries, libraries
have remained essentially separate, even competing with one another to establish and maintain the
greatest collection, and now they need to recast themselves as platforms rather than storehouses.
(Palfrey, 2015) With the introduction of the internet and online information libraries need to
rebrand themselves. Libraries around the world can now share information with one another in real
time, and the competition for resources has ended. That said, there is still value in networking with
other agencies devoted to educationand information. John Palfrey, author of Biblio Tech suggests
that, Libraries must act as ambitiously networked institutions, connecting their network effectively
with partner intuitions: archives, historical societies, museums, and other cultural heritage
organizations. (2015) More agencies are partnering up to give their patrons access to the best and
most credible information.

In addition, this document will highlight the importance of an effective leadership style, focusing
on the proper use of intelligence assets and the welfare of soldiers in order to accomplish the
mission during war.
The Sioux Treaty of 1868 Violation The BLB was a response to the violation of the Sioux treaty
of 1868. Both, the Sioux tribes and the U.S. Government (USG) signed a treaty in 1868,
guaranteeing the Indians ownership of the Black Hills and hunting rights (Staff, 2009). However,
General Custer led an expedition of miners into the Black Hills that discovered gold in 1874.
According to Corbin (2000), the Black Hills stretch across western South Dakota, northeast
Wyoming and southeast Montana. Indians consider the Black Hills a sacred landscape because it
is the spiritual center of the Sioux nation. The discovery of gold in the Black Hills attracted gold
hunters who crossed into Indian lands, not caring of the significance of the land. According to the
History Channel, this betrayal and breach of the treaty led many Sioux and Cheyenne tribesmen to
leave their reservations and joined Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse (Famous Sioux warrior leaders)
in Montana. By spring of 1876, more than 10,000 Native Americans gathered in a camp along the
Little Bighorn River (UNK, 2009). The USG offered to buy the Black Hills for $6

The Impact Of Native Schools On M Ж’Г„ Ori Society Essay
Discuss the impact of the introduction of native schools on MДЃori society.
The establishment of Native Schools around New Zealand in 1867 had many pulverizing effects
which exceeded the few benefits associated with having Native Schools. Native Schools were
fundamentally village day schools set up in rustic areas providing MДЃori children with European
education under the Native Schools Act 1867. Native Schools were managed to be a medium for
the State to gain social control over the MДЃori population and to assimilate MДЃori into civilised
law abiding citizens . This essay will investigate how the State promoted/pushed cultural
homogeneity through the education system at Native Schools as an approach to attain their ideal
outlook of Europeanising and gaining full control over the MДЃori population and their resources.
MДЃori and PДЃkehДЃ had very different aspirations for the establishment of Native Schools from
the very start (Bishop 1996:76). While MДЃori wanted to further enhance their knowledge to battle
the threat forced by the vicinity of PДЃkehДЃ the main focus of the State was merely to control
MДЃori society through assimilation (Simon 1998:106). The fact that MДЃori had to provide land
for which the school was to be built on, and to additionally pay for half the portion of the
development expenses of the school and one quarter of the teacher s wages demonstrates that the
setting up of native schools resulted in a financial burden to the MДЃori society (Duncan 2014).

The birth of Christianity was a big part of Christian life. Christianity has about 2,200,000,000
followers, that s a lot however the biggest part of Christianity is the birth of Jesus Christ.
Firstly, the birth of Jesus was a historical part of Christianity because without the birth of Jesus then
there will not be a Christian religion. Also, Jesus was born on December 25 to Virgin Mary in
Bethlehem. Even though Virgin Mary was never married to a man before although Virgin Mary
was engaged to her loved one Joseph. The second biggest part of Christianity is when Jesus got
baptized and started to follow Christianity.
Secondly, the John the Baptist was also a big part of Christianity, too. Jesus travelled from Galilee

The Human Reproduction Act, An Individual
Under s.60 of the Assisted Human Reproduction Act, an individual (a) is liable, on conviction on
indictment, to a fine not exceeding $500,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten
years, or to both; or (b) is liable, on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding $250,000 or to
imprisonment for a term not exceeding four years, or to both for not complying with the guidelines
set out regarding the duties of the reproductionof a child. A surrogate mother is defined as a woman
who carries a fetus conceived through an assisted reproduction procedure which is derived from
the genes of a donor or donors, and with the intent of surrendering such child at the time of birth
(AHRA, 2004). However, there is still ambiguity felt between surrogates and parents related to what
the law sets out as their legal duties in conceiving a child, and this is also pertinent in relation to the
context of a working contract. Having said that, this essay aims at addressing the unclarity, pointing
to the main arguments in favor of the Assisted Human Reproduction Act, and how the decision was
aimed to safeguard the rights of those involved; including the child, and to prevent culpability
issues within the health sector and many others linked to the overall process.
To understand why this is a highly controversial issue today, we must look at some of the main
objectives of why this law was enacted and the compromises made in order to achieve satisfaction
of all. First, what are the

Compare And Contrast To Andromeda By Sappho
In Ancient Greece
Pain can be shown in ways such as anger and sorrow. The writer Sappho establishes great imagery
in the poem To Andromeda by taking pain into natural moving actions. She expresses how her
feelings change from hurt to anger and how heavy that can be. The artist Pheidias, was often
credited as being the greatest of all Ancient Greek sculptors he was a man gifted with much talent.
Not one specific piece can definitely be attributed to the artist, but historical record suggests that he
was the supervisor and main sculptor for works such as the Athena Parthenos and the Zeus for the
temple at Olympia. Athenaeus, was an composer and musician from ancient Greece who thrived
around years of 138 28 BC, when he would compose the First Delphic Hymn .

While The Three Soldiers represent the survivors, the wall is to remember the ones that lost
their lives during the Vietnam war. The artist that designed the wall was Maya Lin who was a
student from Yale University, who participated in a competition for creating a memorial to
honor the serviceman. Though her getting a B in her class for the design, she had won the
competition which led to what we have today in the memorial wall. Many people were really
against the wall since it felt like lacked the patriotic symbol to remember the lost lives of
servicemen. The black hue color resulted in Tom Cathcart to state the universal color of shame
and sorrow and degradation. This was one of many feeling the critics thought which even caused
H.Ross Perot to withdraw his support. The wall is made of black granite gabbro that starts of
very small on one side, gradually increasing in size to represent the scare left behind by
remembering the fallen but not forgotten soldiers. The names of the estimated 58,000 soldiers
also disappear when rain is present and reappear when dried up. It would be considered an

Why Was Alexander Hamilton Was A Clever
Alexander Hamilton was a very clever man. Many believe that he was clever for the right
reasons and many also believe that he was clever for the wrong reasons. On the website
www.theatlantic.com , Alexander Hamilton was placed 5th on the top 100 most influential
Americans. I think that Hamilton did amazing things such as being a founding father for our
country but some people think that those things just ruined our country from the very
beginning. Born in the British West Indies, he arrived in the colonies as a teenager, and quickly
embarked on a remarkable career (History.com Staff). When Alex was ten his father, James A.
Hamilton, abandoned him, his brother, and his mother. Two years later his mother, Rachel
Faucette died of a fever. Alex received that fever at the same time as his mother and his health

was broke. Enrolled at King s College (now Columbia University) in 1774 (American History

Constantine And The Fall Of The Roman Empire
If I could travel back in time to the days of the Roman empire, I would try and prevent Constantine

greatly benefited the eastern side of the Roman empire, but with the growing power of the east, the
west continued to crumble. And as the west falls, the east will soon follow. Ths will result in the
total fall of the Roman empire. For the east, and as far as Constantine could see, moving the
capital from the far western side (almost in the east), to the east it seemed perfect because the
location was centered perfectly for trade, and less

Words To Describe Chris
There are many people in this world who hold great reputations. There are far fewer people who
posess great character. A reputation is built in just moments, and reflects what you do in front of
people. Character, on the other hand, is built over years, and is reflected in what is unseen by
others. Of all of my friends, one exemplifies great character more than any of the others. His name
is Chris.
Chris stands a little over 6 feet tall with thick, dirty blonde hair. His piercing blue eyes change color
in the sunlight. He is very light complected, with a small amount of facial hair on the base of his
chin. His long sideburns grow down the length of his ear. He is one of those adventurous guys who

challenged for his religious beliefs, he still seems to have the ability to make peace with those who

effect on his personality. He doesn t seem to take anything personally.
I once asked him if he had ever gotten angry. He replied, В« More times than you can ever know

never takes his anger out on his friends. When he is upset, he normally starts humming a christian
tune in his mind to allievate himself from the frustration he feels.
In addition to this, Chris is an extremely educated young man who will one day become very
successful. As an engineering student, he is on a full NASA scholarship, and receives many other
grants and scholarships as well. He served as an intern at NASA Langley Research Center last
year, and plans on returning soon. He was even asked by NASA to represent them at the Southern

of soul, disco, and country, as well as classic pop balladry and even progressive rock. October

Reginald changes his name to Elton, he joined a band called Bluesology. In 1966, the bands name

band. He went on to an audition, which he failed. Although he failed the audition, he was given

The reason it changed is because Elton asked Bernie to and he saw no reason not to. Goodbye
Yellow Brick Road was based on childhood events of Taupin, which consisted of the first movie
he saw, The Wizard of Oz and growing up. Bernie wrote most of his songs about Elton but this
particular song is about him. The song was rumored to be about Judy Garland seeing that she
starred in the Wizard of Oz and the album art represents the Wizard of Oz. However, it was
actually about Elton s fame and fortune and to contrast of Bernie s attempts to remain low key
while Elton s was be extravagant. Bennie and The Jets is about a fictional band. Bennie is
suppose to be a female character. Even though the song has no substantial meaning it turned into
one of the top hits in the album. The music for this song was to represent glam rock . The lyrics
originated from movies, comic books, and a German photographer, Helmut Newton. The song
was a hit on R B chart. Elton was proud of making the chart due to that fact that he was
influenced by many African American musicians. Since the song has no meaning, Elton was
shocked it became #1. Elton s producer, Gus Dudgeon, added crowd noise from the Royal
Festival Hall show to add a live feeling to the song. In addition, whistles were included from a
concert in Vancouver. In 1997, Elton played the song on the The Muppets Show. While playing

Ignorance In Jane Austen s Northanger Abbey
In Northanger Abbey, Austen highlights the dangers of an educated woman and demonstrates
through Catherine that to be ignorant is far more beneficial. On a walk with Henry and Eleanor
Tilney, Catherine feels out of place as the they begin to talk about a subject she is unfamiliar with,
drawing. She becomes heartily ashamed of her ignorance, but the narrator says: Where people wish
to attach, they should always be ignorant... A woman especially, if she has the misfortune of
knowing any thing, should conceal it as well as she can (124). The narrator comments that a
woman should conceal her knowledge as best as she can because it is not a woman s place to be
well informed. An educated woman challenges the patriarchal system within their society since
knowledge gives men power and superiority. Therefore, knowledgeable women are unappealing
while imbecility greatly enhances their personal charms. The narrator demonstrates further
demonstrates this through the positive effects of Catherine s ignorance: But Catherine did not

women should conceal their knowledge. This brings to light society s oppressive belief that

Etiological Theories And Social Implications Essay
Etiological Theories and Social Implications In this earliest period of recognition, people in the
psychiatric community began to formulate theories as to why children developed conditions like
autism and schizophrenia. Some theorized about the possibility of a genetic predisposition early on,
but the ideas of some influential figures in the field proposed theories with rather damaging
implications (Donvan, 2016). Kanner himself initially thought that autismwas a result of a distant
mother (Silberman, 2015). Finn writes of Bruno Bettelheim, a controversial figure who widely
propagated this previously synthesized refrigerator mother theory. The causative crux, it was
proposed, was cold ideation and behavior of mothers in regards to their children. He and some
others believed that negative emotions on part of mothers about the existence of their children,
even subconscious ones, caused these children to retreat into themselves for protection. Bettelheim,
having been victimized by the Nazis, reported that he had seen withdrawn behaviors expressed by
others suffering in the camp that very closely resembled the withdrawn and self comforting
behaviors of children with autism and schizophrenia (1997). It seemed reasonable to him that these
behaviors stemmed from a severe insult to a child s sense of safety and trust in his mother. The
patent result of such a proposal is the stigmatization of parents of children with autism. Given the
severe stigmatization of autism and

The White Privilege In Elvis Presley s Career
At the start of Presley s career, his privilege is displayed in his first and only performance at The

given a chance after Sam Phillips begged Jim Denny to let Presley perform. While the audience

Elvis did not fit in The Opry Style that he had the desire to pursue.
Regardless, that this was not Presley s audience he still obtained the performance opportunity.
Nevertheless, he sauntered on the stage with his style, which he found during the talent search and
then performed a typical song for the crowd in his style. One performance that was an outrage ...

perpetuated due to his ownership of a night club. After touring Mexico, he brought a girl back to

While this act was implemented, very rarely was it ever enforced. Berry was prosecuted simply

The Impact of Ordo Virtutum on the Formation and Development of Liturgical Drama Thesis: The

development of later works, providing religious inspiration, unique and expressive composition,
and reflections of individual experiences in order to create the first liturgical drama of its kind. I.
Ordo Virtutum depicts an allegorical struggle between good and evil, setting a precedent for later
liturgical dramas. A. Hildegard of Bingen s Ordo Virtutum is considered the first of its kind,

indicative of Hildegard of Bingen s efforts to depict the drama as an expression of praise, glory,
and righteousness. A. The verse and tone of Ordo Virtutum contributes to the overarching theme of
holiness and righteousness within the piece. 1. Ordo Virtutum is written in Latin from the twelfth
century that is praised its revolutionary nature and differentiation from all other sacred poetry
during this time. 2. Ordo Virtutum has a modal formulaic structure that works by an alternating
solo and choral response, which is considered to be distinct to Hildegard s compositions. B.
Hildegard utilizes techniques of singing and shouting to emphasize various characteristics in Ordo
Virtutum. 1. The Devil is not given any singing lines, rather, is directed to shout his lines. Given
the idea that music is the imitation of divine harmony, the Devil should take no part in music. 2.
The Devil intervenes within the scenes of light and purity by shouting his threats. By using such
extreme differences in vocal technique, the essential message of the morality play is shown here.
C. The conclusion of Ordo Virtutum consists of a period of praise and glory, demonstrating
Hildegard of Bingen s ideal vision of devotion to righteousness. 1. Half of the published score is

Throughout this poem, Lux demonstrated tone, figure of speech, theme, structure, and imagery.
When Lux composed this poem, he wanted his audience to understand the tone of voice that he

The type of figurative of speech that he used was imagery and metaphor. Lux used imagery and
metaphor because he wants to enhance the description and give the reader a mental image of what
word he is describing. When Lux had used imagery, he is mainly talking about the barn. Some
people hated the barn they knew; some people love the barn they know so you hear the word
loaded and sensory connection. (line 23 25). Lux purpose for saying that quotation is because a
different individual might see a different image how they would think a barn would look. For
instance, someone might think that a barn is brown, and others may think it is red. Additionally,
Lux said another imagery line. By an internal ear informed by internal abstracts and what you
know by feeling (line 13 14). Th purpose that Lux is trying to point out is that when a word is
said, it shows an image that may bring memories. Then for metaphor, Lux began to speak about
darkness. Dark cathedral of your skull (line 11 12). Lux reasoning for saying that is because a
dark cathedral might seem to be a dark quiet place where everyone can hear or speak in their own
internal voice. Lux used figuratively of speech because he wants his readers to understand the

Biopsychosocial Model Of Addiction
The Final Common Pathway of Addiction Model (FCP of Addiction Model) is essentially an
eclectic group of models and theories that include the biopsychosocial model, which consists of the
biological, psychological, and social models of addiction. The FCP of Addiction Model
encompasses this model, but also includes the environmental and spiritual components of addiction.
In this instance, what the theory is referencing, as Final and Common is that addiction reaches an
in common, ultimate end of journey. The Pathway refers to the various paths traveled to reach the
same end to this journey. Individuals experience various triggers from multiple influences that
propel them down the path of addiction. Some may follow the same path, but with... Show more

Just as there are many pathways to addiction, there are many pathways to recovery. This means that
for some individuals a spiritual pathway for recovery could be very effective and appropriate.
Unfortunately, Western Culture has lost touch with the spiritual aspect of life. (Dolin, 2013)
This is why it is imperative that we include the spiritual component of the FCP of Addiction
Model. People need something to believe in. Drug use requires motivation. In regard to
spirituality, the motivation is to discover an awareness of self and one s identity. Without this
awareness, an individual is simply adrift in life without direction. The addict seeks to fill a void
that only God can fill. As clinicians, we have the unique opportunity to lead them to a path of
hope. In conclusion, this researcher supports the FCP of Addiction Model as it pertains to
addiction because it is inclusive of the components closest to a unifying model of addiction.
Within the framework of the FCP of Addiction Model lies the biopsychosocial model, but in
addition to this model we add environmental and spiritual factors. If we are indeed products of our
environment then we must consider environment when building a model of addiction. To this end,
we also must include spirituality because it represents the power within us to seek out and
determine who we are and who we want to be. When individuals lose sight of this

Arranged Marriages In America
Throughout society, marriage is seen as a special symbol of two people becoming one.
In the eastern side of the world, arranged marriages are very common. It is not like the western
world where couples date to know each other then choose whether they are the perfect match.
Arranged marriages are often chosen by the elders in the family. This practice has been handed
down for centuries. Throughout the marriage process, there are certain procedures that must be
followed in eastern matchmaking. Once a match has been chosen, the couple will learn over time
that commitment and acceptance comes prior to emotions and happiness. Even though our western
ways may seem normal to us, the traditions of eastern marriages are custom through procedure,
commitment and acceptance within their society.
While every traditional marriage may be different, the eastern custom has chosen to abide by long
established procedures. These procedures consist of family members who decide on what is best
for their offspring. The decisions which are considered range from family values, education,
wealth, and physical appearance. This practice has worked well for the union of marriage for the
two chosen individuals. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Parkinson s disease is one of the few diseases that have been around since ancient times. In the
ancient Indian medical system of Ayurveda this disease was referred to as Kampavata. In AD

shaking palsy . It was not until 1817 that a detailed medical essay was published on the subject
by London doctor, James Parkinson. The publication was titled An Essay on the Shaking Palsy .
This officially established Parkinson s disease as a medical condition. The essay was based on six

Since Parkinson s disease deals with the trouble of moving, it affects the nervous system. It

Persuasive Essay On Deforestation
Deforestation Every day we use paper, and every day we sit on or use furniture that is made of
wood. Look around you, how many things are not made out of wood? Deforestation is the
destruction or removal of forests. In fact, 50,000 trees are being cut down every minute. The issue
deforestation links directly with the issues of air pollution, loss of animal habitats and climate
change as well as several health problems. Deforestation can be solved if everyone helped, but
not everyone has the same perspective. For example, some world leaders like Donald Trump do
not believe that climate change is an issue, and a lot of people do not care about deforestation
because they are unaware or because they do not care about anything beside themselves. I became
interested in this topic after knowing that in countries where deforestation is a bigger issue, people
are less healthy. Although Canada does not struggle with deforestation as much compared to China
and the US, I do not want the same to happen.
One issue that deforestation causes is extinction the permanent loss of species. Each species is
unique and different but most share the same home: the forest. While others say that logging
creates jobs and lowers the risk of uncontrollable wildfires, what about all the animals? Where
will they go when they no longer have a home? According to experts, 99% of all existing species
that have ever existed are now gone. The loss of species may result in environmental
repercussion. All living things are connected, if the connection is broken, nature would no longer
be balanced. The government need to raise awareness of citizens, a possible solution to this
would be hempcrete. Hemprete is a material made of weed, lime and water that can be used as a
substitute for wood in houses. This method can save a lot of trees, since 44% of wood goes to
construction. Second of all, deforestation has many unexpected effects to the environment and may
result in negative consequences such as climate change. Tree protect the soil from erosion, they
produce oxygen and store carbon dioxide along with purifying the air and controlling the climate.
When forests are cut down, the carbon stored in the trees will be released back into the

  • 2. Persuasive Essay On The Fifth Amendment As we sit and watch some of your favorite television shows, Blue Bloods, Criminal Minds, and The Blacklist, we can catch the prominent phrases, right to remain silent... and/or I plead the fifth in one or two scenes leading to interrogation. Although the television shows are fiction, the statements are factual and are part of the U.S. Constitution to protect a person against self incrimination. Self incrimination plays a vast part of the Bill of Right, specifically the Fifth Amendment. The Fifth Amendment has protected many Americans from punishment. Yet, this Amendment also has made it possible for guilty verdicts in criminal cases. This was possible with the historical adoption of the Fifth Amendment, the implementation of the five different clauses, and numerous criminal cases that established the strength of the Fifth Amendment. The philosophies behind the Fifth Amendment traced back to Magna Carta, 1215. The Magna Carta specified that No person shall ... be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due processof law ... . Although England s King John did not agree to the term willingly, the Magna Carta was signed in hope to build a relationship between the King and the nobles and keep the peace. Unfortunately, the signed Magna Carta annulled by Pope Innocent II. In 1613, Sir Edward Coke also advocated for the Magna Carta as part of his approach toward the power struggle of the courts. Coke argued that all matters needed to be addressed through the law of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. How Did Huxley Change In Brave New World A New World Technological progress has merely provided us with more efficient means for going backwards ( Aldous Huxley Quotes ). Aldous L. Huxley, author of Brave New World, is one the most influential writers in history, writing timeless works that still boggle minds almost a century later. Huxley didn t just become an unparalleled writer overnight, but it is his life that shapes his works. While Huxley s Keratitis Punctuate, sudden death in the family and strong influences in science and evolution changed his life greatly, it is the influence on his writing that has left a lasting mark forever. When Aldous Huxleycontracted Keratitis Punctate in 1911, the course of his life was changed forever. Since Keratitis punctate is a virus,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Aldous Huxley was born into a family of acclaimed scientists. His grandfather was Thomas Henry Huxley who is the most famous, controversial naturalist of his time, and with two brothers becoming eminent biologists, his family was no short of brilliance in the scientific field. Huxley himself was on the path to become a scientist until he contracted Keratitis Punctate and couldn t properly conduct his experiments ( Aldous Huxley Biography ). While his later writings may have not been as dry as a lab report, remnants of his scientific endeavors and influences are woven throughout. For example, Huxley writes, preserving the excised ovary alive and actively developing; passed on to a consideration of optimum temperature, salinity, viscosity (A. Huxley 5). His scientific knowledge that is woven into Brave New World creates a general image of the future, but in certain areas, such as the passage above, Aldous Huxley uses his scientific knowledge to create a dry diction that gives off a sense of fear and disgust in the rapid advancement of technology. Huxley s diction of towering scientific terms brings many aspects of this society to life, such as when Huxley talks about genetic engineering and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. To His Coy Mistress Rhyme Scheme In Andrew Marvell s poem, To His Coy Mistress , the speaker argues that if he and the woman he is addressing had an infinite amount of time together, there would be no rush to be together. However, since they are not immortal and only human, they cannot be together forever and only have what is offered to them: the present moment. The speaker tries to convince the woman to seize the day and to indulge in the physical aspect of their relationship before marriage. Marvell s argument is that instead of categorizing our lives based on and fretting about what should be done in the present versus what should be done in the future, people should cherish every moment as it comes. In order to convey this theme, Marvell utilizes a nonuniform scheme... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By using this irregularity and not using a rigid pattern throughout the poem, Marvell cleverly throws the reader off to the uneven distribution of syllables in order and their attention is given to the substance of those lines. For instance, there are pauses within the first two lines that separates, and thereby throws off, the tetrameter. The third line (twelve syllables) contains no pauses and continues into the fourth line (eight syllables), reason being that this rhythm contrasts the rhythm of the couplet, where the two lines possess ten syllables ... • 5. The Duck Jumps Out Of The Pond Essay 11)Sergei Prokofiev was the composer for Peter and the Wolf, Op. 67: The Duck Jumps Out of the Pond. The Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra preformed this composition with Ondrej Lenard as their conductor. 00:00 The tempo at the beginning is fast with a medium low pitch, 00:06 Some drums are added into the back ground. 00:11 Seems like the bird, flute, comes in a little bit here 00:16 A crescendo starts here and the pitch also becomes higher. 00:22 This is the top of the crescendo and there is a very high pitch. 00:26 There is an abrupt ending. Having the piece have an abrupt ending lets the listener guess what is going to happen next. This lets the listeners imagination come into play as they are listening and having the story conveyed to them through the music. 12)Peter and the Wolf, Op. 67: The Wolf... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 00:23 The cat, clarinet, comes in. 00:27 The bird and the cat are being played at the same time for a short amount of time. 00:33 It seems like the bird is responding to the cat at this time. 00:37 The bird is playing down the scale like it is falling. This is being played until the end of the composition. In real life normally cats and birds don t like one another. So one would expect to hear some form of fight between the two during this piece. It doesn t seem like that happened though, at least not until the very end when it sounded like the bird was falling out of the tree, possibly because the cat swatted at the bird making the bird lose its balance, only the composer really knows what happened there. The listener has to use their imagination. 14)The composer Sergei Prokofiev wrote the composition Peter and the Wolf, Op. 67: The Wolf Prowls in Wait. It was designed to prevent criminals and the dangerously ill from purchasing firearms through a universal background check, and greatly affects mental health professionals. The Act required mental health professionals to report patients they believe are likely to engage in conduct that would result in serious harm to self or others to county authorities. In 1963, he began teaching at St. Joseph s College in Belfast. The first poem I ll be looking at is digging it was written in 1966. The poem consists of 9 stanzas that vary between two lines and five lines in length. There is no pattern to the stanzas, perhaps to reflect the idea that there is no pattern or predictability to our memories. His work was precise nicking and slicing neatly and he was strong heaving sods over his shoulder. Heaney does not explain exactly why he has no spade to follow men like them . Does he think he is not physically strong enough for the work? Or does he think his father and grandfather may not approve of him cultivating the land. There is quite a lot of alliteration in digging e.g. curd cuts digging down and down and the squelch and slap of soggy peat this gives the poem life it makes it more interesting to read. The opening simile is striking Heaney s pen is snug as a gun . It shows how perfectly the pen fits his hand, this shows how well suited Heaney is to write. (In the fourth stanza, Heaney describes how perfectly his father s body is in tune with the spade, showing how well suited he is to dig.) The gun image also suggests the strength of the pen, it is a weapon for writing. There is a writing technique called enjambment which means lines in a poem that run on from on to another without a punctuation or pause. There is an example of this between the second and third stanza. My father, digging. I look down Till his straining rump among the flowerbeds Bends low, comes up twenty years away, ... There is always a breaking point, the important aspect is the timing. From my story Wuthering Heights to Beowulf and Canterbury Tales there are conflicts that have been exaggerated and then blown to preposterous proportions. In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight there are conflicts between man and man just like there are in the world we live in today. Conflicts in books or stories could show what is going on in the real world or what an author is thinking and making up.In Wuthering Heights there could be two different conflicts man vs. man, with the conflict between Heathcliffand Edgar, as well as a conflict of man vs. self, with the inner conflict that Catherine faces... To the audience Heathcliff is the young man who everyone wants to see as the romantic hero, allowing them to foresee the pain and violence he causes to Isabella. Only with the deception of Heathcliff Wuthering Heights has a hero, there are no other ways to try and make a hero. Even with one hero the entire story seemed to be wrapped around only three people and only one love. The one love blossomed upon the arrival of Heathcliff into the home of the Earnshaws. Heathcliff was brought into the home by Mr. Earnshaw, who in turn sparked the love of the young children. Upon the death of Mr. Earnshaw, Hindley Earnshaw, the son of Mr. Earnshaw and brother of Catherine, treated Heathcliff more like a servant than a equal. The sparks behind the madness of Hindley was the way Mr. Earnshaw began to adore Heathcliff over Hindley, which made Hindley jealous ( Hindley Earnshaw ). Yet one reading must also enjoy a fantasy world with a completely different culture and society base than that of our own. One can easily find themselves lost in the world that James Barclay has beautifully constructed. For those who have a hard time getting into any given book if it starts out slowly, not to worry, Shadowheart is faced paced from the get go. Despite having a few defined protagonists, the antagonist is sometimes hard to find. This can mostly be attributed to having multiple story lines within any given chapter telling you about what is going on with every side of the war. • 12. Religious Spaces, By Thomas Tweed Religious spaces, characterized by Thomas Tweed, are differentiated, interrelated, and kinetic. As a sacred city with spiritual significance in three major religions, Jerusalem is depicted thoroughly in the Hebrew Bible and illustrated as one of the spaces Tweed defines. The Bible emphasizes that Jerusalemwas chosen by God and honored by Israelites, which differentiates it as a special, singular space; the description of Solomon s Temple shows that the Holy City was interrelated to economic power and involved in the judgment of civil cases. Moreover, the conquest, development and destruction of Jerusalem illustrate the city as a kinetic space, reflecting the unsettled history of the Iron Age. These characteristics all make Jerusalem a religious and political center from the ancient Near East time to present day, guiding the footsteps of believers around the world. In his essay Space , Thomas Tweed characterizes spaces for religious practices as differentiated locales that are sensually encountered and imaginatively figured. They are more or less special, singular, or set apart from undifferentiated or unnamed generic places (Tweed 2011: 119). He also states that spaces are always interrelated with nature and with culture, and they are shaped by political processes, social relations and economic forces. There needs to be a change in ideology regarding the function of the library in todays society. For centuries, libraries have remained essentially separate, even competing with one another to establish and maintain the greatest collection, and now they need to recast themselves as platforms rather than storehouses. (Palfrey, 2015) With the introduction of the internet and online information libraries need to rebrand themselves. Libraries around the world can now share information with one another in real time, and the competition for resources has ended. That said, there is still value in networking with other agencies devoted to educationand information. John Palfrey, author of Biblio Tech suggests that, Libraries must act as ambitiously networked institutions, connecting their network effectively with partner intuitions: archives, historical societies, museums, and other cultural heritage organizations. (2015) More agencies are partnering up to give their patrons access to the best and most credible information.

Both, the Sioux tribes and the U.S. Government (USG) signed a treaty in 1868, guaranteeing the Indians ownership of the Black Hills and hunting rights (Staff, 2009). However, General Custer led an expedition of miners into the Black Hills that discovered gold in 1874. Indians consider the Black Hills a sacred landscape because it is the spiritual center of the Sioux nation. The discovery of gold in the Black Hills attracted gold hunters who crossed into Indian lands, not caring of the significance of the land. According to the History Channel, this betrayal and breach of the treaty led many Sioux and Cheyenne tribesmen to leave their reservations and joined Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse (Famous Sioux warrior leaders) in Montana. • 15. The Impact Of Native Schools On M Ж’Г„ Ori Society Essay Discuss the impact of the introduction of native schools on MДЃori society. The establishment of Native Schools around New Zealand in 1867 had many pulverizing effects which exceeded the few benefits associated with having Native Schools. Native Schools were fundamentally village day schools set up in rustic areas providing MДЃori children with European education under the Native Schools Act 1867. Native Schools were managed to be a medium for the State to gain social control over the MДЃori population and to assimilate MДЃori into civilised law abiding citizens . This essay will investigate how the State promoted/pushed cultural homogeneity through the education system at Native Schools as an approach to attain their ideal outlook of Europeanising and gaining full control over the MДЃori population and their resources. MДЃori and PДЃkehДЃ had very different aspirations for the establishment of Native Schools from the very start (Bishop 1996:76). While MДЃori wanted to further enhance their knowledge to battle the threat forced by the vicinity of PДЃkehДЃ the main focus of the State was merely to control MДЃori society through assimilation (Simon 1998:106). The fact that MДЃori had to provide land for which the school was to be built on, and to additionally pay for half the portion of the development expenses of the school and one quarter of the teacher s wages demonstrates that the setting up of native schools resulted in a financial burden to the MДЃori society (Duncan 2014). ... To add insult to injury, the owners opted to use their Facebook account to dispute comments which entailed statements that were considered rather disparaging remarks (SEJ, 2014). • 29. Etiological Theories And Social Implications Essay Etiological Theories and Social Implications In this earliest period of recognition, people in the psychiatric community began to formulate theories as to why children developed conditions like autism and schizophrenia. Some theorized about the possibility of a genetic predisposition early on, but the ideas of some influential figures in the field proposed theories with rather damaging implications (Donvan, 2016). Kanner himself initially thought that autismwas a result of a distant mother (Silberman, 2015). Finn writes of Bruno Bettelheim, a controversial figure who widely propagated this previously synthesized refrigerator mother theory. The causative crux, it was proposed, was cold ideation and behavior of mothers in regards to their children. He and some others believed that negative emotions on part of mothers about the existence of their children, even subconscious ones, caused these children to retreat into themselves for protection. Bettelheim, having been victimized by the Nazis, reported that he had seen withdrawn behaviors expressed by others suffering in the camp that very closely resembled the withdrawn and self comforting behaviors of children with autism and schizophrenia (1997). It seemed reasonable to him that these behaviors stemmed from a severe insult to a child s sense of safety and trust in his mother. The patent result of such a proposal is the stigmatization of parents of children with autism. Given the severe stigmatization of autism and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Elvis Presley was not invited to perform at The Ryman Auditorium but rather given a chance after Sam Phillips begged Jim Denny to let Presley perform. While the audience did not receive Presley s style well, it did not hinder his career, Jim Denny simply confirmed that Elvis did not fit in The Opry Style that he had the desire to pursue. Regardless, that this was not Presley s audience he still obtained the performance opportunity. Nevertheless, he sauntered on the stage with his style, which he found during the talent search and then performed a typical song for the crowd in his style. One performance that was an outrage ... After touring Mexico, he brought a girl back to work in his nightclub. This led to Berry being arrested in accordance with the MANN Act.The MANN Act is a federal statute making it illegal to transport a woman across state lines for immoral purposes. Anyone found guilty could serve up to 5 years in prison for the offense. While this act was implemented, very rarely was it ever enforced. Berry was prosecuted simply because he was a rock and roll headliner, and an African American who had opened a night club in a predominantly white section of town. During the trials, Berry continued to record and perform embracing his music, but due to the situation at hand, many harassed him. If Berry were white would there have been any question or backlash to his musical career? No one can say for sure, but when comparing Berry to Presley, it raises concern. The verse and tone of Ordo Virtutum contributes to the overarching theme of holiness and righteousness within the piece. 1. Ordo Virtutum is written in Latin from the twelfth century that is praised its revolutionary nature and differentiation from all other sacred poetry during this time. 2. Ordo Virtutum has a modal formulaic structure that works by an alternating solo and choral response, which is considered to be distinct to Hildegard s compositions. B. Hildegard utilizes techniques of singing and shouting to emphasize various characteristics in Ordo Virtutum. 1. The Devil is not given any singing lines, rather, is directed to shout his lines. Given the idea that music is the imitation of divine harmony, the Devil should take no part in music. 2. The Devil intervenes within the scenes of light and purity by shouting his threats. By using such extreme differences in vocal technique, the essential message of the morality play is shown here. C. This means that for some individuals a spiritual pathway for recovery could be very effective and appropriate. Unfortunately, Western Culture has lost touch with the spiritual aspect of life. (Dolin, 2013) This is why it is imperative that we include the spiritual component of the FCP of Addiction Model. People need something to believe in. Drug use requires motivation. In regard to spirituality, the motivation is to discover an awareness of self and one s identity. Without this awareness, an individual is simply adrift in life without direction. The addict seeks to fill a void that only God can fill. As clinicians, we have the unique opportunity to lead them to a path of hope. Within the framework of the FCP of Addiction Model lies the biopsychosocial model, but in addition to this model we add environmental and spiritual factors. If we are indeed products of our environment then we must consider environment when building a model of addiction. It is not like the western world where couples date to know each other then choose whether they are the perfect match. Arranged marriages are often chosen by the elders in the family. This practice has been handed down for centuries. Throughout the marriage process, there are certain procedures that must be followed in eastern matchmaking. Once a match has been chosen, the couple will learn over time that commitment and acceptance comes prior to emotions and happiness. Even though our western ways may seem normal to us, the traditions of eastern marriages are custom through procedure, commitment and acceptance within their society. While every traditional marriage may be different, the eastern custom has chosen to abide by long established procedures. • 42. Persuasive Essay On Deforestation Deforestation Every day we use paper, and every day we sit on or use furniture that is made of wood. Look around you, how many things are not made out of wood? Deforestation is the destruction or removal of forests. In fact, 50,000 trees are being cut down every minute. The issue deforestation links directly with the issues of air pollution, loss of animal habitats and climate change as well as several health problems. Deforestation can be solved if everyone helped, but not everyone has the same perspective. For example, some world leaders like Donald Trump do not believe that climate change is an issue, and a lot of people do not care about deforestation because they are unaware or because they do not care about anything beside themselves. I became interested in this topic after knowing that in countries where deforestation is a bigger issue, people are less healthy. Although Canada does not struggle with deforestation as much compared to China and the US, I do not want the same to happen. One issue that deforestation causes is extinction the permanent loss of species. Each species is unique and different but most share the same home: the forest. While others say that logging creates jobs and lowers the risk of uncontrollable wildfires, what about all the animals? Where will they go when they no longer have a home? According to experts, 99% of all existing species that have ever existed are now gone. The loss of species may result in environmental repercussion. All living things are connected, if the connection is broken, nature would no longer be balanced. The government need to raise awareness of citizens, a possible solution to this would be hempcrete. Hemprete is a material made of weed, lime and water that can be used as a substitute for wood in houses. This method can save a lot of trees, since 44% of wood goes to construction. Second of all, deforestation has many unexpected effects to the environment and may result in negative consequences such as climate change.
