Andrew Jackson Indian Removeal Policy Essay
Was Andrew Jackson s Indian Removal Policy Motivated by Humanitarian Impulses? Authors:
Anthony F. C. Wallace, Robert V. Remini, A Summary By: History 2111 Summer 2011 A summary
comparison of views regarding the Indian Removal Act of 1830, Was it an act of humanitarianism
intended to help and save the Native American culture from the white settlers, as Robert V. Remini has
argued? Or was his intent to destroy the tribal culture and to get rid of the Native Americans, as
Anthony F.C Wallace has argued? Robert V. Remini argues that Andrew Jackson s Indian Removal

Jackson s removal policy did not sit well with a lot of groups; many were uncomfortable about it but
agreed it had to be done. President Jackson showed great leadership apart from everything else, and
handled the Indian Removal act when no one else wanted to address the growing issue of Indian
problem. Most government officials saw little to gain from addressing this and would do nothing.
Some historians believe the president s motivation was clearly out of concern for the Indians customs,
their culture and their language, but his first concern was the safety of the military, Indians occupying
the east might jeopardize the defense of the United States. In December of 1830 President Jackson
would submitted the Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek to congress, it would be the first to win Senate
approval. President Jackson wanted everything to go smoothly so that the American people would see
that he was humane and that this Treaty would benefit both the Indians and the American nation at
large. With Jackson located too far away to oversee the actual removal of the Choctaw Nation, they
would endure mismanagement, theft, corruption, and inefficiency on a level that would lead to their
destruction. Jackson would be deeply offended and the removal of the Choctaw Nation would become
one of the worse horror stories of modem era. Anthony F.C

Advantages Of The African American Civil Rights Act Of 1965
The African American civil rights movement started in 1954, and although the civil rights act was
signed in 1964, and was meant to prohibit discrimination in both public and private places, equality
still wasn t present in many aspects of American life. African American s still didn t have equal voting
rights, in order to protest against this, Freedom Summer workers registered people in Mississippi to
vote, after this Martin Luther King launched a march for voting rights in Selma, Alabama in January,
1965. The voting act that was eventually passed gave the federal government the power to oversee
voting in states where discrimination was practised, which was primarily in the south. In the mid 1960
s America was divided on the issue of civil rights. This was especially evident through the views in
regards to the proposed voting rights act of 1965. The aim of the act was to overcome the legal
barriers, such as unreasonable tests that were given to African American s when they tried to register
for voting. The two approaches seen in the documents are one that is more legal and evidence based
and therefore logical, this refers to document 2A, a statement by Attorney General Katzenbach. The
other, document 2B, is a statement by Attorney General Button, is an approach that is far more
emotional and passionate and thus somewhat biased. It is focused on the disadvantages for the
individual state, as he is the Attorney General for the state of Virginia, therefore it is only

The Social Process Theories
A social norm is a specified code of conduct that is acceptable within a society or group. These norms
include both appropriate and inappropriate values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that are expected of
individuals under given circumstances (Lewis, 1969). They are neither static nor universal as they
keep on changing with time and vary with respect to culture, class and groups. There are two different
types of social norms, namely behavioral or descriptive norms and attitudinal or injunctive norms.
Descriptive norms are defined as actions and behaviors that are depicted by individuals in a social
group setting. These norms are informal and originate from the day to day social interactions hence
are neither enforced by the justice system nor other formal bodies (Cook, 2003).Behavioral norms
attract no social sanctions for non conformity with the norms. Injunctive norms on the other hand are
beliefs and expectations of how individuals or people should behave within a group setting under
given situations. Individuals tend to conform to attitudinal norms out of fear of possible interdictions
as a result of not following them.
Dominant culture refers to the approved languages, culture, beliefs, values, and customs that are
portrayed as for the general society. Dominant culture achieves dominion over other cultures through
domination of the social institutions such as communication, education, art, politics, law and
business.Dominant culture has played the role of judging

Example Of Doublethink
This is a clip which shows a compilation of multiple different news outlets repeating or saying the
same phrase. A media conglomerate called Sinclaire and they started buying local news organizations.
What occurred which is shown in this video is that they give forced memos that they have to read
verbatim to all of the news outlets they own. The issue here is that when people watch the news, they
do not know that the anchors are forced to say this. When they watch the news, they have no reason to
doubt their trusted news source. This video illustrates the concept of doublethink. Doublethink is
where one believes or accepts contrary beliefs at the same time. The process has to be conscious, or it

The Characteristics Of Characters In Microserfs By Douglas...
Experience shared with other people provided important knowledge that helps people find their place
in the world. The novel, Microserfs by Douglas Coupland displays these traits by having reader follow
the diary of Daniel Underwood as he starts to wonder if life has more meaning than just working.
Firstly, love helps a person understand to improve oneself, that they always have a person to talk too
and that love can make people cherish each other. Secondly, Loss can impact people by having them
deny about the loss, accept the loss and remember the loss. Finally, friendships help people understand
that there is more to life than work, friends are always there to help that friends can provide a
comfortable environment. The experience people go through with each others helps people to figure
out where they belong. To begin, the experience of love teaches people to always improve oneself,
people with significant others always have a person they can talk too and that love can make people
cherish others. Starting off, Relationships teaches people to always improve oneself. This is shown in
the novel when Daniel, in response to more men starting to notice Daniel s girlfriend: Karla as a
women he starts to go to the gym and improve himself. This is proof of how love can teach people to
improve themselves because Daniel is scared that Karla might get embarrassed to be with him due to
his appearance, so he decides to improve himself to make him more presentable when they go

Strengths And Weaknesses Of The Progressive Movement
Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of progressivism.
Prominent political reform movements focused on four main goals: making politics more effective,
limiting the power of big business, ameliorating poverty, and promoting social justice. In the 1880s
and 1890s, labor unions and farm radicals took the lead in critiquing the new industrial order and
demanding change. Over time, more and more middle class and elite Americans also took up the call,
eventually earning the name progressives. On the whole, middle class progressives proposed more
limited measures than farmer and labor advocates did, but since they wielded more political clout,
they often had greater success in winning passage of new laws. Thus, while their goals and tactics
differed, both radicals and progressives played important roles in advancing reform (Henretta, p 598).
Although historians call this era of political agitation and innovation the Progressive Era, no single
group led the way. On the contrary, prominent reformers took opposing views on such questions as
immigration policy, racial justice, women s rights, and imperialism. Most middle class progressives
were initially hostile to the sweeping ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other progressive reforms followed in the form of a conservation movement, railroad legislation, and
food and drug laws. The progressive spirit also was evident in new amendments added to the
Constitution (text), which provided for a new means to elect senators, protect society through
prohibition and extend suffrage to women. Urban problems were addressed by professional social
workers who operated settlement houses as a means to protect and improve the prospects of the poor.
However, efforts to place limitations on child labor were routinely thwarted by the courts. The needs
of African Americans and Native Americans were poorly served or served not at all a major

What Is The Theme Of The Forge By Seamus Heaney
The Man Behind The Door Into The Dark Seamus Heaney uniquely constructed his poem The Forge
to tell a story of an inspired outcast scrutinizing a man while he conducts true art. This poem is not
only about an outsider fantasizing about the unknown, but also about a blacksmith s every move and
more. The audience is left questioning who is this mysterious blacksmith? and who even is this being
of inspiration? After profound research was done, it was uncovered that the narrator is actually
Heaney, and the blacksmith is his dexterous neighbor, Barney Devlin. Heaney s definitive word choice
was significantly influenced by his young, budding mindset as a child, leading him to speak so
strongly about someone that he hardly even knew. As the inspiration behind multiple works of
Heaney, Barney Devlin was a local blacksmith and neighbor to the narrator. It is said by Vincent
Hanley that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In The Forge, Heaney expounds Devlin, recalls a clatter / Of hoofs where traffic is flashing in rows;
(Lines 11 12). Even supposing Heaney knows nothing true about the blacksmith s past, he uses his
fanciful mentality to approach the audience with a realistic explanation of changes that have come
with time. At this point, the world has changed dramatically, subsequent to the beginning of the
blacksmith s career. There is not much reasoning for the blacksmith s work anymore, considering that
the backbone of his business was the horseshoe. Now that time has brought upon cars, the red light
outside his house is a daily reminder of what used to be. He recalls a time when the sound of hoofs
could be heard from the forge. Heaney had not ever spoken to Devlin, yet knowing the facts of the
past and the grunting sounds coming from the inside, Heaney was able to conceive some possible
meaning for it

Aboriginal Inequality
Social Inequality with Canadian Aboriginals
SOC 300

Different ethnic backgrounds immigrate to Canada making it a very multicultural society. Immigrants
coming to Canada have made it progress to a more multicultural society, making other nations believe
that this is the case, however this does not include native societies that have been living in Canada for
the longest period of time. The purpose of this paper is to analyze how Aboriginals live in Canada.
This paper argues that aboriginals in Canada are not treated with the same equality as non aboriginals
livening in Canada, even though Canada is known as a multicultural society. By studying the history
of Aboriginal settlement in Canada ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They no longer get to own their land but at the same time they have to watch their land being taken
over. Over time this sense of group, or community disappears. Generations can no longer teach
younger generations about the importance of nature and therefore the history is slowly lost. Since they
lost their history and their connection to the land a lot of other parts of their culture and their beliefs
was taken away as well.
The main issue faced was losing a sense of their culture. Canada being a multicultural society, allows
for all people to practice their culture and they have the freedom to believe what they want. The
aboriginals lost that right when their land was taken over. It was lost because they no longer owned
their nature and it was taken over by technology and architecture, making them less united with the
forest and the land that they lived in. By taking over the land they were also forced to have to change
their education. In schools they were no longer allowed to learn Aboriginal culture. In 2002 by
studying Canadian schools it was said that as many as 30 percent of elementary students and 40
percent of high school students did not speak even a little of their Native tongues (Schissel, 2002). The
reason that this is the case can be because Aboriginal families stopped practicing their culture and
heritage at home therefore distancing the children from understanding where they came from. That is
not because they no longer

Frontiersmen have existed throughout America s history. According to Turner s hypothesis, they push

Cochise, and The Martian are all works of frontier literature. Each in their own way show
frontiersmen during different times in America s history with characters that interact with their
respective frontiers in different ways. Through these three books one can see how the core interactions
between frontiersmen and the frontiers call out the qualities of frontiersmen stated in Turner s frontier
hypothesis.

It is in William Shakespeare that the created individual (Hamlet), created out of that very space of
meaninglessness, enters for the first time into a genuine conflictual relationship; the genuine in the
sense that the opponents are equal of power. Prince Hamlet materializes as an individual who has a
miserable and weak identity, this kind of complex identity has a sense of hopeless and out of health
condition affected by the psychological problem. For example, when Hamlet pretends to be a weird
person while he is reading the book and talking with Polonius sarcastically, he actually has that sense
of weirdness outside and inside himself, but at the same time he is in full mental power that
contradicts himself. So, even when he pretends that he is mad and foolish, they affect his psychology
thus it seems to be true. The character of Hamlet would appear to be no character at all because a
name cannot be found for it, or which is the same thing because too many can be found. That means
that Hamlet identity has been wiped out as he is so singular, unspeakable person because he cannot
find and present himself in one place whereas he has the power to do react and revenge directly but
the hesitation prohibited him to any such action. A powerful vagueness invests the play s treatment of
inheritance. This statement means that Hamlet is recognized as unlucky son who years

Socrates, A Classical Greek Philosopher
Socrates, born in 470 BC in Athens, Greece, was a classical Greek philosopher and is believed to be
one of the founders of Western philosophy. He lived a good 71 years until his death in 399 BC.
Although Socrates never wrote anything down, we still know quite a bit about him. Everything we
know, we have learned through the writings of one of Socrates students, Plato. One very famous
phenomenon we learn from Socrates is Socrates Socratic method. It essentially laid down the building
blocks of Western logic and philosophy and it consists of five steps. The first step is to make a
statement; the second is to then look for exceptions. The third step comes in two parts. It states that if
an exception is found then the statement is either imprecise, or flat out false. Further comes step four
that says that if the statement is imprecise then to revise it. Finally step five is to repeat. A lot of
people were not Socrates biggest fans, which leads us to the charges and trial of Socrates. He was put
into trial for being impious and corrupting the youth. Although some may argue that Socrates was an
evil, unjust person that led a bad life and was a troublemaker, I affirm that Socrates led a good and
honorable life due to his great wisdom in admitting that he knows nothing. His awareness of his own
ignorance makes him an admirable person. To begin with, Socrates was quite the character. His soul
life mission consisted of using philosophy to achieve practical results for the

Validity And Validity Of Assessment
Validity refers to whether or not the test is measuring what it purports to measure. There are many
things which can influence a test s validity, such as: how the content relates to the construct being
measured; rater response processes, item relationships within the scales; as well as external variables
(Cohen Swerdlik, 2009). Validity includes measurements of criterion related validity which
encompasses both predictive validity and concurrent validity. These serve to show validity in the area
of prediction (Cohen Swerdlik, 2009). Further, convergent validity is utilized to establish a relational
validity when more than two assessments are used through showing a convergence which proves each
is measuring the same construct (Cohen Swerdlik, 2009).
Proficiency in the different methods of testing with respect to the technical aspect of assessment is a
requirement of administering and analyzing an assessment competently (Krishnamurthy et al., 2004).
In order to effectively select and implement psychological testing, one must have a thorough
understanding of the intended purpose of the assessment and further, how to decipher the results
(Cohen Swerdlik, 2009). A full understanding of sources of error, such as bias, must be understood, as
well as how to determine internal and external validity. Failures to fully understand the problems or
goals of the client could result in misappropriate test selection. Similarly incorrect selection of test

Interracial Jim Crow Laws
The most prevalent laws to appear not just in the South but, most of the United States dealt with
marriage, with a total of sixteen states outlawing the act. Interracial marriage was an unforgiving
crime, they were considered null and void, and could be punished by a fine and up to ten years in jail.
The laws wording varied from state to state, not just outlawing marriage between white and black but
also, between whites and almost any nonwhite race. One eighth of any nonwhite blood could define a
person as not white and had the ability to make marriages void in many states. The most famous

Even though the South s backwardness was on display for the entire country to see, there were still
those who refused to give up their style of life. African Americans of southern states continued during
this violent time to demand equal and fair treatment. Jim Crow laws defined them as second class
citizens, required them to continue to be subservient to whites. They were unable to receive proper
health care, they had to live in certain sections of town, and were forced to withstand abuse of all
nature without protection from law enforcement. Through these times though, civil rights groups, such
as the NAACP and movements continued to face the dangers of a hostile Southern population. In their
way stood hate groups like the Ku Klux Klan and the White Citizens Council, ready to fight for their
beliefs. Jim Crow laws were held up at not only the state levels but, also, the federal government.
Even through adversity, the call for real freedom was heard. Many African American and even whites
were inspired by great leaders such as Martin Luther King, Jr. and little Linda Brown. The courage of
the African American community during Jim Crow can be summed up by Harper Lee, Real courage

The Mexican Culture And The Day Of The Dead
The experimentation and research that delves into the mind, social interactions, and the history of
social cultures can all relate to why peoples and groups partake in certain social cultural practices.
Psychology relates to the study of the human mind. It also studies the brain s functions and uses said
functions to explain behavior. Sociology pertains to societies throughout time, being defined as the
study of development, structure, and functioning of human societies. Anthropology is defined as the
study of human societies and cultures and their development. These three fields of study work to
explain behavior and its causes. As popular cultural practices and followings come and go, it is best to
use reliable scientific means to attempt to explain the seemingly ridiculous behaviors of those who
partake in particular pop culture habits. While some social interactions are silly, such as the obsession
with celebrities, some may end up being useful for society. One such useful practice is the celebration
of the Day of the Dead. The Mexican culture relating to the Day of the Dead celebrations prove to be
useful interactions and practices. In Mexican culture, the Day of the Dead is a lively celebration often
observed from November 1st until November 2nd. What is often misunderstood as a gruesome
exaggeration of death is, in reality, a wondrous celebration of lives, though passed. From the outside,
onlookers view this celebration with horror and disbelief at how friendly

may think of Denmark, Norway, or Sweden. This may be true, but for these particular Vikings, it was
not the case. Anglo Saxons are in fact from Germany, Denmark, and Northern Holland. They are
called Anglo Saxons due to the people that came over were Angles, Saxons, and Jutes. What made
these Germanic descendants decide to go to Great Britain, Rome. Rome had problems back at home
which lead to them moving back to protect the Homefront. While Britain was vacant, the Anglo
Saxons took advantage of the opportunity to conquer the land while no one was there that could put up
a fight. Not only did they conquer England, but they also gave England its name. The word England
directly came from Angle Land. Which would be appropriate considering Anglo Saxons made
England their land.

Symbols In Romeo And Juliet
We all know the names Romeo and Juliet. A symbol of tragic lovers, but right now lets focus on the
character that is Romeo. In William Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare uses dramatic
irony, character foil, and monologue to define Romeo as a character. As I said before almsot everyone
knows Romeo loves Juliet, but in the beginning of the story he loved a girl named Rosaline. Romeo
was extremely depressed that she didn t love him back. We can see some of this behavior here, This
love that thou hast shown Doth add more greif to too much of mine own. (Page 18 lines 188 189) The
auidence already knows that Romeo will fall in love with Juliet, making this dramatic irony. We can
see that Romeo seems to be a bit dramatic, and falls in love fairly easily and quickly. Also we are
shown that he values his own wants because he is being a downer around his friends, and only talks
about Rosaline. This would be considered hedonism. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We can see his major differences between him and his friend Benvolio. Benvolio is a kind, honest, and
fun person. He s someone you d want to hang around with. While on the other hand, Romeo seems
impulsive and childish around him, as seen here Ben: At thy good heart s opression. Rom: Why, such
is love s transgression. (Page 18 Lines 184 185) With these two mixed we have a character foil.
Benvoilos enjoyable personality highlights Romeos unpleasent

Self-Hatred In Carrie White
Carrie s mom in the 2013 film is more interested in harming herself than harming Carrie White. In the
original version there was a sense of self hatred, but in the latest version that self hatred is magnified.
Margaret White s self harm in the original version seemed like a ploy to increase the fear of her
daughter. However, in Pierce s version anytime she is on screen in the new edition it raises her
undisclosed infatuation with self harm. In this film, it is apparent that a rape caused her unyielding
disgust of sex. This makes her mother less of an antagonist and more of a victim to sufferings rather
than a catalyst. At the beginning of the film, Margaret is in the midst of giving birth, completely alone,
and ignorant of how babies are made. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If she actually wanted to help, she could have spoken to her instead of convincing her boyfriend to be
Carrie s date to the prom. Sue could have welcomed Carrie into her inner circle and show the other
girls that Carrie isn t too bad after all. However, Sue decides to go behind her back to avoid being seen
with Carrie. The horrific massacre that takes place in both of the films could have been avoided if Sue
befriended Carrie. Which still makes the audience question whether Sue is doing this to be friendly or
if she is doing this to clear her guilty conscience. Consequently, this is the reason why Sue in Brian De
Palma s version is punished at the end of the film. After the massacre and Carrie White s death Sue is
left traumatized. In the closing scene, Sue is the only one to escape the burning school. She envisions
that she s placing flowers on the burnt out spot where Carrie s house stood. Unexpectedly, a bloody
hand reaches up through the ground and snatches her wrist. Sue wakes up screaming in her mother s
arms. Although Sue considered herself doing a good deed, she was still punished because her
intentions weren t as genuine as she would have liked to think. However, when Carrie White murders
Miss Collins, the only person that was nice to her, on the surface it seems a bit unnecessary. Carrie
White murders a lot of people in Brian De Palma s version that seems a bit excessive. The director

Cancer Screening
Care Services and Cancer Screenings
There are a wide variety of cancer types. They all have several things in common, however. Each
cancer starts with cells that become abnormal or cancerous. These cells reproduce and form a mass of
cancerous cells. This mass is called a tumor. When the cancerous cells spread, or metastasize, they can
impact other tissues, organs, and systems of the body. A second commonality among cancers is that
when they are detected early, they are easier to treat and the treatments are more likely to work. In
many cases, a cancer that is caught early can be completely destroyed.
The primary way to detect cancer is through cancer screenings. Screening are simply routine checks
that take place prior to body showing signs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The benefits far outweigh those risks, but it is still important to be informed. Some of the risks of
cancer screenings include false positive results that lead to great emotional turmoil and/or needless
treatment; false negative results, which give a person undue confidence in their health when they
actually have a serious condition; and actual damage to the body during the test, such a punctured
colon during a colonoscopy.
It is also important to remember that screenings can only detect cancer. They are not a cure, and even
if the cancer is detected, it does not mean that the cancer will always be eradicated. Early detections
does significantly increase the odds of success, however.
Senior care services can help your senior loved one keep up on their annual exams and schedule
screenings as necessary. Further, they are able to provide the transportation to and from appointments.
This is particularly important with screening such as a colonoscopy where anesthesia is used. Senior
care personnel can also be there to provide care for your loved one while they are recovering from
these procedures, as some can be quite

Secret Intelligence Service Failure
The Secret Intelligence Service was derived by the Secret Service Bureau which was founded in 1909.
The bureau was a joint initiative by the Admiralty (authority responsible for the command of the
Royal Navy in the UK until 1964) and the War Office (department of the British Government
responsible of the Army between the 1700 s 1964). MI6 was initially founded to oversee activities
being conducted by the Imperial German Government at the time.
MI6 didn t play a very big role throughout World War 1 because it could not establish a solid network
over German soil and due to this, most of the information was being supplied by the military.
After the Great War many of the country s resources had been depleted, however MI6 created a close
relationship with the diplomatic service (a service that provided authorized personnel a diplomatic
immunity so that they were allowed safe passage to other countries). This helped with building
networks in foreign countries.
With this, the Secret Intelligence Service began focusing on Communism , in particular, Russian
Bolshevism . A plan was made to overthrow the Bolshevik Government, and everything was in check
for who would lead after that, however all of a sudden, many Russian politicians were being murdered
and MI6 took the blame, so the operation ended up as a Failure.
During the inter war period, many other institutes were created thanks to the SIS. These included,

Mallard s Point Of View
A Mallard s Point of View In The Story of an hour by Kate Chopin, the use of third person limited
omniscient is significant to the story for three main reasons. First, if it were not for the narrator, the
reader would be unaware of many details which the characters themselves would likely have been
blind to. Second, the narrator uses words which set a tone as to how the reader should feel about
Louise Mallard and her situation. Third, had the narrator been completely omniscient, the reader
would have known about the ending, thereby spoiling the surprise. A Mallard s point of view, either
Louise s or Brently s, never would have given the reader the correct amount of information needed in
order for the story to have the impact that it does. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Chopin used words and details to set a tone as to how the reader should feel about Louise Mallard and
the situation she is in. Chopin described the physical exhaustion that haunted her body and how she
was pressed down from it. She wrote There stood, facing the open window, a comfortable, roomy
armchair; into this she sank, pressed down by a physical exhaustion that haunted her body and seemed
to reach into her soul (547). Without third person limited omniscient point of view, the reader would
not have been able to know or feel the pain that Louise was feeling. Chopin also describes how she
felt free because of her husband s death and how she has accepted it, she says, There would be no one
to live for her during those coming years; she would live for herself (547). This quote described how
free she felt as she would be able to live her own life. The details and words used by Chopin describe
the pain and the eventual acceptance of the death of her husband. If the story had been completely
omniscient the reader would have known about every detail. This would have spoiled the ending and
the surprise it caused as there would have been no reveal at the end. Someone was opening the front
door with a latchkey. It was brently Mallard who entered, a little travel stained, composedly carrying

Trading blows for blows, Yuri managed to hold her own against them. Managing to avoid each strike,
Yuri looked for an opening, trying to even her odds. Sabra used her vines once again, aiming them in
Yuri s direction. The vines entangled around Yuri s legs, dropping her to the ground. Malessica s body
remained coated with concrete, enlarging her fist on the downed opponent. Yuri rolled out of the way,
creating a blade to cut the vines off of her legs. Gaining some distance, she created an assault rifle,
aiming at Malessica. Firing away at her, Malessica formed another scutum style shield. Malessica
noticed the power of Yuri s aura increasing, seeing her shield crumbling by the second.

Who Is The Hero In Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Buffy The Vampire Slayer is a critically acclaimed masterpiece. One can see this in many ways
including how extended metaphors can be seen throughout Buffy. Buffy was and still continues to be
extremely popular. It aired from 1997 to 2003, having approximately 177 episodes, and airing for
seven seasons. Many episodes had different meanings. In the episode titled I Robot, You Jane it warns
of the dangers of catfishing without directly saying it, and in The Replacement it deals with split
personalities and how to deal with them. Hush s meaning dealt with the importance of communication.
Buffy Summers, the central character of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is portrayed as not only a hero but
as a princess in the hit TV show s episode Hush.
Buffy Summers is a princess not the typical ball gown and magical princess though. She is a princess
for a few reasons other than being related to royalty. In the show, Giles tells the gang the only way to
kill the monsters is a scream, later Buffy screams just like how in the story the princess screams. When
she screams she remembers how Mr. Giles was telling the story of how the princess screamed and
killed the monsters. The monsters hate noise which is why they take the voices of others and die ...

episode, and she returned the people s voices back to them, a goal she was set by herself and was also
set by Mr. Giles. She couldn t let the people stay without their voices and die so with help from Giles
and RIley, she saved the day. This connection to being a hero exists because one of the defining

C. J. Wilentz Surrogate Mother
In the matter of the C. J. Wilentz, ruling on the deamination and the fee for artificial insemination
were in conflicts with their current law and public policy of that State. Furthermore, that surrogate
would have the ability to the violation, which could affect the mother, for example besides being
illegal, criminal, and potentially degrading to women. Finally, the case granted custody to the natural
father, and the evidence introduced were such custody be best interests of the infant, and his final
ruling was he avoid both the termination of the surrogate mother s parental rights and the adoption of
the child by the wife and stepparent. Thus restoring the surrogate as the mother of the child, and the
court also remanded the issue of the natural mother s visitation rights to the trial court, since the issue

Various ethical issues which we see that needed addressing would be the following. The purpose and

Cheeto Lab Report
The energy released during combustion reactions goes into the surrounding atmosphere because the
energy does not disappear it simply goes into the atmosphere of a surrounding area. For example,
during the Cheeto experiment the fire being released is the energy but when the fire is out the rest of
that energy is moved onto its surrounding like people and the air. One observation that I made during
my experiment was when the mass of Cheeto was too big and when the Cheeto began to burn it
released its energy onto the can which heated the water inside and that also created energy because the
water releases steam and that goes into the air and the people around it. The fire being released wasn t
always as expected because if the Cheeto was too big ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The percentage error for both trials came to 79.6% and 85% so if only 20% of the energy was released
onto the can the rest of it was released into the atmosphere and its surrounding areas. As a result, the
amount of energy being released onto the can was short but the rest of energy eventually released at a
high percentage because the energy does not disappear, but the energy goes out to surrounding and the
air. Significantly, every calculation was taken accurately but the error percentage somehow proved
inaccurate because we used the equation Q=m*Cp*T to calculate how much energy was being
released by the sample and then we also used it calculate the Calories per gram which there we figured
out the changes within the experiment then when we subtracted the result and divided it by 6.4 then
times it by 100 it gives the amount of the percentage error to determine how much energy was
released and find out where it ended all up to be. In conclusion, the energy released during combustion
reaction goes to the air and everything else around the energy because due to the amount energy being
released it can tell us how much energy went missing and find out where it all went to determine the
error that went on during the

Abstract. This Paper Will Be Exploring The Debate On...
Abstract This paper will be exploring the debate on open carry on campuses. The paper covers
opinions from people that are for open carry and those who are against it. During the research process
I learned a lot of things that I didn t know prior to researching. Open carry is carrying a firearm openly
in public. This research paper helps shine light on the ongoing gun violence in our country, and how
the public feels about this issue. Introduction In recent years more and more Americans have been
appalled by the scene of so many gun loving individuals openly carrying a weapon, even though it is
legal in 42 states. California Illinois, Florida New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, Massachusetts,
and Minnesota, prohibit the openly carrying ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not only are citizens affected but also law enforcement. By having more people armed it could make
it more dangerous for the officer on a simple traffic violation, any person that was permitted to have a
gun can open fire on an officer and claim self defense. Although states with more flexible gun laws
have seen a drop in crime rate (Figure 1) according to pollingreport.com, as of October, 2015, 58% of
Americans (democrats and republicans) are pro gun, so changing or making new gun laws will have
huge impact on citizens and their way of living. Guns and School There have been 45 shootings at
schools so far this year; August 8 there was two shoot ings. As more shootings happen, people start to
realize that something should be done about gun control and the way guns are handled in a public,
especially a school, or even be allowed outside of the holders private property. Many students don t
like the idea of open carry or concealed carry, most students would feel uneasy and anxious at the
thought of a professor or a student car rying a weapon and being able to open fire at any moment. It is
argued that if students and pro fessors were allowed to carry a weapon on campus, in the event of a
shooting, the shooter would quickly be neutralized, saving many lives. This would however cause
conflict with students who are against guns, putting their lives in danger if

Maslows Hierarchy of Needs
1. Introduction
Each of us has our own set of needs that motivate our communication and our responses to messages.
While not everyone s priorities are identical, our needs resemble one another s (Steinberg, 2007:22).
This assignment will discuss Maslow s hierarchy of needs. It will look at real life examples of each
component. It will also identify and explain each component. An appropriate diagram will be given to
support my answers. At the end of this assignment one should have a full understanding of Maslow s
hierarchy of needs.
2. Explanation of Maslow s hierarchy of needs?
In 1958 a well known psychologist, Abraham Maslow (1908 1970), composed a motivational theory
called Maslow s hierarchy of needs . This theory suggests that when ... Show more content on

An example of social need would be an anorexic girl will ignore the need to eat as well as the security
of her health for a feeling of belonging and being accepted (Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs, 2008). The
need for belonging to a group and being accepted by her peers out ways her other needs on the
pyramid. Another example could be even though somebody does not smoke they will smoke at work
so they can be accepted into a group and feel like they belong.
2.4. Esteem
The fourth level on the hierarchy is the need of esteem. After a person has gained the sense of
belonging, the feeling of importance comes into play. One needs to feel successful in what one does as
well as receive public recognition for ones efforts. This need is the need to respect oneself and to be
respected by others (Steinberg, 2007: 23). Once the first three needs have been fulfilled, one looks at
the esteem needs, things such as personal worth, social respect and self achievements. One wants to
feel that they are worth something. The need to accomplish something becomes strong at this level. If
esteem is not addressed an inferiority complex and or depression will develop (Schop, 2009).
An example of esteem would be getting a promotion in your job. The promotion will impress your
colleges, friends and family. It will make them proud and give you a sense of superiority. You will feel
successful and others will gain more

Cv Accident Or Stroke Essay
CVA: Cerebrovascular accident or stroke
A CVA is a neurologic emergency that occurs when a blood vessel carrying oxygen and nutrients to
the brain is either blocked by a clot (ischemic stroke) or bursts (hemorrhagic stroke). A CVA may also
be referred to as a brain attack. As reported by Quick Reference to Occupational Therapy (2014), a
physical exam of the patient leads the physician to suspect a CVA and to gauge impairments on a
functional scale through confirmation from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed
tomography (CT), cerebral angiography, or electroencephalography (EEG). Blood tests for bleeding
and clotting disorders may also be performed. Cardiac monitoring may show atrial fibrillation or other
arrhythmias (Reed, 2014).
Etiology: There are 2 types of strokes: Hemorrhagic and Ischemic. A Hemorrhagic stroke is when a
brain aneurysm bursts or a weakened blood vessel leaks. According to the National Stroke Association
(2016), about 15% strokes are hemorrhagic strokes per year. It is the least common type of stroke, but
most often results in death 40% of the time. When a hemorrhagic stroke occurs, blood spills into or
around the brain, and creates swelling and pressure which then damages cells and tissue in the brain.
There are 2 types of hemorrhagic strokes: an intracerebral hemorrhage happens when a blood vessel in
the brain bursts and spills into the surrounding brain tissue, damaging brain cells. A subarachnoid
hemorrhage happens when an artery

  • 2. Andrew Jackson Indian Removeal Policy Essay Was Andrew Jackson s Indian Removal Policy Motivated by Humanitarian Impulses? Authors: Anthony F. C. Wallace, Robert V. Remini, A Summary By: History 2111 Summer 2011 A summary comparison of views regarding the Indian Removal Act of 1830, Was it an act of humanitarianism intended to help and save the Native American culture from the white settlers, as Robert V. Remini has argued? Or was his intent to destroy the tribal culture and to get rid of the Native Americans, as Anthony F.C Wallace has argued? Robert V. Remini argues that Andrew Jackson s Indian Removal Act of 1830 was socially motivated by humanitarian impulses, and that Jackson s actions where driven by the desire to save the culture and populace of the Native ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jackson s removal policy did not sit well with a lot of groups; many were uncomfortable about it but agreed it had to be done. President Jackson showed great leadership apart from everything else, and handled the Indian Removal act when no one else wanted to address the growing issue of Indian problem. Most government officials saw little to gain from addressing this and would do nothing. Some historians believe the president s motivation was clearly out of concern for the Indians customs, their culture and their language, but his first concern was the safety of the military, Indians occupying the east might jeopardize the defense of the United States. In December of 1830 President Jackson would submitted the Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek to congress, it would be the first to win Senate approval. President Jackson wanted everything to go smoothly so that the American people would see that he was humane and that this Treaty would benefit both the Indians and the American nation at large. With Jackson located too far away to oversee the actual removal of the Choctaw Nation, they would endure mismanagement, theft, corruption, and inefficiency on a level that would lead to their destruction. Jackson would be deeply offended and the removal of the Choctaw Nation would become one of the worse horror stories of modem era. Anthony F.C ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Advantages Of The African American Civil Rights Act Of 1965 The African American civil rights movement started in 1954, and although the civil rights act was signed in 1964, and was meant to prohibit discrimination in both public and private places, equality still wasn t present in many aspects of American life. African American s still didn t have equal voting rights, in order to protest against this, Freedom Summer workers registered people in Mississippi to vote, after this Martin Luther King launched a march for voting rights in Selma, Alabama in January, 1965. The voting act that was eventually passed gave the federal government the power to oversee voting in states where discrimination was practised, which was primarily in the south. In the mid 1960 s America was divided on the issue of civil rights. This was especially evident through the views in regards to the proposed voting rights act of 1965. The aim of the act was to overcome the legal barriers, such as unreasonable tests that were given to African American s when they tried to register for voting. The two approaches seen in the documents are one that is more legal and evidence based and therefore logical, this refers to document 2A, a statement by Attorney General Katzenbach. The other, document 2B, is a statement by Attorney General Button, is an approach that is far more emotional and passionate and thus somewhat biased. It is focused on the disadvantages for the individual state, as he is the Attorney General for the state of Virginia, therefore it is only ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Social Process Theories A social norm is a specified code of conduct that is acceptable within a society or group. These norms include both appropriate and inappropriate values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that are expected of individuals under given circumstances (Lewis, 1969). They are neither static nor universal as they keep on changing with time and vary with respect to culture, class and groups. There are two different types of social norms, namely behavioral or descriptive norms and attitudinal or injunctive norms. Descriptive norms are defined as actions and behaviors that are depicted by individuals in a social group setting. These norms are informal and originate from the day to day social interactions hence are neither enforced by the justice system nor other formal bodies (Cook, 2003).Behavioral norms attract no social sanctions for non conformity with the norms. Injunctive norms on the other hand are beliefs and expectations of how individuals or people should behave within a group setting under given situations. Individuals tend to conform to attitudinal norms out of fear of possible interdictions as a result of not following them. Dominant culture refers to the approved languages, culture, beliefs, values, and customs that are portrayed as for the general society. Dominant culture achieves dominion over other cultures through domination of the social institutions such as communication, education, art, politics, law and business.Dominant culture has played the role of judging ... A media conglomerate called Sinclaire and they started buying local news organizations. What occurred which is shown in this video is that they give forced memos that they have to read verbatim to all of the news outlets they own. The issue here is that when people watch the news, they do not know that the anchors are forced to say this. When they watch the news, they have no reason to doubt their trusted news source. • 8. Strengths And Weaknesses Of The Progressive Movement Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of progressivism. Prominent political reform movements focused on four main goals: making politics more effective, limiting the power of big business, ameliorating poverty, and promoting social justice. In the 1880s and 1890s, labor unions and farm radicals took the lead in critiquing the new industrial order and demanding change. Over time, more and more middle class and elite Americans also took up the call, eventually earning the name progressives. On the whole, middle class progressives proposed more limited measures than farmer and labor advocates did, but since they wielded more political clout, they often had greater success in winning passage of new laws. Thus, while their goals and tactics differed, both radicals and progressives played important roles in advancing reform (Henretta, p 598). Although historians call this era of political agitation and innovation the Progressive Era, no single group led the way. On the contrary, prominent reformers took opposing views on such questions as immigration policy, racial justice, women s rights, and imperialism. Most middle class progressives were initially hostile to the sweeping ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 9. What Is The Theme Of The Forge By Seamus Heaney The Man Behind The Door Into The Dark Seamus Heaney uniquely constructed his poem The Forge to tell a story of an inspired outcast scrutinizing a man while he conducts true art. This poem is not only about an outsider fantasizing about the unknown, but also about a blacksmith s every move and more. The audience is left questioning who is this mysterious blacksmith? and who even is this being of inspiration? After profound research was done, it was uncovered that the narrator is actually Heaney, and the blacksmith is his dexterous neighbor, Barney Devlin. Heaney s definitive word choice was significantly influenced by his young, budding mindset as a child, leading him to speak so strongly about someone that he hardly even knew. As the inspiration behind multiple works of Heaney, Barney Devlin was a local blacksmith and neighbor to the narrator. It is said by Vincent Hanley that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In The Forge, Heaney expounds Devlin, recalls a clatter / Of hoofs where traffic is flashing in rows; (Lines 11 12). Even supposing Heaney knows nothing true about the blacksmith s past, he uses his fanciful mentality to approach the audience with a realistic explanation of changes that have come with time. At this point, the world has changed dramatically, subsequent to the beginning of the blacksmith s career. There is not much reasoning for the blacksmith s work anymore, considering that the backbone of his business was the horseshoe. Now that time has brought upon cars, the red light outside his house is a daily reminder of what used to be. He recalls a time when the sound of hoofs could be heard from the forge. Heaney had not ever spoken to Devlin, yet knowing the facts of the past and the grunting sounds coming from the inside, Heaney was able to conceive some possible meaning for it ... Aboriginal Inequality Social Inequality with Canadian Aboriginals SOC 300 Dr. Kelly Train Milica Rados 500460778 Different ethnic backgrounds immigrate to Canada making it a very multicultural society. Immigrants coming to Canada have made it progress to a more multicultural society, making other nations believe that this is the case, however this does not include native societies that have been living in Canada for the longest period of time. The purpose of this paper is to analyze how Aboriginals live in Canada. This paper argues that aboriginals in Canada are not treated with the same equality as non aboriginals livening in Canada, even though Canada is known as a multicultural society. By studying the history of Aboriginal settlement in Canada ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They no longer get to own their land but at the same time they have to watch their land being taken over. Over time this sense of group, or community disappears. Generations can no longer teach younger generations about the importance of nature and therefore the history is slowly lost. Since they lost their history and their connection to the land a lot of other parts of their culture and their beliefs was taken away as well. The main issue faced was losing a sense of their culture. Canada being a multicultural society, allows for all people to practice their culture and they have the freedom to believe what they want. The aboriginals lost that right when their land was taken over. It was lost because they no longer owned their nature and it was taken over by technology and architecture, making them less united with the forest and the land that they lived in. By taking over the land they were also forced to have to change their education. In schools they were no longer allowed to learn Aboriginal culture. In 2002 by studying Canadian schools it was said that as many as 30 percent of elementary students and 40 percent of high school students did not speak even a little of their Native tongues (Schissel, 2002). The reason that this is the case can be because Aboriginal families stopped practicing their culture and heritage at home therefore distancing the children from understanding where they came from. That is not because they no longer ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is in William Shakespeare that the created individual (Hamlet), created out of that very space of meaninglessness, enters for the first time into a genuine conflictual relationship; the genuine in the sense that the opponents are equal of power. Prince Hamlet materializes as an individual who has a miserable and weak identity, this kind of complex identity has a sense of hopeless and out of health condition affected by the psychological problem. For example, when Hamlet pretends to be a weird person while he is reading the book and talking with Polonius sarcastically, he actually has that sense of weirdness outside and inside himself, but at the same time he is in full mental power that contradicts himself. So, even when he pretends that he is mad and foolish, they affect his psychology thus it seems to be true. The character of Hamlet would appear to be no character at all because a name cannot be found for it, or which is the same thing because too many can be found. That means that Hamlet identity has been wiped out as he is so singular, unspeakable person because he cannot find and present himself in one place whereas he has the power to do react and revenge directly but the hesitation prohibited him to any such action. He lived a good 71 years until his death in 399 BC. Although Socrates never wrote anything down, we still know quite a bit about him. Everything we know, we have learned through the writings of one of Socrates students, Plato. One very famous phenomenon we learn from Socrates is Socrates Socratic method. It essentially laid down the building blocks of Western logic and philosophy and it consists of five steps. The first step is to make a statement; the second is to then look for exceptions. The third step comes in two parts. It states that if an exception is found then the statement is either imprecise, or flat out false. Further comes step four that says that if the statement is imprecise then to revise it. Finally step five is to repeat. A lot of people were not Socrates biggest fans, which leads us to the charges and trial of Socrates. He was put into trial for being impious and corrupting the youth. Although some may argue that Socrates was an evil, unjust person that led a bad life and was a troublemaker, I affirm that Socrates led a good and honorable life due to his great wisdom in admitting that he knows nothing. His awareness of his own ignorance makes him an admirable person. To begin with, Socrates was quite the character. There are many things which can influence a test s validity, such as: how the content relates to the construct being measured; rater response processes, item relationships within the scales; as well as external variables (Cohen Swerdlik, 2009). Validity includes measurements of criterion related validity which encompasses both predictive validity and concurrent validity. These serve to show validity in the area of prediction (Cohen Swerdlik, 2009). Further, convergent validity is utilized to establish a relational validity when more than two assessments are used through showing a convergence which proves each is measuring the same construct (Cohen Swerdlik, 2009). Proficiency in the different methods of testing with respect to the technical aspect of assessment is a requirement of administering and analyzing an assessment competently (Krishnamurthy et al., 2004). In order to effectively select and implement psychological testing, one must have a thorough understanding of the intended purpose of the assessment and further, how to decipher the results (Cohen Swerdlik, 2009). Sociology pertains to societies throughout time, being defined as the study of development, structure, and functioning of human societies. Anthropology is defined as the study of human societies and cultures and their development. These three fields of study work to explain behavior and its causes. As popular cultural practices and followings come and go, it is best to use reliable scientific means to attempt to explain the seemingly ridiculous behaviors of those who partake in particular pop culture habits. • 33. Cheeto Lab Report The energy released during combustion reactions goes into the surrounding atmosphere because the energy does not disappear it simply goes into the atmosphere of a surrounding area. For example, during the Cheeto experiment the fire being released is the energy but when the fire is out the rest of that energy is moved onto its surrounding like people and the air. One observation that I made during my experiment was when the mass of Cheeto was too big and when the Cheeto began to burn it released its energy onto the can which heated the water inside and that also created energy because the water releases steam and that goes into the air and the people around it. The fire being released wasn t always as expected because if the Cheeto was too big ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The percentage error for both trials came to 79.6% and 85% so if only 20% of the energy was released onto the can the rest of it was released into the atmosphere and its surrounding areas. As a result, the amount of energy being released onto the can was short but the rest of energy eventually released at a high percentage because the energy does not disappear, but the energy goes out to surrounding and the air. Significantly, every calculation was taken accurately but the error percentage somehow proved inaccurate because we used the equation Q=m*Cp*T to calculate how much energy was being released by the sample and then we also used it calculate the Calories per gram which there we figured out the changes within the experiment then when we subtracted the result and divided it by 6.4 then times it by 100 it gives the amount of the percentage error to determine how much energy was released and find out where it ended all up to be. In conclusion, the energy released during combustion reaction goes to the air and everything else around the energy because due to the amount energy being released it can tell us how much energy went missing and find out where it all went to determine the error that went on during the ... • 34. Abstract. This Paper Will Be Exploring The Debate On... Abstract This paper will be exploring the debate on open carry on campuses. The paper covers opinions from people that are for open carry and those who are against it. During the research process I learned a lot of things that I didn t know prior to researching. Open carry is carrying a firearm openly in public. This research paper helps shine light on the ongoing gun violence in our country, and how the public feels about this issue. Introduction In recent years more and more Americans have been appalled by the scene of so many gun loving individuals openly carrying a weapon, even though it is legal in 42 states. California Illinois, Florida New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, Massachusetts, and Minnesota, prohibit the openly carrying ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Not only are citizens affected but also law enforcement. By having more people armed it could make it more dangerous for the officer on a simple traffic violation, any person that was permitted to have a gun can open fire on an officer and claim self defense. Although states with more flexible gun laws have seen a drop in crime rate (Figure 1) according to pollingreport.com, as of October, 2015, 58% of Americans (democrats and republicans) are pro gun, so changing or making new gun laws will have huge impact on citizens and their way of living. Guns and School There have been 45 shootings at schools so far this year; August 8 there was two shoot ings. As more shootings happen, people start to realize that something should be done about gun control and the way guns are handled in a public, especially a school, or even be allowed outside of the holders private property. Many students don t like the idea of open carry or concealed carry, most students would feel uneasy and anxious at the thought of a professor or a student car rying a weapon and being able to open fire at any moment. It is argued that if students and pro fessors were allowed to carry a weapon on campus, in the event of a shooting, the shooter would quickly be neutralized, saving many lives. This would however cause conflict with students who are against guns, putting their lives in danger if ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Maslows Hierarchy of Needs 1. Introduction Each of us has our own set of needs that motivate our communication and our responses to messages. While not everyone s priorities are identical, our needs resemble one another s (Steinberg, 2007:22). This assignment will discuss Maslow s hierarchy of needs. It will look at real life examples of each component. It will also identify and explain each component. An appropriate diagram will be given to support my answers. At the end of this assignment one should have a full understanding of Maslow s hierarchy of needs. 2. Explanation of Maslow s hierarchy of needs? In 1958 a well known psychologist, Abraham Maslow (1908 1970), composed a motivational theory called Maslow s hierarchy of needs . This theory suggests that when ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An example of social need would be an anorexic girl will ignore the need to eat as well as the security of her health for a feeling of belonging and being accepted (Maslow s Hierarchy of Needs, 2008). The need for belonging to a group and being accepted by her peers out ways her other needs on the pyramid. Another example could be even though somebody does not smoke they will smoke at work so they can be accepted into a group and feel like they belong. 2.4. Esteem The fourth level on the hierarchy is the need of esteem. After a person has gained the sense of belonging, the feeling of importance comes into play. One needs to feel successful in what one does as well as receive public recognition for ones efforts. This need is the need to respect oneself and to be respected by others (Steinberg, 2007: 23). Once the first three needs have been fulfilled, one looks at the esteem needs, things such as personal worth, social respect and self achievements. One wants to feel that they are worth something. The need to accomplish something becomes strong at this level. If esteem is not addressed an inferiority complex and or depression will develop (Schop, 2009). An example of esteem would be getting a promotion in your job. The promotion will impress your colleges, friends and family. It will make them proud and give you a sense of superiority. You will feel successful and others will gain more ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Cv Accident Or Stroke Essay CVA: Cerebrovascular accident or stroke A CVA is a neurologic emergency that occurs when a blood vessel carrying oxygen and nutrients to the brain is either blocked by a clot (ischemic stroke) or bursts (hemorrhagic stroke). A CVA may also be referred to as a brain attack. As reported by Quick Reference to Occupational Therapy (2014), a physical exam of the patient leads the physician to suspect a CVA and to gauge impairments on a functional scale through confirmation from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), cerebral angiography, or electroencephalography (EEG). Blood tests for bleeding and clotting disorders may also be performed. Cardiac monitoring may show atrial fibrillation or other arrhythmias (Reed, 2014). Etiology: There are 2 types of strokes: Hemorrhagic and Ischemic. A Hemorrhagic stroke is when a brain aneurysm bursts or a weakened blood vessel leaks. According to the National Stroke Association (2016), about 15% strokes are hemorrhagic strokes per year. It is the least common type of stroke, but most often results in death 40% of the time. When a hemorrhagic stroke occurs, blood spills into or around the brain, and creates swelling and pressure which then damages cells and tissue in the brain. There are 2 types of hemorrhagic strokes: an intracerebral hemorrhage happens when a blood vessel in the brain bursts and spills into the surrounding brain tissue, damaging brain cells. A subarachnoid hemorrhage happens when an artery ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
