16.2 Describe the main phases involved database design.
Database design is made up of three main phases: logical and physical database design.
Conceptual database design: the process of constructing a model of the data used in an enterprise,
independent of all physical consideration. It begin with creating conceptual data model for the
enterprise that is entirely independent of implementation details.
Logical database design is the process of constructing a model of the data used in a company
based on a specific data model, but independent of a particular DBMS and other physical
considerations.
In the logical database design phase we build the logical representation of the database, which
includes identification of the important entities and relationships, and then translate this
representation to a set of tables. The logical data model is a source of information for the physical
design phase, providing the physical database designer with a vehicle for making tradeoffs that are
very important to the design of an efficient database.
Physical database design is the process of producing a description of the implementation of the
database on secondary storage; it describes the base tables, file organizations, and indexes used to
achieve efficient access to the data, and any

Factors Influencing The Factor Analysis
Factor analysis According to Maria Eva, the factor analysis is a technique in the statistics to
observe variability in the correlated variables in terms of lowers number of unobserved variables,
which is necessary for factorization (Maria Eva, 2012). Dehak, Kenn, Dehak, Dumouchel, Ouellet,
further stated that, the factor analysisis useful technique to investigate the relationship between the
variables in complex concepts and the main purpose of the factor analysis is to reduce the number
of variables associated with the measure and to detect the structures of the relationship between the
variables (Dehak, Kenn, Dehak, Dumouchel, Ouellet, 2011) .
The application of factor analysis widely used in social research (Steinfeld, Navon, Creech,
Yakhini, Tsalenko, 2014). The current study employs factor analysis to reduce the items in the
questionnaire for data reduction as per the recommendations of In addition, the factor analysis is
used to construct the factor based on the items in the scale (Wang Ahmed, 2004). Hence, the factor
analysis is used for data reduction and structuring the variables. Factor analysis has two types as
discussed below, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis (Costello Osborne, 2005).
Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) Costello Osborne, (2005) said that, factor analysis is used to
uncover the structure of relatively large set of variables in the data(Costello Osborne, 2005). EFA
identifies the underlying relationship between the

The Problem Of Eating Disorder Recovery
Maria and Katy Campbell were 11 years old when they overheard their father say to their mother,
Gosh, those girls are becoming young women, aren t they? They re getting hips. Devastated by
the seemingly normal remark a father would make of his preteen daughters, the twins made a pact
that night to help each other lose their hips , and lose their hips they did. For the 22 years that
would follow both women would advance their education to receive their doctorate degrees, and try
to live somewhat normal lives all while weighing less than 84 pounds and suffering in and out of
eating disorder recovery clinics. At 33, both women are hopeful that they will someday recover;

Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder distinguished by its psychological, physiological,
developmental, and social components. The disorder is characterized by binge eating shortly
followed by harmful compensatory behaviors, such as abuse of laxatives, diuretics or enemas,
stimulants, vomiting, fasting, or excessive exercise. This is known as the Binge Purge Cycle .
Unlike anorexia nervosa, those with bulimia nervosa fall within a normal or slightly overweight
weight range and usually perform their eating disordered behaviors in secret due to the severe
feelings of shame and disgust which accompany the binge purge cycle. Due to the intensity of the
combined mental and physical assault bulimia has on the body, complications of bulimia can stay
with a patient long after recovery is achieved. Such complications include, but are not limited to:
Decaying tooth enamel (tooth rot) due to the stomach acid constantly eroding the protective
layering on the teeth; those who have suffered from this eating disorder for more than seven years
(the average time of recovery for those with bulimia nervosa) have a great likelihood of rupturing

The US Trial System Essay
When one thinks of trials a lot of questions come to mind. What is a trial? What is involved in a
trial? Who are the participants in a trial? Of all the participants how do they all contribute to the
trial, what are their duties? What are the aspects of a trial and how do the aspects affect the
fairness of the trial. How does our constitution contribute to a trial and how does it create fairness
to the system? Within the body of this paper I will educate the reader on the trial system and
answer any questions a person may have on the subject. I will use the research I have done to
educate the reader on trials, the fairness of trials, and how I feel that trials can be made fairer.

personal interpretations of the law. His powers will be shared with the jury. The jury or jurors are
randomly drawn from the court s geographical area typically from voter and motor vehicle
registration lists to evaluate evidence during trials and render verdicts. Jurors decide, according to
the evidence, whether the defendant is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of the charged crime.
Jurors are not supposed to decide legal questions, such as what evidence is admissible. And
jurors usually do not decide what sentence the defendant should receive in case of a conviction,
except in capital punishment cases. It is increasingly common for judges to involve jurors in the

questions. After reviewing the jurors proposed questions with attorneys from both sides, the
judge decides which questions (if any) to ask. Most cases don t involve juries. Juries are not

Aeromedical Evacuations In The Korean War
In every war or conflict, both sides of the engagement experience causalities. One of the basic
skills of any Soldier is to render aid to their injured battle buddies and to never leave a fallen
comrade. Even with the medical equipment Soldiers or medics carry with them sometimes the aid
they can render is not suitable for the types of injures the casualty has sustained. The Army needed
a way to quickly get their wounded from the battlefield or field treatment facility to an established
medical treatment facility so that they can receive treatment more appropriate for their injuries.
Thus enters the medical evacuation, more specifically aeromedical evacuation. The feasibility and

Human Nature In The Workplace Environment
Human Nature How has the workplace environment treated people? Has it been life changing to
know the day will be amazing or to feel as though working like a dog and getting nowhere?
Every human must go to work to make money and provide for their family. If not, they will not
live a happy, successful life. Their kids will be miserable as they may not have the luxury of
clean clothes and food to feed their infinite hunger. Millions of people have jobs, but may not
feel valued or excited to go to them. They may feel overworked and undervalued with no
purpose, or may not have a strong support system in their workplace. Human nature can both
positively and negatively affect the workplace environment. Supervisors are very important
towards the workplace environment. Without them, workers may slack off and not get the job
done as efficiently as needed. To be a well liked supervisor, they need to care and understand
their employees. If a supervisor acts like a robot and just gives orders, the employees will not
respect them as much as if they cared and asked them how their day is going and what they can
do to help. This will give workers a feeling of comfort while at the job. The supervisors also need
to recognize the hard work that is completed by the employees. This will make workers feel
valued and purposeful. If people are not recognized for the hard work, it can cause dissatisfaction
within their career and make them feel like they are doing immense amounts of

A Study On Oral History Assignment
Oral History Assignment For this assignment, I had chosen to interview my uncle, Atif. He is 43
years old, married with four children, and currently resides in the Greater Toronto Area. He was
born in Karachi, Pakistan where he lived in an extended family with his parents, brothers sisters,
grandparents, aunts, uncles, and their kids. He had moved to Canada on October 26th 1990, by
himself, to fulfill his undergraduate degree at the University of Manitoba in Computer Science
and Math. He is now working at CGI as a Professional IT Manager. He describes himself as
introverted, responsible, independent, hard working, driven, logical and analytical. This is evident
throughout his interview, as he had a very analytical approach on observing advertisements. While
Atif was growing up back in Pakistan, advertisingwas a lot less relevant because of where he was,
who he was and how he interacted with the media. Firstly, there was only one channel that ran on
TV from 5pm until 11pm. Though, only on Sundays, the channel started from early mornings.
There were no 24 hour broadcasts. Very select commercials appeared on TV, that too mostly for
necessity items. One that he remembers fondly is a commercial for toothpaste. What attracted Atif
about this commercial was its catchy jingle. Mclain s Toothpaste! Did you Mclain your teeth
today? The kids then would chant back Twice a day, every day! Atif, still to this day, with radiant
smile on his face, could not forget the memorable

The Role Of The Hero In Paradise Lost
Critics abroad have argued about who the hero is of John Milton s Paradise Lost: Satan, Adam
or Christ, the Son? Since Milton s overall theme stated in the opening lines of Book I is to relate
Man s first disobedience and to justify the ways of God to men , Adam must be regarded as the
main hero. John M. Steadman supports this view in an essay on Paradise Lost: It is Adam s action
which constitutes the argument of the epic. Steadman continues: The Son and Satan embody
heroic archetypes and that, through the interplay of the infernal and celestial strategies, Milton
represents Satan s plot against man and Christ s resolution to save him as heroic enterprises.
Christ and Satan are therefore epic machines. (268 272) Although Satan may be an epic
machine, he is best portrayed as the tragic anti hero of Paradise Lost or, at the very least, a main
character who possesses the stature and attributes which enable him to achieve tragic status. In
the Greek tradition, the essential components of tragedy are admiration, fear and pity for the
hero , who has to display a tragic weakness or flaw in his character, which will lead to his
downfall. It might be argued that the flaws in Satan s character are such that we should feel no
admiration, fear or pity for him, yet he can be seen to inspire these emotions. Satan s tragic flaws
are pointed out in Book I. They are envy, pride, and ambition towards self glorification. Satan s
pride, in particular, is stressed throughout

Spinach Dotss Lab Report
This figure shows the difference among the average speeds at which the spinach dots raised every
minute when they photosynthesized under light with 4 different wavelengths respectively in 7
minutes. The goal of the experience was to explore how the wavelength of light could impact the
speed of photosynthesis. It was hypothesized that comparing to spinach dots under white light, the
dots under red light and blue light would raise slightly slower, and the dots under green light would
not raise up. In this experiment, the independent variable was the color(wavelength) of the light,
and the dependent variable was the speed at which the spinach dots raised. The comparative group
was the group with white light. For each trial of the experiment, 20 spinach dots which were

by the playwright to promote the importance to family through his providing of companionship

confidant of Vanya who talks, eats, and grew up with him. Sonia, by valuing appearances,
contributes to the theme of vanity of appearances and it is made obvious through her appearance

By choosing a boyfriend that is immature, she promotes Chekov s theme of Mismatched lovers
Fourthly, Spike serves as a protagonist who causes grief for, betrays, and tempts Masha to sell

due to the restrictions women had during that time period. Her piece, Das Jahr depicts the months

21). The political aspects do not preclude the International Court of Justice from addressing the
request from the UN General Assembly since they aren t concerned with the reasons or opinion
consequences behind the request. It is to the discretion of the ICJ to give the advisory opinion
requested or not, but they do have the jurisdiction. The ICJ can t refuse to address the legality of
the question due to whatever political aspects are presented.
While it was proved that the ICJ has jurisdiction in the case presented, they don t necessarily have
to practice the jurisdiction. The Court has recalled many times in the past that Article 65,
paragraph 1, of its Statute, which provides that The Court may give an advisory opinion... , should
be interpreted to mean that the Court has a discretionary power to decline to give an advisory
opinion even if the conditions of jurisdiction are met (Advisory Opinion pp. 16 17). In other words,
with regards to defending the consistency of the International Court of Justice, the ICJ has the
decision whether to address an advisory opinion request or not. The validity in the case presented
was reflected upon if the independence declaration was in accordance with general international
law. In assessing whether or not the declaration of independence is in accordance with international
law, the Court must be free to examine the entire record and decide for itself whether that

Plutonium s Odd State and Missing Magnetism
Marc Janoschek (http://www.lanl.gov/discover/news stories archive/2014/November/janoschek
wolfram prandl prize.php) of the Los Alamos Lab says that, on the atomic level, each atom of a
metal has a set number of electrons that orbit the nucleus that never changes. This set number of
electrons is referred to as the metal in its ground state . The neutrons and electrons both have a
magnetic field that creates an opportunity for the atom to be aligned in another magnetic field.
However, when plutonium s ground state was first measured, it was found that its ground state
could consist of four, five, or six electrons. There was no constant amount of electrons in its
unaltered, fixed ground state. Plutonium fluctuates between three different ground states while also
simultaneously being in all three states at the same time. The basis for this theory was first
imagined at Rutgers University in 2007, but thanks to Janoschek and his team, it has been proven
correct. The reason to plutonium s missing magnetism has been

Understanding the Infrastructure Industry and How it is...
The main objective behind this study of is to understand how the Infrastructure industry functions
and how infrastructure is essential for the growth of any nation. The factors which necessitated a
study to be conducted as to how the industry functions and how the said firms are conducting
their businesses in this largely unorganized sector are as follows To demonstrate two of the
dominating players of this industry and their rivals. To find existing competition in this
industry around the world. Comparison between the companies regarding their market share,
acceptability and popularity. To find consumer perception towards these companies from
various companies available to them. To write a well presented paper by being focused,
consistent and original thus providing enough evidence to make our argument or theory
convincing 3.2 Limitations The research was entirely carried out with the sources of secondary
data. Some of the data may be unreliable due to passage of time and therefore making the results
defective. Accuracy of the data is not assured. Since the data is secondary in nature, it may be
vague in nature and therefore may not be of much help in decision making. The companies
publishing the data may be biased in their approach and hence unreliable. Lack of prior research
studies on the topic citing prior research studies forms the basis of your literature review and helps

accurately just through personality tests. My personality may seem a bit spontaneous at times,
but it is usually stable. I see myself as an angry person who just wants things to work out in the

How To Write A Persuasive Essay On Distracted Driving
In today s society, our moble devices have become our pirmary means of communication. While
there have been many positive results from this improved technology, it has also created one
very dangerous situation, distracted driving. Distracted driving has always been a problem with
people changing radio stations, eating and drinking while driving, or simply looking at people
walking down the street instead of keeping their eyes on the road. Texting and driving has
created a far worse situation than any of these common distractions. Many laws have already
been put in place to help curb this issue, but none of them have been very successful thus far. The
question is: Is it time to enact laws against texting and driving as tough as drinking and driving
laws? It used to be when you saw a driver weaving back and forth, crossing double yellow lines or
driving erratically, you assumed they were intoxicated. Nowadays, when you see any of these
occurences, your first thought is, I bet they re texting and driving. The problem is so epidemic that

I believe it is time to start enacting similar laws for texting and driving to slow down the current
trend and start protecting innocent people from their irresponsible act. Current advertising
campaigns have not proven to be effective enough, therefore it is time for the public to ask their
state legislators to begin work on tougher laws. Too many lives and families have been destroyed
by someone texting and driving. Before I or anyone else has to endure this type of tragedy, it is
time to put tougher laws in place. In my opinion, I believe that anyone that is ticketed for texting
and driving should automatically lose their license for a minimum of six months to a year and
attend a driver improvement class. Any repeat offenders should receive stiffer penalties similar to

Therefore, 30 students from the University of the Ozarks located in Clarksville, Arkansas, were
selected to participate in the study. The ages of the students ranged between 18 and 25 years. In
order to conduct this study, a control group and an experimental group were created consisting of
15 members each. The first group was the experimental group where the participants were required

At the end of the 24 hour period, the students recorded the amount of time they actually used their
smartphone according to the Moment app. This procedure was performed for two days. At the end
of the second day, these students completed the post test. The post test consisted of three questions
based on the Likert Scale. The first question asked whether their estimations matched those of the
app; the second question asked whether they were surprised with the results; the last one,
questioned their likeliness of changing their cellphone use. The control group, on the other hand,
only completed a pre test consisting of a two question survey, which asked the students whether
they were aware of the time they spent on their smartphones and whether they were likely to change
the amount of time spent on their smartphones.
Results
Control Group A total of 30 students participated in the study, 15 downloaded the Moment app and
15 only estimated the amount of time spent on smartphones. Both groups obtained interesting
results. Firstly, the results of the study showed that people in the experimental group estimated
using their iPhone less than the students in the control group. Correspondingly, as observed in

Is A Dream Lost In The American Dream
A Dream Lost?
America is often thought to be the land of opportunity, where dreams come true, where people
leave behind their old lives running from corruption, poverty, famine, or could just simply be
looking for greater opportunity. Is this really what America is today, do these dreams still really
exist in the common folk who wish to make something come true, make the American Dream
come true. In the poem I, too sing America by Langston Hughes the people of story express how
they are living in the shadows of others, how their looked over in society. America too has lost its
luster of hope and the reputation that held behind the name America . In Let America be America
Again Langston Hughes again demonstrates how America has lost its luster where he says, Let
America be the dream dreamers dreamed. In this quote Langton Hughes tells us how America
has changed, that it s different from when the first dreamers created the land of dreams that
America once was. The American dream is a something that is highly based on perspective, from
the perspective of a second class citizen named Walter Lee from A Raisin in the Sun, a play by
Lorraine Hansberry Walter cries, All of it, it s all gone.... In this Walter just learned that the money
he had received from his father s death was stolen. He had been wanting the money to try to invest
and make something of himself, for himself, for his family, but all that is lost in the blink of an eye.

Attenuated Vaccination
A common alternative to the live attenuated vaccinations are inactivated, or killed, vaccines.
Inactivated vaccines are produced by growing the virus in a medium and then inactivating it with
heat and/or a chemical. Since the virus is inactivated, it is unable to cause infection, even in patients
that suffer from immunodeficiency. Inactivated viruses are faced with limitations, however. Only
viral vaccines containing the whole virusare available in this form, which includes; influenza; polio;
rabies; and hepatitis A (Figure 3). The inactivated vaccinations also must be administered in
multiple doses, as the first dose does not produce protective antibodies, but only primes the immune

The Main Contemporary Issue faced by Manager with the expansion of Technology
Introduction
In many industries, superior technology integration the approach used to choose and refine the
technologies employed in a new product, process, or service is the key to achieving superior
productivity and speed, and superior products. Access to great research is still immensely
important, but if a company selects technologies that don t work well together, it can end up with a
product that is hard to manufacture, is late getting to market, and does not fulfill its envisioned
purpose.
Technology integration has become much more important and challenging for obvious reasons. The

These developments, along with many others, are changing the nature of management. A networked
company is a different kind of company, but most managers do not yet appreciate the difference.
Even the special edition of the HBR shows a strange lag in perception. It lists scores of its
influential articles and classics . Most have no direct, and little indirect, connection with IT. The
exceptions include, in the early mainframe era, managing to manage the computer , an
understandable concern in 1996. In 1974, the horizons had expanded: now readers were told about
managing the four stages of EDP growth .
That must have failed. In 1979, the crisis in data processing needed to be tackled. Five years
later, the frontiers of the Brave New World were at last crossed. The problems of managing the
machines receded into the past as managers were told that IT changes the way you compete. So it
does. Then why have so few influential classics covered IT s revolutionary impact since 1984?
Has even Harvard run behind the pace of the revolution, and the realities of what we call Silicon
Management ?
Merely to stay in business, IT companies, in Silicon Valley and elsewhere, have been forced to take
the lead in developing brand new managerial concepts. As Business Week enthused: With their
flatter, more democratic organisations, giant talent pools, enormous web of interlocking
relationships among companies, super speed and can do

An Ideal Desensitizing Agent As A Agent
Gluma desensitizer : In 1935, Grossman addressed the requirements for an ideal desensitizing agent

without staining the tooth surface. There are many dentin sensitising agents available which
includes oxalates products, calcium phosphate desensitizers; 5% NaF varnish; Glutaraldehyde
HEMA; Gluma,HEMA + other products, NaF; SnF2; light cured adhesives; glass ionomer cements;

D) PREPARATION In order to be well prepared for a case studypresentation, it is crucial to
familiarize with the case and its context individually. To fully understand the case, it must be
read several times while emphasizing different key elements. Taking notes while reading the
case can also increase productivity, which would make the preparation process more efficient.
By reading the case several times and taking notes, students will get a full understanding on the
problems discussed in the case as well as the people or key players involved in the case. It is also
important to research the company for which you are presenting the case for, which would allow
you to back up your presentation with facts and realistic action plans. Use of visual tools during
the preparation, such as graphs and charts, will also help get ideas across more efficiently to the
audience. Lastly, it is important to focus on the objective and goal of the company in order to come
up with an action plan, which can be implemented to attain the company s objectives.

The Beauty Myth By Naomi Wolf
The Beauty Myth, written by Naomi Wolf, is a study of how ideas of beauty oppress and restrict
women from fully realising their potential. Published in 1990, many of the battles of second wave
feminism had been won, which left many women in Wolf s position confused as to why women
were still struggling. Wolf argues that as women have shed traditional values of purity and
submission, they have instead become obsessed with the beauty myth. The more legal and material
hindrances which women have broken through, the more strictly and heavily and gruelling images
of female beauty have come to weigh upon us (Wolf 1990). As women have gained power and
freedom, society has instead forced them to waste their new found freedom and resources on...

Wolf argues that women as a whole could achieve much more personally, and further the causes of
feminism politically, if they were not so preoccupied with the obsession of their attractiveness, their
youth, and their ability to remain thin.
Another key element of Wolf s work is her focus on the deliberate and pervasive harm that women
are suffering due to the beauty myth. This included the increased rates and severity of eating
disorders and strict dieting, which inhibits women s strength both physically and mentally. Dieting
is the most potent political sedative in women s history; a quietly mad population is a tractable
one (Wolf 1990). Starvation inhibits the brain from thinking of anything other than one s one
survival, and therefore food, and this is a state that significant proportions of modern women exist
in. Eating disorders can also lead to other mental and physical health issues, reducing women s
abilities to succeed in the outside world, all because they are too good at what society is
pressuring them to do. Another key way in which Wolf sees the physical harm of the beauty myth
is in cosmetic surgery. The United States cosmetic surgical industry was worth $300 million when
Wolf first published this book in 1991,

Benefits Of Free Babysitting On My Home For Parent ( S )
Introduction I decided that I would like to offer free babysitting in my home for parent(s) that
needs a few hours for a job interview, doctor s appointment or have an emergency. I have been
searching around for an organization to go through, but none exist where I live. There were
some you have to go to their place of work, which I understand but I have no transportation to go
that far. So I decided to do this alone. I started on this assignment on week two of July. I started
volunteering to babysit children from age 5 to 8 years old. I started the portion of my painting
assignment this week. One week is to babysit five kids. They looked like controlled little angels.
I started small in this volunteer assignment. I volunteer to babysit a couple of kids for free.
Some couples don t have money for babysitters or extended family nearby. Some school systems
are so attuned to their supervisory, child care function that they offer after school play groups at
a normal fee to take care of children until a parent gets off work and can take the child home (pg.

was babysitting the children, they always wanted to be around me always following me. And
one of the five kids drew me three sun s on loose leaf paper. I was observed while babysitting
when the children and I were making cupcakes. Having the babysit these five kids most afternoons,

logical and persuasive argument that we both understood. We also decided who would speak which

Keren is a necrophiliac, she used to work in a morgue. Instead of delivering the bodies to the
cemetery she decided to have fun with the corpse and later she was caught by police. Inside the
casket, police found a four and a half letter confessing what Karen has done with forty dead men.
In the letter she also states Why do I do it? Why? Why? Fear of love, relationships. No romance
ever hurt like this ... It s the pits. I m a morgue rat. This is my rat hole, perhaps my grave.
(Morton) She was interviewed and asked question to her, why did she do it, what did you do
with the corpse, what are you attracted the most and when did she started doing it. Karen did
get fired from the morgue. She answered everything she was asked with great detail. She was
sentenced eleven days in jail, a two hundred dollars fine and two years of probation with medical
treatment. Karen states that she had a fear of love. She developed necrophilia because of fear.
Fear is a very strong emotion that can stop a person from doing what they want. She seeks
comfort in dead men, the corpses just lay on the bed or table and hear what she is says without being

Effects Of Anti Babesia Vaccine On The Livestock Industry
4. Discussion Babesia has a worldwide economic importance due to the enormous losses it
causes for the livestock industry. A subunit antigen attracted the attention for the development of
anti Babesia vaccine (Brown et al., 2006). In this respect, HSPs have emerged as prospective
immunostimulatory components for vaccine development (Suto and Srivastava, 1995; Suzue
and Young, 1996; Zugel and Kaufmann, 1999). Therefore, we investigated the characterization
of a member of the HSP 70 family from B. bigemina. The sequence of BbigHSP 70 was found in
the genome sequence database of B. bigemina through the blast search with homologue
sequences of B. bovis and B. gibsoni. The sequence of BbigHSP 70 from the Argentina strain
was identified by sequencing. Gene has 2 copies in most apicomplexan, but we did not analyze
the copy number in B. bigemina; this will be done in a future study. Phylogenetic analysis of the
amino acid sequence showed that all intraerythrocytic protozoan parasites, including Plasmodium
spp., make one group located outside the paraphyletic group containing eumycetes and
vertebrates. Since the HSP 70 of the parasites and hosts do not seem to be closely related, they
likely evolved separately. The H SP 70 of Babesia, Theileria and Plasmodium seem to be closely
related; therefore, the function of HSP 70 might be similar among these parasites. Jie et al. (1996)
suggested that HSP 70 perform functions critical to the survival of B. microti parasites. As described

Nuclear Power And Nuclear Energy Essay
When clean and renewable sources of energy are discussed, the focus is usually centered around
energy productions like solar and wind. But an important source of energy is often overlooked,
nuclear energy. The viability of nuclear power plants has been a topic of debate since their
inception, with many both for and against it. Many countries are broadly opposed to nuclear energy
with poor public opinion resulting in the decommissioning of nuclear powerplants in their country.
With the potential dangers of nuclear energy and the historical disasters that have accompanied it,
many are resistant to continuing its development. For my paper I will be addressing why even with
historical catastrophes, forgoing nuclear energy would be a mistake.
In comparing different forms of energy, a comparison must be made between nuclear and coal. It is
already widely known that the burning of coal in factories has a negative impact on the
environment and is one of, if not the most, destructive. But what is not widely known is that coal
plants emit more radiation into the environment than nuclear power plants. In fact, coal plants
release 100 times more radiation than nuclear power plants (Hvistendahl). This is because within
coal are trace amounts of the two radioactive elements uranium and thorium. When coal is burned it
produces fly ash, which concentrates the uranium and thorium at up to 10 times their original levels
(Hvistendahl).
But the negatives of coal don t need to be addressed

Athletes Heart Rate Lab Report
Purpose: The purpose of this experiment is to determine whether athletes or non athletes will
recover faster in a span of 10 minutes from an increased heart rate after running one lap around the
track.
Extra Research: To determine what a subject s heart rate should be after exercising, the target heart
rate zone was discovered through research. The target heart rate zone can be determined by
calculating 50% 85% of the subject s maximum heart rate, which is their age subtracted from 220
BPM.
Hypothesis: If five athletes and five non athletes run one lap around the high school track, the heart
rate of the athletes will recover faster because their heart rate will resemble their resting heart rate
more after 10 minutes, in comparison to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The majority of the experiment was testing the numerical value of heart rate, so there was very little
qualitative results. However, as each participant was running they each experienced being flushed
and elevated breathing which are qualitative results.
Quantitative:
In total the average heart rate percentage change was 16.94% for athletes and 11.72% for non
athletes. They all ran the same amount, one lap around the school s track.
Analysis, Discussion, and Conclusion: The purpose of this experiment was to determine whether
athletes or non athletes would experience a high percent change in heart rate after having
experienced a raised heart rate, caused by running one lap around the high school track. The agreed
upon hypothesis was that the five subjects in the athletes category would recover faster, in
comparison to the non athlete category, due to the fact that the athletes hearts are more frequently
exposed to elevated heart rates. After examining the collected data, it was determined that the
hypothesis was refuted, given that the average percent change of the athletes was +16.94%, which
is 5.22% greater than the average percent change of non athletes, as shown in CHART #3

Scientific Predictions Are Not Always Accurate And Helpful
Forecast, as the Oxford Advanced Learner s Dictionary defined, is a statement about what will
happen in the future, based on the information that is available now . A scientific one is making
forecast by a scientific method, which is defined by Merriam Webster Collegiate Dictionary as:
principles and procedures for the systematic pursuit of knowledge involving the recognition and
formulation of a problem, the collection of data through observation and experiment, and the
formulation and testing of hypotheses
Nowadays scientific forecasts, like weather forecasts, have become common in people s daily life.
Some of them, because of their accurate prediction, have brought great helpfulness and
convenience. However, there is a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The goal of establishing a complete system of modern science may be achieved one day, but
requires a large amount of money and people s endeavour.
In addition, there are limitations in existing theories, which are widely accepted nowadays.
Because of the development of human society, theories which we thought were accurate will turn
out to be wrong. For instance, Aristotle (B.C.384 B.C.322) claimed that heavier things fall faster
than lighter ones. This claim was thought to be right as it fit the common knowledge of people
living in those time periods. And interestingly, people used this law to forecast free falling things
without ever doubting of it until Galileo Galilei (1564 1642) did his famous experiment to prove
that actually free falling things, however heavy they are, share the same pace. Therefore, it is likely
that theories which we accepted today will turn out to be wrong in the future. And to the future
generation, the forecasts made based on these theories might not be accurate.
Secondly, inaccuracy also comes from the process of calculation involved in forecasting. There is
no doubt that a forecast should be made before the event happens. Therefore, there is a time limit
for the calculation process of a scientific forecast. But most forecasts need a significant amount of
complex calculation, which may not be able to be totally calculated in

Land Destruction By Tourist Attractions
Land Destruction by Tourist Attraction Beaches are used as a tourist attraction. Coral reefs are
an example of marine life endangered by this idea. Though coral reefs are beautiful to view,
boats on top of the coral can destroy and hit the reefs. This is a big problem because coral reefs
are home to millions of marine life. According to the book, Destroying the Oceans, coral reefs
are home to one quarter of Earth s marine animals and plants . With that, many habits are also
destroyed. Sea turtles are not only affected by pollution, but they are also affected by tourist
attraction. On September 5 in Costa Rica, a group of tourists prevented sea turtles from nesting
along the coastline. The sea turtles are protected by the Ostional Wildlife Refuge. Due to the high
volume of tourists of that day, the refuge was unable to prevent the disaster from happening.
Some tourists touched the turtles, others stood on top of the nests, and parents placed their
children on top of the turtles to take photographs (L. Arias). Human beings need to learn how to
respect animals. Global Warming Due to our mass pollution to the atmosphere, humans are the
main cause of global warming. Since the beginning of the 1900s, the average surface temperature
of Earth has risen by 1.3 degrees Fahrenheit (Levete). Global warming leads to temperature
change. Iceberg and glaciers are melting at a rapid rate. This will cause sea level to rise. The
Greenland and Antarctica ice sheets lost an average of

Trip To Mars Could Damage Astronaut s Brain
Have you ever thought how great it would be to go to space, well if so, you should think again. If
we do get the technology to go to space, it could lead to brain dangerous for the astronauts who go
to space, that due to the radiation particles in the space atmosphere. We should not spend valuable
resources on space exploration.
To begin, it is really dangerous for the astronauts. In Trip To Mars Could Damage Astronaut s
Brain it states that in space atmosphere there are dangerous particles that could damage the brain.
This is significant because the astronauts are going to be in space for a long time, which that can
lead to the brain damage, and they could suffer from it for the rest of their lives. In Danger! This
Mission to Mars Could Bore You to Death it states that the astronaut that are on the mission to
Mars, could get get bored to point to die. This is important because boredom can lead to death, and
the astronaut might forget a step or misread the gauge.

An Article On The Internet
Anonymous is a network of hackers who have eyes and ears all over the Internet. Its very creepy,
they have their technological hands in everything, and quietly lurk, evaluating the problems
presented by communities and weighing in. Every once in a while we hear from them and their
opinion. They merge into a single entity, kind of how we talk about the Internet. It s a collection of
things but this collection makes it into a person, or a thing. They usually come into the light when
gross violations of life laws are evident. Usually its censorship, something that is majorly important
to the online community. For example this group held a nationwide peace protest across major
cities in India, to send a message to the Indian government, halting major activities and turning the
worlds internet eyes on them as a form of pressure.
They also hate general shitty humans. In October, of 2012 this same infiltrated and knocked some
40 child pornography Web sites offline. The group also said it published the names of visitors to
one of the sites. The list, Anonymous said, is fair game for authorities to use in cases against
illegal child pornography sites and their visitors. Heres what they said:
If the FBI, Interpol, or other law enforcement agency should happen to come across this list, please
use it to investigate and bring justice to the people listed here,
Cool huh? Knocking down these perverts and handing them on a silver platter to the police right?
But see, if we look at it

Principles of diversity, equality and inclusion in adult social care settings
Understand the importance of diversity, equality and inclusion
What is Equality?
Equality is about making sure people are treated fairly and given fair chances. Equality is not about
treating everyone in the same way, but it recognises that their needs are met in different ways.
Equality focuses on those areas covered by the law, namely the key areas of race, gender, disability,
religion or belief, sexual orientation, transgender and Age.
People must not be unfairly discriminated against because of any of these factors and we must all
contribute to creating a positive workplace and service delivery environment where discriminatory

Essential Standards
CQC has set 28 essential standards of quality and safety ( outcomes ) which GP practices must
comply with.
The essential standards are set out in the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009
and the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010.
Of the 28 outcomes, there are 16 core outcomes which relate to the quality and safety of patient
care.
When you apply for registration, you may be compliant with most, but not all, 28 standards. CQC
states that this is acceptable providing there is no risk to patients.
When you register with CQC you will make an initial declaration of compliance (or non
compliance) in respect of the 16 core outcomes, but are not required to submit

Smart Enough Women
In part I of the psychology in media project I reviewed the article Why Young Girls Don t Think
They are Smart Enough written by Sarah Jane Leslie and Andrei Cimpain. The authors of this
article explored the psychological research they conducted along with Lin Bian which is aimed at
discovering the underlying cause for the disparities between men and women across academic
disciplines. In the media article published in the New York Timesthe authors concluded that
stereotypesare mainly to blame for these disparities. They also noted that these social stereotypes
start affecting girls as young as the age of six, and that the shift in thought is drastic. In a more
formal report which they published in Science Magazine, through a set of... Show more content on

The writers do also state alternatives for the results of studies one to four, among them that boys
are held back which may inflate confidence and women s modesty norms. They also give reason
for why these alternatives are not possible. The writers omit writing about the alternatives all
together in the media article. All in all, I believe that both works are very well written informative
pieces. Both are concise, easy to read, and very get to the point. The main difference is that the
media article pushes a call to action by stating suggesting methods in which we can change how this
brilliance=males stereotype is affecting young girls. This is definitely an understandable difference
due to the fact that the media article is directed towards the general public, while the science
journal is mostly directed towards the scientific community. I believe that the writers did a fantastic
job in the NY times article, however I believe that the article would have benefitted from using more
real life anecdotes to show the extent to which this brilliance=males stereotype can affect women.
Altogether, I strongly agree with both the media article and the scientific journal, something has to
be done about this

Essay on Whistle Blower and the Allegory of the Cave
The Life of a Whistle Blower Since the 1960s, the public value of whistle blowing has been
increasingly recognized. Whistle blowing statutes protect from discharge or discrimination an
employee who has initiated an investigation of an employer s activities or who has otherwise
cooperated with a regulatory agency in carrying out an inquiry or the enforcement of regulations.
Many states have enacted whistle blower statutes, but these statutes vary widely in coverage. Some
statutes apply only to public employees, some apply to both public and private employees, and
others apply to public contractors. Under the federal False Claims Act, any person with knowledge
of false claims or fraud against the institution may bring a lawsuit in his or... Show more content on

As a fast food eater, we are chained in the darkness of the cave and we do not want to accept the
reality of how negative fast food has on us. To the back of the prisoners, lie the puppeteers who
are casting the shadows on the wall, which the prisoners perceive as reality. The puppeteers are
the marketing team of the fast food industry. They utilize many different marketing strategies to
reel in customers. For example, the puppeteers targets children as their marketing strategy. The
kids would nag and whine to their parents to go get that Happy Meal from McDonald s because
of that toy. These kids continue to be prisoners of fast food, lifetime purchasers of McDonald s.
As Socrates described the cave and the situation of the prisoners, he conveys the point that the
prisoners would be fundamentally mistaken as to what is reality. Because we know that the
puppeteers behind them are using objects to liken the shadow. We all know that McDonald s is
not good for our health, but those that have kids continue to go to McDonald s at least once
every now and then because their child nagged about wanting to go there. Fast Food Nation could
definitely be analyzed in the context of Plato s The Allegory of the Cave . In the movie, Michael
Clayton, a law firm brings in its fixer by the name of Michael to remedy the situation after a
lawyer, Arthur, has a breakdown

After scrutinizing the available information one is led to think otherwise. No amount of
Spokane River fish can be safely eaten. The fish themselves are not safe. Toxic and poisonous
chemicals such as mercury, arsenic, lead and PCB s (polychlorinated biphenyl) have been found
in the tissues and bones of all fish studied in the Spokane River. The fish s food sources and even
the beach sand along the riverbank have been found to contain harmful levels of these chemicals.
Studies on the effects of PCB s on human memory loss and learning disabilities have been
conducted by four universities around Lake Michigan over a 9 year period showing a direct link
between PCB levels in adults and their lower scores on learning tests. People who eat a certain
amount of either commercially available fish or sports fish have sometimes as high as four times in
parts per million the amounts of mercury and lead that the FDA would approve. The sources of
these pollutants are industrial waste and some naturally occurring elements. Mining in Idaho has

Differences Between The Bodhisattva In The Davis Museum
Another more obvious difference between the Bodhisattva in the Davis Museum is the coloring of
each. Unfortunately, time has worn away most of the paint on these heads, but the left Bodhisattva
shows more remnants of the original painting, including a small wavy mustache. Red paint can
still be seen in the headdress, the urna and the lines of the neck. Both heads have dark paint
outlining the eyebrows and the eyes, offering the viewer a look into Gandharan culture. One can
see the hair was once painted black based on the left Bodhisattvas hair which still contains some of
the dark pigment. While most of the paint has worn away, the naturalistic sculpting style allows
the life of the Bodhisattvas to remain intact without the added color. The sculptures appear

The stucco heads are examples of the novel art that was formed when art from different countries
was allowed to influence each other. This is visibly illustrated by the Davis Museum placing the
Gandharan heads between the South Asian and Mediterranean exhibits, symbolizing the mixing of
the various art forms. While the informational cards about the Bodhisattvas are helpful tools, they
must be taken with a grain of salt. Whatever is printed on the informational cards must be
questioned and analyzed instead of believed to be the truth. The museum controls the informational
cards and thus, controls the narrative that the audience will learn about each piece. Nonetheless, it
is critical to be curious about the circumstances surrounding museums and their collections so in the
future, such questionable practices won t be tolerated and important cultural pieces will no longer

A design methodologyis a structured approach that uses procedures, techniques, tools, and documentation aids to support and facilitate the process of design. 16.2 Describe the main phases involved database design. Database design is made up of three main phases: logical and physical database design. Conceptual database design: the process of constructing a model of the data used in an enterprise, independent of all physical consideration. It begin with creating conceptual data model for the enterprise that is entirely independent of implementation details. Logical database design is the process of constructing a model of the data used in a company based on a specific data model, but independent of a particular DBMS and other physical considerations. In the logical database design phase we build the logical representation of the database, which includes identification of the important entities and relationships, and then translate this representation to a set of tables. The logical data model is a source of information for the physical design phase, providing the physical database designer with a vehicle for making tradeoffs that are very important to the design of an efficient database. Physical database design is the process of producing a description of the implementation of the database on secondary storage; it describes the base tables, file organizations, and indexes used to achieve efficient access to the data, and any ... • 4. Factors Influencing The Factor Analysis Factor analysis According to Maria Eva, the factor analysis is a technique in the statistics to observe variability in the correlated variables in terms of lowers number of unobserved variables, which is necessary for factorization (Maria Eva, 2012). Dehak, Kenn, Dehak, Dumouchel, Ouellet, further stated that, the factor analysisis useful technique to investigate the relationship between the variables in complex concepts and the main purpose of the factor analysis is to reduce the number of variables associated with the measure and to detect the structures of the relationship between the variables (Dehak, Kenn, Dehak, Dumouchel, Ouellet, 2011) . The application of factor analysis widely used in social research (Steinfeld, Navon, Creech, Yakhini, Tsalenko, 2014). The current study employs factor analysis to reduce the items in the questionnaire for data reduction as per the recommendations of In addition, the factor analysis is used to construct the factor based on the items in the scale (Wang Ahmed, 2004). Hence, the factor analysis is used for data reduction and structuring the variables. Factor analysis has two types as discussed below, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis (Costello Osborne, 2005). Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) Costello Osborne, (2005) said that, factor analysis is used to uncover the structure of relatively large set of variables in the data(Costello Osborne, 2005). EFA identifies the underlying relationship between the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder distinguished by its psychological, physiological, developmental, and social components. The disorder is characterized by binge eating shortly followed by harmful compensatory behaviors, such as abuse of laxatives, diuretics or enemas, stimulants, vomiting, fasting, or excessive exercise. This is known as the Binge Purge Cycle . Unlike anorexia nervosa, those with bulimia nervosa fall within a normal or slightly overweight weight range and usually perform their eating disordered behaviors in secret due to the severe feelings of shame and disgust which accompany the binge purge cycle. Due to the intensity of the combined mental and physical assault bulimia has on the body, complications of bulimia can stay with a patient long after recovery is achieved. Such complications include, but are not limited to: Decaying tooth enamel (tooth rot) due to the stomach acid constantly eroding the protective layering on the teeth; those who have suffered from this eating disorder for more than seven years (the average time of recovery for those with bulimia nervosa) have a great likelihood of rupturing either their stomach or ... His powers will be shared with the jury. The jury or jurors are randomly drawn from the court s geographical area typically from voter and motor vehicle registration lists to evaluate evidence during trials and render verdicts. Jurors decide, according to the evidence, whether the defendant is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of the charged crime. Jurors are not supposed to decide legal questions, such as what evidence is admissible. And jurors usually do not decide what sentence the defendant should receive in case of a conviction, except in capital punishment cases. It is increasingly common for judges to involve jurors in the questioning of witnesses. Before excusing witnesses, many judges invite jurors to submit written questions. After reviewing the jurors proposed questions with attorneys from both sides, the judge decides which questions (if any) to ask. Most cases don t involve juries. • 8. Aeromedical Evacuations In The Korean War In every war or conflict, both sides of the engagement experience causalities. One of the basic skills of any Soldier is to render aid to their injured battle buddies and to never leave a fallen comrade. Even with the medical equipment Soldiers or medics carry with them sometimes the aid they can render is not suitable for the types of injures the casualty has sustained. The Army needed a way to quickly get their wounded from the battlefield or field treatment facility to an established medical treatment facility so that they can receive treatment more appropriate for their injuries. Thus enters the medical evacuation, more specifically aeromedical evacuation. The feasibility and full advantages of aeromedical evacuation by high performance,... • 9. Human Nature In The Workplace Environment Human Nature How has the workplace environment treated people? Has it been life changing to know the day will be amazing or to feel as though working like a dog and getting nowhere? Every human must go to work to make money and provide for their family. If not, they will not live a happy, successful life. Their kids will be miserable as they may not have the luxury of clean clothes and food to feed their infinite hunger. Millions of people have jobs, but may not feel valued or excited to go to them. They may feel overworked and undervalued with no purpose, or may not have a strong support system in their workplace. Human nature can both positively and negatively affect the workplace environment. Supervisors are very important towards the workplace environment. Without them, workers may slack off and not get the job done as efficiently as needed. To be a well liked supervisor, they need to care and understand their employees. If a supervisor acts like a robot and just gives orders, the employees will not respect them as much as if they cared and asked them how their day is going and what they can do to help. This will give workers a feeling of comfort while at the job. The supervisors also need to recognize the hard work that is completed by the employees. This will make workers feel valued and purposeful. If people are not recognized for the hard work, it can cause dissatisfaction within their career and make them feel like they are doing immense amounts of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. A Study On Oral History Assignment Oral History Assignment For this assignment, I had chosen to interview my uncle, Atif. He is 43 years old, married with four children, and currently resides in the Greater Toronto Area. He was born in Karachi, Pakistan where he lived in an extended family with his parents, brothers sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and their kids. He had moved to Canada on October 26th 1990, by himself, to fulfill his undergraduate degree at the University of Manitoba in Computer Science and Math. He is now working at CGI as a Professional IT Manager. He describes himself as introverted, responsible, independent, hard working, driven, logical and analytical. This is evident throughout his interview, as he had a very analytical approach on observing advertisements. While Atif was growing up back in Pakistan, advertisingwas a lot less relevant because of where he was, who he was and how he interacted with the media. Firstly, there was only one channel that ran on TV from 5pm until 11pm. Though, only on Sundays, the channel started from early mornings. There were no 24 hour broadcasts. Very select commercials appeared on TV, that too mostly for necessity items. One that he remembers fondly is a commercial for toothpaste. What attracted Atif about this commercial was its catchy jingle. Mclain s Toothpaste! Did you Mclain your teeth today? The kids then would chant back Twice a day, every day! • 11. The Role Of The Hero In Paradise Lost Critics abroad have argued about who the hero is of John Milton s Paradise Lost: Satan, Adam or Christ, the Son? Since Milton s overall theme stated in the opening lines of Book I is to relate Man s first disobedience and to justify the ways of God to men , Adam must be regarded as the main hero. John M. Steadman supports this view in an essay on Paradise Lost: It is Adam s action which constitutes the argument of the epic. Steadman continues: The Son and Satan embody heroic archetypes and that, through the interplay of the infernal and celestial strategies, Milton represents Satan s plot against man and Christ s resolution to save him as heroic enterprises. Christ and Satan are therefore epic machines. (268 272) Although Satan may be an epic machine, he is best portrayed as the tragic anti hero of Paradise Lost or, at the very least, a main character who possesses the stature and attributes which enable him to achieve tragic status. In the Greek tradition, the essential components of tragedy are admiration, fear and pity for the hero , who has to display a tragic weakness or flaw in his character, which will lead to his downfall. It might be argued that the flaws in Satan s character are such that we should feel no admiration, fear or pity for him, yet he can be seen to inspire these emotions. Satan s tragic flaws are pointed out in Book I. They are envy, pride, and ambition towards self glorification. Satan s pride, in particular, is stressed throughout ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It was hypothesized that comparing to spinach dots under white light, the dots under red light and blue light would raise slightly slower, and the dots under green light would not raise up. In this experiment, the independent variable was the color(wavelength) of the light, and the dependent variable was the speed at which the spinach dots raised. Even though the leading paragraph of Article 96 allows for an advisory opinion to be requested when it comes to any legal question, the ICJ has sometimes in the past given certain indications as to the relationship between the question which is the subject of a request for an advisory opinion and the activities of the General Assembly (Advisory Opinion p. 14). This set number of electrons is referred to as the metal in its ground state . The neutrons and electrons both have a magnetic field that creates an opportunity for the atom to be aligned in another magnetic field. However, when plutonium s ground state was first measured, it was found that its ground state could consist of four, five, or six electrons. There was no constant amount of electrons in its unaltered, fixed ground state. Plutonium fluctuates between three different ground states while also simultaneously being in all three states at the same time. By reading the case several times and taking notes, students will get a full understanding on the problems discussed in the case as well as the people or key players involved in the case. It is also important to research the company for which you are presenting the case for, which would allow you to back up your presentation with facts and realistic action plans. Use of visual tools during the preparation, such as graphs and charts, will also help get ideas across more efficiently to the audience. Lastly, it is important to focus on the objective and goal of the company in order to come up with an action plan, which can be implemented to attain the company s objectives. • 36. The Beauty Myth By Naomi Wolf The Beauty Myth, written by Naomi Wolf, is a study of how ideas of beauty oppress and restrict women from fully realising their potential. Published in 1990, many of the battles of second wave feminism had been won, which left many women in Wolf s position confused as to why women were still struggling. Wolf argues that as women have shed traditional values of purity and submission, they have instead become obsessed with the beauty myth. The more legal and material hindrances which women have broken through, the more strictly and heavily and gruelling images of female beauty have come to weigh upon us (Wolf 1990). As women have gained power and freedom, society has instead forced them to waste their new found freedom and resources on... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Wolf argues that women as a whole could achieve much more personally, and further the causes of feminism politically, if they were not so preoccupied with the obsession of their attractiveness, their youth, and their ability to remain thin. Another key element of Wolf s work is her focus on the deliberate and pervasive harm that women are suffering due to the beauty myth. This included the increased rates and severity of eating disorders and strict dieting, which inhibits women s strength both physically and mentally. Dieting is the most potent political sedative in women s history; a quietly mad population is a tractable one (Wolf 1990). Starvation inhibits the brain from thinking of anything other than one s one survival, and therefore food, and this is a state that significant proportions of modern women exist in. Eating disorders can also lead to other mental and physical health issues, reducing women s abilities to succeed in the outside world, all because they are too good at what society is pressuring them to do. Another key way in which Wolf sees the physical harm of the beauty myth is in cosmetic surgery. The United States cosmetic surgical industry was worth $300 million when Wolf first published this book in 1991, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Benefits Of Free Babysitting On My Home For Parent ( S ) Introduction I decided that I would like to offer free babysitting in my home for parent(s) that needs a few hours for a job interview, doctor s appointment or have an emergency. I have been searching around for an organization to go through, but none exist where I live. There were some you have to go to their place of work, which I understand but I have no transportation to go that far. So I decided to do this alone. I started on this assignment on week two of July. I started volunteering to babysit children from age 5 to 8 years old. I started the portion of my painting assignment this week. One week is to babysit five kids. They looked like controlled little angels. I started small in this volunteer assignment. I volunteer to babysit a couple of kids for free. Some couples don t have money for babysitters or extended family nearby. Some school systems are so attuned to their supervisory, child care function that they offer after school play groups at a normal fee to take care of children until a parent gets off work and can take the child home (pg. 435). What was observed during this experience? I observed a lot from this experience. When I was babysitting the children, they always wanted to be around me always following me. And one of the five kids drew me three sun s on loose leaf paper. I was observed while babysitting when the children and I were making cupcakes. We started with the board point that everyone know driving under the influence is dangerous and then narrowed by adding how many people get multiple DUI and finally the consequences of driving under the influence. In this way, we had a logical and persuasive argument that we both understood. We also decided who would speak which parts on Friday which meant that we both knew what was happening and had time to practice and prepare. I thought extensively about what to do for my rebuttal and I guessed that my opposition would bring up that taking away a person s driver s license would take away their livelihood and I knew I would be able to rebut this with statistics. However, I also wanted to make a more lasting impression than that. By making everyone stand up and display my statistic my goal was to make the issue more real to them and really allow them to see what I was saying. Saying numbers normally make a lasting impression on people, but showing them that point in a visual form will. I was rather proud of that. A subunit antigen attracted the attention for the development of anti Babesia vaccine (Brown et al., 2006). In this respect, HSPs have emerged as prospective immunostimulatory components for vaccine development (Suto and Srivastava, 1995; Suzue and Young, 1996; Zugel and Kaufmann, 1999). Therefore, we investigated the characterization of a member of the HSP 70 family from B. bigemina. The sequence of BbigHSP 70 was found in the genome sequence database of B. bigemina through the blast search with homologue sequences of B. bovis and B. gibsoni. The sequence of BbigHSP 70 from the Argentina strain was identified by sequencing. Gene has 2 copies in most apicomplexan, but we did not analyze the copy number in B. bigemina; this will be done in a future study. But an important source of energy is often overlooked, nuclear energy. The viability of nuclear power plants has been a topic of debate since their inception, with many both for and against it. Many countries are broadly opposed to nuclear energy with poor public opinion resulting in the decommissioning of nuclear powerplants in their country. With the potential dangers of nuclear energy and the historical disasters that have accompanied it, many are resistant to continuing its development. For my paper I will be addressing why even with historical catastrophes, forgoing nuclear energy would be a mistake. In comparing different forms of energy, a comparison must be made between nuclear and coal. It is already widely known that the burning of coal in factories has a negative impact on the environment and is one of, if not the most, destructive. But what is not widely known is that coal plants emit more radiation into the environment than nuclear power plants. In fact, coal plants release 100 times more radiation than nuclear power plants (Hvistendahl). This is because within coal are trace amounts of the two radioactive elements uranium and thorium. When coal is burned it produces fly ash, which concentrates the uranium and thorium at up to 10 times their original levels (Hvistendahl). But the negatives of coal don t need to be addressed ... Scientific Predictions Are Not Always Accurate And Helpful Forecast, as the Oxford Advanced Learner s Dictionary defined, is a statement about what will happen in the future, based on the information that is available now . A scientific one is making forecast by a scientific method, which is defined by Merriam Webster Collegiate Dictionary as: principles and procedures for the systematic pursuit of knowledge involving the recognition and formulation of a problem, the collection of data through observation and experiment, and the formulation and testing of hypotheses Nowadays scientific forecasts, like weather forecasts, have become common in people s daily life. The goal of establishing a complete system of modern science may be achieved one day, but requires a large amount of money and people s endeavour. In addition, there are limitations in existing theories, which are widely accepted nowadays. Because of the development of human society, theories which we thought were accurate will turn out to be wrong. For instance, Aristotle (B.C.384 B.C.322) claimed that heavier things fall faster than lighter ones. This claim was thought to be right as it fit the common knowledge of people living in those time periods. And interestingly, people used this law to forecast free falling things without ever doubting of it until Galileo Galilei (1564 1642) did his famous experiment to prove that actually free falling things, however heavy they are, share the same pace. Therefore, it is likely that theories which we accepted today will turn out to be wrong in the future. And to the future generation, the forecasts made based on these theories might not be accurate. Secondly, inaccuracy also comes from the process of calculation involved in forecasting. There is no doubt that a forecast should be made before the event happens. Therefore, there is a time limit for the calculation process of a scientific forecast. But most forecasts need a significant amount of complex calculation, which may not be able to be totally calculated in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
