A balanced literacy program is a necessity for a child s education. The program should include
multiple instructional activities being consistently implemented in the classroom. The National
Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) determined, 37% of fourth graders
read below basic level and much higher in minority groups. (INSERT CITATION) More than 60%
of African American and Latino children are below grade level. A variety of instructional activities
are needed to teach children to read effectively. Each of the activities play a necessary role, but can
not stand alone when teaching children to read. These activities include: phonemic awareness,
phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. (CITE INFORMATION)
Effective teachers use balanced literacy instruction in their classroom, teachers see the results in
their children s ability to effectively read. In a study conducted by the National Reading Research
Center supervisors were asked to select their highly effective teachers to be surveyed about their
literacy programs in their classrooms. The 89 teachers reported integrating explicit skills instruction
and opportunities to read and write whole, authentic texts (INSERT CITATION). The teachers
consistently reported using authentic lessons. The lessons were modeled, guided explanations;
follow up mini lessons, and assessments. Lessons were taught using a variety of instructional
methods including: whole group, small groups, and

Abstract: In wireless sensor network, sensor nodes have limited power back up. So, the main
issue is to increase the network lifetime. The multi chain concept in PEGASIS and sink mobility
increases the network lifetime in wireless sensor network. In this research paper, we have
proposed a revised multi chain PEGASIS protocol by revising the position of the mobile sink to
maximize the network lifetime. The simulation is done in MATLAB R2008a and results are
compared with MIEEPB (Mobile sink improved energy efficient PEGASIS based routing protocol).
Also, we have simulated revised multi chain PEGASIS according to standard assumptions and
results are shown satisfactory.
Keywords: multi chain PEGASIS, revised MIEEPB, sink mobility, energy efficient
1.Introduction
In many application areas, the wireless sensor network must be able to operate for long periods
of time, and the energy consumption of both individual sensor nodes and the sensor network as a
whole is most important. Thus energy consumption is an important issue for wireless sensor
networks. Figure 1 shows the architecture of wireless sensor network. It consists of one sink node

6. Restaurant Seasonality Essay
Seasonality of the Restaurant Industry: Friend or Foe? The restaurant industry can be a fickle
friend. Business trends directly with the economy and is linked with a dizzying amount of other
factors, enough to make any manager go crazy. Yet at the same time the industry is lucrative and
therefore enticing. The industry has been a contributing factor in the slow recovery from economic
recession and is showing growth in sales (Stensson, 2011). Specifically, the fast foodindustry if
projected to grow at a slightly higher rate of 3.3% over that of the full service industry at 3.1%
(Stensson, 2011). With expanding sales comes higher demand and restaurant jobs are estimated to
rise by 1.3 million positions by 2021 (Stensson, 2011).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Funding the tourist season faculty can be fickle as well. Many restaurants that rely on snow or sun
for the tourist crowd must close down in the off season while still paying the fixed costs associated
with restaurant ownership like rent and utilities (Brumback, 2000). Though tourism in the U.S. is
on the rise in 2011 and 2012 it has a direct link to weather trends and when $1 of every $3 spent in
the restaurant industry, according to the National Restaurant Association, is tourism related the
reliance on weather can be huge (Elan, 2011). Obviously restaurants have been able to weather
the seasons of food service seasonality. It is not a new topic but a continuous challenge which
must be addressed, met, and overcome. But how? Over the years owners and managers alike
have tried several angles in combating seasonal lulls and drops in business. There are five basic
areas that seem to have the most success: seasonal marketing, seasonal menus, seasonal posturing,
using holidays or seasonal peaks as targeting opportunity, and brand or business loyalty. When a
corporation recognizes where the seasonal weak points in business are during the year it can use
promotions and strategic marketing to even out inconsistencies in sales. Seasonal menus can be
twofold assets due to current customer demands as well as cheaper cost of production. Seasonal
posturing refers to being prepared for high and low seasons by managing staff size and raw

7. Media Violence And Its Effects
Media violence exposure has been investigated as a risk factor for aggression behavior for years.
The impact of exposure to violence in the media the long term development and short term
development of aggressive behavior has been documented. Aggression is caused by several factors,
of which media violenceis one. Research investigating the effects of media violence in conjunction
with other predictors of aggressionsuch as; environmental factors and dysfunction within the
family household, is needed in order to better understand its contribution to aggressive behavior.
Furthermore, the debate of whether or not how media violence leads to aggression has received
renewed attention following tragic events; Sandy Hook, Umpqua Community College in
Kosenburg, Oregon, 2012 Aurora shooting, traumatic news coverage, a 8 year old boy
intentionally shot and killed elderly caregiver and countless other events; all of these casualties
were caused by media violence. Media violence can be a murder simulator; by teaching and guiding
how to commit aggressive and violent crimes. Aggression is usually defined by behavioral
scientists as behavior that is intended to harm another person. Common forms of aggression are
physical (for example, punching), verbal (for example, saying or writing hurtful things to another
person), and relational (for example, intentionally and publicly not inviting someone to a social
function to harm their social relationships). Violence usually is

8. State Control Of Alcohol Distribution
State control of alcohol distribution is just one of many benevolent government formulations that in
the end does more harm than good to the people of Pennsylvania. In their naГЇve, paternalistic
attempt to defend moral virtues and to protect people from themselves, our state government
continues to ridicule the American ideals of free market competition and individual liberty.
Consumers should have the ability to purchase any variant of alcohol that private stores are
willing to sell at the market price at any time. Private stores should be able to compete freely to
sell alcohol to customers, selecting their own hours and enforcing their own rules on the sale of
alcohol at their discretion.
At long last, these free market principles appear to have once again taken hold in Harrisburg, as a
bill is in place in the Pennsylvania Legislature that would privatize liquor sales in the state. In order
to encourage the Pennsylvania Senate to act on the bill (the House passed it earlier in 2015), I
submit this essay, wherein we will discuss both the pros and cons of privatizing liquor sales in
Pennsylvania. By examining the major arguments for (such as the blossoming of new business
opportunities see Wegman s bistro that serves alcohol) and the arguments against (such as worries
that unfettered access to alcohol will lead to public health crises, and thus more taxes and debt for
taxpayers) liquor privatization, I hope to elucidate the rhetoric employed by both sides of one

9. Angela Carter s The Bloody Chamber
Angela Carter s highly feminist anthology of short stories The Bloody Chamber 1979 challenges
the patriarchal society s view on women. As a libertarian feminist Carter presents the ideals of the
second wave of feminism and the notion that in order for society to progress, women must cast
away the restraints placed upon them by society and reclaim authoritative qualities that are deemed
masculine and unsightly for women to possess. Traditionally fairy tales present females as timid
and cute but essentially helpless (Bertens.H(2001)) Carter addresses this by portraying the doomed
eponymous Snow Child as the epitome of femininity, who adopts a silent and passive persona
which reflects the qualities endorsed by antiquated British etiquette,... Show more content on

10. Student Writers And Experienced Adult Writers Analysis
Revision Strategies of Student Writers and Experienced Adult Writers by Nancy Sommers In
Nancy Sommer s article she explains how Gordon Rohman s and James Britton s linear models
of writing are primarily derived from our speech process and lack focus on revision strategies.
Her research shows the differences between how student writers approach revising their papers
compared to experienced adult writers. Student writers look at revision as changing words to
avoid repetition, not to further develop an idea or rethink an argument. They are simply reviewing
the paper for redundancy and taking the language of speech to the more formal language of prose
(47). The students view the creation of their papers as a series of parts and do not... Show more

Students focus primarily on grammar rules and put less emphasis on their textual structure and
ideas. One the other hand, experienced writers use revision to find the form of their argument and
find their audience, which helps them develop their intentions and executions. This leads them to
develop ideas and semantics geared for their reader in mind. Experienced writers review their
work as a whole and possess a nonlinear theory to revision (52). They strategize and theorize to
recognize and resolve the dissonance they sense in their writing (51). The experience writers theory
has two elements of the revision process which encompasses a holistic perspective and a recursive
process. They consider every part of their writing as a potential for change. Sentences, ideas, word
structure, organization are a few considerations an experienced writer ponders over while making
revisions to produce a rhythmic, communicative, well formed and balanced piece of work. The
writers revision processes occur during different levels and cycles of their writing. Students lack the
ability to review

This was the great temple on the Capitolium, one of the two peaks of the Capitoline Hill. It was

but tradition states that a large part of the work was done by Tarquinius Superbus. With his

on each January 1 the new consuls took office in a colorful ceremony. Each month on the Ides, a

13. Ordovician Silurian Extinction
Corals are 500 million years old, and date back to the late Cambrian period, during the Paleozoic
era. Scientists suggest that they started as simple organisms but evolved into the coral reefs we
see today, due to changes in their environment. It is also known that over the 500 million years,
during which corals are known to have existed, they have gone extinct a number of times. These
extinction events were largely the result of dramatic changes in their environment. About 435
million years ago, the supercontinent, Pangaea, was beginning to form, and the current of the
world s oceans was being altered by drifting land masses. Sea levels and ocean temperatures
dropped significantly due to the formation of glaciers. This led to the extinction of corals and as
much as 60% of all marine life, this period is called the Ordovician Silurian Extinction Event.

reef systems. These early coral reefs were composed of stromatoporoids, tabulate corals, rugose

those without. Reefs are also a natural source of sand in beach replenishment. Losing the natural
reef barrier would have a large physical and economic impact on coastal communities as well as
the millions of people who live in coastal areas near coral reefs. The health of sensitive coral reef

14. Lisfranc Fracture-Dislocation Case Study
The Lisfranc fracture dislocation is characterised as an injury of the tarsometatarsal joints of the
foot. This region of the foot is prone to injury due to the lack of ligaments separating the bases of
the first and second metatarsals (Bontrager Lampignano, 2010). The Lisfranc joint articulates
between the cuneiforms and cuboid of the foot, along with the distal end of metatarsals, and
separates the forefoot from the midfoot. The joint can be seen from three different views in Figure
1 of the appendix (Kalia, Fishman, Carrino, Fayad, 2011). The clinical indications of a Lisfranc
fracture dislocation include oedema and tenderness in the area of the midfoot. The injury is usually
caused by the foot being overly plantar flexed, and is often associated with vehicular accidents and
sporting injuries (Scolaro, Ahn Mehta, 2011).

If the separation between the base of the first and second metatarsals is less than two millimetres,
the recommended treatment is to cast and immobilise the foot until healed. However, the most

In Figure 4, a radiographic image shows how a surgical screw has been positioned to stabilise and

It has been suggested by Scolaro (2011) et al. that if the Lisfranc fracture dislocation is greater than
two millimetres long term complications such as arthritis and damage to surrounding ligaments can
occur. However, the likelihood of obtaining posttraumatic arthritis is decreased dramatically if
ORIF surgery is performed soon after initial injury. If the Lisfranc fracture was a result of an
athletic injury, pain and instability of the foot can occur and arthrodesis may be necessary for long

The people flowed smoothly throughout the Hellenistic kingdoms mainly because they spoke and

able to communicate with anyone. Even with everyone connected there was still social disorder
due to the sudden change in government policy. People were actively involved the self governed
democratic government of the past. Now that citizens were once again living in impersonal empires
ruled by bureaucrats, they started to feel alienated. The Hellenistic art and literature expressed the
feelings of the citizens. They began to sculpt and paint actual people as opposed to the gods their
culture was so centered around. The citizens also began to join random religions that promised
immortality and individual wealth. Even Hellenistic philosophers focused their time on preaching
about individual happiness and pleasure. The Hellenistic period was an age ruled by
commercialism and cosmopolitanism. The Hellenistic age ended at the Romans feet when the

16. Essay on Evolution
Essay on Evolution
There are many mechanisms that lead to evolutionary change. One of the most important
mechanism in evolution is natural selection which is the differential success in the reproduction of
different phenotypes resulting from the interaction of organisms with their environment. Natural
selection occurs when a environment makes a individual adapt to that certain environment by
variations that arise by mutation and genetic recombination. Also it favors certain traits in a
individual than other traits so that these favored traits will be presented in the next generation.
Another mechanism of evolution is genetic drift. Genetic drift is a random change in a small gene

Some bacteria had genes that coded for enzymes that specifically destroyed certain antibiotics such
as ampicillin. From this incident, scientists were able to deduce that natural selection helped the
bacteria to inherit the genes for antibiotic resistance. Scientists have also been able to use
biochemistry as a source of evidence. The comparison of genes of two species is the most direct
measure of common inheritance from shared ancestors. Using DNA DNA hybridization, whole
genomes can be compared by measuring the extent of hydrogen bonding between single
stranded DNA obtained from two sources. The similarity of the two genes can be seen by how
tightly the DNA of one specie bonds to the DNA of the other specie. Many taxonomic debates
have been answered using this method such as whether flamingos are more closely related to
storks or geese. This method compared the DNA of the flamingo to be more closely related to the
DNA of the stork than the geese. The only disadvantage of this method is that it does not give
precise information about the matchup in specific nucleotide sequences of the DNA which
restriction mapping does. This technique uses restriction enzymes that recognizes a specific
sequence of a few nucleotides and cleaves DNA wherever such sequences are found in the genome.
Then the DNA fragments are separated by electrophoresis and compared to

Ignorance is the act of being unaware. This is evident in Harper Lee s novel, To Kill a
Mockingbird, and also in the two articles, The Lynching of Emmett Till, by Chris Crowe, and
Man Guilty of Murder in Texas Dragging Death , by Rick Lyman. In To Kill a Mockingbird,
there are many examples of ignorance, such as Scout s ignorance, or the racist tendencies of
Maycomb County residents. In the Emmett Till article, there is evidence of ignorance in the way
Till doesn t understand the southern way of life , and the overall acquittal of his murder. In the
Texas Dragging news report, the racist ways of the murderer, John King, are considered a form of
ignorance. Ignorance leads to to the unjust judgment of others.

Her own decisions cause her ignorance towards others. The most aggervating display of
ignorance is at the end of the Tom Robinson trial. Throughout the trial there has been such
compelling evidence that proves Mr. Robinson not guilty. Such as the fact that Mayella Ewell s
face was more bruised on the right side of her face, proving a left handed attacker, but Tom
Robinson s left hand was crippled when he was younger. But despite this evidence, Scout
narrates, A jury never looks at a defendant it had convicted, and when this jury came in, not one
of them looked at Tom Robinson (Lee 211). The jury proves to be ignorant of all evidence that
proves Tom Robinson guilty, and purely bases his verdict on the sole fact of his skin color. The
jury is ignorant to racial equality, and places unjust judgement on Tom Robinson, that ultimately
cost him his life. The ignorance of Scout, Mayella Ewell, and the jury was either the unjust
judgement of others, or a blatant disregard for basic knowledge.

Issue #1: Stigma of Mental Illness Both Williams and Gaita employs the stigma against mental
illness as a significant issue within both literary texts. Mental illness of the two prominent
female characters within separate texts, namely Christine from Romulus my Father, and Laura
from The Glass Menagerie is a prominent element in the story as it shapes the interpretation of
the audience. The employment of these characters allow the author to shed light to values and
attitudes of which the society holds against mental illness, irrespective of the time period. In
The Glass Menagerie, Laura s character serves as the victimised manifestation of mental illness.
The unfortunate character of Laura Wingfield suffered from anxiety and a limp on the leg . Her
anxiety is made extremely evident in Scene 2, whereby Amanda confronted Laura about her

Culture is described as the set of beliefs, customs, ways of thinking and behaving that exists in a
particular society. Meanwhile, the act of having a sense of reality can be described as knowing
the world or the state of things as they exist. Reality has a flimsy definition because one s own
reality could be different compared to another. However, a person s culturewill affect how they think
and thus manipulate their perception of reality. Common examples of this are: route of upbringing,
political views, holistic medicinal approaches and most importantly, religion. The United States of
America has many different cultures present throughout the entire nation. That is why it is
commonly referred to as the melting pot of the world. This being said, people raised in different
parts of the United States will be apart of different cultures and thus different senses of reality.
Someone raised in the South will have a different culture than someone raised in the North.
While this doesn t completely alter their sense of reality, it does affect it. Even two neighbors
will have different senses of reality because in general, upbringing affects reality. Being
optimistic will create opportunities and also impact how to live your life on a day to day basis

common belief that the gruesome events described in this mode of literature are inappropriate for

Of course, these elements do not appear as sinister as in adult Gothic fiction, but the basis is the

similarities between these two genres of literature, traditional adult Gothic would not use fairytales
as a basis. Furthermore, considering that Charles Perrault s Little Red Riding Hood is a splendid
example of traditional fairytales, it is worth observing if Gothic elements can be traced in it. Little
Red Riding Hood includes characteristics that resemble Gothic fiction s characteristics as
presented by David Punter; an emphasis on portraying the terrifying, a common insistence on
archaic settings, a prominent use of the supernatural... (cited in Roberts 21). Firstly, the setting is
terrifying; a young girl alone in the woods. Secondly, the use of supernatural is profound; the wolf
can speak and think like humans. According to Coats, this kind of elements in classic fairytales,
like creepy settings, forbidden wishes and evil villains, are associated with children s dangerous
impulses and aggressions (78). The role of fairytales is to deal with these unwanted urges

22. The Feminization Of Poverty And Poverty
Poverty has increasingly become a noticeable issue worldwide over the past couple of decades.
With the middle class steadily decreasing, considerable amounts of people are becoming part of
the lower class, and even more of our world s population are beginning to live in poverty. It is
important to understand there are different definitions of poverty, and that is largely determined by
what each country s government determines as the cut off of poverty, otherwise known as the
poverty line . Although some people could live above the poverty line, and still be struggling
financially, it goes unrecognized by most research collection. However, what was initially
noticed around the 1970 s is that there was a significant rise in women s poverty statistics. More
female headed households were living in poverty, and a majority of those women belonged to a
minority. This recognizable trend has been deemed the feminization of poverty , which according
research is not only a growing problem in North America, but several other countries around the
world. Information gathered about this issue in the United States shows that female headed
households is by far the fastest growing type of family structure, and due to the fact there is a
growing poverty level amongst this group, it now means that approximately half of the all the poor
in the United States live in a women headed family and household. (Gimenez, 1999, p. 336) The
biggest question when is comes to this particular topic is why?

23. Old Age, Survivors And Disability Insurance
Old Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance (OASDI) or more commonly known as Social
Security is a federally funded program that gives money to workers after retirement, spouses and
children of deceased workers, and workers who become disabled before they retire. It is financed
through a payroll deduction tax(FICA); currently a combined 12.4% deduction from workers and
their employers (Tax Topics). It currently has a base wage limit or tax cap, the maximum wage
that is subject to the tax for a particular year, of $118,500 (Tax Topics). President Franklin Delano
Roosevelt signed the Social Securitylaw in 1935, at which time thirty four other countries in Europe
already had some form of retirementplan in place.

In the 1940s, the payroll taxes from approximately forty workers were supporting one
beneficiary; by 2030, however, only two workers will be supporting each retiree (Saving). This
decrease is caused by a combination of a longer life expectancy, increased benefits, and a lower
birth rate. Although it benefits millions of Americans each year, there is now much discussion
of reform because of the decrease in the worker to retiree ratio. The National Issues Forums
Institute (NIFI), in their guidebook Making Ends Meet: How Should We Spread Prosperity and
Improve Opportunity? makes a double suggestion for Social Security tax reform: the tax could
be raised from 6.2% to 7.2% for workers and employers, which raises the overall payroll tax to
17.4%, and the base wage limit could be either raised or abolished. They claim that these two
suggestions combined will keep the Social Security program funded for twenty years past the
projected time frame, which is currently nineteen years (Making Ends Meet, 12).
The Making Ends Meet guidebook is about recovering from the 2007 recession and touches on
three main topics: creating new opportunities, strengthening the safety net, and reducing the
income gap. The safety net section of the guidebook discusses the need to provide better programs
to help unemployed workers, as well as retirees and the disabled. The NIFI touches on Social
Security because Whatever...we do to make workers better able

PERSONALITY ANALYSIS OF CHARLES MANSON Introduction Manson is a convicted
serial killer who has become an icon of evil. In the late 1960s, Manson founded a hippie cult
group known as the Family whom he manipulated into brutally killing others on his behalf.
Helter Skelter, Manson believed, was going to occur in the summer of 1969 when blacks were
going to rise up and slaughter all the white people. He told his followers that they would be saved
because they would go underground, literally, by traveling to an underground city of gold located
in Death Valley. However, when the Armageddon that Manson had predicted did not occur, he said
he and his followers must show the blacks how to do it. The reason why I chose Manson for my...

prostitution. His sentence this time was for 7 years at McNeil Island Penitentiary in Washington
and then was transferred back to Terminal Island in California. During this time, his wife
divorced him after giving birth to his second son named Charles Luther Manson Jr. He spent his
prison time learning to play guitar and studied Scientology. After being released in 1967, he
traveled to San Francisco. There he met a woman named Mary Brunner and moved into her
apartment. She soon fell in love with Manson and he used that to manipulate her into sleeping
around with multiple women. She eventually lost her job at UC Berkeley, fell deep into drug use,
and began travelling with Manson. Mary Brunner became an important part in his development of
the Manson Family . Lynette Fromme was the first to join the family. The three lived together on
the streets of San Francisco while Manson mentored and prophesized his ideas to the girls. His
childhood manipulative tendencies helped fuel his status as a prophet. In 1968 after time spent

birth to his third son named Valentine Manson. Manson wanted a son to carry on his legacy and

Genetically Modified Foods A Genetically modified organism (GMO) describes an organism
thats genetic material has been adjusted in way that would not occur in nature. This technology
allows for the transfer of specifically selected genes from one organism into another, regardless
of weither these genes originate from related species or non related species [1]. Genetically
modified (GM) foods are generally refer to plants in which have been developed using
molecular biology techniques for the purpose of human and animal consumption. The
modification of these plants is carried out within a laboratory and used to enhance desired traits
to improve the value of the plant. Traditionally, the enhancement of desired triats within a plant
was done through selective breeding however, this method was time consuming and its accuracy
was unreliable. Genetic modification within a laboratory setting allows for a more rapid and
accurate development of plants in which contain the specific desired trait [2]. Safety of GM
foods Determining the safety of different GM foods cannot be generalised as different GM foods
contain different genes in which are inserted in different ways. For this reason, the safety of GM
foods must be assessed individually. The GM foods in which are currently available on
international markets have all been risk assessed for safety and have shown to present little to no
risk to human health. Likewise, there have been no reported effects on human health as a result of

Critically analyze the development of human trafficking and its connections to the legitimate
economic sphere. To what extent is this market a result of global structural conditions?
In recent years, due to the threat it poses to human security, human trafficking has been identified
as one of the major and fast growing transnational problems. It is also perceived as a form of
modern slavery and one of the greatest human rights challenges of our times. Therefore, tackling
human trafficking is highly prioritized in many countries (European Commission, 2009). In the
last 20 years the occurrence of human trafficking has dramatically increased, and trade in human
beings has become one large part of the illicit global economy. Many criminals see this type of
transnational crime as a low risk high reward crime, and this may be one of the reasons why
they show a preference for it (Lee, 2007). The United Nations Protocol to Prevent, Suppress, and
Punish Trafficking in Persons, also known as the Palermo Protocol, adopted in 2000 defines
human trafficking as: The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons,
by means of threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception,
of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or

Moving pictures appeared in the first decade of the century, and were probably the most popular
form of entertainment during the 1920s. Thousands of people were able to be entertained under the
one roof of some huge theatres. Some of these theatres were exquisitely decorated and furnished,
creating an atmosphere where patrons received maximum satisfaction. In 1929 talkies appeared for
the first time in Australia, and thousands of people rushed to see the new talking, moving picture.
Despite the popularity of entertainment in the form of mentally stimulating material, such as the
radio and pictures, outdoor sport was another major form of relaxation during the 1920s.
Thousands went to see Australia s new sporting heroes in horse racing, tennis, football and
cricket. Australia experienced substantial success in international sporting competitions,
especially in tennis where Australia defeated England in the Davis Cup, and in cricket where
Australia defeated England in the first Test Series since the end of the war. Thousands of people
also went to the beaches. In the early 1920s mixed bathing was still illegal and beaches were
segregated. However, with the growing sense of social rebellion, more and more people ignored
these laws and came to the beach to swim. Bathing costumes gradually lost pre war modesty levels

34. Identifying The Search For An Keyword Search Tool
A.Email messages A forensic accountant could use a few different techniques to assist in
reducing the volume of email messages he or she has to examine. One technique they could
utilize is using a keyword search. This is probably the easiest to implement in searching for
specific emails. Keyword search tools generally come in two types, indexed or not indexed. An
indexed keyword search tool depends on the index that it created in order to actually locate
documents having the specific search terms. A non indexed keyword search scans through the
document with each search iteration to determine whether the specific term exists. They keyword
search will accurately find documents within the search criteria, however the documents may not
have any relevance to what the forensic accountant is actually looking for. Therefore, the forensic
accountant wants to be sure he or she is utilizing specific key words to find the evidence he or she
is looking for. Another method is context search. The context search adds context to the search
criteria. Context search helps improve the keyword search solution by addressing the problems
present in keyword searches related to synonymy and polysemy. Synonymy is a common linguistic
issue where different words are used to express the same concept, and polysemy is where the same
word can have different meanings (Fordham, 2013). The context search method combines several

35. Jewish Human Nature
Human nature is an often debated topic. Some believe the natural state of humans to be good;
some believe it evil. Catholic doctrine teaches original sin: the idea that all people are born
bearing the primeval sin of Adam in the Garden of Eden. Jewish doctrine teaches differently: all
humans are born without sin just as was created without sin. The second is certainly more
appealing because it is far less damning of humankind. The Catholic belief teaches that humankind
is born evil and is evil by nature and Jewish belief is that humans are what they make of themselves.
Both traditions have similar origins and draw on much of the same scripture for their beliefs,

There is support in the scripture for each belief. Paul champions the idea that all of humankind is
responsible for the sin in the Garden of Eden. This holds no water in the context of Judaism
because it is in the New Testament. There is, however, the concept that, ...the sins of the father are
to be laid upon the children... present throughout the old testament. In Isaiah, Your first father
sinned; your spokesmen rebelled against me. The idea of punishment for the sin of a parent is
nearly synonymous with original sin because Adam and Eve are understood to be the father and
mother of humanity by both traditions. The ideology is present in Exodus, You shall not bow
down before them or serve them. For I, the LORD, your God, am a jealous God, inflicting
punishment for their ancestors wickedness on the children of those who hate me, down to the third
and fourth generation. This exact ideology is repeated verbatim in Numbers and Deuteronomy. The
quote in Exodus is attributed directly to God. It follows logically then that, if God punishes future
generations for the sins of their parents, God would punish humankind for a sin committed by the
parents of humanity, Adam and

I. Introduction According to Brueggemann (2014) Communities are natural human groups,
networks, and associations of people related to one another by at least one common or compelling
factor in more or less loosely linked forms of connection (p.142). Communities are not only a place
where a group of people cohabitate but a linkage among people sharing common interests and
activities. In every community there are social workers that advocate on the behalf of the
vulnerable and oppressed population. A social worker needs to become familiar with the
communities that their clients reside in, to better provide local resources and aid to clients. In every
community there are resources and assets that could be used to improve its social environment. For
example, many communities have programs like the YMCA that promotes youth development and
communication among people living in the community. In addition, a social worker that provides
direct services to client needs to be aware of the resources available within the community and the
population seeking the assistance. By identifying which people live in a certain community, social
workers could develop cultural humility and have a better understanding of their client s values,
morals and heritage. Having this knowledge is crucial since some resources are specifically tailored
to certain groups. For instance, some senior centers provide meals, transportation, and employment
assistance for the elderly. Knowing the population that lives

Since Jansen s painting is inspired by his own unique interpretation of the world and how past,
present and future intertwine we are lead into the Psychoanalytical theory of art. I feel this theory
fits best with Jansen s painting Surreal . The psychoanalytical theory is about bringing what is in
the unconscious out from it hiding place, because our dreams, wishes, and human nature are what
makes artwork. According to Sigmund Freud past, present and future are threaded, as it were, on
the string of the wish that runs through them all (p.109). He means that some event in the present
employs a plan to a future on the pattern of the past. Like dreams though, works of art embody all
three modes of time in a unique synthesis. Jansen s art employs all three past present and future. He
shows us the present with the urban cityscape that has an apocalyptic foreboding feel to it that the
future could be. And the past is brought in with Jansen s own background and how history repeats
it self in that the future could be like the past economic depression. The intact potential available to
the artist allows one to instantly tap into the subconscious when making the art, demonstrating that
it can be incredibly satisfying and illuminating. The Expressionist theory of art is that the

Current Ratio
The first of the liquidity ratios is the current ratio. The current ratio is the number of times that
current assets exceed current liabilities. It is calculated by dividing the company s current assets
by their current liabilities. In most circumstances, the higher the current ratio, the better. The
ratio is an excellent indication of the company s ability to pay its short term debts. A decline in
the current ratio could imply that the company is having trouble generate cash, it could also be
a result of increases of short term debt, and/or a decrease in current assets. An improvement in
the current ratio implies that the company has an increased ability to pay off current liabilities.
As current ratio declines, the overall risk increases, and as it improves, the risk declines. From

recent year of 2015. However, compared to Pepsi s ratio of 1.31, Coke s current ratio is lower. To
increase their ratio to be more competitive with their benchmark, Coke could use long term
borrowing to pay off some of their current liabilities.
Quick Ratio
Next for the liquidity ratios is the quick ratio. The quick ratio, also called the acid test ratio, is a
more accurate test of liquidity than the current ratio because inventory is excluded from current
assets. Liquid assets are assets that can easily be converted into cash or cash equivalents.
Inventories are considered to be the

My partner and I collaboratively worked together to put the information we had gathered thus far
into the MOHO model for the assignment. This allowed for discussion about our understanding of
the client and we were able to identify that her daughter may be used to support the selection of
audio books,
The client was at a choir event which was good as it further reinforced to us that our client was
socially active within this context.
We were able to use our time to do some work on the assignment as well as assist the people who
were doing the group program in brainstorming.
We also planned a process for the termination of our intervention.

44. Compare Washington Crossing The Delaware And The Quilt
America, a country that could only be described as a quilt as it is made up of many different
peoples. Sadly, equality and common respect is hard to come by in a nation full of different
opinions, colors, and cultures. Through heart wrenching pathos, Leutze s painting Washington
Crossing the Delaware and Quindlen s The Quilt signifies that while America may seem on the
verge of breaking at times it manages to succeed through the unification of it s people.
Leutze s painting, Washington Crossing the Delaware, conveys that the people of America can
overlook their differences and hardship when being unified by hope. He uses pathos in the color
contrast in his painting to inspire feelings of hope in the unity of America. Dark color seems to
loom, almost pushing upon the ships in the painting. Nevertheless, light surrounds the ships,
seeming to flow from the American flag on the first ship. The American flag is a symbol of hope
for the men on these ships, each of them being drastically different. The men gathered on these
ships are all drastically different . George Washington himself is there, a highly respected general
among common folk and even an African Americanman. Each of these men different in race, rank,
and opinion are unified under a flag that represents each different person as a single people for the
hope that they can earn their freedom. Despite the pressing darkness the flag shines a light of hope
as a symbol of unity for the people of America. The pathos used in

45. Friar Lawrence Is Wrong Essay
Friar Lawrence is responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because Friar could have told
everyone that they were married and he gives Juliet the potion. This conflict could have easily
been resolved if Friar Lawrence would have been truthful. The first reason I gave you is that
Friar Lawrence could have told everybody. He agreed to marry Paris and Juliet after Friar had
married Romeo and Juliet. This leads to Romeo thinking Juliet is dead and killing himself. The
two families might have understood there children s to marry each other if it was coming from
a Friar. Lawrence could have also told Paris to not marry Juliet when Paris was talking to him. I
married them; and there stol n marriage day Act V Scene III Line 233. At the end of the story
Friar finally admits that he married the two, and he was wrong for doing so. The second reason is
that Friar shouldn t have given Juliet the potion. Giving Juliet the potion have to many things that
could have gone wrong. Friar then tries to send a letter to Romeo, it never gets to him because of a
plague. Balthasar then gives Romeo the wrong information about Juliet. This ends up having
Romeo think Juliet is dead then killing himself, then Juliet seeing Romeo dead killed... Show more

Friar Lawrence was dishonest and didn t try and protect young adults that made immature
decisions. He let them die. A counter argument for Friar Lawrence shouldn t have given Juliet
the potion is that it was he only choice. It wasn t Friar could have helped Juliet escape or just tell
everybody the truth. Romeo and Juliet were too young to know what they were doing and Friar
Lawrence didn t help them at all. Let my old life be sacrificed some hour before his time unto the
rigor of severest law Act V Scene III Line 268 69. Friar Lawrence realized what he did was

46. Robert Peel s Principles Of Police
Robert Peel wants to ensure discipline within the London Police department by organizing it similar
to the military rank. During this organization, his main purpose was to prevent crime without using
force. Robert Peel wants to use preventive patrol within the community. For this structure, he
created the Robert Peels Principles of Polices (Bohm Haley, 2011).
Robert Peel s theory was the measure of a true police is not the number of arrests but the absence
of criminal conduct and violation of laws. During an arrest, the use of force and physical control
is to be used as last resort. In addition, it was his desire that a police maintain the public favor and
cooperation by not providing favoritism. An officer is required to extend the

48. The Brady Bunch During The Vietnam War
The Brady Bunch was just reflective to the direction that family standards was shifting towards,
and even though The Brady Bunch wasn t the perfect nuclear family they still did uphold a vision
of an almost impossibly perfect blended family that came together so seamlessly after a
remarriage. While the idea of remarriage was changing the idea of marriageso did the supreme court
case Loving v. Virginia in 1967 which lead to the legalization of interracial marriage. In some
ways the case shifted the public s perception of what marriage was expected to be. As a result of
this you got new types of entertainment like Guess who s coming to dinner? Showing an interracial
couple that came out ironically unplanned around the same time as the court... Show more content

The census statistics during this period shows a distinct transition in family dynamics and the
growth of blended families across the nation. The transition to a broader definition of what
marriage can be is what arguably has led to societies social shift to a larger acceptance of
marriage that maybe historically didn t fit what the media portrayed as the ideal marriage; like
blended families, interracial marriage, and in recent years the shift to acceptance of
homosexual marriage and relationships that even in the 1960s was portrayed in cinema. The
ideal shift of a perfectly imperfect television family that obviously have face trials and
tribulations but still provides a loving home for children and a vessel for moral teachings is
something that we still see today on television. Full House is arguably an outcome of the
progression from The Brady Bunch era that expanded the idea of what marriage and family
could be. Full house is a form of a blended family in a non traditional way. Instead of a remarriage
you have a widowed single father with three daughters and his two male best friends helping raise
them. Without previous shows like The Brady Bunch paving the way for non traditional families,
shows like Full House might have never been given the avenue to tell these stories of non
traditional families that were actively living in the

49. Milos Forman s Amadeus
Mohammed alqarni Milos Forman s Amadeus is one of the most hazardous bets a producer has
taken in quite a while a rich film about Mozart that challenges to be anarchic and saucy, yet still
gains the significance of disaster. This motion picture is in no way like the bleak instructive
representations we re accustomed to seeing about the Great Composers, who appear to be
cobwebbed profundities overloaded with the weight of virtuoso. This is Mozart as an eighteenth
century Bruce Springsteen, but (here is the virtuoso of the motion picture) there is nothing shoddy
or unworthy about the approach. Amadeus is not just about as much fun as you re probably going
to have with a motion picture, it additionally is exasperatingly valid. Reality enters
