Troon golf has to for moving to cloud computing. I feel an organization like Troon can reduce
their application operation costs by moving to cloud computing. As the data and information
stored is small and also most of the hardware or applications are leased or bought from outside it
is expensive. If it moved to cloud computing it can save lot of money and reduce operations on the
organizations.

The Aggression Scale Movie
Aggression scale is a film about trauma. Specifically, coping with trauma by using anger. An
unjust event shattered Owen and Lauren s lives. Mobsters are coming to reclaim money stolen by
their father and kill the family for the father s sins. When the mobsters arrive Lauren in the shower
and Owen is already scheming a plan of attack. What the mobsters do not know is that Owen has a
diagnosed behavioral problem. Aggression.
The trauma we act out is guided our place in ideological systems. Gender interprets our trauma in
terms of weakness and power. Masculinity teaches trains boys that manliness is defined by
toleration of pain. A boy proves manhood by taking more pain then the next guy. But if a boy
flinch s or is swayed by tragedy his very genitalia is called into question. A girl, on the other hand,
is expected to show weakness and avoid showing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What does set him apart from traditional slashers is his enjoyment of violence. While the film
justifies Owen s violence as vengeance against home invaders and attacks by bullies this does not
tell the whole story.
Lauren, Owen s stepsister, on the other hand, reacts to trauma differently. The only clue we are
given about her history is the scars on her wrists. Some unknown event has rattled its way into her
brain. In all likelihood, she was the victim of someone s whims or dealt a bad hand of genetics.
Whatever is the cause of Laurens tragedy, she directs her aggression inwards. Internalizing the
aggressor and re victimizing herself.
The scene about midway through the film where Lauren respectively stabs one of the mobsters is
telling. Unlike Owen who is calm and numbly collected when he traps and hunts the mobsters,
Lauren screams while she repetitively stabs the mobster. From her depths, something larger than the
violence is bellowing. The opposite of relief. Lauren is crossing a line from victim to something

Ford Pinto Research Paper
A ball of fires comes from the small compact car called the Ford Pinto. Just a touch of the
bumper will cause injury and death to happen in this car. This car has been known through time
to be a very dangerous car. The history of the car, the way the car was designed and made, and
the aftermath and problems it caused prove why this car is such a dangerous car. The car itself
was the start of an era for small compact cars.
The idea for the Ford Pinto started in about 1968 when car companies were trying to create small
compact cars for little money. Ford s President at the time, Lee Iaccoca, did not want his company
to sit back and let the Japanese control the small car industry( ). After years of modeling and
designing, the Ford Pinto ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There were three basic types of the Pinto; the wagon, sedan, and runabout which ranged from
170.8 inches to 180.6 inches in length, 50.6 inches to 52.1 inches in height, and 69.4 inches to
69.7 inches in width( ). The PInto was a simple car but had one minor flaw in its design; the fuel
tank. The Fuel tank that was installed on the Ford Pinto was arguably the most dangerous fuel
tank system known to man( ). The reason it s the most dangerous fuel system is because it s
vulnerable to rear end collisions. Once a collision has happened the fuel tanks filler neck on the
tank would tear off and pour gasoline on the ground( ). The placement of the tank on the car also
cause problems. Once the car was hit braces, bolts and other sharp metals would puncture the
tank and cause spillage there( ). Ford had tested this problem in crash test to diagnose the car. 8
/11 Pintos had a ruptures in the tank and would cause serious injuries( ). After the test had been
analyzed and reviewed Ford saw that there was a problem with the tank design but to fix the
problem they would have to increase the cost of the car for the public. To fix the problem it
would cost 11 dollars more per car to sell and that would put the cost of the car past there
requirment ( ). To determine whether it was a worthy change to fix the car, a cost benefit analysis
was made( ). A cost benefit analysis is a comparison of all

clothing was laid out for each person and had to be worn. Red envelopes placed under pillows
contained an even amount of money. A feast prepared on New Years Eve was available on New
Year s Day. However, cooking was not allowed on the first day of the new year. Fu, the red
Chinese symbol of luck, was placed upside down in their doorway to allow luck to flow into their

people looked down on the Filipinos. The Filipino people were not very accepting of the Chinese
because they considered them to be much smarter than they were. Her grandfather had paramount
influence in the family s affairs. Faith recalls being taught that you must always marry into the

daughters would attend and even selected their major area of study. If they did not follow his

What Is Standardized Work
Standardized work
Need for a system in place to solve the problem of occurrence.
1.The basic requirement for a successful plant operation is to have a system in place to solve
problems as and when it arises.
2.Find the right people to lead this system.
How long has a skipper got to react if he spots a problem? And How long has a manager got to
react if a quality problem arises?
The reaction time on any problem by Supervisor will be quicker than the plant manager who has
to wait for a report to analyze the situation. The Supervisor / Operators need to have a process for
correcting problems as and when they arise. It is how a person does it and the results obtained
which matters.

Comparing And Contrasting Christianity And Islam
Comparing and Contrasting Christianity and Islam Religion is a guide to live a life that offers a
fixed set of morals, as well as something to hold onto in times of misfortune and remarkable
miracles. It is something that one will always grasp for, obey, and learn from as they carry on with
their everyday lives. Christianity, which stands as the most practiced religion in the world, and Islam
, which stands second, both portray how something that starts off so small can grow to enormous
proportions and bring abundant rejoice and enlightenment to ones life. Christianity and Islam
differ from each other because one bases its beliefs on the Bible while the other focuses on the
Qur an. One also has seven layers of Hell, while the other does not. The two are similar because
they have analogous outlines of how the human race should live; for Christianity it is the Ten
Commandments and for Islam it is the Five Pillars. Another way they are similar is that both have
judgment take place after death occurs. The writing of the Bible took many years and multiple
authors to portray the teachings of God. On the other hand, Muhammad individually recorded the
Qur an the holy book of Islam. Though Muhammad recorded the Qur an, God was the one that told
him what should be written. Having said this, the two differ immensely. Firstly, Christians believe
that Jesuswas resurrected from the dead after three days. Muslims, on the other hand, believe that

A Streetcar Named Desire Analysis

Written Task 2
Title of the text for analysis: A Streetcar Named Desire, Tennessee Williams. 2004.
Part of the course to which the task refers: Part 4 Literature, a Critical Study
Prescribed Question: How and why is a social group represented in a particular way?
My critical response will:
в—ЏShow how the males are portrayed in the text
в—ЏShow how Stanley is the alpha male and what his role is
в—ЏShow how Mitch is the omega male and what his role is
In A Streetcar Named Desire, men are the social groups represented with these roles alpha, beta,
omega. Males are portrayed as a big part in Tennessee s book, which shows the respect and rights
they hold. The men are shown this way to give off their looks and personality. The way things are
set up in the book shows the understanding of each male characters and where they stand.
The top dog Stanley is the alpha, Pablo and Steve are betas and Mitch is the omega. For
example,in the book the author writes, Stanley doesn t give me a regular allowance; he likes to
pay bills himself. (pg 78) . Making it seemed as if Stanley is the man and has it all under control .
The author wants the audience to know that Stanley has the money so he is the one in charge and
what he want has to be done, and done his way. But on the other hand the author introduces Mitch
as a very soft, awkward man that is a mamas boy .The book quotes, Hurry back and we ll fix you
a sugar tit. (pg 48). The quote refers that Mitch is as a man who can t do anything on his own
and he still is a baby and lives off his mom and has her do things for him. Tennessee used
different reference to show how the men are described in, A Streetcar Named Desire. Alphas are
always the first or leaders in the group. While betas back the alphas up and got their backs. And
last are omegas they are the loser. Betas are more anti and careless of what others care, they don t
care what others think. Steve and Pablo are kind and they try to not interfere in much of what goes
on which are characteristics of a beta. Stanley is forced, pinioned by the two men, into the
bedroom. (pg 63).
In A Streetcar Named Desire, Stanley is to be seen and known as to the most dominant

Specific industries were hit by the 9/11 events, in particular the airline industry. It can be said that
no other industry was as immediately affected by the events of 9/11 as the airline industry.
Demand for flights and holidays fell dramatically due to the fear of flying at such a fragile time,
this hit the industry hard, causing sales to fall dramatically. As a result, a vast amount of jobs were
lost at the worlds largest airline companies and only a government bail out prevented others from
falling into bankruptcy. These include Sabena (Belgium), Swissair, Ansett Australia, and Vanguard
Airlines (United States). The situation is however slowly improving, although stably not
spectacularly. Much of the trust in the safety of air travel seems to have been regained a year
after and some of the jobs have also been regained. However since the war on Iraq begun,
consumers are again wary of air travel due to the risk of another attack.
Tourism was another industry hit hard. Some claim it was partly due to the slump in demand for
air travel, which is the most common form of transport from one country to another. Overseas
visits to the United Kingdom for example fell by 9% for 2001. Tourism is a

For example, it was the wicked and wild wind, blew down the doors to let me in, shattered
windows and the sound of drums, people couldn t believe what I d become, (Coldplay 23 28). In
these few lines there is personification and symbolism. Saying, wicked and wild wind, is an
example of personification. It is also an example of symbolism. The wicked and wild wind is an
example of all his temptations that he faced as a king as they blew down the doors to let him in,
meaning allowing them to take control of him. Along with the figurative language, there is
diction. The writer uses the words wicked and shattered to explain how bad his situation was.
Furthermore, another quote from the song is, One minute I held the key, next the walls were
closed on me, and I discovered that my castles stand upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand,
(Coldplay 10 14). These lines are using diction with the phrase upon pillars on salt and pillars of
sand . The quote is explaining that his kingdom is weak and falling apart. By saying his kingdom
is standing on salt and sand, we can infer that his kingdom is coming to its downfall because we
know that salt and sand are not strong or sturdy for an empire to stand

Popularity, Physical Appearance, and the American Dream...
For many, the American Dream is the hope for a future filled with success and fortune. Although
many may share the idea of the American Dream, each person has a different perception of what
is necessary to achieve this goal. Willy Loman, the lead character of Miller s play, Death of a
Salesman, believes that popularity and physical appearance are the keys that unlock the door to the
American Dream .
We are first introduced to the importance of popularity and physical appearance when Willy is
speaking to his wife, Linda, about their son Biff. Biff Loman is lost, says Willy. In the greatest
country in the world, a young man with such personal attractiveness gets lost. In this quote, not
only is Willy confused ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The boys ask their father if his business will be like their Uncle Charley s. Willy responds by
saying that he ll be, Bigger than Uncle Charley! Because Charley is not liked. He s liked, but he s
not well liked. From this example, it becomes evident that Willy thinks being well liked can make
you successful.
The most significant example, however, is also one that takes place in one of Willy s flashbacks.
Again, he is speaking to his sons about becoming successful. He tells them, ...the man who makes
an appearance in the business world, the man who creates personal interest, is the man who gets
ahead. Be liked and you will never want. You take me...I never have to wait in line to see a buyer.
Willy Loman is here! That s all they have to know, and I go right through.
From these examples, it becomes very apparent that appearance and popularity are unusually
important to Willy when it comes to being successful in the business world.
As we can see from Willy s ideas of personal attractiveness, he doesn t seem to rely on hard work
very much, particularly when it comes down to achieving the American Dream. In actuality, it is
the lack of hard work that attracted Willy to become a salesman in the first place. In a conversation
with Howard, his boss,

Furthermore, in novel situations they will utilize the salient features approach (which includes
the foreseeability of harm to persons and proximity) to make a determination on the matter.
Other key salient features that need to be assessed are: vulnerability of the plaintiff to harm, the
defendant s control over the risk of harm, the indeterminacy of liability and the need for
coherence. B Nature of the Relationship Between the Parties Paul was originally engaged by a
personnel hire company to undertake training provided by TeleCall for work in the TeleCall call

Reasonable Foreseeability A duty of care cannot be established solely on the basis of reasonable

foreseeability does not to ask if the injury itself is foreseeable. Rather, the focus at this stage is
whether careless conduct of any kind by the defendant, might result in the plaintiff or class of

Black Elk Speaks By John G. Neihardt And Bury My Heart At...
How Connection is Essential to Resonance: A Comparison of Black Elk Speaks and Bury My
Heart at Wounded Knee
Beginning hundreds of years ago, Native Americans experienced an invasion. Perpetrated first by
European explorers, then conquerors, and, finally, colonists, the first people to inhabit the Americas
experienced a devastation of their land, culture, and dignity from people who hungered for their
land and resources. Despite these tribulations, the Native American identity could never truly be
destroyed. The novels Black Elk Speaks by John G. Neihardt and Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee
by Dee Brown explore this truth by recounting the oppression of Native Americans and illustrating
the incoming of the white man through the indigenous ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the case of Black Elk Speaks, the content focuses on the life story of Black Elk, a figurehead of
the Oglala Sioux tribe of what is now primarily South Dakota. Neihardt s approach of simply
listening to Black Elk as he told his story in his native tongue and then seeking translation granted
Black Elk the autonomy of his expression and brought to the table realism tinged with mysticism, a
representation of the Native American experience in a manner not intruded by commentary or
analysis. Speaking broadly yet focally, Black Elk communicated the ruination of North America and
the maltreatment of its original inhabitants:
Once we were happy in our own country and we were seldom hungry, for then the two leggeds
and the four leggeds lived together like relatives ... But then the Wasichus came, and they have
made little islands for us and other little islands for the four leggeds, and always these islands are
becoming smaller, for around them surges the gnawing flood of the Wasichu, and it is dirty with
lies and greed (Neihardt 8).
These islands, this flood, these lies described by Black Elk are emphasized throughout the
development of his life as he tells his personal story and relates it to the broadness of this
devastation. From his childhood, during which the Wasichus were mostly unseen manifestations of
wrong and during which he had the revelation that propelled him forward and offered to him the
doorway to his roots, to his

Abstract
Ivan Petrovich Pavlov was a Russian Physiologist that was born in Ryazan. He was born into a
Russian Orthodox family and was originally planning to follow in his father s footsteps as a
priest. His high school training was received in an ecclesiastical seminary in Ryazan. He
graduated afterwards from the Natural Sciihck Faculity of the University of St. Petersburg, and in
1879 obtained his M.D. degree from the Medico Chirurgical Academy in that city. He became a

Under his 45 year direction, this Institute became one of the most important centers of
physiological research (Babkin, 1949). In 1890, Pavlov was selected as Professor of
Pharmacology at the Military Medical Academy. Five years later, he was chosen to the then vacant
Chair of Physiology, a position he held until 1925.
Ivan Pavlov was known for many things. From studying digestion to studying the circulatory
system to studying nerves directing the digestive glands, he had an abundance of skill and
knowledge. In 1889, he discovered the nerves controlling the gastric glands in which he received
the 1904 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. After setting aside his initial plan to follow his
father into priesthood, Pavlov received a medical degree at age 33 and spent the next two decades
studying the digestive system; but it wasn t until the last three decades of his life when he
performed the experiments that earned him his fame and significant place in history.

Carrageenan is Derived from Seaweed
INTRODUCTION TO CARRAGEENAN
The carrageenan is from family of linear sulphate polysaccharides which is derived from
seaweed (Falshaw et al., 2001). Carrageenan is a general name for polysaccharides extracted from
certain kinds of red algae, a seaweed where is abound in coast of North America and Europe which
are built up, in contrast to agar, from D galactopyranose units. The name Carrageenan is derived
from the Chondrus crispus species of seaweed known as Carrageen Moss or Irish Moss in England,
and Carraigin in Ireland. Carraigin has been used in Ireland since 400 AD as a gelatin and as a
home remedy to cure coughs and colds. 1(a) 1(b)

Gigartina, Hypnea, Eucheuma, Chondrus and Iridaea species. Water souble of carrageenan is
referred to sulphate group in its structure (Relleve et al., 1999). Carrageenans occur as matrix
material in numerous species of red seaweeds wherein they serve a structural function analogous to
that of cellulose in land plants. Chemically they are highly sulfated galactans. Due to their half ester

The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime Analysis
Every day, we are faced with decisions that challenge our moral values. Having a straight needle
on an individual s moral compass is always one of the best things that they can have. It teaches
them right from wrong, and tells them when they have to interfere and do the right thing. This
summer, the theme of this project was to do the right thing , and I was required to read two
books. I chose to read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon, as well
as Going Bovine by Libba Bray. Both books immediately grabbed me by the hand and took me into
their worlds, along with learning the important lessons behind both Christopher and Cameron s
stories. The emotions of each individual character play an important part in the development of the

The Theory Of Cognitive Therapy
Abstract
The theory of Cognitive Therapy was Beck s initial therapy approach to depression. This paper
will provide an overview of Cognitive Therapy and treatment modalities for depression, as well as
the writer s personal view on counseling and cognitive therapy. Additionally, the paper will examine
depression as a presenting problem and the use (application) of Cognitive Therapy theory to treating
a person with depression.
Cognitive Therapy Theory as Applied to Depression
Review of Cognitive Therapy Theory Cognitive Therapy (CT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
(CBT) are used interchangeable. Cognitive therapy is a series of short term treatments that teaches
specific skills.
Aaron T. Beck is known as the founder of CT for depression in the 1960s and 70s, and he and
some colleagues developed a full manual that described the treatment (DeRubeis, Siegle, Hollon,
2008, p. 789). Further, the authors indicates that in CT the role of the therapist is to teach the
individual how to acquire the basic skills to recognize negative thoughts and images that causes the
emotional experience and how to block out those thoughts and images that are believed to be the
contributing factor (p. 789). Jarrett, Vittengl, Clark, and Thase (2011) implies that the purpose of
CT is to teach a person to identify and modify relations between thoughts, feelings, and behavior so
that it will help alleviate emotional distress. Hofmann, Asmundson and Beck (2013) indicates that

The Marxist And Postcolonial Lenses
There are a million ways to read a story, a million perspectives to choose from, a million lenses to
closely examine every carefully written word. When taking on a reading persona, when looking
through one of these lenses, the story can be seen in a light completely alien to what is shown on
the surface. One can see the story through the eyes of the famous communist politician Karl
Marx, the psychologist Sigmund Freud, or even the feminist Susan B. Anthony. With each of
these perspectives comes a set of important analytical questions that break the story apart and
delve deeper into the author s true meaning. One such author famous for hiding a deeper
meaning beneath the surface of his stories is Ernest Hemingway. By analyzing literature through
the Marxist and Postcolonial lenses, one can see Hemingway s inner thoughts about how people
view and interact with each other, on both a classist and racist level. The Marxist standpoint is
known to illuminate the struggles and tensions of different social classes in literature. In
Hemingway s A Cat in the Rain , the main character is on a lavish vacation in a foreign country,
Their room was on the second floor facing the sea. It also faced the public garden and the war

Application Of A Solid Foundation
Once the proposed project is understood and it is agreed upon that the system requirements will be
supported, a solid foundation must be built to support the development of the system. Models and
other documentation are used to aid in the visualization and description of the proposed system.
Process models are used to identify and document the portion of system requirements that relates to
data. Processes are the logical rules that are applied to transform the data into meaningful
information. The three main tools used in process modeling are data flow diagrams, which shows
how data moves through an information system; a data dictionary, which is a central storehouse of
information about the system s data used by analysts to collect,... Show more content on

The logical model revolves around the needs of the business rather than the database. Once all
necessary information is gathered, entity relationship diagrams, business process diagrams, and
process flow diagrams are produced as deliverables. These diagrams are required to show the
processes and data that exists and the relationships between them. Before the physical modeling can
begin, managers, developers, and users review the diagrams and documentation generated to insure
all business requirements have been completely gathered and met. A physical model outlines the
actual design of a database according to the requirements that were recognized during logical
modeling. It converts the business model into a relational database model in which objects are
being defined at the schema level. A database design effort is normally associated with one schema.
A physical model creates objects using tables and columns based on entities and attributes that were
defined during logical modeling, and defines constraints including primary keys, foreign keys and
other unique keys. To ensure that all information system needs are met, physical models are often
developed jointly by a team representing the data administration, database administration, and
application development areas (CA ERwin Data Modeler Methods Guide CA, n.d.). Physical
modeling is database specific, which means the objects defined during

Theme Of Gender Roles In A White Heron
A White Heron , written by Sarah Orne Jewett, is a timeless classic of a girl finding a heron and
keeping it a secret from a man she meets in the woods. There is a lot of symbolism in the story,
but it also talks about the difference between the gender roles of the characters in the story and
their approach to the natural world. This is a major facet especially in the time period the story
takes place which is during the 1880 s. The author shows moments where genderroles fit the norms
of the times but what is more fascinating is the focus given on the changing gender norms that
conflict with the time period. I will give my opinion of the gender roles and also discuss two other
opinions from other literary analysis by Aubrey E. Plourde and Effie Heotis.
During my research, I discovered the roles that men and women played during the 1880 s and
how they fit into the character s roles of A White Heron . Men were considered more strong,
intelligent, and courageous. Women on the other hand were to have virtues of modesty,
compassion, and chastity. They were driven by their emotions. Also, women were expected to be
passive and men aggressive. We see this type of passive description in the story when it says, She
did not dare to look boldly at the young man (Jewett 439). Even when Mrs. Tilley was bragging
about Sylvia s knowledge about nature, the author describes her as The little girl that sat very
demur (Jewett 440). Another example of traditional gender roles is even

The True Character of Isabella in Measure for Measure
Some critics of Shakespeare s play, Measure for Measure, judge Isabella as a narrow minded but
passionate girl afflicted with an irrational terror of sex (Barton, 546), a young, immature woman
demonstrating moral absurdity and cruelty (Nicholls, 478), whose actions are scarcely defensible.
A classmate of mine asked, Why doesn t Isabella just sleep with Angelo? What s the big deal? These
statements reveal that these people have no understanding or sympathy for Isabella s position:
socially, morally or physically.
Perhaps I take the issue of Isabella s character so seriously because I played the role of Isabella in
our college s production of the play. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yet I found that the script does allow for an Isabella of greater richness than we usually see
reflected in print. From within, I measured her differently.
We often hear that Isabella is a rigid absolutist, particularly in her attitude toward sexual activity
outside marriage. But beginning at the beginning, I found that Isabella is a humorous, tolerant wit.
Now I imagine that those adjectives surprise you, but let me move through her first scene, taking
into account the choices our director Ronnie Larson, the other actors and I made. In Act I scene iv, I
was blocked to enter quietly, head down, and then suddenly see the Duke (disguised in his monk
s habit) who was still center stage after his soliloquy. I paused, while our Duke awkwardly and
hesitantly blessed me with the sign of the cross. I smiled and shook my head slightly, amused at
his evident bashfulness, thinking Who is this strange brother? This moment gave me a sense of
calm certainty I knew what I was doing in this convent and in a habit, even if he didn t. I passed
downstage of him as he exited, unfurled a large white cloth on the stage as a symbolic altar, and
kneeled on it, beginning an audible rosary, Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Our Lucio, entering from the audience, saw me praying and knelt down beside me for his line,
Hail, virgin, if you be.

Bronfenbrenner s Ecological Systems Theory
Discuss Bronfenbrenner s ecological systems theory and how it applies to the plight of children in
the European migrant crisis In order to understand how Bronfenbrenner s ecological systems theory
of human development applies to children of the European migrant crisis, it may be useful to start
by explaining what the ecological systems theoryis. This theory was published in 1979 and was
developed by developmental psychologist, Urie Bronfenbrenner. It is an evolving theoretical system
developed for the use of scientific study on the area of Human Development (Bronfenbrenner, 2005
as cited in Damon Lerner, 2006, p. 793). Human Development describes the growth in humans
throughout their lifespan (http://psychology.about.com/od/developmentecourse/f/dev_faq.htm).
The bioecological model of human development is defined as the following; The phenomenon of
continuity and change in the biopsychological characteristics of human beings, both as individuals
and as groups. The phenomenon extends over the life course, across successive generations, and
through historical time, both past and future. (Damon, M. Lerner M. R, 2006, p.793) How does
this bio ecological systems theory apply to the children in this modern day European migrant crisis?
As stated above, this theory has been developed to scientifically study the area of human
development, an area which is central to children in particular. Bronfenbrenner argues that the
environment around the individual is what

Other dilemmas may be that neither the father nor the mother is able to bond with the child. In the
case of surrogacy the surrogate mother faces some similar moral and psychological issues such as

this is so controversial that some states have made it illegal to enter into an agreement with a

Another down side to using reproductive technology because many of the techniques used result in

The Golden Gate Bridge Essay
The Golden Gate Bridge
Since the dawn of time, man has had an inherent need to get to the other side. Rivers, canyons,
and impassable trails have always hindered the migration of man, leaving him the choice to
continue no further, or to build a bridge and get over it. The earliest bridges were made of simple
materials such as stone, or even a fallen log. Regardless of the material, natural bridges allowed
man to explore the other side. However, man has never been satisfied with what nature gives him.
Over time, man developed the ability to construct his own bridges in order to create a shortcut
across an otherwise impassable obstacle. The first man made bridges consisted of wooden beams or

The Golden Gate Bridge broke span records and set new safety standards in the bridge building
community. Although architects and engineers designed a safe structure, various improvements
such as a lighter deck and reinforced steel trusses have been added over the years. The Golden
Gate Bridge, in all its glory, is a true structural wonder for both its size and artistic design.
Although actual construction began in January of 1933, the idea for the Golden Gate Bridge
began back in 1872. At that time, railroad entrepreneur Charles Crocker envisioned bridging the
gap across the entrance to San Francisco Bay from the Pacific Ocean. The idea was deemed
unfeasible at the time and was put to rest until 1916, when James Wilkins, a newspaper editor,
began to heavily promote the idea of building a bridge across the Golden Gate Strait. This time
the proposal caught the attention of various bridge engineers in the area. The initial response was
that the bridge would be difficult to build and cost in excess of 100 million dollars. Joseph
Baermann Strauss stepped in with his proposal that, not only could the bridge be built, but
construction would cost less than thirty million dollars. He even believed that tolls would soon
pay for the expenses. On June 28, 1921 Strauss submitted his plan to build the Golden Gate Bridge
for twenty seven million dollars. While the City of San Francisco needed the bridge to
accommodate the rapid population boom, it lacked the funds to

Impacts of Climate Change on Australia Alps’ Ski Industry
The changing nature of snow cover as a result of alpine climate change is a modern phenomenon
that climate scientists are beginning to understand. Declining snow depth and duration have serious
implications for Australia s ski industry, in particular the longevity of the industry. This essay
discusses the impacts of alpine climate change on snowcover, adaption strategies to sustain the
industry s economy as well as the unsustainable nature of snowmaking as a long term solution.
Limitations on water and energy resource make snowmaking problematic as a substitute for natural
snow. The essay highlights the unsustainability of snowmaking as a short term solution, and raises
concerns of the longevity of the ski industry.
Currently, the Australian ski industry comprises of ten operational ski resorts (Figure 1) with
0.15% of the continent (Green and Pickering 2009, p. 271) regularly receiving snow due to the low
attitude of mountains. Consequently, decline in snow cover on top of limited snow availability

today have a good idea about the hazards of space travel and know the consequences space travel
can have for people. And after considering Andy Weir s statement regarding travel to Mars, I am
of the opinion that we as a nation should not fund a manned mission to Mars in the near future
because it will be very expensive, we have a larger need to explore places here on Earth, and it
purposes a large danger to the people traveling in space.

Our bodies are not built for space. The exposure to radiation can cause cataracts, brain damage, and
cancer. Weightlessness can cause muscle mass loss, bone mass loss, and bad circulation. Author of
Humans may dream of traveling to Mars, but our bodies aren t built for it, Charles Wohlforth and

also discovered that living in weightlessness can damage the optic nerve. In the absence of
gravity, cerebral spinal fluid stops circulating. On voyages of more than a year, that could lead to
blindness or contribute to dementia, [3]. This is a big problem when it comes to space travel, and
should be NASA s biggest priority.
In conclusion, traveling to Mars may seem like a great idea, but it really isn t. After considering

Essay on Merrill Lynch Internship Experience
This summer I was offered an internship for Merrill Lynch in my hometown of Towson,
Maryland. For eight weeks, I worked five days a week for an average of thirty hours. There are
numerous Merrill Lynch offices in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. area. Offices in Annapolis
and Baltimore are greater in numbers and advisors. The Towson region only has about fifteen
advisors and four client assistants. However, almost all of those advisors started their careers in
Baltimore. The Towson office was for more established advisors who already have a distinguished
client list. Because the office was much smaller, I was the only intern for the summer, which
proved to have both its ups and downs. On one hand, being the only intern gave me... Show more

Each advisor gave me a positive rating on making the CRC s. However, there were a few
instances where I did not correctly highlight the client s assets. For example, if a client had made
a significant profit over the years, I was to create a CRC where the assets are numerical rather than
in percentages, and vice versa if a client had lost money.
Another task I performed was assisting two advisors on their new presentation to for perspective
clients. I mostly worked on constructing a bullish support line for several of the clients. The bullish
support line determines when there it is the right time to sell your stocks. It is very similar to work
I had done in the past weeks with the point and figure analysis. To begin this work, I took a list of
clients that had recently bought new shares of stock. It s true that the majority of the clients deal
strictly with mutual funds or annuities, but there were numerous cases where clients decide to buy
stocks. With the list of clients, I researched the stocks they had bought. Of course, there must be a
buy signal, which the support line will indicate. Once the line indicates a buy, you make a mark at
a period of time when

Legend Of The Chinese Zodiac And How Cats And Mice Became...
Have you ever heard of Cat and Rat legends? There are two legends that I will be showing you
about. The legends that I will be telling you about is Cat and Rat: Legend of the Chinese Zodiac
and How Cats and Mice Became Enemies. This essay will show the similarities and differences
between these two legends.
In this paragraph, I will be summarizing the two stories. In Cat and Rat: Legend of the Chinese
Zodiac, the cat and rat join a race with a lot more other animals to win a zodiac named after them.
The first twelve animals to cross the finish line would win. The rat and cat help each other and go
to the lake to cross it at its widest point. Rat cheated the cat and pushed her in the water to win. Cat
tried swimming to the edge, for the

Could A Machine Be Conscious
1 Could a machine be conscious? This question is often dismissed as simple by those that would
say yes in response. The usual claim made by the pro camp is that man is a biological machine
and is conscious, ergo, a machine is conscious. If we, humans, are truly biological machines and
we are at the same time conscious then I would agree that yes, categorically, a machine could be
conscious. But is it really that simple? I contend that it is a more difficult problem but not that it is
a complicated one, merely one of ambiguity which, once resolved, leads the contemplator to the
same conclusion as I do that in fact, no, a machine could not be conscious. I propose that those
who argue the yes case that a machine can be conscious are, in... Show more content on

They are all actions definable in their own right, which, I contend need not be sub categories of, or
allocated to the definition of consciousness and, unlike the hard problem of consciousness which
we will come to shortly, they can be explained by science in a physical context and therefore be
impersonated by machinery. They have physical qualities which are an important distinction in the
3 concept of Artificial Intelligence which claims the ability of machines to achieve consciousness,
arising in theory out of intelligence. The most prominent example of the concept of a machine
being intelligent in the manner of this so called consciousness is the Turing test (Turing, 1950)
which, rather tellingly, was originally called the Imitation Game . The test was designed to see if a
machine could fool a human into thinking it was itself another human, and although somewhat
successful with Eliza (Weizenbaum 1976), the premise was quickly, and I opine correctly, attacked
by Searle (1980:417 57) in his Chinese Room thought experiment, proving that a machine can
simulate communication without understanding and is therefore not thinking in the way humans,
or perhaps other living things do. Humans exhibit the ability to pass tests without understanding the
material and, I contend, this is what a machine simulates, the function of memory, not intelligence.
Even if it could fool a

The Dimensions Of Mental Health
Life In life there is many things that could happen. Things that catch your attention, going to
wonderful places, and to be playing in a professional. It all goes forever but there is one thing that
you have to be aware of. The things we do to ourselves as to other people, and it all starts with our
own health, to living longer, and all the way to making decisions. These are the things to have a
great life and to be successful, and if you keep on reading, you will find out the things that will get
you there.
Dimensions of Health In life, there is something called psychosocial health. There are many
dimensions to this health, but I am going to explain four of them. The first dimension is Mental
Health, and this is the thinking part of psychosocial health. This part is where you have the ability
to do many things as to solve problems, interpret, to sense, perceive, and to also evaluate what is
happening. The next dimension is Emotional Health, this is the part where you feel love, hate, joy,
anxiety, and sustains borderline emotions such as hope and care. Also, it carries emotions that
result from harm, loss, but also from benefits. There is another dimension called Spiritual Health,
which is the part that describes the mean and purpose of life. It is the part that contains your music,
nature, and the belief of your religion. The last type of dimensional health is Social Health, this
type of health is when you have social skills and you use them whenever you interact

John Keats Poetry Synthesis Essay
For this source, the focus was on a section of the book that was about John Keats. The problem
this source is addressing is an emphasis on Keats and what he was focusing on when he wrote. It
opens with a quote from Keats: Difficulties nerve the spirit of a man. (298) This is a problem that
this source presents: the difficulties that Keats dealt with in his short life, specifically in the end,
and how it affected his poetry. The source speaks mostly about Keats love for nature and how
sensuous he was about it. Even though that is the opposite of the poems I want to focus on in my
project, I still felt like this source was informative in the ways of which Keats was inspired in his
other works. He s stated to having an intense and faithful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The sonnet was caught between a neo classical form and the now sentimental form. More feelings
were being added to the sonnet, not just love and fame but now solitude, nature, mortality, and the
like were becoming muses for the sonnet and what was inspiring authors to write them. These
sonnets were starting to address more serious and public themes, possibly to become better
connected with their audience? The source mentions the beginning of the Romantic sonnet and
how it was starting to stray away from imitation and beginning to find its own originality. Keats
was known to be an experimenter of the sonnet. The source discusses the issues that came about as
the sonnet transitioned into the Romantic period and the way it opened up for deeper feelings.
More subject matter was being written about, like disappointed love, radical politics, the natural
world, friendship, art and aesthetics, historical and political figures, religion and spirituality. (173)
Is this why Keats sonnets were so different and not easily put in chronological order? His sonnets
(the good and the bad) were about different subjects (mostly about nature?) How does the added
emotional depth impact the sonnet form? The approach this source is giving is how the sonnet was
starting to come from developing lonely, sentimental, affectionate feelings and a growing interest in
nature. It

A Future Chief Executive Officer
Thought experiment #2 Carley Hansbrough
As a future Chief Executive Officer there are several things I would want to strategize after
viewing the video concerning the financial economy. There is massive change that is going to hit
our economy. We have to prepare and create solutions to defeat disaster that is head towards us.
The Accelerated Crash Course presented by Chris Martenson, reviews three things in vast detail
concerning our natural inhabitants and our economic standing. These three things are: Economy,
energy, and environment. These three E s show how our world will soon be in a downturn. With
our global economy and many others suffering from major debt we are not able to achieve a logical
way to dissolve our own debt.
There are four parts that he discussed which make up the economy and that has brought us to the
changes that have occurred. Exponential profit growth in our economy has lost it value because
of the way many view the dollar bill today. There are many that see it as being readily available
and in our current state it is not. Exponential growth can be described as things that grow over time
such as stocks and bonds. Money can be described as an entitlement to something however, not
wealth. The perceived value of money will either have inflation or deflation. The amount of money
that is being created is causing the value of it to decrease. We must bring more value back to our
money system and this will cause growth throughout our economy. The

Effects Of Driving Drunk Driving
Driving drunk impairs you while you re driving and can impair your judgment to make decisions
and judge things. Drunk driving doesn t just effect you. It can effect a lot of people in big ways
such as losing a family member and changing some ones life as if you paralyzed them or
something like that. I did not know that alcoholgot into your blood stream and went into your brain
in like 20 to 40 minutes. Also I did not know that you are impaired if the alcohol in your blood
stream was 0.08. Those videos were super sad because they all lost loved ones or they were
severely injured. I would feel terrible if I was drunk and hit someone. I couldn t forgive myself I
don t think, so I m not going to drink and drive or not even drink. Also you can

  • 3. The Aggression Scale Movie Aggression scale is a film about trauma. Specifically, coping with trauma by using anger. An unjust event shattered Owen and Lauren s lives. Mobsters are coming to reclaim money stolen by their father and kill the family for the father s sins. When the mobsters arrive Lauren in the shower and Owen is already scheming a plan of attack. What the mobsters do not know is that Owen has a diagnosed behavioral problem. Aggression. The trauma we act out is guided our place in ideological systems. Gender interprets our trauma in terms of weakness and power. Masculinity teaches trains boys that manliness is defined by toleration of pain. While the film justifies Owen s violence as vengeance against home invaders and attacks by bullies this does not tell the whole story. Lauren, Owen s stepsister, on the other hand, reacts to trauma differently. The only clue we are given about her history is the scars on her wrists. Some unknown event has rattled its way into her brain. In all likelihood, she was the victim of someone s whims or dealt a bad hand of genetics. Whatever is the cause of Laurens tragedy, she directs her aggression inwards. Internalizing the aggressor and re victimizing herself. The scene about midway through the film where Lauren respectively stabs one of the mobsters is telling. Unlike Owen who is calm and numbly collected when he traps and hunts the mobsters, Lauren screams while she repetitively stabs the mobster. From her depths, something larger than the violence is bellowing. The opposite of relief. Lauren is crossing a line from victim to something ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Ford Pinto Research Paper A ball of fires comes from the small compact car called the Ford Pinto. Just a touch of the bumper will cause injury and death to happen in this car. This car has been known through time to be a very dangerous car. The history of the car, the way the car was designed and made, and the aftermath and problems it caused prove why this car is such a dangerous car. The car itself was the start of an era for small compact cars. The idea for the Ford Pinto started in about 1968 when car companies were trying to create small compact cars for little money. Ford s President at the time, Lee Iaccoca, did not want his company to sit back and let the Japanese control the small car industry( ). After years of modeling and designing, the Ford Pinto ... The PInto was a simple car but had one minor flaw in its design; the fuel tank. The Fuel tank that was installed on the Ford Pinto was arguably the most dangerous fuel tank system known to man( ). The reason it s the most dangerous fuel system is because it s vulnerable to rear end collisions. Once a collision has happened the fuel tanks filler neck on the tank would tear off and pour gasoline on the ground( ). The placement of the tank on the car also cause problems. Once the car was hit braces, bolts and other sharp metals would puncture the tank and cause spillage there( ). Ford had tested this problem in crash test to diagnose the car. 8 /11 Pintos had a ruptures in the tank and would cause serious injuries( ). After the test had been analyzed and reviewed Ford saw that there was a problem with the tank design but to fix the problem they would have to increase the cost of the car for the public. To fix the problem it would cost 11 dollars more per car to sell and that would put the cost of the car past there requirment ( ). To determine whether it was a worthy change to fix the car, a cost benefit analysis was made( ). A cost benefit analysis is a comparison of all ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Comparing And Contrasting Christianity And Islam Comparing and Contrasting Christianity and Islam Religion is a guide to live a life that offers a fixed set of morals, as well as something to hold onto in times of misfortune and remarkable miracles. It is something that one will always grasp for, obey, and learn from as they carry on with their everyday lives. Christianity, which stands as the most practiced religion in the world, and Islam , which stands second, both portray how something that starts off so small can grow to enormous proportions and bring abundant rejoice and enlightenment to ones life. Christianity and Islam differ from each other because one bases its beliefs on the Bible while the other focuses on the Qur an. One also has seven layers of Hell, while the other does not. The two are similar because they have analogous outlines of how the human race should live; for Christianity it is the Ten Commandments and for Islam it is the Five Pillars. Another way they are similar is that both have judgment take place after death occurs. The writing of the Bible took many years and multiple authors to portray the teachings of God. On the other hand, Muhammad individually recorded the Qur an the holy book of Islam. Though Muhammad recorded the Qur an, God was the one that told him what should be written. Having said this, the two differ immensely. Firstly, Christians believe that Jesuswas resurrected from the dead after three days. Muslims, on the other hand, believe that ... Part of the course to which the task refers: Part 4 Literature, a Critical Study Prescribed Question: How and why is a social group represented in a particular way? My critical response will: в—ЏShow how the males are portrayed in the text в—ЏShow how Stanley is the alpha male and what his role is в—ЏShow how Mitch is the omega male and what his role is In A Streetcar Named Desire, men are the social groups represented with these roles alpha, beta, omega. Males are portrayed as a big part in Tennessee s book, which shows the respect and rights they hold. The men are shown this way to give off their looks and personality. The way things are set up in the book shows the understanding of each male characters and where they stand. The top dog Stanley is the alpha, Pablo and Steve are betas and Mitch is the omega. For example,in the book the author writes, Stanley doesn t give me a regular allowance; he likes to pay bills himself. (pg 78) . Making it seemed as if Stanley is the man and has it all under control . The author wants the audience to know that Stanley has the money so he is the one in charge and what he want has to be done, and done his way. But on the other hand the author introduces Mitch as a very soft, awkward man that is a mamas boy .The book quotes, Hurry back and we ll fix you a sugar tit. (pg 48). The quote refers that Mitch is as a man who can t do anything on his own and he still is a baby and lives off his mom and has her do things for him. Tennessee used different reference to show how the men are described in, A Streetcar Named Desire. Alphas are always the first or leaders in the group. While betas back the alphas up and got their backs. And last are omegas they are the loser. Betas are more anti and careless of what others care, they don t care what others think. Steve and Pablo are kind and they try to not interfere in much of what goes on which are characteristics of a beta. Stanley is forced, pinioned by the two men, into the bedroom. (pg 63). We are first introduced to the importance of popularity and physical appearance when Willy is speaking to his wife, Linda, about their son Biff. Biff Loman is lost, says Willy. The most significant example, however, is also one that takes place in one of Willy s flashbacks. Again, he is speaking to his sons about becoming successful. As the attention turned to defending Christianity, the Apologist Fathers used their writings to counter the false claims that Christianity was faced with. B Nature of the Relationship Between the Parties Paul was originally engaged by a personnel hire company to undertake training provided by TeleCall for work in the TeleCall call centre. This means that Paul is not an employee of TeleCall and as such his relationship with the firm does not fall within an established category of duty. Therefore, a duty of care can only be established on the basis of the salient features approach identified in Sullivan v Moody. C Reasonable Foreseeability A duty of care cannot be established solely on the basis of reasonable foreseeability, but it is an important consideration. Additionally, the paper will examine depression as a presenting problem and the use (application) of Cognitive Therapy theory to treating a person with depression. Cognitive Therapy Theory as Applied to Depression Review of Cognitive Therapy Theory Cognitive Therapy (CT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are used interchangeable. Cognitive therapy is a series of short term treatments that teaches specific skills. Aaron T. Further, the authors indicates that in CT the role of the therapist is to teach the individual how to acquire the basic skills to recognize negative thoughts and images that causes the emotional experience and how to block out those thoughts and images that are believed to be the contributing factor (p. 789). Jarrett, Vittengl, Clark, and Thase (2011) implies that the purpose of CT is to teach a person to identify and modify relations between thoughts, feelings, and behavior so that it will help alleviate emotional distress. There is a lot of symbolism in the story, but it also talks about the difference between the gender roles of the characters in the story and their approach to the natural world. This is a major facet especially in the time period the story takes place which is during the 1880 s. The author shows moments where genderroles fit the norms of the times but what is more fascinating is the focus given on the changing gender norms that conflict with the time period. I will give my opinion of the gender roles and also discuss two other opinions from other literary analysis by Aubrey E. Plourde and Effie Heotis. During my research, I discovered the roles that men and women played during the 1880 s and how they fit into the character s roles of A White Heron . Men were considered more strong, intelligent, and courageous. Women on the other hand were to have virtues of modesty, compassion, and chastity. They were driven by their emotions. Also, women were expected to be passive and men aggressive. We see this type of passive description in the story when it says, She did not dare to look boldly at the young man (Jewett 439). The essay highlights the unsustainability of snowmaking as a short term solution, and raises concerns of the longevity of the ski industry. Currently, the Australian ski industry comprises of ten operational ski resorts (Figure 1) with 0.15% of the continent (Green and Pickering 2009, p. 271) regularly receiving snow due to the low attitude of mountains. Consequently, decline in snow cover on top of limited snow availability pose significant difficulties to the longevity of the ski industry. Persuasive Essay No On Traveling To Mars Darren Gamble Mr. Stewart ERWC 12 17 April 2017 No On Traveling To Mars Since the beginning of time, people have been curious, and are always trying to explore. But now it is 2017, and we have to understand what we should do and what we shouldn t do. People today have a good idea about the hazards of space travel and know the consequences space travel can have for people. And after considering Andy Weir s statement regarding travel to Mars, I am of the opinion that we as a nation should not fund a manned mission to Mars in the near future because it will be very expensive, we have a larger need to explore places here on Earth, and it purposes a large danger to the people traveling in space. The exposure to radiation can cause cataracts, brain damage, and cancer. Weightlessness can cause muscle mass loss, bone mass loss, and bad circulation. Author of Humans may dream of traveling to Mars, but our bodies aren t built for it, Charles Wohlforth and Amanda Hendrix explains Doctor astronauts working on the International Space Station in 2009 also discovered that living in weightlessness can damage the optic nerve. In the absence of gravity, cerebral spinal fluid stops circulating. On voyages of more than a year, that could lead to blindness or contribute to dementia, [3]. This is a big problem when it comes to space travel, and should be NASA s biggest priority. In conclusion, traveling to Mars may seem like a great idea, but it really isn t. After considering Andy Weir s statement regarding travel to Mars, I am of the opinion that we as a nation should not fund a manned mission to Mars in the near future because it will be very expensive, we have a larger need to explore places here on Earth, and it purposes a large danger to the people traveling in space. • 42. Essay on Merrill Lynch Internship Experience This summer I was offered an internship for Merrill Lynch in my hometown of Towson, Maryland. For eight weeks, I worked five days a week for an average of thirty hours. There are numerous Merrill Lynch offices in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. area. Offices in Annapolis and Baltimore are greater in numbers and advisors. The Towson region only has about fifteen advisors and four client assistants. However, almost all of those advisors started their careers in Baltimore. The Towson office was for more established advisors who already have a distinguished client list. Because the office was much smaller, I was the only intern for the summer, which proved to have both its ups and downs. On one hand, being the only intern gave me... For example, if a client had made a significant profit over the years, I was to create a CRC where the assets are numerical rather than in percentages, and vice versa if a client had lost money. Another task I performed was assisting two advisors on their new presentation to for perspective clients. I mostly worked on constructing a bullish support line for several of the clients. The bullish support line determines when there it is the right time to sell your stocks. It is very similar to work I had done in the past weeks with the point and figure analysis. To begin this work, I took a list of clients that had recently bought new shares of stock. It s true that the majority of the clients deal strictly with mutual funds or annuities, but there were numerous cases where clients decide to buy stocks. With the list of clients, I researched the stocks they had bought. Of course, there must be a buy signal, which the support line will indicate. Once the line indicates a buy, you make a mark at a period of time when ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 44. Could A Machine Be Conscious 1 Could a machine be conscious? This question is often dismissed as simple by those that would say yes in response. The usual claim made by the pro camp is that man is a biological machine and is conscious, ergo, a machine is conscious. If we, humans, are truly biological machines and we are at the same time conscious then I would agree that yes, categorically, a machine could be conscious. But is it really that simple? I contend that it is a more difficult problem but not that it is a complicated one, merely one of ambiguity which, once resolved, leads the contemplator to the same conclusion as I do that in fact, no, a machine could not be conscious. I propose that those who argue the yes case that a machine can be conscious are, in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They are all actions definable in their own right, which, I contend need not be sub categories of, or allocated to the definition of consciousness and, unlike the hard problem of consciousness which we will come to shortly, they can be explained by science in a physical context and therefore be impersonated by machinery. They have physical qualities which are an important distinction in the 3 concept of Artificial Intelligence which claims the ability of machines to achieve consciousness, arising in theory out of intelligence. The most prominent example of the concept of a machine being intelligent in the manner of this so called consciousness is the Turing test (Turing, 1950) which, rather tellingly, was originally called the Imitation Game . The test was designed to see if a machine could fool a human into thinking it was itself another human, and although somewhat successful with Eliza (Weizenbaum 1976), the premise was quickly, and I opine correctly, attacked by Searle (1980:417 57) in his Chinese Room thought experiment, proving that a machine can simulate communication without understanding and is therefore not thinking in the way humans, or perhaps other living things do. Humans exhibit the ability to pass tests without understanding the material and, I contend, this is what a machine simulates, the function of memory, not intelligence. Even if it could fool a ... It all goes forever but there is one thing that you have to be aware of. The things we do to ourselves as to other people, and it all starts with our own health, to living longer, and all the way to making decisions. These are the things to have a great life and to be successful, and if you keep on reading, you will find out the things that will get you there. Dimensions of Health In life, there is something called psychosocial health. There are many dimensions to this health, but I am going to explain four of them. The first dimension is Mental Health, and this is the thinking part of psychosocial health. This part is where you have the ability to do many things as to solve problems, interpret, to sense, perceive, and to also evaluate what is happening. The next dimension is Emotional Health, this is the part where you feel love, hate, joy, anxiety, and sustains borderline emotions such as hope and care. Also, it carries emotions that result from harm, loss, but also from benefits. There is another dimension called Spiritual Health, which is the part that describes the mean and purpose of life. It is the part that contains your music, nature, and the belief of your religion. The last type of dimensional health is Social Health, this type of health is when you have social skills and you use them whenever you interact ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. John Keats Poetry Synthesis Essay For this source, the focus was on a section of the book that was about John Keats. The problem this source is addressing is an emphasis on Keats and what he was focusing on when he wrote. It opens with a quote from Keats: Difficulties nerve the spirit of a man. (298) This is a problem that this source presents: the difficulties that Keats dealt with in his short life, specifically in the end, and how it affected his poetry. The source speaks mostly about Keats love for nature and how sensuous he was about it. Even though that is the opposite of the poems I want to focus on in my project, I still felt like this source was informative in the ways of which Keats was inspired in his other works. He s stated to having an intense and faithful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The sonnet was caught between a neo classical form and the now sentimental form. More feelings were being added to the sonnet, not just love and fame but now solitude, nature, mortality, and the like were becoming muses for the sonnet and what was inspiring authors to write them. These sonnets were starting to address more serious and public themes, possibly to become better connected with their audience? The source mentions the beginning of the Romantic sonnet and how it was starting to stray away from imitation and beginning to find its own originality. Keats was known to be an experimenter of the sonnet. The source discusses the issues that came about as the sonnet transitioned into the Romantic period and the way it opened up for deeper feelings. More subject matter was being written about, like disappointed love, radical politics, the natural world, friendship, art and aesthetics, historical and political figures, religion and spirituality. (173) Is this why Keats sonnets were so different and not easily put in chronological order? His sonnets (the good and the bad) were about different subjects (mostly about nature?) How does the added emotional depth impact the sonnet form? The approach this source is giving is how the sonnet was starting to come from developing lonely, sentimental, affectionate feelings and a growing interest in nature. It ... • 47. A Future Chief Executive Officer Thought experiment #2 Carley Hansbrough As a future Chief Executive Officer there are several things I would want to strategize after viewing the video concerning the financial economy. There is massive change that is going to hit our economy. We have to prepare and create solutions to defeat disaster that is head towards us. The Accelerated Crash Course presented by Chris Martenson, reviews three things in vast detail concerning our natural inhabitants and our economic standing. These three things are: Economy, energy, and environment. These three E s show how our world will soon be in a downturn. With our global economy and many others suffering from major debt we are not able to achieve a logical way to dissolve our own debt. There are four parts that he discussed which make up the economy and that has brought us to the changes that have occurred. Exponential profit growth in our economy has lost it value because of the way many view the dollar bill today. There are many that see it as being readily available and in our current state it is not. Exponential growth can be described as things that grow over time such as stocks and bonds. Money can be described as an entitlement to something however, not wealth. The perceived value of money will either have inflation or deflation. The amount of money that is being created is causing the value of it to decrease. We must bring more value back to our money system and this will cause growth throughout our economy. The ...
