A Review Of Adaptive Technique For Image Super Resolution
A Review of Adaptive Technique for Image Super resolution
Prof. S. P. Bhosale
Assistant Professor , Department of electronics,
A.I.S.S.M.S COE, Pune, India spbhosale@aisssmscoe.com ABSTRACT
Increase in resolution of image has been one driving factor in the development and progress of the
fields related to the capture, processing and display of digital images and video. Number of authors
has carried out research on various techniques on super resolution algorithms which are classified into
two basic categories: single frame super resolution and the more common multi frame super resolution
. Single frame super resolution is a very ill posed problem due to the lack of any new additional
information. Multi frame Super resolution on the other hand presents more information in the form of
Low Resolution (LR) frames that are displaced from each other making it a more tractable problem. A
related problem to super Resolution (SR) techniques is image restoration, which is well established
area in image processing application. An other problem related to SR reconstruction is image
interpolation that has been used to increase the size of a single image.
Keywords
Adaptive technique, super resolution technique, frequency domain method.
1. INTRODUCTION
A demand for higher resolution is seen in many discipline including bio medical imaging, satellite and
astronomical imaging, chemical and military surveillance and remote sensing. But the current state of

How useful are models of self confidence in deepening our understanding of sporting performance?
Confidence has been outlined as an important and essential mental skill in sporting performance by
both athletes and coaches according to Vealey and Chase, 2008. There is a general consensus of
support by the literature for a positive relationship between confidence and performance (Moritz,
Feltz, Fahrbach, Mack, 2000 cited by Machida, Ward and Vealey, 2012). In developing an
understanding of these models of confidence and efficacy it has become a primary target to increase
the confidence of athletes at specific psychological interventions (Hanton Jones, 1999; Mamassis
Doganis, 2004 cited by Machida, Ward and Vealey, 2012). There are two ... Show more content on

First, enactive mastery experiences were the most powerful source of self efficacy. Second, golfers
maintained high self efficacy over time by recalling prior success, strategically framing experiences,
and enlisting supportive verbal persuasions from themselves and from others. Finally, self efficacy
influenced professional golfers thought patterns, outcome expectations, and emotional states. Findings
support and refine the theoretical tenets of Bandura s social cognitive theory. (Valiante and Morris,
2013). Sport confidence is defined as the beliefs in individual s capability to be successful in sport
(Vealey, 1986). The sport confidence model builds on Bandura s model of self efficacy. Vealey et al,
(1998) identified nine sources of sport confidence that are unique to the context of competitive sport.
These include mastery (i.e. improving skills in the sporting context), demonstration of ability (i.e.
showing off abilities to others or out performing an opponent), physical /mental preparation (i.e.
feeling physically and mentally prepared for competition) and physical self presentation (i.e. one s
physical self image) (Vealey and Chase, 2008). A study investigating the effect of a decrease in
confidence on the performance in a well learned task, (Woodman, Akehurst, Hardy and Beattie, 2010)
in this case they used skipping, concluded that to an extent a lack in self confidence or

Bhopal Chemical Report
Just after midnight on December 3, 1984, a pesticide plant in Bhopal, India had a chemical leak
accident. The chemical that was released into the air is called methyl isocyanate, or MIC, used to
make pesticides. This chemical is tremendously harmful and fatal to humans, livestock, and crops.
Only a short term exposure may cause death or unfavorable health effects. The slums of Bhopal and
its residents that surrounded the plant which were mostly affected by the gas suffered dearly. An
estimated 8,000 people dead and about 300,000 more suffering from its effects. Bloated carcasses of
cattle dotted the streets. Tree and plant leaves were yellow and brittle. Corpses littered the streets and

New people also arrive daily at the station seeking for jobs in the big city.
All over the place in Bhopal, religion is apparent. Hindus are seen praying to their gods for a safe trip.
They leave religious paintings, created with chalk, powder, and rose petals, on the floor of the station
(13). Eighty percent of Indians are loyal of Hinduism. Although the leading religion of India s people
is Hinduism, the majority of Bhopal s residents are Muslims.
Bhopal s Muslims worship mosques, and one of the biggest mosques in the world is the Taj ul
Masajid, which is located south of the city. They worship there five times a day to pray and also pray
at other numerous mosques around the city.
Muslims have always been in conflict with the Hindu majority (13). It all began when Muslims first
invaded India. And their disputes still continue today.
In India, there are three main classes of people: top, middle, and bottom class. The top class includes
people of such sort, such as managers and officials who work in government and industry, wealthy
businessmen, engineers, doctors, and other professions. They all live in a new section of the city, with
paved roads, and items that other unfortunate people don t have like air conditioning. These new and
modern glitters are created especially for them. And all of these is in the best location of Bhopal,

Teen Pop Music s Influence On Women
Influential people can encourage people, make people inspired to do good or bad. Alessia Cara is a
teen pop music singer that inspires people to think better about themselves and in a better light saying,
Stay true to who you are, even though that sounds cliche . It s something that s important doing what
feels right for you. Clearly this quote shows that she is caring for others and is using her influence
people to make sure that people stay true to themselves. Michaela DePrince said Never be afraid to be

Brother Yun And Eric Liddell
Brother Yun and Eric Liddell were both born in the 1900 s and were missionaries. Though they lived
very different lives, they both gave up what was important to them in their earthly lives to gain a
reward in their eternal lives and bring others to Christ. They were able to bring Jesus into their daily
lives and fulfill his purpose for their life. Even when there were many hardships, they never gave up.
When God called on them they answered, and they never missed or turned down an opportunity to
bring the word of the Lord to someone in need of it.
Brother Yun, a missionary in China, became a Christian after his father was miraculously healed from
cancer that had no other explanation except that it was the work of God. Ever since what happened, ...

While in prison the guards and other cell mates were not nice to him. The police wanted to know
where he was preaching and who was with him, because he would not give them this information they
would beat and torture him till he couldn t move or speak. Some of his prison sentences were worse
than others, they used electric batons to beat him, urinated on him, and even beat his shins so bad they
broke. They even ridiculed him about his faith saying that God can t help him, but because of all this
he was even more on fire for the lord and trusted that he had a plan for him being there. Eric Liddell
was not as badly beaten, although at times he was ridiculed for being a Christian and ended up going
to prison. At one point in time Eric Liddell got the opportunity to leave prison but gave it up so that
they would release a woman that was pregnant, he sacrificed his freedom for hers. Later on Eric ended
up getting sick and dying in prison.
Even though both Yun and Eric faced many trials in their lives, they did it for the Lord to bring people
to know him so they do not die lost. Through all their ministry and hardships they never gave up on
God and he certainly never gave up on him. As Yun told some of the prisoners after he baptized them
in the bathroom of the jail Some men live free in this life, only to face an eternal prison in hell. You re
in prison in this life, but from today your names have been written in heaven and you are free! Even
though they are prisoners in this life they will live freely with Christ in

Essay On Concussions In Sports
The effects of too many concussions and other injuries sustained during contact sports can carry on for
the rest of your life if the case is severe enough. Most of the time, however, concussions are very
minor and only require a short time period of rest. If enough concussions do occur during an athlete s
life, say the amount a professional football player or hockey player might have endured, chronic
traumatic encephalopathy could take place. Chronic traumatic encephalopathy occurs when an athlete
endures repeated blows to the head that resulted in concussions or a secondary blow to the head while
the brain is still recovering from a concussion. Usually, the brain returns back to its normal state if it
has the proper testing and time to heal. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sports are not for everybody, not only because of talent level, but because a certain mindset is to be
had to be successful at any sport. A commitment is made. Forty hours of practice a week, the average
amount of time spent practicing for football players, all for a one hour game, the average time of one
game of college football, takes dedication. That is not even counting the time spent icing, resting, and
studying the playbook or film, not to mention the school work to be kept up with for college and high
school students. Most athletes have become used to the grind and juggling three or four time
consuming activities all at one time while being successful at each. Waking up at the break of dawn,
following a schedule, and suffering consequences when a bad choice is made creates character and
discipline that is often needed for many little league, high school, and college athletes. The most
important non tangible thing sports teach anyone is how to get back up after falling, how to get
knocked down but get right back up and keep going, how to move on from failure and overcome it,
focusing on the next important part of life. These skills of determination and courage taught through
sports are essential for being successful in any part of life and are hard to come by anywhere

U.s. Vice President Of Strategic Planning Essay
Executive Summary Our project report is based upon the Japanese Company Taka that has been
making top of the line heavy duty work boots. The vice president of the Strategic Planning has asked
me to come up with a strategy that will help the company enter into the US foreign market.
We will have to first explore and analyze the market on heavy boots in the United States before
entering our product into their market. There has been a report created by myself that will go into
detail on how we can achieve this goal. The parts that will be covered in this reports are as followed:
introduction into the brand, mission, analysis, strategy, goals, and so on. Going through this plan will
show how we can enter the United States Market.
Introduction
The Vice President of Strategic Planning has given me the task of creating a preliminary strategy for
entering one or more foreign market. This company is a multinational company and makes heavy duty
work boots for consumers. The company is called Taka and resides in Japan, but are looking into
entering the United States market. The boots were originally made for people who work in
construction. It became popular with its comfort and quality that it is now made for other professions
or just for style and are being made in the United States. The boots that Taka makes are comfortable
and people are able to work in areas that are snowy or hazardous without any problems (Holm, 2006).
Taka co. has been selling its boots in malls and retail

Discrimination Based On Gender Discrimination
Discrimination, especially discrimination based on gender, should be looked at through Deontology.
This is because discrimination based on gender affects the rights of many, requires duties of other to
not discriminate and have respect for others, and can have large consequences. It is important we look
at rights, duties, and consequences rather than only evaluate gender discrimination based on its
consequences in order to be able to create a way to virtuously handle gender.
While gender discrimination can affect men it focuses more strongly on women. Many women today
are viewed through stereotypes and stigmatisms of what they should do or how they should act. They
are seen by society as weak, inferior, and incapable when compared to men. For instance, it is the
stereotype that women should get married at a certain age and stay at home cleaning, cooking, and
raising kids rather than be out in the work force. However, women have a right to dream and work
towards success just like a man can. They have the right to work, chose to have or not have children,
and even have the right to choose not to clean their homes. Just as men have the right to stay at home
and cook, raise kids, and clean if they so choose. These decisions do not make men and women less or
more of a man or women. Rather they are natural rights that society often looks down on. The
consequences of this discrimination is the emotional damage to women and idea that they are not good
for anything else, but making

Impact Of Disaster On The World
Impacts of Disaster It was just a normal day for me. I followed my daily routine. I woke up, had
breakfast and was ready to prepare for my finals. Just when I was planning tomorrow s schedule,
suddenly, I felt a jolt. My whole body trembled and before I could figure out what was going on,
books started to fall from my shelves and pictures hanging on the walls started falling. When I looked
out of my window, the surrounding area was filled with dirt and smoke. I saw people running in the
middle of the road to save themselves from that disaster. Immediately I ran outside of my room. Just
like myself, my parents and my brother were also running for their life. On the way, my father lead us
towards the back of our house, where there was some empty space to protect ourselves from the
disaster. I had just experienced a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake. I have never thought that a
high magnitude earthquake would ever come in this way. Literally, the whole thing was shaking
heavily. Even when we were observing from outside, the TV antenna on the top of my house was still
shaking. The high magnitude earthquake lasting for long time only lead to one thing: enormous
devastation of my city. All the things happening around me was like in the 2012 movie. Collapsing tall
buildings, and temples along with death of numerous number of peoples really shocked me. It was
difficult for me to figure out what was going on around that field. I saw people from my

The Zodiac Signs
Hi! I m a Gemini. So, what s your sign? I m never at a loss for words, but your beauty leaves me
speechless. Although these sound like cheesy pick up lines from the sixties or seventies, there can be a
valid reason as to why people use them.
The zodiac is a band of the sky along which the Sun, the Moon, and most of the planets move. It is
divided into twelve parts, with each named for a nearby constellation. The twelve zodiac or
astrological signs are associated with four essential elements, which are used to describe a person s
place in the world. Those elements are air, water, earth, and fire. All of these must co exist peacefully
and work together in sync in order to achieve balance in life. The twelve zodiac signs are assigned to
certain dates and houses that portray and describe the characteristics and personality of an individual.
Since my birthday is on May 26th, I am a Gemini. In order to be considered a Gemini, an individual s
birthday would have to fall between the approximate dates of May 21st and June 20th. Just like the
eleven other signs, Gemini has its own traits and characteristics that are said to be associated with a
person born within those dates. However, traits that are specified for a certain sign do not always have
to match that person. There can be instances where a person is considered to be a particular sign, but
in reality they are not anything like it.
Gemini, one of the zodiac constellations, is the sign of the twins. It is the

Wearing The United States Army Uniform
Introduction
It is being known that clothes make a man or a woman and by all means, this is a true statement
regarding the United States military. Soldier s uniforms symbolize everything from branch, rank,
position, loyalty, and prestigious. The image of a sharp outfit creates a psychological, moral booster
and spirit de corps of Soldiers. As a general rule, Soldiers are identified by their uniforms. Each
uniform has multiple components that have a legacy and a history behind. Although Soldiers have
pride in wearing the United States Army Uniform, a few of them don t know the origin and purpose of
each part of the uniform. Every part has its purpose, and it was strategically made based on the
necessities in the battlefield.

Uniforms design, colors, and attributes were influenced of European armies.
The Camouflage
Historically, military uniforms were primarily about identity, pride, and recognition; however, at the
beginning of the twentieth century, military uniforms become less decorative and more attuned to the
need of the Soldiers This was the though when it comes to camouflage. A Soldier s life might depend
on it. Camouflage was first understood by hunters as far as from prehistoric time. These hunters
observed and understood how an animal had a protection beyond just teeth and claws. They
discovered that most animals could mix it with a natural background such as trees, leaves, and rocks,
make them undetectable to other animals and humans. The military has little used at the beginning of
these techniques. There are few examples of the use of camouflage in ancient and medieval warfare
because camouflage was rare at that time. A well known example of camouflage was during the 17th
century when William Shakespeare described the medieval warriors that were ready to march on
Macbeth at his fortress at Dunsinane (Newark, Newart, Borsarello, 1996).
The Headgear
The Director of the Non Commissioned Officer Heritage and Education Center, Mr. Mark R. Henry,
stated that historically, nations copy the design of the uniform from the most successful units in
combat and without a doubt, the United States Army did that.

My Puppet Making Journey
In the following essay I will be discussing and explaining the various aspects of my puppet making
journey. This includes the style I have chosen to use, as well as what and who influenced me and how
I plan on using this puppet. I decided to go for the shadow puppetry method.
What exactly is shadow puppetry (also known as shadow play)? In order for something to be
considered as shadow play you only need about three things, namely a source of light, a form (can be
a figure or your hand etc.) and a wall/screen/surface to project onto. If you are like me and try to make
a dog or an ostrich with your hands every chance you get then you can say you have had experience in
shadow puppetry.
I decided to use shadow puppetry because I remember watching a shadow puppet show when I was
younger (about six or seven years old) and it was incredibly captivating yet so simple. The fact that
the images were just silhouettes gave my colourful imagination the chance to paint them any way I
wanted to. I cannot remember the exact show I watched but I do remember the feeling it left me with.
I hope I can achieve the same wonder with my puppets. A court poet during the reign ... Show more

I cut them out and made holes in some for the light to shine through (perforation). I then attached
skewers to the back of each puppet with tape. For the bigger puppet of George Carlin I drew out his
whole face then traced his jaw on a separate piece of paper. I then cut off his initially drawn jaw and
attached the traced one for mobility. One skewer keeps him upright and the other moves his jaw. I
constructed a theatre made out of cardboard. I took a cardboard box and cut out a stage which I
replaced with white paper/screen. There is an opening for my hands in order to put on a show. My
light source will be the flashlight from my phone. I enjoyed this whole process because I had to make
use of my drawing skills as

the state s recorded history. Due to this drought, more than a thousand of California s residents have

wash their dishes, or do anything with water. Because of the overuse of groundwater, a law is being

The crippling drought is expected to cost the state $2.2 billion in 2014 and put more than 17,000 farm

The Causes Of Suicidal Ideation
Suicidal Ideation
Most suicidal people do not want death, they just want the pain to stop, so how can the pain they feel
be resolved? The point of my paper is to find out the reasons that people become suicidal and how to
prevent it from happening. People contemplate suicide till the end so by understanding the source of
their pain, it is possible to prevent the unfortunate outcome of suicide. Don t ignore even the smallest
of signs of suicide.
Suicidal ideation is the idea of ending one s life. Suicidal ideations may be the result of loss, anxiety
disorders, depression, substance abuse, and problems in other areas of a person s life that feel so
overwhelming suicide seems like the only way to cope [Pacific Grove Hospital]. People in painful
situations struggle to find solutions to end their suffering.
People who are suicidal can often be very manipulative with their emotions, hiding their darkest
thoughts and instead showing everyone happiness, so how do we really know if someone is showing
suicidal symptoms? Some symptoms include change in appetite, substance abuse, distance from once
loved things, self criticism, psychosis, paranoia, talking about death. Suicide ideations are often a
symptom of result of undiagnosed or untreated mental health disorders [Valley Behavioral]. Suicidal
people may be manipulative with their emotions, but they can t put on a happy face at every moment,
so watch them carefully and confront them when you see some of the symptoms or dual disorders.
The causes for suicide are not thought to be the result of a single factor, but rather the combined forces
of genetic, physical, and environmental risk factors. Individuals who have a family history of mental
illnesses do have a higher risk, however this is not always the case. The effects of genetics on suicide
are due to inheriting mental illness and by inheriting traits. Several mental illnesses have genetic
influences and increase the risk of suicide. These include depression, bipolar disease, schizophrenia,
and some types of anxiety [Dr. Pat, About Kids Health]. Genetics have a large influence on suicidal
thoughts and mental illnesses, although it s not something you can prevent, you can protect yourself
and others

The KCOM Group VRIO Analysis
The KCOM Group VRIO Analysis
The core competency of our laggard, KCOM, is their strong focus on customers; KCOM s entire
organization is structured around the market they serve in order to deliver a high quality customer
experience. The Group focuses not solely on providing low cost for their customer s like TalkTalk
Telecom, but on listening closely to their customer s needs, in turn creating long term customer
relationships. Using Barney s VRIO analytic framework to assess this competency yields the
following:
VALUE? Yes, KCOM s focus on the customer provides an obvious customer value and competitive
advantage amongst its competitors.
RARENESS? Of course KCOM Group isn t the only wireless communication company that focuses
on their customers, but their focus on the customer operates at every level throughout the Group.
IMITABILITY? It isn t costly to focus on customers, but a good strategy must be in place in order for
it to be done correctly.
ORGANIZATION? Yes, KCOM as structured their organization around the distinct markets they
serve to deliver a high quality customer experience.
The KCOM Group s distinctive competency is their strategic relationship with BT Wholesale and
Phoenix IT. The strategic relationship with BT gives them both an extended market and network reach
through its access to BT s national network. The relationship with Phoenix gives them access to
industry leading field service engineering and maintenance services. After looking at the extended

Correlation Between Income And Infant Mortality
Evidence has persisted through the last century that people struggling under the pressures of poverty
often experience inferior lifestyles compared to those with higher incomes, however it is less apparent
to what degree income can truly affect the overall health and well being of different social classes.
People with higher income typically have better access to healthcare, education, freedom and equality
and in turn will on average have greater overall health, better occupations amongst many other
benefits but it is difficult to accurately establish to what extent these additional endowments actually
contribute to the well being and early health of their infants. And if there is indeed a connection
between income and infant mortality or birth weight, what other conditions must be held constant or
controlled in order for these connections to be statistically significant? Schady Smitz (2009) took the
direction of studying middle income country with specified regularity and extremity in economic
shocks to the system and then attempting to establish a connection with said shocks to the infant
mortality rates. They gathered relevant statistics from countries with over ten years of infant mortality
data and have at least two years of significant negative economic growth. The list of countries studied
was comprised of twelve middle income countries and five low income countries. Schady Smitz found
that only Armenia displayed a true counter cyclical connection between GDP

The Origin And Discoveries Of Electricity And Magnetism
This paper is mainly about the origin and discoveries of electricity and magnetism. It is solely a
summary of two natural phenomenon which have changed everything about our way of life and has
ushered us into a remarkable new age.
Firstly and most importantly, it is about the underlying idea of how magnetism and electricity have
come about, also it outlines and maps out the development and discoveries of sources of electricity
and magnetism by many inventors and the latter discoveries of mega production.
When I was a little boy, I used to wonder what causes lightning and thunder. When rain comes, I
sometimes see intermittent lightning for a while before you can hear the sound of a spark which is like
two short circuited power cables.
At school, we all learnt about matter, which consists of atoms and molecules and every atom has a
nucleus and electron(s), inside the nucleus contains an equal number of protons and neutrons. The
electrons revolve round the nucleus of the atom in order to keep it stable. Protons are positively
charged particles, neutrons are neutral and electrons are negative charge particles. The nucleus is
surrounded by shells; these are simply orbitals in which an electron(s) can be found. The number of
orbitals depends on how many electrons the atom has. The electrons which are in the outer most
orbitals have a tendency of being lost or shared by another atom in order to create a more stable
configuration.

Analysis Of The Tomb Painting Queen Nefertari And Isis
Analysis of the tomb painting Queen Nefertari and Isis, by an unknown artist.
Pigment painting on tomb walls.
Queen and Goddess
In this formal analysis, the subject is the wall painting Queen Nefertari and Isis, located in Nefertaris
tomb. The painting shows the ancient Egyptian Goddess Isis leading the Queen by the hand. Nefertari
lived around 1300 1255 BC and was the first and exclusively claimed wife of the Egyptian pharaoh
Ramses II.
When analyzing the artwork one can see the influence of what we now understand to be art form,
through the numerous art elements the painting of Queen Nefertari and Isis has. Starting with lines,
the artist uses many types of both regular and irregular, to create the hieroglyphics and the shape of
the women along with what they wear. The ancient Egyptians liked to have things in order and
consistent. We see the proof for this behind their canon of proportions method. In order to make
complex figures easier to depict, the traditional style and trademark of ancient Egyptian artworks
show everything drawn or carved to be two dimensional in shape. However, they also wanted to show
the aspects they valued the most as a society. As stated in the film How Art Made The World, in the
case of the human body ancient Egyptian chose to show each body part from its clearest angel; and as
a result of a keeping the figures 2 D, the chest is shown straight on, the face is shown in profile but the
eyes were drawn straight on, the arms and hands can be

The Giants Research Paper
The Giants have been one of the best teams in baseball for a few years now and it sure didn t look any
different this year, until the second half of the season. The Giants have made it to the postseason three
times since 2010 and won the World Series each time. The Giants are somewhat a hit and miss club
that is use to inconsistency. Unlike their counterpart, the Dodgers have made it to postseason since the
2013 season including this year, unfortunately, they haven t been able to get passed the NLCS in any
of those years. The Giants are in that same position this year, on the brink of victory or failure. As of
today, they are in the second Wild Card spot, but expect there to be quite a bit of shake ups until the
postseason starts. The Giants had the best ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since the Giants have been able to succeed at the highest level in the postseason for the times that they
have gone to the postseason in the most recent year, if they can make it into the playoffs, count on
them to be a factor. The biggest problem that they are going to have to face is their last regular season
series against the Dodgers. The Dodgers have risen to the occasion since the end of the first half of the
season and have played almost as well as the Cubs. The Wild Card race will most likely come down to
the final series of the regular season and that series with the Dodgers will determine their fate. The
Dodgers will be starting two of their best pitchers in Clayton Kershaw and Rich Hill and will finish
off the season with Brandon McCarthy. Fortunately, the Giants will start their best pitchers as well. In
recent years these games have been decided on the mound and that won t be any different form this
series. Whosever starting pitching can show up, that team will most likely win. Having said that, the
Dodgers in my opinion are playing too good and will most likely roll over the ailing Giants. Simply
put, the Dodgers are a better team and have been since

Strategies And Characteristics Of The Crowned Eagle In Africa
Everyone probably had a thought of being a specific animal for a period of time, perhaps at that
moment, she didn t want to be a human being. So she thought, A Crowned Eagle would be pretty
interesting. Not only does the name sound super cool and fascinating, but it is a large bird of prey, in
other words, it is the most powerful eagle. The Crowned Eagle won t have to have concerns about
getting eaten, and mostly food supply. Moreover, the Crowned Eagle could just enjoy life without
having to worry about most of the survival needs. Because the strategies and steps of how the eagle
hunts are fantastically amazing. It even has a partner to support on hunting the fast monkeys. Besides
the efficient hunting ability, it also has a strong build up body. The Crowned eagle has many firm body
parts that will help it to survive, such as the body mass, the strong talons, and the beak length.
Additionally, the flying ability that the Crowned eagle is able to do is beyond expectations. Being a
Crowned Eagle is an interesting thought with combinations of strong hunting skills, the powerful body
structure, and the beauty of flying.
The Crowned eagle is the most powerful eagle in Africa, in other words, the Crowned eagle is
considered the Africa s strongest predator. It s even eliminating over two heavier eagles: the Martial

Case Study Of B2B And Customer Experience
B2B and Customer Experience Ever found yourself returning to same restaurant again and again just
because you found the staff warm and attentive or buying from the same store just because you felt
that the employees were very attentive towards your needs and treated you in a special manner. Well,
that is customer experience for you. Customer experience is increasingly becoming a differentiating
factor for B2C companies. But is this the case for B2B companies? Let us have a look at the state of
customer experience in B2B companies. A recent research by Accenture reveals that only 23% of B2B
companies receive strong returns on their investments in improving customer experience. At the other
end of spectrum are those 20% which receive low or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First, they should refrain from replicating the successful practices from B2C companies as it is. The
reason behind this is that B2B customer experience is different from that of B2C. These 5 reasons
explain why B2B customer experience differs significantly from B2C customer experience:  The
issues in the B2B are more complex than those in B2C companies which lead to different types of
support requirement. Therefore, there are significantly lower First Contact Resolution (FCR) in B2B
companies as compared to B2C companies.  B2B companies spend significantly higher time with
their clients than a B2C company which engages differently with its clients and spends much less
time. This allows B2B companies to engage and interact at a much deeper level with its client. Thus a
B2B executive is expected to know its client its needs, business, goals, history etc.  B2B relationship
is more about the relationship than the individual interactions. While this allows for some loose
handling in one or two interactions if the relationship is solid, it is also the reason for complacency to
seep in.  There are higher amount of revenues from a single client as compared to a B2C company.
This means that the expectations are also much

A Comparison of Irony in Crime and Punishment and A...
Use of Irony in Crime and Punishment and A Doll s House
There are many links between Crime and Punishment, by Fyodor Dostoyevsky and A Doll s House, by
Henrik Isben. Each character goes through many ironic situations. Throughout both of the works
dramatic, situational, and verbal irony are used.
Dramatic irony is used throughout Crime and Punishment. The reader knows that Rodion
Romanovitch Raskolnikov killed the pawnbroker, Alyona Ivanovna, and her sister, Lizaveta Ivanovna.
A quote to support this is,
He took the axe right out, swung it up in both hands, barely conscious of what he was doing, and
almost without effort, almost effort, almost mechanically, brought the butt of it down on the old
woman s head. (Dostoyevsky ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In A Doll s House the reader is aware that Nora borrowed money from Krogstad without her husband
s permission. Nora also forged her father s name to gain the money. She says, You don t know all. I
forged a name. (Isben 44) In the following conversation between Nora and Christine it is clearly stated
that Torvald does not know of Nora s actions: Mrs. Linde. And since then have you never told your
secret to your husband? Nora. Good heavens, no! (Isben 13)
Another example of dramatic irony in A Doll s House is when Nora wants to practice a dance called
the Tarantella. When Torvald goes to look in the letter box Nora says, Torvald please don t. There is
nothing in there. (Isben 46) The reader knows that Nora has not forgotten the dance. The reader knows
this when Torvald goes to check the mail and Nora begins to play the Tarantella. Nora then says, I can
t dance to morrow if I don t practise with you. (Isben 46) The reader knows that all Nora is trying to
do is keep Torvald from reading the mail which contains a letter from Krogstad.
Situational irony is also used throughout the two works. In Crime and Punishment Raskolnikov is the
one who murdered the two sisters. It was totally unexpected when Nikolai came to

Zahrah The Windseeker And You CanT Touch My Hair Analysis
Nnedi Okorafor Mbachu and Phoebe Robinson, through their respective books Zahrah the Windseeker
and You Can t Touch My Hair: And Other Things I Still Have to Explain, eloquently tackle the ways
their characters recognize and overcome the fear of the unknown through word choice and character
development. In her book, Zahrah the Windseeker, Nnedi Okorafor Mbachu does not waste any time
and explicitly states in the preface that it is a general fear of the unknown that plagues the entire
society of the Ooni Kingdom (Okorafor). Okorafor s use of the word plague utilizes the negative

Due to the fact being dada is so rare and no one else from her hometown is dada, the townspeople fear
Zahrah because they do not know or understand what it means to be dada and what separates them
from normal people. As a part of the bullying, people call Zahrah names like: Vine head, snake lady,
swamp witch, and freak (Okorafor 3). Despite initially believing the vicious nicknames and allowing
those words to define her, Zahrah overcomes her submission to society s perception of her and
embraces her hair, as well as her other dada qualities. In the end, after completing her quest and saving
her best friend, Zahrah stands before a mirror and studies herself: I look at myself in the mirror, my
dark brown skin, my dada hair... I looked into my own eyes and smiled when I saw the new glint in
them (Okorafor 277). A new glint in her eyes represents a new perspective of herself; a perspective
that is not defined by society s fear of her. For Zahrah, it took going on an incredibly dangerous and
nearly impossible mission in order to accept herself and to shake people s fear of the unknown. She
now has confidence in herself and believes in herself. Similarly, Robinson deals with this same issue
of facing other the fear of the unknown, however she deals with the problem in a more realistic
manner. Phoebe Robinson deals with white people s fear of her natural hair. As mentioned earlier,
Robinson clearly recognizes this fear, and writes in her book, when something

Although, the one that s the most significant is: don t give up on what you believe in. The author
portrays this theme throughout the novel by telling how Grace finds out what really happened to her

Grace s journey to find out what happened to her mother when Grace was so little. Because I went

Grace to remember what she saw the man wearing the day her mother was murdered. The cuff is stiff

Causes Of New Imperialism
New imperialism was a period of colonial expansion by European powers during the late 19th century
and early 20th century. It is distinguished by the continuous territorial acquisitions of Africa and Asia
by European powers. These powers include Great Britain, France, Netherlands, Germany, and
Belgium (Tusan, Scramble for Africa, October 23rd). There were many reasons behind this aggressive
competition. To them, these newfound lands were an opportunity to expand their power and exploit
further resources. To put it bluntly, economic, political, cultural, and ideological motivations all helped
start the era of New Imperialism and its new form of empire.
In terms of economic reasons, European powers sought to maximize profits. Expansion ... Show more

An imperial government must protect its own territories while expanding it as well. If another power
gets a territory, they gain that land s resources, meaning more power. Due to this, each European
power perceived other powers trying to expand as a threat to their security and prestige. This results in
every European power to seek out new territories. A prime exemplar of this is the Fashoda Crisis.
France wanted control of the Nile, but that would mean excluding Britain from it (Tusan, The
Scramble for Africa III, October 30th). In the end, France backed off because it needed to be on
friendly terms with Britain in case of a war against Germany. Instead of fighting over a valuable trade
route, France decided the safety of the country was more important if war does happen with Germany.
As a result, Britain s control in Egypt was asserted.
For cultural and ideological reasons, imperial nations believed that their values and beliefs were
superior to anyone else s. A huge concept of New Imperialism was the European civilizing mission .
In general, Europeans think they re doing a good deed by imposing their beliefs onto the inhabitants of
Africa. As King Leopold II stated, Our refined society attaches to human life (and with reason) a value
unknown to barbarous communities (King Leopold II, 222). Since the Africans were inferior to
Europeans,

Analysis Of My Three Favorite Characters From Chaucer s...
Interesting Characters
(An Analysis of my Three Favorite Characters from Chaucer s General Prologue)
Chaucer was a writer from the Anglo Saxon Era in which he did many significant things in his short
life. He is known to this day as the father of our language as we know it today. He wrote the series of
stories called the Canterbury Tales, which consist of many different characters that each tell a story. In
these series of stories he is us using the characters to express his mind and feelings towards the
church. Chaucer is upset with the church because he knows what they are doing and how corrupt they
really are. How the priests are supposed to be poor, but instead they tell the people that come to
confess that everything will be alright if they give the priests a certain amount of currency. Also how
the priests are not suppose to have intercourse because they are married to the church, but yet they are
getting with women. The purpose of the tales is to make a political point on the hypocrisy of the
church and the inequality of women to men. Of the twentyfive characters in the General Prologue
there were three that stood out to me the most. The three characters are, The Squire, The Friar, and
The Cook. To begin, the Squire from the General Prologue peaked my interest for many reasons. The
physical characteristics of the Squire are extraordinary such as his luscious hair with the smooth curls.
He is fairly tall, very strong and athletic. This just makes me wonder what

Music is one of the greatest human creations (DeNora, 2000). It plays an integral role in human

Indeed according to Batt Rawden (2010), playing different music in diverse situations can introduce

people, but it can also form part of an accompaniment in sad situations. Music is often the fulcrum

from the fear of surgery and complemented analgesia effect with the use of nitrous oxide, which
ultimately effected, the pain suffered by the patients..
Engwall (2009) defined pain as a symptom and a warning that something is wrong in an organism (p
370). Rathmell et al., (2006) maintained that fear of uncontrolled pain can be a traumatic situation for
a patient undergoing surgery. Moreover, Pellino, et al (2005) sustained that pain is a multidimensional
experience, consisting of not only physical stimuli but also psychological interpretations of pain (p.
182). Alleviating peri operative pain is traditionally achieved with the use of pharmacological
interventions. analgesia can incur undesirable side effects like drowsiness, nausea and vomiting.
Controlling the pain by complimenting analgesics with the use of non pharmacological interventions,
might ameliorate patients response to pain with fewer resultant side effects. Thus, the need to evaluate
the effect of non pharmacological measures such as music, relaxation, hypnosis and others is highly
solicited in the evolving heath system (Pyati Gan, 2007).
The use of music as a non pharmacological measure can be an essential element in dealing with pain
since it is easy and safe to

Dr. Dodds, And Conroy s The Freedom Of The City
The true statement, although Dr. Dodds, and Conroy s ... outsider status makes possible a useful
degree of critical distance, ultimately Conroy and Dodds are ill equipped to explain communal
passions that shaped political life in the North during the 1980 s , is misleading. The statement suggest
that Dr. Dodds and Conroy s outsider status automatically gives them the ability to use critical
distance, however both John Conroy, in his book Belfast Diary, and Dr Dodds, in Brian Friel s The
Freedom of the City, fail to use critical distance in their analysis of what is happening in Northern
Ireland. Critical distance is defined as the introduction of a stranger into a society that is able to be
detached from the society, and has the ability to recognize and empathize with all points of view
within that society. In addition to that, the statement also seems suggest that Dr. Dodds and Conroy are
the ill equipped to explain the communal passions in Northern Ireland simply because they are
outsiders. However, even the locals seem to lack the ability to understand their own communal
passions in the political conflict of the North during the eighties. When referring to critical distance
the statement suggest that Conroy and Dr. Dodds use critical distance when both of them, however,
fail to use this useful sociological tool. While tanks drive into the city and disrupt a peaceful match,
Dr. Dodds, an American sociologist, obliviously claims that the violence in Northern Ireland is

Brush Graining Report
Low cost timber substances that have been used in doorways, wall cladding, and furniture aren t all
that wonderful to the attention and portray them with a single flat color will not enhance the
appearance either. To interchange all these gadgets with good bushes it s obviously not a low priced
way to go there s an replacement, to brighten the visual look of these objects and that is through
utilizing the procedure of Brush Graining .
Graining is an fascinating alternative to making use of flat colours and is a comparatively affordable
method of suggesting a extra luxurious conclude. It requires using a paint brush to achieve the finishes

A Brief Note On Malpractice And Liability Issues
Malpractice and liability are touchy topics when they relate to the profession of social work.
Ignorance and good intentions are no longer acceptable excuses whenever a social worker makes a
serious mistake within their practice. Practitioners are required to seek out knowledge in order to
prevent malpractice suits and unethical behavior (Dolgoff et. al, 2012). One of the biggest causes of
malpractice suits when dealing with technology is confidentiality breaches. It is easier to break
confidentiality when you are using systems that are not always 100 percent secure and private.
Reamer (2013) mentions that social workers must be knowledgeable on all forms of digital media that
use in their practice. Many malpractice suits could have been prevented if the worker had more
knowledge on the issue involved. An issue can be unethical, but legal and vice versa (Dolgoff et. al,
2012). For example, not properly maintaining records is not considered a crime, but is unethical
within the social work profession. Another example would be a worker refusing to send a child back
to a home where the child is being sexually assaulted after the court made the order to do so. I would
not see this as unethical because the worker is advocating for the safety of the child, but it would be
viewed as a crime in the eyes of society
Some other malpractice suits that can arise when incorporating electronic media into traditional
treatment include: abandonedment, improper documentation,

Comparing Buddhism And The Bhagavad
Comparing and Contrasting Early Buddhism and the Bhagavad Gītā
Early Buddhism and the Bhagavad Gītā have a wide array similarities and differences. Both Buddhism
and the Gita deal with an inner struggle. We see Arjuna dealing with the struggle of whether or not he
should murder his family in order to obtain a kingdom. In Buddhism, we see the inner struggle as the
quest to find nirvana and the pain that is the very act of living. Although there are some similarities,
the differences between Buddhism and the Gita are clear. One of the biggest digressions between the
two is how one deals with the notion of atman and how one must live their life in order to reach the
ultimate goal of nirvana or moksha. One of the most important divergences between Buddhism and
the Gita is how dharma is interpreted. In the Bhagavad Gītā Krishna is able to shed some light on the
significance of dharma. On the subject of dharma Krishna says: It is better to strive in one s own
dharma than to succeed in the dharma of another. Nothing is ever lost in following one s own dharma.
But competition in another s dharma breeds fear and insecurity (BG 3:35). Here Krishna is talking to
Arjuna. Krishna is trying to get the point across that Arjuna is always better off following his
svadharma rather than adhering to what others want him to do. It is important for Arjuna to follow his
own path in order to reach moksha. Krishna is stressing that Arjuna must follow the path that has been
carved out

Abstract Of Artificial Intelligence
Abstract Artificial Intelligence otherwise known as AI, it is the development and the theory of some
computer systems which are able to undertake certain tasks which will normally need the intelligence
of humans. The tasks that are normally in need of the human intelligence are the likes of translation of
languages, making decisions recognition of speech among others. Good examples of these
technologies that fall under the AI are; augmented reality, Virtual Assistants, and robots. On the other
hand, employee productivity can also be called workforce productivity. Productivity is evaluated in
terms of the output of employees within a given time. A Lot of US multinational have embraced the
use of this technology as it has been touted as leading to some financial benefits(Bobrow,2005). My
research is limited to American multinational corporations like Amazon and Google. American
Multinational Corporations using AI Technology Many of tech companies and organization are putting
into use the AI technologies that are made up of the robots, augmented reality and even the virtual
assistants. Recently there was a report that was undertaken by Accenture in 12 nations and it showed
that AI that is able to sense the environment has the ability to know what is happening to lead to the
taking of an action. All these would, later on, lead to the rise in the levels of productivity to sales of
40% in the year 2035.The report goes on to show that once AI is well utilized, there will

Post Operative Education to a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Patient

Post Operative Education to a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Patient
One of the scariest medical diagnoses a patient can receive from a physician is, their heart is not
functioning properly. A malfunctioning heart will eventually lead to death if correction of the issue is
not attempted. The heart supplies the entire body with oxygenated blood but also needs its own supply
of oxygen rich blood. This is why coronary arteries are vital to the hearts ability to pump. A final
option to correcting malfunctioning coronary arteries is a surgical procedure, coronary artery bypass
grafting (CABG). Every year approximately 450,000 patients have CABG surgery in the United States
(Mullen Fortino O Brien, 2008). Based on continuing healthcare trends, more and more people each
year are having coronary artery issues, causing the need for CABG surgery to rise. Also patient
demographics are changing, they are older, sicker, have more extensive coronary artery blockage /
damage, and likely have poorer functioning ventricles of the heart (Sidebotham, McKee, Gillham
Levy, 2007). The nursing profession has a critical role in caring for the patients but also teaching and
educating them before and after any procedure. Education and teaching has been implemented into
evidence based practice for years to facilitate better patient

subjects 6 11 years old (ppFEV1=95.8% at baseline) and a more progressed disease state in the adult
subjects (ppFEV1 = 64.5% at baseline).(36)
The KIWI clinical trial was a two part, open label, phase 3 study to evaluate the safety,
pharmacodynamics (PD), and pharmacokinetics (PK) of ivacaftor in CF patients between two and five
years old with at least one CFTR gating mutation. Results from this study expanded the use of
ivacaftor to patients as young as two years old (Table 1).(15)
Despite in vitro results demonstrating an increased Isc in F508del CFTR expressing FRT and HBE
cells upon forskolin stimulation,(22) no therapeutic benefit was observed in CF patients homozygous
for F508del CFTR. The DISCOVER trial was a phase 2 study to test ... Show more content on

Part 2 assessed multiple ascending doses of D9 ivacaftor (75mg, 150mg, and 225mg), each
administered daily after a high fat meal for 7 days, compared to placebo.(68) Results presented during
the 39th European Cystic Fibrosis Conference demonstrated improved PK of D9 ivacaftor compared
to Kalydeco®, including a 40% increase in half life (D9 ivacaftor t1/2 of ~15hrs; Kalydeco® t1/2 of
~11hrs), reduced clearance rate (D9 ivacaftor CL/F of 3.8L/hr vs. Kalydeco® CL/F of 13.3L/hr),
approximately 3 fold increase in exposure (D9 ivacaftor AUC0 inf of 44,916ng*hr/mL vs. Kalydeco®
AUC0 inf of 12,925ng*hr/mL), and approximately 3 fold increase in plasma concentrations at 24
hours (D9 ivacaftor C24hrs of 712ng/mL vs. Kalydeco® C24hrs of 169ng/mL). Data shown here are
for 150mg doses of both D9 ivacaftor and Kalydeco®.(14, 26, 77) The improved PK profile of D9
ivacaftor along with a safety profile comparable to that of Kalydeco® has allowed progression of D9
ivacaftor into a phase 2 clinical trial to evaluate its safety and efficacy in CF patients with CFTR
gating mutations.(69)

Howard Zinn Rhetorical Analysis
Howard Zinn has committed his life s work to open the eyes of American citizens, and show them the
real history of our country. From America s early beginnings and his readings of Henry David Thoreau
to Martin Luther King s plight for equality. Zinn has an eloquent way with words to put ideals into
prospective, and shed light on some of our country s issues that continually throughout history plaque
our government. One of these continues historical issues is war. Citizens have not learned from the
cycle of stupidity when it comes to war Zinn began working in a shipyard at a fairly young age after
reading about Nazi camps and what Adolph Hitler hoped to accomplish, Zinn wanted to do his part to

The Underlying Causes Of World War One
World War One was one of the most deadly conflicts in all human history. It began in 1914 and ended
in 1918. In those four years, almost 17 million people died and over 20 million were wounded. What
were the underlying causes of WWI? Three of these causes were militarism, nationalism, and the
loose alliances that had been formed prior to the war. It is only warlike nations which have prospered;
a nation dies as soon as it disarms (Emile Zola, The Origins of the First World War). This is one of
many examples of the sense of militarism in most of the European countries during, and even before,
WWI. Militarism is the belief that one s country should maintain a strong military. This caused tension
with the European countries because even before

Relationship Between IPT And CBT
Several studies suggest that CBT and IPT may have specific effects when competently implemented,
but only for patients with more severe depression. Among studies that tested for moderation with
respect to severity, specific effects were found only among patients with more severe depression, with
respect to both psychotherapy and medications (Driessen et al., 2010; Fournier, 2010; Kirsch et al.,
2008). Some call this the dirty little secret of pharmaceutical industry that has long selectively
screened out patients with less severe depression (in order to up the odds of finding drug placebo
differences required to win FDA approval) and then turns around and markets those same medications
to people who it knows full well are likely to respond

  • 2. A Review Of Adaptive Technique For Image Super Resolution A Review of Adaptive Technique for Image Super resolution Prof. S. P. Bhosale Assistant Professor , Department of electronics, A.I.S.S.M.S COE, Pune, India spbhosale@aisssmscoe.com ABSTRACT Increase in resolution of image has been one driving factor in the development and progress of the fields related to the capture, processing and display of digital images and video. Number of authors has carried out research on various techniques on super resolution algorithms which are classified into two basic categories: single frame super resolution and the more common multi frame super resolution . Single frame super resolution is a very ill posed problem due to the lack of any new additional information. Multi frame Super resolution on the other hand presents more information in the form of Low Resolution (LR) frames that are displaced from each other making it a more tractable problem. A related problem to super Resolution (SR) techniques is image restoration, which is well established area in image processing application. An other problem related to SR reconstruction is image interpolation that has been used to increase the size of a single image. Keywords Adaptive technique, super resolution technique, frequency domain method. 1. INTRODUCTION A demand for higher resolution is seen in many discipline including bio medical imaging, satellite and astronomical imaging, chemical and military surveillance and remote sensing. Confidence has been outlined as an important and essential mental skill in sporting performance by both athletes and coaches according to Vealey and Chase, 2008. There is a general consensus of support by the literature for a positive relationship between confidence and performance (Moritz, Feltz, Fahrbach, Mack, 2000 cited by Machida, Ward and Vealey, 2012). In developing an understanding of these models of confidence and efficacy it has become a primary target to increase the confidence of athletes at specific psychological interventions (Hanton Jones, 1999; Mamassis Doganis, 2004 cited by Machida, Ward and Vealey, 2012). Second, golfers maintained high self efficacy over time by recalling prior success, strategically framing experiences, and enlisting supportive verbal persuasions from themselves and from others. Finally, self efficacy influenced professional golfers thought patterns, outcome expectations, and emotional states. Findings support and refine the theoretical tenets of Bandura s social cognitive theory. (Valiante and Morris, 2013). Sport confidence is defined as the beliefs in individual s capability to be successful in sport (Vealey, 1986). The sport confidence model builds on Bandura s model of self efficacy. Vealey et al, (1998) identified nine sources of sport confidence that are unique to the context of competitive sport. These include mastery (i.e. improving skills in the sporting context), demonstration of ability (i.e. showing off abilities to others or out performing an opponent), physical /mental preparation (i.e. feeling physically and mentally prepared for competition) and physical self presentation (i.e. one s physical self image) (Vealey and Chase, 2008). A study investigating the effect of a decrease in confidence on the performance in a well learned task, (Woodman, Akehurst, Hardy and Beattie, 2010) in this case they used skipping, concluded that to an extent a lack in self confidence or ... • 9. Discrimination Based On Gender Discrimination Discrimination, especially discrimination based on gender, should be looked at through Deontology. This is because discrimination based on gender affects the rights of many, requires duties of other to not discriminate and have respect for others, and can have large consequences. It is important we look at rights, duties, and consequences rather than only evaluate gender discrimination based on its consequences in order to be able to create a way to virtuously handle gender. While gender discrimination can affect men it focuses more strongly on women. Many women today are viewed through stereotypes and stigmatisms of what they should do or how they should act. They are seen by society as weak, inferior, and incapable when compared to men. For instance, it is the stereotype that women should get married at a certain age and stay at home cleaning, cooking, and raising kids rather than be out in the work force. However, women have a right to dream and work towards success just like a man can. They have the right to work, chose to have or not have children, and even have the right to choose not to clean their homes. Just as men have the right to stay at home and cook, raise kids, and clean if they so choose. These decisions do not make men and women less or more of a man or women. Rather they are natural rights that society often looks down on. Although these sound like cheesy pick up lines from the sixties or seventies, there can be a valid reason as to why people use them. The zodiac is a band of the sky along which the Sun, the Moon, and most of the planets move. It is divided into twelve parts, with each named for a nearby constellation. The twelve zodiac or astrological signs are associated with four essential elements, which are used to describe a person s place in the world. Those elements are air, water, earth, and fire. All of these must co exist peacefully and work together in sync in order to achieve balance in life. The twelve zodiac signs are assigned to certain dates and houses that portray and describe the characteristics and personality of an individual. Since my birthday is on May 26th, I am a Gemini. In order to be considered a Gemini, an individual s birthday would have to fall between the approximate dates of May 21st and June 20th. Just like the eleven other signs, Gemini has its own traits and characteristics that are said to be associated with a person born within those dates. However, traits that are specified for a certain sign do not always have to match that person. There can be instances where a person is considered to be a particular sign, but in reality they are not anything like it. Gemini, one of the zodiac constellations, is the sign of the twins. A Soldier s life might depend on it. Camouflage was first understood by hunters as far as from prehistoric time. These hunters observed and understood how an animal had a protection beyond just teeth and claws. They discovered that most animals could mix it with a natural background such as trees, leaves, and rocks, make them undetectable to other animals and humans. The military has little used at the beginning of these techniques. There are few examples of the use of camouflage in ancient and medieval warfare because camouflage was rare at that time. This includes the style I have chosen to use, as well as what and who influenced me and how I plan on using this puppet. I decided to go for the shadow puppetry method. What exactly is shadow puppetry (also known as shadow play)? In order for something to be considered as shadow play you only need about three things, namely a source of light, a form (can be a figure or your hand etc.) and a wall/screen/surface to project onto. If you are like me and try to make a dog or an ostrich with your hands every chance you get then you can say you have had experience in shadow puppetry. I decided to use shadow puppetry because I remember watching a shadow puppet show when I was younger (about six or seven years old) and it was incredibly captivating yet so simple. The fact that the images were just silhouettes gave my colourful imagination the chance to paint them any way I wanted to. Due to this drought, more than a thousand of California s residents have lost their water. The drought sparks a conflict for the residents. People can not bathe, use their toilets, wash their dishes, or do anything with water. Because of the overuse of groundwater, a law is being established in the California State Legislature that would maintain aquifer, the pumping of groundwater, for the first time in history. We are tied to the groundwater 100 percent, a farmer said, so ultimately it will have an effect on consumer prices. There s just no getting around that (Source 1). The crippling drought is expected to cost the state $2.2 billion in 2014 and put more than 17,000 farm workers out of a job, according to a July study partly funded by the state s department of food and agriculture (Source 2). If aquifer is regulated, the economy is going to crash, prices of food will go up, if prices of food go up, prices of everything will go up, farmers will go out of business, people who work for farmers will lose their jobs, people who sell farmers equipment won t sell enough hardware and make less money, and the government will lose billions of dollars. • 19. The Causes Of Suicidal Ideation Suicidal Ideation Most suicidal people do not want death, they just want the pain to stop, so how can the pain they feel be resolved? The point of my paper is to find out the reasons that people become suicidal and how to prevent it from happening. People contemplate suicide till the end so by understanding the source of their pain, it is possible to prevent the unfortunate outcome of suicide. Don t ignore even the smallest of signs of suicide. Suicidal ideation is the idea of ending one s life. Suicidal ideations may be the result of loss, anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, and problems in other areas of a person s life that feel so overwhelming suicide seems like the only way to cope [Pacific Grove Hospital]. People in painful situations struggle to find solutions to end their suffering. People who are suicidal can often be very manipulative with their emotions, hiding their darkest thoughts and instead showing everyone happiness, so how do we really know if someone is showing suicidal symptoms? Some symptoms include change in appetite, substance abuse, distance from once loved things, self criticism, psychosis, paranoia, talking about death. Suicide ideations are often a symptom of result of undiagnosed or untreated mental health disorders [Valley Behavioral]. Suicidal people may be manipulative with their emotions, but they can t put on a happy face at every moment, so watch them carefully and confront them when you see some of the symptoms or dual disorders. The causes for suicide are not thought to be the result of a single factor, but rather the combined forces of genetic, physical, and environmental risk factors. Individuals who have a family history of mental illnesses do have a higher risk, however this is not always the case. The effects of genetics on suicide are due to inheriting mental illness and by inheriting traits. Several mental illnesses have genetic influences and increase the risk of suicide. These include depression, bipolar disease, schizophrenia, and some types of anxiety [Dr. Pat, About Kids Health]. Genetics have a large influence on suicidal thoughts and mental illnesses, although it s not something you can prevent, you can protect yourself and others ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 22. Correlation Between Income And Infant Mortality Evidence has persisted through the last century that people struggling under the pressures of poverty often experience inferior lifestyles compared to those with higher incomes, however it is less apparent to what degree income can truly affect the overall health and well being of different social classes. People with higher income typically have better access to healthcare, education, freedom and equality and in turn will on average have greater overall health, better occupations amongst many other benefits but it is difficult to accurately establish to what extent these additional endowments actually contribute to the well being and early health of their infants. And if there is indeed a connection between income and infant mortality or birth weight, what other conditions must be held constant or controlled in order for these connections to be statistically significant? Schady Smitz (2009) took the direction of studying middle income country with specified regularity and extremity in economic shocks to the system and then attempting to establish a connection with said shocks to the infant mortality rates. They gathered relevant statistics from countries with over ten years of infant mortality data and have at least two years of significant negative economic growth. It is solely a summary of two natural phenomenon which have changed everything about our way of life and has ushered us into a remarkable new age. Firstly and most importantly, it is about the underlying idea of how magnetism and electricity have come about, also it outlines and maps out the development and discoveries of sources of electricity and magnetism by many inventors and the latter discoveries of mega production. When I was a little boy, I used to wonder what causes lightning and thunder. When rain comes, I sometimes see intermittent lightning for a while before you can hear the sound of a spark which is like two short circuited power cables. At school, we all learnt about matter, which consists of atoms and molecules and every atom has a nucleus and electron(s), inside the nucleus contains an equal number of protons and neutrons. The electrons revolve round the nucleus of the atom in order to keep it stable. Protons are positively charged particles, neutrons are neutral and electrons are negative charge particles. The nucleus is surrounded by shells; these are simply orbitals in which an electron(s) can be found. The number of orbitals depends on how many electrons the atom has. The electrons which are in the outer most orbitals have a tendency of being lost or shared by another atom in order to create a more stable configuration. Queen and Goddess In this formal analysis, the subject is the wall painting Queen Nefertari and Isis, located in Nefertaris tomb. The painting shows the ancient Egyptian Goddess Isis leading the Queen by the hand. Nefertari lived around 1300 1255 BC and was the first and exclusively claimed wife of the Egyptian pharaoh Ramses II. When analyzing the artwork one can see the influence of what we now understand to be art form, through the numerous art elements the painting of Queen Nefertari and Isis has. Starting with lines, the artist uses many types of both regular and irregular, to create the hieroglyphics and the shape of the women along with what they wear. The ancient Egyptians liked to have things in order and consistent. We see the proof for this behind their canon of proportions method. In order to make complex figures easier to depict, the traditional style and trademark of ancient Egyptian artworks show everything drawn or carved to be two dimensional in shape. However, they also wanted to show the aspects they valued the most as a society. As stated in the film How Art Made The World, in the case of the human body ancient Egyptian chose to show each body part from its clearest angel; and as a result of a keeping the figures 2 D, the chest is shown straight on, the face is shown in profile but the eyes were drawn straight on, the arms and hands can be ... Due to this, each European power perceived other powers trying to expand as a threat to their security and prestige. This results in every European power to seek out new territories. A prime exemplar of this is the Fashoda Crisis. France wanted control of the Nile, but that would mean excluding Britain from it (Tusan, The Scramble for Africa III, October 30th). In the end, France backed off because it needed to be on friendly terms with Britain in case of a war against Germany. Instead of fighting over a valuable trade route, France decided the safety of the country was more important if war does happen with Germany. As a result, Britain s control in Egypt was asserted. It plays an integral role in human society worldwide irrelevant of race, gender, age, wealth or well being (Kemper Danhauer, 2005). Indeed according to Batt Rawden (2010), playing different music in diverse situations can introduce listeners to the desired and relevant atmosphere. In most circumstances, music is played to entertain people, but it can also form part of an accompaniment in sad situations. Music is often the fulcrum that influences the listener by creating a unique ambience and atmosphere (Bernatzky, Presh, Anderson, Panksepp, 2011). Music during surgery was first introduced in the early 20th century as a complementary therapy with anaesthesia (Light, Love, Benson, Trier Morch, 1954). They argued that music distracted the patient from the fear of surgery and complemented analgesia effect with the use of nitrous oxide, which ultimately effected, the pain suffered by the patients.. Engwall (2009) defined pain as a symptom and a warning that something is wrong in an organism (p 370). Rathmell et al., (2006) maintained that fear of uncontrolled pain can be a traumatic situation for a patient undergoing surgery. Moreover, Pellino, et al (2005) sustained that pain is a multidimensional experience, consisting of not only physical stimuli but also psychological interpretations of pain (p. 182). Alleviating peri operative pain is traditionally achieved with the use of pharmacological interventions. analgesia can incur undesirable side effects like drowsiness, nausea and vomiting. Controlling the pain by complimenting analgesics with the use of non pharmacological interventions, might ameliorate patients response to pain with fewer resultant side effects. Thus, the need to evaluate the effect of non pharmacological measures such as music, relaxation, hypnosis and others is highly solicited in the evolving heath system (Pyati Gan, 2007). The use of music as a non pharmacological measure can be an essential element in dealing with pain since it is easy and safe to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Dr. Dodds, And Conroy s The Freedom Of The City The true statement, although Dr. Dodds, and Conroy s ... outsider status makes possible a useful degree of critical distance, ultimately Conroy and Dodds are ill equipped to explain communal passions that shaped political life in the North during the 1980 s , is misleading. The statement suggest that Dr. Dodds and Conroy s outsider status automatically gives them the ability to use critical distance, however both John Conroy, in his book Belfast Diary, and Dr Dodds, in Brian Friel s The Freedom of the City, fail to use critical distance in their analysis of what is happening in Northern Ireland. Critical distance is defined as the introduction of a stranger into a society that is able to be detached from the society, and has the ability to recognize and empathize with all points of view within that society. In addition to that, the statement also seems suggest that Dr. Dodds and Conroy are the ill equipped to explain the communal passions in Northern Ireland simply because they are outsiders. However, even the locals seem to lack the ability to understand their own communal passions in the political conflict of the North during the eighties. When referring to critical distance the statement suggest that Conroy and Dr. Dodds use critical distance when both of them, however, fail to use this useful sociological tool. • 42. A Brief Note On Malpractice And Liability Issues Malpractice and liability are touchy topics when they relate to the profession of social work. Ignorance and good intentions are no longer acceptable excuses whenever a social worker makes a serious mistake within their practice. Practitioners are required to seek out knowledge in order to prevent malpractice suits and unethical behavior (Dolgoff et. al, 2012). One of the biggest causes of malpractice suits when dealing with technology is confidentiality breaches. It is easier to break confidentiality when you are using systems that are not always 100 percent secure and private. Reamer (2013) mentions that social workers must be knowledgeable on all forms of digital media that use in their practice. Many malpractice suits could have been prevented if the worker had more knowledge on the issue involved. An issue can be unethical, but legal and vice versa (Dolgoff et. al, 2012). For example, not properly maintaining records is not considered a crime, but is unethical within the social work profession. Another example would be a worker refusing to send a child back to a home where the child is being sexually assaulted after the court made the order to do so. I would not see this as unethical because the worker is advocating for the safety of the child, but it would be viewed as a crime in the eyes of society Some other malpractice suits that can arise when incorporating electronic media into traditional treatment include: abandonedment, improper documentation, ... • 43. Comparing Buddhism And The Bhagavad Comparing and Contrasting Early Buddhism and the Bhagavad Gītā Early Buddhism and the Bhagavad Gītā have a wide array similarities and differences. Both Buddhism and the Gita deal with an inner struggle. We see Arjuna dealing with the struggle of whether or not he should murder his family in order to obtain a kingdom. In Buddhism, we see the inner struggle as the quest to find nirvana and the pain that is the very act of living. Although there are some similarities, the differences between Buddhism and the Gita are clear. One of the biggest digressions between the two is how one deals with the notion of atman and how one must live their life in order to reach the ultimate goal of nirvana or moksha. One of the most important divergences between Buddhism and the Gita is how dharma is interpreted. In the Bhagavad Gītā Krishna is able to shed some light on the significance of dharma. On the subject of dharma Krishna says: It is better to strive in one s own dharma than to succeed in the dharma of another. Nothing is ever lost in following one s own dharma. But competition in another s dharma breeds fear and insecurity (BG 3:35). Here Krishna is talking to Arjuna. Krishna is trying to get the point across that Arjuna is always better off following his svadharma rather than adhering to what others want him to do. It is important for Arjuna to follow his own path in order to reach moksha. Krishna is stressing that Arjuna must follow the path that has been carved out ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Good examples of these technologies that fall under the AI are; augmented reality, Virtual Assistants, and robots. On the other hand, employee productivity can also be called workforce productivity. Productivity is evaluated in terms of the output of employees within a given time. A Lot of US multinational have embraced the use of this technology as it has been touted as leading to some financial benefits(Bobrow,2005). American Multinational Corporations using AI Technology Many of tech companies and organization are putting into use the AI technologies that are made up of the robots, augmented reality and even the virtual assistants. Recently there was a report that was undertaken by Accenture in 12 nations and it showed that AI that is able to sense the environment has the ability to know what is happening to lead to the taking of an action. • 45. Post Operative Education For A Coronary Artery Bypass... Post Operative Education to a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Patient Aleks J. Perrin Remington College School of Nursing Post Operative Education to a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Patient One of the scariest medical diagnoses a patient can receive from a physician is, their heart is not functioning properly. A malfunctioning heart will eventually lead to death if correction of the issue is not attempted. The heart supplies the entire body with oxygenated blood but also needs its own supply of oxygen rich blood. This is why coronary arteries are vital to the hearts ability to pump. A final option to correcting malfunctioning coronary arteries is a surgical procedure, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). Every year approximately 450,000 patients have CABG surgery in the United States (Mullen Fortino O Brien, 2008). Based on continuing healthcare trends, more and more people each year are having coronary artery issues, causing the need for CABG surgery to rise. Also patient demographics are changing, they are older, sicker, have more extensive coronary artery blockage / damage, and likely have poorer functioning ventricles of the heart (Sidebotham, McKee, Gillham Levy, 2007). The nursing profession has a critical role in caring for the patients but also teaching and educating them before and after any procedure. Education and teaching has been implemented into evidence based practice for years to facilitate better patient ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Three of these causes were militarism, nationalism, and the loose alliances that had been formed prior to the war.
