Project Overview
 In this project I’m going to apply what we study in a local company, to
improve their operation management by increasing their efficiently and
quality to gain more profit and customer satisfaction. I’m going to relay on
some major factors such as how the company getting their row materials and
how they are managing their quality and efficiency.
About Shining Cars Company
 Shining Cars Company started in 2012, in AL-Ula city, by it’s owner
Abdulrahman Mohammed Abdullkareim.
 Their main service is polishing cars.
 Protect interior car furniture.
 Cleaning Car Engine by steam.
Getting Raw Materials
 Shining Cars Company getting their raw materials ( polishing materials,
polishing tools, plastic for interior protection and others) from domestic
suppliers here in Saudi Arabia specifically from Jeddah city, for a good price
but not the best.
Quality and it’s managing
 Shining Cars Company has standards for the quality which basically cars must
be very cleaned and polished well without any mistakes.
 Car interior must be cleaned well seats and floor and decorate as well
without defecting the electronics or the original colors.
 Any mistake done by the workers should be fixed as soon as possible and it’s
on the company, customer will not be charged other than the agreed price.
 Workers evaluation every month.
Efficiency
 Shining Cars Company standardized their efficiency in few things:
 1) Get the job done with 0 mistakes.
 2) Customer Satisfaction is the most important thing.
 3) Inventory managing and checking.
 4) Getting high quality materials.
 5) Trained workers.

Suggestion to improvements 1/2
 Getting materials from foreign country will be better for lower cost and
better quality.
 Work-cell space is very big and it’s not used, so they should manage the space
well by expand the work space so it’s can serve 9 cars instated of 6 cars.
 Motivate workers based on their monthly performance.
 Redecorate the work space to be more attractive to the customers.
 Make a loyal program for customers.
Suggestion to improvements 2/2
 Make the warehouse close to the working area so workers can get their
materials faster instead of waiting for almost 30Min.
 Increased use of equipment.
 Manage inventory well by define how much does one car need to be polished
and therefore worker should only get the required materials no more no less.
 Adopt a new technology to save time and cost.
 Decrees number of workers for one car from 4 to 3 per car, and use the extra
workers to work on other cars.

Project Overview  In this project I’m going to apply what we study in a local company, to improve their operation management by increasing their efficiently and quality to gain more profit and customer satisfaction. I’m going to relay on some major factors such as how the company getting their row materials and how they are managing their quality and efficiency.
  • 4. About Shining Cars Company  Shining Cars Company started in 2012, in AL-Ula city, by it’s owner Abdulrahman Mohammed Abdullkareim.  Their main service is polishing cars.  Protect interior car furniture.  Cleaning Car Engine by steam.
  • 5. Getting Raw Materials  Shining Cars Company getting their raw materials ( polishing materials, polishing tools, plastic for interior protection and others) from domestic suppliers here in Saudi Arabia specifically from Jeddah city, for a good price but not the best.
  • 6. Quality and it’s managing  Shining Cars Company has standards for the quality which basically cars must be very cleaned and polished well without any mistakes.  Car interior must be cleaned well seats and floor and decorate as well without defecting the electronics or the original colors.  Any mistake done by the workers should be fixed as soon as possible and it’s on the company, customer will not be charged other than the agreed price.  Workers evaluation every month.
  • 7. Efficiency  Shining Cars Company standardized their efficiency in few things:  1) Get the job done with 0 mistakes.  2) Customer Satisfaction is the most important thing.  3) Inventory managing and checking.  4) Getting high quality materials.  5) Trained workers.

Suggestion to improvements 1/2  Getting materials from foreign country will be better for lower cost and better quality.  Work-cell space is very big and it’s not used, so they should manage the space well by expand the work space so it’s can serve 9 cars instated of 6 cars.  Motivate workers based on their monthly performance.  Redecorate the work space to be more attractive to the customers.  Make a loyal program for customers.

Suggestion to improvements 2/2  Make the warehouse close to the working area so workers can get their materials faster instead of waiting for almost 30Min.  Increased use of equipment.  Manage inventory well by define how much does one car need to be polished and therefore worker should only get the required materials no more no less.  Adopt a new technology to save time and cost.  Decrees number of workers for one car from 4 to 3 per car, and use the extra workers to work on other cars.
