Factors That Determine The Success Of An Entrepreneur
What factors determine the success of an Entrepreneur?
I will be talking to professionals, people who know what they are talking about. I would also watch
films about successful entrepreneurs to be inspired.I want to show how entrepreneurs reached the top
of the food chain. I will be looking at books, articles, newspapers, leaflet anything to show how much
determination counts in the success of an entrepreneur. I will also be asking the same question to
professionals, to get their opinion on the topic: teachers, professionals, economist and etc... The
information collected will allow me to come up with the relevance of determination for an
entrepreneurs success. the success of an entrepreneur. The 10,000 hour rule determines the success of
an entrepreneur. Luck determine the success of an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship offer people a happy
life, money management skills, independence and business skills but it comes with a price
determination. Bill Gates is a famous entrepreneur who grew up around computers. This has been the
case since he was young. He spent about 10,000 hours hacking and coding and etc. The fact that he
spent so much time around the things he loved doing It allowed him to become an expert in
computers. The 10,000 hour rule was brought about by Malcolm Gladwell in the book Outliers .
Gladwell talks about the importance of spending enough time to perfect a certain skill, and that time
should be about 10,000 hours. However Gladwell also talks about the

Being A Migraine
Dark, striking, and afflictive are adjectives that my mind conceives when experiencing a migraine.
The word migraine has become ingrained in my vocabulary as a menacing antagonist. The migraines
took the last two years as its hostage, and are a merciless captor. Also, migraines have managed to
grasp onto the thresholds of my education. For instance, during the second semester of junior year I
missed twenty two days of school. This is a side effect of being a migraine sufferer and presents the
challenge of missing course work during college. Furthermore, it has been an exhausting, strenuous,
and demanding two years; however, it has been a period of betterment that was never intended to
occur and developed pertinent skills needed to be successful

The Importance Of A Building In The House
The Court will most likely find that the parking lot the Defendant entered is a structure that is attached
to the building and therefore guilty of first degree burglary because the word building includes any
appurtenant or connected structure. Whoever enters a building without consent . . . and commits a
crime while in the building, . . . commits burglary in the first degree . . .. Minn. Stat. § 609.582,
(2007). A building means a structure suitable for affording shelter for human beings, including any
appurtenant or connected structure. Minn. Stat. § 609.581, (2007). A building is anything intentionally
built from component parts that is suitable for affording shelter to humans. State v. Lopez, 897 N.W.2d

Id. at 2. In Dawson, the defendant entered a common hallway, elevator, and parking garage before
breaking into several cars and stealing the property therein. Id. at 1. The court reasoned that the entry
of any part of the apartment was sufficient to establish entry into the building because the hallway,
elevator, and parking garage are appurtenant structures of the apartments. Id. at 2. In Lopez, the
defendant entered a hotel room that was found to be a building because the room was intentionally
comprised from walls, ceilings, and a door that provided suitable shelter. The case at bar is similar to
Lopez, because here, the Defendant entered a parking lot that was intentionally constructed from
component parts of a covered walkway, a fence, and entry doors. Each component contributes to the
overall building because the closure from the parking lot fence was designed to wall out trespassers;
the covered walkways provide an overhead shelter from the elements in the same manner as a ceiling;
and entry doors allow access for apartment residents. All of which, comprise component parts of a
building for the express purpose of affording suitable shelter to humans. In Walker, a dairy farmer
built an attached structure to his barn that was somewhat exposed to the elements. The structure was
considered a building because it was a structure connected to the barn that was suitable for sheltering
the farmer from the elements while he did his daily chores. The case at

Vaults In Roman Architecture
With the invention of concrete, the Romans perfected making the arches and were able to create
domes and vaults. The arch was and is still used as design for openings, entryways, doors and bridges.
The vault is simply and arch with an increased in depth as seen in construction of their ceilings. The
construction of vaults was used in the construction of imperial palaces and public buildings to create
vast interior spaces. The Union Station in Washington D.C. is an example modern architecture with
vaulted ceilings. The Roman basilica was a building in which judicial, commercial and governmental
activities took place. It became the primary model for architectural design of modern Christian
churches. These buildings usually has center nave with porticos along an aisle at each ... Show more

The center of the dome in Pantheon has an opening of 27 feet, which is enough for sunlight to enter as
it lights the earth and it also allows rain and air to enter to provide cooling inside the building. The
Byzantine Empire adopted this in their architecture and was followed during the Renaissance period.
The Setia Corporate Headquarters in Shah Alam, Malaysia is an example of modern building with
oculus. The same in Pantheon the oculus is open and it allows the water during rainy season to enter
the building and is collected into its fountain. The oculus illuminates the dark walled interior and
creates a dynamic reflection on its marbled floor and glass walls. Pompeii is a town in Ancient Rome
that has been frozen in time. Through systematic excavation the people discovered the amount of
colors on the walls of the buildings particularly in the villas of rich citizens and public buildings. They
have painted their walls with architecture, still life, mythological scene or any decorative patterns.
These paintings used a technique called fresco in which it is executed on wet plaster. The Romans
used several pigments in their fresco painting to make it and it displays their

The Positive And Negative Impact Of Social Media And...
Introduction Since the new phones are coming out with more and more accessibility to the internet
from almost anywhere, social media has grown tremendously. Young teens have unlimited access to
sites that influence how they dress, act and talk as well as what they talk about. Social media is not the
only type, there are multiple types of media that can play roles in the lives of these adolescents. Mass
media plays an intricate role in shaping the minds and ideas of the current adolescent generation in
both positive and negative ways. The article Growing Up Wired discusses the impact that social
networking sites have had on adolescents and their use of the sites. I hope to discover whether mass
media has a positive or negative effect on adolescents by using its impacts and applying them to both
sociological concepts of identity as well as groupthink. Media Usage In the article there are many
staggering facts about how often social media sites are used and what adolescents are using them for.
The article estimates that 11 18 year olds spend up to 11 hours a day on the social media sites and
exposed to media via electronics. It is estimated that approximately 73% of adolescents are on social
networking sites whether they meet the age restriction or not. The young people s parents are
following the footsteps of them by starting to use the sits they see the adolescents on after the
adolescents have started using it, this is a parallel to what was expected since these sites were
originally adult oriented and created for an older audience. A majority of young people will wake up
and check their social media profiles as well as check them again before going to bed at night. How
that Impacts Day to Day Life The constant checking of social media and electronic sites can become
interruptive to daily tasks. For things like paying attention in class the thought of checking social
networking sites can be enough cause for distraction. Wondering whether you received any snapchats
from people or how many likes your last picture got can be temptation enough to pull out a phone and
check to see if you have notifications from your favourite sites. When put into new situations or put
around new people, adolescents

Alfred P Murrah Building Bombing
Alfred P Murrah Building Bombing
By: Ryan Agnos
In Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995, at 8:50 AM Timothy McVeigh parked a Ryder truck on the street
in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The truck had a very powerful bomb made out of
ammonium nitrate and fuel. McVeigh set a timed fuse and in turn of events it was bombs away while
he fled the scene in a getaway car.
At precisely 9:02 AM the bomb detonated ripping through the building s north wall. Killing 168
people and wounding more than 680 others, it also destroyed nearly 324 nearby buildings. 19 victims
were young children that attended the day care on the second story of the building, some of them as
young as 6 months old. But incensed McVeigh was already 90 miles north.
When police interrogated McVeigh, they found out his motive for bombarding the building. McVeigh
felt upset because poor actions of the ATF during the siege didn t go as planned. McVeigh stated in
response ATF, all you tyrannical people will swing in the wind one day for your treasonous actions
against the Constitution of the United States. Remember the Nuremberg War Trials.
The reason McVeigh bombed the building was because he recognized that there was an ATF office
inside of the building and that would be his initial target. McVeigh was unaware that there was a
daycare program inside the building.
The Waco Siege was the attack of the Branch Davidians compound that belonged to the religious
group the Branch Davidians who followed David

Golfer s Elbow Research Paper
Golfers Elbow, aka medial epicondylitis, is a pain or tenderness on the front side of your elbow. I
choose this injury because it is somewhat related with baseball since it can be caused by improper
swings or throws. There isn t much to know about Golfer s Elbow but here is a good overview of the
injury. Golfers Elbow usually only pertains to athletes or those who exercise poorly and has several
different causes. The main causes are from swinging a golf club or tennis racket, lifting weights, or
throwing anything from a baseball to a javelin. The pain usually comes from damage to the muscles
and tendons in your arm that are caused by overuse and exhaustion. The activities listed above are far
less likely to cause damage if you stretch and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It can even cause stiffness in your elbow causing every move to hurt as well as making your hands and
grip strength weaker. Luckily, the pain of Golfer s Elbow will subside over the course of a few days
and you can get back to your everyday activities. Many home remedies for Golfer s Elbow include
having lots of rest, taking any pain medication like advil, and icing down the injured area throughout
the day. If pain persists even after four or so days it may be time to go see the doctor. Also, if your
elbow won t bend and you think there s something more going on, like a broken bone, consult your
doctor as soon as you possibly can. People of age forty or older or those who are obese or perform the
same action over and over for more than two hours a day are more prone to getting Golfer s Elbow. If
they don t get it treated properly it can lead to excruciating pain in the elbow region along with a
limited range of motion. Golfer s Elbow can last for months, or even years, even with proper treatment
so it s best to try and prevent it at all costs and to stop whatever you re doing with the first sign of

Definition Of Attempt Crime
The assassin lies in wait, the rifle is now in position. The victim is in sight, only a few yards separate
them. The assassin pulls the trigger. The victim carries on, unaware that a defective riffle has saved
him from death. An attempt to commit a serious crime but should the assassin be punished as severely
as the corresponding completed crime? Most legal theorist would answer: Yes.
The definition for attempt crimes would depend on the state however generally attempt crimes occur
when an individual has actual/specific intent to commit a crime (Reuters, T 2012). According to the
Criminal Attempts Act, 1981 a person can be found guilty of an attempt if with intent to commit and
an offence, a person does an act which is more than merely preparatory to the commission of the
offence, he is guilty of attempting to commit the offence. Attempt crimes are usually incomplete,
therefore it is up to the jury to establish the intent of an individual if they want to secure a conviction.

There are certain offences where recklessness mens rea for the full offences. Furthermore in order for
the prosecution to prove the defendant committed the offence, they must prove he/she had intent to
commit the offence. For example if an individual has committed the offence of criminal damage to a
property either intentionally or recklessly, it would only be correct to charge the individual with
attempting to cause criminal damage with the intention to damage property and not attempting to
cause criminal damage by being reckless. On the other hand recklessness may sometimes be sufficient
for the full offence for attempt. For example in R v Khan (1990) 2 All ER 783, on a charge of
attempted rape contrary to section 1(4) Criminal Law (Rape) Act 1990, it was sufficient enough for
the prosecution to prove the intent to have intercourse whether or not the women consenting was help

Power of Power Essay
Among the most complex systems is a simple yet overwhelming desire for an establishment of power,
if one(it?) does not already exist. Power can be greedy, selfish, aggressive, but also a necessity for
order and peace. It is always controlling. It has existed since the beginning of time and will continue
to play a vital role in the lives of all, forever. In literature, power can be depicted in a variety of ways,
affecting different numbers of people and things. Margaret Atwood s Helen of Troy Does Countertop
Dancing , Toni Cade Bambara s The Lesson , Henrik Ibsen s A Doll s House , and Alice Walker s
Everyday Use each uniquely examine the influence of power in their characters lives. The roots from
which power takes place, the depths ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Torvald treats his wife irrationally, as he places himself above her. He calls her names that make her
seem small, such as helpless little creature (Isben 589) and child. (590). Nora is submissive to his
dominant commands, and obeys him, possibly because she is fearful of losing him or her life.
Krogstad, though, has the upper hand due to the financial loan and debt that Nora has withheld from
her husband. Krogstad blackmails Nora with a letter that he threatens to give her husband if she does
not fix his problems with Torvald. Nora feels obligated to both men, for the welfare of herself and her
family to do as they say. Of course, with an excessive amount of power comes conflict. The extent to
which power drives one to their breaking point can be directly connected to their attachment to the
individual controlling them. For Nora, the guilt, fear and stress that grew within her push her to new
extremes. As she put her full trust in Krogstad and her life in the hands of her family, she realizes she
can no longer handle her dissatisfaction in the games they play with her heart. She contemplates
suicide, to permanently terminate the power exerted over her, but is reminded by Krogstad that he
would still have [Torvald] completely in power (Isben 588). Instead, she decides to live her life by
leaving her husband and children, after telling Torvald It s your fault I ve done nothing with my life

The Myth of Exodus Essay
The Myth of Exodus
There are many themes running through the Old Testament myth of Exodus slavery, rescue and
redemption, guidance, commandments on how to live, the creation of a nation, and God s power over
other gods. In this paper I will explore what appears to be the chief reasoning behind the creation of
the Exodus myth the explanation of the creation of a monotheistic religion and the similarities of the
Exodus myth to the ancient myths, as well as how one should approach the reading of the myth.
First of all, we need to understand what a myth is. William Bascom says in his essay, The Forms of
Folklore: Prose Narratives , Myths are prose narratives which, in the society in which they are told,
are considered to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the heart of the matter, the creators of a myth are attempting to explain their world in a world
absent of science and sophisticated tools of research. In approaching myth, the reader must enter into
the world of the creators of the myth, instead of attempting to impose their own societal beliefs and
expectations on it. In short, we need to read the myth in imitation of how the myth was originally
received.
In the myth of Exodus, a monotheistic system of worship was needed in order to create a unified
nation with one god. Exodus attempts to provide an explanation for this movement away from the
traditional polytheistic religion. Lauri Honko says in her essay, The Problem of Defining Myth ,
...myths can be characterized as ontological: they are incorporated and integrated into a coherent view
of the world, and they describe very important aspects of life and the universe (Dundes 51). Within the
pages of Exodus we find the first code of laws the Ten Commandments for living as a monotheistic
society. God begins the Ten Commandments with admonishment to keep Him above all other gods,
I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery; you
shall have no other gods before me (Exodus 20:1 3).
In this passage, God reminds Moses that God is supreme above all other gods and he reminds Moses
of the miracle he has performed in bringing the people out of Egypt. The

Darkness At The End Of The Tunnel
Grotesque, sinister, overwhelmingly personal or simply the wailings of an afflicted soul? Sylvia Plath
an American poet, novelist and short story writer in her life wrecked with trials and tribulations had
experienced both sides of the coin. Even fifty two years after her doomful demise, she is celebrated for
her immense contributions to English literature. At the same time, her writing style has been at the
gunpoint of critical analysis ever since. Regarded as a significant pioneer of confessional poetry, she is
credited to have popularized and enforced this notion by emerging as one of the first creative writers
to have shed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The motifs, themes and symbols illustrated in her literary works portray disquieting remembrances,
emotional turbulence, a stark sense of remoteness and an unheard voice to combat oppressions. Her
autobiographical novel, the Bell Jar pertinently encompasses the protagonist s arduous journey as a
delusional woman against the patriarchal society, symbolic of Plath s solitude and self mutilation. I
felt very still and empty, the way the eye of a tornado must feel, moving dully along in the middle of
the surrounding hullabaloo. Her poem Daddy illustrated the mixed emotions she had towards her
father, depicting an arch sentiment of betrayal. She used Jews and Nazis as metaphors for their
shattered relationship. In the German tongue, in the Polish town, scraped flat by the roller of wars,
wars, wars. But the name of the town is common. My Polack friend. Drawing from holocaust imagery
again, Lady Lazarus is figurative of brutality, signifying Plath s suicidal attempts. Emphasizing on her
body parts as separate from the whole; she pricked at the male dominant society s outlook for women
as mere objects. This piece of literature throws light at Plath s yearning and obsession on the subject
of death as she considered it to be an art. Dying is an art, like everything else. I do it exceptionally
well. While Plath viewed death as the hostile ultimatum and a coercing ending along with perceiving
this natural phenomenon in the literal sense, Emily Dickinson, another established American poet
known for gothic elements and dark imagery reflective of her seclusion from the society by choice,
examined death as an idealistic magnetism with a pinch of mysticism. For Dickinson, death presented
a two dimensional standpoint. It is what humans fear as well as long for their entire life. In certain
aspects, it may be symbolic of isolation, while in others it may

Speech On Dercum s Disease
Dercum s disease (DD), known medically as adiposis dolorosa (which literally translates to painful
fat) was first recognized by Dr. Francis Xavier Dercum in 1888. Though Dercum s disease is its most
recognizable name it is really a syndrome (a collection of symptoms that indicate a disease) and sadly,
it being one of the rarer of the orphan diseases, there are not many medical professionals that even
know it by any name let alone how to diagnose or treat it.
Dercum s is known to effect the vascular and lymphatic systems. There are many symptoms that can
present but the main indication of Dercum s is painful growths in the subcutaneous fat. These fatty
growths are called lipomas and can happen all though out the body and because they are so ... Show

I m Tired of Talking and Not Being Heard
OK, I ll admit, I love to talk. I love to write. I love to explain. In fact I have been told that I am a
chronic over explainer but some days I am just too tired of explaining just what is going on with me.
One day I may be up and fine and another day I am out for the count.
For some reason I feel that if someone tells you they have cancer there is just that understanding and
no explanation is needed. Since I love to explain so much, let me try to make this clear: If someone
has a sickness that is going to be with them until the day they die, whether it is that sickness that is the
cause of their death or something else, it remains a burden every day. Some days are better than others
but it is still there insinuating itself in our bodies and waiting to strike again. Oh and usually it strikes

The Importance Of Being Earnest With An Ideal Husband
A play of manners is realistic in the sense that the satire is still representative of the foolishness of real
people.
...there are characters in it that can always recognize a fool. The laughter that the witty young bucks of
the older comedy share with the audience at the expense of a fool or fop unites the real world and the
world of the play by showing that the same criteria for reason and unreason are valid in both (Foster,

Reinert compares The Importance of Being Earnest with An Ideal Husband. In his earlier play, Lord
Goring is a hero who seems flippant and shallow but is later shown to have wit and character.
Whereas, in Earnest the characters remain fools throughout the play. The heroes , Jack and Algernon,

Gender Issues In The Secret Life Of Bees
The Secret Life of Bees includes many issues that were going on during the 1960 s. Some issues stated
were more sought after than others depending where in the country one was located. In the book, Lily
lives in the heart of the south, South Carolina, which makes it easy to point out specific, debatable
topics. With this, The Secret Life of Bees portrays many of the movements and issues prevalent in the
1960s like Gender Issues, the Women s Rights Movement, and the Civil Rights movement.
As stated, the Secret Life of Bees provides an inside look at Gender Issues. During the 1960s, women
started to break free from the stereotype that they had to find marriage in their early 20s and have
children in the following years. In Secret Life of Bees, August does not follow the usual stereotype
and decides to be without a husband. The Daughters of Mary provide each other with support a man
could not. Although women started to rebel during this time, they still could not have credit card or
receive an Ivy League education. In addition, although women were allowed to work, they only
earned 60% of what a man earned. With all these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the 1960s women started to break away from gender roles, but still needed laws passed to
prove they were there. In 1960, birth control became legal in some states which allowed women to
have the freedom to decide to have children or not. Next, when the Civil Rights Act was passed, it

Midwifery Care Shortage Essay
Introduction
There is a predicted midwifery workforce shortage (The Department of Health, 2013). To address this,
the Australian Government has been implementing measures to support midwives to work to their full
scope of practice including increasing midwifery care in community settings (Department of Health
and Ageing, 2010).
This research proposal aims to understand and interpret metropolitan hospital based lived experience
of providing extramural midwifery care after hospital based midwifery experience.
From this understanding any issues that impact negatively on midwives may be identified and the risk
mitigated.
Contextual review
The majority of maternity care is provided within a hospital setting and within a medical model
(Owens, et al., 2016).
The Australian Government policy is to increase women s access to midwifery care within their local
community (Department of Health and Ageing, 2010) however the majority of publically employed
metropolitan midwives are siloed into discrete areas of practice (antenatal, birthing, postnatal care and
home visiting). Providing care outside of a hospital setting is new to many metropolitan Australian
midwives.
Literature review
A literature review was undertaken in August and September 2016 through Queensland University of
Technology (QUT) library service to ascertain if this experience has been studied and to identify other
similar studies and how they were designed.
The first search used the key words: midwife experiences

Math In The Criminal Justice System
In this day and age, math is utilized everywhere. Math can be found in books, television and schools.
However, above all, math is found in each employment. We may not trust that math is applied all
around, until we end up using it for the easiest things. Occupations require their employees to know
essential math for basic things, for example, running a money enlist and numbering deals. Math is
necessary in the world. Without math, the world would be very different. Each occupation utilizes
basic math to take care of fundamental issues and to solve basic problems. A job that requires math is

A sales associate is in charge of working with customers to help find what they want to ensure a

must subtract the correct amount to have an accurate discounted price. Tasks such as counting and
keeping track of money in registers is math. Similarly, a store manager runs the store and makes sure
the store meets budget and sales goals. Working in a retail store uses the simplest math such as adding
and subtracting. Computing the total amount of sales, calculating the percentages of discounts, and
determining the amount of sales tax is basic math used every day by a sales associate on the

I read a text called The importance of families and the home environment by Jennifer Cole and the
National Literacy Trust. Jennifer Cole talks about how child s family and home environment has a
strong impact on his or her language and speech development and school achievement. A parent or
parents are a child s first form of educator. Cole writes about how social economic statues, family size,
and parents education impact an child s home environment. The conveyed that education polices
should not limit and only aim to improve literacy standards when children on spend a small
percentage of their lives in school, yet polices should aim to embrace the idea of family as a whole
and to get parents and guardians to be involved with him or her early.

Hallucinations In Schizophrenic Patients
The assumption outlined by Bentall (2006), postulates that one should abandon psychiatric diagnosis
altogether, and rather attempt to explain specific complaints that individuals bring to the attention of
the clinician. For example if an individual presents hallucinations clinicians should explain the
mechanisms by which the hallucinations occur rather than simply labelling the individual as
Schizophrenic. When applying this approach, specific difficulties can be investigated without the
constraints of the assumption that they belong to a broader diagnostic category. Which consequently
allows psychiatrists to gain a more in depth insight as to why these difficulties may arise and by what
mechanisms. Bentall (2006), further implies that once ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Returning back to the example of a schizophrenic symptom namely delusions, Bell, Halligan and

minority are not disabled by their anomalous beliefs they are consequentially not labelled as
Schizophrenic. This can lead one to suggest that delusions are not a discrete entity; rather they are a
qualitative deviation from normal experience. Hence assuming a continuum format that ranges from
normal beliefs to disabling beliefs (Johns Van Os, 2001). Further researchers have used examples like
this to indicate that the distinction between normality and abnormality is arbitrary. Under what
theoretical reasoning have psychiatrists decided to place the boundary along the continuum of
functioning? Why should we choose the top 5%? These questions have lead many to question the
ability of these classification systems to accurately distinguish between normality and

Teaching As A Teacher And Student Work
Assessment:
ELL students are children that are not proficient in English language. For teaching to be more efficient
and effective, the teachers should know about the follows: As a teacher he/she needs to model for
students what they are expected to do, especially for new skills or activities for the ELL students.
Teachers should know their students cultural background and their academic level of the students. The
teacher should demonstrate the learning actions, sharing your thinking processes aloud, and showing
good teacher and student work samples. Teachers should speak slowly and clearly, and provide
students with enough time to formulate their responses, whether in speaking or in writing. Teachers
should also use visuals, sketches, gestures, intonation, and other non verbal cues to make both
language and content more accessible to students who are learning how to speak English. Teaching
with visual representations of concepts can be hugely helpful to ELLs. Teachers should give verbal
and written instruction which can help language learners practice how to speak English. Furthermore,
teachers should regularly check for the students understanding the lesson by saying Please put thumbs
up or thumbs down if the lesson is clear. Teachers should encourage English learner students to
continue building their literacy skills in their home language because study show that English learners
learning to read in the home to promote reading achievement in the second language.

the cytosol of the axon terminal, which results in acetylcholine release from the synaptic vesicles by

acetate and choline by AChE, which causes depolarization to end. The axon terminal reabsorbs
choline form the synaptic cleft and uses it to resynthesize ACh. B. Differentiate between the absolute

I think that a social worker in this situation would have a lot to deal with because it would be hard for

changing the person mind. Checking the student record to see if she had a social worker before is a
good idea because if she has you can go to that social workers and find a little more information about

A nonbiased scientific opinion poll is what is known to be the inquiry or the survey created to
determine the public s perspective concerning a specific subject or sequence of subjects. Qualified
interviewer ask people random questions. Answers are given, and explanations are made depending on
the consequences. It is significant in a random sample that each one in the population being
considered for the study has the same chance of contributing. or else, the outcome could be biased
and, consequently, not representative of the population. Representative samples are selected to create
generalizations about a certain population being studied. Polls tell us what part of the population has a
certain point of view. They do not clarify why respondents think as they do or how to change their
minds. This is social scientists and scholars job . Polls are basically used as a measurement that
informs us of what a population feels and thinks about any given topic. This can be beneficial in
helping variety cultures comprehend one another since it allows the people to have a chance to speak
for themselves and share their perspectives instead of letting vocal media stars talk on behalf of all. in

Oriental Art Essay
Oriental Art Oriental art is very distinct from other parts of the world. In their sculptures they still used
such materials as clay, wood, and bronzes. However their art work promoted such things as goodness
in nature, serenity, graceful balance, spiritual perfection, and a mystical harmony within themselves.
There work avoided confusion, conflict and violent emotions at all costs. New or unprecedented
experiments in their art work was never welcomed, and the expression of nobility and inner worth

The Shang people came into history half way through the second millennium B.C., these people also
lived in pounded earth settlements, and made funeral vessels. These people established the li which
was the basic metallic shape used in their bronzes. Not only was the li used, but also other shapes have
been discovered. In recent excavations, thousands of different vessels have been found, however it is
possible to distinguish about forty basic shapes of the vessels. Each vessel served a different purpose
in sacrifice or funeral ceremonies. Some where used for wine and water, some for storing foods, while
others where used for cooking meats. The Shang dynasty have left some sculptures as original and
different as there bronzes. However none of the large statue survived excavations. The importance of
the excavations cannot be overemphasized. Who would have imagined an ancient culture so rich that
they actually created stone sculptures, wheel made pottery, carved jade, and bronzes, which have
never been surpassed.
Too often when people speak of Oriental art they think that both China and Japan developed in the
same way and the same time. This statement however is false, and the Japanese art did not start till
several years after Chinese art did. The first forms of Japanese art can be looked at through the Jomon
people, who where nomadic hunters and fishers. A number of human figurines and fertility gods have

Cleveland Indians Argumentative Essay
The Cleveland Indians are a baseball team founded in 1894 (cleveland.indians.mlb.com). Although the
name is obviously racist, in 1894 there unfortunately was not as large of public concern regarding the

depicts a Native American referred to as Chief Wahoo, an aspect of the team that also creates public
scrutiny. For these reasons, the Cleveland Indians are changing their logo. However, the
implementation of the decision will be put off a year and the team will continue using the name.
Moreover, the logo will still be available on merchandize, enabling the team to profit off of racist
insignia. In 2014, president and CEO of the Cleveland Indians, Mark Shapiro, had already limited the
use of the logo. Thus, evidently, the Cleveland Indians are not doing enough to combat the prejudice

The courts gave limits to the application of section 49(2) by giving that the proof lies on the person or
accused (arrester) depending on the guardians of section 49(2), to show that his or her action fell in the
that particular section. The state had to show proof the root of the offence committed goes beyond a
sensible uncertainty.
The courts specified that section 49 needed a severer test, and that, that section shouldn t be given a
open minded meaning but rather, it should and must be interpreted and practiced but with limits
against the person that wants to depend on it (Burchell, 1997).
In Section 49, as it used to be, it was used by the law implementation agencies as a free means to kill

The court reasoned that the entry of any part of the apartment was sufficient to establish entry into the building because the hallway, elevator, and parking garage are appurtenant structures of the apartments. Id. at 2. In Lopez, the defendant entered a hotel room that was found to be a building because the room was intentionally comprised from walls, ceilings, and a door that provided suitable shelter. The case at bar is similar to Lopez, because here, the Defendant entered a parking lot that was intentionally constructed from component parts of a covered walkway, a fence, and entry doors. Each component contributes to the overall building because the closure from the parking lot fence was designed to wall out trespassers; the covered walkways provide an overhead shelter from the elements in the same manner as a ceiling; and entry doors allow access for apartment residents. All of which, comprise component parts of a building for the express purpose of affording suitable shelter to humans. In Walker, a dairy farmer built an attached structure to his barn that was somewhat exposed to the elements. The article estimates that 11 18 year olds spend up to 11 hours a day on the social media sites and exposed to media via electronics. It is estimated that approximately 73% of adolescents are on social networking sites whether they meet the age restriction or not. The young people s parents are following the footsteps of them by starting to use the sits they see the adolescents on after the adolescents have started using it, this is a parallel to what was expected since these sites were originally adult oriented and created for an older audience. A majority of young people will wake up and check their social media profiles as well as check them again before going to bed at night. How that Impacts Day to Day Life The constant checking of social media and electronic sites can become interruptive to daily tasks. For things like paying attention in class the thought of checking social networking sites can be enough cause for distraction. Wondering whether you received any snapchats from people or how many likes your last picture got can be temptation enough to pull out a phone and check to see if you have notifications from your favourite sites. • 7. Alfred P Murrah Building Bombing Alfred P Murrah Building Bombing By: Ryan Agnos In Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995, at 8:50 AM Timothy McVeigh parked a Ryder truck on the street in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The truck had a very powerful bomb made out of ammonium nitrate and fuel. McVeigh set a timed fuse and in turn of events it was bombs away while he fled the scene in a getaway car. At precisely 9:02 AM the bomb detonated ripping through the building s north wall. But incensed McVeigh was already 90 miles north. When police interrogated McVeigh, they found out his motive for bombarding the building. McVeigh felt upset because poor actions of the ATF during the siege didn t go as planned. McVeigh stated in response ATF, all you tyrannical people will swing in the wind one day for your treasonous actions against the Constitution of the United States. Remember the Nuremberg War Trials. The reason McVeigh bombed the building was because he recognized that there was an ATF office inside of the building and that would be his initial target. McVeigh was unaware that there was a daycare program inside the building. In this paper I will explore what appears to be the chief reasoning behind the creation of the Exodus myth the explanation of the creation of a monotheistic religion and the similarities of the Exodus myth to the ancient myths, as well as how one should approach the reading of the myth. First of all, we need to understand what a myth is. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At the heart of the matter, the creators of a myth are attempting to explain their world in a world absent of science and sophisticated tools of research. In approaching myth, the reader must enter into the world of the creators of the myth, instead of attempting to impose their own societal beliefs and expectations on it. In short, we need to read the myth in imitation of how the myth was originally received. In the myth of Exodus, a monotheistic system of worship was needed in order to create a unified nation with one god. Exodus attempts to provide an explanation for this movement away from the traditional polytheistic religion. Lauri Honko says in her essay, The Problem of Defining Myth , ...myths can be characterized as ontological: they are incorporated and integrated into a coherent view of the world, and they describe very important aspects of life and the universe (Dundes 51). I felt very still and empty, the way the eye of a tornado must feel, moving dully along in the middle of the surrounding hullabaloo. • 20. Midwifery Care Shortage Essay Introduction There is a predicted midwifery workforce shortage (The Department of Health, 2013). To address this, the Australian Government has been implementing measures to support midwives to work to their full scope of practice including increasing midwifery care in community settings (Department of Health and Ageing, 2010). This research proposal aims to understand and interpret metropolitan hospital based lived experience of providing extramural midwifery care after hospital based midwifery experience. From this understanding any issues that impact negatively on midwives may be identified and the risk mitigated. Contextual review The majority of maternity care is provided within a hospital setting and within a medical model (Owens, et al., 2016). Calcium ions enter the cytosol of the axon terminal, which results in acetylcholine release from the synaptic vesicles by exocytosis. Ach is broken down into acetate and choline by AChE, which causes depolarization to end. The axon terminal reabsorbs choline form the synaptic cleft and uses it to resynthesize ACh. B. It is significant in a random sample that each one in the population being considered for the study has the same chance of contributing. or else, the outcome could be biased and, consequently, not representative of the population. Representative samples are selected to create generalizations about a certain population being studied. Polls tell us what part of the population has a certain point of view. They do not clarify why respondents think as they do or how to change their minds. This is social scientists and scholars job . However their art work promoted such things as goodness in nature, serenity, graceful balance, spiritual perfection, and a mystical harmony within themselves. There work avoided confusion, conflict and violent emotions at all costs. New or unprecedented experiments in their art work was never welcomed, and the expression of nobility and inner worth where demanded. The Shang people came into history half way through the second millennium B.C., these people also lived in pounded earth settlements, and made funeral vessels. These people established the li which was the basic metallic shape used in their bronzes. Not only was the li used, but also other shapes have been discovered. In recent excavations, thousands of different vessels have been found, however it is possible to distinguish about forty basic shapes of the vessels. Each vessel served a different purpose in sacrifice or funeral ceremonies. Some where used for wine and water, some for storing foods, while others where used for cooking meats. The Shang dynasty have left some sculptures as original and different as there bronzes. However none of the large statue survived excavations. The importance of the excavations cannot be overemphasized. Although the name is obviously racist, in 1894 there unfortunately was not as large of public concern regarding the treatment of Native Americans. Now, the name is deemed to be offensive, as it should be. The logo depicts a Native American referred to as Chief Wahoo, an aspect of the team that also creates public scrutiny. For these reasons, the Cleveland Indians are changing their logo. However, the implementation of the decision will be put off a year and the team will continue using the name. Moreover, the logo will still be available on merchandize, enabling the team to profit off of racist insignia. In 2014, president and CEO of the Cleveland Indians, Mark Shapiro, had already limited the use of the logo.
