The global temporal/geographic setting and the third person point of view through which both
short stories are told are essential literary elements to likes by Sarah Shun lien Bynum and A Rose
for Emily by William Faulkner. The settings in both story provide the reader with context in order
to understand the conflict within both stories. Also the point of view the narrator in each story
narrates from gives the reader an understanding between both conflicting sides of the story. A
further analysis of the global temporal setting, the global geographic setting and the point of view
will explain why both of these literary elements are imperative to both stories. A story can have up

Even though their relationship is not affecting the town directly the people in the post Civil war
are not fond of Northerners. Homer was viewed simply as a disgrace to the town and a bad
example to the young people (Faulkner 408). The global temporal and geographic settings gives
readers the context they need in order to understand aspects of the story and see why the
characters behave as they do. The global temporal setting in likes by Sarah Shun lien Bynum is
modern day America and this adds to the father s dilemma he faces in the story. The father
yearns to build a relationship with his daughter, Ivy, but it seems that any opportunity he has to
connect with her is overpowered by Ivy s interest in technological devices. The father has time
alone with Ivy 2 times a week as he drives her to physical therapy but instead of them talking Ivy
is busy singing along with the radio or Sometimes, gazing at her phone, she would let out a low,
triumphant hiss. Yesssss! [As] She d got every answer right on the Kylie Jenner quiz (Bynum 59).
This interaction in the car is one that is common with modern technology because they serve as
distractions. Even when they are in the house Ivy is either watching TV or on Instagram while her
dad is trying to talk to her. The modern day temporal setting of this story is important to realize
because it is what essentially is causing the conflict in the story. The dad is not able to

Ancient Medicine
Today, the average American will undergo over nine surgeries in their lifetime, costing us an arm
and a leg. The basic fundamentals of these surgeries and equipment can be traced back to the
ancient Greek and Roman times. Many people may not see the less obvious transformations the
ancient Greco Romans had on modern day, such as advancements in the medical field, more
specifically, surgeries. By looking back into the past, we can see the vast amount of progression the
Romans had in surgical tools, operations, and medicine. Some of their success was due to religious
beliefs and way of life that they were able to be among the most modern and healthy ancient
civilizations. Though the common physicianwas often times not successful, military... Show more

Just think about how important bathhouses were back then, their place in the ancient Greek and
Roman lives relies on the large emphasis placed on being clean due to religious and medical

the likelihood of success in treatment of disease and or surgeries. The concept of germs had not
yet been developed but doctors cleaned equipment between uses with methods such as boiling and
soaking the tools in vinegar due to religious beliefs. This process played a large role for the
positive outcome Romans had in surgery compared to other cultures and proved the Romans more

Film Analysis Of Two Cars One Night
The films Two cars one night and Boy directed by Taika Waititi are based in New Zealand. Two
cars one night is a short film and the idea for the movie Boy was derived from it. Taika Waititi
uses the film aspects of light and dark lighting and symbolism to portray the themes and his style of
directing through his movie Boy and his short filmtwo cars one night. Waititi uses the lens of a
child to portray what is happening throughout the movie plot to show the lasting moments in
childhood. As a director Taika Waititi expresses his concerns of viewing through the lens of
innocence or a child. He explains that what being creative is about having fun and looking at life
through like a sort of the lens of a child s eye through a ted talk. As it... Show more content on

The lighting in this point in the film almost camouflages the car as it is pitch black at nighttime.
It enables the audience to only see the car s window and the faces inside the car. This gives the
audience a feeling of mystery as they re trying to work out who is inside the car. Waititi uses this
aspect as well in his other film, Two Cars One Night. He uses the lightning to control the audience s
emotions around who in what cars. By weaving the dark lightning around.
Set in 1984 The short film, Two cars one night utilizes the filming aspect of lightand dark lighting
to the contrast between the two cars with children in a pub car park. The long shot exhibited in
the scene gives the picture of the two cars in the car parking lot while the adults are inside the
pub. It shows the aspect of safety and danger for the children as they wait for their parents to
come out from inside of the bar and pub. It also signifies the familiar and unknown as the
children explore with their eyes what is around them. Taika uses the aspect of light and dark light
to symbolize danger and create tension within this scene because as an audience we associate
nighttime with being unsafe for children, and he uses the dark light and children in this scene to
create a sense of danger. An example of this is when the car the two Boys are in is captured sitting
still while the surrounding everything is moving, such as the people and the dark night sky. It
portrays the darkness

The Impact Of Organizational Operating Environments On The...
1.Compare the 2008 top 5 IT management concerns (Luftman et al) and the 2013 top 5 IT
management concerns (Kappelman et al). What concerns have changed in importance? Are there
any new concerns? In your opinion, what changes in organizational operating environments have
resulted in the differences in the priority of concerns? Please justify your answers.
Society for Information Management (SIM) has periodically surveyed about the key important
issues facing IT executives in United States which mainly focused on Management, application and

business is being conducted is altered by few newly available technologies.

Examples Of Appeasement
Appeasement was merely a catalyst that aids in the materialization of Hitler s ambitions which
was the main driving force to Hitler s expansionist policies. Appeasement is a policy of making
material concessions to an enemy power which is Adolf Hitler, the dictator of Germany in this
context in order to avoid conflict and maintain peace. Main driving force can also be defined as the
biggest motivation for Hitler to pursue his expansionist policies which is his ideas of establishing
Lebenstraum and Greater Germany. Thus, appeasement to a small extent, is the main driving force
behind Hitler s expansionist policies.
Firstly, the main driving force behind Hitler s expansionist policies is his personal ambition. Hitler

Appeasement made Hitler bolder in his expansionist policies. An example of appeasement is the
Reoccupation of Rhineland. When Hitler ordered his soldiers to march into Rhineland,
breaching the terms of TOV, France was prepared to force Hitler back down if Britain agreed to
support her. However, Britain wanted to avoid going to war by all means so Britain appease
Hitler by not doing anything to force him to back down. France believed that there were 295,000
men stationed in Rhineland which in reality was a bluff and was not confident of fighting
Germany alone so she backed away. Thus, Hitler was able to invade Rhineland. The
appeasement made it an easy way for Hitler to acquire more land even though he did not have
enough soldiers because even countries like France and British believed that Germany s military
was that strong and were willing to give in easily to Hitler s demand. Also, appeasement resulted
Hitler to become even bolder in his expansionist policies by demanding more lands as he knew
that Britain and France was the most unwilling to fight a war and would not put a stop to his
actions even if it means breaking the international law. Thus, appeasement was a small driving force
behind Hitler s expansionist

An Account of the Rosewood Incident
After the reconstruction period there was high tension between the whites and blacks in the south.
Whites wanted nothing to do with black people and didn t want to have to share anything with
them. Whites did everything they could to intimidate blacks to keep them in their place . Black
people wanted nothing but to live their lives with their new found freedom, but they saw that no
matter what the law said they would never be accepted by the white community. White peopleoften
acted out in violence towards blacks whatever chance they got to drive them out. Anything a black
person did could result in violence. An example of the violence and hatred shown towards blacks
is the events of an incident in Rosewood, Florida in 1923. This incident was documented and the
accounts of blacks who were children at the time were taken down.
In 1923 in the town of Rosewood, Florida a white woman named Fannie Taylor who had been
having an affair was beaten one afternoon while her husband was at work by her lover. Mrs.
Taylor had a woman come by to help her with household duties named Sarah Carrier, she saw the
man who attacked Mrs. Taylor as did some of her black neighbors. Mrs. Taylor cried for help,
when someone came to her aid and asked who it was that did that to her out of fear she said it was
a black man. Her accusation that it was a black man caused hunt for this man throughout the town.

The Importance Of Body Art
First of all, body art can promote the self awareness of people, which means one focuses attention
on himself and understands personal features, feelings and behaviors. Body art has a strong
impact on human vision and soul, because it can always catch the human nature and embodies the
publicity of human nature (Greif, J., Hewitt, 1999). In fact, the body is the most primitive and
natural expression of human beings, and the art of body is an external form of expression, taking
the human nature as its main feature. Since the body art reflects the nature of human body, it
enables us to see the truest and the most essential things in human society. As Hagel said, the body
of human is the inner life of the spirit . The word spirit is a realm yearns for truth, wisdom,
cognition, beauty and love, which never changes or fades. Therefore, on the one hand, body art
raises individual conscious. This in turn 3 makes people think about themselves more deeply;
understand both themselves and the development of human nature more clearly. Undoubtedly,
human society is able to make a progress by deepening the understanding of human beings. On the
other hand, body art awakens our appreciation of beauty and the greatness of our creator. Other
than showing the external beauty of the human body, body art, indeed serves as an artistic
appreciation. Modern artists borrow the body language to worship, appreciate the natural life of
youth, sing the praises of love and the pursuit of freedom

Impact of Remittance Due to Immigration in Nepal
Impact of Remittance due to Immigration in Nepal Background Movement of people to other
countries in search of employment is by no means a new phenomenon. Labor mobility has been an
important and essential feature of the economic and social development of societies throughout
human history. People are moving from one place to another since time immemorial and the
continuous movement has been an international phenomenon. Such movement of the people from
one place to another can be attributed to the rapid growth in transportation and communication
sector in the world. In case of developing countries, out migration has been an incessant and
evident phenomenon. Every year thousands of people migrate from their home countries in
search of employment opportunities. South Asia being a labor surplus region sends thousands of
labor to various nations every year. In case of Nepal, labor migration and remittance are the
major economic basis. Labor migration in Nepal has dramatically increased with the opening up
of new markets for Nepali labor in the countries like Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Qatar, Saudi
Arabia. Nepal Living Standard Survey 2003/04 suggests that now pre eminent role of the Gulf
Countries is as a destination for Nepali labor and source of remittances. Human resources are the
wealth of nation and their importance has tremendously increased in recent years for unskilled,
semi skilled and skilled people have shown tremendous inclination towards foreign employment

Understanding Homeland Security
a poor interpretation, information wasn t being shared. This made it almost impossible to connect
the dots when investigating suspicious groups or people (Chertoff, 2014).
After the attacks on September 11, 2001, there were several changes that had to be made. Although
the 9/11 attacks were a case of international terrorism, the new policies that were implemented
would cover all forms of terrorism. On November 25, 2002, the Department of Homeland Security
(DHS) was established. In the book Understanding Homeland Security, the author states, although
homeland security can certainly be significantly affected by threats originating from international
sources (such as al Qaeda), the concept of defending the homeland inside its borders is at the
heart of homeland security (Martin, 2017). Since operations of DHS began, it has continuously
grown in size. Today, DHS has more than 200,000 employees and is the third largest federal
agency. All of these employees are working diligently each day to help ensure the safety of the

Multiple Sclerosis Analysis
Multiple Sclerosis, or MS, is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. It causes the
destruction of the myelin sheath of nerve fibres. The myelin sheath is made up of protein and fatty
substances. It insulates our nerve fibers both in the central and peripheral nervous systems, and has
many other duties. The myelinaround the nerve fibers prevents the conduction of electrical
impulses. Between myelin cells, there are nodes which allows the conduction of pulses. These are
called the
Nodes of Ranvier. Instead of all the Sodium/Potassium channels opening one after another along the
nerve, only the ones that located at the node will open. This is called saltatory conduction because

When learning about any disease or malfunction in human pathology, a common first question is
what is the cause of this condition? In the case of Multiple Sclerosis, this is a tough question to
answer. Simply put, the cause of multiple sclerosis is unknown.
It #39;s considered an autoimmune disease in which the body #39;s immune system attacks its
own tissues (Brassington et al, 1998). Researchers work every day to continue to get closer to
finding the cause of Multiple Sclerosis, so that we can then find a way to treat it and help those
who suffer from it. From the research outcomes we have seen so far, it seems that MS has genetic,
environmental, and immunologic variables (Brassington et al, 1998). There have also been many
interesting proposals in what the underlying cause of MS was. These possible explanations include
a slow acting virus, a delayed reaction to a common virus, or an autoimmune reaction to something
which causes the body to attack its own tissues (Brassington et al, 1998). None of those possibilities
have
been confirmed undeniably yet, so in the research community, the race to find a cause, and then a
cure, is still very much

Drama Theatre Arts Class
We have been watching the in school performances for the Drama Theatre Arts classes every
year since eighth grade. To be apart of what I saw on stage was certainly a compelling experience.
Being in Drama Club, I understood what I was getting myself into. It was great to still being with
students like Nora and Alyssa who had a passion for theatre, but I also had to work with people
who aren t as into performing on stage. Theatre is a collaborative effort. Each group project
provided an internal struggle in the group. Either someone didn t know their lines, was
uncomfortable on stage, or was just hard to work with. I often found myself trying to hold a
group together and solving their problems. I know I m going to experience people like in the
theatre world, so I am glad I have experience in group thinking in an environment where I m not...

Although it is nothing new to me, risking on stage is something everyone struggles with. Improv

pretty well. Performance poetry was difficult. I didn t quite have the most harmonious group.
But I am glad we were able to go and preach what we did I had an absolute BLAST during the
musical theatre festival. I worked my butt off to go on stage, back to booth, on stage, back to
the booth, and for six hours straight. There were many technical difficulties, and I never want to
hear Sincerely Me again, but I had a blast while performing the number I did from Book Of
Mormon. My only regret is that I may have spread myself too thin. That number had so much
more potential, but I had to sacrifice so much of my rehearsal time to work on lights. I m just glad

I have a lot of experience in Minecraft server moderation, But I have never moderated on any other
game server. The following servers I have worked on I ve achieved ranked ranging from Helper all
the way to Manager and experiencing all the different ranks I was also able to learn all of the
different responsibilities each role had.
#1 Sarefine Pvp Network, I have most likely learned the most from this one huge experience.
Sarefine is a Practice PotPvP server (adding HCF soon) with an average amount of players around
200 and on days that they had updates ranged around 300 400. Anyways I worked on sarefine for
about two months or so and was promoted to Moderator rank. Sarefine was a huge learning
experience as I was taught how to screenshare and find vape etc. Not only that but I really taught
myself how to be extremely patient with players and how to deal with aggravated, and toxic
players without causing a network wide riot.. So you re probably wondering why I dont work
there anymore well I resigned, I resigned because a lot of changes were made to the staff team
that I was not comfortable with. One of the managers that I really enjoyed to talk to resigned and
a couple of my friends either resigned or got demoted. I decided that it was time to resign, If you

European Exploration Religion
Exploration Essay
Religion was not a major reason for European exploration because many of the European traders
and travelers wanted to get rich by finding gold or some other valuable object, people wanted to
travel to another place because of their country s poverty, disease, or and economic backwardness,
and also that the Europeans started traveling more ever since their technology and navigation was
more developed.
First, there are valid evidences to support that economics were more important to travelers and
traders than religion. The first supporting evidence of this is, The rise of capitalism in Europe was
undoubtedly a powerful spur to the process. Merchants, adventures, and government officials had
high hopes of finding precious metals and expanding the areas of trade, especially for the spices of
the East. (Page 494) This evidence shows that Capitalism was a great spur to the Renaissance, and

The first supporting evidence for this statement is, Portugal was too poor and rocky to support
more than a modest agricultural economy. It lacked the commercial expertise and resources to
break into the Italian dominated trade of the Mediterranean. (Page 22) This evidence stated that
people wanted to travel to other places because Portugal was too poor and rocky for people to
support an agricultural economy. Another supporting evidence is, Europe was poorly endowed
with gold. Many mines which had formerly produced gold were now all but exhausted; much
gold had been lost to Europe through plunder and continuing trade with the East. (Page 13) The
analysis of this evidence is that Most of the gold was gone in Europe because the mines were
exhausted, and Europe exchanged much of their gold to Asia to get spices, and other goods.
People also wanted to travel to new places because of their technological

The Popularity Of School Uniforms
The popularity of school uniforms is on the rise. As a student, it is a bit bizarre to say that
switching to uniforms may not be an awful idea after all, however this may just be the truth.
Although, I have never experienced first hand bullying, I have heard others talk about some of the
mean things people say to them about the way they look and dress. This hurts my heart to think that
people could be so hurtful to others, and I believe school uniformsare a way to prevent this and in
the end, better the school. There are plenty of facts that confirm that the requirement of school
uniforms is actually a good thing.
To begin with, it is very important that we acknowledge that education exists not only as an
academic, but also as a social and socializing experience for children (Massoia). School uniforms
can be very beneficial in this area considering they provide a sense of unity between the students,
resulting in a more friendly learning environment (Massoia). Angelina Massoia s article The
Positives of Uniformity, she explains her experience of surviving nine years of school uniforms and
four more years of dress code (Massoia). She tells how this experience allowed her to develop an
appreciation for education and structure (Massoia). Isn t this a quality every teacher and parent
longs for their child to possess? Matt Buesing a member of the Middle Township, New Jersey,

I Know You Love Me-Now Let Me Die By Louis M. Profeta...
Many families are willing to do anything to save their loved ones. In the article I Know You
Love Me Now Let Me Die by Louis M. Profeta, the author mentions a time when people died in
places with happy memories that were forgotten once technology began to develop. Because
dying in a familiar environment was the old way of letting a beloved person pass, Profeta uses
circular structure to explore how every family wants to preserve their loved one s life even if the
person wants to die. Some families were able to let their special ones pass with the last days
[s]pent with familiar sounds, in a familiar room, with familiar smells, that gave her a final chance
to summon memories that will help carry her away (Profeta). In the past, the passing... Show more

The author uses circular structure to state how people died before to display the importance of
the last phrase in an argument. As a result, many would see how their beloved ones would want
to stay in a comfortable place to leave with happy memories rather than trying to give their
families false hope. Additionally, instead of trying to come up with more ways to save a life of
a person that wants to rest in peace, the doctors and families chose to do what they should
instead of what they could and with that we will close our eyes to familiar sounds in a familiar
room, a fleeting smile and a final soft squeeze of a familiar hand (Profeta). Technology is often
thought as something that can be used for everything but when some can not depend on it
anymore, many will become aware of their surroundings. Families will see how they were not
aware of how their loved ones felt when they had no hope of surviving. Those that have not lived

Pros And Cons Of Ncaa Football
Over the years, changes have been made to the postseason of NCAA football. There have been
two major types of game series: the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) and the College Football
Playoffs (CFP). The BCS was introduced to have the best teams in the nation voted to secure
spots in bowl games, determining who is the best team of that year. The CFP let all games in the
regular season help a team reach the playoffs and play in the championship game to be declared
the NCAA champions. Although many people claim that the CFP s are the best option for the
NCAA, many people argue that the BCS is the better choice to conclude the footballseason, which
leads to think if the change to the CFP was the right choice. The BCS should be reinstated because
of its ability to have the top contenders for national champion play each other in order to be the
best in the NCAA.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An advantage of the BCS stresses how important it can be to win the weekly, regular season
games, and this makes the games more exciting for fans and players. Another advantage of the
BCS is that a conference cannot have a monopoly over the whole bowl series, this means that
one conference cannot hold a position in more than three bowl games. This form of post season
was instituted in 1998 to provide non typical match ups and determine the best teams in the
NCAA. This did not always work because the teams were also determined by a vote. People who
voted often chose the more popular team, because they did not always want to watch teams they
knew little about. Usually, the best team was picked in order to make for the most spectacular

I Am A Time Spent Writing
With my headphones positioned uncomfortably in my ears, I sat slumped against my headboard.
The inelegant curving of the wood dug into my shoulders, I didn t pay attention to the discomfort
of the plastic pressing into my ears or the misshapen wood digging into my skin as my mind trailed
off with a streamof words that filled cracks and gaps like water in a dry river bed. The urge to write
was tugging at the edges of my mind, but despondency precluded me from putting pen to paper.
Eighteen years of memories were painting pictures in my head, but the right words eluded me.
Was what I wanted to write worth the time spent writing?
Who would read it?
Would I ever share what I wrote?
No, no! My writing would be shot down before the first page was finished.

room, the walls were a worn and washed out blue. The ceiling was stark white with a bumpy and
uneven texture. I had starred at that ceiling many nights tracing pictures with my fingers in the air.

Many children have been adopted throughout the world. While many of them do not know their
origins, they grow up wanting to know about their birth parents. An adopted child may want to
know if his illness may be genetic. This would be important regarding medical records, and
having access to them for medical decisions. An adopted person may also like to learn about his
ethnic background since that person may want to know about his roots. A person who was

My Desire To Become A Nurse Anesthetist
Reflection #1
I decided to attend college because I ve always wanted to help people. As I grew older my desire to
help others lead me in a lucid career path. I wanted to become a doctor. I knew I wanted to become
a doctor, but I wasn t aware of how such of a complex career it would be. I realized that it would
take years of education, training and experience. Nevertheless, this was something I was
determined to do and complete successfully. So I worked hard in school. Occasionally I got a bit
side tracked, but with the help of my grandparents I recovered quickly. I also wanted to break the
cycle in my immediate family. By being the first person in my immediate family to attend college.

The Maya And Aztec Civilizations
The Maya and Aztec civilizations were both indigenous people that flourished in Mesoamerica.
Maya s classic period dates from 250 to 900 AD, which was considered to be the peak of their
civilization. They covered much of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and were centered in what is
now known as Guatemala. The Aztecs dominated in the post classic period from 1325 to 1521 AD,
in what is now modern day Mexico. Although, the Aztecand Maya s were from different time
periods they shared cultural similarities in social structure, military and religious rituals. Aztecs
were ruled by an emperor known as the Huey Tlatcani, the great speaker, which had absolute
power. The Huey Tlatcani was believed to have been a representative of the gods, and was
worshiped as a god. The Aztec empire was made up of many city states that were ruled by a
supreme ruler and a supreme judge. City states were politically independent, yet had to worship
the emperor and pay tributes. They were a structured society with a strict caste system divided
into two social classes. At the top were the hereditary nobles, priests and high ranking warriors. At
the bottom were the commoners, the serfs, indentured servants and slaves. Within these classes
they also had social rankings. (History.com). Similarly, Maya civilizations were also made up of
many city states that were each ruled by a king or high priest known as Ahau. Maya s caste system
however was divided into three social classes with kings, priests

The Sea s Ability Of An Intertidal Rock Platform
Introduction
The sea s ability to produce an intertidal rock platform was first commented on as early as 1846
by Ramsey, and then decisively classified into four themes by Trenhaile (1980), which is still
relevant to scientist studying the formations today. The four themes are: 1) the role of marine and
subaerial processes in platform development; 2) morphology of shore platforms; 3) modelling
platform development; and 4) measuring rates of erosion (Stevenson 1, 2000). Research has
commonly assumed that the origins of the shore platform are wave cut, however in recent years
there has been research into a wider range of platforms and process leading to more theories.
Defining and Distinguishing between Shore Platforms
In order attempt to distinguish between different types of shore platforms, the most basic form
of description is those, which slope seaward, and then those with a distinctive seaward edge
characterised by a cliff (Stephenson et al., 2013). Sunamura has helped characterize those cliffs
with the use of calling the slope edge a Type A Platform and a Cliff edge and a Type B Platform,
this is represented in Figure 1. Fig. 1. A visual representations of shore platform categories as
described by Sunamura (1992) in Kennedy (2015).
Morphological Approaches
It is a contentious issue amongst researchers as to whether weathering or wave erosion have a bigger
role in the development of a shore platform. Bartrum, 1935; Hills, 1972) both regard wave erosion
as the

Dealing With Absence By Emily Bronte And Thomas Hardy
A lot of times in life you feel some presence of absence. Now what the absence is can vary
greatly. You can feel this missing element in a lot of things in life. It can be from a loved one all
the way to a hobby. Obviously when you feel the absence, you have to find some way to deal
with it. That is exactly what Emily Bronte and Thomas Hardy do in their poems. In Emily
Bronte s poem the speaker is dealing with the loss of a loved one. The speaker is trying to make
some decisions on what to do and her way is one way to look at things. In Thomas Hardy s first
poem he has another unique way of dealing with this absence. His isn t in the same way though
because it isn t about the same thing. Then in his second poem there is yet another take on
absence, it has a very harsh tone to it and is an extremely dark poem. Dealing with absence can be
approached in many different ways. In the poems Remembrance by Emily Bronte, The Darkling

Women s Suffrage
Women s Suffrage
University of Phoenix Online
HIS/120 US History 1865 1945
November 2007 Women s Suffrage
Women s Suffrage is a subject that could easily be considered a black mark on the history of the
United States. The entire history of the right for women to vote takes many twists and turns but
eventually turned out alright. This paper will take a look at some of these twists and turns along
with some of the major figures involved in the suffrage movement.
Women s SuffrageBackground
The first recorded instance in American history where a woman demanded the right to vote was in
1647. Margaret Brent, a property owner in Maryland wanted two votes in the newly formed
colonial assembly to represent her vote and the vote of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This was not an easily won victory however. Congress first took up the issue in 1915 but the bill
lost in the voting and was shelved for almost three years. ( Women s Suffrage, 2007) On the eve
of the vote President Wilson made a widely publicized appeal for the passage of the bill and this
time the bill barely passed with the need two thirds majority. However, the bill failed to gain the
necessary votes to pass the Senate even with another of President Wilson s appeals for the
passage of the bill. The bill would be voted down twice over the following year before finally
gaining enough votes to pass due to Congress interest in having the issue solved prior to the
presidential elections slated for 1920 and on June 4, 1919 the Senate voted to pass the bill to add
the amendment to the constitution securing women s rights.
The effects of the 19th amendment on the United States can be seen everywhere. More women
now hold public office and the United States even has a woman running for the Democratic
nomination for president. The women s voting block is one politicians can not forget about and
still have hopes of being successful. The ability of women to vote, even though sparsely used until
the 1980s, changed how companies did business and what legislation was passed for respect of the
potential voting power of women. More women friendly policies exist, both in the workplace and
in general life, which can be attributed to the hard work

Prostate cancer refers to the malignant growth of glandular cells located in the prostate. Under
normal circumstances these cells sit in the glands which are responsible for the production of
fluids that make up most of the semen in males [2]. However once these cells lose their control,
what happens is that they will keep on growing until they become cancerous [2]. Ultimately this
means that the natural surrounding layers that did act like barriers for these cells are now
broken and therefore allows the spread of these malignant cells to other organs within the body,
particularly the bones and lymph nodes [2]. When this does take place the risk of death also
increases. At the age of 85, a man is said to have a 1 in 5 chances of developing prostate cancer
sometime in their life. The risk is said to double if a male has a first degree relative who has been
diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Clinical features: Symptoms and signs
Every human body is slightly different in their own way and because of this reason there are
people who do not experience symptoms of prostate cancer [3]. Unfortunately Prostate cancer is a
disease that does not give any warning signs when it is growing. In most cases a male with
prostate cancer does not receive any specific symptoms of concerns; reason is that prostate cancer

Irregularities in Othello
Irregularities in Othello
The Shakespearean tragedy Othello contains various irregularities of time and occurrence which
cause the audience to scratch their head in wonder and doubt. Let us analyze some of these
shortcomings in this essay.
In the Introduction to The Riverside Shakespeare Frank Kermode explains one of the difficulties in
Othello:
Othello murders his wife on the second night in Cyprus. The difficulty, of which Shakespeare was
clearly aware, arises from the fact that this leaves no time for her to have had stol n hours of lust,
certainly not to have enjoyed them repeatedly, as Iago alleges. In such allusions to frequent adultery

It presents the general as an inconsistent character, unable to control his feelings at this time even
though he has a hundred previous times controlled his feelings in exemplary fashion, in the manner
of a general. In her book, Everybody s Shakespeare: Reflections Chiefly on the Tragedies, Maynard
Mack comments on the impropriety of the general s treatment:
Here time present, in which Desdemona speaks and sings, and time future, in which we know

chose. In that other world, her husband might have been a Venetian gentleman, someone like
Lodovico perhaps a proper man, she confides to Emilia such a man as surely would never strike
his wife in public or humiliate her in private as a common prostitute? (132)
Is it logical for the hero to switch from his initial attitude toward his wife ( As this that I have

The Future Of My Life
As a child born right before the turn of the millennium, the world was already developed for me.
I was born in a time where people could go anywhere they wanted to if they worked hard enough. If

The Bodybuilding Subculture
In addition, to become a member of the bodybuilding subculture one has to be committed to the
sport and to their body. By bodybuilding, I m referring to the drive which some call it an
obsession, for physique perfection including huge amounts of muscle mass and low levels of body
fat. Included in this description is also the drive for maximum intensity both in and out of the gym.
In bodybuildingthere has to be a desire in becoming big, goals defined by its nature should scream
to others as a way to grab people s attention and let them know that you are not normal, that is how
you become a member of this subculture. The average gym lifter has to view a bodybuilder as

These groups of people who share an interest and often obsession for building muscle make it a
priority on exercising and eating a proper diet that will help them create more muscle and
transform their bodies. The majority of bodybuilders share the same mentality in a way that all
have an insatiable appetite for the perfect muscular body, one that some non bodybuilders deem
as a bizarre and even freakish art form. This group of individuals has pride in being eccentric and
different from the normal in the aspect of changing their body in order to construct and shaping
the body in a way most desire but are not motivated to make a difference in their lifestyle. As the
majority of bodybuilders spend a large amount of time in the gym exercising, because it takes time
and dedication in order to go down the path of a body transformation, something that most non
bodybuilders don t understand, they expect their bodies to change from one day to the next. And
as soon as they do not see results they give up, it takes years of practice to see results. After
everything that I have seen and learned it has made me want to become a part of the subculture,
there is so much to learn from them in building muscle and transforming the body, there is an
abundance of knowledge behind lifting a weight and knowing the proper techniques in reaching the

A Wonderful Monograph By Melissa Archer
Introduction
This is a wonderful monograph by Melissa Archer with a comprehensive study of the theme of
worship in the Apocalypse . It illustrates various aspects of worship and the role of worship in the
Apocalypse. The language of the book and different approaches to the theme are appreciated,
because those are simple and clear to understand the theme.
Summary of the book
The context of the book is well organized. Archer divides her text into five chapters, and every
chapter has an introduction and a summery, which is really helpful to read and get the message at
the first glance.
Chapter one is a survey of modern scholarly literature related to the theme of worship in the
Apocalypse. It is divides into four subtopics; A) The theme of worship as a whole, B) The hymns
in the Apocalypse, C) Revelation 4 5, D) Additional worship scenes.
Chapter two is focused on the methodology for the study engaging North American Pentecostalism
and Pentecostal hermeneutics. In this chapter she introduces the term Wirkungsgeschichte ; how to
discover the worship in the Apocalypse.
Chapter three is a careful reading of the early Pentecostal periodical materials. She explains how
the worship practices of early Pentecostals using both the Wesleyan Holiness and the Finished Work
traditions during the time period of 1906 1916.
Chapter four is focused on a sustained narrative reading of the Apocalypse with the theme of

Analysis Of The Book The Scarlet Letter
As I began my summer reading assignment I wasn t too amused at the beginning chapters
of the Scarlet Letter, With Hawthorne throwing around words like quietude I wasn t sure if
it was truly the difference in his old English speech, or if he was tossing in obscure words just to
send people looking through their dictionaries to find out if he had, in fact, made the word up, or
not. But, as I delved deeper into Hawthorn s work I found a brilliant story with some of the
richest characters I had ever had the pleasure of reading about. Of the four major characters in
the book, I empathized with Arthur Dimmesdale the most. Dimmesdale is man of God
imprisoned by his own beliefs, and because of this he lives his life wallowing in guilt, despair,
and pain. Dimmesdale wants to be a father to Pearl, but to do so it would jeopardize his social
standing in the Puritan culture and his career. In his confliction, Dimmesdale feels that he
should punish himself; he takes away what little humanity he has left just so he can feel he has
appeased God. I can t help but feel sorry for a man who lives in such a heartbreaking pool of
despair and self loathing.
Where Dimmesdale s character really shines, though, is in the Election Day sermon scene
and the scenes leading up to the Election Day sermon. After leaving the forest Dimmesdale is
filled with new life and motivation. He now has purpose, something to live for. Later, in the
third scaffold scene, Dimmesdale

Research Paper On The Harlem Renaissance
The Harlem Renaissance of the New Negro period was a similar period of progressive change.
Many African Americans changed the way in how they saw themselves, where they lived, and most
importantly the way the expressed their culture. The Harlem Renaissance is recognized as one of
the most important and productive periods in the history of American literature, art, and culture.
From the movement came some of the finest music, literature, and art of the twentieth century. The
new negro movement was dated from approximately 1919 to 1935. The big boom happened when
African Americans had migrated from the South for industrial centers such as Pittsburgh and
Detroit and for cities such as Chicago and New York City. Most of the African Americans that

Embrace What the World has Given to You
EMBRACE THE WORLD GIVEN TO YOU
So I walk into the Hyderabad Airport with so many things running in my mind. Even though this is
not my first time to New York, this moment I m coming to live here rather than visiting for a quick
holiday. But within a few weeks I realized the most important thing about moving to a completely
different environment you don t need to change yourself. All you need to alter is your perception.
My parents were more apprehensive than me. They believed that their son would return a much
fairer, different, open and heavily accented individual. They had seen such stories multiple times on
the television screen, and heard of it from other people, but never imagines it might happen to them
as well. Irrespective of their presumptions, I ended up encountering many new places and
experiences in just 6 months into this country. In this short span, I saw a tennis grand slam final,
surfed, skied, gambled and even flew a plane for the first time visiting 6 main US cities across the
country.
Unlike what I saw in all Hollywood movies, New York Citywasn t just about tall skyscrapers, busy
subways and glittering downtown. Having spent my entire life in the brutal heat of Hyderabad,
Vijayawada and Coimbatore, I was entering a climate that was chillingly different. It was hard to
imagine not being able to wear shorts and slippers and walk about without jackets or coats on a
daily basis. It s important to embrace the environment you enter, so you and it can maintain

Comparing Which Pinter And Larkin Show The Pressures Of...
Compare and contrast the ways in which Pinter and Larkin show the pressures of modern life on
the individual
In both The Caretaker and Larkin s Collected Poems, Pinter and Larkin frequently paint their
characters to live in a relentless state of fear and anguish caused often by the pressures of the
external world. In this critical understanding of both writers, I will explore how the variations of
pressures from modern life effecting and potentially harming individuals. The Caretaker and
Collected Poems were both written in the 1960 s. The Swinging Sixties was a revolutionary time,
with the introduction to new influential music, the contraceptive pill and iconic fashion. These
thriving characteristics defined the hedonistic era we ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mr Bleaney deals with a similar situation of characters residing in a fixed mind set that leads to
stagnant life. The speaker discusses similar physical restrictions and issues that he and Mr
Bleaney face living in the small cramped flat. The speaker reflects Where Mr Bleaney lay, and
stub my fags on the same saucer souvenir . Both men share the same dismal habits showing
negligence they have for their futures. The concept of self induced entrapment within a safe
sanctuary is brought upon both characters, showing no real desire to expand to the exterior
world. In comparison, Aston in The Caretaker resides in a safe sanctuary of his home and loyalty
of the shed concept. As a victim of electrotherapy, Aston is scared from the dangers of society s
pressures on him, so he constantly keeps himself busy with trivial tasks to keep his mind at rest.
Pinter s stage directions support Aston anxious habits, Aston crosses to the plug box to get another
plug during one of Davies excessively bogus stories, then later goes back to the bed just to fidget
with the new plug. Critic here supporting Aston s nervous ticks and reasoning behind it
Towards the end of the Mr Bleaney, Larkin potentially acknowledges that living in fear is a life
wasted. As the poem is retrospective, the speaker proclaims, That how we live measures our own
nature , as for Mr Bleaney who lived in trepidation of existence beyond his measly flat, has wasted
his life. The speaker reflects,

Reaction Paper About Aa Meeting
On April 12th, 2017 at 5:15 in the afternoon I attended an alcoholics anonymous (AA) meeting
located inside a catering building, Gardens at Sunset. This AA meeting was entitled, Wednesday
Eleven Step Group . When I initially pulled up to the site I was confused as to where the actual
meeting would be held, an abandoned hotel was on the left and a brightly painted blue building
on the right. I almost left for I feared the safety of my car. However, a woman in her fifties pulled
up behind me and after introducing myself to her, she informed me that the meeting would be
upstairs in the blue building. Despite the harsh outward appearance of the meeting site, the inside
was warm and comforting. The AA meeting was held in a loft above the catering... Show more

The meeting began with a prayer and a reading of the twelve steps, which I did, and preceded
into a 25 minute meditation session. Following the meditation session, the floor was opened up
for persons to reflect on their meditation. It was quiet for sometime, but eventually persons began
to talk. Each person that spoke introduced himself or herself as, Hi I am XXXX and I am an
alcoholic in which the rest of us responded with a hello. The discussion each person brought to
the circle often revolved around what they had been experiencing in the last week, and ended
with a positive spin that reflected back on their journey with sobriety. One gentleman talked about
his spring break on Orca Island with his kids, another discussed a speaker he was arranging to
have visit Spokane, and another woman talked about an essay reading party she went to in which
wine was being drank by the majority of participants. The meeting ended with the serenity prayer,
something the girls at Daybreak say before lunch, and simple discussion between some of the
participants. During this time I talked with the woman who had told me where to find the AA
meeting. She talked with me about the need to find the proper AA meeting for myself, encouraging

An Analysis of Two Advertisements Essay
An Analysis of Two Advertisements
I am going to analyse two adverts and discuss which one is more effective. The first advert that I
am going to study is marketing New Synergie lift by Garnier. The second is promoting the product
Total turnaround by Clinique. Both adverts were obtained from Marie Claire a magazine intended
for women aged between twenty and thirty. This suggests that the target audience for these two
particular adverts is women, who are possibly very conscientious about their appearance and who
typically have a salary, therefore will be able to afford the products being advertised.
The Clinique advert has a very simple yet effective layout. There is a photograph in the ... Show

As in Clinique there is a sentence at the top of the page backed by a white setting making it stand
out. This layout, although very different to that of Clinique is also very effective. It immediately
attracts the viewer to the main photograph of a beautiful lady, the reader then wants to see what
makes her this stunning, making them look around for indications in the advert.
The two adverts have very different layouts. The Clinique page is very simple with one main
group of images altogether in one place, whereas in Garnier advert places images over the entire
page spreading them keeping your eye moving all the time.
The layout of the Clinique advert is more effective than Garnier s because of the simplicity. The
eye is not distracted at all as it is in the Garnier advert but is forced to look at the most important
thing in the whole advert the product.
In the Clinique advert, the first thing that seizes your attention is the baby chick in the centre of
the page. Human instinct is to look at the eyes of another animal before any other part of their
body as this feature is what tells us the most about that particular species. This forces the reader to
look at the baby chick prior to the other images in the advert. The chick is very cute, fluffy and soft
looking. This instantly gives the reader the impression that this is

Much is mentioned about Ethiopia in the bible and as more slaves started to read about it soon
concluded that their homeland was part of the Garden of Aden, cradle of mankind . (Napti).
These revelations about Ethiopia came at a time when majority of African people, inside and
outside of Africa were ruled by white supremacy. Ethiopia one of the few places still not
dominated by white power became for all the Africans living in despair and oppression, a place
of freedom and of pride in their heritage. Soon after, hope emerged among the black population,
especially in Jamaica, where they lived in despair and poverty, oppressed by white ruling as
well. During the 19th century, when many Africans learn to write and read English, some grew
to be quite known and respected, in particular Marcus Garvey, a Jamaican born scholar. He was
seen as a prophet among the people living in the slums of Kingston, Jamaica. During this time,
the Rastafarian religion was not quite established yet; however his travels, organizational
abilities and pioneering efforts established a basis and a spirit for a foundation for Rastafari s
development (Dubb). He wanted to unify Africa in order to create a government ruled by the
black people. Garvin s vision was for blacks to overcome their feelings of inferiority

manufactured in 8oz cans. In 2017 Abbott Recloseable Containers will launch by Tetra Pak. In a
group study they were preferred over metal cans, easier to open, no sharp metal edges,
environmental friendly and easier stacking and transporting.
Transition phases include development, manufacturing, awareness, readiness and implementation
phases. This will be a huge endeavor as there are many pieces that need to come together and they
manufacture millions of cans. Manufacturing plants will need to operate with Tetra Paks,
distributor partners will need to be involved and end users in hospitals, nursing homes and home
care settings will all need to be educated on the new packaging.
Production Needs
Abbott Nutrition is transitioning all products that are in an 8 ounce can to the new Abbott

production and transport to all end users. In preparation for the new packaging and with increased

The Realization Of Doublethink In 1984 By George Orwell
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH is one of the party s key phrases. This means that having
uneducated, oblivious people, contributes to the power of the party. The citizens of Oceania must
believe everything the government tells them in order to be controlled. People who refuse to
believe these lies, or try to let people know the truth, are considered enemies of the party. This is
considered thoughtcrime, and anyone who is found guilty is subject to vaporization , and will
never be seen again. In 1984, George Orwell uses characterization of the protagonists, Winston and
Julia, and plot to explain how in a society built upon countless lies, it is a crime to think or spread
the truth. The character construction of Winston Smith is based around his thoughts of truth and
conspiracy. He tries to practice doublethink, but is often unsuccessful. If you want to keep a secret,
you must also hide it from yourself. (Orwell 283). This is a thought of Winston Smith near the end
of the book. This describes the thought process of doublethink, and how one must hide their true
thoughts from themself. When Winston is done being tortured, he begins to hide the truth from
himself. Life, if you looked about you, bore no resemblance not only to the lies that streamed out
of the telescreens, but even to the ideals that the Party was trying to achieve. (Orwell 74). Winston
has this thought while considering whether the proles could ever rebel. This passage is a
description of the contrast

Using Multiple Regression Project For New Stores
Multiple Regression Project Jay Ma MGSC6200, 50839 Facilitator: Ike Papadopoulos
05JUL2015 Introduction Pam and Susan s is a discount department store that currently has 250
chain stores located throughout the South. To sustain its recent continuous expansion into the
Border States and Southwest, identification of the sites for new stores has become an essential
factor of its increasing strategic planning. The current store decisions are based on the
traditional process of estimating sales potential with demographic analyses, site visits and
studies by the company s real estate department. A subjective approach was developed to
classify the potential sites to the competitive type of the trading zone. However, there are
ongoing concerns regarding the subjectivity of the competitive type classifications, and whether
this method can predict sales potentials at new sites. The goal of this project is to build a
multiple regression model based on the census data obtained from stores trading zones and
individual stores, to effectively predict sales potentials at new sites. Data The gathered data
contains demographics and economics of the trading zones, and size, composition and sales of
the store. There is a total of 13 major categories of variables including population (%black, %

answer the question Should a universally accessible health care system be implemented in the
United States (US)? This ongoing highly debatable issue remains a hot topic among US citizens
from all walks of life, from the very poor to the very wealthy. Health Care Reform affects
everyone. The vast majority of the US population is very dissatisfied with the current state of

Moreover, Americans have quite a diverse outlook on health insuranceand its applicability in
different situations. The Washington Post poll stated that 49 percent of people affirm the idea of
overall health insurance (if it is required). More importantly, the majority of respondents agreed on
certain major points that insurance must contain and they are: special aid to the poor (70 percent),
coverage of those, who have pre existing conditions such as disability or chronic diseases (68
percent), must be offered by the employers (62 percent), and underinsured mustn t pay into
government funds (52 percent) (Langer,2009).
Most Americans are provided with some form of insurance either through their employer or an
individual plan which is part of a public program such as Medicaid or Medicare. However, there
are still 45 million people who lack coverage (Melisa Paradis, Janelle Wood, Mary Cramer, 2009).
According to the governmental insurance plan, people who are underinsured must be protected and
have an opportunity to buy suitable medical coverage through the insurance exchange. Yet the
actual utilization of such an exchange is scheduled in the beginning of 2013, which indicates a
considerable period of waiting. America s Affordable Health Choices Act informs that people

Things They Carried Rhetorical Analysis Essay

Writing 39A: Academic Essay
27 February 2015
The Truth to the The Things They Carried When reading Tim O Brien s The Things They Carried,
there were many truths that were presented and while some were actual facts, others were fictional.
The author uses the art of storytelling instead of mere recital of facts, generic when telling a war
story, as a way to express unexplainable emotions. O Brien shows that the truth is unimportant in
communicating human emotions through stories because there are some emotions that can not be
explained through mere facts. In his collection of short shorties, O Brien writes in a style that is
very vivid and often times causes the audience to find themselves accepting the events and details
of these stories as the truth. O Brien contrasts the truth to fiction by reminding the audience that
within these short stories, the details are not the truth and are there to demonstrate the human
emotions that can not be communicated as absolute facts. It is in the Good Form that O brien
presents the actual truth stating in his first sentence, It s time to be blunt, and goes on to say that

The Things They Carried is written on. O Brien s point is not that the truth is unimportant, but
that in fictionalizing the truth, the reader can more wholly experience the human emotion not
necessarily based on fact. For example, at the end of Notes , O Brien writes, Norman Bowker was
in no way responsible for what happened to Kiowa. Norman did not experience a failure of nerve

Even though their relationship is not affecting the town directly the people in the post Civil war are not fond of Northerners. Homer was viewed simply as a disgrace to the town and a bad example to the young people (Faulkner 408). The global temporal setting in likes by Sarah Shun lien Bynum is modern day America and this adds to the father s dilemma he faces in the story. The father yearns to build a relationship with his daughter, Ivy, but it seems that any opportunity he has to connect with her is overpowered by Ivy s interest in technological devices. The father has time alone with Ivy 2 times a week as he drives her to physical therapy but instead of them talking Ivy is busy singing along with the radio or Sometimes, gazing at her phone, she would let out a low, triumphant hiss. • 4. Film Analysis Of Two Cars One Night The films Two cars one night and Boy directed by Taika Waititi are based in New Zealand. Two cars one night is a short film and the idea for the movie Boy was derived from it. Taika Waititi uses the film aspects of light and dark lighting and symbolism to portray the themes and his style of directing through his movie Boy and his short filmtwo cars one night. Waititi uses the lens of a child to portray what is happening throughout the movie plot to show the lasting moments in childhood. As a director Taika Waititi expresses his concerns of viewing through the lens of innocence or a child. The lighting in this point in the film almost camouflages the car as it is pitch black at nighttime. It enables the audience to only see the car s window and the faces inside the car. This gives the audience a feeling of mystery as they re trying to work out who is inside the car. Waititi uses this aspect as well in his other film, Two Cars One Night. He uses the lightning to control the audience s emotions around who in what cars. By weaving the dark lightning around. Set in 1984 The short film, Two cars one night utilizes the filming aspect of lightand dark lighting to the contrast between the two cars with children in a pub car park. The long shot exhibited in the scene gives the picture of the two cars in the car parking lot while the adults are inside the pub. It shows the aspect of safety and danger for the children as they wait for their parents to come out from inside of the bar and pub. It also signifies the familiar and unknown as the children explore with their eyes what is around them. Taika uses the aspect of light and dark light to symbolize danger and create tension within this scene because as an audience we associate nighttime with being unsafe for children, and he uses the dark light and children in this scene to create a sense of danger. An example of this is when the car the two Boys are in is captured sitting still while the surrounding everything is moving, such as the people and the dark night sky. It portrays the darkness ... When Hitler ordered his soldiers to march into Rhineland, breaching the terms of TOV, France was prepared to force Hitler back down if Britain agreed to support her. However, Britain wanted to avoid going to war by all means so Britain appease Hitler by not doing anything to force him to back down. France believed that there were 295,000 men stationed in Rhineland which in reality was a bluff and was not confident of fighting Germany alone so she backed away. Thus, Hitler was able to invade Rhineland. The appeasement made it an easy way for Hitler to acquire more land even though he did not have enough soldiers because even countries like France and British believed that Germany s military was that strong and were willing to give in easily to Hitler s demand. Also, appeasement resulted Hitler to become even bolder in his expansionist policies by demanding more lands as he knew that Britain and France was the most unwilling to fight a war and would not put a stop to his actions even if it means breaking the international law. • 7. An Account of the Rosewood Incident After the reconstruction period there was high tension between the whites and blacks in the south. Whites wanted nothing to do with black people and didn t want to have to share anything with them. Whites did everything they could to intimidate blacks to keep them in their place . Black people wanted nothing but to live their lives with their new found freedom, but they saw that no matter what the law said they would never be accepted by the white community. White peopleoften acted out in violence towards blacks whatever chance they got to drive them out. Anything a black person did could result in violence. An example of the violence and hatred shown towards blacks is the events of an incident in Rosewood, Florida in 1923. This incident was documented and the accounts of blacks who were children at the time were taken down. • 8. The Importance Of Body Art First of all, body art can promote the self awareness of people, which means one focuses attention on himself and understands personal features, feelings and behaviors. Body art has a strong impact on human vision and soul, because it can always catch the human nature and embodies the publicity of human nature (Greif, J., Hewitt, 1999). In fact, the body is the most primitive and natural expression of human beings, and the art of body is an external form of expression, taking the human nature as its main feature. Since the body art reflects the nature of human body, it enables us to see the truest and the most essential things in human society. As Hagel said, the body of human is the inner life of the spirit . The word spirit is a realm yearns for truth, wisdom, cognition, beauty and love, which never changes or fades. Therefore, on the one hand, body art raises individual conscious. This in turn 3 makes people think about themselves more deeply; understand both themselves and the development of human nature more clearly. Undoubtedly, human society is able to make a progress by deepening the understanding of human beings. On the other hand, body art awakens our appreciation of beauty and the greatness of our creator. Other than showing the external beauty of the human body, body art, indeed serves as an artistic appreciation. Impact of Remittance Due to Immigration in Nepal Impact of Remittance due to Immigration in Nepal Background Movement of people to other countries in search of employment is by no means a new phenomenon. Labor mobility has been an important and essential feature of the economic and social development of societies throughout human history. This made it almost impossible to connect the dots when investigating suspicious groups or people (Chertoff, 2014). After the attacks on September 11, 2001, there were several changes that had to be made. Although the 9/11 attacks were a case of international terrorism, the new policies that were implemented would cover all forms of terrorism. On November 25, 2002, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was established. In the book Understanding Homeland Security, the author states, although homeland security can certainly be significantly affected by threats originating from international sources (such as al Qaeda), the concept of defending the homeland inside its borders is at the heart of homeland security (Martin, 2017). Since operations of DHS began, it has continuously grown in size. Today, DHS has more than 200,000 employees and is the third largest federal agency. When learning about any disease or malfunction in human pathology, a common first question is what is the cause of this condition? In the case of Multiple Sclerosis, this is a tough question to answer. Simply put, the cause of multiple sclerosis is unknown. It #39;s considered an autoimmune disease in which the body #39;s immune system attacks its own tissues (Brassington et al, 1998). Researchers work every day to continue to get closer to finding the cause of Multiple Sclerosis, so that we can then find a way to treat it and help those who suffer from it. From the research outcomes we have seen so far, it seems that MS has genetic, environmental, and immunologic variables (Brassington et al, 1998). There have also been many interesting proposals in what the underlying cause of MS was. These possible explanations include a slow acting virus, a delayed reaction to a common virus, or an autoimmune reaction to something which causes the body to attack its own tissues (Brassington et al, 1998). None of those possibilities have been confirmed undeniably yet, so in the research community, the race to find a cause, and then a cure, is still very much ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Sarefine is a Practice PotPvP server (adding HCF soon) with an average amount of players around 200 and on days that they had updates ranged around 300 400. Anyways I worked on sarefine for about two months or so and was promoted to Moderator rank. Sarefine was a huge learning experience as I was taught how to screenshare and find vape etc. Not only that but I really taught myself how to be extremely patient with players and how to deal with aggravated, and toxic players without causing a network wide riot.. So you re probably wondering why I dont work there anymore well I resigned, I resigned because a lot of changes were made to the staff team that I was not comfortable with. As a student, it is a bit bizarre to say that switching to uniforms may not be an awful idea after all, however this may just be the truth. Although, I have never experienced first hand bullying, I have heard others talk about some of the mean things people say to them about the way they look and dress. This hurts my heart to think that people could be so hurtful to others, and I believe school uniformsare a way to prevent this and in the end, better the school. There are plenty of facts that confirm that the requirement of school uniforms is actually a good thing. To begin with, it is very important that we acknowledge that education exists not only as an academic, but also as a social and socializing experience for children (Massoia). School uniforms can be very beneficial in this area considering they provide a sense of unity between the students, resulting in a more friendly learning environment (Massoia). Profeta, the author mentions a time when people died in places with happy memories that were forgotten once technology began to develop. Because dying in a familiar environment was the old way of letting a beloved person pass, Profeta uses circular structure to explore how every family wants to preserve their loved one s life even if the person wants to die. Some families were able to let their special ones pass with the last days [s]pent with familiar sounds, in a familiar room, with familiar smells, that gave her a final chance to summon memories that will help carry her away (Profeta). There have been two major types of game series: the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) and the College Football Playoffs (CFP). The BCS was introduced to have the best teams in the nation voted to secure spots in bowl games, determining who is the best team of that year. The CFP let all games in the regular season help a team reach the playoffs and play in the championship game to be declared the NCAA champions. Although many people claim that the CFP s are the best option for the NCAA, many people argue that the BCS is the better choice to conclude the footballseason, which leads to think if the change to the CFP was the right choice. The Sea s Ability Of An Intertidal Rock Platform Introduction The sea s ability to produce an intertidal rock platform was first commented on as early as 1846 by Ramsey, and then decisively classified into four themes by Trenhaile (1980), which is still relevant to scientist studying the formations today. The four themes are: 1) the role of marine and subaerial processes in platform development; 2) morphology of shore platforms; 3) modelling platform development; and 4) measuring rates of erosion (Stevenson 1, 2000). Research has commonly assumed that the origins of the shore platform are wave cut, however in recent years there has been research into a wider range of platforms and process leading to more theories. Defining and Distinguishing between Shore Platforms In order attempt to distinguish between different types of shore platforms, the most basic form of description is those, which slope seaward, and then those with a distinctive seaward edge characterised by a cliff (Stephenson et al., 2013). Sunamura has helped characterize those cliffs with the use of calling the slope edge a Type A Platform and a Cliff edge and a Type B Platform, this is represented in Figure 1. Fig. 1. So is the sentence that begins Diary of a Teenage Girl, Marielle Heller s film adaptation of Phoebe Gloekner s eponymous graphic novel. It illustrates various aspects of worship and the role of worship in the Apocalypse. The language of the book and different approaches to the theme are appreciated, because those are simple and clear to understand the theme. Summary of the book The context of the book is well organized. Archer divides her text into five chapters, and every chapter has an introduction and a summery, which is really helpful to read and get the message at the first glance. Analysis Of The Book The Scarlet Letter As I began my summer reading assignment I wasn t too amused at the beginning chapters of the Scarlet Letter, With Hawthorne throwing around words like quietude I wasn t sure if it was truly the difference in his old English speech, or if he was tossing in obscure words just to send people looking through their dictionaries to find out if he had, in fact, made the word up, or not. But, as I delved deeper into Hawthorn s work I found a brilliant story with some of the richest characters I had ever had the pleasure of reading about. Of the four major characters in the book, I empathized with Arthur Dimmesdale the most. Dimmesdale is man of God imprisoned by his own beliefs, and because of this he lives his life wallowing in guilt, despair, and pain. Dimmesdale wants to be a father to Pearl, but to do so it would jeopardize his social standing in the Puritan culture and his career. In his confliction, Dimmesdale feels that he should punish himself; he takes away what little humanity he has left just so he can feel he has appeased God. I can t help but feel sorry for a man who lives in such a heartbreaking pool of despair and self loathing. Where Dimmesdale s character really shines, though, is in the Election Day sermon scene and the scenes leading up to the Election Day sermon. After leaving the forest Dimmesdale is filled with new life and motivation. He now has purpose, something to live for. Later, in the third scaffold scene, Dimmesdale ... This means that having uneducated, oblivious people, contributes to the power of the party. The citizens of Oceania must believe everything the government tells them in order to be controlled. People who refuse to believe these lies, or try to let people know the truth, are considered enemies of the party. This is considered thoughtcrime, and anyone who is found guilty is subject to vaporization , and will never be seen again. The character construction of Winston Smith is based around his thoughts of truth and conspiracy. He tries to practice doublethink, but is often unsuccessful. If you want to keep a secret, you must also hide it from yourself. (Orwell 283). This is a thought of Winston Smith near the end of the book. This describes the thought process of doublethink, and how one must hide their true thoughts from themself. When Winston is done being tortured, he begins to hide the truth from himself. Life, if you looked about you, bore no resemblance not only to the lies that streamed out of the telescreens, but even to the ideals that the Party was trying to achieve. (Orwell 74). To sustain its recent continuous expansion into the Border States and Southwest, identification of the sites for new stores has become an essential factor of its increasing strategic planning. The current store decisions are based on the traditional process of estimating sales potential with demographic analyses, site visits and studies by the company s real estate department. A subjective approach was developed to classify the potential sites to the competitive type of the trading zone. The author uses the art of storytelling instead of mere recital of facts, generic when telling a war story, as a way to express unexplainable emotions. O Brien shows that the truth is unimportant in communicating human emotions through stories because there are some emotions that can not be explained through mere facts. In his collection of short shorties, O Brien writes in a style that is very vivid and often times causes the audience to find themselves accepting the events and details of these stories as the truth. O Brien contrasts the truth to fiction by reminding the audience that within these short stories, the details are not the truth and are there to demonstrate the human emotions that can not be communicated as absolute facts.
