2. Essay on Air Pollutants
A fleet of vehicles will have far reaching impacts; perhaps best known by the general public is the
impact on air quality.
Air pollutants may be released in a number of ways: first through evaporation during fueling, second
through tailpipe emissions while a car is running, and third through chemical reactions occurring
with byproducts or unused components emitted into the atmosphere.(Motor vehicles and toxic air
pollutants. 2008) Typical chemicals released include benzene, toluene, xylenes, diesel particulate
matter, and volatile organic compounds.(Motor vehicles and toxic air pollutants. 2008) In addition,
formaldehyde and acetaldehyde may be produced in reactions with the air. (Motor vehicles and
toxic air pollutants. 2008)

According to a 2005 study, air pollution may be estimated to be responsible for 3% of adult
cardiopulmonary disease mortality; 5% of trachea and bronchus mortality; and in children 1% of
mortality from acute respiratory infections in urban areas throughout the world.(Cohen et al., 2005)
Air pollutants from a fleet of vehicles may also cause environmental impacts such as the creation
of ground level ozone, a key component of smog, and the emission of greenhouse gases suspected
of causing drastic changes in the earth s climate. (Transportation and air quality planning: Federal
laws provide tools for change. 2008)
To combat these threats, federal and state level policies have been put in place to help monitor and
reduce air pollution. Perhaps the most far reaching of these was the 1990 Clean Air Act which
required the reformulating of gasoline and set emission standards from hydrocarbons and diesel
particulate matter. Subsequent amendments to this act required the removal of lead from gasoline
and limitations to the amount of sulfur in diesel fuel. (Air toxics from motor vehicles. August
1994) Government regulations on vehicles added requirements for emission reduction equipment
such as catalytic converters.(Motor vehicles and toxic air pollutants.2008) Specific federal

3. Essay on Looking Forward to Starting High School
An anonymous author once said, What you need to know about the past is that no matter what
has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment. And this is the
moment you can choose to make everything new. Right now. Over the course of my school
years, it has been an exciting and shocking experience. These experiences have been an
enjoyable journey from my elementary to middle school years. However, after several years the
end of my middle school adventure is coming to a close. Soon my new journey will start as a
freshman. Eight grade will surely be one of my most memorable years. It has been an absolute
wonderful one hundred eighty days, and I will miss some of the aspects of eight grade but certainly

These activities have created many memorable memories for me to hold onto for the years to
come. I have also made many friends that hopefully I will never forget. The main highlight of
the eighth grade year was probably the Challenge. It was an absolutely fun event that I really
think made each day slightly competitive and exciting. I really felt that mostly everyone,
including the teachers, was excited to be in teams competing to win the limousine ride. Even
though only one team could win the ride, the trip to Stony Run Park was also fun for everyone
also. The events planned such as the tug a war was exhilarating. It was a great time to just enjoy
yourself without worrying about school. I will never forget the eighth grade challenge. Another
highlight of the year was the awards ceremony that just took place several days ago. I believe it
was a pretty fun moment to be recognized for the many achievements done by students
throughout their years at Grimmer Middle School. I think it will be fun to look back at trophies,
papers, or plaques when I grow up to see what I accomplished during my middle school years.
Throughout eighth grade the overall experience was a fun one. The homework and test were not
that bad, and the people I have meet are truly the best. However, some of eighth grade was not at

4. Meaning Of Blessed Be Meaning
I have seen the expression Blessed Be quite often as a way of greeting and/or a farewell,
indicating that the person saying/writing it wishes good fortune upon the person receiving it. I
have seen this so many times that I thought that was exactly what it meant and even more, it was
the correct way of greeting or saying goodbye to other people But through out my research I have
learnt and understood that Blessed Be has a deeper meaning and it is one that we should be mindful
when using it.
The true purpose of Blessed Be is a sacred one. It has been used in countless religions to grant the
blessings of the deity onto a person, but not in a general or light hearted way. When we use the
term Blessed Be it is meant to be in a very sacred way, we are asking the ... Show more content on

ERP as Software as a Service *(*SaaS*)* for SMEs Table of Contents Page Abstract The main
barriers for implementing ERP systems in SMEs were constraints in terms of resources and

formalisation of procedures or processes, unclear and also confused understanding amongst the

6. Theist Argument
One of the first ways a theist might respond to this argument is by denying premise 1 because one
might claim that Rowe has given no sufficient reason to believe that it is true. All that has been
solved the theist believes is that there is evil in the world and that we don t know why or what the
good is that can justify Godin permitting such evil(Rowe, 2004, p.7). This line of argument is also
known as the argument from ignorance. Could we, the theist argues, even comprehend the goods
which permit much of this horrendous suffering given the infinite transcendence of Gods mind?

For example, there is the problem of geography where suffering from natural disasters could have
been more evenly distributed around the world by God, at present it is only happening in certain
regions, most predominantly the third world countries (Tattersall, 2015, p.4). There is also the
problem of quantity, the quantity of natural evil in our world is far too much to be explained by the
advantageous effects of showing human virtues such as courage, compassion and love (Tattersall,
2015, p.4). Thus, it can be suggested that the evidential problem of evil does in fact show that evil
is evidence against the belief in God, although it does not disprove his existence as this is not
what I have set out to do here, it does significantly lower the probability that there is a God. We can
therefore agree with Russel that: Because the hypotheses which are offered to save theism are
unlikely on what we know, theism is defenseless against the evidential arguments from evil

7. Effects Of Greenhouse Emissions On The Planet s Climate
I.Introductory Paragraph A. An overwhelming amount of evidence points to the fact that mankind s
actions, specifically the emission of greenhouse gasses are having drastic effects on the planet s
climate. B. In America, Industry, in general is responsible for twenty percent of all greenhouse
emissions C. However, many people believe that this number can be greatly reduced by
implementing cap and trade on carbon emissions. D. Some people believe that cap and trade is the
most environmentally and economically sensible approach to controlling greenhouse gas
emissions. The cap sets a limit on greenhouse emissions that a company can release. This cap is
lowered over time to reduce emissions. Then the trade allows companies to trade their emissions.
So for example if company A has very low emissions compared to company B who has high
emissions. Company A can trade Company B the emissions that they have not used up. This
essentially would create a market for emissions while at the same time lowering emissions. This
system would allow industry leaders to plan for a future that is sustainable without hurting their
profit margin too much and the amount of emissions released could not be monitored.
 E.
Implementing cap and trade would reap many environmental benefits however there is an
opposition that would like to resist cap and trade, as they believe it would hinder business.

The Bitter Side of Sweet is a novel about the use of child labour and child trafficking in West
Africa which supplies most of the world s cacao, a key ingredient in many types of

Tropical Medicine determined that in 2013/14, approximately 2.26 million children were working

For a couple years what has mattered are the number of cacao pods they and many others can
chop down in a day. This number is the one of the most important things. The higher the number
the safer would be. The higher the number the closer they are to paying off their debt and going
home. The problem is most of them don t know how much they owe and they won t get told. Most
of them just wanted to make money during the dry season to help out with the family living.
Instead they were forced into child labor with many others on a plantation in the Ivory Coast in
west africa. They spend day after day living with little food and little water or shelter, harvesting
beans in the hot sun with dangerous, backbreaking work. With no hope of escape, all they can
do is try their best to stay alive and pay off their dues. As the book states Khadija is the first girl
who s ever come to camp, and she s a wild thing. She fights bravely every day, attempting escape
again and again, reminding Amadou what it means to be free. But finally, the bosses break her
(sullivan). They always try to protect each other. The old impulse to run is suddenly awakened
when others try to escape. They band together as family and try to escape back home. Most of
them become family with all the work they do together. In 2013/14 the child labor laws in africa
barely existed it seemed like. There was children working everywhere with earning little to no
money. Agriculture is a major employer of child labor in Africa. Fertilizer, pesticide application and
harvesting routinely involve children with their families.Fishing is another major employer of child
labor in Africa. Child labor in Africa is the employment of children in a manner that deprives them
of their childhood, and is harmful to their physical and mental development. Africa has the world s
highest incidence rates of child labor. In 2014 nearly 1 out of every 5 children partakes in child

the gaming community as sexist and underrepresenting women (Kleeman) while the other
condemns modern feminism for treating women as victims and vilifying men (Frohlich). The
first uses many logical arguments that are used to bring emotion to the reader, and make them

10. The Marriage Of Same Sex Marriage
Redefining Marriage
Same sex marriage has been an ongoing debate for many years. Gay people and gay supporters
believe that they should be treated equally to marry whoever they want because it is how they feel
and people should be understanding of that. By being human they argue that it is their right to have
equality. On the other hand, Christians believe that they should not have the right to marry the
same sex because it is an attack on the church and degrades the traditional concept of marriage. Due
to Christians not believing in same sex marriage, they worry that now it is legal that they will be
forced to accept it and preachers and pastors will be forced to marry gay couples. There are many
standing viewpoints on the matter and these two points of view say the most. Does same sex
marriage effect religion or not?
Traditionalist who are against gay marriage believe that the dignity of marriage is being
compromised. James Heiser says that it is against religious teachings and that it weakens the
traditional concept of marriage. They argue that the awe, wonder, and dignity of marriage needs to
be recaptured and that this is an assault on the family. Traditionalists point out that while the Obama
administration s decision to stop defending marriage as existing between one man and one woman
indicates a break with its former policy on the issue, a closer analysis shows that President Obama
has a long history of gay/lesbian activism, unconstitutionally usurping

There is a fine line between treason and revolution, however when the two come up it very likely

history. The struggle with Britain was becoming harder and those within the colonies were unsure
what direction they wanted to take the colonies. Thomas Paine however knew exactly what
direction he felt the colonies should go and that was to break away from Britain and become an

He saw chaos and confusion and of course wanted to understand why those that were already
pushing back against Britain were not doing more. Paine was already acquainted with many
influential leaders of that day who would help establish the beginnings of our constitution. Men like
Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and Charles Peale. However, Paine wanted more than just
break away. Paine stated. Society was a positive phenomenon, government a negative one: Society
is produced by our wants and government by our wickedness . Paine was aware that the British
government was attempting to crush the spirit of the colonies, nevertheless you realized that the
colonies needed to form a government of its own to stand on their own in order to break away.
Thomas Paine was successful in what he penned down in Common Sense. In one of his statements
from his pamphlet, the Revolutionary War is spelled out in black in white and from what we know

Britain ought to have ceased; and the independence of America should have been considered as

the American colonist to understand that they need to fight for their independents against Britain.

12. The Pros And Cons Of The Progressive Era
Working only to die or lose a limb, being a woman with no voice, and dealing with unsanitary
meat and food has never been the ideal lifestyle. The Progressive Era was a period of widespread
social activism and political reform across the United States from 1890 to the 1920 s. The main
objectives of the progressive movement were eliminating problems caused by industrialization,
urbanization, immigration and corruption in government (Progressive Era). Yet people in the
Progressive Era fought to change abuses with things like working conditions by going on strike or
forming groups like labor unions, the 19th amendment to help women in America have the right to
vote, and things like the pure food and drug actand the meat inspection act to protect the consumers.
People went on strike meaning they stopped going to work to change the work conditions. They
felt if there was no workers there was no factories, they wanted better conditions and going on strike
was the start to this. Women also went on strike they protested until the Nineteenth Amendment
was passed. Lastly 2 food acts were passed to protect the consumers from the meat that was
causing illness and death. Despite previous arguments the progressive era was no joke nothing
about it was okay until the people were able to get reform laws changed.

Roosevelt had championed the conservation movement to save human lives (progressive era

13. The Little Chinese Seamstress Analysis
The Little Chinese Seamstress is a story told through the eyes of a young narrator living in
Communist China. Throughout this story the character constantly evolves in his mannerisms and
his train of thought. His relationship with his best friend, Lou, constantly changes as well as Lou
begins to hang out with the rural seamstress. One particular passage, beginning at 123 and ending
through the end of 125. In this passage, the narrator has a dream about the Little Seamstress
tumbling over a cliff side. The dream has deeper meaning and speaks volumes on the narrator s
jealousy, as well as fear, of Lou and the Little Seamstresses relationship.
As the passage begins, the narrator has a dream incorporating the Seamstress, himself and Lou. In
this first section of the passage, the narrator is frightened by the Seamstress as her relationship
with Lou progresses, and that the narrator finds the Seamstress to be soothing. The first way this
passage portrays this is by the use of shifting diction. As the dream begins, the narrator s perception
of the girl shifts several times before cementing on the Little Seamstress. This diction implies the
narrator s true feelings for the Seamstress. It does this by the narrator recognizing the girls before it
focusing on the Seamstress. Another way the narrator s fears and feelings for the Seamstress is
seen through the details about the pig. At the beginning of the passage when the narrator wakes up
from the dream he was soothed

14. James Truslow Adams And The American Dream
As it is stated in the constitution, all men are created equal , however many people feel as if
they are not treated equal to their fellow citizens. America is viewed as a land where all things
are possible and people can achieve all their hopes and dreams. Although this is a simple concept,
how one must work to achieve these goals is much more complicated. Everyone is born into a
different situation and the opportunities they are exposed to differ depending on the person. The
original idea of the American Dreamsupported the idea that all American citizens are able to obtain
a better life than they are currently living; however, that idea is continuously changing and many
interpret their own dream in different ways.

Many veterans were able to get a home with a low mortgage due to the GI Bill, a benefit program
to help cover costs of veterans, and the American Dream became closely tied to home ownership.
The ideal dream continued to change and many Americans purchased products and good that they
believed would improve their life.
After the dream moved on from home ownership, it turned into a need for the latest products.
Middle class Americans, however, did not have enough money to purchase the new trend. In
1950, the first credit card was introduced and as time went on it became more popular than ever.
Americans were thrilled with the idea of owning everything they could imagine without having
the money to do so; however, many people racked up a large amount of debt. In addition to the
debt, America faced a mortgage crisis in the early 2000 s. The American Dream came crashing
down for many and their once happy lives were now full of stress, yet they believed there was hope
for a better life.
Despite having the idea of a better life many Americans today feel as if they cannot achieve the
American Dream. When the American Dream was first introduced, the cost of living was much
lower than what it is today and opportunities for success are not the same as they were before.

Government Over Regulation The United States has slowly conformed to the new ways of the
Western policy of democratic socialism in order to achieve equality in the eyes of the law, but
with this the necessary regulatory compliance of all citizens must be provided. If all American
citizens do agree to abide by the rules implemented by the United States, the freedom that they
came here for would be nonexistent, and they would no longer have the ability to truly live the
infamous American dream . The economy is also beginning to move away from the capitalist ways

Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves (Tanner
1). Joseph Stiglitz, a Nobel Prize winner, Chief Economist at Roosevelt Institute, best selling
author, and a professor at Columbia University explains the problems with the current economy in
the United States in his book Rewriting the Rules of the American Economy. He explains that
even though the one percent of the United States population is living a prosperous life, the
remaining ninety nine percent are being hurt by this reality (Stiglitz 8). From this it can be
concluded that the regulations currently being pressed upon the majority of the population are
hurting more than benefitting. Capitalism is defined as an economic and political system in
which a country s trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by
the state (Oxford Dictionary 1). There has been a longing to find a balance between this and
socialism. The laissez faire is the commonly known economic idea of a government refraining
from interfering in the free market in order to allow the people to control their own means of
production and selling of goods. This seems to be ruined by the over regulation of the economy by
the government because much of the US economic benefits rely on the free market. Also,
capitalism allows for people to voluntarily take part in making their own wealth. Without this,
competition among businesses would be gone and

17. Cinema In The Philippine Cinema
The Philippine cinema is a roller coaster ride of different emotions and genres that serves the
Filipino people entertainment and enjoyment. Over the past century or so, we ve been filled up
with a lot different stories of characters that are relatable to the people. From the adventures of
Fernando Poe Jr. s Ang Panday to the comedic acts of Babalu and Dolphy, we can say that the
Philippine filmindustry is very reputable and prestigious just like those of in the other countries. In
today s generation, personally, I think people are getting sick of movies that depict mistresses and
anything about them. I also think that one of the genres that are on the rise is the Independent
films. Erik Matti s Indie film, Honor Thy Father, brings a very different tone and story to the plate.
The movie starts off with Edgar (John Lloyd Cruz) picking up his daughter from school. The scene
shifts to their house where Kaye (Meryll Soriano), Edgar s wife, is persuading a group of
friends to invest in her father s business where everyone gets significantly rich. Edgar sits from
behind, listening to how people believe in his wife s words. The next scene shows the essential
part of the story because the movie uses religion as a device to show the irony of being projected
as pure and wholesome can hide the evilness and cruelty of a person. Edgar s family is part of this
religious organization called the Church of Yeshua but Edgar is seen staring at the money being

Artists, editors and photographers plead the fact that they were provided with such great tools,

Photoshop. Even though Victoria s Secret models are retouched to have the ideal beach bod ,
they are also and inspiration for most people. According to Holmstrom in 2004, results of
studies done by both Crouch and Degelman (1998) and Biocca (1992) have shown that media

exposure to these models beautiful bodies supposedly raises a positive body image amongst
young women. Self esteem is raised because they aim to achieve the bodies portrayed to them in
the media. Victoria s Secret is obviously reaping benefits from this as well. Being one of the

Although Billy was openly gay in the 1940 s he was still known as one of the best at what he

prolific composer of the twentieth century in terms of both number of compositions and variety of
forms. His development was one of the most spectacular in the history of music, underscored by
more than fifty years of sustained achievement as an artist and an entertainer. He is considered by
many to be America s greatest composer, bandleader, and recording artist. The extent of Ellington s
innovations helped to redefine the various forms in which he worked. He created many of the
elements of American music the minstrel song, ragtime, Tin Pan Alley tunes, the blues, and
American appropriations of the European music tradition into a consistent style with which, though
technically complex, has directness and simplicity of expression largely absent from the purported
art music of the twentieth century. Ellington s first great achievements came in the three minute
song form, and he later wrote music for all kinds of settings: the ballroom,

Shakespeare puts contradictions in all his plays to make ether intensity of the play arise. Usually
contradiction is found with in a topic, in a conversation, and in pairs however in this play

through their love, as each character sees them differently just like Iago and Rodrigo. Because they
don t like Othello they focus a lot on his skin colour while the rest of the characters especially the
duke sees Othello as a great, brave military leader. The people like Iago, Rodrigo, Emilia and
Barbanzio all look at Desdemona as a pure white dove and when they see Othello they think of
him as animal like a Barbary Horse (1:1:112). The other contradiction shown in their relationship
is that Desdemona went against the rule that they had back then and choose Othello even
though he is black instead of choosing a white man. This is a big contradiction that is shown
because back then that wasn t normal for people to do that and Desdemona being the sweet
innocent girl that people presume her to be shows contradiction in a big way because it shows
that Desdemona is not so sweet after all and breaks the rules. Othello has become a puppet of
Iago and believes everything that Iago tells him. In this case Iago mentioned that Desdemona

32. Corruption In The Roman Catholic Church
In Martin Luther s Freedom of a Christian, he talks about many different concepts, one prominent
one being corruption, specifically of the Roman Catholic Church. The most common definition of
corruption means dishonest actions by those in charge, in Luther s case, the Catholic church. A
modern example of corruption would be of the United States in 1972 when President Richard
Nixon conducted the Watergate scandal. However, Luther defines corruption as deviating from the
word of God and not following His teachings. He does not blame those in charge but the church as
a whole. This brings the questions of what constitutes corruption in Luther s term, how corruption
comes about, and how can religion help to stop it? Corruption plagues every aspect of life, yet it s
complexity in nature (Onongha) makes it difficult to identify causes of it. According to Onongha
forms of corruption come to be in many different ways depending on culture. For example, one
Christian can become corrupt by buying indulgences, while another can become corrupt by not
living through God and developing selfish habits. This relates to Luther s definition because it
shows how there is more than one definition of corruption within the Church and things can be
corrupt in more ways than one. In Luther s culture and time period the corruption people were
most concerned of could have been what Luther defined it as, deviation from the one true ruler,
God. In addition, corruption is found in more than places of

Summary Medical care in the United States is complex at the individual provider level, at the
system level, and at the national level. While managed care works to streamline medical services,
and integrate systems, integration within safety net hospital systems providers that deliver a
significant level of care to vulnerable patients (Ko Et Al, 2015) and community health centers is
still undergoing transition. Although policymakers have worked to promote integration in large
hospital systems, and have been widely successful, integration among safety net providers and
health care centers for the uninsured, Medicaid and underinsured populations remains largely
fragmented. The study conducted by Michelle Ko, Julie Murphy and Andrew Bindman, in late
2015, aimed to address the challenges of integration between the two systems and propose ways to
implement integration within safety net hospitals and community health centers. In order to do so
Ko Et Al designed a qualitative study in which recognized leadership executives of five sites were
interviewed on their experiences with service integration. The interviews were projected to last up
to an hour and consisted of open ended question that allowed for participants to highlight what they
felt were the challenges to successfully implemented integrated systems within their organizations
and what strategies they implemented to effectively navigate the challenges. This study method
allowed for the researchers to identify conflicts

37. Abnormal Psychology Vs Psychopathology Essay
1) Compare and contrast the concepts of abnormal psychology and psychopathology and the
implicit assumptions of both terms. Considering abnormal psychology is an alternative definition
of psychopathology, it is assumed they are different in the eyes of society. Psychopathology is a
term focused on the psyche (mind, soul) and a disorder (dysfunction, diseased, unhealthy and
illness). It is also based from deviations from statistical and social norms along with maladaptive
behavior, distress and impairment. Although abnormal psychologyand psychopathology are defined
the same, abnormal psychologyis often viewed from a perspective that individuals who are
suffering from mental health issues as likely to be considered abnormal either in the statistical or
the functional sense. By being identified as abnormal , it portrays that a person struggling with
psychopathology are not normal , which cultivates stigmatization (illness/dangerousness) among
society. Acknowledging that many people could be considered abnormal in a statistical sense, it
does not make that person pathological. A few great examples of an abnormal deviation would be
a group of women having a 13 shoe size, or a group of men measuring at 4 ft. Even though these
individuals fell outside the statistical norm range, they are considered abnormal; which does not
identify them to be pathological, just different.
Another good example would be a group of individuals scoring high in an IQ assessment. Although

So eventually all the companies in business process consulting will have to change their operations
to this model to remain competitive. So, Infosys consulting is certainly in the process of changing
the rules of the game in consulting industry.
Advantages and disadvantages of the model and base in India
Advantages:
Infosys, having based in India, has effectively capitalized on institutional voids in factor market
(HBR article 9 703 431) in this model by:
Exploiting its understanding of variable talent pool in India and using them effectively for
providing world class software solutions
Exploiting its experience in onsite offshore model software development process
Effectively applying the matrix quality measurement structure to this model to measure the
performance of every deliverable and hence increasing the quality of product with each project
Clearly Infosys is able to exploit its position of base in India. Apart from the capitalizing on
institutional voids in factor market of India, Infosys has gained additional advantages of the
geographical locations of its base. 1 1 3 model can effectively work day and night due to time

40. The Fundamental Principle of Morality According to Kant
According to Kant, the fundamental principle of morality must be a categorical, rather than a
hypothetical imperative, because an imperative based on reason alone is one that is a necessary
truth, is a priori, and is one that applies to us because we are rational beings capable of fulfilling
our moral obligations. Kant explains this essential truth is how an action as objectively necessary
in itself apart from its relation to a further end . This refers to how if the supreme principle of
moralitywas only a possible truth, then its force as a principle would be dependent on what may
happen in other propositions. So being, the SPM would not be guiding the choice and action of a

This suggests that we can t interpret the conditional at face value, instead, we ought to recognize
how they highlight a means end relationship. Also, one could interpret the should of the
hypothetical imperative as the antecedent of the hypothetical imperative as itself inherently
normative; something like: if you rightly want to torture children, you should volunteer as a
babysitter. Either way, hypothetical imperatives don t necessarily have normative force even when
the agent possesses the desire in question. How they are best understood as depending, not merely
on your having specific desires, but rather on those desires having normative authority. Reexamined
then, hypothetical imperatives might follow as: if you desire X then you should Y really means
something like, supposing that X is a worthy goal, you should Y. This still is a conditional rule,
however. This is why Kant would insist that these imperatives cannot be moral imperatives because
they do not apply with unconditional necessity to all rational

The pH of all ethosomal gels was found between 6.0 and 7.0 (Table 3) that lie in the normal pH
range of skin, 4.0 6.8 and hence the preparations will be irritation free [24]. The pH of all the
ethosomal gels was more or less equal to the skin pH, making the formulations suitable for
application on skin aiding in systemic action. % Drug content of all the formulations was
determined and was found to have a range of 98 100% when UV Spectrophotometer is used. This
shows that drug was dispersed homogenously throughout the gels. The drug content for F13
formulation was found to be higher because of the optimum ethanolconcentration. The Viscosity is
optimum for 1.5% carbopol concentration since it has good flow and consistency unlike the 1%
and the 2%, these both have either less or more viscosity compared to the optimum 1.5%
carbopol. Viscosity of the optimized gel was found to have a range of 754 1350cp. Among which
1.5% concentration of carbopol gave good results of 1290В±7cp. Determination of viscosity of gel
matrix, is important as it assists in evaluating the penetration across the skin by controlling the

Due to Rome s great impact on the world, Rome is often thought of as a much bigger place than
simply just the capital of Italy. Let s Go Publication stated Rome. The city that ruled an empire. A
center for the Renaissance, the papacy, and the birthplace of Western civilization. (Let s Go
Publications, 484). This quote demonstrates just how impactful the city of Romewas on the world
and why Rome is thought of something much bigger than just a capital of a country. Rome was
very prevalent in biblical times because of how powerful the Roman Empirewas during the time
that the bible was written. In 27 BC, the Roman Empire arose as a republic in Rome and was in
power for approximately 1,500 years. Despite the immense impact of Rome, Italyas... Show more

Kim Abbott informed Whether it s cheese and wine or pizza and pasta, the food of Italy has so
much influence on the culinary world (Abbott,1). The preceding quote explains how Italian
food affected the world of art and culinary. During the Renaissance period, paintings of jesus and
major biblical figures were profoundly prevalent. However, after the Italian Renaissance, it
became excessively popular to paint fruit, food, and common household objects. Some of the
most historically famous artist come from Italy; A few to name are: Michelangelo, Leonardo Da
Vinci, and Masaccio. Italy is also known for its miraculous architecture, for instance: the
Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Florence Cathedral, and the Milan Cathedral. Author
Amanda Claridge reported that most major Roman buildings use solid stone blocks if at all
possible and finely dressed masonry is immediate indicator to a building of wealth and high status
(Claridge,39). Claridge s quote showed that architecture of buildings and homes are highly
important to the Italian people. Amanda Claridge also wrote that In contrast to the preponderance
of white on the outside Roman interiors were frequently a riot of color. Walls, ceilings, and floors
were rarely if ever left bare (Claridge, 51). The previous quote puts emphasis on the priority of
decoration and architecture in the Italian

43. William Shakespeare s Sonnet 17 And Sonnet 55
Two constant themes throughout this collection of sonnets is one s eternal fate and preservation
once that fate is reached.. Shakespeare battles with the idea of how to preserve not only the beauty
of his subject, which in this case is the young man, but also his work without losing value and merit.
Sonnet17 and Sonnet 55 share the common idea that preservation is necessary and important, but
each take different approaches to this preservation. From Sonnet 17 to Sonnet 55, Shakespeare
grows confident in his craft and begins to develop a different ideology when it comes to
preservation. In this paper, I will compare and contrast Sonnet 17 and Sonnet 55 and thoroughly
examine Shakespeare s changing preservation ideology.

In some cases, he even starts to believe that the beauty of the subject is ineffable and incapable
of being described to eyes who have not seen the beauty first hand. His thoughts can be seen in
phrases like, If I could write the beauty of your eyes (line 5). The speaker in Sonnet 17 doesn t
only focus on the importance of the child for the subject, but also the stake they, the speaker,
hold in the child. As stated the poet is fearful. He is worried about preserving his craft and his
personal legacy. At this moment he doesn t understand his true worth as a writer and the power his
words hold. He doesn t understand that they legacy of his subject can live in his words. But he
learns and an alternative preservation ideology is seen in in Sonnet 55.
In Sonnet 55, Shakespeare s confidence as a writer begins to blossom. This is proven in the first
two lines of the poem where he says, Not marble nor the gilded monuments/Of princes shall
outlive this powerful rhyme . One can t get more cocky than that. Shakespeare sets the tone. He
lets his confidence shine through and makes sure that nothing is hidden when it comes to his
ability and the power his words hold. He begins to understand that the legacy of the subject can be
preserved in a poem, if captured correctly. He goes on to iterate that his words can stand the test of
time because words can t be destroyed saying, Than unswept stone besmeared with

44. Features of Decision Making in a Political System
WHAT FEATURES OF DECISION MAKING IN POLITICAL SYSTEMS INFLUENCE THE
PRACTICE OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS?
INTRODUCTION
The changing role of law and the need to relate with a transforming society and its citizens has led
to a demand on decision making in political systems (Bijsterveld 2010). Due to the variance in the
decision making of these systems, interest groups carry out their public affairs (PA) activities in a
plethora of ways (Baumgartner 2007) as features such as type of political system, structure,
accountability, dependency on interest groups, etcetera influence PA practices. This stems from the
fact that issues that are significant in one political system might not be as significant in another
(Lowery, Poppelaars and Berkhout ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
PA is however carried out in an unbiased and harmonious way as lobbyists work hand in hand
with EU officials (Woll 2006, Mahoney 2008) and other interest groups, as the EU would rather
grant access to a Europeanized voice when addressing issues.
With regards to choice of policies to influence, interest groups in the US are more focused on
influencing legislative matters rather than regulatory policies (Baumgartner 2007, Mahoney 2008)
as they seeks to influence the decisions of the congress, the court or the administrative government
(Hansford 2004). The EU is a regulatory regime, therefore, organized interest groups particularly
business interests prefer to lobby regulatory processes to secure their individual and collective
business interests (Levy and Prakash 2003). This is done because regulatory processes affect
businesses and more often than not have policy outcomes (Baumgartner 2007).
The level of dependence on organized civil societies (OCS) is another feature that influences the
practice of PA. EU s dependence on OCS arises from their lack of resources both financial and
human, to carry out their activities. The EU commission is highly short staffed, and in need of
OCS to provide technical information and act as contributory agents (Greenwood 2007). Therefore,
OCS play consultative and cooperative roles particularly in the Commission as

45. The Dome Of The Rock
Jerusalem, in modern times, represents a religious space to Muslims, Christians, and Jews.
Jerusalem is defined by its long history of change and development. Early primary sources details
and justifies the religious significance of the city. Each of the major religions that revere Jerusalem
has their own reasoning. Prior to the Christian and Islamic belief, the Jewish believers associate
Jerusalemwith Davidic rule and the First and Second Temple on the Temple Mount. Muslims regard
Jerusalem as holy, because the Prophetical nocturnal journey was to Jerusalem first, and that the
ascension of the Prophet Muhammadto Heaven started from Jerusalem, from al Sakhra known
now as Qubbat al Sakhra (the Dome of the Rock) (El Khatib 2001:34). The Dome of the Rock is
still present and can be visited today on the Temple Mount within Jerusalem. Similar to the
ascension of Prophet Muhammad, the Christians believe that Jerusalem is the location of Jesus
resurrection from death. The Dome of the Rock bears great significance to the Islamic people, but
the question remains: Why exactly was it built on top of the Temple Mount? There can be
multiple interpretations of the answer to this question. Some claim that the reason for building
[the Dome of the Rock] in Jerusalem was that, since Ibn al Zubayr was in possession of Mek kah,
Abd al Malik wanted to divert pilgrims from the Hijaz by establishing the Palestinian city as the
religious center of Islam(Grabar 1959:35). Abd al Malik

46. Philip K Dick Research Paper
What is reality? Did the past you remember actually happen? Can you exist in two realities at
once? Are you who you think you are? Through his work, science fiction author Philip K. Dick
implies that we will all be asking such questions soon. For Dick, reality is just one of his layers. All
of his novels combined together accurately predicted the world we are in now. Philip K. Dick acts
as the Charles Dickens of science fictionin his sheer density and detail. Nearly all of his works
come from the real place, which is reality. What he sees is disintegration, dirt, corruption, and that
was him; Dick looked on the dark side of the human element saw how the dark side was romantic
and incorporated those dark corners into his books. Inside this

47. Super Soldiers And Super Soldier Experimentation Essay
Super Soldier Experiments Going through life, at times, one would wonder how vast the greed
of human beings is. Is it as dangerous as we think? Wanting something? Desiring something so
much that you would risk everything you own and love? Is it as sinful as we are taught as kids
to believe? All we have to do is take those desires and create something good out of it. However,
when we desire something that affects the rights of other living things, it is extremely bad and
these questions will all be answered with a solid Yes. . I will be sharing with you the opinion of
many others whom are against such situations; situations such as super soldierexperiments.
Super Soldier experimentation is a version of human experiments on military soldiers based on the
idea of making them the perfect killing machines. The government in charge of a certain military
base doesn t want any interference of human emotions, hunger, PTSD, and fatigue. For those in
charge, being rid of those pesky human emotions would benefit them greatly due to the fact that
those sorts of emotions may negatively impact the army s progress in defeating their enemies.
These kinds of experiments as well as other types of human experiments have been going on for as
long as the first World War or, perhaps, even before then. Numerous have been articles put out on
very notable figures in history partaking in these supposedly top secret events. Genetically modified
humans have been an ambitious venture for

48. Comparison Of Chinatown And The Big Sleep
Comparing ChinaTown and the Big Sleep
ChinaTown, directed by Roman Polanski, is a non traditional hard nosed detective film made in
the 70 s. The typical elements of character type are there; J.J. Gittes (a private detective in LA)
played by Jack Nicholson is the central character, sharing the spotlight is Fay Dunaway playing the
femme fatale Evelyn Mulwray. This film breaks all types of norms when compared to the hard
nosed detective films it is modeled after. The film is filled with allusions to the Big Sleep,
especially taken from scenes of Marlowe and Vivian. Chinatown has formal elements indicative that
it is going to be in the style of traditional Film Noir hardboiled detective, until you examine the
characters personalities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While he tells the off color joke is the real Evelyn Mulwray , standing behind him waiting with her
lawyer.
This would have never happened to Marlowe. Gattis looked like a fool.
Gettis couldn t get a one liner right if his nose depended on it. Throughout the film Gettis is
screwing up jokes or lines that were meant to be sharp and humorous. In opposition to Gettis,
Marlowe is socially smooth and rather witty. You could almost say Gettis is clumsy and crass. The
impression we are left with about Gettis is normalizing. Gettis loses the stature that comes with a
protagonist filled with bravado. He comes off kind of plain, almost corny, a regular guy.
As a detective Gettis has done very well by himself. He has Venetian blinds in his office, wears a
well tailored white suit and seems to be wealthy from his trade. In contrast, Marlowe from the Big
Sleep is barely getting by with P.I. work. It is implied that he isn t materialistic and it wouldn t out
of character for him to do work
Pro bono. Gettis is a P.I. known mostly for divorce work (catching adultery) and spying on the
unsuspecting. As a protagonist he doesn t come off very ethical. Polanski didn t make a character
the audience would love right off the bat. Supplying Curly with pictures of his wife s adultery in
the opening scene doesn t paint Gettis into a picture of the model for ethics.
Eveylyn Mulwray is no Vivian in the Big Sleep. Although
