- Now it’s time to share your design, and your design process, with a wider audience. To do this, you could create a slideshow with a combination of images and words. You should begin by discussing the insight from nature that inspired you.
- You should also discuss how you used design thinking methods. Here’s an example of how you could do this. Be sure to also tell your design story. What did you learn? Why should others care? Why does your design matter? How could it make the world better?
- Next, you should discuss how you applied an engineering mindset.
- You should be sure to include at least three criteria that guided your design process. Your criteria should derive from at least three of the categories: Technical, Making, Market, Business, and Sustainability.
- You should also be sure to include at least three constraints that limited your design. Your constraints should derive from at least three of the categories: Technical, Making, Market, Business, and Sustainability.
- Your presentation should include at least one image of your design that clearly showcases its features. Here is an example of how a high school student in Portland, Maine, illustrated the criteria that made this tidal-powered generator an innovative idea.
