Design Management
Design management is cross functional work that has become very important in today s highly
competitive environment. Management design is among the key strategic activity in many
organisations and makes a foundation on which organisation s operations are built, including the very
important activities such as managerial hierarchies and grouping of the workers. Management design
shows business leadership structure setting forth lines of authority and the reporting line in the
business. Such a design is very important because it enables stakeholders to understand their role in
the organisation. A well designed leadership structure helps to curb leadership wrangles which can
adversely affect the running of the organisation. Without clear management design, employees are
likely to get misguided or confused. To avoid such mistakes, it is very important to develop an
effective management design that guides. In addition, it is only through a very effective management
design that an organisation develops a culture recognised by the executive, management, and the
employees. Management design put in place by a company can have long lasting effects on the
company s culture. For example, creating managerial hierarchy and grouping of employees in
different departments significantly affects how the employees interact with each other which can form
a part of organisation s culture. Managerial design can dictate the employees who solve

Tomi Lahren Speech
TV host Tomi Lahren is not a nice or intelligent woman. I would like to state that before you read this
article that attempting to understanding and deciphering her uncivilized speech is going to cause you
to expend unnecessary brainpower. Once again Lahren is being seen all over social media after a
vicious attack on Beyoncé s super bowl performance. Tomi Lahren stupidly believes that it was
Beyoncé paying tribute to the Black Panthers. Apparently this halftime performance was to push the
message of Black Lives MATTER MORE . The #BLM movement has always been and still is that
Black Lives Matter . Not more, not less, just matter. The protests, marches, events, have never once
been orchestrated to declare that this ethnic group are any more valuable then any other group, but
more so that they are as valuable as others and are equal. Tomi Lahren continues to make aggressive
accusations that make me wonder what decade she thinks she s living in. Beyonce just like President

Although there may be mixed opinions about what exactly is political correctness , after watching her
final thoughts on Jesse Williams s speech, I can clearly see which side she favors. What does it even
mean for her to say that everyone has equal rights? What reason does she have to say that white
people fought in the Civil War to free enslaved people? Is she saying that white people went through
just as much horror so that we are equal? The reason so many white people were fighting in the Civil
War to fight for the freedom of those in slavery is because the black people were unable to fight
because they were enslaved! Clearly, America would not be what it is today without the benefits that
were reaped from slavery, but saying that it wasn t all that bad because after so many years people saw
that working innocent citizens against there will was probably inhumane is a stupid

Marie Daly Research Paper
Marie Daly Marie Daly is a famous biochemist who had to overcome dual hurdles of racial and gender
bias to peruse her lifelong love of chemistry. Marie had to undergo judgment from her being a woman
and trying to become a scientist, which was a male dominated occupation and also had to endure
racism because she was an African American. Marie made many scientific discoveries that we are
lucky to have today. Marie Daly s full name is Marie Maynard Daly. Marie was born on April 16th
1921 in Queens New York as an only child to Ivan and Helen Daly. Her father, Ivan C. Daly, had

opportunities she had. This made Daly work really hard on efforts to get students of color enrolled in
medical schools and graduate science programs. In honor of her father, in 1988 she started a
scholarship, for minority students who want to study science at Queens College. Daly retired from
Albert Einstein College and from her studies completely in 1986. Marie was a member of various

His Coy Mistress Tone
Everyone need to save their time and enjoy their life when they are young. Both To His Coy Mistress
by Andrew Marvell and To the Virgins, To Make much of time by Robert Herrick both examines the
idea of carpe diem. However, the way that the two speakers elaborate their point is slightly different.
The speaker in the poem To His coy Mistress use more passive tone to let people have more thinkings
of life.
To His Coy Mistress by Marvell states the idea that if people want to fall in love with others, do not be
shy or they will regretted in the future. Reading between the lines, the speaker first expressed how
much he love his girlfriend. Time s wingèd chariot hurrying near (Marvell 22) then the speaker use

form a parallelism with exaggeration to explain how much he adores his girlfriend. The speaker use
those huge words in the parallelism and contradiction to create how good the time while he was falling

A Comparison Of Malcolm X Vs. Martin Luther King Jr.
The Civil Rights movement in the 1960 s birthed the most prominent figures in the battle against
racism in the United States. Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. are immortalized as the men who
stood up and spoke out during the most crucial time in US History for African American activism.
Though often brought up in the same vein, the two had complete opposite ideology about how to
reach equality. Their influence created many prominent groups in the 60s against mistreatment of
African Americans, including the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). According to
the name of this group, they were a nonviolent team of young black activists that stemmed from MLK
s Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC). Apparent in their name, they shared the same
peaceful approach as MLK, but over time and as the hardships of the movement began to callous the
young group they shifted towards the by any means necessary approach of Malcolm X. Through the
excerpts in Takin it to the Streets, one can see the stark difference between Malcolm X s more
aggressive approach, MLK s loving approach, and the SNCC shifting its views over time but always
maintaining a steadfast commitment to the cause and a youthful bravado. Martin Luther King Jr. is a
household name. He became a martyr, known for exclusively preaching about love and dreams of
equality. MLK was impassioned and eloquent and palatable enough for white people. He never
wavered from the idea that the resolution to

A Leadership Theory Based On Values And Teamwork
Moving an organization from stagnation in a new direction can be challenging. Leaders are often
faced with a variety of employee commitment they must navigate and everything becomes enhanced
when leadership is new. For leaders to lead a continuously changing organization they must establish a
foundational leadership theory based on values and teamwork that fit within the organization and the
leaders own skill set.
Foundational Theories
The leaders must understand how the world is changing in relation to the organization and how to
relate their desires for success to possible changes (Allen and Strathern, 2003). At times the first
intervention must be to shake leadership reality to the possible for change as leaders can get caught in
the routine of something that is working, success can build complacency. If leaders are satisfied with
the way things are there is no vision for the future and change that could be made to keep the
organization relevant may pass by.
An organization that know who they are and their values must uphold those values, making decisions
based on who they are as organization. The values of the organization guide the changes that are
made. If employees and the organization are working to achieve the same goal with the same values
then leaders should be able to allow employees opportunity to engage in change (Ford, 2006). If
leadership trusts its employees they then can invite them into the change process as both are making
decision based on organizational

American government always complies with Keynesian for a long time, and believes that the reason
that total social supply is not the same to total social demand is the lack of effective demand (the
analysis of American economy). So most of the successive governments implement the expansionary
deficit policies, in order to deal with cyclical fluctuations, and stimulate effective demand artificially.
Deficit policies are easy to make economic bubble to stimulate the excessive consumption and
promote market false prosperity, especially in the financial markets, it also has contributed to raise
inflation rates. Once the bubble bursts, the economic crisis would be coming.
Socialism is an economic system characterized by social ownership and cooperative management of
the means of production, and a political philosophy advocating such a system (Wikipedia). In
socialism, the government needs to control the whole market in order to promote the productive power
according to the current market situation. The main economic strategies are based on the market and
include more government control than socialism. This is the best advantages of socialism because
when the economic crisis was coming, the government could adjust the macro control policies and
introduced a series of initiatives to expand domestic demand and promote economic development. It
achieved success quickly and efficiency. But, socialism is easy to establish monopoly enterprise.

Understanding The Development Process Of A Child
After carefully observing a 7 year old elementary school student, I was able to analyze and understand
the development process of a child in a detailed manner. The individual observed was a seven year old
Caucasian male, who is currently enrolled at a local elementary school. The participant is the oldest
child of the family who comes from a well balanced family background. Mother and the father are
healthy individuals who are actively engaged in the upbringing of the young participant. Father of the
participant is a full time graduate student at Midwestern University. The participant spends the
majority of his free time outside of his living space actively playing with his younger siblings or just
by himself. The participant is in second grade and rides to school every day on his bicycle under the
supervision of his mother. The participant spends the majority of the day with his mother than father,
this is primarily due to father s full time status as a graduate student. Observation of this participant
was divided in two locations on Midwestern University s campus. The first 40 minutes of the
observation took place outside in front of the participant s living space. Participant spent time playing
with two sticks, trying to attach one stick with another. Although the participant was preoccupied with
the sticks, he was aware of his surroundings. On multiple occasion participant made a direct eye

Loyalists Dbq Essay
The American Revolution was the revolution of the American colonies against Britain, it s mother
country. The Continental Congress, a group of delegates from each colony, voted in favor of the
Revolution on July 1st, 1776. They were tired of Britain taxing them and not treating them as proper
citizens of Britain, and decided to break away from Britain and emerge as an independent country.
There are few reasons that colonists would choose the Patriot side or choose the Loyalist side during
the Revolutionary War. 2 reasons for colonists to support Britain is that Britain had the upper hand
militarily and financially, and the Patriots were acting barbaric towards a loyalist just because he
supported King George. 2 reasons for a colonist to support the Patriots are because the British were

Britain And The American Colonies
There is always a difference between the ones that conquer and the ones that are conquered. In this
case, Britain and the American colonies developed great gaps during time, not only religious,
economical and finally cultural. The beginning of this separation between the colonists and Britain
runs deep. The Britain crown didn t invest directly in the search of colonies in the Americas and by
doing so, it gave the colonist a lose rope to start developing a new vision.
The colonists had little or nothing to report directly to the crown and what they reported could take
months to reach Britain and even more for Britain to do something about it. The vision that Britain
developed from America is the response to the vision that is created during the first years of the
colony. A wild land with abundance of resources that can generate a profit to the empire. In this vision
the colonies are not seen as part of the empire. It is a land that it is in the power of Britain s to be used
as they see fit. This would generate big problems in the future when the population and popularity of
the colonies start to grow proportionally with the profit that the colonies generate.
The fact that the Britain government did not have a strong presence in the colonies is the first step to a
new mentality. Of course, the change of mentality took generations, and even when the general
population respected the Britain crown, the devotion to a king that an ocean away from the started to

How Has Realism Theory Played a Key Role in Israeli and...

For many centuries, Judaic and Arabian societies have engaged in one of the most complicated and
lengthy conflicts known to mankind, the makings of a highly difficult peace process. Unfortunately
for all the world s peacemakers the Arab Israeli conflict, particularly the war between Israel and the
Palestinian Territories, is rooted in far more then ethnic tensions. Instead of drawing attention towards
high ranking officials of the Israeli government and Hamas, focus needs to be diverted towards the
more suspect and subtle international relations theory of realism which, has imposed more problems
than solutions.

The Background of the Arab Israeli Conflict
The Arab Israeli Conflict, and the struggle for a religious homeland, is a complex and somewhat
mystified conflict. The tensions between the Palestinian and Israeli peoples can be traced back to
Biblical times, when Abraham allocated for one of his sons, Isaac, to lay claim to Judea or modern day
Israel. Muslims claimed that the elder son Ishmael had been allocated the region in the Qur an.
Although many historians believe otherwise, these claims are still the more popular historical context
amongst monotheistic practitioners. Despite the Arab Israeli conflict being overshadowed by the
countless episodes of war, the middle ages brought with it limited prosperity. The period prior to the
first crusades saw an age of enlightment for the Arabs and the Jews, who would share their culture
with one another and attempt to co exist within Jerusalem. During this time, both cultures would make
important literary and medical advancements. However, the glory was short lived and soon the
crusades opened the floodgates and brought back with it war and tension. The end of the 19th century
brought with it the rise of Arab nationalism and Zionism, which called for the existence of a
permanent Jewish State. Herzl s 1896 manifesto The Jewish State , popularized the idea of Isaac s
promised land and influenced the Jewish peoples of Eastern Europe and Russia to proclaim Israel their
own. The Jewish people took their first steps

Tools Used by Project Managers
Introduction
Project management refers to the process of monitoring, planning and controlling a distinct set of
tasks that have a discrete end, beginning and result. The process of project managements is carried out
within three important constraints of scope, costs and time (Meredith Mantel, 2012). The purpose of
the project management is producing a product that is technically acceptable that is within and on time
the budget. To attain this, project managers tries to reduce the risks linked to the project and maximum
the benefits, including marketability and profit. There is a wide array of techniques and tools that are
used for the purpose of helping the project managers especially in controlling and monitoring the
projects.

Browning s Sonnet 13, By Elizabeth Barrett Browning
In Sonnet 13 by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, the beloved wants the speaker to transcribe the feelings
that she has for him in a sonnet. However, even though she knows that her feelings are real, she is not
yet comfortable with declaring her love in such a way. In her sonnet, Browning compares what she is
feeling to a lit torch in rough winds: And hold the torch out, while the winds are rough, / Between our
faces, to cast light on each? / I drop it at thy feet (3 5). In this metaphor, the torch acts to enlighten
what is between both Browning and her beloved. Except, with external forces (such as the rough
winds) battling against her increasing emotions, she feels as though she must focus on protecting her
feelings. By the end of this quote, Browning drops the torch, thus representing the fact that she can t
go through with describing what she feels for her beloved. Ultimately, she tells her love, My hand to
hold my spirit so far off / From myself me that I should bring thee proof / In words, of love hid in me
out of reach (6 8). Here, she states that she can t go through with risking herself. For now, he will have
to settle with silence as his only answer. Simply by evaluating Browning s response, we can see how
much she cares for her beloved. First off, she worries about the possibility of risking or changing the
strong emotions she has. Additionally, she believes that, given her profoundly heartfelt emotions, she
will not be able to accurately depict their significance.

Anaconda Analysis
Operation Anaconda: Lessons of Unsound Planning
For the first eighteen days of March in the spring of 2002, coalition forces fought Al Qaeda and the
Taliban for the Shah i Kot Valley. The operation was named Anaconda because the intent of the
coalition forces was to surround and squeeze the Al Qaeda and Taliban forces in the Shah i Kot Valley
into suppression and destroy them. Operation Anaconda was the most aggressive plan of Operation
Enduring Freedom to that point, and ultimately, was a decisive coalition victory that resulted in
fragmented enemy forces in the area for years. However, during Operation Anaconda, the Coalition
Joint Task Force Commander and his staff made fundamental errors in the Joint Operation Planning
Process (JOPP) through assumptions, command relations, and unity of command.
Assumptions
The United States Army 10th Mountain Division Commander (CJTF Mountain) accepted the
command and planning of Operation Anaconda in early February. The overall plan, originally devised
and designed by Special Operation Forces Command, called for coalition forces led by Afghan
Soldiers to drive into the Shah i Kot Valley while other U.S. forces and Afghan troops held a blocking
position. Based on intelligence estimates, CJTF Mountain and his staff planned for the Al Qaeda and
Taliban forces to flee into the mountains where U.S. forces were waiting to capture them.
Unfortunately, CJTF Mountain and his staff made many assumptions based on unverified data in

How The Growth Of Cities And Scotland Influenced The...
If time travel was possible and one could somehow travel from Scotland nineteenth century to
Scotland twentieth, a dramatic difference would be noticed. In those one hundred years much in
Scotland transformed. This essay shall look at the changes that took place and how the growth of
cities in Scotland influenced the development of social welfare.
During the 1760s Scottish economy started undergoing some important transformations. There was a
shift from agriculture to industry which did not happen overnight and some effects of this were not
seen until sometime later. The change started within the linen industry. Cotton soon started to take
over as it turned out to be more adaptable to the new textile machines that came in to use in the last
1700s. A number of revolutionary inventions changed how the productions of textile goods were
produced in Scotland. The Spinning Jenny in 1760s allowed steam power to be introduced in the
1780s to mule spinning. Steam power changed everything about production. At this time the size of
the cities compared to the outer parts such as villages and highlands expanded hugely. The population
in Scotland almost doubled in fifty years from 1.625m in 1801 to 2.896m in 1851, with this rapid
growing happening mostly in the industrial cities. Glasgow s population went from 77,000 to 275.000.
Dundee from 26,000 people to 166,000. Even smaller industrial towns were expanding; Paisley had
only 4,000 people during the 1750s and rose to 24,000 in

Crohn s Disease And The Inflammatory Process
Crohn s Disease and the Inflammatory Process Crohn s disease is an inflammatory process in the
intestines that is marked by abnormal inflammation of the GI tract. Crohn s disease is treated with a
variety of single or combined therapies that work at decreasing inflammatory process. Within this
essay, I will discuss the etiology and pathophysiology of Crohn s disease, the evidence based practice
treatment of Crohn s and how these medications work in reducing the inflammatory process. I will
also discuss the nursing considerations and patient teaching needed in the treatment and maintenance
of the disease.
Etiology and Pathophysiology Crohn s disease (CD) is a systemic auto immune disease that is marked
by abnormal inflammation of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, it affects any part of the GI tract from
mouth to anus. CD mainly presents in three areas: the small intestine, the colon, and the perianal
region. CD mostly occurs between the ages of 15 and 30 years, or between the ages of 60 and 80 years
of age. The exact etiology of Crohn s disease is unknown. As stated by Mazal (2014) Genetic

Cultural Heritage Of The French Tourism
Tourism in France is an important activity, both for the French who choose to spend their holidays,
and foreigners who come to stay. Thus, since 1990, France became the first tourist destination in the
world. The tourist attraction of France is due to the large number and wide variety of points of interest,
diversity of landscapes, the rich cultural and artistic heritage, the temperate climate and ease of access
and transport infrastructure, but also the important equipment in the country and varied reception
facilities (hotels, amusement parks...). Thus, each department is a French tourist department with
several points of interest. France has a rich well known cultural heritage, favored by many sites listed
as World Heritage of UNESCO. The French tourism has many different facets and positive economic
impacts and France makes every effort to maintain the liveliness of this important asset. The history of
tourism in France began around 1760 in the south of France in Hyeres, becoming a common winter
resort renowned among UK thanks to its relatively mild Mediterranean climate. In 1910 Alexandre
Millerand, the French Minister of Public Works at the time, created the first tourism office, with the
desire to promote those places that must be contemplated and visited by many. The intellectual vision
that covers his entourage will then change since we will be more aware of our surroundings. We
decide consciously to build tourism in these places. However, the trip is

Narrative Essay On A Trip To Honduras
Traveling can be enjoyable and frightening at the same time. Being from Honduras, my family would
travel back in forth from the U.S. to Honduras every summer. Being able to experience living in two
different cultures was a good experience and allowed for a more understanding approach of different
societies and how the identity of the people living in those Society s is unique.
My favorite part of traveling was when it was time to go to the airport and getting onto the airplane.
For the most part I enjoyed the plane the most because as a kid I would always imagine was if it were
a rise. On the summer trip of June of two thousand ten stood out from the rest due to the almost fatal
accident that occurred mid flight. Usually, the flights were quite ... Show more content on

At first, the flight was normal and nothing out of the ordinary. Regularly, I would stare through the
window as I saw the amazing views. The scariest thing about being on a plane was when you would
look down and see how far up you are.
As the long flight continued everything was good and the food was delicious. Everything was normal
until there was weird noises that seemed to be coming from the aircraft. This understandably
frightened a lot of passengers and myself due to the knowledge of risks that are taken when flying.
You could hear the panic in the area as any passengers were calling the attendants, so they way ask
them questions on what was going on. Sadly, I could hear in the tone of the attendant s voices that
they were as clueless as we were. Eventually we were given some news on the situation.
As word came from the pilots that there was an issue with one of the plane engines and that we should
try and prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Being a child, I began to cry because of the fear
surrounded me from the passengers and my family. However, what amazed me was how professional
the flight attendants were throughout the whole flight. They showed on there actions that they were
fearless and capable of trying to protect as much as they

Role Of Business In Business
The responsibility to society is that of government; certainly not that of business Discuss the role of

Corporate Social Responsibility, More Than Charity Work an article written by Don Wehby where he

The Sherman Act Of 1890
A Sherman Act of 1890 The Sherman Act of 1890 as referenced in McConnell and Campbell (2011),
consists of two main regulations; Section 1 Every contract, combination in the form of a trust or
otherwise, or conspiracy, in restraint of trade or commerce among the several States, or with foreign
nations is declared to be illegal. Section 2 Every person who shall monopolize, or attempt to
monopolize, or combine or conspire with any person or persons, to monopolize any part of the trade or
commerce among the several states, or with foreign nations, shall be deemed guilty of a felony (as
later amended from misdemeanor ). (p.375) The historical context of the Sherman Act lies in the
corporate climate of the United States during the time period preceding the creation of these antitrust
laws. At that time the market was dominated by several monopolies in industries such as railroads,
tobacco production, meatpacking and coal mining. The US Government determined the monopolies
did not provide enough fair competition in those industries to provide protection of consumers. The
Sherman Act of 1890 created the legislation to declare the existing monopolies illegal and made
violation of the Act a felony, essentially deeming the existing monopolies in violation of the law.
These two regulations made common practices such as price fixing and market divisions illegal. The
Sherman Act would open the doors for individuals and government agencies such as the U.S

How Did Exxel Differentiate Itself From Other Private...
1) What was the key strategy that Navarro pursued from 1991 on to establish Exxel as a leading Latin
American private equity organization? How did Exxel differentiate itself from other private equity
competitors?
Juan Navarro, the former Chairman of Citigroup Capital Investors S.A. (CCI) in Buenos Aires,
founded the Exxel Group in 1991. Due to his family s influential background in Uruguayan and
Argentine political and financial establishments, as well as his own work with the CCI, Navarro was
well connected and highly experienced in the financial and political sectors, and in private equity
itself. The political situation in Latin America at the time was fairly unstable and the launching of the

buyout firms and institutions. This was again for reasons of credibility as it assured both Latin
American and U.S. investors. Furthermore, it opened up more development opportunities for their
portfolio companies, as U.S. investors could transfer their experience from the American market to the
Argentine environment.
Exxel s fund devotion was mainly to invest in buyouts, recapitalizations, privatizations and mergers of
Argentine firms. Each fund was always devoted to a single transaction, which had the advantage of
being very focused on and informed about the transaction itself, as well as all corresponding
circumstances.
To differentiate itself from other private equity groups, Exxel built on Navarro s unique strength: his
ability to originate deals, based on his strong ties with local business community [!], and then to add
value to these enterprises . Exxel also put diligent work in their target selection. To maximize the
success rates, they first picked the most attractive industries, and then chose the best firms within
those industries.
To achieve an even stronger partnership with their portfolio companies, Navarro and his team would
then work on the development of a network of service

The Absurd Hero Essay
Larry March Professor R.M Stambaugh English 1102 24 February 2012 The embodiment of the

The Guest is about Daru, a lonely schoolteacher in Camus boyhood home of Algeria. Daru likes living
in solitude, but he must learn to recognize that choices are unavoidable and that his choices matter.
The story takes place in the middle of the nineteenth century when Algeria is still a land full of
conflict between the oppressed Algerian people and their French colonial rulers. At the beginning of
the story the French send the gendarme, Balducci to Daru with an Arab convicted of murder. Through

As the protagonist of the story, Daru expresses what Camus sees as the positive results of facing
human responsibility. He revolts because one must be willing, if necessary, to make a decision that
goes against the norm in order to affirm humanity. Daru revolts when he treats the Arab as a brother
and offers him freedom. In the existentialist philosophy there is no moral guilt for an action, only a
person s choice and the results. Any guilt is found in people like Balducci who choose to take no
action. In accepting this responsibility, Daru accepts the fundamental human freedom of choice, not
only in himself but in the man to whom he gives the liberty to decide his own fate. In the story, the
idea of the absurd hero leaves the way open for the birth of heroes such as Daru and such as the Arab
might have been if he had had the courage to turn from the path leading to his own fate. Daru can be
called an existential hero because he makes a decision that defines himself in terms of honor and
courage. He made a commendable decision in granting the prisoner the freedom to choose. As an
existentialist hero he receives no favor from the universe for his action. He acts alone. This is his
absurdity, but it is also his greatness. The significance of his decision, Makes him the absurd hero. The
story shines with love for life and beauty, with Daru s intense pleasure in the vibrant scenery. Camus

EXAMINE THE SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL IMPACT OF THE FIRST WORLD
WAR ON FRANCE.
The signing of the Treaty of Versailles was not the end of the World War One, since it s social,
economic and political effects influenced the lives of people long after the last shot was fired. And
France being one of world war one s theatre, these problems affected France to a great extent.
Even since before the war, France had a problem with the declining birth rate and the war death, of
about 1.3 million, worsened that problem. Post world war one, France had the highest proportion of
deaths than any other country involved in the war and that had a serious demographic impact. Women

To solve this, the government implemented schemes to attract immigrant workers from around Europe
and although it succeeded in solving the problem with the lack of workers, it also may have had a
negative effect on the pride of the French. Additionally, the destruction of infrastructure and farmlands
further hindered any plans the French government had on stabilizing the economic situation in France.
One example of this, is the French coal mines that the German army had destroyed by blowing them
up, flooding them and filling them with waste material. Another issue was material losses, which was
devastating for the economy especially in the North eastern part of France. The areas under German
occupation suffered particular hardships which left a lasting impression on the economy and the local
population. Of around 1 million buildings as well as factories and transport infrastructure, such a
bridges, were damaged, and in order to pay off the war effort, the French government sold off its gold
reserves and investments and borrowed a massive amount of money. Income tax was also introduced
in 1916 but paid for only about one third of the cost of the war effort. At the end, about 30 billion
franc worth of debts was owed to mainly the US, Britain and some French middle class bondholders.

Queen Elizabeth I
Queen Elizabeth I was the most extraordinary leader in English history. She was born on September 7,
1533 at Greenwich Palace. Her birth was not celebrated; instead it was a bitter failure to her father
King Henry VIII, who was expecting the birth of a son. Her mother was executed for treason not long
after her birth (Jokinen 1). After Henry VIII s third spouse Jane Seymour died; however, Elizabeth
was set back in the order of succession after Edward and Mary by act of parliament. When she came
into power, she had to clean up the mess that was left by her sister Mary s five year reign. Mary had
suddenly changed the national religion from Protestantism to Catholicism, and she was not going to
listen to any objections. She pitilessly hunted down and executed Protestants who refused to convert.
After Elizabeth I took the throne, she switched back to Protestantism and restored religious order in
England (Greenblatt 15). Under Elizabeth, religion and nationality were nearly the same (Greenblatt
19). Her first act as Queen was to form a loyal government: she replaced the Privy Council with
eligible advisors such as nobles, lawyers, and businessmen (Greenblatt 15). Although she had a
fantastic board of advisors, she did not allow them to decide her choices (Alchin 1). Elizabeth was
determined to set up a safe and steady government. During Queen Elizabeth s forty five year reign,
England thrived considerably. Her reign witnessed a large gain in literacy and accomplishments in the

Situational Transitions
In life people constantly experience changes. Whether the change is bad, good, expected or
unexpected, it always occurs. Similarly, people also go through transitions. However, unlike change,
which is a shift in what a person is used to, a transition is a turning point that often causes a major
reshaping in a person s life (Transitions Class Notes, 2010). There are five types of transitions that a
person can experience. The transitions include developmental, health illness, organizational,
situational, and multiple (Situational Transitions Class Notes, 2012). A situational transition in

Another difference noted between the articles is that Perriera et al. (2007) focuses more on Latino
immigrant youth whereas Birman et al. (2007) and Gaytan et al. (2007) do not draw on a particular
ethnic group but on immigrant youth in general. Evidently, migrating to a new country can be
challenging for immigrant youth. Having a lack of resources available to meet their needs and family
conflict surrounding cultural preferences, can lead to the youth to have feelings of powerlessness and
despair. Powerlessness is the perception that one lacks the capacity or authority to affect an outcome
(Situational Transitions Class Notes, 2012). Without the proper resources available to immigrant youth
in their new culture and surroundings, they can feel as if there is nothing they can do to assist them to
progress in their new life. Also, because of family conflict, youth may feel as if they cannot talk to
their parents about their difficulties and therefore have nobody to support them through this
challenging time. This can cause them to feel defeated and believe themselves to be inadequate in
their capabilities. As a result, feelings of guilt and shame can arise, which in turn can cause them to
have a consistent negative outlook and continuously cause them to believe that they will fail. It is
important to recognize the impact of feeling of powerlessness as it can significantly affect the ability

Given this, the management team made the decision to undertake a review of the cash recovery
process itself with a view to developing a new strategy which would speed up cash collections.
The process review was commenced by management in September 2012. By January 2013 however it
became clear to the management team that although they had an idea of what they wanted to achieve,
and the issues they believed were preventing this, they were not equipped to complete the process
review themselves. At this time I was approached by them and retained as a consultant with a view to
not only completing a full process review and implementation, but also to ensure that the process put
in place was scalable for the increasing business they were expecting to take on over the coming 24

It was clear from my analysis of the initial XXXXXXXXXXXXX process design (what little of it

looking to achieve or felt would be reasonable before they designed the initial process. The process
itself was decided on by a few members of the senior management team in isolation

Explain how the themes and issues were communicated in a passage to
India.
The passage to India has many themes and issues throughout the play.
When you enter the theatre the characters have already started to act, there are Indians seated in the
left corner on a raised part of the stage playing music. The music is made by tradition Indian drums
and a violin, to contrast the two cultures. The music gives an Indian experience. I think the music tried
to show the influence that the
English culture had over the Indians, as the Indians were playing a violin in there own country. The
town in the scene I believe is meant to be symbolic and represent what the whole of Indian is like.
One of the most significant themes is the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The lighting was excellent in the play. You could clearly see when it was day and night because in the
day there was a very bright, yellow light and a night the lights were very low. They used candles in the
play creating atmosphere of the Indians and maybe to show the time period. They also put a candle on
each side of the stage so this could represent how far away there cultures and societies were from each
other. Another theme is the interaction between eastern and western culture.
In the play Mrs. Moore is to a large extent an idealized character in
A Passage to India; this elderly woman is sensitive, intelligent and kind to Dr. Azis. She is a symbol of
all that is decent in western culture: she takes open minded views and uses Christian ideals of
behaviour. It is not at all surprising that he so quickly takes a liking to her.
In the play one of the issues is racism, like in the court case Dr
Asiz was not going to get a fair trial as he was Indian and also it shows in the play that sometimes
people don t agree with there own race, for example Adela at first supports doctor Azis, at the start
when they are smoking together.
In the play the British identify their power by their ability to dominate the Indians and exclude them
from certain privileges, whether political or social. Religion was an issue in the play because it creates
a divide between the

Our Time John Wideman Analysis
In the essay Our Time by John Edgar Wideman, Wideman is speaking on how he and his brother s life
differ even though they grew up together. The author utilizes many distinctive literary techniques such
as personification, breaking the narrative, point of view, and a couple examples of diction. One of the
literary methods Wideman uses is personification. My senses at times tingles and itch (Wideman).
Writers use personification to trigger the emotions of the reader. It also makes sentences additionally
fascinating. It allows the reader to connect with the author on a more personal level. The example I

Our Time is one great example of an essay that exemplifies the use of different literary devices, which
helps us as readers connect with him as a writer even better.
John Edgar Widerman s Our Time addresses the controversial nature vs. nurture argument. This essay
about John and his brother demonstrates how nurture plays a stronger and bigger role than nature.
Trying not to be a product of your environment is so detrimental in making it in life. There are so
many people blame their upbringing for the trouble they get in. Just because your mom or dad was not
the richest people, or honest, or even if they were in and out of jail, drunks, drug addicts or whatever.
That does not mean you should follow in their footsteps. No matter what, us as children should always
strive to be better than our parents. No matter the pigmentation of your skin there will always be
stereotypes. When some people see an African American male with a t shirt, jeans, and a pair of
Jordan s on they might instantly think he is some type of thug or drug dealer. When some people see a
single mother no matter African American or Caucasian with more than four kids some may think that
they the kids might not have the same fathers. The crazy part is that the young African American male
you see might be a doctor, a lawyer, or maybe the CEO of the company you want to work for, the
single mother you see might be widowed, or anything. One goal in life should to be never to fall into
the stereotype of your race, gender, or

The Impact Of Organizational Change On Change Management
Introduction
Change is a phenomenon which is inevitable in every aspect of human life and it is always constant
despite the fact that people do resist change due to some reasons. Organizational change is also a
phenomenon which cannot be avoided by organization, because internal and external factors exist
which can cause an organization to change. According to Mills an et al (2008) organization change
can be defined as an alteration of a core aspect of an organization s operations. Theses core aspects
involve culture of the company, the technology used or the structure of the organization. This report
will evaluate the impact of organizational changes.
Change Management
The change Management function will assess the nature and magnitude of the change as a result of the
change programme and who it will affect. In parallel to this, the team should put in place measures to
assess how ready people are for the change. As an output of the change readiness assessments, and any
areas of the organisation who look to be particularly resistant to change or are facing a significant
volume of change can be given specific focus. The readiness to change will be measured across the
project lifecycle to monitor and track the sentiment of the organisation.
Policies and Procedures against the Strategic Plan
Once reviewed, policies which had been developed in response to meeting the requirements of the
strategic plan must b reviewed to identify those that require change. The time taken

Essay On Budgeting
Did you know Google AdWords just announced on October 4, 2017, advertisers budgets will be
automatically enabled to exceed their daily allotment by two times?
Is this an optional change?
Nope!
Is this a good change and will it affect how you actually allocate your daily ad spend? Well, that
depends.
What Does the New Adwords Daily Budget Update Really Mean for You?
When it comes right down to it what s changed? And do you actually lose any control over your daily

Google hasn t made any major changes to AdWords in quite some time until now. Google quietly

makes advertisers a little nervous because they don t want the ... Show more content on

However, the end result of this policy, which is yet to be seen, has advertisers concluding that setting a
daily budget means nothing now.
Potential Issues (Good and Bad) as a Result of This New Update
There are several things that are going to change and perhaps be a little more challenging. For
example:
1. You ll probably never come in under your monthly advertising budget again. That could be good or
bad depending on how you look at it.
2. This change will help you maximize your monthly ad spend by showing your ads to more people
and that s great. Isn t that what you want? Of course you do. But it s also an opportunity for Google to
increase their ad revenue because this will have every advertiser coming a little closer to spending all
of their monthly budget. So it appears to be a win win for everyone.
3. Your daily tracking reports will show more sporadic numbers. On some days your ads will be
overserved and other days they will fall short, but the daily fluctuations will go both ways which
means your spend will level out by month s end.
Explaining How it All Works
Google has always had the ability to exceed the daily AdWords budget you ve selected; however, they
previously had it capped at 20 percent versus the 100 percent they are now using to manipulate their
policy.

There was one graduate who identified himself as an online student. Since the assumption was made
that the students would be affected by social and academic in their persistence, on line students may
have a disadvantage by not having the connections of a fraternity or being a part of a team as a support
system to be successful. Another aspect that could be analyzed is the persistenace from students who
started at MSU as freshmen, and compare that information with students who transferred from
community college or other institutions. Some of the graduates stated they believe their determination
to persist to graduation was due to having a mentor to help them throughout their college experience.
A way to further this study could be to study the experiences of graduates who had mentors versus
those who did not have a mentor and evaluate how this had an impact on their persistence to graduate.
As a part of the study for this capstone, one one of the tenets for the African American Male Theory
was used. Since the AAMT is a theoretical framework that can be used to articulate the position and
trajectory of African American boys and men in society (Bush Bush, 2013), would any of the other
tenets show or demonstrate the persistenace of African American males in high education. There
would be five others to choice from.

Paulo Freire The Banking Concept Of Education
Paulo Freire believes that the world is primarily dominated by the banking concept in regards to
education. Under the banking concept, Freire describes the relationship between students and teachers
as involv[ing] a narrating Subject (the teacher) and patient, listening objects (the students) (216).
Freire later goes on to symbolize students as empty receptacles awaiting teachers to dump their
knowledge freely to fill the empty spaces. Memorization, obedience, oppression, and dominance all
describe the inner workings of the banking concept. Students lose their ability to become cogitative
thinkers as they memorize lectures, never speak their voice or dissent to teachers, and give all of their
freedom to their professors. Students then become slaves to the classroom, and rather than a symbiotic
relationship existing between students and teachers, the road is very one way. If Freire were to analyze

me and make me feel educated (350). This points readers in the direction that the banking concept
molds students to be mindless receptacles awaiting dumped knowledge; reading then is used to soak in
the word count and not the actual meaning behind the piece. In The Banking Concept of Education,
Freire makes an interesting point:
The interests of the oppressors lie in changing the consciousness of the oppressed, not the situation

Management design is among the key strategic activity in many organisations and makes a foundation on which organisation s operations are built, including the very important activities such as managerial hierarchies and grouping of the workers. • 3. Tomi Lahren Speech TV host Tomi Lahren is not a nice or intelligent woman. I would like to state that before you read this article that attempting to understanding and deciphering her uncivilized speech is going to cause you to expend unnecessary brainpower. Once again Lahren is being seen all over social media after a vicious attack on Beyoncé s super bowl performance. Tomi Lahren stupidly believes that it was Beyoncé paying tribute to the Black Panthers. Apparently this halftime performance was to push the message of Black Lives MATTER MORE . The #BLM movement has always been and still is that Black Lives Matter . Not more, not less, just matter. The protests, marches, events, have never once been orchestrated to declare that this ethnic group are any more valuable then any other group, but more so that they are as valuable as others and are equal. Tomi Lahren continues to make aggressive accusations that make me wonder what decade she thinks she s living in. Beyonce just like President Obama, Jada ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although there may be mixed opinions about what exactly is political correctness , after watching her final thoughts on Jesse Williams s speech, I can clearly see which side she favors. What does it even mean for her to say that everyone has equal rights? What reason does she have to say that white people fought in the Civil War to free enslaved people? Is she saying that white people went through just as much horror so that we are equal? The reason so many white people were fighting in the Civil War to fight for the freedom of those in slavery is because the black people were unable to fight because they were enslaved! Clearly, America would not be what it is today without the benefits that were reaped from slavery, but saying that it wasn t all that bad because after so many years people saw that working innocent citizens against there will was probably inhumane is a stupid ... Marie had to undergo judgment from her being a woman and trying to become a scientist, which was a male dominated occupation and also had to endure racism because she was an African American. Marie made many scientific discoveries that we are lucky to have today. Marie Daly s full name is Marie Maynard Daly. Marie was born on April 16th 1921 in Queens New York as an only child to Ivan and Helen Daly. Her father, Ivan C. During this time Daly also worked on how cigarettes effect the human body. Once Daly found the importance of her work, she knew she wanted others to have the opportunities she had. This made Daly work really hard on efforts to get students of color enrolled in medical schools and graduate science programs. In honor of her father, in 1988 she started a scholarship, for minority students who want to study science at Queens College. Daly retired from Albert Einstein College and from her studies completely in 1986. Marie was a member of various different groups such as American chemical society, American Society of Biological Chemists; Ameri can Heart Association; Harvéy Society; National Association for the Advancement of Colored People; National Association of Negro Business and professional Women, and New York Academy of Sciences Board of Governors. • 7. A Comparison Of Malcolm X Vs. Martin Luther King Jr. The Civil Rights movement in the 1960 s birthed the most prominent figures in the battle against racism in the United States. Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. are immortalized as the men who stood up and spoke out during the most crucial time in US History for African American activism. Though often brought up in the same vein, the two had complete opposite ideology about how to reach equality. Their influence created many prominent groups in the 60s against mistreatment of African Americans, including the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). According to the name of this group, they were a nonviolent team of young black activists that stemmed from MLK s Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC). Apparent in their name, they shared the same peaceful approach as MLK, but over time and as the hardships of the movement began to callous the young group they shifted towards the by any means necessary approach of Malcolm X. • 8. A Leadership Theory Based On Values And Teamwork Moving an organization from stagnation in a new direction can be challenging. Leaders are often faced with a variety of employee commitment they must navigate and everything becomes enhanced when leadership is new. For leaders to lead a continuously changing organization they must establish a foundational leadership theory based on values and teamwork that fit within the organization and the leaders own skill set. Foundational Theories The leaders must understand how the world is changing in relation to the organization and how to relate their desires for success to possible changes (Allen and Strathern, 2003). At times the first intervention must be to shake leadership reality to the possible for change as leaders can get caught in the routine of something that is working, success can build complacency. If leaders are satisfied with the way things are there is no vision for the future and change that could be made to keep the organization relevant may pass by. An organization that know who they are and their values must uphold those values, making decisions based on who they are as organization. The values of the organization guide the changes that are made. If employees and the organization are working to achieve the same goal with the same values then leaders should be able to allow employees opportunity to engage in change (Ford, 2006). If leadership trusts its employees they then can invite them into the change process as both are making decision based on organizational ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Continental Congress, a group of delegates from each colony, voted in favor of the Revolution on July 1st, 1776. • 12. Britain And The American Colonies There is always a difference between the ones that conquer and the ones that are conquered. In this case, Britain and the American colonies developed great gaps during time, not only religious, economical and finally cultural. The beginning of this separation between the colonists and Britain runs deep. The Britain crown didn t invest directly in the search of colonies in the Americas and by doing so, it gave the colonist a lose rope to start developing a new vision. The colonists had little or nothing to report directly to the crown and what they reported could take months to reach Britain and even more for Britain to do something about it. The vision that Britain developed from America is the response to the vision that is created during the first years of the colony. A wild land with abundance of resources that can generate a profit to the empire. In this vision the colonies are not seen as part of the empire. It is a land that it is in the power of Britain s to be used as they see fit. This would generate big problems in the future when the population and popularity of the colonies start to grow proportionally with the profit that the colonies generate. The fact that the Britain government did not have a strong presence in the colonies is the first step to a new mentality. Of course, the change of mentality took generations, and even when the general population respected the Britain crown, the devotion to a king that an ocean away from the started to create a ... The Background of the Arab Israeli Conflict The Arab Israeli Conflict, and the struggle for a religious homeland, is a complex and somewhat mystified conflict. The tensions between the Palestinian and Israeli peoples can be traced back to Biblical times, when Abraham allocated for one of his sons, Isaac, to lay claim to Judea or modern day Israel. Muslims claimed that the elder son Ishmael had been allocated the region in the Qur an. Although many historians believe otherwise, these claims are still the more popular historical context amongst monotheistic practitioners. Despite the Arab Israeli conflict being overshadowed by the countless episodes of war, the middle ages brought with it limited prosperity. The period prior to the first crusades saw an age of enlightment for the Arabs and the Jews, who would share their culture with one another and attempt to co exist within Jerusalem. During this time, both cultures would make important literary and medical advancements. However, the glory was short lived and soon the crusades opened the floodgates and brought back with it war and tension. The end of the 19th century brought with it the rise of Arab nationalism and Zionism, which called for the existence of a permanent Jewish State. • 18. Browning s Sonnet 13, By Elizabeth Barrett Browning In Sonnet 13 by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, the beloved wants the speaker to transcribe the feelings that she has for him in a sonnet. However, even though she knows that her feelings are real, she is not yet comfortable with declaring her love in such a way. In her sonnet, Browning compares what she is feeling to a lit torch in rough winds: And hold the torch out, while the winds are rough, / Between our faces, to cast light on each? / I drop it at thy feet (3 5). In this metaphor, the torch acts to enlighten what is between both Browning and her beloved. Except, with external forces (such as the rough winds) battling against her increasing emotions, she feels as though she must focus on protecting her feelings. By the end of this quote, Browning drops the torch, thus representing the fact that she can t go through with describing what she feels for her beloved. Ultimately, she tells her love, My hand to hold my spirit so far off / From myself me that I should bring thee proof / In words, of love hid in me out of reach (6 8). Here, she states that she can t go through with risking herself. For now, he will have to settle with silence as his only answer. Simply by evaluating Browning s response, we can see how much she cares for her beloved. First off, she worries about the possibility of risking or changing the strong emotions she has. If time travel was possible and one could somehow travel from Scotland nineteenth century to Scotland twentieth, a dramatic difference would be noticed. In those one hundred years much in Scotland transformed. This essay shall look at the changes that took place and how the growth of cities in Scotland influenced the development of social welfare. During the 1760s Scottish economy started undergoing some important transformations. There was a shift from agriculture to industry which did not happen overnight and some effects of this were not seen until sometime later. The change started within the linen industry. Cotton soon started to take over as it turned out to be more adaptable to the new textile machines that came in to use in the last 1700s. A number of revolutionary inventions changed how the productions of textile goods were produced in Scotland. The Spinning Jenny in 1760s allowed steam power to be introduced in the 1780s to mule spinning. Steam power changed everything about production. At this time the size of the cities compared to the outer parts such as villages and highlands expanded hugely. The population in Scotland almost doubled in fifty years from 1.625m in 1801 to 2.896m in 1851, with this rapid growing happening mostly in the industrial cities. Glasgow s population went from 77,000 to 275.000. Dundee from 26,000 people to 166,000. Income tax was also introduced in 1916 but paid for only about one third of the cost of the war effort. At the end, about 30 billion franc worth of debts was owed to mainly the US, Britain and some French middle class bondholders. Some examples would be overjet, overbite, open bite, cross bite, and under bite. It has been found that these occlusal discrepancies may play a role in the progression of periodontal diseases. Some research has been done on the relationship of these two aspects but it is very controversial and more research needs to be performed before a definite answer can be provided. Many researchers have studied where or not occlusion has a connection with progression of periodontal disease but it has been very controversial. Some studies have been conducted but the World Workshop on Periodontics stated that controlled clinical trials that evaluated the role that occlusion had on the progression of periodontal disease in humans, was unethical. To avoid unethical situations, patient records from a private practice facility were collected and studied to see if there was a connection between occlusal discrepancies and the progression of periodontal disease. The records that were studied were from patients that had periodontal evaluations as well as occlusal assessments. All of the patients studied had periodontal disease but only some of them had occlusal decencies. After a twelve month period some patients returned and had another periodontal evaluation and occlusal assessment and the data was compared to the data that was collected twelve months prior. The data collected was compared. Patients without occlusal discrepancies and patients with occlusal discrepancies both had worsening periodontal disease after twelve months of no treatment but, the progression of periodontal disease and increased pocket probing depths ... • 30. Queen Elizabeth I Queen Elizabeth I was the most extraordinary leader in English history. She was born on September 7, 1533 at Greenwich Palace. Her birth was not celebrated; instead it was a bitter failure to her father King Henry VIII, who was expecting the birth of a son. Her mother was executed for treason not long after her birth (Jokinen 1). After Henry VIII s third spouse Jane Seymour died; however, Elizabeth was set back in the order of succession after Edward and Mary by act of parliament. When she came into power, she had to clean up the mess that was left by her sister Mary s five year reign. Mary had suddenly changed the national religion from Protestantism to Catholicism, and she was not going to listen to any objections. She pitilessly hunted down and executed Protestants who refused to convert. After Elizabeth I took the throne, she switched back to Protestantism and restored religious order in England (Greenblatt 15). Under Elizabeth, religion and nationality were nearly the same (Greenblatt 19). Her first act as Queen was to form a loyal government: she replaced the Privy Council with eligible advisors such as nobles, lawyers, and businessmen (Greenblatt 15). Although she had a fantastic board of advisors, she did not allow them to decide her choices (Alchin 1). Elizabeth was determined to set up a safe and steady government. During Queen Elizabeth s forty five year reign, England thrived considerably. Her reign witnessed a large gain in literacy and accomplishments in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 32. Situational Transitions In life people constantly experience changes. Whether the change is bad, good, expected or unexpected, it always occurs. Similarly, people also go through transitions. However, unlike change, which is a shift in what a person is used to, a transition is a turning point that often causes a major reshaping in a person s life (Transitions Class Notes, 2010). There are five types of transitions that a person can experience. The transitions include developmental, health illness, organizational, situational, and multiple (Situational Transitions Class Notes, 2012). A situational transition in particular is when a person experiences a reshaping in their lifestyle (Hampton, 2010). That being said, immigration is considered to be a situational ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another difference noted between the articles is that Perriera et al. (2007) focuses more on Latino immigrant youth whereas Birman et al. (2007) and Gaytan et al. (2007) do not draw on a particular ethnic group but on immigrant youth in general. Evidently, migrating to a new country can be challenging for immigrant youth. Having a lack of resources available to meet their needs and family conflict surrounding cultural preferences, can lead to the youth to have feelings of powerlessness and despair. Powerlessness is the perception that one lacks the capacity or authority to affect an outcome (Situational Transitions Class Notes, 2012). Without the proper resources available to immigrant youth in their new culture and surroundings, they can feel as if there is nothing they can do to assist them to progress in their new life. Also, because of family conflict, youth may feel as if they cannot talk to their parents about their difficulties and therefore have nobody to support them through this challenging time. This can cause them to feel defeated and believe themselves to be inadequate in their capabilities. As a result, feelings of guilt and shame can arise, which in turn can cause them to have a consistent negative outlook and continuously cause them to believe that they will fail. It is important to recognize the impact of feeling of powerlessness as it can significantly affect the ability of the newcomer youth ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Given this, the management team made the decision to undertake a review of the cash recovery process itself with a view to developing a new strategy which would speed up cash collections. The process review was commenced by management in September 2012. By January 2013 however it became clear to the management team that although they had an idea of what they wanted to achieve, and the issues they believed were preventing this, they were not equipped to complete the process review themselves. At this time I was approached by them and retained as a consultant with a view to not only completing a full process review and implementation, but also to ensure that the process put in place was scalable for the increasing business they were expecting to take on over the coming 24 months. It was clear from my analysis of the initial XXXXXXXXXXXXX process design (what little of it their was) that little thought or analysis was carried out into the market generally or what they were looking to achieve or felt would be reasonable before they designed the initial process. The passage to India has many themes and issues throughout the play. When you enter the theatre the characters have already started to act, there are Indians seated in the left corner on a raised part of the stage playing music. The music is made by tradition Indian drums and a violin, to contrast the two cultures. The music gives an Indian experience. I think the music tried to show the influence that the English culture had over the Indians, as the Indians were playing a violin in there own country. The town in the scene I believe is meant to be symbolic and represent what the whole of Indian is like. One of the most significant themes is the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The lighting was excellent in the play. You could clearly see when it was day and night because in the day there was a very bright, yellow light and a night the lights were very low. They used candles in the play creating atmosphere of the Indians and maybe to show the time period. They also put a candle on each side of the stage so this could represent how far away there cultures and societies were from each other. Another theme is the interaction between eastern and western culture. In the play Mrs. Moore is to a large extent an idealized character in A Passage to India; this elderly woman is sensitive, intelligent and kind to Dr. Azis. She is a symbol of all that is decent in western culture: she takes open minded views and uses Christian ideals of behaviour. It is not at all surprising that he so quickly takes a liking to her. In the play one of the issues is racism, like in the court case Dr Asiz was not going to get a fair trial as he was Indian and also it shows in the play that sometimes people don t agree with there own race, for example Adela at first supports doctor Azis, at the start when they are smoking together. In the play the British identify their power by their ability to dominate the Indians and exclude them from certain privileges, whether political or social. Religion was an issue in the play because it creates a divide between the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The author utilizes many distinctive literary techniques such as personification, breaking the narrative, point of view, and a couple examples of diction. One of the literary methods Wideman uses is personification. My senses at times tingles and itch (Wideman). Writers use personification to trigger the emotions of the reader. Our Time is one great example of an essay that exemplifies the use of different literary devices, which helps us as readers connect with him as a writer even better. John Edgar Widerman s Our Time addresses the controversial nature vs. nurture argument. This essay about John and his brother demonstrates how nurture plays a stronger and bigger role than nature. Trying not to be a product of your environment is so detrimental in making it in life. There are so many people blame their upbringing for the trouble they get in. Just because your mom or dad was not the richest people, or honest, or even if they were in and out of jail, drunks, drug addicts or whatever. That does not mean you should follow in their footsteps. No matter what, us as children should always strive to be better than our parents. No matter the pigmentation of your skin there will always be stereotypes. When some people see an African American male with a t shirt, jeans, and a pair of Jordan s on they might instantly think he is some type of thug or drug dealer. When some people see a single mother no matter African American or Caucasian with more than four kids some may think that they the kids might not have the same fathers. The crazy part is that the young African American male you see might be a doctor, a lawyer, or maybe the CEO of the company you want to work for, the single mother you see might be widowed, or anything. One goal in life should to be never to fall into the stereotype of your race, gender, or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. The Impact Of Organizational Change On Change Management Introduction Change is a phenomenon which is inevitable in every aspect of human life and it is always constant despite the fact that people do resist change due to some reasons. Organizational change is also a phenomenon which cannot be avoided by organization, because internal and external factors exist which can cause an organization to change. According to Mills an et al (2008) organization change can be defined as an alteration of a core aspect of an organization s operations. Theses core aspects involve culture of the company, the technology used or the structure of the organization. This report will evaluate the impact of organizational changes. Change Management The change Management function will assess the nature and magnitude of the change as a result of the change programme and who it will affect. In parallel to this, the team should put in place measures to assess how ready people are for the change. As an output of the change readiness assessments, and any areas of the organisation who look to be particularly resistant to change or are facing a significant volume of change can be given specific focus. The readiness to change will be measured across the project lifecycle to monitor and track the sentiment of the organisation. Policies and Procedures against the Strategic Plan Once reviewed, policies which had been developed in response to meeting the requirements of the strategic plan must b reviewed to identify those that require change. What Does the New Adwords Daily Budget Update Really Mean for You? When it comes right down to it what s changed? And do you actually lose any control over your daily AdWords budget spend? However, the end result of this policy, which is yet to be seen, has advertisers concluding that setting a daily budget means nothing now. Potential Issues (Good and Bad) as a Result of This New Update There are several things that are going to change and perhaps be a little more challenging. For example: 1. You ll probably never come in under your monthly advertising budget again. That could be good or bad depending on how you look at it. 2. This change will help you maximize your monthly ad spend by showing your ads to more people and that s great. Isn t that what you want? Of course you do. But it s also an opportunity for Google to increase their ad revenue because this will have every advertiser coming a little closer to spending all of their monthly budget. So it appears to be a win win for everyone. 3. Your daily tracking reports will show more sporadic numbers. On some days your ads will be overserved and other days they will fall short, but the daily fluctuations will go both ways which means your spend will level out by month s end. Explaining How it All Works Google has always had the ability to exceed the daily AdWords budget you ve selected; however, they previously had it capped at 20 percent versus the 100 percent they are now using to manipulate their policy. There is a need on campus to find ways of helping African American males connect with others. Whether it be in the classroom or outside the classroom. If I were to continue this study, one area I would think would be interesting is to examine the results of students who lived on campus, and those who were solely online students. The online learners would likely give a different perspective on the social viewpoints of college. Since the assumption was made that the students would be affected by social and academic in their persistence, on line students may have a disadvantage by not having the connections of a fraternity or being a part of a team as a support system to be successful. Another aspect that could be analyzed is the persistenace from students who started at MSU as freshmen, and compare that information with students who transferred from community college or other institutions. Some of the graduates stated they believe their determination to persist to graduation was due to having a mentor to help them throughout their college experience. A way to further this study could be to study the experiences of graduates who had mentors versus those who did not have a mentor and evaluate how this had an impact on their persistence to graduate. As a part of the study for this capstone, one one of the tenets for the African American Male Theory was used. Since the AAMT is a theoretical framework that can be used to articulate the position and trajectory of African American boys and men in society (Bush Bush, 2013), would any of the other tenets show or demonstrate the persistenace of African American males in high education. • 39. Paulo Freire The Banking Concept Of Education Paulo Freire believes that the world is primarily dominated by the banking concept in regards to education. Under the banking concept, Freire describes the relationship between students and teachers as involv[ing] a narrating Subject (the teacher) and patient, listening objects (the students) (216). Freire later goes on to symbolize students as empty receptacles awaiting teachers to dump their knowledge freely to fill the empty spaces. Memorization, obedience, oppression, and dominance all describe the inner workings of the banking concept. Students lose their ability to become cogitative thinkers as they memorize lectures, never speak their voice or dissent to teachers, and give all of their freedom to their professors. Students then become slaves to the classroom, and rather than a symbiotic relationship existing between students and teachers, the road is very one way. If Freire were to analyze ... Before closing Section II, Rodriguez states I read in order to acquire a point of view. I vacuumed books for epigrams, scraps of information, ideas, themes anything to fill the hollow within me and make me feel educated (350). This points readers in the direction that the banking concept molds students to be mindless receptacles awaiting dumped knowledge; reading then is used to soak in the word count and not the actual meaning behind the piece.
