the U.S. with an honest and intimate stage show. His sophisticated one man band guitar
style and universal message of Oneness, keeps THE Dubber booked year round.

Rene Russell will take the Listen Inc stage at 2 pm. Rene takes her musical ideas in
directions that few performers have been able to in recent times. Armed with a 12-string
Taylor guitar, an indomitable voice, this sophisticated siren can burn up a stage or a
stereo with the best of seasoned veterans and well-known acts. Dazzling audiences
for the past 20 years from Nashville to San Diego, Atlanta to Austin, Texas, Rene
Russell not only writes her own material, but performs it with the passion and precision
only a dedicated solo artist is capable of. Now residing in Charleston, SC, Rene has
made her mark on the music industry, sharing the stage with performers such as the
Indigo Girls, Tom Chapin, Jennifer Nettles (Sugarland), and the Doug Jones (Cravin’
Melon). The power of her voice and her incredible presence in front of an audience
could easily fit her onto any stage, and keep her level with any other artist.
PJ Brunson is also bringing her talent to the Listen Inc stage. PJ Brunson, a Carolina
singer-songwriter whose eclectic roots originated in a hybrid upbringing of country-folk
and easy-listening orchestral music. While her parents were fighting over the radio dial,
PJ had her own sound track running in her head at an early age. Growing up on the
edge of the coffeehouse era, she discovered Simon and Garfunkel and Jim Croce while
her friends were rocking out to Iron Butterfly and Steppenwolf. It was the best of times
for the singer-songwriter generation. PJ’s original songs blur the lines between country,
folk, and easy listening. She performs as a solo acoustic act, blending her own award-
winning songs with unique covers by her favorite artists such as Alison Krauss, Edwin
McCain, Joni Mitchell, and Dolly Parton. Her voice has been compared to Ann Murray,
3. Karen Carpenter, and Joan Baez and is complemented by her unique finger-picking
guitar style. She has a friendly and engaging stage presence that invites audiences to
sit back and take a listen, and often to sing along.
PJ has toured the Southeast and opened for the likes of Lyle Lovett, Nanci Griffith, and
the Charlotte Pops. She has appeared at numerous festivals, listening rooms, house
concerts, restaurants, bars, and coffee houses.

extremely seasoned musicians who in the fall of 2011 got together quite by accident
4. while playing a benefit where they had the opportunity to jam together. They had such a
great time and a great sound, that they decided to make it a regular occurrence and
formed the group Ewing, Adell and Co. Since then they have been playing regularly in
venues large and small throughout South Carolina. A young band in high demand, they
have already opened for John Wesley Satterfield, and Drivin n Cryin. Their playlist is
eclectic, performing music from artists including Fleetwood Mac, the Doors, Duffy,
Johnny Cash, Adele, Radiohead, Alabama Shakes, as well as some well received
originals. They are rocking high energy and fabulously entertaining!

Linda Ewing’s first professional gig was with the acoustic rock band Creel Taylor Brown. Four
years later, she signed on to play with Gwen and Boyfriend, and discovered that she had a
knack for, and enjoyed singing as well as playing drums. In 1997 she became an original
member of the group Red Sky and played and sang with them for eleven years while they
became known as one of the favorite bands of the region opening for acts including Mother’s
Finest and Peter Frampton. Over the past four years she has played drums and sung lead in the
acoustic trio Third Wheel, and an alternative rock band The Dirty Martinis until late 2011. Linda

backup vocals. Put them both together, and you have an incredibly hypnotic experience.

United States and in Europe. He played with Sourmash, and the Zassoff Boys, and toured
internationally with the USO. He has been a sought after studio and theatre musician, and

wanting more.
Bob Olds is a seasoned bassist with several decades of experience. He also plays keyboards
and sings back up. He has played with Circus, Spoon and the House Rockers, Howlin Wolf,
Ricky Lee Jones, and Jessie Ed Davis. Bob has also opened for John Lee Hooker, James
Brown, Bob Seger, James Taylor and Jerry Puckett & the Union Gap. Bob is an amazing and
flexible musician who is always coming up with creative ways to make the songs being played
sound great. Whether it’s shaking an egg, playing keyboards and bass at the same time, or
throwing great backing vocals into a song, his energy is boundless. His smooth bass lines are
both rich and full, and keep the music pumping.
