T: Good-morning, children! Glad to see you today! Sit down, please.

T: To guess what the theme of our lesson is read the mystery note, please

So, we’re going to talk about some famous people, their achievements and
their contribution to the development of their countries.
T: Put the word combinations into the correct order and make up a plan of
our lesson
(learn new facts, tell about what we’ve already learnt, revise useful words
and word combinations, have grammar drills, have vocabulary drills,
improve speaking skills)

T: Look at the portraits of these people. Do you know what their names
are? Учащимся предлагается посмотреть на портреты известных
деятелей (М.В.Ломоносова, Ю.А. Гагарина, Дж. Кука, Дж.
Вашингтона), назвать их. Tell our guests about one of these personalities.
T: At home you were to read the text, surf the Internet, and find as many
facts about life of M.V. Lomonosov as you can. To find out what you have
learnt about him, let’s take part in a quiz. (См. Приложение 2). Work in
groups, read the questions and circle the correct answers.

T: Today I' m going to tell you about one more person. There’s a film about
him and we’re going to watch it in a minute.

c) You will watch the film one more time. Then, do the comprehension
test. Agree (+) or disagree (-) with the following statements. But first of
all read the statements and underline the key words (Учащиеся читают
предложенные утверждения и выделяют в каждом из них ключевые
слова, слова, требующие проверки во время прослушивания текста)
1. Charlie Chaplin was an international film star.
2. He was born in Oxford in 1889 in a poor family.
3. When he was 5 years old, he acted in a theatre for the first time.
4. When he was 17, he was a very popular comedy actor in theatres in
London and around England.
5. In 1912 Charlie moved to the USA to live there.
6. He made his first film in 1940.
7. The films were black and white and silent back then.
8. They were about 10 minutes long.
9. Charlie Chaplin made over 60 films between 1914 and 1916.
10. He built a film studio, wrote, directed and produced a lot of films
and composed music to them.
11. He was a great comedian.

задание формата ОГЭ, в котором следует преобразовать слова,
напечатанные в конце строк так, чтобы они грамматически
соответствовали содержанию текста). Перед выполнением задания

учитель обращает внимание учащихся на алгоритм выполнения
заданий подобного рода. Можно предложить ответить на ряд
вопросов: 1) слова каких частей речи следует преобразовать? 2)

местоимениями, числительными? В каком времени следует
употребить глаголы, если речь идет о человеке, который уже ушел из
жизни?
Charlie Chaplin
This is a story that Chaplin 1) ___ to tell about himself.
It happened after the great actor had become world
famous.
A theatre announced that a competition would be held
to see who could act like Charlie Chaplin. Those taking
part had to dress like Chaplin, walk like Chaplin and act
one of the roles of a Chaplin films. When Charlie
Chaplin 2) ___ about the competition, he decided, as a
joke, to take part in the competition 3) ____. Naturally
he kept his plan a secret from everybody.
When the results of the competition were announced
Chaplin said: “I didn’t know whether to feel angry or

Who is absent?) T: To guess what the theme of our lesson is read the mystery note, please FAMOUSPEOPLEOFDIFFERENTCOUNTRIES (T: What does the note say? What are we going to have a talk about?) So, we’re going to talk about some famous people, their achievements and their contribution to the development of their countries. T: At home you were to read the text, surf the Internet, and find as many facts about life of M.V. Lomonosov as you can. To find out what you have learnt about him, let’s take part in a quiz. (См. Приложение 2). Work in groups, read the questions and circle the correct answers. There’s a film about him and we’re going to watch it in a minute. T: You will watch a short film. Charlie Chaplin was an international film star. 2. He was born in Oxford in 1889 in a poor family. 3. When he was 5 years old, he acted in a theatre for the first time. 4. When he was 17, he was a very popular comedy actor in theatres in London and around England. 5. In 1912 Charlie moved to the USA to live there. 6. He made his first film in 1940. 7. The films were black and white and silent back then. 8. They were about 10 minutes long. 9. Charlie Chaplin made over 60 films between 1914 and 1916. 10. He built a film studio, wrote, directed and produced a lot of films and composed music to them. 11. He was a great comedian. Let’s check it up. The key: 1+; 2-; 3+; 4+; 5+; 6-; 7+; 8+; 9-; 10+; 11+. Можно предложить ответить на ряд вопросов: 1) слова каких частей речи следует преобразовать? 2) Какие изменения могут произойти с глаголами, прилагательными, местоимениями, числительными? В каком времени следует употребить глаголы, если речь идет о человеке, который уже ушел из жизни? Charlie Chaplin This is a story that Chaplin 1) ___ to tell about himself. It happened after the great actor had become world famous. A theatre announced that a competition would be held to see who could act like Charlie Chaplin. Those taking part had to dress like Chaplin, walk like Chaplin and act one of the roles of a Chaplin films. When Charlie Chaplin 2) ___ about the competition, he decided, as a joke, to take part in the competition 3) ____. Naturally he kept his plan a secret from everybody.
