1. Gustavo Perez’s overview of the HIV talk at PSM
HIV, the human immunodeficiency virus, is a virus that kills your body’s CD4 cells. AIDS, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, is a disease you get when HIV destroys your body’s immune system. Simian immunodeficiency virus, SIV, also known as Monkey AIDS is a retrovirus. HIV is a member of the genus Lenti-virus part of the family of Retroviridae.
Out of all the people how gave talks I believe that the HIV talk was the best described. He showed very good oral skills speaking in English. He also explained everything he was doing in detail. The presentation showed that he knew what he was talking about. His skills presenting in front of a crowd is very good.
I guess the speaker could have given more simple examples to help others understand better. Also he could have been a little bit less general about his theme. He also read his entire presentation instead of being guided by it. Since he read his entire presentation one might even think that he wasn’t prepared, which was not the case but others might think that.
