techniques like collage, drawing,
diagramming and tex-based
exercises to enable participants to
express their thoughts, feelings,
and wants. In later stages,
constructive techniques focusing on
exercises enabling participants to
design and create concepts

of exercises for a specific
workshop is made after
preparation process to answer
project needs.
The common order of a
workshop can be described as
Opening, Shaping(ideas or
products), Evaluation

to the user in small design
modules and user was asked to
form a homepage answers his
needs.

exercise. Preliminary concepts
deriven from research findings
were given to the participants as
cards and they were asked to
bring the product to a step
further.

  • 5. WORKSHOPS You can bring your end users, stakeholdes, designers, developers, sales and marketing people etc., together and make them shape your product with right tools and techniques. 5 In early stages, projective techniques like collage, drawing, diagramming and tex-based exercises to enable participants to express their thoughts, feelings, and wants. In later stages, constructive techniques focusing on exercises enabling participants to design and create concepts Co-Design
  • 6. ANATOMY OF A WORKSHOP Workshops are conducted with the help of numerous genertive ideation exercises. The selection of exercises for a specific workshop is made after preparation process to answer project needs. The common order of a workshop can be described as Opening, Shaping(ideas or products), Evaluation 6 An example of an opening exercise. Site content was given to the user in small design modules and user was asked to form a homepage answers his needs. (Sil Method) Another example of an opening exercise. Preliminary concepts deriven from research findings were given to the participants as cards and they were asked to bring the product to a step further. Co-Design
  • 7. ANATOMY OF A WORKSHOP Workshops are conducted with the help of numerous genertive ideation exercises. The selection of exercises for a specific workshop is made after preparation process to answer project needs. The common order of a workshop can be described as Opening, Shaping(ideas or products), Evaluation 7 Co-Design An example of a shaping exercise. Here, participants are building a flow with their designs. Another example of a shaping exercise. Participants are generating ideas according to the customer journey maps they created.
  • 8. ANATOMY OF A WORKSHOP Workshops are conducted with the help of numerous genertive ideation exercises. The selection of exercises for a specific workshop is made after preparation process to answer project needs. The common order of a workshop can be described as Opening, Shaping(ideas or products), Closing/Evaluation 8 Co-Design An example of a closing exercise. Participants were asked to vote and eliminate the ideas. An example of an opening exercise. Participants were asked to develop empathy with the end users. (Empathy Maps)
