So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] -

   It is recommended (It is recommended (sunatsunat oror  mandubmandub) for Muslims to have a meal) for Muslims to have a meal
before dawn called “before dawn called “SAHURSAHUR”.”.
 The Fast begins from Dawn (The Fast begins from Dawn (Fajr/SubuhFajr/Subuh) until sunset () until sunset (MaghribMaghrib).).

This is a very dangerous malady, the outcome of inquisitiveness ofThis is a very dangerous malady, the outcome of inquisitiveness of
others combined with our conceit which tends to rouse us intoothers combined with our conceit which tends to rouse us into
divulging the faults in others, is the sin of ‘divulging the faults in others, is the sin of ‘GHIBAHGHIBAH’ (backbiting)’ (backbiting)
The Prophet s.a.w. considers this sin to be worst than adultery orThe Prophet s.a.w. considers this sin to be worst than adultery or
imbibing intoxicant because these can be forgiven by Allah s.w.t.imbibing intoxicant because these can be forgiven by Allah s.w.t.

Surah (Chapter) which profoundly explains the Oneness of Allah is
also called “Surah Al-Ikhlasw” (Q:112).

 From this, we must understand that we Muslims should never fall
prey to conceit nor forget the actual reason for our striving to do
good is, as an act of attesting to the Oneness of Allah; serving and
worshipping only Him.
 To be sincere therefore means:
“to negate all other considerations as the essential or primary
motive, except for the sake of Allah –
seeking His nearness (QURB) to please Him (REDHA) ”

 It is interesting that without truly striving to attest with TAUHEED –
to attest that only Allah is god, the One we were created to serve
and to worship to exclusively , then a person may take his / her
Nafs (self) or Hawa’ (desires) as ‘god’ – which may lead to the
spiritual disease of ‘ujub (self-conceit) and riya’ (ostentations).
