- L’altra applicazione diretta discendente del web 1.0, gli RSS. Gli RSS (really simple syndication), basati su xml, sono forse l’elemento portante di tutti I contenuti del web che conosciamo come web 2.0 Podcast, blogs, social networks, social bookmarking, photosharing, videosharing… tutti I servizi web 2.0 hanno alla base la possibilita’ di ri-pubblicare I contenuti, tutti I contenuti, sotto forma di rss, in modo da poter essere sindacati, cioe’ richiamati e riutilizzati in altri modi ed in altri luoghi. Per capirci, e’ attraverso gli rss che siamo in grado di poter avere l’orario de treni che troviamo sul sito delle ferrovie dello stato sul nostro iPhone, senza che le ferrovie stesse abbiano dovuto produrre due volte lo stesso orario. Come vedremo poi, sono utilizzati principalmente dagli utenti diciamo evoluit del web, e quindi a maggior ragione dagli information professionals quali i bibliotecari sono, per costruire la propria rete di conoscenze. Mentre I software e gli strumenti che permettono di aggregare vari rss contengono funzioni web20, l’rss in quanto tale e’ strettamente unidirezionale. Per questo, come vedremo poi, il loro utilizzo nel mondo del web 20 vero e proprio sta avendo nuovi sviluppi nel campo dei social bookmarking.
