Typical first year college students are out-going, excited, and look for ways to connect with their university. When I entered college, I had none of these “typical” qualities. As I entered my sophomore year, I challenged myself to become more involved on-campus and applied to be a College of Natural Resource (CNR) Ambassador. While some would say unfortunately, I say “fortunately,” I was not chosen to be an ambassador. Through what could be labeled a failure; I found self-confidence, open-mindedness, and my future profession.
