À propos
A kampung tinkerer at Ground-Up Initiative (GUI), Veera's maker journey started with Meccano and Lego kits. He was trained as a Mechanical Engineer where he designed and built solar pond dryers, flying wind turbines and miniature toothpick furniture. Listed on 5 US patents for biomedical devices while working for a Silicon Valley startup, he had a good opportunity to observe and participate in the garage culture there even building a full-fledged house over 8 months. On returning to Singapore, he co-founded the Sustainable Living Lab with like-minded maker buddies to develop the kampung culture of innovation in Singapore. He also co-founded the Humanitarian Engineering Alliance (HEAL).
